My experience at your restaurant, I was totally DISGUSTED with the entire dining experience to be totally honest. First we sat by the ice cream machine, where we were met with dust flying from the waitress sweeping the floor while customers were dining, so we moved to another location. Finally we go to the food bar to get something to eat, but there was NO FOOD, maybe because it was all over the floor due to children fixing their own plates, dropping food everywhere, the place was a PIGSTY now granted it was lots of folks celebrating graduation and it was busy that night and I thought about that, but my previous dining experience there was for my sons 8th grade gradation, it was also packed but the restaurant was managing the crowds, plenty of food, desserts,etc....on this night I saw people lined at the bar just to get their first plate, I made my way from the far left by the salad down the line to the deserts, and the first run I got 2 pieces of chicken that had just ironically come out, and boy were they YUMMY, I tried to get the hush puppies as the were coming out, but OH NO the cook spilled them in the water that warms the food, Oh yea he left them to...never the entire night did I see sweet potatoes my favorite of you'lls, I was tempted to get the ribs, but was turned off by the heavyset repair guy that was leaning into the ribs, showing his carpenters crack YUCK, did I say he was sweating profusely, it took me a minute to see that he was working on the grill or oven, but why during dining hours, turned off, I headed back to my seat with those two pieces of chicken and some cold Mac and Cheese , it was a lot, but cold as HELL....to discover the other 2 diners had no food on their plates either, so I waited for 10-15 min to return to see if any other foods had made it to the bar and I was met with a line again I see several people waiting for chicken and other things to carry out and was told the waits were 30-45 minutes for fresh foods, in the meantime the food that is being put out is half cooked, yeast rolls doughy, hush puppies underdone there were some veggies so after going trough the running back and fourth I got a salad, pickles OLD, lettuce wilted with lots of water sitting in the bowls there were no toppings, so I was through, done, so angry I got what looked eatable, because some of the food looked like people were experiencing in the kitchen with their own recipes, the deserts were up there so long under the heat lamps, they started looking like PROP food? I returned to my seat. Never did I see a manager come out to see about people's dining experience or to check to see how everything is running, poor Management, I wanted my $45.73 back, maybe the show UNDERCOVER BOSS could do a pop up at some of you'lls establishments so you can see how things are being POORLY run .......oh last but not least wiping table after table, sticking your damp rag back into a plastic bag and stuffing it in your apron is NOT sanitary at all. Sincerely GG "Hungry Diner"

4th of July weekend, food poisoning for 2 days. Luckily, our waitress was nice. Seriously needs to review sanitation policy in this place.

This place really SUCKS, food on the floor, kids running around unattended kids just reaching for food not using the forks at the buffet, grown people just CUT the line like they to good to wait like everyone else this place is SAD, I will NEVER go back SMH

Fun spot to go to with the family, especially if you have a group of picky eaters. There is a vast selection to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. Common sense knowledge - you get what you pay for. I do recommend their yams n ribs. My only complaints is that they need to keep the trays more filled and warmer. They do tend to leave the food out a little too long. Lastly, My last complaint and only real complaint is they have extremely poor condition restrooms - filthy and doors do not have lock handles and lack of soap to wash your hands and get those ribs off your fingers lol. Otherwise, most staff is very pleasant.

NEVER AGAIN!! I have tried this GC probably about 10 times and out of all those times the food has always been just ok. However, I have realized that they have gone down tremendously each time. Customer service is just HORRIBLE!! The steak is hardly ever ready and when you ask for medium they NEVER have it. You always have to get well done or just "rubber" cause that's how tough it is. I just simply do not like this location and will drive to VA if I have to in order to avoid this place. Also, there is almost always a line at this place and for the life of me I just can't figure out why!! *Proceed with Caution*

Good for what it offers. Food is decent. Staff (select ones) is friendly. Place is always packed with running children and unattentive parents. Chef that grills steak is rude- won't smile or great you. If he does say something it's "whut chu want". Cashier guy with the locks is awful as well. Very rude towards senior couple in front of us. They did nothing wrong. Overall if you just want to be fat, it's an ok place to go. If you're in for a more rewarding meal and experience, head to Kobe's. They're just a short walk away.

Ladies and Gentleman we have a flawed brand. I don't know what has happened maybe we walked in on training day for every newbie they had. The food was subpar the service what little it was needed to be in the emergency room on life support. Its definitely not the same establishment I visited before. I sincerely hope they fix whatever is broken.

Good home-style food and family atmosphere is what I get every time! No matter what type of good you like, you'll be satisfied. Services and managers go out of their way to make your experience a good one.

Disgusting!!! 45-minutes wait to get an Omelette. Only 1 chef on Labor Day. The line stretched to the back of the restaurant and the manager could care less.

It wouldn't be fair if I compared Golden Corral to all of the other restaurants that I've been to. So, I will give the benefit of comparing it to buffets only. With that said...it was less than mediocre. Firstly, the only edible non-poultry selection they had was the pot roast. It was Sunday afternoon, and all they had was pot roast? There was measly, over-breaded popcorn shrimp, but that surely was not an entree dish. The steak was blood red and not even seasoned. The rest of the food was "Meh. I've experienced better". Hence, the two stars. The service at the entry counter was not the greatest, but the servers in the dining room were courteous. My take: save your $$ and go elsewhere...possibly outside of this run down shopping center.

For the life of me I cannot understand why this place is so popular. Lord forbid if you choose to patronize it on a weekend... it's absolute insanity. Sunday afternoon, I make my way there and the line is already touching the door; it's moving, but rather slowly, so it takes about 15 minutes to make our way to the cashier and get seated. First off, the prices are ridiculous for what you'll receive (and they jack them up on the weekend, basically charging the dinner price ALL DAY!) so two people, with drinks is easily running you $30. The food itself, though there is a ton of it, is mediocre at best. But be prepared to fight for this mediocrity! On more than one occasion I was bumped, knocked out the way, or pushed for some food that I was in no rush to get in the first place. The staff was courteous and friendly but it just didn't seem to be enough of them. The food stations were constantly riddled with spills and debris and the waitress for our table was barely able to provide us with drink refills since she was so overwhelmed. I understand that buffets can be hit or miss and this one is definitely a miss. Next time I'll search for another option.

I don't ever voluntarily choose to come here, but only do when I've got my crew of 6 boys and I need an inexpensive place to feed these hungry heathens... LOL. The food is just ok and could definitely be better. Its always so packed in here and I believe the only reasons my boys come here is for the Cotton candy.

Really enjoyed the southern food options on my last lunch visit. Place had pretty fresh and properly cooked food. I haven't been disappointed yet at any GC that I've been too so I'm not sure why people have bad reviews for some of them. I'll be back for sure.

(Came in on 1/17/15) Firstly, I know this is a buffet place so I Don't expect to like Every food item nor to receive 4/5 star dinning! What do expect is some quality food selections, & being tho it's a buffet environment, Clean food stations & overall dinning area & Clean Restroom! We couldn't find a table because so many of them was not cleaned, the one that was, was poorly cleaned with food in chairs & floor! The bathroom was so smelly & dirty! Tissue all over floors, urine & I don't know what else! We was seated in far back side by restrooms & you can smell the restroom by walking back to your seat in which is very close to salad bar #Yuck! (But I seen staff sitting around near the restroom, I guess they're ok with the smell) The staff was nice & friendly :) The food was not good! I'm trying to think one thing I liked.......... I didn't like Anything!!! The mac&cheese was like Soup!!! How can the rolls be hard?? (The rolls that Golden Corral have) anyone that been to a GOOD Golden Corral know the ones I'm talking about! Again: the SMELL coming from restroom did something to my tastebuds :/ Basically about $80 buck wasted for me,hubby & our 3teens! The kids liked the ice cream & cotton candy! 2 stars for parking & staff! FYI: it's unsanitary!! CLEAN THEM DIRTY A** RESTROOMS #SERIOUSLY!

I regularly visit this particular Golden Corral. This is the closest one to my residence. However, I make certain to go near closing time and I usually get my food to go. This Golden Corral, which is inside The Boulevard at the Capital Centre, stays pack mainly during the weekend. Since I do NOT like to wait when it comes to food, I would NEVER even think of going here, for example, on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. During those times, the line will easily stretch around the building. As I mentioned in the last paragraph, I usually get my food to go. I love pretty much most of the food that they serve. I love their fried chicken, broccoli, string beans, turkey, rice, pork chops, and spaghetti. I cannot forget about their salad too. Just know that everything I listed is not even half of what they serve. Nevertheless, I cannot forget about their great dinner rolls. I usually fill up my container with LOTS OF FOOD. Also, I will normally get a piece of apple pie, or maybe a piece of pumpkin pie with the whip cream on the top. When it comes time to pay, I never pay more than $12 for an amount of food that would cost $20 or more elsewhere. When getting food to go, Golden Corral will weigh it on a scale and charge you base on the weight. Do not expect a classy experience. Like other reviewers have stated, this is a sit-down buffet spot in Prince George's County. However, I never, ever have any problems with the restaurant staff or food. There will always be a select few customers who will get very loud, disorderly, and "ratchet" at times. When I experience that, I remember where I am. That makes getting the food to go a better thing to do.

My family ate here - what a mistake. The wait in line was almost an hour and the even though there's was a variety of food - the food was below-average. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and drive past this place.

Bad food, just lots of it. More noisy and crowded then most. Corral is a good name for it. Feels like being herded in to eat. Never again.

About a 3.5: I know that Golden Corral is a chain and it's a buffet. However, I think this is one of the better 'buffets' (compared to Great American and Old Country). If you are in the mood to stuff your face at a cheap cost, Golden Corral can be an option. I really think this is the best location in the DC metro area; it seems as if this place is extremely busy and is always packed to the gills! There is always a large group of families/friends here, and the line is usually out the door. I like this as that means the food is always being made, put out, and is 'fresh.' The manager on site seems to be quite organized and on top of things - making sure that the entrees/sides that are winding down is being replaced and is always filled. I usually stick to their pulled pork (with a side of bbq sauce; ask from one of the grill guys), fried chicken, pot roast, candied yams (with the small marshmallows), the chocolate/caramel fondue, and their mini strawberry pies. The pulled pork is great, and I love it with the extra dousing/dipping of the bbq sauce I get in the soup containers (HA). The fried chicken is cooked all the way through, and the skin is juicy and crispy and well-seasoned. The pot roast is delicious, as the hunk of roast is fork tender; you can add gravy to that, if you want, or dip it in A1 sauce. The candied yams are not overly sweet, but has a nice balance of the cinnamon and the slight sweetness from the lovely-colored marshmallows. I am digging their chocolate and the caramel fondue, and I appreciate the fact that the marshmallows available are not stale, but fresh and fluffy! The small strawberry pies are delicious, as I can eat that strawberry filling all day (it's kind of a European strawberry torte filling/topping). Service is a little slow, and we did have to wait a while for refills, so that can be a hit-or-miss. +pulled pork (with bbq sauce) +pot roast +candied yams +fried chicken +chocolate/caramel fondue +mini strawberry pies

Simply put, this restaurant is in my top 3 of the worst places to eat. I went there for the breakfast buffet since I was nearby. I expected it to be the same quality of Golden Corral I visited back in Colorado. I was more than just wrong. The food was horrible - it was very very bad, except things that couldn't go wrong such as packaged items (yogurt) or fruits. Some food didn't get rotated enough so it was so dry and stale - most of the foods were cold specially hash browns. After eating there, I immediately had stomachache, and had to take some meds to help with my digestion. I will never recommend any of my friends to go here.

f only i could leave a 1/2 star i called 2 check the hours of operation i was greeted with sarcasm by my operator . My mom really wanted to go. omg never again every staff member was frustrated. I understand today was pack due to mother day. But i had to keep looking for my waiter for drinks. Food was bland never again.

I went there - and I really wish I hadn't. Poor food. I mean it, row after row of awful buffet - Tex-Mex, Asian, salads, comfort food, desserts, you name it they serve it. This place sells quantity so if you're into choice abundance this is your place - but if you appreciate taste, I suggest you to go hungry rather than stepping foot in here. One great thing is the service staff, I've seldom come across such a friendly and welcoming bunch.

If I could, I wouldn't even rate this restaurant. I've been to te Golden Corral in Frederick before & it's been a pleasant expirience. Great Service & The Food was always fresh & replenished. THIS place is HORRRRRRIBLE ! BAD service, ever since we went in & got drinks we got bad stares & attitudes. The buffet was BEYOND EMPTY & I had gone starving ! the employees take their sweetas* time walking to fill up the Buffett. & they give you the dirties looks when you ask for anything. my hair found a hair in her mash potatoes, we spoke to the manager & he said he'd go "look" to see who did it. came back & said he didn't know who it coulda been & then he never came back, when my friend tried talking to him he ignored her. Never again.

First I'm gonna start this review with THIS IS A BUFFET IN A PG COUNTY, don't expect it to a classy affair, any foodie expecting fine dining get the fuck out, One you are going to a buffet that for about eleven dollars you get to eat all you and and two it is in a area where they have a posted police officer in the building so it is ghetto. You want fine dining, spend a mint on food not even worth half that in DC or some where around the Metro area that jacks up the prices to the spoiled rich or hipster foodies. Ok my rant is over and now with my review. I went, it isn't the cleanest but it was pretty good. There are kids that have bad manners but I have been to many places that can have that experience. Dinner buffet without drink was $11.59 and drink $2.19 which is not bad for all the food options some not good but some great. Look at the website to see all they have. The staff was really nice and patient with some unruly rude customers, the manager was really nice also. My waitress was attentive and made sure my table was taken care of. I am going to address a user I noticed on her 9/2/2012 Thomas A. (A for asshole) only one review and nothing since then and probably a bitch too. But my closing thoughts is then. Its an American buffet, its not the best but certainly not the worst and a great change from Asian buffets. If you aren't too picky or a stuffy foodie and have a open broad pallet that can appreciate say your uncle's back yard BBQ cooking then you may enjoy this place and plan to come here for a couple hours to get your money's worth.

It's kind of sad if the manager has to repeat over the intercom four times during our meal to all customers to ensure kids are accompanied throughout the restaurant by adults. Not to mention the little girl that the table next to us had to take a little girl to the "lost and found." The register line takes a while to get through, but the special "oven roasted prime rib" is a complete laugh, pot roast was not bad, but the best thing I found was an unlabeled shredded mystery meat that was flavorful, tender, and juicy, which was spooned from a pan near the prime rib.

Enjoyed this Golden Corral, as I usually do at any location I visit. Food was good. Rolls were yummy! Wait service was incredibly slow, and the tables stayed dirty for too long, but overall, it was a good experience.

Went here one night with my friend. Had a little racial treatment as the only asian people there that night. Interior: normal Food: Meh Service: Bad. No one gave us plates. No one refilled our water. Had to go get it ourselves. When we asked for stuff, they would forget and not come back to our table.

  • Mandana Y.

Okay so my nut-so boyfriend said for his birthday he wanted me to drive out all the way to Largo and let him stuff his face. I obliged. This place is a little... country. Sorry I'm a city girl, had to say it. But the people working there were pretty nice. And it was funny seeing a security guard standing where the cashier was stationed. So here is how it works... You walk in, pay first, and pay for a drink if you want. It is about 11 dollars a person for dinner and the drinks are like 3 bucks? Not sure. But it has free refills. You seat yourself and there are busboys that walk around and refill your drinks for you and pick up your plates when you're finished. The guy that serviced our table was pretty attentive. So now time to discuss the food. It actually wasn't that bad. There are tons of options and honestly all looked pretty good. I went straight for the coconut shrimp. It was DELICIOUS. The birthday boy ate basically everything else, and thoroughly enjoyed himself. We both felt pregnant after our meal, that's how serious we were about this buffet. So with all that, I give the whole experience 3 stars. Cici's is less than half the price, so I would still recommend that if you want a low grade buffet, but if you want some serious variety in your food and some outstanding people-watching, give this place a try.

    (3)
  • Thomas A.

NO STARS!!!!! I gave it one star because I had to. Not exaggerating. Was the worst buffet experience I've ever had. The food was horrible. The place felt like a cafeteria with dirty people and dirty servers everywhere. The servers were literally horse-playing instead of cleaning the tables. Unprofessional! Don't believe me? Go spend $26 for two people and see for yourself. Otherwise, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE FOR ANY REASON! If your budget is tight there are better options don't do it to yourself. Detest!!!

    (1)
  • Adam F.

Overcrowded, but the food tasted just like any other Golden Corral. The staff seemed to at least have a handle on how many people were there, but because of that they can't come around enough to pick up your dirty plates or refill your drink.

My friends and I had were trying to find a restaurant to fit a very large [50 people] group after our graduation. Because they don't take reservations on the weekend, they advised us to just come early. While the restaurant was very crowded, they did their best to accommodate all of our families in a close proximity and it worked out great. I just had to give them props for helping us out when every other restaurant was turning us away. And the food was still good! Like I said before, it always feels like a family reunion here. But some of the wait staff still needs to check their attitude.

The food is fresh. Good price. All you can eat. My pork tenderloin was dry but I got over it. I just like that you have so many choices. Fresh salad bar.

  • cranzy p.

well once again the cranzy has compromised for the sake of almighty stomach growlyness and it has gotten him nowhere,,,,this place was awful ...usually it's at least tolerable...I mean it can stave off an argument about where to eat on a non-special occasion given that it's a buffet and you have so many choices right...???!!!??..maybe I should have come earlier because the main things I actually like about this dump are not being serviced correctly here this late(after 9:00PM) primarily the mexican rice....I had non-sweet watermelon cut in awkwardly eaten huge chunks along with some pretty good honeydew slices and some nasty rotten strawberries with walnut ,sunflower seeds and raisins...I could make all of these things way better at home and have them be better for me but compromise is a bitch that a Viking couldn't change.... I really don't like buffets they just present to many inferior options and they don't leave you stuck with your decision much like life decisions which make for much regret and latter life joking. It's Just a plethora of bullshit all at once and who is capable of entering in with their previous standards intact...maybe this will make me respect them more.... anyway I also had some pseudo grilled chicken and fish with some sweet glaze with a jalapeno thrown on top for effect...this was mostly tasteless and reminded me of being in grade school so I could say I had my protein for the day..... I even went back for more to get some hamburger patties which were dry and flavorless even with the "sauteed" bell peppers and onion which tasted like water..just awful...I had to use some god awful vinegary Texas Pete to have it be edible just to be able to say I didn't waste my money and avoid an argument.... and the ice tea was like sugar water....don't get me wrong sugar water used to be the shizz but it is not 95' anymore and they need to just let it go....otherwise I do not recommend this place to anyone unless your just starving and low on gas in the Largo area...I didn't even think about dessert as the sight of what they had to offer repulsed me... and the thing is I went out of my way to specifically go here...again maybe I was too late but there are no excuses and I don't plan on making up any... I'll leave that to the churchgoers who may not know any better? and to the super gastro busters who just want to stretch the limits of gluttony.

  • Olivia D.

for some reason, i think i've only eaten here on sundays. and it doesn't matter what time you go on a sunday, it's always PACKED with lines to the doors filled with people who just got off church. if the line does indeed extend to the doors, you'll probably find yourself waiting 45 minutes to get a table. now as a buffet goes, the quality of the food is pretty standard with your typical salad bar, fried chicken, veggie sides, soups, desserts, etc. they also have grilled steaks, which are a nice touch, but often come out well done and the texture of rubber no matter how you ask for it. the service is often slow, too, which sucks if you're waiting on a drink refill. the two things that take golden corral to another level are the bread and butter. those rolls are soft and heavenly and they're really what make me come back to the corral time and again. the butter, too, is not just any butter, but HONEY butter which is just perfectly sweet and creamy. so for these two things alone, i give the corral a cool three stars.

So good many foods to choose from wish there was one near me yummy !!!!!

  • Heather M.

I find lunch and dinner here to be bland and average. BUT... Breakfast? Ahhh, wonderful! Breakfast is awesome at Golden Corral. My favorites? The star shaped donuts (think Krispy Kreme, but better and unlimited!), the buttery scrambled eggs, the omlettes and waffles made to order, and the heavenly biscuits. Yummy! Here's my strategy - I bring the Friday and Saturday Washington Post and park my ass at a table for the better part of two hours, refilling my plate as necessary. I don't ask for coffee until I am seated, so then it's free. I do leave a tip, but it looks to me like most patrons don't. I would NEVER go here on a Sunday. Olivia, Are you crazy? Saturday morning is the way to go. In fact, I think I will.

  • Michael G.

I was high when I went so me giving it 5 stars might be an exaggeration, but still the food was on point.

    (5)
  • Saeed M.

Been here a couple times. I'll give it a very solid Three Stars because it's a buffet and because out of the many buffets I've had they have one of the better selections and most of the stuff I ate was at least reasonably fresh. The meat off the grill was pretty good and ofcourse the have the standard chicken and pizza for the kiddies (me) LOL. Dessert section wasn't the greatest but they did have mini-pecan pies the second time I went which was nice. The service here isn't completely horrid but not the fastest or friendliest either. Really, all you have to do is bring me a stack of plates a drink and get out of my way. Shouldn't be to difficult to have great service when that's all that's required... Either way, I'm sure I'll end up going back at some point when I want to gain 20lbs in 20 minutes like a pig at a trough YAY!

    (3)
  • Faye B.

What kind of fat bastard reviews an all-you-can-eat chain? ME! And yes, I just gave it FOUR STARS- that is not a typo. I think that everyone should try the gooey, fatty smorgasbord that is the Golden Corral (GC). Pinkies up! This is the best all-you-can-eat spot because of the yeasty rolls and the honey butter. Us poor, uncultured Northerners only have Old Country Buffet and their bread has nothing on GC. Plus, y'all have sweet tea! You win, hands down. Anyways, this particular GC is tops to me because they have fried tilapia and it's delicious! The mashed potatoes are creamy, they even have fried cabbage. For breakfast they have cooked-to-order omelets and waffles. Yum. Their kielbasi is really good too but I can't stomach that anymore but don't let that stop you. Out of all buffets, GC is indeed the best and this one is pretty top notch. The ice cream isn't that great though but the rest of the desserts (CHESS PIE!) make up for it.
