Earl of Sandwich

Earl of Sandwich (located in the Chesapeake Plaza Travel Center) has become my go-to meal option whenever we are road tripping up I-95 and I get hungry. The sandwiches are consistently delicious and service is friendly and quick. I always order the "1762" (roast beef with horseradish) and absolutely love it! So delicious and filling. I also love their specialty BBQ chips. Sure, it's kind of overpriced for a sandwich, but trust me when I say that it's completely worth it and you get your value. There are plenty of seats in the travel plaza and it's just convenient all around. I generally like to explore new things, but when I'm traveling I like to stick with the tried and true. Earl of Sandwich certainly fits the bill.
im surprised that theres no review for this place yet.. first off.. i LOVE earl's of sandwich i make everyone get it for me when they head home from vegas. so about this place.. we were on the way of coming home from the baltimore aquarium.. then like every car.. we had to stop for gas. at that moment i happen to be on yelp and the sister in law was saying there an earl's of sandwich close by!! i couldnt believe my ears!! we stopped by this rest stop that had a couple of food there and there it was on the right... EARL'S OF SANDWICH!!! they dont have as much kinds as vegas.. but itll do.. i give this place a 5 stars not because i love it soo much but the cashier was soo friendly that he gave me a free bag of chips and 5 cups of soda. lol SCORE :]

Rita’s Italian Ice

Reviews:
My wife absolutely loves this Rita's. The service is always friendly and they change their flavors on a regular basis. I am not the greatest fan of Italian ice, but their mango and cantaloupe flavors are pretty darn delicious.
Not impressed. Had never been to a Rita's before but judging by reviews I decided to give them a try. A friend and I ordered something called a Blendini (sp?) which was like a bad milkshake / ice custard combo thing. It was no good and didn't finish it. The Italian ice we got wasn't too bad but also wasn't anything special and certainly nothing four or five stars. There are lots of great ice cream and milkshake places like Brewster's on a warm day than to settle for OK water ice.
I stopped here on my way to my in-laws with my husband and baby en tow. The staff was super friendly and their options are great! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to North East!

Really nice course, offered military discount. I am new to golf and enjoy not feeling rushed or having to play with people who are way better! This course Is a good one for me, though I have been told it's a little narrow. The bar at the clubhouse has great happy hour prices and the food looks really good, but I haven't tried any of it. I will def continue to golf for convenience and good customer service. I do wish they offered cart service on the course, but I understand it's a public course.

Bella Pizza

My family and I are on a road trip and stopped by for dinner. It's a quant spot, nothing too exciting about the decor but friendly staff. We all ordered garden salads that were nothing special. My aunt ordered lasagna which came bubbling hot and would easily feed 2. My father and uncle ordered spaghetti, one with meatballs the other with sausage. I ordered a small (11in) white pizza with spinach. My aunt and I agreed that for not being fans of red sauces it was a well done in house sauce. The only complaint my uncle made is that the dish was a bit watery but both boys said the seasoning was good. My pizza was good for a quick stop, the crust was on the thin side and not greasy. Im a huge fan of garlic so I think it could use a bit more but tasty none the less. There seemed to be a steady stream of customers and to go orders which is always nice to see for a local spot.
Husband & I are NY/NJ transplants now living in Harford County. We were in North East on vacation and wish we lived closer to Bella. This is the closest to NY pizza we've had since moving to MD! Owner is from Naples, not NYC, even better! We're also picky about Alfredo sauce but Bella's is fantastic! And try their creamy pesto sauce. Delish! Grandma's Pizza was highly recommended but didn't get a chance to try. Will be back now that we know it's here.
Very good Pizza. If you are from NJ or NY, this is getting closer to what we were used to. Thin crust Italian Style pizza. Gramma's pizza is delicious. We live in Elkton and go the extra few miles to get pizza from here, worth the trip. Also have tried a few meals which were pretty good. Not the best in the world but good flavors and cooked correctly. Calzones are good too!

Waffle House

Giving it four stars because my husband liked how quick we were seated and served on a busy Sunday morning. Sat at the counter (highly recommend) and were entertained by the quick and efficient cooks of our scrambled eggs, waffle, hash browns and toast. Our waitress served coffee and OJ in record time and the food was filled. Tip - Make sure to tell them exactly how you like your eggs (well done) and bacon (crispy) and toast (hard) and they will do it. Don't assume they know how you like your breakfast. Great location for those dropping off Scouts to Camp Rodney and heading north or south on Rte 40. Next time, getting hash browns smothered to go..
Oh yeah, hit this place up for breakfast and what a friendly crew as soon as you enter the door. Breakfast was great and the service was fast!
One of the first pit stops on my summer road trip. If I can open up one of these chains in the city, nothing will stop me! Unfortunately, the chain is established mostly in the south. Waffle House opens 24 hrs. for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast was unbelievable, delicious food and great coffee! Better food and prices are incredibly cheaper than IHOP. I had the eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. It was one of the best breakfast I've had in my life. And for dinner, a variety of choices any way you like it- burgers, chicken, etc. Whether it's sit down or to go, everything is made fresh right off the grill. The waitstaff are super friendly. In fact it's their motto for being friendly. That's a big plus on my book! Nothing like waking up to great breakfast and attentive servers. For those who have never been to one, it will change your outlook of a great meal at low prices!

Fast Eddie’s Pit Beef

I absolutely LOVE Fast Eddies. I can't comment on many of their dishes because out of the 20+ times I've been there, I've always got the same thing, "give me a #1 combo please"! Love their shaved pit beef sandwich and board walk fries. They have all the fixings too. Horseradish for by sandwich and vinegar and Old Bay for my fries! My only complaint is that they are so far from my house! Spend the extra $3 and go to Fast Eddies instead of some cheap fast-food chain, you WON'T be disappointed!
I got the bbq pork sandwich and my wife got the pit beef sandwich. We each ate half of both sandwiches and both were really really good. The prices were cheap, so this deserves a 5 stars. Note - make sure you put the bbq sauce on the sandwiches!
Poor time management for catering the order for 1200 is over an hour late and party has started. Brought out condiments, Cole slaw, and potato salad to sit in the heat when order wasn't ready had to tell them to keep in cooler until order was done. Pathetic will never use again

Great stuff. Beef wellington was perfect. Wine selection good. Coffee perfect. Decent dining area. Staff courteous and attentive. outdoor dining lacks ambience. Needs shade and more planting.
I have eaten here many many many times over the last 4 years. The food is extremely delicious and very consistent, and the drinks are always very well made. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. With that said a few of the servers over the years were not the best, but they were let go. In the town of North East there is not a cleaner, nicer, more consistent restaurant that puts out high quality delicious food.
With the reviews getting better on this establishment, we gave it a shot. Our first, and last shot. The service was incredibly slow. Drinks took 10-15 minutes, and not just alcoholic beverages. Items were missed from our order. We tried the calamari appetizer and were pleasantly surprised. The calamari was well seasoned, and the sauce which accompanied it was unique and good. I can't say whether it was a commercially produced sauce, but it was a unique pairing. The prices were a bit high for the area in my opinion. I am not familiar with the area enough to know what was in this location before, but the design of the restaurant is very strange. The walls are lined with shelves with liquor and wine. As other reviewers have stated, I assume the location doubles as a liquor store. Here is some advice.....If you are going to charge $20+ for an entree, don't double as a liquor store.

Captain Chris’ Crab Shack

Reviews:
Didn't get the crabs got steamed shrimp which had to rescue from the onions and peppers they were steamed with...i personally just want the shrimp toss the other stuff if someone is ordering shrimp! Mixed drinks were served in small plastic party cups not worth the $. I'll get beer next time. Live and learn. My friend got fish and chip basket. Fries were so-so not "fresh cut" as noted on menu. They said coleslaw was delicious though. Sidenote: had to deal with people smoking next to us...guess MD allows outside smoking...but it kinda ruins the meal experience.
Stopped there in a 90 degree day. Don't ever do that. No inside seating. Hot days will roast you.
Stopped by as my bf and I were hungey after a visit at Elk Neck State Park, our first visit to the area. Saw this place off the road and wanted to give it a try. The all you can eat crab/corn was $25 and after deciding that we wouldn't be able to eat enough crab to make it worth it, we decided to get the fish and chips, an order of Alaskan crab legs, and an order of fried shrimp. All were super delicious! The fries were eh but otherwise. Prices were good too. I think we paid we paid around $30 to 35 for those and we were stuffed. Seating is outdoor on picnic benches with umbrellas and covered with paper so you can be as messy as you want, worry free. And each table gets a big roll of paper towel too. Will definitely be back for the all you can eat. But next time I know to come hungry!

Reviews:
The food is decent and the pricing not too bad for the area. Pat's has gotten HUGE since I used to live there. I think there is over 50 Pat's now? Not too shabby. The pizza and pasta is good as always, as well as the subs last I was there. If you'll local I'm not telling you anything you don't know. I have no idea how consistant they are from place to place since I've only ever eaten at the one in Elkton and North East and both have always been good.
Nice place to eat, with decent food and a very clean, friendly atmosphere. Pizza was OK, salad was excellent. I just wish they had iced tea, beer and wine. I recommend this place if what you're after is a good, franchise style pizza restaurant.
Great place for a nice casual dinner. Good prices, not to expensive. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The staff was very nice. Modern clean atmosphere. Best of all, the food was excellent! Also, they make pretty good gluten free pizzas, which is not easy to find.

I can't agree more with the previous reviewer. This establishment could use a good cleaning and some updating. It is like walking into a restaurant that has not been updated in 20+ years. The pizza is great and we love that it is close to home. I wish they could try to clean and update the restaurant. I would definitely patronize them more. It is hard to eat here when Pat's is across the street and is recently rennovated and very clean.
The food was good, but they have a young staff that talked more among themselves then help guest. Not good for a group of people larger then 4, they only have a high back booths, no tables. The place was clean and the service was fast. A little pricey for what you get, but over all good deal.
Theirs not to many places that deliver in north east and I was tired of Pizza Hut and Domino's so I looked this place up. I must say I was impressed, I ordered a cheese steak and it wasn't bad left me wishing I ordered a large.
