Black Hog BBQ

August 2015 Food was great! The brisket rocked (some of the best 'chunks' I've had), just on the right side of smokey with taste. Service (getting to me) was a little slow and music was a little loud - hence minus one star. But the brisket! Yum!!
If you live in Maryland, Black Hog will likely wow you. If you're from anywhere south of Maryland, you'll consider it average. Meanwhile, Black Hog BBQ does a fantastic job with presentation. On the other hand, unfortunately, it didn't taste anywhere as good as it looks. Still, it's a solid spot for a good, average, BBQ, which does boast an upbeat atmosphere, affordability and excellent service. The best thing we had was the chopped pork. While you still need the help of one of the sauces to bring solid flavor it's much better than the Arkansas brisket, which was chewy and tough to eat. We ate two nuggets of it and left the rest. The smoked sausage, again average, at best. The sauces are all a good average, too. As for the sides, you'll enjoy the fries and the greens are ok, too. I'm a big fan of sweet potato casserole and loves sweets, but this side was so overly sweet there's likely no sugar left in the back. Still, I think the sides are much better than the BBQ. Black Hog is a great place for people that have never had good BBQ. If you have, however, you won't rave about this place.
Seriously. Best BBQ I've had in MD, and I've searched far and wide. Ribs are amazing. Arkansas beef (burnt ends) are amazing. Pulled pork is amazing. You can tell it's fresh and not some garbage they just pulled out of a microwave. Their sweet potatoes are soooo delicious. Highly recommended! You can also get Dr. Pepper in a glass bottle (real sugar, not the poison that is high fructose corn syrup)! Service is always great. Not a fan of driving all the way up here, especially 270 NB with rush hour, but it's always worth it. Open a place further south in Gaithersburg or germantown!

Pretty disappointing BBQ. I have been to the Frederick location a few times, which seems to be better.
Love this place! Great ribs and love the dry rub wings! We eat there often, and we are always happy!

We were driving to Frederick and saw this restaurant. Decided to to stop in and so glad we did. The restaurant has a laid back mood. Menu is small buried like that. I had pizza and it was great. Very fresh nice taste. My wife had Rainbow trout and loved it. The staff as friendly. The restaurant clean. Easy place to miss though. Ian glad we stopped by
This food was amazing. The wings lack in number but made up for in taste. Probably the best wings I ever ate. Pizza and cheesy bread were great. The wings will not be forgotten though
Excellent brick oven style pizza with the only availability in the area. The quality of food is excellent. The pizza is very traditional. Sandwiches are hot out of the oven.

This is a small carry-out place in Urbana, MD next to the Buffalo Wild Wings. They do offer seating, but it is very limited. Of the three chinese restaurants in Urbana, I would rate this one as the best. They have great service. The egg drop soup is not as eggy and heavy as some other places. The Singapore noodles are AMAZING. I usually request they make them spicier, and I am never disapointed. They also send coupons in with their menus(free appetizer, fried rice, etc).
Best in urbana!
Not bad, not great... Ordered Cashew Chicken and some Spring Rolls. Spring roles were good, Cashew Chicken was ok, light on the chicken but veggies were crunchy. Sauce was good but a little on the weak side. Woman working the counter was nice and order was prepared quickly. Although I ordered to go, noticed that the restaurant had zero ambiance which explains why it was completely empty even though the other restaurants in the strip mall were packed. As I said, not bad but nothing I'd go back for.

This Bdubs has the standard decor with lots and lots of televisions. Staff is very courteous and handled themselves well with a full dining room. The only thing that felt out of place was there were unframed jerseys pinned to the wall. They seem to have the same identity crisis of many sports bars in the area, are the Baltimore fans or are they Washington fans?
There were so many kids running around unattended to include the bar area they should rename this place Chuckie Cheese. It was impossible to have a conversation because of the noise level. The service was slow and not attentive. Food served with no utensils. After the waiter served a bad beer he took it away and was observed taking a drink out of it.
The food was good the service took forever. It's Buffalo Wild Wings sick to what you like and you will be fine

This store really needs some courtesy and consistency with their staff and products. I have ordered Iced coffee with a little bit of Hazelnut Swirl and Skim milk for this week alone and each day I get snippy people taking the order at the window and things made incorrectly. Not even close. They are not only snippy and rude to me but I can hear them with other customers and then the employee rushes them and are highly impatient. It states Manager M, Trans. Seq. No. 715343. Yesterday I received a large iced black coffee with no hazelnut or skim milk. When I brought it to their attention they said, I gave you a large and you prefer the medium? I told her NO I would like it made correctly regardless of the size. They did correct it but were quite rude about it. It was a girl with long dark brown hair and glasses and tattoos on her arm. When I thanked her for remaking it she said YEAH YEAH and rolled her eyes. When I am paying my hard earned money for anything I expect my order to be correct and at least courteous service. Today I ordered an iced coffee with a little bit of hazelnut swirl and skim milk. Well that isn't what I received. I received iced hazelnut swirl and Reg cream and sugar of which was so sweet it was nauseating. I was afraid to tell the girl because I really didn't want to deal with her attitude again. I would really like to be contacted and have some sort of reimbursement with coupons or so forth for constantly incorrect orders. It's like they do not care and just put anything into the cups. Then when you mention that it's wrong and they treat you as if it's your fault. Well they either need to take some responsibility for their actions, be spoken to or lose their jobs. If they do not wish to work and it's just too much they can go find another job. There are many people out there that need a job and are willing to work.
Its on my way to work and very convenient since a drive thru. But speed is not their forte. Expect 5-10 minute wait in drive thru. And that's in the summer
NOT a highway-accessible restaurant!!! Several miles off the highway! If it ain't at the exit ramp, take it off the sign!!!!
