Nothing short of amazing!!! The home was just quite lovely, breakfast left little to be desired, and peaceful enviornment was exactly what we were hoping for! Both myself and my husband look forward to returning soon. The town too held many options of exploration, and there was never a dull moment during our visit. George Brook's home was our first experience of a Bed and Breakfast, and I am glad we lucked out with such a pick! Thanks for such a lovely experience. The Padillas
This is a great place with great staff. The only reason for four stars is that from where we were you could hear everything. So -1 for the feel of a little lack of seclusion we felt.
This is a really nice place located just north of St. Michaels, but yet still within walking distance if so desired. You do hear road noise from Rt. 33, but the rooms are very nice and the breakfast very tasty. All the rooms have A/C and their own bathroom. We didn't use the pool, but they do have one in addition to a hot tub and bicycles to use. georgebrookshouse.com The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the clutter around the house, if that was cleaned up, it would be a clear 5 star B&B.

We were in town for the night and this seemed to be the place that everyone recommended for dinner. We were told to make a reservation, which seemed to be a good idea. It became rather busy. It's a great place set up in an old house. The wait staff was extremely friendly. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer. They were more than enough for two people to share. My husband loved them and they had a great garlic smell. (As a disclaimer, I didn't eat many of them since I was feeling ill, although I wanted to). For dinner my husband ordered the chicken and I got the bowl of tomato soup from the appetizer menu. At this point, I really felt ill (not b/c of the food) and we had to go. As soon as the meal came, we had to ask to pack it to go. This was no problem for the waitstaff. They quickly got our food packed and we were paid. A little while later when I was feeling better, I had the soup. It was extremely good. I only hope we can go back soon when I am feeling better and can enjoy it there.
My sister and I had dinner here for our girls night out. The people that worked there greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. The menu was small but covered the major categories. We like limited menus with offerings that are prepared well. I had the pan roasted chicken and my sister had the Rockfish which she LOVED. The ambiance is nice but not stuffy. All in all this was a wonderful experience and I recommend it for all occasions or simply a good meal.
I have dined at the Bistro for several years. It is my favorite restaurant. I travel extensively and always go to the Bistro every chance I get( several times a month). Chef David is a master of bold flavors in high quality fresh food done right every time. The service staff is excellent as well. It doesn't get much better than this no matter where you could dine.

We were fortunate to have two outstanding dinners at Theo's this past weekend. The steaks were high end generous cuts cooked to perfection. On our second visit I had some of the best short ribs on the planet. The daily special "tots" are also a must have. While the food was 5 star, the service was even better. Laura our waitress/ bartender made both our meals special occasions. If you are in St. Michaels and want the best go to Theo's.
Susan had a tenderloin salad. She loved it. Perfect, she said. Fresh ingredients with just the right amount of dressing I got a cheese burger. Huge! I mean huge! Delicious. Great fries, too. Cooked perfectly, flavorful. Naturally, besides the two kinds of cheese, sautéed onions, and mushrooms, I got bacon! Fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion made it even more colossal! Susan had a Malbec and I had a couple of great dirty martinis. Blue cheese olives and Grey Goose rounded out a delightful dinner.
The food here is excellent. My filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious & my husband's soft shell crabs were crispy & flavorful. The onion straws were another big hit with us. Other pluses go to the waitress, who was very attentive, & the setting, as we enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the lively activity on the street. The one big minus is the prices. $36 for the small filet & mashed potatoes was too steep, as was $36 for two small crabs with no sides whatsoever!

I too am shocked by the negative reviews.....this weekend the wife, puppyface and I spent time on Tilghman Island, on the way back we stopped in St Michaels since we had puppyface with us our choice for food was limited....we saw Marcoritaville with its outdoor seating and inquired if they were pet friendly which they are......after being seated and when our waitress returned with menus and a surprise for puppyface she immediately gave here a bowl of water and bought a bone for her from the kitchen....our service was spot on and the food was fresh flavorful and hot ..... will definitely go there again when we are in the neighborhood.........
Came for drinks and they were fine. Service was slow, and seriously it's 95 degrees outside. Turn in the air conditioning.
It's probably not fair to write a review when we did not actually get to eat at this place, but that's why I'm giving it a 1! We sat down outside immediately, waitress took our drink order fairly quickly, but then it was all down hill from there. Drinks finally arrived, but the food, after an hour, didn't. We were patient for a little while, but then we asked the waitress twice about the food. We had somewhere to be and could not wait any longer so we left. The manager apologized and didn't charge us for the drinks, but come on, an hour for 4 sandwiches and fries? There are a bunch of other restaurants in St. Michael's who will probably feed you in a timely manner. Go there!

Marco's is a really great spot. We spent a few days in St. Michael's and stopped here for a light lunch. We sat at the bar and ordered some sushi and appetizer's and everything was phenomenal. The bartender was super nice - we found out we were from the same area and had a great conversation. The owner also came out and talked to us as well and we discovered that he's also from the same parts of Pennsylvania. The food and staff are great here. They made us feel very comfortable and offered suggestions on what to do in town.
Just stopped in for an appetizer and drinks ... Spicy Crab Salsa was good ... Drink prices a bit steep at $8.95 for a rail Orange Crush ... But service was way too slow and no one checked back after delivering order ... Had to ask for the check to leave after waiting for quite awhile ... Too slow & disorganized
Food was just okay. My date ordered the fried dumplings, and they were way too hard and crispy. No subtlety whatsoever in the texture. She also tried the shrimp puttanesca, but it was pretty far from any puttanesca that I've ever had. Yes, it was tasty, but it needed more tomatoes to make it a closer iteration of the classic Italian fare. I ordered the fried calamari with the marinara sauce and thought it was good if unmemorable. No tentacles were included, but I like the tentacles. Minor detail. The fried oyster entree was decent but maybe a tad undercooked. The biggest issue is that almost all of our food arrived too cold. Not sure if this is a kitchen issue or a waitress issue, but it was really annoying, and hot food is a basic requirement for any restaurant. The owner, Marco, came out and was certainly gregarious and fun, but we were hoping for more from this restaurant.
