Nando’s Peri-Peri Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

What was marinated for 24 hours again? Oh yeah, that's right; the chicken. I didn't even notice. Don't get me wrong, it was cooked tender and my grilled skin was packed with flavor, though not crisp (the way I prefer it). My side of fries, sprinkled with Peri seasoning, were just okay. I sat outside, because the weather was perfect and sunny. Not once did anyone offer to refill my drink. Back and forth/inside/outside I went, to refill my drink. When I inquired about the sauces I'd seen and the types, the cashier was not very informative and the hostess/waitress/bus person (all one person), who was glued to a corner in the restaurant (waiting to bus a table), said help yourself. She was friendly, by the way, just lacking good customer service skills. I was kinda hoping she'd help me carry some outside. So, I got the drink and placed it on my table outside. Then, I went back inside to grab some sauces. Employees saw me come and go and come and go and no one offered to help. Mediocre food and inexperienced service - I will not be coming back. On second thought, I did like the Peri Peri Garlic sauce. If this is a condiment sold in the restaurant, I would be back to purchase it. A spunky sauce with heat, garlic and zip!

The atmosphere and experience around the food is nice. Its not something i could say about its food because the wings and 1/4 leg i ordered came out cooled down, and skeptically pink. Also the flavor, albeit "marinated for 24 hours", was bland, and boring. The sides were the only part of the meal I enjoyed, and my wife came to the same conclusion. Overall... Roasted chicken here doesnt have a place for me :(. And my place is down the street a mile or two (the locals might know what im talking about) But the customer service is great.

The customer service is horrible. My family and I went there the other night and the chicken was under cooked and we had to wait an extra long to try to get another piece of chicken so it was getting late and we just decided to get our money back and we had to fight just to get that.

I'm a Nando's fan First! The new location is very nice and will give Laurel, Md. something that has been missing for a long time. If the management can keep this level of professionalism going this venue will be in the top five in the Washington, D.C. area. Here you have the option to have dinner first then a movie at the new Regal Cinema or vise-verse.

Pretty good customer service, attentive staff. And of course the brand chicken is great!

Good chicken but expensive. I can eat a whole chicken on my own and I am still hungry. Try extra Spicy

Bring on the macho peas! I swear, if my mom had served such succulent and flavorful green spheres of perfection, I would've been asking for seconds instead of being subjected to the dreaded "three bite rule" (I think all moms have this rule). I know Nando's is about chicken, but I'm just here for those herbaceous, slightly spicy peas. Ahem. I'm generally meh about chain restaurants, but Nando's has it goin' on. Chicken, all sorts of sauces and spice levels, and some delicious sides (besides the peas). I'm a fan of the chicken livers, and the country salad (which includes grilled halloumi cheese - yum!). The soda fountain dispenses dozens of different drinks (the combinatorics are staggering), and the iced tea is great. There's even soft serve! I also love the atmosphere at this location, it's the nicest I've been to. The music is awesome, I love the baskets hanging from the ceiling, and it's just a comfy place to nosh on some peas.

I was so excited to try this place, I heard SO many good reviews. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. I went in and did a to-go order, the guy was very helpful when I was trying to decide on a meal, but the food was just not good. I got the chicken with sides and it was seriously the smallest piece of chicken I've ever had----especially for the price! It wasn't seasoned well, and the sauces weren't good either. I was so disappointed. I'm not sure if this was just a bad day or the usual but I wont waste my time or money finding out.

First time ever having Nando's today. The garlic bread is amazing!!!! I got a chicken wrap and my BF got the 1/4 chicken breast. We were so amazed by the food there. Portions are a little bit small but definitely satisfying and tasty! It was also very clean inside, everyone that worked there was pretty friendly!

In my time in restaurants, I have experienced service that runs the gamut from atrocious to princely. However, I have rarely received service like that from Gerald. Friendly, respectful, attentive, and even, dare I say it, wise, he is the epitome of professionalism. Gerald is the gold standard for what restaurant service should be. He is the reason I am such a loyal customer. I love Nando's, and it's Gerald's attention to detail and his friendly, outgoing, and meticulously exacting care that equals the marvelous cuisine, and keeps me coming back. When I think of Nandos, I think of Gerald. When I think of Gerald, I think of the golden rule in action.

I've always liked Nando's! I was able to be adventurous by ordering the corn as a side dish. What I did was adding the medium peri peri sauce and it was the best decision I've made!!! Of course the chicken was great and I was able to try some wings... Talk about epic!!!

Absolutely delicious tender, juicy and flavorful Peri Peri seasoned chicken. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. If you haven't had Nandi's Peri Peri chicken, you are missing out.

The atmosphere is unique and pleasant. If you like spicy food, its great. Might avoid it if you don't though. We went when it first opened and you could tell they really cared about their service and making a great first impression.

This review is after my second visit to this establishment, the first being take-out and then this visit was a sit-down. My first visit included a 1/4 chicken dark with a side of the Portuguese Rice and I happen to parlay a couple different Peri-peri sauces/ marinades and was pleasantly please with the outcome. I mixed in a little Medium Hit Peri-peri with my rice to give it a little kick and I put in a little too much. Go sparingly with those of you have never tried them. My second visit included a 1/4 chicken white with a side of the Portuguese Rice and Mashed Taters. Also decided to try some Peri-peri wings. I must say the white meat is so much better for dipping with the sauces/marinades than the dark meat. The rice was on point again, but the taters could have used quite a bit of seasoning as they were pretty bland. Finally the wings, well I could have passed on those because they had absolutely no seasoning at all. I will pass on those from here on out. Other than the food, the place is very nice and well designed with the exception of the throw pillows in the booths. They actually are quite annoying should you need to leave the booth for any reason. One other thing, if you over a soft drink from the self serve machine, opt for a plastic cup versus a glass cup as they did not seem to be very clean at all!

Nope, won't be going back. I'm just not used to that style of eating. Not the food, but the process of getting it. So we went to the restaurant and waited to be seated...whelp, just seat yourself. Waited for a waiter...nope, not gonna come; so we went to the counter and had to order there & thought that it would be smart to take the food back to the table with us...uh-uh; "someone will bring it to you". Geese, just give me the food already, & I hope you don't expect a tip cause I still had to get back up to get my drink, & utensils. What's the point to all of this? & the food wasn't that good. I had the chicken mango & lime wrap. It just had too much lime in it so the whole experience left me a little bitter.

So very sadd. I picked my daughter up from school for a night of relaxing after a week of finals. Nandos is her fav....well it was. I really don't know what is happening with the nandos franchise lately, but it is really going down hill pretty fast. Our food was absolutely burnt. When I say burnt, that's what Mean!!!! They are only getting two stars because eventually after much squawking the manager finally came over and pretended to care. Right! Nandos, people don't have millions and millions of dollars to wait for you to fix a good meal - or at least a satisfactory meal. They will take their money elsewhere. Please get it together BEFORe you wind up being another restaurant that everyone "used" to dine in.

I'd been hearing all about Nando's from my friends that went to the UK locations. "The chicken!" "Dat sauce doe!" "Dem endless sauces doe!" You get the idea. So I jumped on the chance to pay a visit when I was in the area. This Nando's is a nicely decorated fast-casual restaurant. The staff were chill enough to seat me 10 minutes before closing time and offered assistance when I clearly had no idea what to do. Leave your stuff at the table, then order at the cash register right in front of the entrance when you're ready. Plenty of chicken (of course), but there are also a decent amount of vegetarian options from the menu I saw. I chose a Flame-Grilled Chicken Breast with a side of Red Skin Mashed Potato (recommended by the cashier). Most chicken entrees come with a free side. The next counter you meet is a hot sauce altar. Rows of Nando's sauces arrange themselves like Deal or No Deal suitcase models. Pick one, pick them all - this location doesn't seem to sell the sauces so this is your chance to stock up on Peri-Peri goodness. If you're really desperate, you can pack some to go. The side shows of this counter are a sink (for chicken wing fingers?), fro-yo machine, napkins and utensils. At the end is a big fancy drink dispenser, which also has an unassuming button for water. When my food was finally delivered, I was kind of shocked by how little $12 got me. I wasn't expecting slices from giant chickens, but even with the mashed potatoes there was so much blank space on that plate Taylor Swift could have written another song. I have to confess the chicken is one of the best I've ever eaten, if a little over-cooked, but the potatoes made the complete opposite impression by being a pile of almost flavorless mush. I probably put more sauce over the potatoes than the chicken, then gave up. Where are the claimed bits of "chunky potatoes"? Being located in a new shopping plaza, at least the premises are nice and vibrant. I enjoyed looking at the giant paintings and colorful lights in between bites and could see little evidence of wear and tear on my cushy booth seat. However, one of two things must happen before I come back: I develop an insatiable addiction to chicken and hot sauce, or Nando's matches their portion sizes with the $ signs.

I love Nando's Always great food. And I feel there is something for everyone. Always great decor. Always great music. The three stars are not for the food. But lets talk about the service. I went here this past Saturday night 1/10/15. Seemed like there was a lot of playing around with in the employee. People coming just to speak to folks behind the counter. There was a girl sweeping, just utterly and completely unhappy to be at work I watched 3 different people ask her for something and she shrugged and pointed. I ordered the garlic sticks to come out as an app. Our meals came out first I had to go ask for them. The server grabs an order of sticks ... I bit into them of course they were cold. I mention this and it seemed to be a bit of a problem that I was complaining. I mean nothing was said to me, but just the reaction and the snatching of the plate from the table. Im saying I have been to at least 4 other Nando's multiple times and this one just lacked in the environment that surrounds you and I can only blame that on the service.

Best Nando's I've experienced in Maryland and I've been to quite a few. Hot, cooked perfectly, moist, sauced and tasted great. Nice vibrant interior. Great service. It was busy, there was a band in the median/road. Still got served quickly. Fries were hot & crispy.

The location of this restaurant is wonderful! New development, more stores coming, a movie theater, 24 hr Harris Teeter....trust me when I say this time next year that shopping center is going to be one of the main places to get some good shopping and eating in. I have been to quite a few Nando's Peri Peri locations and as always I was not disappointed! The ambience was relaxing BUT it did get a little noisy. If you can tone that out your are good to go. We sat in one of the moon shaped booths in the back and it was a great spot for my family of 4. There were throw pillows on the chairs..very comfy. From the cheerful hostess, to the waitress that tended to our table the customer service was impeccable! I have no complaints at all. The gentleman at the cash register...I'm sorry I didn't get his name because he was awesome! Took time to explain the menu to my mother and made sure she got everything she wanted just as she wanted #awesome I ordered 1/4 chicken with red mashed potatoes and garlic bread sticks. OMG the breadsticks were perfect! Soft garlicky center (but not mushy) and crispy outside #mouthwatering The chicken was super moist, I love that the charcoal taste is like the kick to there great seasoning. I manage to get this dish every time I go. :-) I didn't get the Sangria at this location but I can imagine that it's just as delicious as it is at the other locations. Definitely worth giving it a try if you like Sangria My mom ordered the same thing I got but she also got a side order of mixed nuts. Between her munching quickly on them and mumbling how good they were I got the point that they were pretty tasty lol! She also ordered the side mixed green salad and added olives. It was super fresh and very good! She ate it before I got a chance to take a picture lol My daughter always orders the chicken caesar salad with lemon and herb chicken...One word YUMMY!! Have you been to this place yet?? If not GO! And don't forget to order the bread sticks! :-)

Winner winner chicken dinner! Went to Nando's with two friends for their housewarming event and we couldn't have asked more more. Literally, we even took the leftovers home:p When we arrived to Nando's, there were servers everywhere, ready to seat us, take our order with no wait at the cashier's line, and help answer any questions we had! As part of their event, we were allowed to order any entree and drink for free! I ordered the lemon and herb flavored chicken with the Peri-peri fries and mashed potatoes and boy was I a happy camper. All the flavors were intensely strong and when combined with other sauces, I was mind blown. My favorite was the garlic sauce. My friend also ordered the macho peas (mashed peas) which was the perfect vegetable side to the chicken. Ever had a pot pie with mashed peas on top? This was better. BOY, and if that wasn't enough, they said we could also get an appetizer, a drink (sans alcohol), and a dessert! We ordered the 6 wings in medium hot sauce for the appetizer, and Portuguese egg tarts. Wish the tarts were warm, but the crispiness of outside shell was still baked to a golden perfection. I ordered the cappuccino was was sub par to other cappuccinos, but still enjoyable. AND WE HAD BOTTOMLESS FROZEN YOGURT. To top it all off, this Nando's is located in a newly developed Laurel town center where there is a Harris Teeter, movie theatre, a Tutti Frutti and many more restaurants and stores set to open this 2014.

When I saw Steve Raichlen recreate the signature chicken on Primal Grill, I had to give the new local version a try, even though it is in the parking challenged Towne Centre at Laurel. Peri-peri is actually the name of the chili, similar to a Thai bird, and about the Scoville level (based on tasting the sauces while waiting for the food to arrive) of a Serrano. You can choose from 5 levels of spice. Medium had a nice scalp sweating kick, just right for this fan of Thai and Korean food. The recipe and original restaurant originated with Portuguese in East Africa, but the decor and music seemed more Brazilian to me. They have adopted the newly popular format of pay at the counter and have the food run to the table. To me this meant waiting in line an traditional time to order and pay. The Nandocas' Choice sounded good: "A whole butterflied Peri-Peri chicken breast served on garlic bread and topped with our crunchy house-made coleslaw." It turned out to be a smallish sandwich - see photo. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were fresh and nicely fried. Still, that didn't seem like much food for $11.75, especially compared to Sardi's where that would get you a half chicken and two sides and a fountain drink and no upcharge for spicy mayo to dip the fries. Portuguese beer was quite nice. Four restrooms, all labeled Unisex. Summing up, pretty good food but not a good value. I might stop in for happy hour prices if I was in the area, but would not seek them out again for a regular meal.

I enjoyed my chicken and macho peas. It was spicy like I expected. My wife tried to order some stuff that wasn't spicy and hers was too spicy for her. She doesn't like spicy food though. Great place for me, but her not so much. My two year old son didn't like the peas or squash and he usually eats everything. I will be back though and next time probably try some wings.

Have been to other Nando's, and While the food is decent, this is not a relaxing experience. Customer service is almost non existent. The sign at the door asks you to wait to be greeted and seated, you are barely greeted and are handed menus and pointed in the direction of your seat. It is obvious that the employees are more interested in their own socializing than customer service. Will not return to this location

Was OK-. Seen better in flavor and aroma. Next time I have to bring Rock salt for my taste level. Thought chkn was too dry and flavorless without the sauces. The bread was good plus the corn (have it shuck'd ). I'd prefer the grilled Cuban corn with mayo and cheese.

Two stars only because I experienced ten seconds of sympathy for the manager. The problem here is the appalling service. When we entered the line out the door had no idea what to do, and the staffer working the door looked like a cat interupted from her nap. Apparently the operating principle is that you are seated with menus, then you get up and order from the counter. It falls apart when the staff don't greet customers, customers don't have menus or tables. When the person taking our order asked when the table number was, we stared at her dumbfounded. We randomly chose a free table, and then the party in front of us were irritated that we stole their table... So we wait at our pirated table for our food. Five minutes after the delivery of a needed sangria we realize that the olive appetizer was never provided during checkout. Go dig out the receipt and go find a human. Human never asks to see receipt and hands over green olive bowl. Having to remind staff to do their job is taking its toll on our dining experience, and the throbbing bad music is taking its toll on our party's mood. About ten minutes later food is unceremoniously dropped off. Oh, can we get silverware? "It's over there", is always the response in 'fast casual' places. I go over to the counter with the silverware, but there are no knives. None. Ask. "Oh, they're coming", says one person. Sit and wait. Of course, everyone in our party has ordered meat, on the bone, which is really appalling to eat without knives... If we wanted to go to MidEvil Times, we would have. We wait several minutes. No knives appear. Ask for the manager. It's Gerald, and he's working the line. I let him know it's been a disaster since we entered, but Gerald starts sweating profusely and complaining that half his staff called out. He asks for our table number so he can stop by. Several minutes later: knives appear! We see five other dinners literally jump out of their chairs to get a chance to eat their food in a civilized manner. We grab our necessary cutlery, and I'm disappointed that they are stone cold. The knives were not recently in the dishwasher, it's just that they can't manage the restaurant correctly. We eat our cold food. Its mostly flavored with heat, not spice, but at least the chicken is seared thoroughly. My overall impression is that the noise and the heat are overwhelming everything else. For 45 bucks for 3 people, it just seems skimpy. Gerald never stops by our table to complete the experience. I guess he just asked for our table number to get me to go away. I'll oblige.

Great location in laurel across from Regal movies. Service very friendly and fast. Only reason I do not give it 5 stars is you take someone with you and they do not want to eat chicken they are out of luck. The food is healthy, fast , and taste good.

The new expansion of Nando's in Laurel Center is a welcomed addition. The food and service are solidly good. The grilled chicken has a lot of flavor and the hummus with the drizzle pepper oil is a great starter. My only reservation is that I wish the extra hot had more heat. I usually eat at the Nando near Dupont Circle and their sauce seems hotter to me.

delicious! nando's peri-peri has yet to let me down, including this one! thanks to annie t, we were here at their house-warming, which means free food + great service! we had their chicken wings and half a chicken entree which were all good as expected. and their wall of sauces did not disappoint, with plenty of bottles to go around and definitely delicious. we also had their mashed peas (macho peas.. i really really enjoyed this), "chips" and peri-naise dip (essentially fries and spiced up mayo on the side), and mashed potatoes (not a chunky mashed potato, not silken, think a little thicker than silken but still smoothly mashed with the right amount of butter and garlic..). and we even tried their dessert! we had the eggtart, which was delicious! i wish we could've gotten more =P the decor was modern and fun, consistent with other nando's. staff was ALL very friendly and helpful, very happy. i hope they keep that up! the plaza it's in is really new and looks to be still under construction with some stores open (old navy, frutti tutti, noodles & co., and now nando's). I definitely can't wait to see how this plaza will turn out! definitely looks to have great potential and i can definitely imagine the nando's to be packed, especially with plentiful parking ( .. for now). can't wait to come back! =)

I won't be back!! I've gone to the one in Arundel Mills many times and the service is excellent. This place has poor customer service. The employees seem uninterested in they're jobs. It took them a while to acknowledge is standing at the door. My husband and I and our kids were ready to eat good food and get out in a timely manner. Well, my leg quarter was undercooked. Tendons showing that iridescent shine of rawness. I told the waiter and he was confused as what to do. He said he would be right back. Came back and took the chicken. We waited and waited and finally asked what's the hold up. Well he says they ran out of chicken and need 10-15 more mins for more. What!?! I go to the manager. The manager is immediately not friendly. He says it's going to take 10 mins and he didn't know about the situation. Ok well now you know. I said we need to go, we have young kids and its late. So he asks if anything was wrong with my other sides. Ummm no but I couldn't enjoy my meal waiting for chicken. So he gives me a refund of $9 and we leave. I contacted corporate and they were very apologetic and said they would handle it. That shouldn't have been necessary. Oh and I almost forgot my husband ordered wings and his were undercooked and unusually large. It was freaky. I will go to Arundel Mills.

Great service and great food in a great new location - it doesn't get much better than that! The wife and I recently came here as part of their soft opening and we were treated to a nice meal for free. Thank you, Nando's! I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a side of their rice and mashed peas. We started with the hummus as an appetizer and also tired the garlic breadsticks, both of which were delicious and the perfect size for an appetizer - not too small, but not so big that we couldn't eat our yummy dinner. The chicken was delicious and I love that you can try multiple sauces and bring them to your table to create your own unique flavor combination. The mild hot sauce was pretty hot, but also was sweet and tangy which made for a nice after taste. You can tell this is a new location because the service is so great. All the staff seemed really excited to be there and were warm and welcoming. I look forward to coming back soon and trying some new things on the menu.

Tried the 1/4 dark chicken, hot spice level, chicken livers, mashed peas and the butternut squash/corn mix. The Good: Chicken was juicy and had decent flavor, but not overly spiced. The mashed peas were nothing special, but not bad. The Bad: Was horribly grossed out due to a hair in the squash/corn mix and something that looked like either a fingernail or a piece of plastic in the livers. Mentioned this to the guy who took my order and he just shrugged it off. This completely turned me off from eating any more of my meal. I've eaten at other Nando's, and this was by far the worst experience I've had with this chain. It's a shame because I was looking forward to having a Nando's near my job to go to. I won't be returning to this location.

Overpriced. Not enough food for the money. I had 2 chicken legs, fries, and a drink and my total was over 14 dollars. At sardis I can get the same meal with an extra side order for only 11 dollars!!!! Also sardis chicken is way better/more flavorful!!!

  • Jim S.

I would easily give Nando's five stars but the noise level is really bad. Why do companies go to so many hard surfaces? It amplifies the sound level and makes it uncomfortable for guests. The food is absolutely delicious. The chicken is moist and tender, the peas were very tasty, and the corn is moist and flavorful. There is a very large selection of drinks to choose from. Beer and chicken were made for each other and this chicken is no exception. The service and cleanliness was top notch, far better than would be expected at this level. I will happily go back again.

I don't really go to Nando's too often, but their food is pretty flavorful. I think it's a little overpriced for the portion they give you. Most times I get the chicken wrap and I swear there are only like 6 small cubes of chicken in there! I like the dressing and sauce they put on it and I normally add some garlic sauce from the table. Fries are great even without ketchup, but sometimes can be a little over seasoned. Their sangrias are really good too. There isn't anything really different about this location compared to others. They're really all the same. I just picked this one to write a review on because they ALWAYS have cute guys in there. Workers and patrons ;)

While the employees behind the register were not very attentive or helpful, the hostess and the guys delivering the food to the table were very pleasant and friendly. The chicken was surprisingly delicious and the macho peas were a nice change from the usual veggie choices available elsewhere. I look forward to returning and trying more of their sauces since there were too many to try in one visit. Nando's is a welcome addition to Laurel and I hope they remain for a long time.
