Beer and Drinks..... Ding Ding Ding Ravens Fanatics.... Ding Ding Ding O's Fanatics........... Ding Ding Ding Feel like I should see The Situation, JWOW, Snookie and some other Jersey Shore douche...... DING DING DING If you've been here you know what I mean. The bar is what you go to Della's for not the average food. The Avenue Tavern has been here as long as I can remember. On Fridays and Saturdays this place turns into a ISHT show good luck finding a place to sit and hang with your friends unless you're there early but who wants to be that group getting to the bar at 730 so you can look cool at midnight?! If you must go bring a big group... or don't, you're bound to run into someone you know but don't really want to hang out with on a regular basis!!

Eh...it was ok. Ordered lasagna and it was so-so, but FAR from the best I ever had. The service was decent though. The drinks are great-I got an orange creamsicle. Yummmm! But overall, it was just an ok experience and I can't see myself going back unless its for happy hour drink specials.

I found this place while visiting the White Marsh mall area. It wasn't that bad. It definitely has an Italian flair with the food, but the night I was there, there was country music blaring. Food was decent, but I think they need to decide what they want to be.

Ordered "veggie pasta" and was very disappointed. I may have seen one or two tiny veggies in the sauce (pinhead size, no exaggeration). The sauce was mixed with the pasta, which turned me off. The sauce had no flavor whatsoever. I told the waiter about the miniscule veggies and he said he'd ask the chef to sauté some veggies for me. My husband almost finished his dish but my veggies never came! After tasting and discovering that the sauce had no flavor, I sent the dish back, totally disgusted. The waiter was so sweet; he apologized and asked if I wanted something else but I was so turned off, I just sat and sipped my iced tea.

we stopped in for a quick bite before a movie. BIG mistake! Since we only had about an hour and a half we decided to sit in the bar. We ordered the spinach dip which was a bitter soupy mess... We also ordered wings which come in orders of 10 (enough to share but too much for one); they had a few interesting varieties but our waitress informed us that we couldn't mix the flavor (we wanted 2 different sauces) because it was too crowded). It took more than 30 mins. to get 2 orders or wings and fries. There was nothing special about the wings or fries, they were not worth the wait. We won't be returning.

I actually like this place a lot. The food is good. I've never gotten sick or had a problem with it. The prices are good, and it's a great place to watch a football game. The beer is cold, the servers are friendly, and frankly that's all you need.

This place sucks. Do not think about eating here since there are so many other places to go nearby. This is really just a bar and should be treated as such.

Went here last night with a large group, about 15 of us. We had crab dip, buffalo dip, and old bay wings for apps. Everything was very tasty. I got the chicken ranch wrap which was delicious. Only down side was very slow service.

My server was very nice, but the food left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Had a cup of their Maryland Crap soup which consisted of a bunch of canned green beans and no crab whatsoever. Ate it anyway and moved on to their fried calamari. It did seem to be prepared pretty well until I bit into it. The amount of salt the cooks apparently threw on it was staggering. I did let the server know. Even though she was very nice, I wasn't given the option of having another one made, letting a manager know or choosing something else instead. So, I just ate what I could, paid and left. On the positive, they did honor my request of cocktail sauce rather than marinara. But yeah, any other restaurant in White Marsh Town Center is better than this place.

The Baltimore wings are the best...kinda a old bay & honey mustard mix. Also love the loaded fries, crab dip, and buffalo chicken dip. The meatball sub is enormous but tasty and the sandwiches, burgers, and pastas are excellent. Absolutely love this place!

The bouncer was the epitome of racism. Because I danced with a black male he kicked me our of the bar. The guy made no valid cause yet because I was a middle eastern male he kicked me out. I will never come to this bar or pay for food ever again

Great bar for a game! The waitresses are wonderful! And I love that it's kind of "everyone knows your name" type of place; very comfortable. However, it's showing its age. The wall needs to come down between restaurant and bar...the restaurant side is never really full and this place isn't known for good food. Bring that walk down and make a good bar/restaurant. Bathrooms are showing age too. Food is not good so don't expect a great meal.

Don't come for the food. I have been here several times, and tried many things on the menu, and never had any food that I would consider good.

  • Alice S.

Can I give it no stars? Ok, the food wasn't bad. But the service was horrible! And she wasn't apologetic at all. I'll spare her by not naming names, but news flash - if someone complains, don't just shrug your shoulders. It was incredibly slow, and no apologies at all. They forgot our salads, and 2 of us got the same pasta but the portions were totally different. Not going back.

I really like Della Rose's, and have been going to them for years. Their shrimp salad (seasonal friday special) is my all time favorite, with the buffalo Chicken wrap and their crab dips being my favorites off the regular menu. I am also a big fan of their pizza. The dinning room is kind of small which can make it incredibly difficult to get into here during peak times.

Update-Get the wings. Best wings Ive had in a while. And again-another great server! 2 stars only because our server Lindsay was great. Lets say- the menu looks fantastic! So many great looking choices, very hard to decide! But the food was not good. This seems like a family restaurant and has family all over the menu, so go get your mom and let her help you make these fabulous looking dishes taste just a little bit good. The portions are also very small and The prices reflect this. With a little fine-tuning, a price increase, and maybe a new cook, maybe you could have more than 2 tables in your dining room at 7:30 on the 1st warm night of the year where everywhere else was on a 45 minute wait.

Service - really SLOW. Took forever to get the food. Prices very reasonable. Food was REALLY GOOD. Burgers and Pot Roast Fries. Not sure if I would go back due to the service.

Went here the other day because the place was pretty much empty, and we wanted a quite place to go grab some dinner. We were greeted when we walked in, and was seated immediately. As I looked over the menu I had a hard time choosing something to eat because I didn't see much that interest my fancy. We ended up getting the Crab Dip as a starter, which was really good. They serve the a crab dip in a bread bowl and they give you extra bread on the side. It kind of taste like the Crab Dip from Red Brick, which their Crab Dip is Amazing! It's nice when you finish the Crab Dip Bowl because then you can tear a part and eat the bread bowl which is then soaked with Crab dip,Yum! I got the Southwestern Turkey Burger and it was delicious; I was impressed. It was flavorful and juicy. I really want another one right now, lol. My fiancé got the Bacon Guacamole Burger, and he really enjoyed it. He said that it was cooked to perfection.

Apparently, the microwave is broken. My cup of cream of crab soup was room temperature and dry like it had been sitting out. The jerk chicken looks like grocery store chicken pieces from a box with cold relish on top. It used to be a real chicken breast. And it wasn't crowded.

I was a bit disappointed. I frequently visit White Marsh and usually stop off at The Tilted Kilt, Red Brick Station, or Kobe for dinner. I decided to make a trip here to try lunch. I ordered one of their salads and asked for grilled chicken to be added. The place was pretty empty for this time of the day but it still took over 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. And to make matters worse I did not get grilled chicken. It looks like they put baked chicken on it instead. The chicken was cold and stringy. Needless to say I won't venture from my usual haunts in the future.

Good spot to grab a drink and meet friends. They are focused on the local sports teams (Orioles & Ravens) which is always a welcome sight. Interesting cocktail menu and local beers on tap. Good appetizers. VERY good prices. Music is not too loud and good location.

Let me start off by saying I will never go back to this place ever again! I should have turned around the moment i entered and saw one of the door handles missing. REALLY??? The hostess was too busy playing on her phone to even seat us. When we sat ourselves at the bar it was a disgusting mess. I will say the server was very nice, but the nachos we ordered were disgusting (horrible, fake product). We sent them back and asked for crabdip, which was fishy. And did i mention it took 35 minutes to bring us the dip in an empty restaurant at 2:00pm. We finally told our server to just give us the check so we could pay and go get lunch somewhere else. Red Brick Station, Chillis, The Tilted Kilt are acorss the street people. I recommend going there for a better experience.

Wifey and I stopped in and had dinner in the bar area last night, our first time here in quite a while. We were seated right away in a booth (opt for dining room side if you're bothered by noise... we are not), and were waited on very promptly-- waitress was at the table before I returned from viewing their rather sad beer selection. I had the French melt and wifey had the open face turkey sandwich. Both were good, though I find their fries sorta boring. We did have to wait a while for the food, and the waitress was apologetic. Overall a middle of the road experience, with the biggest disappointment to me being very poor draught beer selection with no Maryland or local craft beers.

This place is usually very empty or very mobbed due to a sports game of some sort. The service is very inconsistent sometimes you end up waiting awhile or it takes effort to get ahold of wait staff. Some people at you table get waited on well while you are forgotten. The food is also inconsistent, some menu items are great like the Thai chilli shrimp appetizer or the spinach dip. But these appetizers that are so good also come at a steep price. Other items like their fried chicken sandwich aren't even worth what you pay. You'd get a sandwich them times tastier at chik-fil-a and the same goes for the fries. In a word, bland! Can't say I'd go out of my way to dine here too often but if you know what to get to eat because you know it tastes good, don't mind spending a little extra dough, and are not in a rush to eat or leave then this is your place to dine. Especially if you want a place to watch the game and be as loud rude and obnoxious as you want.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon. The place was absolutely empty and the food was terrible.

  • Jen M.

Upon arrival we waited until the hostess got done texting before she sat us at the bar without so much as a 'hello'. We tried to be nice, she ignored us, tossed the menus down and went back to her seat at the front. We sat in the almost-empty bar for five minutes without even seeing a member of the waitstaff while the two bartenders talked it up with patrons sitting at the bar. Rather than subject ourselves to any more of this, we left out the front, past the hostess who was back on her cellphone (still ignoring us - how about that for consistency?). There are too many options on the Avenue to subject yourself to this place.

I think the overall average review for Della Rose's is about right. There's nothing really that sticks out for me at this establishment. The food is mediocre, the live music.. just the same. To be honest, I'd rather walk across the Avenue and grab myself some fantastic food and home-brewed beer at Red Brick Station. Essentially, I try not to harp on restaurants that don't measure up to my standards - so I guess you should check it out for yourself.

This was a pleasant find. I am confused by the reviews I am seeing here. We dined at Della Rose's for our anniversary last night and I was pleased with everything about the experience. When we first arrived a nice older woman put us on a waiting list (it was a busy Friday night) so we scooped up some bench seats amongst the peanut shelled floor by the front door. I didn't even have enough time to pull up the yelp reviews on my phone before she was back for us with an adorable 2 seater booth along the wall in the dining area. Our waitress was great, she gets cool points for sporting her Ravens tshirt. She kept the drinks flowing ($5 dollar crush night Fridays from 7-9 and wouldn't you know it we got seated at 7:04.) The entire staff was very friendly. I saw several of them stop to interact with a baby a table over from ours. I ordered the veggie pasta linguini- that came with garlic bread and salad. I asked for plain bread and oil and vinegar as my dressing. I panicked as we waited when I saw a pasta dish come out smothered in parmesan cheese and asked the waitress if she could tell them not to put any on mine. She was very nice about it. The pasta was delicious. The diced zucchini and squash were plentiful and weren't over cooked, the pasta cooked to perfection and the tomato sauce tasted very clean. The bread was fresh and I even got to try out a new toy where you can adjust the amount of oil vs. vinegar in one bottle. (Oh, the things that excite me...) My husband ordered the Pink Lemonade Crush, Jerk Chicken Quesadilla as a starter and the only complaint I have, they didn't bring out his appetizer sooner. I ate my entire salad before he had his quesadilla in front of him. He also ordered their Turkey Burger. I stole a couple fries and they were great. He raved about everything he ordered. My husband and I agree the food is so much better at Della Rose's than Red Brick Station. The Orange Crush Creamsicle was very different than the one I had across the street. This one was much more of a cream taste whereas the one at Red Brick Station is more of a fresh orange taste. Both are very good but very different tastes. I will be back to Della Rose's to try more drinks.

Hadn't been here for a couple years, but stopped in for a couple of beers with a friend. Bartender got our initial beers pretty quickly, but as the night wore on it was tougher to get their attention. The biggest issue was trying to get a menu at the bar. Crab dip was decent, especially for bar food. Overall it was a decent place for a beer.

I remember the original restaurant in Overlea. We went there a lot and they had the best food. I can not say that about this one on the Avenue. But there is not really a restaurant on the Avenue at White Marsh that is a really great choice for a good meal. The hostess was pleasant but did not know the HH specials. She did find it out for us. 5-7 you get $2 drafts and $4 rails. And she added free peanuts! The bar was not crowded but it was very loud. We decided to eat in the dining room. We had some orange crushes to start and they were very sweet and went down easily. Our waitress had made a mistake and told us they were $5 but not till 7-9. She apologized. What is up with staff not knowing HH times and prices? It's not a large bar or dining area. I had a shrimp salad which was their special for the night along with several other dishes and cream of crab soup. I should have known that I should have stuck to Italian but we were headed to the theatre and I did not want a heavy dinner. The soup had some crab in it but I just did not like it. I can't really figure it out....the base was way too thick or too salty or what. The shrimp salad was by far the worst I have ever eaten. It came on a small kaiser roll. It had no taste at all. No spices....and not enough shrimp. They were small like out of a can or the frozen kind you buy at the local grocery store. I am use to my sandwich dripping apart and having to put the shrimp back into the sandwich or pick it up with my finger. Not with this sandwich. No fighting needed to keep it on the roll! Sandwich wins....I lose. I was told the burger that was ordered was good but the quesadillas were over cooked and greasy. We did finish off the meal with a great home made ice cream cake that we shared. That is why I am giving it two stars only for the beginning drinks and the finale. The cake filling between the ice cream was delicious. They had a caramel dipping and whipped cream surrounded it. It disappeared instantly with three spoons digging in. However, I would not eat here again. The food was not worth the prices. It would be better if in the area to just eat at a chain restaurant they have there such at Chili's or TGIF. At least you know what you are getting.

Food was good but it was way too noisy. We weren't in the bar but it sounded like we were sitting right in the middle of it. May be good for drinks or to watch a game but not for a relaxing dinner.

Stopped here for a quick bite with 5 adults and 3 kids, were immediately sat, watered and fed in time to catch our movie forty-five minutes later. Food was solid standard tavern fair, a little slow coming out, and the beer was great. Good pre-movie option.

Don't bother coming here. I've been working in this area for a while now so I decided to give this place a shot only because I've been to all the other places. There's a reason why this place is empty. Had a burger because I thought...who could mess up a burger? Man it was pretty bad. Just stick with Red Brick Station.

My first time here will also be my last. I ordered the onion rings and they came dripping in grease. i thought they were donuts at first for how thick the batter was. Could hardly taste the onion in it. Ordered a chicken parm panini it was advertised as breaded chicken breast. It was a chicken patty like the dollar menu chicken sandwich from Mcdonalds. Except they added a little bit of sauce and some cheese not for 10.50 what a rip. I had a meatball sub all i got was 3 regular sized meatballs. I could have received double the size at subway for half the price. The restroom wasnt the cleanest and stunk like old chlorine.

My Husband and I were out for a quick bite to eat. He wanted to go to Della Rose's since we hadn't been there in over a year. The last time we were their sandwich sizes were very large. It wasn't very busy but then again none of the wait staff was just standing around. It looks like your typical place that has a sports theme with all the sport memorabilia hanging around. On the bar side there are plenty of TVs with either the news or sport on. Recalled from the last time we were there we loved the Crab Dip. So we started with the Crab Dip ($10.99) that is served in a bread bowl and lightly toasted pieces of bread and topped with melted cheese. We were slightly disappointed with the size. We both said we thought it was bigger last time (for $10.99 I would thin it would be). It wasn't overly small it could just use a bit more to it. However we still both agreed that is one of the best Crab Dips we have had (besides the one I make LOL). For my main course I had the Southwestern Chicken Panini, which had grilled chicken with jalapeño pesto, chipotle mayo and Pepper Jack cheese. It is also served with a sided of fries. The flavor of the Panini was ok- I was expecting a much bigger kick- in fact I didn't feel any heat form the spice or peppers. I also felt that it was on the greasy side from the butter they used on the bread (or whatever they use). Not sure if I would get it again. On the other hand, the LOVE their fries! My husband had the Hot Beef Sandwich, which was open faced roast beef sandwich smothered in gravy. He got he fries smothered in gravy also. The first he said to be when he got it was "Where is the Beef?" In fact it seemed it was2 and if you were lucky 3 slices of beef and there was 2 larges slices of white bread cut in halves under it. They did good presenting it so it looked fuller with meat. He said the taste was good but needed a bit more meat. We sat at a both along the divider of windows that separated the bar and the dining room- I noticed one thing that really put me of- DUST. It looked as though it hadn't been dusted in weeks or more. I ran my finger over it and gazed at how dirty my finger was- I am glad I didn't have a white glove on for that test! The area I wiped stuck out like a sore thumb after I swiped my finger. They need to get on that! Now if I am going to rate it out of 5 stars I honestly would give it a 2 1/2 overall. Now if I break it down in other area and not a general aspect certain things would get lower than 2 1/2 and other would get higher. For example, portions sizes would get lower but the crab dip taste would get higher.

This has got to be the worst place to eat in White Marsh. Poor service an really bad food quality. We ended up here because everywhere else had a 45 min wait and here we could sit now. There was a reason this was the only open place.

Standard ..."nothing special". Another place that serves cheeseburgers with a side of chips... oh geez thanks so basically i just paid $10 for just a cheeseburger. Cross the street and go to Red Brick.

Q & A on Jason's Deli
