Had a relative in the hospital in the area so Peter's was the closest place to get something to eat plus reviews were good. Ordered a Steak and Cheese sub. Food was very good and I'll be back tonight to try some Chinese food. Please keep in mind that this is take-out only and there is nothing in the way of ambience. Just good food at a good price. I'll edit later and add my thoughts on their Chinese food. Stopped by two days later and got the Beef and Broccoli combo plate. Tons of food for the price. Food was fresh but a little on the bland side. Egg roll was very good.
Excellent food.if you r from new York City then u know how Chinese food taste are.its amazing and a hidden gem in takoma park.very cheap bt the taste is excellent. And the guy peter is very outgoing person.very quick food.must Try if u don't wanna cook at home. Recommendations Buffalo wings, Peter wings, cheese burger, chicken with broccoli, sezhuan beef,
Basically your run of the mill sub/chinese place. Their hogies and chicken wings were on the spot for a quick lunch break. Lots of locals were coming through around lunch time our first visit - always a good sign! Would recommend their subs and wings... There's no tables though so don't plan on eating there :)

The place is high on my list, I was not disappointed please try the pepper shrimp suck with the shell on its a game changer. Get the pineapple with ginger the staff is friendly it's hidden in a shopping center but it's a gem. If you looking for a fancy place this ain't it!!! It's about the food which is bloody good!!!!
I am ashamed that it took me so long to write this review. I have been coming to Caribbean Sea for a long time and I really love the food. Most of the time, I get the same things off of the menu because I crave it so bad. For me, its all about the Shrimp Scampi and the Brown Stew Snapper! OMG, the sauce is delectable. I always have leftovers because I cannot fathom one dish without the other. They also give you a lot of rice and peas. The decor is not much to be excited about, but the food is so good that I don't even care! Writing this review is making me hungry for some Caribbean Sea right now. 4 Stars!
Small quaint. Very cozy and diverse. Had the Morgan stew red snapper fresh and crispy. My Jamaican foodies say its a must and authentic

Juicy, moist, falling-off-the-bone tender chicken with a herb-encrusted skin!! It came with 2 sauces (yellow and green) that I really liked, especially the green one which was spicier. The sides were also good. I tried rice & beans and coleslaw. Both were well-seasoned and delicious.

BEST pupusas in the area...hands down! Carne Asada was very tasty and prices are reasonable. I wouldn't recommended for dining in, the waitress recommended I call next to order in advance. Im giving them 4 stars and not 5 because they charged me 2.50 for sour cream!!
Very good value. The carne asada is delicious, love the large salad on the side with avocado and hard boiled eggs.
Came for breakfast since the Feds closed for the snow. Extremely clean and warm atmosphere with lots of blues. We sat at the high top counters inside. Service was prompt and very friendly. We both got typical breakfasts and papusas. I'm not into plantains but my boyfriend was all about them. The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy with fresh vegetables. The tortillas were steaming and so soft. I could have eaten just tortillas really. The papusas were on point. Could have used more curtido to go with them, but then again I eat way too much of that as is. The hortcha was quite tasty as well. You'll find me here again soon!

Walia Ethiopian Restaurant

Ate there last night with the family. The Doro Wat was one of the best we have had in the DC area. I have had so many Doro Wats over the years and just thought I was losing my affection for Ethiopian food, until last night. The Mesir Wat on the vegi platter was also excellent. We also had a lamb tibs and while the kids liked it, it was a little insipid for me, perhaps I just ordered the wrong one. The vegi platter was good. The prices were reasonable ($12.99 per?). The place was empty 6pm Friday (kinda early I suspect) We will definitely be returning.
This is another great Ethiopian restaurant. I have been here a few times and their Vegetarian combination is delicious. One special thing about it is the beet salad which is great. I have gone with groups as big as 8 or so and it has been perfect. One of my friends as part of a high school newspaper article investigated many Ethiopian restaurants in the area. Last time he ordered the Walia Golden Tibs (sp?) and said it was one of the best if not the best Ethiopian meat he has ever had. The parking lot is not great but other than that no real complaints. If it were closer to where I live it might be my go to Ethiopian place.
NO, THEY DO NOT DELIVER!! Oct 3, 2012. someone needs to fix that since it says that they DO.

I pass this place a lot from work and thought I would stop this evening. I was especially in the mood for some Caribbean food. I was surprised and happy to hear that they sell curried goat. I specifically asked if it was goat particularly because they advertise their food as Caribbean. These people are damn crooks! How can you be advertising lamb meet as goat meat?!!! And to make matter worse, it tasted like crap. They will not be seeing me again. It's possible the worse tasting food I have ever had.
Pretty good overall. Definitely not an inviting atmosphere but the staff was sweet. My party ordered all roti- literally tried one of each. They were fine. I'd say the only one I would order again would be the boneless chicken. Think chicken breasts sliced in roti. Salt fish was ok. Veggie good. Beef good. Shrimp not great.
This unassuming carry out is well worth the hike. And boasts, in my opinion, some of the best roti in the DMV. Don't expect much in the way of ambiance, aside from a floral curtain and a photo of Obama, there is no decor. Food is made away from the eye behind a pane of drywall. And unless you get there early in the day, you'll probably miss out on some of the more popular items, boneless chicken and doubles. This is a family-run joint so you'll most likely be waited on by either the mother or very friendly daughter. My go-to is the goat roti and doubles with extra tamarind sauce. Don't expect to dine-in, there's no seating and make sure to bring cash, this place is cash only.

This place serves up the best jerk chicken in the DMV...if you not from yard you may miss my point. Some are use to the commercial jerk and Jamaican food you find on holiday at the tourist spots. Or some one wan try a ting... However, Frank is serving the real deal countryside yard food. Real jerk not need sauce dripping, when you know yard food everything a marinated over day and night to get through the meat...no sauce needed unless another cuisine you look for (american bbq)
Perhaps I am a harsh critic but when someone says they are giving me jerk chicken, I expect a certain flavor... The chicken by it self just grilled is pretty good. IT HAS NO JERK SEASONING!!! Their website promotes the jerk seasoning they use, WTF... Red beans and rice were dry and bland. However, lo and behold I found a spicy beef patty that was excellent!!! My search is over! Best thing they have that I tried, trust me go get a couple and be happy...
Jerk chicken was okay. Could have been better because they ran out of jerk sauce. They did offer to give me more but I would've had to wait 20 minutes. I ordered a spicy beef patty and she gave it to me as I waited for my chicken. The patty was excellent and I should have brought 2. The cabbage was also very tasty, not too soft or salty. I would go again but have to make sure they have Jerk sauce on hand.

Came here based on YELP ratings and we weren't disappointed. Wife wanted chitterlings, and she got them. Nice and tender, and most importantly, CLEAN :-) I had to swear off chitterlings a while back after eating some another establishment put me in the hospital, but I sampled hers and they were yummy. She also had sides of Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes that were tasty too. Daughter had fried platter of four shrimp, four scallops, and four oysters. Oysters looked like they were only lightly dusted in flour...I don't like them heavily caked or battered, so that's on my list for a future visit. I had the grilled seafood platter of tilapia, crab cake, shrimp, and scallops that came with sauteed onions and peppers, sides were collard greens and mac-cheese. The portions are huge. I made two meals of this. There is still some leftover mac-cheese. Will be posting pix. Definitely plan a return visit. On the menu is also soft shelled crabs and that's a hit with us.
I ordered the salmon cake sandwich with sweet potato fries. Sandwich means that my salmon patty should be between two pieces of bread. This was not the case, some assembly required. Also the menu stated that atop my sandwich would be coleslaw and pickles. Nope. I'm angry because I ordered with other people and someone ordered the turkey club sandwich. It looked delicious and it was assembled. I called to ask why was my sandwich not sent the way the menu said and why did it cost more. They were so rude and did not want to fix the fact that i DID NOT get what I wanted. I will absolutely positively Not be ordering from there.
I am in love. My partner and I were craving fried seafood, and man is this the place to go! We decided to pick up dinner for a Friday night at home. We pulled into a crowded parking lot. Walked into a crowded restaurant and a long ass line. Man, was it worth the wait! We decided to go all out, being our first time. We ordered a combination with fried scallops, fried shrimp and fried bonefish (can't remember what kind). We also had the baked trout stuffed with lump crab. For sides, collard greens, kale, corn and mac & cheese. Everything was DELICIOUS. The only thing, I didn't care for was the fried scallops, they were kinda small and too much breading. The stuffed trout was good, but I definitely like their fried fish better. Macaroni in the mac & cheese was al dente. Cheese sauce was smooth and perfect. Collard greens were firm and not too salty which is an issue I run into often at other establishments. But hands down, the best side is the kale. They really know how to prepare kale just right. I absolutely loved it. Their fried shrimp is also very good. Next time, I looking forward to trying the fried tilapia and/or the fried trout the next time around. I will have myself a platter of fried fish, maybe two and the extra large container for sides that they offer (which is humungous) of kale. I am so NOT kidding. The best part about the fried fish, is not once did I think or feel I need any kind of sauce. The taste in itself is so amazing. No condiments are needed. The food is VERY fresh. You can taste it and the pain during the wait. But again, well worth it. They really have an extensive menu. It's hard to be able to try everything, especially when you find the things you love the most. Service isn't the greatest nor the worst. They were super busy, so I didn't really hold that against them. I was one happy girl. The best fried fish I have had in the DC/MD/VA area - for sure.

Top notch cheap pizza! Good sauce, good dough, and good service. Nothing mind blowing here, of course, but makes for a great weeky special around these parts. Try the breaded eggplant topping! Also, I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan. So we usually get a half cheese/half no cheese pizza and then she adds daiya. Both sides are good!
Decent pizza for cheap. Better than dominos or Pizza Hut, but not as good as Ledos. The cheese is good, tomatoes are fresh, but I would stay away from the mushrooms as they taste like they came out of a can. Pizza was delivered hot and fresh in 30 minutes. Solid 3 stars
I wish I could review their pizza, fresh squeezed orange juice, mojitos, and stuffed dates; but after waiting 10-15 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant, I left because I wasn't even offered a glass if water, despite the waiter bringing water to the table next to us. I left and went to the Ledo Pizza chain nearby and was immediately treated like a customer. I want to be fair to Pizza Roma. The place looks nice, the food looks good, and I was excited to try them out. I get that sometimes things happen beyond their control, and it's not all about me. I bet this place is great, but I can only speak of the experience I had. Please use this as constructive criticism. Bringing me water and explaining the situation would have made all the difference.
