It's a chain restaurant. The mixed blessing of the chain, particularly big ones like Denny's is that the things they do well (breakfast, basic burger/sandwiches) will always give you a solid effort. Nothing great, but you will eat , be happy pay your check and leave. Where these chains are getting themselves into trouble is when they try to operate outside of their comfort zone. Your basic line cook at Denny's has no business trying to make "exotic" things. So in a pinch- you want consistent (or reasonably so) good stop for breakfast. If you have time and inclination find a local Diner or a small place that specializes in breakfast; you may pay more but.... Last visit I had a bacon avocado egg burrito (see above about sticking with the basics). It was okay. I had to reach into my taste memory for the avocado, there wasn't much around. The eggs were good, bacon crisp and the tortilla only slightly stale. Overall not bad for a chain breakfast (I keep returning to that point don't I). My lovely partner built her own Slam...smart move. The standards don't disappoint. She seemed happy enough and said so. Made a comment about how good the coffee was as well. I take her word for it. I am a coffee tramp. Once you have drink out of a 20 gallon urn in an Army chow hall- your sense of the "good stuff" is ruined forever. Our server was Excellent. Bright , sunny, positively "Broadway" (not that there is anything wrong with that). In fact his uniqueness and genuine sweet personality made a regular Saturday morning breakfast a bit of an entertainment event.

went here last night. took a long time to get our order and took a longer time to bring it. i think they were short-staffed. the customer from the table behind us asked the guy (maybe the manager) if they are hiring, and the manager said they are not at the moment because they are full. and the customer said that it doesn't look that way!!! lol it was that bad. i mean, if you know early that you're short-staffed, just tell your customers that they have to wait for 10-15 min for their orders to be taken and maybe another 15-20 min to be served. so that we will have the option to stay or leave. i know they are not fastfood service, but hey, the kids were starving! i was really tempted to leave but my husband said that i won't be able to get waffles if we go to a buffet. and then our server came. so we ordered and i ordered my waffles... and when it came... shouldn't waffles be soft and fluffy? mine was short of being like a frisbee!!! it was toasted! but i just ate my toasted, frisbee-like waffles for fear of it be taken away and me waiting another hour for it! other food was just ok, i guess. hubby finished his omelette, my son didn't finish his spaghetti. he said it taste weird. my husband said it tasted with some unknown spices. my daughter didn't finish her puppies because she was already full from the chocolate bar that she ate while waiting for them to take our order. all in all, it was not a good experience. will think twice before coming back in this place. there's a lot of restaurants and fastfood in this area, you know.

Ummmm it's just a quick cheap meal. What more can I say? I do prefer this location over Merritt blvd. the service is better here. Always seated and served immediately.

I know some Dennys have a bad reputation for being dirty and having rude staff, but I have only had good experiences at this Dennys. The food is always good, and the prices are great. The place is clean, the staff is always friendly, and I always get my refills quickly.

Had the American slam, Cold Sausage, Raw hash browns (looked like white shredded potatoes) and the toast was not served with my meal. When the waitress brought the toast it was burnt... She seemed surprised that I didn't want burnt toast when I told her to take it away. She brought it back and the black was scraped off of it. WTF? Idiot cooks can't even make toast or cook hash towns and know nothing about timing when it comes to a serving a meal as a unit. See picture of crappy cooking that I've attached.

Mrs. Terry always provides the best customer service. Hot chocolate with whipped cream and topped with chocolate syrup. Oh what a special treat the meat lovers omelette is absolutely the best you can get pancakes instead of toast extra plus for me. So if you want great customer service and excellent breakfast at a cheap price Denny's definitely is the place to go weather is 10 AM or 3 AM breakfast is always good.

The food is always fine but the service usually suck. They are slow. Forgetful. If you ask a question they are short with you because they are busy. The last time I went, I did carry out because it was so bad. But even with carry out it was bad. The lady overcharged me for something that clearly has a price on the menu and when I asked her about it she snipped about some special rule. Regardless, she was rude and turned me away with no apologies. I got home with the over charged item and they hadn't even placed it in my order. I was so annoyed! So, long story short, don't go here!

Bizarro world!! The food is decent but the service sucks!! Usually it's the opposite at Denny's but not in Baltimore. The waitress was bragging about how she's worked here for 35 years and it shows. But not in a positive way. As per Baltimore everyone is in a rush... Usually the waitress at Denny's asks how you would like your many options such as potato type, meat type, and all the usual options. If they had more than 3 tables I probably wouldn't have cared, but it's 9:20 in the morning. I usually tip bad waiters 6 bucks no matter if the bill is 7 dollars or 20. But I felt like I was paying someone to goof on me when I did it here... Also had a pubic hair on my pancakes. Plenty of other good places near here, avoid this place like the plague.

My server was Troy. He was friendly, professional and attentive. I hung out using the wifi for nearly 4 hrs. And even after I paid and gave him his tip he still made sure my coffee was never empty. I give him my highest regards despite being a cowboys fan ; ) If you're in the area request him and let him know Romo will never make it to the big show :D

We started going to this Denny's because the one in Dundalk has gotten so bad. Well, I think this was my last trip to THIS Denny's and maybe any Denny's anywhere. I'll start with the new Turkey Club. I ate the first quarter of said sandwich and it was bad. I then noticed there was NO BACON on it. I asked the waitress and she said, and I quote, " I don't think the turkey club comes with bacon". Now I don't know about you but in my book what makes a club a club is the bacon, otherwise it's just a turkey sandwich. Eventually someone brings me 2 little strips of bacon on a plate. I said is that all the bacon the comes on a club. Then our waitress brought out 2 more strips. I put the bacon on the second quarter and it was slightly better but still not good. One bite into the 3rd quarter of this club sandwich I discovered why it tasted so bad. The center piece of toast was burned, and I mean burned black. I took the center piece of bread out of the last quarter of my club and asked to see the manager. He offered me another sandwich which I refused since I'd already eaten most of the first one. Then the owner came over and tried blaming it on the toaster. Yeah maybe the toaster is on the fritz but it's still a human being assembling the sandwich, do you think he didn't SEE the pitch black burnt bread? I mean SOMEONE put the mayo on that toast. The owner did comp the club. Guess I should have showed him the huge clump of fused together tortilla chips that made up my daughters uneaten Nachos, he might have comped those too. I remember repeating a line from the movie Nacho Libre where the old monk says "This is the worst lunch I ever had". LOL NOW....on to the gals working there. The place was pretty empty but we were surrounded by dirty tables. When they finally came out to clean them they complained loudly about a Cassie who I guess didn't show up. They said the only reason she came to work was to get away from her 5 screaming kids. They complained in general and talked far too much to the customers. To me it was very unprofessional. Leave folks to enjoy their meal in peace.

I haven't been to Denny's in probably 3-4 years. I had breakfast there a few days ago. The restaurant was very very clean and definitely looked updated. I had 2 pancakes, eggs, bacon and hashbrowns for like $7. Food was awesome and so was the service. I'll be back :)

I have to admit that I hardly ever go to Denny's unless I don't have any other choices. That was the case in the evening on New Year's Day when all the other restaurants closed early and I was over an hour from home. So Denny's it had to be! This Denny's is on US-1 northbound. It is part of a strip mall complex but as is typical for freestanding restaurant setups, it has its own parking spaces. Service was fine but then again it was just me and one other customer in the restaurant so there was no way it could be slow. I tried the holiday turkey melt since the holiday menu items were going away soon and won't be back. (Until next December, that is.) I probably should've gone with something else. Turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing just don't seem right between slices of toast.
