You can usually tell where good food is being served, because the parking lot is full. Me and my wife were riding through Pasadena looking at houses, and used TV's one day, when we got hungry for lunch. I suggested going to Cookie's Kitchen, because the parking lot was full. Therefore, we walked in. We were seated immediately. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Wrap, and ordered the Special, which was a Sloppy Joe and fries. All of the food tasted incredible, especially the fries. There was so much food neither one of us could finish. We are definitely going there again. Their breakfast menu looked good too.

Cookie's Kitchen is a great little diner that all the us Pasadena locals know. My family and I often stop in for breakfast at a reasonable cost. I love the huge pancakes and fresh never ending coffee. Stop in and give it a try. You'll like it. Enjoy. D. J.

If you're looking for a cute local diner with the typical diner food then this is the place! If you're not- well you should be because who doesn't love diner food!! 3/5 stars only due to size, wait, and the food is good but it's not gourmet or anything it really is just diner food! Great experience and decor and the wait staff is always fun and they take good care of you

My husband and I came for breakfast, I had the special blueberry multigrain waffle, he had hotcakes and eggs. Service was great, food was great! We will be back :)

It's clear as soon as you approach, that this is one of those locally beloved, word of mouth kind of places. They seem to do a pretty good business. Kind of cute, kind of homey, some mom-like waitstaff. But the food just isn't that spectacular. Maybe we're spoiled by the easy presence of some great breakfast joints in A.A. County. The breakfast at Cookie's is as basic as you get. (The last breakfast we had that was this uninspiring was at a Cracker Barrel in Emporia, VA which was the only game in town.) Scrambled eggs, dry, flat. Blah toast, blah french toast (like mom used to make, with white bread and plain egg.) Coffee was a little overcooked, but decent, and they brought more. The side of breakfast meat amounted to one stick of bacon, and a little disk of sausage sitting dryly and forlornly on a side plate. It'll do if you're hungry, but there are better options.

Disgusting! My family made me stop here for breakfast and it was over priced for how cheap it is. I thought that it would be a great place to have breakfast due to how packed it is, but they proved me wrong. I had an omelet and it was made with the cheap Kraft cheese. They are right across the street from two grocery stores and they can't get deli cheese or shredded cheese??? Also, the omelet had zero flavor. It was so terrible that I threw it up in the parking lot.

I've been here a few times. It's definitely different from most breakfast places. It's in a remodeled house. It's very small but I think it adds to the charm. The waitress was nice and made jokes the entire time. She was great with my toddler also. The food was homestyle and came in huge portions. The only complaint I have is the price. I had to get everything al a carte since they didn't have a breakfast combo for me.

We have been there 2 times and on are bill they put $5 charge is this a auto tip for sitting in , no signs to tell you, we gave a tip plus the $5. We love the food

A great spot for breakfast in Pasadena. They really make you feel like family. Mrs Kay is awesome! She knows my order before I sit down at the table. The seasonal decorations are awesome. It's like whatever holiday threw up inside but it's great. You can have conversations with complete strangers across the restaurant. It's no big deal to walk in bleary eyed and with no makeup for breakfast. No judgement. But show up before 8:30 if you don't want to wait.

First visit. Walked in didn't know whether to seat ourselves or not. 2 waitresses having conversation ignored our presence. had to excuse an interruption to ask if we should seatb ourselves. we arrived at 11:01 and were told breakfast stopped at 1100. They decided to accept one more breakfast order. However was told they were out of home fries. I said no problem just give me a pancake instead. witress refused as that is not a normal sub for home fries. I pointed out that I wanted home fries but they were out... a non-normal situation. she still refused to accomodate. in the end decided this was LAST visit......

Cookies is a home style down to earth community eatery. This location is small but there is nothing wrong with that, it makes the experience more unique. There is a slight theme throughout the restaurant, generally based on what ever seasonal holiday is up coming, Cookies will likely be dressed in it's decor. As for the food, customer service and just everything else about this place it is NOT worth anyone's time. It's likely better for someone to go to McDonald's and have better customer service. I have a few breakfast and dinner visit's under my belt; each time nothing seem to impress, the food is kind of like home cooking but doesn't represent someone's culture or experience. Everything is bland and I normally found my self peppering and salting 85% of the dish. I am sorry i just don't get the hype, there is nothing about this place worthy of anyone's time.

Our favorite place to eat in Pasadena! The best food, the nicest staff, the great decorations! We love breakfast here with the lovely Miss Kay, dinner with the sweet Miss Sarah. Food is excellent and huge portions. We feel at home here and there are no pretensions...just friendly local hard working people. We love Cookies and respect the dedicated staff...great job to all!

Our first time here was for breakfast. The place is small and first-come, first-served.. No list or anything. Sunday around 11 and we waited about 10-15min. Breakfast was pretty good. Almost docked a star for not using real cheese in the ham/cheese omelet, but it was all good food. Omelet was fluffy and not overcooked (I don't like how some places brown the eggs). Bacon was better than the thin stuff that curls up when cooked. Decent portions (2-egg omelet vs 3, like some places). Looking around, all the food looked good: Belgian waffles, chipped beef gravy, homemade biscuits, etc. Good sweet tea. Great, friendly service.

Life is short - eat at Cookies! Especially for Breakfast! The décor is eclectic and gives you something to look at while you stand, waiting for a table. Service: The wait on weekends is worth it. Tables turn over quickly, as no one nibbles slowly at something so delicious. The service is excellent (especially Kay makes us feel like we are right at home), and your coffee cup is never empty. Although tables are arranged tightly, it somehow doesn't seem to matter because just for a moment, we all seem like family. (There aren't many restaurants where I will willing sit cheek and jowl with strangers, and I'm sure my politics are probably not in any way aligned to that of most of the clients, but it's hard to disagree with the happy sound of happy people nearby - happy because they are enjoying their breakfast. Even those waiting seem rather easy to get along with and we have never experienced anyone trying to "jump the line.") Food: Specials on the board are sometimes hits, sometimes misses, but we still try them when the combination is intriguing. The creamed sausage gravy over biscuits and waffles piled high with fresh fruit and whipped cream are our favorites - as you can tell, it's not exactly a health food paradise. Personally, I wouldn't bother with trying to slim down by eating differently at Cookies. Just go for another run or bike ride so you can afford to indulge here.

This is a great little diner type place! Always busy but the wait usually isn't too bad. Great service-lots of locals so they often know your drink order. Good food at decent prices. Give it a shot- I think you'll like it!

Amazing home cooked food, not expensive, most of the staff there has been there for at LEAST 15 years. I've been coming here since I was a kid, always for breakfast...I recently stopped in after about 9 years of not going to have breakfast and the food, if possible, has gotten even better...Miss Kay was working all the tables, just like she was when I was 10 years old. Many things, for me, are like this: you go somewhere as a kid, or whenever...you like it...then don't go for a long time, then you do go back it's horribly disappointing. This is NOT the case with Cookie's. The place is amazing. Awesome food, great people, fun atmosphere, service is just perfect. I will always come back to Cookie's.

I have visited every year for 5 years when I visit my sister and have yet to be disappointed. We love sitting at the counter watching Cookie and her staff put out amazing food with precision timing. Friendly staff, good comfort food & great prices. It all works for this California gal. It's always my 1st request to visit when in Pasadena and a great way to start off my vacation!

Great food! Ordered dinner to go. I got the country fried steak, "to die for" mashed potatoes and potato salad. It was the best! I even called them when i got home just to compliment then on how much I loved it! Highly recommend for a meal that's as good as home cooked.

It was our first time at cookies and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was incredibly fast considering how packed they were on a Thursday morning but was so delicious! The French toast was perfectly fluffy and the mushroom omelet was stuffed with mushrooms and cheese! Even the coffee is good! Ms. Kay is hilarious and very efficient! We'll definitely be back :)
