Had the chicken n rice...was pretty good. So was the pork n vermicelli dish my friend had. Tried bunch of apps Korean rolls-good, Vietnamese tacos-alright (ur choice of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp), steamed pork bun-did not look anything like the pic-was blah. Bahn mi sandwich was good. The bread was toasty, grilled pork was tasty. Sesame ball was ok, just comes as a single ball. They do have bar n drinks. I ordered Tropic Thunder came in a full glass cup. Didn't get to try the pho..look pretty good. Will have to try next time. Didn't get to try more of the desserts but the sesame ball.

I will give this place one huge line of credit - the summer rolls are pretty fantastic. As far as everything else, I agree with many of the reviews on this site. The pho is ok at best - not bad for being by Fort Meade, but not really up to anyone's standards. I went in there once between the hours of 2 and 7 p.m. for their happy hour, and was hugely disappointed by the lack of actual happy hour specials as well as decent food. I waited almost 25 minutes for my wings - who on earth wait that long for wings? Additionally, I have to agree with many other reviews and that the customer service is terrible. It's like they have no idea the difference between Vietnamese customer service, and American customer service. I am in America - not Vietnam. I expect you to come by and refill my water without asking, take away my plates as I'm done with them, and actually be available when I need to get my bill. Last I checked you may serve like you're in Vietnam but you still expect American tips. If you can tolerate all of that, this is actually pretty decent place to go for pho and summer rolls. The other food though - I wouldn't touch it.

2.5 stars. The food here is OK. More expensive than other pho places that are way better. The bartender/waitress was disgusting. She was picking her teeth with a toothpick behind the cash register which is by the sandwich case... The other staff was attentive and nice. I got the tofu pho and it was ok. Hubby got the pork Bahn MI. And he liked that a lot. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and bitter, I prefer it to be more sweet but that's how my hubby likes it. Summer rolls were good but the peanut sauce was a little off. Not enough peanut taste in the sauce. Over-all. It was ok. Probably won't come back.

As a very picky and critical Vietnamese, I have to say that this place far exceeded my expectation!!! I came here for the first time last week and I've been back like every other day... Everything here is really good so you can't go wrong. My husband likes the beef and egg roll vermicelli. I like the rice with pork chops. Their banh mi is also amazingly delicious! Favorite part is that it's not too far from me...

(3/17/2015) Needed a quick lunch after a visit to the big house, drove by and saw the beckoning sign "BANH MI," immediately hit the brakes and pulled in. There's a dearth of decent banh mi in the city proper, this is not so far away, doable. There's a cold case in the back of the restaurant for the carry out orders and sandwiches and assorted buns, like a Little Saigon lunch counter cocooned in a dark (almost seedy, but clean) lounge. Got a #1 "House Special" and #6 Grilled Pork, both combos (with a Summer Roll and fountain drink). House Special had ham, pork roll, pate, head cheese; interesting anise flavor, somewhat mild in seasoning. Grilled Pork was phenomenal, marinated, tender, well-seasoned pork pieces with a slightly spicy mayo, great with the crisp pickled carrots, daikon, cucumbers, fresh cilantro and sliced green jalapenos. Summer Roll was a tight wrap, springy, chewy wrapper (fresh made), had both sliced pork tenderloin and shrimp, came with a not-too-sweet peanut sauce with golden garlic. Steamed buns (also they have fried), only $3 and ginormous, a meal in itself; is the Vietnamese version of the Chinese bao. Can't wait to get back and try their other dishes, pho sure!

Pho One-O has some great pho as well as some delicious non-pho options. It has an awesome new age vibe with some still great traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

This business is new and just opened in late August, 2014. The restaurant in the strip mall was renovated to contemporary style facility. I like the way it was thought out in design and arrangement of bold, modern furniture. It is an open concept restaurant with 6 big screen tvs, bar and carry-out of sandwiches that is not in the menu. The owner/manager told me that they used to own the Vietnamese restaurant in Glen Burnie and sold it. They now own only this restaurant. Perfect location near a military base where different customers are open to world's cuisine. I did not try the pho so I will be back.

I walked in the restaurant it was very dark. A guy asked if we needed help. Then he said our host will be with you shortly? Ok from there I knew it was not organized. But I gave them slack cause it's there "grand opening". First thing host says "I am sorry you can order only banh mi, and appetizers. Our gas line is down" Seriously on your grand opening? So I asked my family do they just want to eat banh mi? We decided sure. Then the host stated "your server is slow today can you order your drinks here?" I tried to explain what drinks I wanted she did not understand. So I said forget it we are leaving. Last straw I asked if we could keep our free t shirts. Since we technically came to the grand opening it was not our fault we could not eat there. They were super petty and said no. I even told them I would come back Sunday to try it out again. Sorry that is bad business being petty over a t shirt. You didn't see it from customers perspective. For all the future customers this place is the same owners as Miss. Sagion in Glen Burnie. It was good at one point. But went down hill. I still went to Pho One O knowing that it was the same owners to give a it a shot. Bad idea! Same owners = same bad business. I do not know if I will come back to review the food. We shall see. We went to Phube in Hanover, MD to get our pho fix. Much cleaner much friendly. Yum! Best pho I've ever had in this area . The banh mi is the best I've had too! This place is a gem! My husband pigged out and had 2 sandwiches and 2 appetizers and I had the Pho. Also 3 IPAs and our bill was only $37!! Awesome!!

This place has the best tasting pho in the area. It's family run on family recipes. I've had pho up and down the east and west coasts and I rank this in my top three ever. The broth is key for good pho and this place knows what they are doing. It takes them 8 hours to create the broth. It has a complex simplicity to it that makes you want more. I used to dump all kinds of stuff in my pho but not here. I feel like you ruin the flavor that was created in that 8 hour process. Their spring and summer rolls are good not the best. The vermicelli and rice dishes are really good but found the flavor to be inconsistent at times. Very good each time but noticed a difference after ordering the same thing on six different occasions. By far the best bonmi I've had. The quality ingredients they use speak for themselves. They even had a fried version of it that I hesitated on trying, but can you imagine a fried bonmi? What's not to like! The best part is the have happy hour everyday! With $2 draft beers, $5.99 small phos, and $1.50 spring rolls. This place is relatively new but they have worked the kinks out from their first day opening. I don't think you'll be disappoint with they items they offer.

Was in the area doing some shopping and had a hankering for bun Bo hue. Was glad to see how spacious this restaurant is and it seems to be decently clean. Waited for awhile and the multi-functioning bus girl instructed us to sit wherever. Shortly after our waitress came by to take our order. She was Caucasian which does not make me question the authenticity of the food but when I asked for the bun Bo hue by name she had no clue what I was talking about. I had to describe the dish and she said "oh the spicy soup" and flipped the menu to the back page to confirm. Not sure if she's new but I expect that any server working at a restaurant should know the names of the dishes whether it's a Mexican, French, Chinese or American restaurant. Anyhow, after placing our orders that was the last we saw of our waitress. Despite seeing her serving other tables she never came back to fill our drinks, check on us or even give us our bill. Um okay. After hungrily watching many other tables getting their food for 25 minutes another server brought our food out. My bun Bo hue looked good but the taste was a little off. It definitely had the heat I was looking for which I enjoyed. But the broth and meats just weren't the best. The beef was fine but the pork had a weird funk to it. The size was adequate for me but I'd imagine for most guys it wouldn't be big enough. I managed to finish all of it as I was pretty hungry. My fiancé got the com Bo luc lac which is rice with shaken beef. It's a traditional dish that always has great flavor. It was the same in this case. Nice flavor for the beef and sautéed vegetables. Only complaint is the size--there were about 8 pieces of small beef cubes. For $14 i expect more of what the dish is all about, the beef! The rice served with it is different, it's made with coconut milk. It tasted fine and I'm sure many people would enjoy it but I like the traditional white broken rice it's typically served with. After waiting for 20+ minutes and asking twice for the bill, we finally just walked up to the cashier and informed her of what we ordered and paid. Overall food is decent, nothing special and definitely not a good value. Service is lacking, and considering how little service there is with 90% of Vietnamese restaurants (I am half Vietnamese and grew up eating at Viet restaurants in California), that says a lot. Unlikely that I'll be returning...unless I decide to give them another chance with a bahn mi from their takeout counter in the back of the restaurant, there were 5-6 different ones ~$5 each.

This pho place got me excited to try their foods. The decor is more lounger than the usual bare bone decor pho restaurant. It offers crispy baguette for bahn mi and deep fried pork bun with quail eggs. The pho soup is tasty as well. I can't wait to go back there again.

Great service! Food came extremely fast. Menu has a lot to pick from including a small section for children who probably wouldn't like Pho. Will defiantly be returning!

I have to admit that I DID NOT come here for the Pho...I wanted a Banh Mi Sanwich, if I may. Don't get me wrong I love Pho, but I have been trying to find a Banh Mi for a while in Howard/Anne Arundel Counties. For a while I either had to go to Montgomery County or get a co-worker to grab one in VA. My go to for Pho has been An Loi in Columbia, but they dont make Banh Mi, so when I found out that Pho One had them, I was excited! The cilantro, the carrots, the jalapeno, the cabbage all on the soft roll with the grilled pork or some places use pork belly was all I wanted! Needless to say, I was not disappointed and have a new place for the my Banh Mi within a 15-20 minute drive of home. They also have other meats that you can get, but the pork is the best in my opinion no matter where you go!

  • Jen L.

The Pho is excellent here. An Loi and Pho One O are my go to places for Pho in the area. The Vermicelli is really good too, but I think I prefer the pho over the vermicelli here. The crowd here is interesting during happy hour. It is mostly young professionals in business casual and suits. Very professional crowd. Not at all what I would expect. However, the service and the food is great here and it is near a military installation so its one of the few bars that isn't sketch available to be people who work there. They have a stage...however I have never seen any live music or Karaoke there..but it looks possible. If you ask and can wait about 10 min, the Sesame Balls are my favorite desserts here. It is not on the menu so you have to ask for it. But they are amazing! Just like the ones I used to get from a Hong Kong bakery.

A great place for authentic Vietnamese Pho and food. The selection of food offers something for everyone. The Pho is truly enjoyable.

Went here excited to try the banh mi sandwiches. The sandwich fillings were actually not bad, but i think they skimp on the vegetables. I found only 1-2 cucumber slices, and not much radish. The actual meat amount wasn't bad, but banh mi needs a proper ratio to be right (the fresh crisp vs fat vs bread) was a little out of balance. However, i was pleased to see such offerings here. next time, I might ask for a little more vegetables with it. I'd like to try it again in teh future sometime, but perhaps this time with some Pho or bun bo hue too. Price was reasonable. Decor was kind of strange to me, but they do advertise live music at night, so, it might be better at that time (I came during lunch hour).

The food was very good. The spring rolls and dipping sauce were delicious. I had pork vermicelli and loved it. The service wasn't great. The girl who waited on us didn't know anything about the menu items we asked about. You pay at the cashier but as soon as you do they take away your drinks so don't pay until you're ready to actually leave the table!

Yelp says I'm too far to Check-In, unfortunately... First Positive Actual Review...I usually add Positive Mentions to My Check-In Comment which is why there aren't any in a "Review"...Until Now!!! FINALLY!!! The Pho and Banh Mi Gods have answered My Prayers!!! I've been in Baltimore for 18 Months and I've eaten Pho from Towson to Glen Burnie...This Spot is LEGIT!!! Reminds me of Vietnamese Cuisine served on The Best Coast!!! NorCal and Vegas to be exact!!! One of the nicest Vietnamese Restaurants I've been to aside from Le Cheval and Eleve in Walnut Creek, and Slanted Door, Thanh Long, Crustaceans, and PPQ in San Francisco...But then again that is because this Restaurant was likely some sort of Sports Bar before and they Bought the Place Furnished... I had Pho Tai Sach with the Tai on the Side and a Grilled Pork Banh Mi!!! I read that the Broth was Sweet in One Review...They must've had an Off-Day that Day because the Broth was PERFECT; not Sweet at all!!! And I know what the Reviewer means by Sweet cause I've been to Spots where the Broth tasted like Beef Candy!!! LMAO!!! Pho was brought out not long after Ordering as I would expect of any Pho House in The Bay!!! The Banh Mi was PERFECT as well!!! SOOOOO GOOD I ordered 2 To Go after I finished my Meal!!! Believe it or not, I used to get Banh Mi between $2.00-$3.00 in the '90s and Early 2Ks in The Bay; they're $5.00 here, same in The Bay these Days! The Baguette had a Crunchy Outside and a Soft, Chewy Inside and smelled like Fresh French Baguettes are 'posed to!!! The Grilled Pork tasted EXACTLY how Vietnamese Marinated Grilled Pork is 'posed to!!! Not like that Nasty Shit they Serve at Phubs!!! Banh Mi was brought out nearly Immediately after the Pho as I would expect of any Pho House in The Bay!!! The Da Chanh was an Actual Limeade unlike some places that make it with Lemon!!! PERFECT balance of Tart and Sweet!!! And to think I was gonna eat somewhere in Glen Burnie!!! This Spot is further away from me than I would like it to be, but I'm GLAD I reconsidered!!! This Meal TOTALLY Hit The Spot and if I was Blind, then I would have thought I was eating Pho and Banh Mi from back Home!!!

The pho is good. Would have given 4 if the water didn't bother me too much... Asked for a soda and found out the ice cubes were the problem. Smells like sewer water. Not sure if that's authentic Vietnamese :) maybe. You get that industrial warehouse look... Not a place to relax in. Try this place... Eat the food, but make sure you bring your bottle water. Update: confirmed with a friend who are a couple of hours before me that the water did taste funky. My sore throat could be a coincidence :(

I am so happy this place opened. So. Happy. the Pho is $7-$9 and its delicious. Summer rolls are great, the vietnamese iced coffee is great, and the crisp pork dish is great. We've been a little blah about the banh mi, but its cheap, so maybe its just not my thing. they just decreased some of the items on their menu, so its hard to be adventurous, the bun boe hue is really good here too. The staff however, changes a lot it seems, and they all suck. They either take a while to get your order, or they leave you sitting there waiting for the check. But lets be honest, all asian food joints have bad service, thats not why you go there.

I'm on a Vietnamese food kick so I come here (while hunting for other options) occasionally to pick up lunch The Good: -They have a separate little corner for their banh mi with other Vietnamese baked goods. -Bahnhi is much better then PHUBs, cheaper and tastes better. They use nicely made baguette which is slightly chewy and slightly crisp on the outside. The ingredients are more authentic since they use the traditional Vietnamese deli meats like *crushed pork, *meatball, *pâté, *pork belly, *Vietnamese sausage, *grilled pork, *grilled pork patties They won't have as many options as some of the joints you will find in Vietnamese towns but they at least make the limited choices they have as authentic as possible (very much unlike terrible PHUBS). Aaaye.. thumbs up to their Bah mi. -Mostly nice staff -Big clean space for dining if that's the option you're looking for -Better then PHUBs The Bad: -One of the staff members is kind of annoying lol. My guess is it's a family member. Nothing in particular about him but just seems like a teenager not happy to be there. -the Bun bo hue has no pork blood and tastes a little bland with no pork knuckle! Lot of the artificial pork meat/sausage instead... blegh The Meh: -Pho is too sweet for my taste. The portions are small when I carry out. I always order large but the soup is never even close to filling up the carry out soup container. I have no idea what the small is like if what I get is large. The banh mi alone would've gotten them 4 stars but b/c of the average soup dishes I knocked off a star. I'll be back so maybe they'll get better.

Came in super late (30 minutes before they were about to close their doors) in hopes of getting some pho soup to cure my cold. I was greeted once I arrived inside and was told to go over to the sandwich counter to ring up my order. The girl (younger than me) was super helpful and very kind. She told me what to order, how to order it and how to make it once I got home. I got the large beef brisket pho to go and devoured it once I got home. It was awesome!

First visit: It was their grand opening and the utensils were mixed up. Some of us got a steak knife, some of us got chopstix, some of us just got a spoon. It was weird. The spring rolls had a smooth consistency. My pho broth wasn't hot enough so the meat did not keep cooking when I shoved it to the bottom upon receipt of my bowl. I usually do this first thing in EVERY pho restaurant I go to. And usually by the time I finish the noodles, the meat is well done. This is the first time I could not eat the meat because it was still a white-pinkish color. The tap water tasted funny. My friend went for the 5 sandwiches (banh mi) deal and only the pork one tasted good. There's a booth in the back with pork buns and stuff (it's where they make the sandwiches I think) which looks interesting. There's not really any dessert options. 2nd visit: I went there about a month later and ordered the same bowl of pho. I found a sprig of cilantro on my spoon, waiter didn't come around for awhile so I couldn't drink my broth until it was colder. Conclusion: I'd go if a friend wanted to go, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

This has become one of my Go-to lunch spots, specifically because of the Bahn Mi. They're hard to find in this area, and this has some of the best ones I've ever had, including the ones I found in Southern California. I've had the meatball, the grilled pork, and the grilled beef, and all have been phenomenal. Each one has had the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and sour, and the textures inside the sandwich are great. Plus, the bread they use is OUTSTANDING. I also really like the spring roll here, but the shrimp in the summer rolls doesn't taste very fresh. It's my only gripe so far about the place. I haven't tried the vermicelli or Pho yet here, but will be back soon at dinner time to do just that.

    (4)
  • Yeong M.

Stick with the pho. Which is pretty tasty. The BahnMi sandwiches are definitely a no go. Before we had to go to Columbia or Catonsville to get decent pho however this place will do when short on time.

Been searching across the east coast for an authentic Banh Mi sandwich and this joint finally puts my search to an end! Phubs down the street is garbage and overpriced compared to this! Just recently moved into the area coming from Los Angeles California, that being said, everything on the east coast tastes horribly bland and fruitless. With one exception, the Banh Mi's at this spot! I've made road trips to different vietnamese restaurants in search for the California style banh mi and grew restless until I finally accepted that the East Coast just failed me once more on authentic foods. That was up until August 28th Twenty Fourteen at four-oh-one pee-em! OH GAHD ! I've finally had my first oral orgasm in a year since I left Los Angeles! It was a thing of beauty. As I closed my eyes and engorged my teeth into the flaky warm baguette my eyes popped open as memories dinning in LA filled my thoughts as the Banh Mi was simultaneously filling my heart! It was a taste of home! ok the end =] They also serve Lee's Coffee! For those of you who don't know its a Vietnamese style coffee (sweet, creamy and strong) that will wake an Elephant! Its the best vietnamese coffee in the Nation and they serve it here! Did I mention its also from California? I did now!

Great PHO, tasty large portions of meat and has nice aroma and mouth feel. Only complaint about meal was that after asking if they except credit cards at the end of the meal was told that the credit card machine did not work. Poor poor poor management.

Very impressed with the food, had the C2: beef with Noodles. The decor is nice, staff was quick with service and friendly. Haven't tried their Pho, but will definitely try it next time. So they earn that 5th star, for their reasonable prices and $2.00 draft happy hour 2-7.

It's not often that I give a one or a two to a place where the food is ok and the staff friendly, but I have to today. While my husband cleaned up the food from the floor, complements of our one year old, he looked up and saw a roach trying to eat the spilled food. If we hadn't already finished our food, we would've left. Instead we notified our server and paid up. Roach plus the incessant fruit flies buzzing around the food equal 1.6 stars, minus a star for each infraction. We had a Groupon so we ordered generously: Spring rolls (comes with only 2), Grilled Chicken for the baby, Spicy Beef Soup, and Pho p3. Not breaking the bank. Everything tasted ok albeit a little too sweet in all of the dishes. My spicy beef soup was perfectly hot, the rolls were refreshing. The beef in the soups was tender, my added meatball nothing special. They DID have $2 beer for their happy hour, so yay if you're not Breastfeeding! So...without our visitors from the animal kingdom, our experience was a 3.6/5. But as soon as I heard about la cucaracha, I lost my appetite for the place. I hope they clean up their act.

They would have gotten at least 4 stars because their food is pretty good! Their problem is their service. I went there for the 1st time with a group of friends and the waiter was rude not only to the patrons but also to the hostess. Went back last week for lunch, the service started out great...got our drinks and appetizer right away....it went down hill from there. We ate our appetizer (Korean Summer Roll) and it was very good! But then we waited, and waited, saw people come in and got their pho and we waited some more. The waiter came over and asked if we were ready for out bill (-_-)...we told him we haven't even gotten our Pho and saw multiple people that came in after us are chowing down on some delicious pho! We ended up waiting an Additional 10 more mins and we finally got our Pho! The broth was nice and hot and flavorful. We got there about 1145 and finally got our food at 1220. On a positive note: they did give us 20% off our bill and apologize. Please don't forget your customers! Your food is good but service matters too!

I was sick with flu & needed some hearty soup to pick me up. This was the closest place near me so I tried it. Sooooo happy I did. I went in seeking Phö but was excited to see all the other menu items especially the bulgogi rolls and Bao..... I freaking love Bao! And theirs is fresh made, not frozen. And they offer a 10% Military discount as well as 5% discount for paying in cash. That's 15% off of an already very reasonable price. So today will be my fourth visit in four days. It's delicious and speeding up my recovery. I lived in the Washington state area for several years and am no stranger to Phö. This is in the top 3 that I've had but most certainly the best in the area.

I came in and the hostess asked how many. I said just 1 then smiled. :) She sat me down and told me someone will come momentarily. I sat down, checked the watch then looked at the menu. Once I figured on what to get, I closed the menu and started watching the TV to my left. There are 3 big screen TV's on the wall, each showing a different channel. The one I was watching was some soap opera. 5 minutes later still nothing.... Another 5 minutes later.... Nothing.... After 12 minutes from the moment I sat down, I had absolutely no service. It was as if my big Asian butt was a ghost. Unbelievable. The manager or owner was right behind me talking to some guys in Vietnamese and she was the ONLY person who worked there that noticed my presence aside from the hostess when I first walked in. The place wasn't that busy. I'm not sure if I was using proper etiquette but I thought closing my menu would inform the waiter/waitress that I'm ready to order? Either way, 12 minutes of nothing.. I really wanted to try out their food. The Crispy Pork dish which looks like Chicharron, their Banh Mi and the Curry Chicken soup looked really good. I'll stop by again soon WITH someone else so maybe next time they won't forget the BOTH of us.

This place is pretty good. I stopped in last week for carryout and got the goi cuon (summer rolls) and the lemongrass beef over vermicelli. I'm somewhat of a regular at Pho Miss Saigon in Glen Burnie, but I was in the area and figured I'd try a different place. The goi cuon were really good, totally stuffed, and the peanut sauce was great (that's important, you know)! I didn't find the lemongrass beef to be as flavorful as what they serve at my usual spot, but the portion was really generous albeit a tad pricey. I really wish Pho One-O had a lunch special menu...or even a more expansive menu (think Pho #1 in Catonsville - That thing's overwhelming)...but overall, I liked what I got and I'll be back.

This is a great family owned restaurant/bar/lounge. I came with my husband and his parents on a Saturday night and we were immediately seated as soon as we walked in. The service is fantastic and the food is SO GOOD. I was pleasantly surprised as I normally don't like this type of food but it was the best food I ate all day. I knew it was good when my husband agreed. He completely dislikes any type of Asian food but couldn't stop raving about his entree. I recommend the spring rolls with the spicy fish sauce as an appetizer and the chicken pho soup, the pork special, and lemongrass chicken as entrees. The ONLY thing I could say negative about our visit is that (in my opinion) their menu is somewhat limited. Also, if you are active duty military, you get a 10% discount and if you pay with cash, 5% off. Overall, quite happy with our time here.

When this place opened I was happy I could get my pho fox without having to drive 15 minuets away. I've never left without being full. Most of the time I get spring rolls and a bowl of pho. This time I decided to try the shrimp pho and was pleasantly surprised, it was actually pretty good. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was awesome. I go here about twice a month and will continue to. I need to check out happy hour though.

I liked the pho here, and it's nice not having to schlep over to Columbia or down to northern VA. One major drawback, though, at least for our family, is that there are zero vegetarian options here: no vegetarian appetizers, and no vegetarian broths from which to choose. An Loi in Columbia does have both, so we will head back there when we have time. Pho One-O is so convenient to home, though! Service is mediocre, most likely high school aged members of the owner's family. They have a couple of decent beers to choose from apart from the typical crap macro-brews.

Like a fool I had to run into this place for their soft opening... And yes it was chaotic, yes it was lunch time...But I had to have it I ordered acarry out ....I ordered spring rolls and house special Bahn Mi (head cheese, ham and dang I forgot what other goodness they had) on a toasted baguette OMGeezzz was it flavorful, bigger PLUS they also had the SMARTS of separating the pickled veggies... We don't want a soggy sandwich if it's not to be eaten immediately (good looking out) My spring roll was of normal size...*yeaaaaay* My now previous spot, PHUBS their spring rolls were the smallest I've ever seen....But for the same price as a normal size. ..needless to say PHUBS immediately had me in a not so special way.. The cost of their Bahn Mi is loads cheaper than PHUBS.. And have more variety. Next week.. Will try the Pho which everyone who knows me understands Pho is better than my first love.. My First husband.. (haters always gonna hate) .. And my First breath of air..... Sigh Shout out to Chinn... He's awesome see yer soon!

This place is alright, definitely not what I expected for the area though. A nice surprise. It's part restaurant, lounge and take out counter. The inside looks nice, would have never thought you were on the 175 outside fort meade, not run down and dark enough. :) I had the banh-mi special and Vietnamese coffee. Banh-mi was good, jalapenos definitely spiced it up a bit but not the freshest banh-mi I've ever had. The coffee was from concentrate. Wait is this a vietnamese restaurant or a corner store? Come on now make same damn real coffee. :( Anyway, the food came out quick once we were finally able to put in our order so I will more than likely go back to check out the pho. More to come, hopefully real coffee next time. Hint hint Pho One-O...

I have had pho at probably 5 or 6 locations multiple times. I was super excited to see a pho place being built close to home. I placed my carry out order and waited for it to be made. When I got home with the food, two things disappointed me. 1. One of the meets was completely red. I understand the pho juice/broth is supposed to cook it, but you are making the assumption that it is hot enough to do that. By the time I made it home, which is less than 10 minutes away, the broth was luke warm. I nuked it just to be safe. 2. I was charged .50 for each carry out item! Talk about bs. If they charged an extra .50 for placing a big carry out order I might understand, but 1.50 for 3 items? Just no! The pho was actually a little sweeter than most I have tried. It is still good, but not if you don't like sweet things. As with most phos, it can be adjusted by adding the various sides into your pho. Good food at a good price, but skip the carry out if you can. The extra charge seems silly.

I always get the best service, and the food is always great. The honey sirracha wings are fantastic, as well as the chicken banh mi. You should definitely give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

I just left the PHO ONE-O located in Hanover, MD. I'm disappointed with the service, food and water after this second and final visit. The young male waiter gave me a difficult time when I tried to explain what I had the last time I was there. I asked him to help me identify my last order. Beef PHO soup with noodles. He said all of the 15 soups have beef. He repeated this several time and told me to read the menu? I was shocked at his arrogant attitude towards me. I final ordered a bowl of round steak PHO, spring rolls and water. The water taste like unfiltered tap water. The spring rolls were warm not hot and the soup take like lightly flavored water. When I was here last time the beef was pink and cooked in the extremely hot soup, full of flavor. This time the beef was already cooked (over cooked) the soup was warm. The service was slow when it came to getting my order. There were only 9 0people there when I got there; 6 of them were waiting for their food. The waiter spent time watching TV and talking to co-workers. He came to the table one time to offer water. There are too many other places to eat in this area so I won't be going back to PHO One-O.

I LOVE pho!! I usually get my pho from Miss Saigon (in GB) or Life Pho (in SP) but this was my first time here. I wanted pho that was close to work and I think I found my go to spot! It's funny because my hubs came home from his barber with a business card from Pho-One-O last year before they opened;I can't believe how long it took me to try it out!! This broth is so much tastier than any other that I've had. Maybe it's because I haven't had pho in a few weeks but this place, for sure, will satisfy your pho cravings! :) I brought my sons with me and even my youngest son ate all his pho! And here's a bonus...they have banh mi!!! Yes...yummy Vietnamese sandwiches! I need to try them next time because my son ordered it and was full after eating 2/3 of it...and he's a BIG eater!! (You know...growing boys) But yes...banh mi is a great meal when you want something different from pho. The atmosphere is also great...the lounge area looks like it would be a comfy place to chill out at night. I wonder how the night scene looks in here. ;) I will definitely be back! Probably with my whole family next time!Thank you for a great experience at Pho-One-O!

(Cross-posted from Facebook, same customer) Overall the food was really excellent in quality. The prices are great (especially compared to other pho restaurants in the area), the portions are fantastic, and the broth on the pho is really spot on. What is a bit lacking though is accuracy in service. It's their first official day, so it might have been slammed when it took 30 minutes to get my carry-out order for sandwiches. I got shorted a sandwich too, but that's my fault for not checking the bag before I left. I think when they get used to business rushes it'll be the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. All in all, my family will definitely be coming here at least once a week, especially for their banh mi!

This place is so good. To start, we split the Vanh Mi sandwich. It was very yummy. I then had the Vermicelli with lemongrass beef. The beef was amazingly delicious and very flavorful. I can't wait to come back to here which will be very soon!

We are extremely disappointed with this place. We had high hope for it as it also serves Banh Mi so that we don't have to drive to Eden Center in VA anymore. But everything tasted awful. I ordered the supposedly "fresh" sugarcane drink and it came out tasting "rotten" and old. One sip and I had to spit it back into the glass. I brought it to the waiter's attention and I felt like he wasn't surprised at all. But he nicely exchanged it for the Thai Iced Tea which consisted of 90% creamer and ~10% Thai Tea. We ordered the grilled pork Banh Mi. It was definitely lacking substance. There was only a few pieces of pork inside and very little pickled veggies compare to size of the hoagie itself. They went overboard with the mayo spread. I could not finished my Pho. The broth wasn't hot enough which makes the meat tasted really weird. Also, one piece of beef had a bit of cow fat stuck to it. I literally had to spit it back out because it was so grossed. My husband had a large bowl and literally there was only 4 slices of beef and 2 pieces of tripe in the bowl. The best part about our dinning experience was when we asked the waiter/hostess (when he walked by) for a scissor to cut the noodles up for our toddler. He completely caught us off guard by responding "No, we don't have scissors" and walked away. We have never been denied of a scissor in a Pho restaurant before! These people need to understand that some of us have to dine with little kids. We eventually got a scissor when we asked our assigned waiter. As a Vietnamese I don't expect Pho restaurants to be excellent after all most of us prefer and know how to make Pho at home. But we do expect it to be somewhat decent when we go out to eat. Our toddler loves Pho and after 3 spoons we refused to eat it. The only thing this place got on others is location as there aren't many Pho spots in the area. But if you don't mind the drive, go up to Rt. 40 in Catonsville (Pho Van, Pho Saigon...) where the food are a lot more decent.

Came in to order a Banh-mi to go and stood for a few minutes at the hostess stand before being approached. The man who finally came to the hostess stand was very nice and provided me with a take out menu to browse. He walked away and I sat in their very nice lounge area. Once I decided what I was going to get, I didn't know where to go to order it. I decided to walk up to the bar and order there. The bartender didn't acknowledge my presence until I motioned for him that I needed something. I ordered my sandwich and waited about 15 minutes for it to arrive. I paid and left. Once I got to my house, I was very happy with the sandwich. It was very good with a substantial portion of thin sliced beef and pickled veggies. I'm not a jalapeno fan ,so I picked those out. For 5 bucks, I thought it was an on-point sandwich. I'll definitely go back to dine in and try some of their other offerings, as their menu looked pretty extensive. The restaurant is really nice inside and can definitely accommodate a large party if you had one.

It's about time this area has good Pho. Everything is fresh and made with authenticity. From the lemongrass chicken vermicelli to the beef meatball pho, I can't complain about what I've ordered from here. Family-owned and operated, you can't beat it.

The pho is absolutely delicious, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Came here with a group of 6 and service was good. Pho is up to par and definitely authentic Vietnamese.

Went there twice and most likely never again... Food Issues: First off, pho soup tastes almost like plain water. They added so much water that the taste is diluted. Second, fresh spring rolls sauce tastes like peanut butter. Plus at $9 for a large bowl, very little meat was given. Third, the basil and bean sprouts provided with their PHO is ROTTEN. They try to compare themselves to Eden Center in Falls Church, Virginia...and that they are NOT. Service issues: First time there the restaurant gave an incorrect change ($1 short) back after the meal. The second time there, the waiter took the order. We sat there for almost 20 minutes. Other customers walked in, placed the order and got their food. We still sat there waiting for our appetizer and entree. We asked for the owner who came and gave an excuse that the order bill was stuck with another bill WITHOUT knowing that our waiter confessed to us that he FORGOT to put in the order. Nothing was done to rectify the issue except excuses after another. We still gave 10% tip... Price: For a Vietnamese Restaurant that is situated in the middle of nowhere in Maryland to charge more than almost every Pho and Vietnamese restaurants in Northern Virginia; Arlington (high rent district), Falls Church (Eden Center), and Springfield, it is not worth eating at Pho One-O.

It's all about service that makes a good first impression on any restaurant. I'm a fan of An Loi/Pho Dat Than in Columbia, MD. Problem is sometimes the distance is too much just for Pho so I was excited to hear about a Pho One-0 opening up literally 5 min drive away from me. As I approach, the dark tinted windows seemed very discreetly ora for a restaurant as I walking towards the front door. I walked in and noticed....no hostess, no greeting, and no acknowledgement except a sign saying "please wait to be seated". I waited....waited...waited looking like a total new customer for a must've been members only club of the sort. I waited literally 10 mins until a server came. No smile or greeting, just looking at me wondering how many, I said 1. He sat me down with a menu. Didn't ask me for a drink or even brought water. I was scrolling through the menu and closed it placing it to the side signaling to anyone that I was ready. I did't receive any acknowledgment and there was another server who was bobbling his head jamming out to music with his iPhone earbuds. I wanted to place an order but the server didn't show for 10 mins. I was watching youtube mini episodes that were 5 mins each on my phone. Server finally came and asked what I would like, I ordered the spring rolls, large pho, and root beer. Mind you, he never brought my water for the past 20mins I was there. I'm looking around the restaurant to see if it's buy but they only had 4 tables at the time so it wasn't hectic. Another 10 mins pass by and spring rolls, water, and soda came in. He left without saying a word and to top it off, he gave me no straws for my drinks while everyone else had their straws. Spring rolls were OK but then again maybe I was so pissed off at this point I didn't much care about critiquing the food due to starvation. Another couple walks and they experienced the same introduction just waiting at the front of the door looking puzzled and they sat themselves down. The same server serving me noticed them and started serving them immediately. WTF is that about? Pho came out afterward and it was OK but again at this point I just wanted to eat. I ordered the Bhan Mi of their grilled pork to go as well. It was good at home once I cooled off. Just for Pho I literally wasted almost 1.5 driving and dining in for a location that takes me 5 mins to drive. The service is slow and unacceptable for any restaurant business. All in all, this place needs serious management. Instead of focusing on the nightclub/lounge atmosphere, they need to focus on the restaurant side which could and would be the serious successful income for it's location since it's the ONLY PHO location besides distasteful PHUBS. If they keep going at this rate, they won't last a year or so. I'll give them a rebuttal opportunity when I go again but I do hope someone will manage the employees and train them well.

My boyfriend and I went for lunch during the grand opening. I ordered pho and he wanted to order a hot dish, but they said they couldn't grill anything because there was no gas. That definitely made me raise my eyebrows. How can you have a grand opening and not be able to serve more than 60% of what's on the menu? The only thing they could give us was pre-made pho and Banh Mi. My boyfriend opts for a banh mi which we were super excited to see on the menu. But it was SO beyond disappointing. 1) Way too much bread. When it comes to banh mi, the bread is important. This banh mi just had a thick roll of bread that was hard and tasted like paper. The bread wasn't even toasted or anything. 2) The inside of the banh mi was bland and unflavorful. There needs to be more cole slaw or sauce or SOMETHING, so it's not so DRY! It just tasted like a lot of bread and a piece of meat inside. 3) The banh mi was COLD and like I said...dry. Most banh mis have some sort of warmth or toastyness to it. Compared to Philadelphia's banh mis, this was just shameful. The pho was alright. Not terrible, but not amazing. I might give it a second try to see how their other dishes are and maybe by then they will have fixed the banh mi, so it actually tastes like banh mi... Oh yeah, and the service was mediocre at best. They were extremely slow and inattentive as many reviewers have already said.

My family loves this food! We live five minutes away. When it first got here, we went 3 times in one week. We now go around once every 3 weeks. My dad likes the pho brisket. My mom loves the bundled noodles. I love steak pho. Not a fan of the meatballs tho.

I recently heard about the bahn mi's here and decided to give it a try and I have been hooked ever since. I always ask for extra veggies because they are kinda skimpy with the veggies. My favorite is the grilled chicken one. You have to try it!!

This is a nice addition to a rather bland selection in the area. A small, growing family owned business that is learning the ropes. After 3 visits I have found the staff most willing to accommodate my requests. Chien, the chef, is anxious to fulfill unique requests with in reason. Over thanksgiving I placed a sizable carry out order. The appetizers were excellent, fresh and warm. Chien ensured I knew proper presentation and correct sauce pairings. The food was a hit. I am pleased pho one-o is readily accessible. The food is good and the price is right. The owners are more than willing to correct discrepancies and the young staff is growing into the difficult task of customer satisfaction.

Its a nice place - combination (restaurant & bar) tried pho for the first time. Large and small is pretty much the same just more broth for an extra $1. Amount of beef & noodle not really much. The taste of the broth is pretty good/refreshing. I tried a few pho places in Maryland and this is the best place....so far.....definitely a good hangover food. Although they close pretty early, it's definitely worth to try. Price is reasonable $$ and they have big screen tv's. So pretty relaxing atmosphere.

Food was great! It came out a bit slower than some other pho places I've been to, but it was very busy. I hear they are opening up a lounge, so I'll have to stop in at some point to check it out.

I was not expecting the awesomeness that I walked into. From the outside this place doesn't look like much, but you walk in and it's very clean and nicely decorated. The service was incredibly fast as is normal for pho restaurants and the whole staff was very friendly. As for the pho itself the broth was very flavorful and the meat tender, I really couldn't ask for more. I look forward to coming back!

So excited to have a Pho place near us. And one that is good! Had the P3 (Rounds steak and Brisket) and the summer rolls. Also notice there was a stage and bar. Looking forward to live entertainment one night.
