Always awesome at Jerry D's! The best pork chops in Parkville! I'll have to take one home!

We stopped here for a beer last night. I've walked past Jerry D's a bunch of times and finally stopped in. The place is a lot larger than it looks on the outside. It has really high ceilings, and it was bright and clean inside. The bar is pretty long. The Miller Lite was as good as it is anywhere else. The prices are very reasonable - a draft beer was a little over $2. Our bartender was very friendly and didn't bother us too much. It's definitely a good place to hang out, talk, and relax. It wasn't rowdy at all. It reminds me of a friendly neighborhood bar.

My favorite restaurant in Patkville. Don't go expecting anything fancy. It has a neighborhood feeling without the frills. The food is delicious and plentiful. For the price you can't beat Jerry D's. The servers are the best and they have my iced tea on the table when I sit down. The beer and drink prices are the best in the area. Say hi to Carl the owner when you arrive and tell him Larry and mark sent you

This place is a staple of Parkville, and has great food for prices that can't be beat. They have a really good wing platter for $6. The Murphy fries with gravy will stick to you're ribs. Be sure to order some hot sauce to dip your wings in. Now the few downsides is that its not great for kids. No kids menu, and no kids drinks, it wouldn't hurt to have kids drinks available, juice boxes or something. However some of the items on the menu have such large portions that they can be split between the kids, so that's a plus. Watch out for the sodas too, last couple of times they've been flat. Service is good, and the owner seems to walk around and greet everyone. This place is very friendly, and you Definitely get your bang for your buck with the portion sizes.

Popped into this place with my boyfriend and his parents after checking out the house we're buying around the corner. I'll get it out there now - We're going to become regulars at this place! This is not some establishment of epic culinary masterpieces. Notice that nowhere in the title does it say "Gastro Pub". It's good food, proper portions, excellent prices. Most of the menu was under $10 bucks for various sandwiches, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the side salad. I figured 2 grape tomatoes, and some bagged salad mix. It was actually a decent sized plate of fresh veggies, for under $5. (The Caesar was also excellent). I got a corned beef club, which was piled high with meat, and very tasty. The parents for the steak sandwich, which was a small piece of steak on a roll, and they were pleased. And the boyfriend got a hot corned beef sandwich which he was quite pleased with. The crab pretzel was also tasty, as were the onion rings. All in all, this place will become our new go-to place for a solid meal. The prices are incredibly surprising in a see of overpriced plates, and the quality of food does not suffer for it. The bar section also looked decent to stop in to watch the game (if that's your thing), but it looked like they might benefit from a new flat screen TV or two.

Jerry D's is a deceptively spacious and nice restaurant at the corner of Harford and Taylor. From the outside it looks a little dull but inside is warm and inviting with a bright and cheery wood interior. The restaurant is narrow but very deep and also has an upstairs seating and bar area. Upstairs feels particularly cramped, especially if you have a large group. The menu is pretty standard but very diverse. I was delighted to see a Taylor pork roll sandwich on the menu which has become a rare sight these days, outside of Jersey. One thing worth mentioning is the VERY reasonable pricing. A hearty club sandwich at dinner was only $6 and a 4.5 oz crabcake was, if I remember correctly, $7.50. Not bad at all. Food quality, however, isn't anything great. Fake mashed potatoes but with delicious gravy. Standard thick cut frozen french fries, typical wheat or white bread sandwiches piled high with deli meat turkey and ham. Nothing special but a good deal for the low price and amount of food they serve you. On weekend nights they have live music which is a nice draw, though the crowd is a bit older. The main listening area is very open so it's easy to get a good seat to check the band out and even room enough for dancing. I think I'd be more inclined to go to Jerry D's to see a band and only really order food if I happened to be hungry while there. Probably wouldn't be my first choice for dinner, however.

I went to Jerry D's based on the other reviews here. Glad I did. I went on Valentines Day. It was a full house but no wait. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, sort of the Cheer's of restaurants. I ordered a bowl of Md. crab soup and a whole lobster with 2 sides. It was a real bargain at thirteen bucks. My dinner companion got the Md. crab soup and the steak and crabcake combo. The soup was wonderful. Chock full of crab meat and veggies. It was on par with my Dad's crab soup and that's no easy task. The lobster arrived nice and hot with a bowl of drawn butter. Not a little dipping pot of butter, I mean a bowl of butter. They must have melted a whole stick of it. Ummmmm. The fresh brocoli was cooked done, soft but not mushy. The potato was ok, how great can a baked potato get? The only complaint was the lack of a lobster bib. I went home with a few butter stains on my shirt. My boyfriend's steak was cooked to his satisfaction and he reported the crabcake was very good. He also noted that the gravy on his mashed potatoes was excellent. The waitress was spot on with refills and checking up on us. Even though it was a busy night we never felt rushed. My boyfriend commented to her on how much he like the restaurant and she must have said something to the owner. He made a point of coming over and thanked us for the compliment and said he was glad everything was to our liking. To sum it up, it's a nice clean, friendly, homey place. A little worn around the edges but that only enhances the comfort level. The food was good, well prepared and served by friendly attentive servers. The prices are great. I'll be glad to go back again soon.
