Think of this place as a Greek-style fast food restaurant. Is the food going to compete favorably to a nice, sit down Greek restaurant? No. Will "foodies" rave about the amazing food? No. But... If you have the proper expectations, this is a very good place to eat a healthier lunch or dinner in a rush or on-the-go. The greek salad is fresh and I love their simple salad dressing. The hummus and warm pita bread is tasty and served topped with olive oil, paprika and kalmata olives. Nice touch. The kabobs are made fresh - like everything else. Service is quick and friendly. It's great spot for a quick meal and much healthier than traditional fast food.

Great service! Rosy was very helpful, love this place. I ordered my new favorite sandwich, the gruben. And was recommended to try the grilled potato salad. It was delicious! Fast service & everything tasted perfect.

I was not prepared to blow almost $60 here, I guess I got a little sticker shock when the cashier rung us up. Thankfully he gave us 3 free beverages, which took away a bit of the sting. My husband really liked his steak stack sandwich. The meat was moist and flavorful, and plentiful. My daughter loved her chicken pita pizza. It was laden with meat and cheese- they didn't skimp on it and the pita was great. The pizza came with a very nice sized fresh greek salad, which I should have just eaten as my meal. The hummus was fine, nothing special, but the warm pita bread is what saved it. I got the pimento cheese sandwich. It was GROSS. Too much cheese, the bread was soaked in butter/grease, not enough tomato, it was just almost inedible. Needed much thicker bread, or much less cheese. It was a salty, smooshy, mess. So, all in all, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Don't expect it to be a cheap meal though!

5 stars for excellent customer service. I told the cashier, Colleen, about my (many) dietary restrictions and she and the kitchen staff took the time to go through the menu with me and make modifications. I ended up with a turkey mushroom sandwich that was quite tasty.

I'm fond of this restaurant because of my Job. Zoe's usually would come to bring us lunch. The food here is mmmmm mmmm good! I usually get the chicken kabob special which comes with rice, salad, and chicken kabobs! It's so healthy and I just love the salad! The inside of the restaurant is very colorful. However, a lot of times when I look for somewhere to sit,the tables can be kind of dirty. The staff is awesome! They are very polite and attentive. The pricing is a little bit expensive. I purchased a meal for myself and it costed around $11.00-12.00. The location is great for everyone all ages! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

Absolutely LOVE Zoe's Kitchen. He chicken roll ups are amazing. Everything on the menu is extremely fresh.

What a great addition to the restaurant selection in the Potomac area. This is a fresh and healthier option for people looking to change bad habits. The chicken is moist and very flavorful. The braised white beans are to die for and the spinach roll ups are a must try. They offer catering as well as family for four feasts which include 8 kabobs, rice pilaf, Greek salad and pita bread that range from $26.95-$33.95. Some other of my favorite items include: Hummus & Salads Hummus and Salad plate~$6.95 Classic Sandwiches Chicken Salad w/ side~$7.19 Pita Sandwiches Greek Chicken Pita w/ side~$7.39 Zoes Club Pita w/ side~$7.39 Entrees Spinach & Chicken Roll-Ups w/ side~$8.45 Chicken Kabob w/ Greek salad and 1 side~$8.95 Grilled Chicken Dinner w/ 2 sides~$8.95 Ive never had any shrimp dishes, mainly because the chicken is too good to pass up. They look good but the shrimp seem a little too small skimpy.

I really liked Zoe's Kitchen. The food is well done for the price. The salads and sandwiches were good. The lime aid and white beans were the standouts for me. The kids really enjoyed their meals also. The service was great (Thanks Emily). Zoe's is a nice option that pleases everybody and doesn't break the bank.

I finally ventured out to this little spot tonight with a couple of friends and could not wait to dig my face into a big bowl of hummus. I am a bit hummus obsessed but still quite picky at the same time. I read on yelp lots of mixed reviews so I came in with zero expectations. The review.. I tried the Greek Chicken Pita. It comes with chicken breast stuffed in a pita, topped with lettuce, tomato, feta and caramelized onion..I... die! It was as good as the description sounded on the menu if not better. It was huge too and every bite was perfect. It came with a side and I chose the pasta salad which was ok, not anything special. I also shared hummus with pita bread with the table and the pitas were warm and soft and the hummus was full of flavor. It gets 5 stars all by itself. My roommate enjoyed her Greek salad and my other friend said her wraps were ok (hence the 4 stars). They told me that it is, however, Pertinent that I rave about the potato salad. The liked it so much, she bought a pint to go, immediately. Next time I go, and there will be a next time, I will definitely try that. Finally, my friend have the audacity to purchase this big as chocolate chunk cookie the size of my face! I tried a bit of it and it was delish.. i had to turn away or else..... Anyway! Try this place out. Develop your own opinion. It is well worth it.

I come here for the orzo tabouli salad. Super fresh and flavorful. One time I switched it up and got the turkey sandwich, which was disappointingly boring and greasy. Stick to fresh Greek options! Nice option to have in the neighborhood, although most weeknights it's pretty quiet inside.

I didn't have a great Zoe's kitchen experience a while back but my wife convinced me to give it another try (thank God for her or I would be much more boring than I even am now.) Unfortunately Zoe's disappointed even more. Last time I saw Zoe's as boring and mediocre; and this time the menu and quality was just as uninspired as I remembered. But they also failed to live up to any reasonable expectation of customer service. Our food came out one entree at a time 10 minutes apart. What made it worse was the kids meal came out - never. The food runner was the best thing about the place. He was very gracious and tried to help as much as possible but our kids meal never came. They offered to compensate us for the meal and gave us a cookie. They knew we were waiting. But still no meal. To be fair I think one staffer said we'd get a refund while we wait for our food but maybe that got mis-communicated somewhere. Will not be returning for a while.

Fresh, tasty and well portioned food. I recently ordered the spinach roll with chicken and a bowl of soup. I actually had one leftover roll because I was comfortably full. It wasn't at all greasy or felt like fast food. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Tried carryout today. I like that this place is flexible and that they have a vegetarian-friendly menu. On the phone, I told her I had a $5 off coupon for Zoes at another location. I didn't think I'd be able to use it, but she said YES. I also like the flexibility of the menu. They let me switch two of the sides that came with my order of veggie kabobs. One of the sides I chose was the roasted vegetables, which were similar to what was on the kabob (Duh--bad decision on my part). The roasted veggies were okay. But the veggie kabobs and the baby red potatoes (NOT a salad) were both great. Nothing was overly salty or overcooked.

Inside, Zoe's Kitchen has a fast food ambience but the food is individually prepared. The cuisine--perhaps too fancy a word considering the simplicity of its style--is Mediterranean, leaning toward Greek. Everything is fresh and healthy. Denizens of nearby offices call ahead for takeout--and catering is also on offer. I wouldn't recommend it as a destination restaurant but if you're nearby it's well worth a try.

  • Priscilla Y.

I work at one of the offices above Zoes so I have been here a couple of times. The restaurant is clean and the food is pretty fresh and healthy. I do not care for the sandwiches here because it is nothing special, and you can get better sandwiches elsewhere. Their other items like the steak and chicken kabob entrees are what you should order when you come here. The chicken kabob comes with two skewers of chicken and veggies, rice pilaf, a side of greek salad, and pita bread. The steak kabob is pretty much the same, but instead of the rice pilaf, you get roasted potatoes. They are both a decent sized portion, and the meats are not overly dry. I also like their tomato bisque. It is creamy, not too sour, and has the right amount of mozzarella cheese. Comes with pita bread. I have had Yaya's homemade chocolate a few times. It is not very good. You can probably get a better slice of cake at Harris Teeter. Their chocolate chunk cookies, on the other hand, are pretty good. They mark the date it is made so you know that its freshly baked. It is $2 for each cookie, but I guess that is normal price. The place can seem pricey for certain items like sandwiches, but what do you expect? It's in Potomac.

2nd try....my first impression was reinforced. The sides are great! They are prepared with care and as expected. In addition to the notes in my last review (below) I tried the tomato soup which was hot and flavorful, the hummus which was creamy and just perfect, and the orzo salad which was very good, but again, the meat was dry. I got the orzo salad with shrimp skewers as suggested by the manager. There seems to be great attention to detail on the sides and the guy on the grill is out on his own and just cooking everything plain and dry. My shrimp lacked flavor and was charred dry. Char is okay, that can add flavor, but these were hard dry little lumps with no apparent marinade or flavoring brushed on to them. Seriously, everything else was great... Only been twice, and I'll definitely try for a third. The folks working there are nice and the menu just looks too good to pass up after only 2 dry lunches.

The steak kabobs are really good, along with the potatoes they come with. The hummus is really good as well. The bread is soft and fresh. Will definitely return!!

Walk into the brightly colored modern Zoe's Kitchen, and you might be expecting a wide variety of overpriced caprece sandwiches and bubble tea. Or you might be thinking, "oh crap, I'm trapped inside a mother's day gift-wrap gallery". What you don't expect is homespun comfort food that is well seasoned and affordable. I went to Zoe's Kitchen on the recommendation of Brian Patterson, who recently wrote an article in the Rockville Gazette entitled "Fresh, simple, often tasty café fare at Zoe's Kitchen". Well, now it's my turn to put in its 2 cents and spoons. I decided to order the "Gruben", which Zoe's menu marks as a house favorite. Oh, its goood. Deliciously toasted and buttered grilled-cheese-like bread is filled with deli turkey, gooey Swiss cheese, a feta slaw, and spicy mustard. The grilled vegetables that the Gazette calls "nothing too tasty" found a warm space in this critic's stomach. I have to admit, a side of grilled vegetables is not typically my go-to for an accoutrement to my sandwich, mainly because they're grilled vegetables, but the vegetables I was served were worth forgoing the extra calories. It was like deciding to take a bike to work that day and finding out the entire ride is downhill. I suspect that they marinate their vegetables in Greek dressing before grilling them, but that's only a suspicion. If they don't coat them in some marinade, that is some magical Narnian grill they put those veggies on. I also got a chance to taste the chicken orzo soup and the tomato bisque. The Gazette describes the orzo soup as "Chunks of chicken, diced vegetables, and rib-sticking orzo pasta [with a] rich and well-seasoned broth." (Patterson). I'll give you everything but rib-sticking Mr. Patterson. I'm not sure how orzo can even be rib-sticking, unless it was wrapped in bacon then deep-fried. I could eat a Gallon of orzo for lunch and follow it up with binge eating at an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. I will give you that this is a solid soup, but what you downplay is the tomato bisque. It's like riding a flavor elevator that hits every floor. It's like the grand finale to a fireworks display in your mouth. It's like one soup to rule them all. Sauron would be proud. Zoe's is a favorite among families and business professionals in the area. Be careful about sitting too close to the door, as it sometimes blows open bringing gale force winds into the dining room. The menu above the cashier is so large that you could probably make your order from route 270, and the warm hospitable manager is focused on customer service and food quality. Few things to avoid on the menu are the potato salad which is poorly assembled and lacks mayo (on purpose), and the pasta salad which contained overcooked pasta and a heaping feed trough of black pepper. One star that stole the show was the braised white beans. Rosemary and what seems to be sage meld into perfectly cooked white beans. My fellow diner described eating the beans like "diving into my grandmothers stuffing at thanksgiving." I equate it to...... eating really good braised white beans, warm rib-sticking white beans. With that said, Zoe's Kitchen receives full endorsement for being reasonably priced, fresh, well executed café fare. To boot, you'll be waited on hand and foot (aside from the ordering process) and the blind can easily read the overhead menu...from Africa. And with that Zoe's Kitchen, you've just been spooned.

Horrible experience. Trash on the floor in clear view of the cashier, but not surprising that he didn't see it since he didn't even look up from his phone when we ordered. Asked for the hummus and pita to eat first, he said yes, but it came out with the dinner. The pita was cold, there were only a few forks left in the silverware bins, no knives or spoons. Salad was not fresh, rest of food was ok. This was a regular stop for us but current management obviously doesn't care. Never again.

Good menu but the execution is kinda weird. I got the orzo salad with chicken... The menu says it has baby spinach but I couldn't see any in my salad. I also asked for dressing on the side... The cashier said that wasn't possible. When she asked someone else for help, that person said the salad was already dressed. What does that mean -- the greens are already dressed? The orzo? The chicken? The lady said she could put the extra dressing they use on the side. So, I got my salad "undressed" with some on the side... Between the orzo and grilled chicken, I can't imagine more lemony dressing in this salad. Anyway, for a fast food soup/salad/sandwich place, Zoe's is a good choice. I might just choose another salad next time... And assume no spinach will be involved.

I ate lunch here on March 14, 2015 and sent Zoe's customer service an email the very same day. No response. My message to them... Disappointing meal today! The chicken kabobs were served without the pita bread and there were no onions on the skewers. The Greek salad with the shrimp kabobs had no olives, green peppers, peppercini, or cucumbers. And the worst part was no wine was available!! Would hope for a more predictable dining experience.

Yuuuuum I love going here post-workout (one minute from Life Time) because it's quick (gotta get that protein in within half an hour of your workout!) and healthy and also super tasty! And very very reasonably priced. First off, their Greek salad is scrumptious, I guess just because of their housemade dressing. I like getting it as a side dish, or I get the Tossed Greek, which comes with chicken, and pasta in addition to the veggies already in a regular Greek salad. This is a HUGE portion and is definitely not a side dish. Speaking of portions, all of their portions are fairly large; I heard someone complain about portion once and I was actually shocked. Their sandwiches are good but average in my opinion (chicken salad, tuna salad), but I like that they all come with a side because I think their sides are exceptional. The steak stack is an exceptional sandwich though, it has steak, portobello mushroom, caramelized, onions, feta, mozzarella, and tomato. The sides that stand out to me are the braised white beans and rice pilaf and marinated slaw. They are all light and healthy tasting (the slaw doesn't use mayonnaise) and delectable. As for entrees, the roll ups are yummy--my mom's favorite is the spinach roll ups, but the steak one is really good too, as are the their kabobs (again, hugee portions). Lastly, their hummus is yummy and I love getting a small order with pita, and they have really really amazing cookies that I crave all the time. Chocolate chunk and oatmeal raisin and they're so so good! A+!

I usually just head straight toward founding farmers, but my co workers suggested Zoe. I love the salads here. Very flavorful. I also had the chicken kabobs and they were tasty too!! Can't forget about the homemade limeade. ..yuuum

  • Jason L.

Got the steak stack with rice. This couldn't have been any further from my expectations than it was. Everything was soggy and the food was terribly bland. For $8, this meal should have been at least mildly satisfying. The only good part of my experience was the service was quick and friendly. The food was not very good.

  • Nikki G.

Too expensive! We use to get the kabob dinner for 4 - it was a great deal... chicken kabobs over rice and a large Greek salad. Now price is increased, no rice, and if you want salad it costs extra! Sheesh. Just too pricey for the quantity and quality :(

Awesome place, very clean, contemporary and different. Chicken kabob was just amazing, 10/10. I'm not a review person, but I felt like they deserved it.

Since relocating to the Rock for a new gig, I have become unhealthily obsessed with Zoe's Kitchen. In fact, I'm eating their shrimp kabob entree (sub the rice out for hummus, of course) as I type this. I mean, how can you go wrong? EVERYONE likes kabobs, right?? Throw in some hummus and I am a happy lady (I should disclose that people say I should have a hummus IV hooked up to my arm because I eat so much of it). So far, I have sampled their shrimp, chicken and meat kabobs. All have great flavor and are cooked very well. Not dry or underdone--just right. Their salads are nothing to sneeze at--many of them come with potatoes hidden in the bottom which is a fun surprise. I'm currently eating their classic greek salad with greens, pepper, onion, tomato and feta. Simple and delicious. Another reason for my Zoe's obsession is that they're into healthy eating. All the nutritional facts are listed on their website, and for people like me who have a wedding dress to squeeze into soon, I'm all for picking their more healthful options. None of them lack on flavor. And of course, I have to talk about the hummus. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hummus. Like I said, I eat a lot of it. Zoe's is really delicious. Super smooth and flavorful and accompanied with fluffy pita bread. Yum.

Go here often for lunch, dinner, and take out. Their hummus is delicious and you can buy it in tubs. Have tried many things on their menu and typically go back to the tuna sandwich, white beans, and the orzo chicken.

Service is always excellent here, especially for an order first casual restaurant. One time I came here and waited for a group of friends, and the cashier yelled out from the front that he could grab us all some waters while we stood. We declined, but he was helpful and asked us to let him know if we needed anything. I also spied on another waiter going to a table of two old ladies, giving them containers for their leftovers--which they did not ask for. He just thought it'd be a nice gesture. Another came to our table while we were eating, making sure we all enjoyed the food. And, you don't have to clear off your own table. Awesome! Unfortunately, their food doesn't hit the mark. In terms of quality, it all seems good, but it is prepared dry and mostly bland. It's stuff that you could make at home. Turkey sandwich is OK, potato salad is largely chunked and lacking salt, and kabobs are dry. Only appetizing items were their steak wraps (one of their more unhealthy options) and tomato basil soup. I also noticed their salads were more calories than their regular sandwiches. With more tasty food, this would be a really great great place to get a quick bite! If you are coming with a larger group (4+), it may be harder to get a table during lunch hour. Perfect for two's, though.

Loved the food here! Everything was flavorful and delicious. I loved that they had healthy options like roasted vegetables. Staff was friendly and attentive. We were there on a Sunday, and they are open from 11-9, while Yelp said they were closed. Hopefully the error on Yelp regarding Sunday hours will be fixed soon. We will definitely return!

I came here with a few friends and the place was pretty empty. Now I understand why... The food is sub-par and I would have rather gone to a Cosi. One thing I did like, though, were the drawings on the walls made by elementary children. That's about it. I don't even remember what I ordered, it was that bad. So, note: If you're ever in that area, the 30+min wait for Founding Farmers is worth it.

  • Andrew B.

This is one of my go-to places whenever I'm indecisive about where to eat. I've yet to be disappointed and don't plan on it. Their prices do smack you in the face once you complete your order, but I think that's just because it's easy to get carried away with all the good options on their menu. I stick with the classic chicken kabob platter. It has constantly hit the spot and always tastes fresh. They recently updated their menus to introduce a few more tasteful items. I highly recommend this gem if you're looking for something fresh and can't decide where to go. Also, just wait till you taste their vinaigrette!

    (4)
  • Stacey R.

Should've taken the hint when we were the only ones there. Nothing to write home about. For the same price, you can have a similar menu and experience at Panera Bread and the food will be much better! Skip this one!

  • Deborah N.

Way better than I thought it was going to be, given some reviews I read. Not a huge fan of the hummos but the soup was delicious. One thing that would improve a lot of the menu items - hand chop. They seem to be a fan of the food processor here. Hence the smooooooooooooooth chicken salad, which, we all know is meant to be chunky!

  • Mike M.

Thrilled to see Zoe's open here. Big fan of the place from when I lived in Alabama. You walk in the one here and it's like you've been beamed back there. The food is fantastic. My favorite is the salad sampler. Pick different ones every time, you can't go wrong. You can get a glass of wine or a beer at the Potomac location. I don't really remember if they had booze at other stores and frankly, it doesn't really seem to fit in with the atmosphere of this location. I'm not against it, it just seems odd. I mean, hey, they hand you a cup and you get your own fountain drink. Most of their menu items better lend themselves to a glass of iced tea or lemonade or something like that. If you're looking for a drink there's a very nice wine bar near by. I do agree with the other reviewer regarding the seating. The booths are rather uncomfortable.

  • Emma C.

I always eat here when I visit my dad, and I have never had a bad experience here. The employees are always friendly and the wait for food never exceeds to impatience. I'd recommend any of the sandwiches, the steak roll-ups, and the greek salad. Not to mention the delicious hummus and pita. Good place for families. Nothing fancy, just affordable.

    (5)
  • Ryan B.

Really liked the fresh atmosphere when I stopped in, and the food came out relatively quick. Tastes fresh, and I loved the sides. Rice pilaf was my favorite. If I'm ever working in the area near there, I tend to make Zoe's my lunch stop.

While I feel like getting a little crazy and giving Zoe's five stars, I'll reign myself in. Why, you ask? I ended up at the soft opening by mistake, which I have to admit is as good as it gets when it comes to surprizes! The service was perfectly orchestrated, my meal was "gratis", and I have no plans to part with my reuseable Zoe cup. So, the question still looms... why not the fifth star? Well, I have to admit that while the food was great, generous servings, and an unexpected twist of potatoes hidden under my greek salad, I couldn't really get a feel for the joint. I'm very pleased to find a healthy alternative that won't break the bank, and love the idea of take-out for four, but I need to re-visit this place once the hooplah is over. I'm definitely a fan and excited to re-visit this franchise once they settle in. Congrats to Zoe's on opening this local! I'll definitely be back.

I went here for the first time with my son and really enjoyed it! The food is reasonably priced, tastes good, and is healthy. My 6 year old son enjoyed the Chicken kabobs. I got a Greek salad, and I appreciated that they put the salad dressing on the table so you could decide for yourself how much dressing to use. I also appreciate that the restaurant is very kid friendly - definitely important to me!

  • Jeff W.

What can I say? Have been here several times now and expect more. First off the person taking our order was on the phone at the same time he was trying to help me. Second, we wanted one of the booths, since the chairs are extremely uncomfortable (they remind me of elementary school). The table was dirty and we asked one of the staff to clean it off. All they did was remove the dirty plates. We ended up getting some napkins and cleaned it ourselves. The grilled chicken and pita was disappointing. Very little chicken and the slaw was tasteless. As for the chicken kabobs dinner, it would have been nice if they cooked the chicken before putting it on the plate. If you are really hungry go to the Harris Teeter and get something from the prepared foods counter.

  • Paul A.

The reason for the two star rating that they can hopefully improve upon in the future: -I ordered the chicken kebab (came with rice, greek salad and a pita). The chicken was dry and tasteless, had to actually add salt/pepper just to give it some flavor -The rice was overcooked and mooshy -The table side dressing was just okay -The limeade was too sweet -Overall appearance of the restaurant was dirty, tables/floors weren't clean For a restaurant in a somewhat upscale neighborhood, you'd think it'd be better, I would go to Athens Grill in Montgomery Village to get your greek fix on!

  • Sarah M.

I think it's safe to say I'm pretty obsessed with this place. My favorite is their chicken salad and fruit platter. The fruit is always fresh and the chicken salad is probably the best I've ever had. Of course, what really tops it all off is their fantastic greek dressing. I bought a bottle last time I was there to put on my salads at home. They also have really great sweet tea. Cool place, affordable, casual and healthy fast food!

This place always caught my eye when I would pass by it from I270 S. So I decided to check it out. When I went there, I was warmly greeted by staff. I would say the fare is more like an upscale version of Panera. They got paninis, salads, sandwiches and dinner entrees. I ordered the spinach roll ups and a Greek Salad. Food is cooked to order but you dont wait that long like other places.

The Greuben Sandwich is killer. Roasted vegetables as a side ditto. Very friendly staff! Easy to get in and out. Healthy options. Good prices. Been there several times and it's always consistent.

I swung by on my way home from work for take-out and was impressed. It's ver healthy, good food. I got the chicken pizza and one other dish--I thought it was kind of pricey for what it was at the time--but I'd go back,

I'm a big fan of Zoe's so far ... everything we've tried (the beans! the veges! the turkey grill! the soups! the tuna!) were very, very fresh and good ... the only thing I haven't been gaga over is the kabobs ... Wish there were more around here ... it makes Panera seem like a waste.

Park Potomac...the new address to be! Elevation Burger is there. The fantastic Harris Teeter is there and some fabu new apartments are there. Zoe's is a decent little place to eat. The menu is ecclectic and there are plenty of choices. I am not a huge fan of ordering off the big menu, paying, getting your drink from the fountain soda machine and sittin' down to wait for someone to bring it to me, but whatever. I had the mayonnaise free tuna in a pita and it was good. I also had the chicken and orzo soup that was great! It was good for a cold night. I crave it now it was that good. Think about this place as a fast-food joint and stick to the menu. Do not really try to make special demands on them. They are kids cooking and not chefs. The food is good, don't mess with it!

NITTY GRITTY: Zoe's Kitchen is situated in Park Potomac, which is meant to be on the upscale side. It is nestled behind luxury condos and contained among a shopping center also housing Elevation burger, a 24-hour Harris Teeter and a clothing boutique. I compare this area to a developing Fairfax Corner. I had just moved up to the Potomac/Rockville area and decided to try the local restaurants. Because it's so close, Zoe's Kitchen made it to the top of my list. I had also read and heard good things about it--all the more reason to go. The chicken kabob was served a bit cold, lacked flavor and was overcooked/dry. The tomatoes on the kabob were somewhat soggy and the vegetables were still quite raw. Overall, everything about the kabob lacked a good char flavor. The braised white beans seemed one note. It was okay, but was definitely missing something--perhaps a drop of lemon juice for some acidity? It definitely tasted better when eaten with a small piece of pita than as-is. The spinach roll-ups were a step up from the beans, but would have benefited from a bit more cheese. Out of all the dishes, I enjoyed this one the most. LONG & SHORT: After eating a number of things off of the menu, I was disappointed to say the least. I love Mediterranean food and felt that the quality of Zoe's Kitchen was sub-par. I may consider going back, but only to hold me over until I can get better tasting Mediterranean food.

This was my first time at Zoes kitchen and it was delicious! I got the steak kabobs which included two kabobs, potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu.

Seems to me like Park Potomac is shaping up to be a great little area... Elevation Burger, the new Brooklyn Deli, Lifetime Fitness, Zoe's Kitchen, and a I know a couple of other places are in the works. I stopped by Zoe's Kitchen last night on my way home from work to grab some carryout. I've heard some mixed things about this place so I figured I'd try it out for myself. The decor on the inside is pleasant; clean, bright, and relatively well laid out. I ordered the chicken kabobs and overall I was pretty pleased with what I got for $9 and change. Two kabob skewers, filled with moist, well seasoned chicken, tomatoes and peppers, really tasty brown rice, and a mediocre "greek" salad with uninspiring vinaigrette. It also came with some pita that was rather meh. Would I go back? Sure. It's close to where I live and pretty good... but I'm not running out the door to eat there.

Just ate my meal and no food coma?? I am going to go as far to say that I think I just had a nutritous take out experience (gasp). I got the Chicken Pita with carmlized onions. yum-o. I also never usually never order beverages with my meals because I think its wasted calories, but I had a hunch this place offered a delcious iced tea and I was right! I got unsweetend Green Tea w/ Hibscus with a splash of Sweet Tea. YUMM!! I am so happy my friend recommended this to me. I hope to see more locations soon!

The chicken kabobs here are fantastic. They were seasoned well and not overcooked. The rice was also quite good and not bland. Very happy to be able to pick up food this tasty and for this cheap on the way home from work. Inside is pretty neat and the raised chairs were pretty comfortable. Not as tall as bar chairs, but also not too low to the ground either. Would recommend people to go eat here.

Ordered some food for carryout for me and my wife. Had never had food from Zoe's before. Thought I'd give it a try. The Greek marinara chicken, or whatever it was called, was bland and boring -- and rather pointless. The white beans were OK, but overcooked and mushy, and rather monodimensional -- too much rosemary and seemingly no other seasonings. The humus was bland and boring -- and, worse, came with only a few small pieces of something that purportedly was pita bread and looked and tasted like it had come from a supermarket. The side salad was good, but couldn't make up for the other food. To top it all off, the food was packaged in containers that didn't seal, so despite best effort to keep everything upright on the way home, the bag ended up full of liquids spilled out from the food containers. What a mess. Lebanese Taverna, which is about the same distance from our house, has a similar menu and great food. Even Lebanese Taverna's humus is awesome and full of flavor -- and it comes with ample hot, delicious pita bread baked only seconds before it is served. No point in ever going to Zoe's again.

I ate here last night and they have good food. I was with a group of friends so I tried a little bit of everything. The kabobs are real good.

I tried Zoe's kitchen today at the premier for tenants of the office building its located in. The restaurant has a nice colorful atmosphere with friendly people and great service. There is also a nice outdoor patio. Even though this was the first day of operations, employees seemed to have operations down. I ordered the chicken kebabs (their signature dish) and they were fantastic. Chicken was perfectly marinated and served with grilled peppers, onions, tomatoes, and a side of warm pita bread. I ordered fresh fruit (which was as stated) and steamed vegetables (which were well seasoned) as my sides. I also was able to sample their signature chocolate cake, which was moist and delicious, and their homemade limeade, which was a good combination of sweet and tart. Since this was a premier event, there was no charge, but ordinarily, I'd say $9 for the entree is a bit high. If they start to offer a lunch special, I could see myself eating here all the time. I would highly reccomend Zoes!

I work right up the street from Zoe's Kitchen at Park Potomac. We ordered carry-out today and they did a great job! Everyone was happy with what they ordered, from the tuna salad sandwich to the "Gruben". The chicken kabob was a hearty serving and the veggie pita pizza was delicious. Everyone was commenting that while it seemed "healthier" it was delicious! We will definitely be back!

What does Y-U-C-K spell? Zoe's, of course! Disclaimer: This is a review of their vegetarian options only. Meat eaters, move on. I happen to love baseball, so I generously applied the "three strikes you're out" policy to Zoe's. Here is a summary of all three: Visit 1: I noticed they serve chicken and salmon kabobs, so I asked the cashier if they were able to make me a veggie one (um, you know the part where you add meat/fish to the kabob? Just skip that step). "Oh no. We definitely can't do that." she replied. (Awesome). So, I ordered an egg salad sandwich, which aside from the gross shredded lettuce wasn't too bad. For whatever reason, I ordered the rice as my side dish and HOLY CRAP it was awful. WAAAAY too much salt and undercooked (or just tough and chewy for no reason). Definitely skip it. Visit 2: Thinking my first visit was a fluke, I visited a week or so later and ordered the spinach roll up. On the surface it sounded fantastic! Spinach, feta, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms in a tortilla wrap, lightly grilled. YUM, my brain said, so I ordered it. When I asked if they could leave the sun-dried tomatoes out of the mix I was told, "Well, we premake these so if you wanted a fresh one, you'd have to wait a lot longer for it." I was in a hurry so I figured it would be ok - I'd just pick the sun-dried tomatoes out, right? This time my wise brain reminded me to skip the rice, so I ordered the pasta salad with basil. Visit #2 - FAIL. The spinach roll was terrible - cold on the inside with a terrible spinach interior. I swear their salsa is the same as McDonald's - watery, bland, straight out of a jar. The pasta salad was gross too - canned tomatoes mixed with pasta and finely crumbled feta. CANNED TOMATOES? YUCK. Visit 3: Ok, this time I was gonna get it right. (Or die trying!) My co-workers rave about Zoe's so I figured the issue was mine, not the restaurant's. Try it again, Shachi. Try it again and be open minded this time. I knew I liked the egg salad so I ordered it (this time without lettuce), and I ordered the potato salad on the side because the rice and pasta salad had failed me miserably before. Egg salad was fine, but the potato salad was atrocious! Mealy, slimy potatoes in a pool of vinegary sauce at the bottom of the dish. (See photo). DISGUSTING. It may sound like I'm whining but for a company that touts the freshest ingredients and healthy lifestyles, they certainly do NOT walk the walk. Canned ingredients, pre-made dishes, GIGANTIC fountain soda cups all contribute to a very un-fresh experience. Three strikes and you're out of my book, Zoe's!

The food is ok, but the service is miserable. I have gone there several times and have had to wait along time just to order even when the place is empty. Go across the way to The Wine Harvest or Elevation Burger and you will have a much more pleasant experience for the same cost.

Dined there twice, will go back. However, a tub of hummus I brought home was more soup than dip.

What is it with supposedly healthy places just not having that great food? I *love* healthy food - this shouldn't be so hard! Zoe's was decent, definitely better than Elevation Burger, but still widely missing the mark. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the other people that I went with seemed to quite enjoy their food. Mine was ok but... well, let's see. First off, for a Mediterreanean place, their menu is severely lacking in vegetarian / vegan options. It should not be hard for me to find something to eat in that type of cuisine, but there wasn't anything that was vegan, and few things that were vegetarian. So I tried to adapt the veggie pita pizza, as I usually do with pizzas and usually love, but it became difficult, as they came to me after I placed my order and said "Well, there's feta in the spinach mix, but there's only a *little* bit of feta... would that be ok?" Well umm, no not really. And... what spinach mix?! There's no spinach listed on the menu in the description of this item! This apparently was an *exceptionally* difficult concept to understand, and I could not get a straight answer out of the guy as to what was actually *on* this pizza. Finally we settled on the roasted veggies, onions, basil, and sauce that were everything *listed* on the menu, minus the 2 cheeses - exactly like I ordered in the first place. So confused. Still. When the pizza came out it was ... good? I guess? I'm still not quite sure. There were some good flavors happening, I'm just not sure if it was all really too much in the end. Plus the sauce was clearly from a can (or tasted like it) and the whole thing was a mess, and ... yeah. The salad it came with was perfectly decent, but nothing amazingly special. Served with pita, so I had all sorts of white pita in my meal - surprising for a "healthy" place that they don't offer a whole wheat version. That may be part of the reason why I'm still feeling hungry after. Given that the meal was around $8.50 - not cheap for lunch - seems like I shouldn't still be hungry.... :-/ My friends ordered regular pita pizzas, kabobs, and a sandwich and all seemed happy with their orders and would go back, so maybe it's worth checking out. I probably won't head back myself, other than to be social.

Just ventured into Oily's Kitchen (aka Zoes Kitchen) at Park Potomac off 270. I had the oil with a hint of steak roll-ups and a side of oil sprinkled with roasted veggies. I couldn't really tell you how good the veggies or the steak wrap was because both were greasier than a guido's hair. Instead of napkins they should use maxi pads for the heavy flow oil that is coming out of the food. I expect greasy food out of a bad roadside dinner or a food truck, but not a freaking roll-up. I'm 32, and I'm now going to go to the Harris Teeter conveniently located next door to buy me some acne meds. I ate so much oil I can start feeling it coming out of my pores. Ewww.

Zoe's is near my store and I get lunch from there frequently. I love that they have quick service and healthier options. My favorite entrees are the Grilled Shrimp salad and the Tuna Pita (no mayo, yea!). I am in love with the white beans but don't order them if you don't like rosemary. The roll-ups are good but I don't need that much cheese. My kids like the kebabs and the orzo. Their family meals are a great value but sadly we all like different things.

So far I've tried the Gruben, Greek Chicken Pita, Chicken Kabobs. Everything has been fresh and good, without excessive salt or noticeable additives. Very friendly service. The drink deal (buy a reusable cup, and bring it back for 99-cent refills) is good, if you remember to bring the cup when you come.

Steak Stack (4/5 NOMs) Don't stack them up. Every bite is a taste bud joy with soft tender steak with portobello and cheesy goodness of mozzarella. On a very light toasted sourdough. It comes with your choice of a side and I went the healthy rout and added greek salad. Didn't expect so much salad. I could have filled up on just that. I think its my favorite order combination here. Spinach Roll Ups (4/5 NOMs) I love these rolls with chicken, but it was not enough food for me, but its a great dish to share with a friend or coworkers combined with another dish.

Im addicted to their Greek Salads though they're a little over priced. Very fresh and delicious though. I've been here the last two days since I was left craving another greek salad from the day before. Yesterday I had some trouble with waiting for my food way too long, seemed like they had forgotten my order. The woman did remedy it by refunding me though for my wait, so they get major points for fixing the issue. I also really like their goodies app. You get free stuff for submitting receipts. I'll be back, they're pretty awesome!

Great experience at this location! Here on business for a week and went to Zoe's at least 4 times. Pablo's customer service was exceptional! After my second visit he started calling me by my name when I walked in and even gave me a neighbor discount. Food was great. Love their shrimp kabobs and hummus. Overall great experience!
