Went there for lunch for the first time today and was really impressed. Everyone is extremely friendly and hooked up my to-go order in no time. At some point I'll have to check out the pit beef, but I'm totally satisfied with my ham sandwich and crab soup for now.
Third visit, this time the delicious chicken salad sandwich. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The staff are friendly, and the food is wonderful. Sounds like they're planning to expand the already impressive menu. Looking forward to the additions!
Have enthusiastically supported this newish local business- but $9 for 2 ice cream cones- 1 single scoop and 1 double scoop- is too much in my book!

While the reputation of this Baltimore County establishment has always been on the upside, I have to say we left with our $115 tab for two feeling rather disappointed. The patio setting was lovely, with strung lights and soft, background music. However, the food left much to be desired. The calamari was more breading and stringy pieces than the individual round pieces I'm accustomed to being served in other restaurants. And, when we were finished picking through it, we were left with a large pile of breadcrumbs as if they had just been dumped over top. I had the cedar planked salmon, which was mediocre and probably not as tasty as what I've had at TGIF. It may have also been slightly overcooked and was certainly not a portion size to warrant $25. My husband had the Manor burger, which looked okay. But, his accompanying chips were soggy. Our server was nice enough, bringing us bread in a to-go container at the end of our meal because we were never offered it during. But, there was a definite lag in between drinks being served. Overall, eh!
We made the mistake of going on father's day. We sat 2 hours and never saw our food. We were told it was coming I asked if I was coming ups or fed x. You would think that a business would prep for these holidays. It was a joke we left and will never go back again
A good friend of mine recommended we check this place out for brunch as he was such a huge fan. We made the long trek in the freezing pouring rain through windy roads for about 40 minutes (from Baltimore) through the middle of nowhere MD until we arrived...luckily I was so in love with the ambiance here, so I excused the treterious drive. Overall, I did think it was bit hard to find though... Anyway, upon arriving at the adorable tavern, I felt like George Washington walking into an old colonial like tavern, I was a huge fan. They sat us down right next to a beautiful, just lit fireplace informed us of $4 mimosas and $4 bloody mary's. We ordered some freshly made coffee and then I ordered the sandwich of the day, which was rockfish on whole grain bread with lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli, and fries (I substituted veggies for the fries at no extra cost). My friends ordered omelets and pancakes for the most part. The food itself was decent in my opinion, very homemade, but nothing I would rave about. I did think all of the ingredients were fresh (we were on a farm), My aioli was heavy on the mayo, but the fish was good. My mimosa was well worth the $4, huge glass, homemade orange juice. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive, fun, easy going, and made sure we were completely satisfied with our food and our time at the Manor Tavern. Before leaving I excused myself and walked around the Tavern for a bit...they have a really cool side room (hold 50-100 people) that you can rent out for parties, with a bar, and old colonial tables and chairs, and they also have a cute bar in the front that reminded me of when I go skiing. Overall, very quaint, local, comfortable, cozy, and filled with history, it was perfect for a cold, dreary January day.

One of the few places that will delivery to my place in Monkton. My boyfriend and I order from them about once every two weeks and they've never disappointed us. The pizza sub is DELISH and so is their pizza! It's a little different though, the dough tends to be sweeter, but nonetheless, it's consistently delicious.
This place has been at the same location for a long time. Still serves good pizza and subs.
Call me a pizza princess if you must, but, this place was AWFUL. Two slices and soda for nearly $7 - flabby, tasteless, and emitting frightening orange oilslick onto the foil. Go to the 7-11 next door instead!
