I guess this place gets great reviews because it's one of the few options in the Deep Creek area, but I was less than impressed. When we first walked in with our group of seven, we were welcomed by a surly hostess who proceeded to sigh loudly when she saw the size of our group, and then began to berate the bartender telling he he'd have to help wait tables because she was too busy. But to give credit where it's due, the bartender was great....very friendly and he did a pretty good job of taking care of us. As for the food, it was just mediocre. The Asian chicken wrap was actually pretty tasty, but the Thai skewers were a bit bland and the chicken was dry. The wings (which we'd been told were the best in the county) were just OK, nothing special. But I guess for the location, it was OK. After eating, we decided to try out some of the games. Here again is where the bartender was a gem......he shared with me that by buying one of their game cards, I'd actually get enough of a bonus to practically get our meal for free, which was great and earned him a nice tip! But then we headed out to mini-golf, which is where the chaos ensued. First of all, there was nobody manning the mini-golf section, so we had to go across the parking lot to the laser tag area to pay for our golf. The course was very crowded, with lots of rude people pushing their way past who didn't want to wait for you to finish the hole. Then we moved on to the go-karts, where the guy working apparently thought he was a state trooper....sucked the fun right out of it. It's called a raceway, so why yell at people for going fast? Isn't that the idea? Finally, we decided to go inside and get some ice cream. They had ONE person working the ice cream counter, and there was a line at least 10 people deep. And the person working the counter was in no rush to move it along. We ended up leaving without the ice cream and going to the ice cream shop near the grocery store instead. Maybe the employees just get tired of dealing with vacationers, or maybe my expectations were just too high, but Smiley's was not the highlight of our trip in my opinion.

Food unexpectedly good for a place with go karts. The kids were happy, service was good. I would go back if in town for vaca again.

Good food service and fun. Wings and cheese fries were top notch when I was there. The atmosphere is one that is family oriented ad arcade games, go carts, mini golf are also attractions at the restaurant. Sat on the deck with a great view of the lake and the golf course. Had a great overall experience and will definitely be returning.

Apparently this place is supposed to be the bomb.com for wings, boneless included, but when you get them, it looks like meat ripped off the bone and then fried. It almost looks like General Tso's chicken with no sauce, so just Tso's, no general. The mozzarella sticks were good, the pizza was good in comparison to the shitty "buffalo wings." The fries were as limp as a flacid penis.

Our family stopped at Smiley's after an exhausting day at Wisp's outdoor challenge park. Needless to say, we were all hungry, sweaty, and dirty...perfect ingredients for some pizza! Yes, Smiley's is an amusement-a-rhia. Part amusements, part pizzeria. Like a good mullet, all business upstairs, all party for kids downstairs. Typical deal where you buy a card with cash on it, swipe to play, and points/credits are loaded on the card so you can redeem them and keep the Chinese economy in good shape. Kids had a blast, but we stuck to arcade games...didn't try the 2 go-cart tracks, mini-golf, laser tag, or batting cages. Go carts were around $6-8 per ride, laser take was $6 per game, etc. Certain game/ride packages are available on different nights of the week. We sat upstairs at a booth overlooking the lake and ordered a large half pepperoni, a small chicken buffalo, and nachos for appetizers. Nachos were decent; pizza with pepperoni was good, and the buffalo pizza was decent, but maybe not as good as the regular pizza. Everyone was happy, ate well, and offered no complaints. Service was solid. Drinks were kept refilled, and the nachos came out quickly to stave off the initial hunger pangs. All told, I'll throw 4 stars for the food, atmosphere, service. Here's the kicker, and the reason for the 5th star: we are in town as part of Believe in Tomorrow's respite vacation at their house at Wisp. Believe in Tomorrow gives families of children with cancer or life-threatening diseases a time out, a respite, a vacation- call it what you will- and local companies pitch in make the stay even better. Wisp, fwiw, let us ride/play all day, fully complimentary. Thanks. AND SO DOES SMILEY"S. They offer families like ours free drinks, appetizer, and pizza...and $13 in games. So, a big THANK YOU to Smiley's. This is a good organization, doing something worthy, offering us a meal and some games in their restaurant. Way to be cool.

I don't eat meat and was very very satisfied with their veggie burger , Louisiana Po'Boy, and the crabs ms macaroni and cheese bake. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the broccoli and cheese soup I received on the side of my bake. On each occasion I received my order by delivery. The delivery man was very polite and helpful when he forgot an item I had ordered. A friend of mine has been to the restaurant. They said that sit in dining has larger proportion size. Over all I am very happy with my experiences with Smileys!

We were staying at the Blue Moon Rising and had to find a place to get pizza on Valentine's Day as the wait anywhere else was ungodly. Wasn't expecting much but was I wrong! The Pizza crust was a little crispy, yet chewy and sweet. Not so much cheese that it was overpowering but just enough and with a wonderful flavor. Got the Beer Battered Fries which really hit the spot. Just as surprising was my Wife's Veggie Burger which was cooked just right, perfect toppings and seasonings. Will absolutely order from here again.

Brought our kids. Most of the games are not working. Spent $100 for $150 card. It's just OK.

What a great afternoon! Our family stopped by over our spring break. We were in the true 'off season' for Deep Creek. When we arrived, we discovered that only the bar was open. Upon seeing the disappointed faces of our three girls, the staff managed to find someone to 'open it up'. Our girls spent HOURS playing everything from duck pin bowling, to laser tag, to bumper cars, to the wide selection of games. The game area was quite clean and in great working order. We even managed to get in a game of mini-golf before the weather turned! The ice cream was great and the full bar really topped off the afternoon. I would like to acknowledge the staff. The team members of Smiley's were excellent and really made us feel welcome. They truly went out of their way to make our afternoon special. I would highly recommend planning to spend some time at Smiley's while at Deep Creek!

Ordered from here because it was the only place that would deliver to the hotel I was at. Ordered a cheese pie, it was very disgusting. Most frozen pizzas were better than this. The quesadilla was at least edible.

While the staff was nice and let our kids run around since the place was empty (maybe due to off season? We were there on a Friday afternoon early September), the food was less then wonderful. The pizza tasted like it was pulled out of the freezer and heated up. We ordered a total of 24 wings. 6 wings cost $5.99 and the. You add anywhere from $1.75-$3.25 depending on the sauce you want. Crazy crazy pricey! Thought they would be the largest, tastiest wings ever for that price. Nope! Average size and hardly any sauce at all. Below impressed. Maybe they actually cook better during high season time. Not going back there anytime soon.

I have a lot of friends who frequent Smiley's so that their kids can play and have a good time. I kept getting out of going there, but I have a toddler now and even though there isn't much for him to play with (little playground outside) at least it is very kid-friendly. I was really pleasantly surprised! Everyone in my party got sandwiches, and they were all great! Particularly, the Spicy Thai wrap and the chicken cheesesteak. The prices are fair, if not, quite low for DCL, burgers were $5.99 with chips. They also have free wifi. As for the activities, they have go karts, arcade games and mini golf. They do have a day pass for $32 which is pretty steep for not much more than a beefed up arcade. Oh, and they also have their own Lakeside Creamery inside, so no waiting in lines on Rt. 219! Overall I really enjoyed it and the service was fantastic!

Service was good, but the pizza was literally the most tasteless thing I have had in my life. it is unimaginable how this is rated 4 stars by some.

First weekend after wisp closed for the season 20 guys descend on Deep Creek lake for bachelor party. Lady-less fun ensues most of which I can not speak about(ahem, bribes are accepted) We head to Smileys and play some laser tag. Much fun running into the room without a vest or gun scaring your friends. Also fun when the lights go out and you're in the pitch dark - except for the red lasers and glowing vests. And then there's mini golf. So what it rained the night before and half the course is flooded, the ball rolls none-the-less(note mini golf balls do not float) They also have one of those punching bags where you hit it as hard as you can and see what number you can rack up. The cute girl behind the counter even joined in the fun, got her running start and hit harder than some of the guys. Note: It is possible to round house kick the punch bag and record a score. We didn't try the food, BBQ at the house! ps - 5 stars taking into account what else is nearby. Any closer to "civilization" and I'd knock off a few stars. just sayin'

It might be crazy to say, but SMiliey's pizza was great. Now I wouldnt make a special trip to Deep Creek Lake just for this pizza, but I will definately order it next time I am there.

Came here for pizzas during a retreat. Was told that this place had some great pizzas and some games. Got there. Looked like a so-so place with an arcade and laser tag place located downstairs. Didn't look inviting. Pizzas were alright. This place is a simple pizzeria. Nothing unforgettable.

Went here so the kids could play laser tag on a rainy day. Expensive: $8 per person for 8 min and you can only go once per hour, even if you opt for $32 "all day" pass. Space is small and obstacles not very interesting. Equipment was flakey. We didn't try the pizzeria. 1 of the kids says it only deserves a half a star.
