I tricked myself into coming to Brix. While searching for something open after 10pm in the area (other than crappy chains) I noticed what I thought was "Brixx" a Southeast chain that serves food until 2am. Knowing the chain well I arrived and realized this wasn't the same place, but chose to give it a try, anyway. This Brix is a local bar that serves food late. There's a bar side with table tops and bar seating with many TVs and a restaurant side with tables/booths and a few TVs. Either way, you'll get average bar food coupled with fair service. For a bar type place there's nothing to complain about with the food. In fact, it's much better than places like Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings and Tilted Kilt. I struggled to choose between the pizza and burger, but went with the Black N Blue Burger and have no complaints. It tasted like a fresh, not frozen (although I could be wrong) hand made patty that was huge, cooked well and tasted great. Any of the burgers would suit you. I can't comment on anything else, however, simply because I didn't order or see it. Meanwhile, the bowl of Maryland crab soup was better than average and loaded with seasoning, giving even the broth solid flavor. For a local sports bar, this place is owrth a try.

I've been to this place twice now. Both times I had burgers (Cowboy and The one with BBQ pork) and the soup of the day. First off, the soups are GREAT! It's never a basic soup or even something I've heard of but it's always good. Now, those burgers.... my wife constantly tells me I'm a big mouth. However, my mouth isn't big enough to fit around these monsters! Giant thick burgers with generous toppings and a nice portion of waffle fries! It's some serious good eating. The service has always been anywhere from great to outstanding. They're quick to resolve problems and never leave an empty glass. I highly recommend this place for fans of high quality bar food. I've yet to attend a sporting event there but I'm pretty sure that'd be on point too!

Nice hole in the wall to visit during happy hour. I adore a good margarita. They have regular and frozen. I had the frozen with sugar. The prices are right and a good set of options to choose from on the happy hour menu. Everyone is friendly and there is two sides to the location. One side for the restaurant. The other side for the bar and 2/4-top tables. So you can sit at the bar and enjoy a good drink without being around a lot of noise. This location is in the shopping center with all Longhorn Steakhouse. Right next door to the avenue.

Best part of this place so far is the pizza. Doughy and plenty of cheese with a decent sauce. Also have tasted the seafood pizza. Be advised, it's a little (ok a lot) greasy with the scampi sauce on top, but that's ok. I'll be great to dip the crust it when it pools on the tray. That sounds gross, ask for it on the side. Our server was BEYOND perky, I'm talking we had to give awkward silences before she'd leave us alone. The thing I noticed was the burgers you have to pay for toppings, as in, a dollar for PICKLES. For bloody pickles, for crying out loud. Then when you get your mayo on the side, it's more mayo than any one person could possibly need on 6 burgers. We're having a food cost issue, I wager, well, I can tell you where to start! We came for super bowl and it wasn't overly crowded, but a decent turn out and lively enough to be fun without being obnoxious. I suppose I'd come back, though I'd like to see the menu fix the weirdness.

This place is really good! They are a bit expensive but it's worth it! They have really great appetizers and their Cajun Brixture is really great! The staff is very nice and attentive! Great place

Just the atmosphere of this place was sad, like the employees didn't want to be there, i figured i try this place out with a couple of friends from school, while we were on break. Treated us like we weren't worthy enough to be in their low standard restaurant, i mean it is rosedale. If they even knew if i work a D.C bar on weekends and know what good service is like, this place needs rethink their ways.

Absolutely terrible. Wings suck, crab pretzel with no old Bay, (are serious you operate in Maryland), requested a pit beef on wheat but it arrived on white. So when I said it wrong, I clearly didn't know what I ordered, so the bus boy, yes my waiter was a bus boy, checked to make sure what I said I ordered was correct. So now I am sitting here with a cold pit beef sandwich on wheat, whole slices of wheat and I am expected to pay for this. I will NEVER return here. I wish I could give negative stars

I came here for lunch on a chilly Monday. The bar had a few people having a bite and some convo with the bartender. After I scanned the menu I order a breakfast burger and glass of water. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The burger was cooked just the way I ordered it. (Medium Well). Food was good, the place was clean and the people were nice. I would come back again. Next time I'll try come back when it's a little more busy to see if the service is still the same.

Nice bar, cool atmosphere. Food prices a little high but not hateful. Good classic rock on the speakers. $5 Dogfishhead 90 minute. Can't beat that with a stick.

Service was on point. You can't beat $3 wine happy hour prices even if it's Barefoot. The steak quesadillas were fantastic and reasonably priced. Solid go-to for watching sports, having drinks, and getting some nibblies.

It was about happy-hour time on a Friday night when we got there, and it was pretty busy. It seems based on what the bartenders were saying that they weren't used to that much activity, but I would say they were handling it pretty well. Their attitudes remained upbeat and they were friendly/personable despite whatever stress they might have been feeling. There were limited draught beer options, but I was able to get my choice, so I was satisfied. Their specials were $2 domestics, $3 Pinnacles, and something else that escapes me at the moment. Food: I ordered the Black-n-blue burger with a side of almond rice pilaf, and he ordered steamed shrimp, extra seasoning, with no onions. The burger was pretty tasty, but I still received the fries (waffle fries, actually) instead of my rice. I let them know right away, and they immediately brought out a side dish of the rice. I tried a couple bites of the rice, but then set it aside because it was drowned in butter. Instead, I just stuck with the waffle fries on my plate...they were okay. They probably would have hit the spot if I had been in the mood for them. The shrimp -- as I was told-- was "different" than what he expected. It may have been steamed, but it was also served in a pool of some sort of sauce. We were there long enough for the crowd to die down (the O's were losing, so many people left), and we chatted with one of the bartenders and another woman seated next to us. Still, the atmosphere seemed decent, and there were other menu items that sounded tempting enough to try on a future visit. Guess we'll see how that goes if/when we go back. :-)

This place is oddly designed. You walk in and have to wander around to find the hostess station. We were seated quickly but didn't see a server for a while. We finally placed our order and our entrees came out before our appetizer. I had the spicy steak panini. The ghost pepper cheese sneaks up on you. The fries weren't that great, undercooked. My wife had wings and they were quite good. Overall the food isn't bad. The service isn't great. It's just an OK place.

I stopped in to get away from traffic and actually had a good time! The specials from 3-7 are more than fair and the bartender Edgar is pretty cool! Throw in a fun bar manager named Sarah and I'm most definitely going back. Order the mango chipotle wings with the sauce on the side or have the ass kickin loaded crab & shrimp fries! It's a fun place with tv's strategically placed for enjoyable game time viewing.

It is very obvious that this place is new and still Ironing out a few kinks. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Totally great. pizza. Avoid the"pit beef". Should have known better. The place is called Brix... indicating that they have a brick oven, not an open charcoal pit. I am quite sure that in a few months it will be a little more cohesive. I would definitely recommend but keep in mind the place is new.

My go to bar. The pizza is amazing and so are the mussels. The staff has changed a little bit since it opened and all for the better. The bartenders are the best. Sara, Raven, Michelle, and Sarah. They're all awesome. Go there! End of story.

Great service, excellent condition, good beers in tap and bottles. Had the Pitt beef and was very happy with it. Sarah the bar tender was excellent.

We left more than half our food without requesting a box. Enough said. This is my first and last visit here. Wings are decent, but the salad, wrap, and panini were bland and the off brand condiments were gross.

We visited on a Saturday evening as a party of 18, newcomers all. One server handled the orders for drinks, appetizers and entrees. She split checks with 9 couples and performed flawlessly. Nice personality too. Thanks, Candace. The food was good, original takes on local favorites. We were all quite impressed. Nice beer sections.

Great place to watch any sports game. Laid back atmosphere and the food is much better than plain pub grub.

The food was so so. Atmosphere was kinda cheesy and basic Rosedale type place. Maybe stop in if you want a drink or just want use the restrooms.

This place need a Kitchen nightmare make over and is brand new. The service was awful and the food was sub-par - if you do anything just keep driving or stop short at Longhorn you'll have a much better meal.

After an ok experience the first time, we decided to give Brix a second chance because the selection of the menu looks good with other things I would like to try. The first time I had a few issues with my own food ( Maryland crab was not good too sweet and no old bay seasoning and "pit beef" that was nothing more then a fatty piece of roast beef cut into chunks), but our appetizers were good and my husband's Ceasar salad had a good taste and burger looked good. So this visit we returned to find a new menu and the same server who previously served us and was great. Steak nachos were nothing more then steak-ummm meat and a little bit of salsa and cheese dropped on stale tortilla chips and southwest egg rolls were way overcooked. Still no problem, until we asked for a change then overheard her talking about us to the kitchen staff. We then confronted her and she didn't even acknowledge there was an issue ( eventhough we were her only table and the only diners in the place) She conveniently never returned to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything else. As we were leaving we were stopped by the manager who promised to make it up to us at our next visit.... im sure we will not return.

The pizza was pretty good! The nighttime bartender made a pretty rude comment to my husband. If it werent for that, we might have gone back. Good draft beer selection.

Pizza is very overrated food and service was terrible just hands down very bad bar a restaurant if you want a drink be prepared to wait forever doesn't seem like they care to much what you think just hurry up and wait

Ate here for the first time. Service was quick. We had a friendly waitress name Brianna. I got a burger wife got a Philly cheesesteak. Both were good. Sub had lots of meat. Burger was freshly made not prepackaged. They have seasoned waffle fries that are pretty tasty. Drink prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place.
