This has some of the best Gyro's around like there straight from Fulton ave in downtown Brooklyn NY. The prices are great ..but there is one very severe problem ... its very hoodish if you know what i mean ... DO NOT GO HERE AFTER DARK unless your licensed to carry a firearm. There is very little space in here to stand with the 5 foot high counters where some ppl have to stand on their tip toes to order. There are ppl out there sellign everything from bootleg dvd's to the latest style of THC happiness

My update is because i want to express the awesomeness of this place. I wasn't aware they were open until 3am-4am each day. I had a meal that i forgot about and burned in the oven. It was like 11pm. Hmmm, what was open? For the hell of it, i called Greek Village. Sure enough, busy signal x 3 because they were so busy. It finally went through and they said how late they were open. Greek salad with extra anchovies and spanakopita please. I get there. 10 workers behind the counter and the place is mobbed. This is like 12MN by now. There is a mobile car wash guy washing cars in the parking lot. There is a guy from Tashes Ankh, this killer Jamaican place about 6 stores to the left playing his CD's on the sidewalk. My Greek salad looks like 6 guys stood on it to close it it's so packed full and tastes as good as ever. My spanakopita is flaky and warm and buttery and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I can't rate this place high enough. And like i said, it has been there as long as i can remember, and packed busy all the time I love this place

Location Your pluses include it's hard-to-miss location inside of a shopping center at a major intersection (Liberty Road and Milford Mill Road) and free parking in a parking lot. However, when you spend 15 minutes driving down Liberty Road from the Beltway to get there...and it's only 3 lights away...it's a BIG negative. Also, let's be real: Windsor Mill is not as attractive an area as White Marsh or Fells Point...but sometimes one must travel to a "less than desirable" area to get "highly desirable" food :-) Atmosphere When you walk in, you can't help but to frown your face up at the lack of appealing décor. Fine dining this is not. A comfortable waiting area it is without. Service You walk in, you tell them what you want, they cook it, and when it's done, they call out your name. Very simple. Food So, after I talked about the traffic you are bound to face on Liberty Road, the lack of interior decorating, and the standard carry-out service, what's the highlight of Greek Village? THE FOOD! Everything and anything you could think of at a carryout are on this menu! It's all made to order and is done so very quickly. Want a pizza? You can watch them sauce it, cheese it, and add all your toppings in front of you before sliding it in the broiler. Want a steak and cheese? Watch them cook the beef to tender perfection. My favorite: a small Greek salad and a side order of fried mushrooms. First, the salad doesn't skimp on the good part (the feta cheese) and their Greek dressing is the best!!!! The fried mushrooms are always fried just right; not too soft and mushy, but not overcooked and burned. Make sure your eyes aren't bigger than your stomach here; portions are large and prices are small, so you're getting your money worth. Open until at least 2am each night, this is my new "4th Meal" spot. BE FOREWARN: They are cash only, but they do have a ATM that charges a $2.25 (or it might be $2.50, I can't remember) surcharge fee.

The only reason anyone could give this place less than 5 stars is for the neighborhood. I've definitely felt unsafe here before late at night but that was only once when I was by myself. And even then... I was fine. The food is amazing. It is hands down the biggest and best cheese steak I've been able to find in Baltimore. Other places always give you less food for more money. Also, the people who take the orders over the phone know my fiance by name. He used to go here constantly when he was in high school so it is still tradition to use his best friend's last name when we place our order for pickup. We always get half-cheese steaks, always with extra cheese. We also get the fries or occasionally the fried mushrooms. All of the food is always delicious and always piping hot. Our other friends have gotten other stuff, chicken cheese steaks, gyros, and I think even a pizza cheese steak. Never had any complaints from anyone about the food. It is always great. We usually give them about 25 minutes after calling an order in before we think it'll be ready. The place is cash only and there isn't much standing/waiting room so you really want to try and time it as best you can. Don't let this place's exterior or neighborhood scare you away. You will not be disappointed.

I had a serious craving for a sub so decided to go to the Greek Village Carryout. i live in the area but haven't been back for a minute so stopped in on my way home from work. It's a easy spot to find located in a shopping center on Liberty Road. i have seen comments about it being in a rough area but I don't feel that is the case. I have never felt unsafe, maybe its because I grew up around there They have late hours which is a plus for people who get late night cravings. Fine dining this is definitely not, there isn't even a place to sit inside but its called a carry out for a reason. My food was ok. I ordered a whole cheese steak and a side order of onion rings. My cheese steak was just so so. Its a huge amount for the price but not very flavorful. The cheese wasn't melted on it so I had to put it in the toaster oven when I got home. The onion rings were the highlight of this meal. Man they give you a heaping mound of them. I couldn't even finish off my order so I still had half left over for my lunch the next day. They still taste good reheated. The seasoning was on point and they taste like they are beer battered. Surprisingly they weren't too greasy. Over all the place is alright and convenient but far from the best I have had. Probably will be abck again if i am feeling too lazy to drive anywhere else.

Greek Village was just ok. I've had better cheesesteaks, but theirs weren't terrible. As mentioned elsewhere though, it's cash only, and the ATM in the back is old and slow. We ordered a whole cheesesteak and a whole chicken cheesesteak, with some fries and onion rings. The prices were reasonable, and the onion rings were the highlight for me. The cheesesteaks are enormous, but by the time we got home (5-10 min), the break was soggy-- not just damp, but like mushy. The steak wasn't bad, but could've used a little more seasoning, and was a touch dry. The chicken cheesesteak was much the same. The fries weren't bad, but they weren't amazing either. The onion rings, though, were delicious. They were battered instead of breaded and cooked perfectly. I probably could've just eaten those. Overally, Greek Village wasn't bad, but it was amazing either. We live closer to other places, so I wouldn't go out of my way to order from them again, but it wasn't a terrible experience. That shopping center, though, is a zoo always.

    - The Food Is Really Good - The staff were too concerned about the politics of there personal lives so I had to watch 4 costumers all of whom placed orders after I did leave with there meals before me while -

More or less my favorite value gyro in MD. They have an unreasonably large gyro for a very low price. Its super greasy and flavors the heated pita just right. Its in a dicey location so if you aren't comfortable with being in an urban setting call your order ahead. Me, I usually walk to the nearby Jamaican restaurant to enjoy a ginger beer and patty while I am waiting.

The best cheesesteaks in B'more! I love this place. I don't understand why everyone on here has something negative to say about the neighborhood. It's not that bad! It's certainly not the hood. It's located in Baltimore County...a few miles from Owings Mills. A middle class neighborhood borders the shopping center. Ok...I've been asked if I want to buy some DVDs or CDs while picking up my food....and? That makes it the hood? I've been asked if I want to buy far worse things in "better" neighborhoods. Maybe you guys need to check out a real hood. Great food.....don't be scared! ; )

My preference is for the chicken cheesesteak over regular. The meat could stand a little more juice. The onions really add a moist punch to the sandwich. I believe they add paprika to the onions as well. They also have good munchie pizza for a late night hit. From the looks of the place it definitely looks like a place that could be on the show diners, drive ins and DIVES though.

Food is always good but it's the 21st century why haven't they gotten a credit card machine yet I felt like I was the only person that didn't know they where cash only. On top of that they didn't say anything until I was ready to pay for my food. If you are a cash only restaurant you need to get some signs on the door saying cash only.
