Had my second takeout meal from here last week. The first time I ordered tacos. They were good, but I have very unsophisticated taste and missed the Taco Bell "supreme" treatments (cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream). Last week I ordered nachos, and I've been dreaming of them ever since. They were the best I've ever had or imagined, bar none! My only regret is that I only get to Poolesville a couple of times a year!
I added this place to Yelp because yesterday they served me two of the tastiest tacos I've ever eaten. Let me tell you a story: Mexican Grill is a clean, well-lighted establishment. On a rainy Sunday afternoon, it was the perfect haven for a hungry person. The girl running the place was attentive and efficient and the food came out right quick. It was good. I ate it quickly. The end. I deducted a star for one (relatively minor) reason: they were playing a really crappy radio station and I had to listen to Daughtry twice (!) during my meal. tl;dr verson: Fast, polite service; clean, no-frills digs; simple, yummy food.
This place gets my most improved award. We first came over a year and the food was bland and boring. Recently, the food has gotten so good! The salsa is good enough to eat as soup. The pupusas on Tuesdays are amazing! Seriously, try this place!

Poolesville, MD, the middle of nowhere is the home to this little pub. The building is old and seems as it was once a residence converted into a restaurant. There are different dining rooms throughout the building and a rather large covered outdoor patio. The decor is rustic and not cluttered. The ambiance is dark but the patio is nice and bright. The hallways are narrow and as you navigate through the place you can feel the uneven and sometimes squeaky floor. We went here for an early dinner on a Saturday and decided to sit outside. The menu is small but plentiful. They have an interesting selection of different menu items. Prices are average and the food is good. Our appetizer was Fried Buffalo Oysters. Tasty! Slightly breaded in Panko and with a few drops of hot sauce, served in the half shell with blue cheese. The Black and Blue Salad, with blackened steak, blue cheese and horseradish vinaigrette was great and a nice change. The SW chicken salad with fried sun dried tomato tortillas, fried chicken, roasted corn and cheese was also good. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. I have ridden by this place many times before and finally stopped in. I am glad I did!
Got the fried chicken and it was so dry I needed a chaser!
Nice little place. Seating and service is deliberate (slow) but cheerful. Patio pleasant but faces the Chevron station. I had a remarkably good turkey wrap. French fries were above average. My wife's chicken chipotle salad looked OK but not good enough for me to taste it.

This is a great little pizza place for the family! I ordered a calzone. My Italian side comes out and I can get picky with my calzones.. so I will say this one was not amazing, but it was pretty good! I ate it all :-) Overall, this is a pretty laid back place and there isn't a lot of seating, but for a bite to eat after a soccer game or carry out for the family, I think it is perfect! Oh, note to the parents.. They do serve beer and a couple cocktails!
After reading these reviews I am beginning to wonder if most people even know what good or even just decent food is. I took my daughter and her friend to get some lunch today and even the girls thought that the food was barely edible. I ordered the chicken Parmesan baked ziti which consisted of penne pasta in a flavorless, had to be from a can, sauce and clearly frozen breaded chicken that was dry. My daughter ordered a personal pepperoni pizza and again the sauce was downright gross and flavorless. Her friend ordered meat ravioli that was drenched in a flavorless sauce, clearly from a can. Even the bread that came with our pasta dishes was not properly toasted and drenched in butter.
We really want this place to do well. I would love to have a local watering hole that has great pizza and beer. The food is not made with love. The sandwiches and salads are nothing special. The pizza is not great either. We ordered a month back and never got our order. I can echo the other reviewers who complained about the person on the phone. She needs to be trained or removed. This is a restaurant that you would see on Restaurant Impossible. The owner needs some tough love or the place is going to close.
