Came into Baltimore today from Kent Island with my better half Sandy and our daughter Lacey. They wanted dinner after shopping so I checked in with my buddy Pete and he recommended Dellis'. He advised me to get the oysters and the octopus. Well, I was a bit hesitant because I've only had "GOOD" octopus a few times in my lifetime (in Greece and whenever my Dad made it)...the other times have always been tough and chewy. Not this time! This was the best, most tender and tastiest octopus I've ever had! It was FABULOUS. A tip of my cap to the chef! My girls loved their dishes and we all left "HAPPY EATERS"!

I have been there many times for drinks and for food. The food is great as well as the service. It's a great place you will enjoy whatever time of day you go.

I regret going there. Michelle was my server and greeted all of the couples beside me by introducing herself. I was solo, just in for drinks and to watch the O's game. She waited on everyone else and then came to me. Unfriendly. Checked on me once (after a very very long time). I paid and still gave a good tip just to show her that my money spends just like everyone else. ONLY THEN did find her manners. She had been outright rude before, but now she was asking if I needed anything. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. The food was meh anyway. Seemed like a nice spot to watch the game but service will keep me away.

Not a bad place. Good chicken wings, but some other dishes are somewhat average. Comfortable atmosphere, so I've returned several times.

Absolutely delicious crab cake. One is enormous and very satisfying. Fresh steamed vegetable medley was good, too. Don't be put off by the bar look from the outside.

Good food. Really need to spice up the menu. Same stuff. Little weekly special section just doesn't cut it. Offer some variety. Don't let Ted out of kitchen. He knows everything about everything.

Good eats - never fails to please I come this way only a couple of times a year, and usually hit Dellis for dinner. This time, I stopped for a late lunch with my husband on a trip north. Better than pub grub. Crab soup- Red and cream of - were both first rate. While not quite up to NYC standards, my husband's Ruben was still very tasty and he enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a grilled cheddar with bacon and tomato, and it was first rate. Our waitress, Helen, was terrific.

Don't let the divey exterior turn you off. The place is welcoming, the staff sweet, helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. My folks were in Baltimore for the weekend staying just down the road and I came up from Virginia with friend of mine to visit with them. We stopped by mid afternoon and stayed for several hours in a comfortable booth chatting and feasting. The crab pretzel appetizer was incredible. We loved their crab cake sandwiches, fried oysters, and lovely crispy french fries. I'll definitely go back if I find myself in the area again, or maybe even go out of my ready for another visit!

Wow...I can't believe that this place is rated so high! My husband and I had dinner here last night. We were NOT impressed. When I first walked in, I noticed that the decor looked like this had once been a Chinese restaurant and they didn't bother to update the restaurant when they opened it up as a bar/restaurant. The service was friendly and quick, but that just can't cover up the fact that the food was abysmal. I ordered their "famous" crab cakes and the hubby ordered the scallops. I had the rosemary potatoes and vegetable medley for my sides. I wanted a side salad but they did not offer a vinaigrette dressing. I should have known then that the food wasn't going to be good. If your best dressing is ranch, you probably aren't offering the best fare. The crab cakes had a lot of lump crab meat in them. The positives end there. The ingredients in their mix seemed to be overloaded with mustard, making them have a weird taste. The scallops were cooked okay but were bland and unimpressive. The rosemary potatoes were cold which was a shame because they were probably the highlight of the meal. The insult was when we received the check. Our dinner was over $50. We regretted nor going to OPI, which had always given us good food at a fair, cheaper price.

Came here to eat for my buddy's birthday. Wasn't crowded at all and we were seated right away with 6 people in our party. The waitress was nice and attentive throughout the whole night, making sure we had everything we asked for. The crab cakes were delicious and filling served with melted butter. The baked potato went good with the sour cream and the Greek styled greens were also delicious. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food to come out, and everybody got what they ordered no mistakes. It was a good night out and this place left a good first impression on me.

Nice restaurant and bar with good food for a decent price. Love the crab cakes and cream of crab soup, some of the best I've had in the area. Bar can fill quick and get noisy but you can ignore it. Try the crab pretzel too!

So I was l poking around for a place where a friend and I could get a meal in the Rosedale area and this place came recommended. That recommendation was right on point! Dell's is the type of place that you would pass unless you are to the area. Nondescript little bar turned out be a decent restaurant. As you enter the door, you see a advertisement for German food and immediately start thinking 'yeah right'. When you go in you are in the dining room area with booths and tables that separately need to be updated, but stay the course Yelpers- you will be rewarded.

Came here for dinner and to watch football game. Had steak and cake, ordered steak rare and it was. Sides so-so, overcooked green beans and potatoes. The bar has many tv's but not in hi-def. I asked why and they said they don't have HD receivers so left to watch elsewhere.

Small, quaint, rickety old bar/lounge that offers friendly service and fantastic food. If you're in Baltimore for the first time and you want to try out practically any seafood dish, this is your place! From crab imperial to sea scallops and yellow fin tuna.. this place offers the best seafood around town. Come here on the reg with my family but its also great for a first date. If you aren't into seafood, the menu is very large and in charge - so you shouldnt have an issue finding something to eat. From typical bar food to expensive dinner plates and healthy options, Dellis' has the right stuff at the right price. Expect to spend a little bit more money here but know that the portions you will get are enough to feed you for dinner and lunch the next day!

The number 1 best crab cake in Maryland. I always say if I have to add seasoning to a crab cake then it's not the best. I LOVE AND THINK THERE CRAB CAKE IS THE BEST!!!

Some of the best crab cakes I've had...moist, fresh and simple. Sides were uniformly excellent too. Casual bar and grill with Orioles on the TV but reasonably quiet and friendly place. Service was fast, cheerful and efficient

We went to lunch at Delli's when we were visiting Baltimore. Had the crab pretzel and the grilled shrimp with arugula pesto and those two appetizers were so delicious and filling that we never even ordered entrees! The food was so good we came back the next night for dinner. The steamed shrimp are excellent! Service was GREAT both times! Good size portions and reasonable prices. Gotta love this place!

Great local restaurant with a good selection of food. Very fast and friendly service. The shrimp bisque was delicious, with a lot of big shrimp at the bottom. The crab cake sandwich was pretty good with lumps of crab meat. Could use just a little more spices and moisture to hold it together. My wife had a delicious hot corned beef sandwich. I am sorry I missed this place for the last 19 years.

This is my first review, and I chose Delli's because I really enjoyed the experience. Sure, the decor is dated, but the restaurant was clean and the service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was better than average for the area, and much better than typical bar food. We visited for lunch on a Monday and the place seemed mostly full of people who seemed to be enjoying the food. My wife and I have added it to our small circle of go-to eateries.

We were apprehensive about this place at first. From outside it looks a bit like a dive, the inside decor is confused. Overly large picture of a topiary garden on one side, what looks to be an oriental gazebo and cranes the other. Fortunately we stayed to eat. My husband had seafood Alfredo, I had seared ahi tuna salad. The tuna was flavorful and cooked perfectly to order. My husband said his Alfredo was the second best he'd ever had. We will go back, but a rehab and some marketing would go a long way here.

Holy cow. This place is great. All kinds of things on the menu--steak, pasta, seafood, and even a few vegetarian options (big Greek salad and big Garden salad). I was really pleased with it all. The food tasted great, was perfectly done, and had huge portions, not that huge portions are always good, but I can't complain. Get a doggy bag, right? The place seems to have quite a bar scene, too. You really wouldn't notice its unassuming facade from the street, but it is totally worth stopping in.

When you finally get tired of the trendy chain restaurants go to Dellis'. The staff is the best around. Always greeted with a smile. We take our 1yr to Dellis' often and every time they are as accommodating as humanly possible. The menu is big but not too big and the specials are always fantastic. You can go sit in the dining room and enjoy a family dinner or sit at the bar and laugh with friendly folks and watch the game on multiple televisions (Go Ravens!). We always take our visiting guests to Dellis and have never dissapointed. I'd tell you to ask for a specific waitress but they are all great.

Traveling in the area and decided to drop in for some local fare. What a great surprise. Mid-week happy hour was a good crowd of locals enjoying draft beers and appetizers. The staff was friendly and accommodating to me. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was awesome! Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The condiments were all fresh, especially the sliced tomatoes! In November? Great place I would come back any time !!!

This place may not look the best, or be in the best area, but it is a great find. Plenty of specials and a large diverse menu. Pasta dishes are to be avoided, seafood and steak are good. Had to send my filet back, was 2 temps too cooked, but it happens. I ordered the "triple crown" which had a ton of lump crabmeat on top and shrimp covered in crab sauce. They did bring it back completely built with crab and shrimp after I ate it before I sent it back, so kudos to them for that. Large bar area, lots of TVs, noisy, and not the best decorated place, but food is worth the trip.

CONSISTENTLY GOOD FOOD We have gone to lunch there many times and always had good food... I know if I go there tomorrow I will have a great lunch... The atmosphere needs to be updated, or you can say it has character, either way you will find me and my wife there each week...

I've passed this place for years when visiting the nursing home just behind it. Last week I finally stopped in for a quick bite. The interior is much nicer than I expected and the bar with lots of TVs seemed really inviting to watch a game and have some drinks at. I wound up ordering the crab pretzel appetizer. It was alright. The pretzel was good and the crab/cheese concoction was too, just a little heavy on the cheese in my opinion. Servers could use some customer service (at least acknowledgment) training. I will most likely visit again and give a proper meal a try.

I love Dellis' Seafood! I'm from B'more, but now live on the WestCoast. Believe me, there is nothing like going back home for a decent Baltimore seafood dinner. Dellis' has thus far, in the passed several years, always been my restaurant of choice to entertain family and friends. Crabcakes and variations on the theme are my 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices, along with fat shrimp and all the Imperial Sauce my heart can take. The staff have always been very courteous, helpful and efficient. Only one star off. If a Big Game is on, the bar noise can overwhelm conversations in the Dining Room, and my visits are precious to me.

I first want u to know that I've frequented Dellis for over 10+ yrs and enjoyed their food. I never had to returned anything or had any problems with the staff. Well that has changed now! Last night I ordered Shrimp Marinara to go. Got home and they forgot to give me my salad no biggie wasn't worried so I took a fork full of noodles and then bit into 1 shrimp and it tasted weird so I spit it out. I cut into another one and it wasn't all the way pink like shrinp should be when their fully cooked. So I cut into others and the same thing. I cook shrimp all time so I know what they should look like. Now it's like $18 or $19 plus tax for this meal so I called Dellis and spoke to the manager. He said I can make for u again or pick something else. I said just give my a Turkey club sandwich and I also told him they also forgot my salad as well. He told me I probably told them I didn't want it. I said no I did want it and he can ask the girl who I ordered from because I asked for the house dressing but said whatever I didn't want to go back and forth. He told me to bring it back and we'll work something out. So I took it back to the restaurant when I walked in the manger didn't greet me, acknowledge me, or even say anything to me he just grabbed my bag took it to the back. He came out still no apologies, no acknowledgment that I, a paying customer, wasn't happy with my meal and said here you take the club (cost of club like $9) and we'll call it even. I asked how is that even? He proceeded to TELL that since I ate half of the meal and half the shrimp are gone that's even. His exact words "U ate half u no like u get half money". I didn't even eat a quarter of it because the shrimp was under cooked and I started to feel like he was accusing me of trying to get over on him or stealing from him. Then he tells me that he knows how to cook and those Shrimp were cooked right and thats it now go. I couldn't believe he was actually going back and forth with me!?! At this point my patience was nearly gone so I laughed and just said "well I cook too and to me they weren't done to my liking and I've ordered this meal before and didn't have any issues". So I told him to stop going back n forth with a paying customer who it not satisfied with their meal and He told me not to tell him what to do and go now get out u get nothing and even took the club back so my boyfriend stepped in and told him no he'll pay for the club and the manager so fine then hands him $7 back for my food. After that I went off and began to get loud and told him as a unsatisfied customer he's being totally unprofessional and didn't need to insult me like that......(yea it got a little ugly) and I was wrong for yelling but I'm a honest person and if I really ate half of the meal and if he would have shown me a little more respect and been a little less defensive than I would have been cool and calm but to tell me I didn't want my salad and I ate half the food was insulting. It's not even about the money but just the point of him making me feel like I'm lying and a theif. AlI I wanted to do was get a good meal from them as I have done so many times before. To think the one time in so many years of continued patronage that I have problem with my meal and to get reprimanded as if I did something wrong...WOW..I know people have their bad days and maybe he was having one or had quite a few people trying to get over on him that day who knows I'm a business owner myself and if one of my clients were to come to me dissatisfied with the quality of work I would try to find a solution to make them happy. I would NEVER attack them and tell them they're wrong and I'm right. They supply my paycheck! I've seen quite a few managers come and go over the yrs so hopefully he gets his crap together or finds a new job. Until then I'll be in the McDonald's drive thru....lol..

Casual good eats. Filet Oscar to sandwiches. Cajun to perfect crabcakes. Burgers to grilled octopus. Great chefs. Go even if just for the French onion soup. This restaurant also has a nice big bar as well, but is well situated away from dining area too. Love this place.
