Lima’s Chicken Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Cafeteria-style ordering, no wait service. Just order at the counter on your way in, then sit yourself at a table. Desserts are in the fridge (flan) or at the cash register (alfajores cookies). There's also a drive-thru window. It's good for what it is, which for most people is charbroiled chicken with two sides. I prefer the Carne Asada, a thin, marinated and tenderized flank steak grilled with bell peppers and onions. My preferred sides are the yucca fries and the cilantro rice. Like another reviewer mentioned, the plantains are a little different: they have a thin, blackened crispy edge, which I thought was nice, makes them a little more firm and less mushy. Of the desserts, I've only had the flan, which was a much thicker consistency than I'm used to, but it's not bad. Just a little different than other places. Most of their food can be pretty oily/greasy. After you finish, you might notice a shiny pool of oil at the bottom of your plate or container. So if you're grease-conscious and don't like shiny lips after a meal, you might not enjoy this food much. But it is well-seasoned and satisfying portions.

Ordered a whole chicken combo which came with two sides (I chose white rice and string beans). Everything was on point and the staff is friendly & prompt. I really liked the green sauce which was also included. My wife and four year old son also enjoyed the meal.

Not for Americans who come from the flavorless South or Midwest. Or maybe it is for them! Ask Anthony Bourdaine what he thinks about Peruvian cuisine and he'll tell you it's some of the most flavorful in all the world. And with 4-5 locations in The Maryland area, I think the locals have figured this out too. Food amazing, seating ambiance nothing special, but who cares, did I mention the food. I was expecting a little more spice, which you can get with their green salsa - which is not Mexican salsa verde, it is much much better. Try the Lomo Saltado or the Ceviche, can't go wrong. Get the Inca cola, yucca and the platanos and you'll sing this places praises.

Where should I began? The portions was great; however the chicken needed more flavor; the rice was dried out like it's been sitting all day. Won't stop here again; I'll stick Coco Rico Springfield Va,

The chicken was good and sides were generous. However, it looked like the yucca fries had been sitting out for a bit and some of my plantains weren't fried through and were tougher than I would have liked. I thought it was strange that they didn't put the beans in a separate container, but instead put it in the styrofoam carryout box, where it could easily leak. Also I thought their green sauce was interesting - creamier than what I'm used to. Not better or worse, just different. Not a bad place, but I think I've been spoiled with some really awesome chicken in Baltimore City. I will say that the place is clean and spacious, which I appreciated.

Oh my gosh!! I love Peruvian food and this place is a serious palate pleaser!!! I really love this place and could eat here several times a week. Seriously. The charbroiled chicken is very flavorful throughout, the seasoning isn't just on the outside. Make sure you try the scrumptious green sauce on the chicken and order plantains and arrozo for your sides, all are equally delicious! Service is fast and friendly and everything was fresh and YUMMY! I couldn't wait to get my meal in my belly! Sounds greedy, I know...but it's true!

I attempted to order food for a meeting. Their website says they offered delivery. When I went to contact them about delivery to a location about 1.3 miles from their location. I was informed the minimum order for delivery is $100. Needless to say this is an absolute sham of a delivery service. Obviously they feel it works best to leave money on the table. I hope you get your act together.

Loves lima!! Chicken is always great... fresh and seasoned to perfection. Plaintains... delish. Fried rice is the best I've had from a Peruvian restaurant. Great place to come when you are hungry because the chicken is no wait and fresh. Beef burrito is messy but yummy. There are these homemade cookies with Carmel and coconut... soooo yummy. They are in a container next to the cash register. Get one. Yummmmmmy! Staff are very nice.

Loss of one star for the sweltering conditions I had to endure during my dine in experience. I could actually feel the sweat trickling down my back. There was no A/C or ventilation inside the restaurant. I opted for the 1/4 dark with sides of cilantro rice and plantains. The cilantro rice was very good and the plantains were a little crispier than I like but were tasty as well. Out of curiosity, I asked about their military discounts. The cashier said if you spend $25 or more you get a discount. Um, okay. A bit much to ask of someone especially when the majority of people are purchasing lunch for themselves and a buddy. I could see it as beneficial if ordering for the office and if hosting a lunch there. To each their own. I'm unsure of how long this Lima's has been open but it was basic decoration and limited staff maintaining the dining area and tending to the line snaking out of the door. I'm trying to be fair but I do think that I am partial to dining at Saldi's when it comes to Peruvian inspired chicken and fixings. Not a terrible experience but I'mma need ya to step ya game up if you intend to be the recipient of any of my coins.

At Lima's Chicken you will find the most delicious rotisserie chicken, grilled steak and Peruvian dishes prepared with ingredients of the highest quality. Everything looks very fresh and smells delicious the moment you walk in through their doors. Reading the menu is a bit overwhelming since there are a lot of different dishes you can order and for someone like me who has never had Peruvian food before, you tend to be a little overwhelmed. I ordered the Carne Asada which was grilled steak and onions with two sides, my sides consisted of black beans and French fries that were drenched in some sort of gravy (that was amazing). My boyfriend ordered chicken tacos (come in threes) that came in flour tortillas with lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Our total came to $23.00 for the two of us. My friends have had the Peruvian dishes here which consist of Peruvian Ceviche (Fresh fish in lime juice mixed with special spices) and Lomo Saltado (Seasoned with soy sauce and yellow peppers). I have not had these yet but I will soon try them! The restaurant inside used to be a Friendly's restaurant, however, this establishment no longer resembles Friendly's at all and the inside is now fresh, clean and provides a family atmosphere with clean bathrooms! Please note that there are multiple deals at Lima's Chicken. Some of the best deals are currently on her website which can be viewed at this link: limaschicken.com . If you cannot view the link then here some are: $17.95 for a whole chicken and two sides, $9.65 for a 1/2 chicken and two sides, $6.45 for a ¼ dark meat chicken and two sides and $7.25 for a ¼ white meat chicken and two sides.

It's great to find a Peruvian restaurant here, it is! We love Peruvian food and this will be our spot for our cravings. The restaurant was clean and service was fast. The rotisserie chicken was well seasoned and moist. The rice with cilantro was good. The pinto beans were a bit bland but nothing that a bit of salt can't fix. Yuca fries were the bomb with that yellow sauce. Sweet plantains were delicious. We loved it all! Last but not least is the Tres Leches cake. It is excellent!!! Every time we get a delicious meal.

Really good food.! This was surprise find as I was searching for food to eat while traveling. I wanted something different and found this on yelp and bingo! Really glad I went and I will definitely go back. Great customer service, people were very friendly, and the food was a homerun. I especially like the plantains. Those were so yummy! Cooked to perfection and tasty.

Lima's chicken is the man (woman). I love it. I'm pretty damn happy this opened up at this location, it's some great Peruvian chicken. It is pretty greasy, you can't eat this every day, but once a week is fine... ha. Highly recommend the plantains.

Caught my eye from the road and wanted to see how what they had to offer. I saw other Latin restaurants such as El Pollo Rico that had average food so I was looking forward to a difference with this restaurant unfortunately that was not the case. The food was pretty average, still better than a giant rotisserie because it had a grilled flavor. Decor - 4 of 5 Service - 3 of 5 Food - 3 of 5

Just moved into the neighborhood last week and was wondering how long it would be before I ended up trying out Limas. Well, it took 1 week. I rarely go to any other Peruvian chicken joint but sardis, but seeing as this spot is right down the street I had to give it a shot. Took the family in for a late dinner tonight and upon entering I was impressed. The place is very clean, and the inside os set up pretty nice. After looking over the menu I looked at my lady and asked what she was getting, and of course we both wanted the same thing Lomo Saltado. My daughter decided she would get the steak burrito. We sit inside waiting on our order to be up and the suspence is killing me. Could it be? Will it be? There it is! The order comes out and YESSSSS!!!! Actually no it wasn't because my lady didn't want to dine in so I had to wait a few more minutes as we took the car ride home. So we bend the corner and I got the fresh prince of bel air theme aong in.my head where he goes "looked at my castle I was finally there..." the rest doesn't really apply, but I was home with my food that i was about to get jiggy with. Pull into the parking space and everything was going my way. I grabbed the food, opened the car door and boom! I dropped the whole bag of food all over the curve. Now what do i do? I wake up from that pretend sequence, and take my food into the house with my family. I put the food on the dinner table and take a peak at my order..... I pause.... for 12 bucks I immediately thought the portion was kind of skimpy, but before I could complete that thought my daughter burst into tears. Will I ever taste this food? Apparently not for at least the next 10 minutes. So after we calms the chilm. Yes I said chilm. I grab my box snap a few yelp pics and go to town. From the first bite I knew that this place was different. The food was decent, but in the back of my mind I knew it just wasn't sardis. The yellow sauce was thin, and the green was too. I'll stick to getting my Lomo fix elsewhere, but I will atleast save further judgment until I try the chicken... seeing as how it is Limas Chicken, and not Limas Lomo Saltado. Overall I wasn't blown away from my first trip, but I will go back to try out more of the menu.

A colleague of mine and I stopped in here for lunch while in the Jessup, MD area and wow am I glad we did. I got the 1/2 chicken meal with fried rice and green beans. The chicken was super flavorful and probably the tenderest and juiciest chicken I have ever had in my life. My coworker was generous enough to share some of his fried plantains with me and they were exceptional!! it looks like a fast food joint from the outside but the food sure isn't. excellent, excellent, excellent. I can't wait to go back!!!

  • Christine A.

Slightly above average Peruvian rotisserie digs. Juicy chicken, generous side portions, and pretty solid steak tacos! Surprisingly, the veggie selections are super fresh and not overcooked, like most establishments that don't focus on the quality of their sides. Definitely a good place for lunch or a quick dinner to-go stop. Good enough to keep coming back to.

  • Tammie R.

**Whole Chicken** The chicken was okay but does not compare to Peri Peri. Also we felt very dehydrated later from the very high sodium/salt. **Sides**The yucca fries and cilantro rice was yummy. **Desserts** However, the Tres Leche (Three Milks)cake was horrible! The bottom half of the cake was dry ! And they topped the cake with peaches (WEIRD).

Great place to grab a paleoesque bite to eat. I've been a half a dozen times since its opening and never have I had dry chicken or tough meat. Stay away from the generic stuff and stick with what they do best, Peruvian food. What I like: Fast service Fantastic chicken Yummy Plantains Rice and Black Beans Corazon Dislikes: Sides can be a little inconsistent, sometimes good sometimes bland Some of the staff are a little lost

  • H D.

Greatttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable food. Everything is made fresh and for anything special there is not a long wait. So if you are in the neighborhood remember to stop by for a great meal!

You can't beat the amount of food you get for the price! The food is always on point and the staff is friendly! If you want to change an option for food, no problem, they are more than willing to work with you. The atmosphere is quiet enough and it can be easily found. Again, I can't stress enough how good the food and portion size is for your money!

As a world traveler I am always in search of really good food. At Lima's Chicken we've found a other jewel! After several trips and sharing with a large group of friends we can unequivocally say this is one of the best places around plus the prices are cheap Their light yellow aioli sauce..addicting!! Cilantro rice- addicting and fresh Chicken- crispy skin, incredibly flavorful ALL the way through...moist...tender. my Peruvian friends agree it tastes authentic Green beans- wow! slightly crisp. .not soggy. Cooked with seasoning and onions Mixed vegs-also slight crunch..what a treat to find food like you'd cook at home. Very, very impressed and the best place to get a quality meal that is not "fast food" Amen!

What a surprising treat to be discovered. I came across this place due to my wife's work friend. Absolutely amazing Peruvian Cuisine in what appears to be an old fast food joint. Appears to be a family style ran business and everyone is very nice and the food is quickly prepared and fresh. The food was excellent, and we've dinned both in and picked up multiple occasions to date (about 6 so far, and the number is still rising). Great food, close location (next to planet fitness in Hanover).

I absolutely love Limas. It's very affordable for the amount of food that they give and the food is always fresh and delicious. We often get office lunches here. The quarter chicken, fried rice and beans are always amazing. They even make vegetables taste good, highly recommend the broccoli. I think I come here at least once a week.

  • Liz N.

Not bad... better than any one that I've had in DC but not sardis. Their fried rice had bell peppers in it, the potatoes were boil instead of fried, but their portions were priced nicely and their chicken was delicious. They also have the amarillo sauce but had sriarcha on the table... where's my salsa verde?!? My friends live in owen mills so this was a 10 min drive to their house, but def worth the food.. the rest of the area looks kinda dead.

  • Lynna K.

The chicken is good. The plantains are AWESOME! And there is a mustard sauce they serve that makes the chicken taste incredible. It was juicy and the portions are huge. The fried rice is ok but the cilantro rice is great if it is fresh.

The chicken is spiced tasty which reminds you of Boston. The restaurant has interesting Peruian menu but the place even though its newly renovated have signs of dirtiness.

  • Jessica M.

I love the chicken burritos here. I especially love that I can go through the drivethrough after a busy day and not have to cart my kids out to get quick service from delicious food. Love the cilantro rice as well. I go here 3-4 times a month and it's always the same consistent great flavor. Don't forget to try the sauces. So good.

Went tonight for dinner and loved it. We were greeted warmly by who appeared to be the owner, checked on the menu on the wall, and ordered. Hubby had the parrillada de mar y mierra (combo platter with a skewer of grilled shrimp, a quarter of dark Peruvian chicken, and steak served with a small salad and french fries...$13.75) and I got the steak tacos and added avacado ($8.50). I also ordered two Peruvian cookies for dessert ($1.99 each), and two drinks. The total was $31. and some change. Not cheap for a place where you order from the counter, but after tasting the food, it was DELICIOUS! Everything was really, really good and I felt worth every penny. My husband loves Peruvian food and kept saying "we HAVE to come back here!" The restaurant is located where the old Friendly's used to be on Annapolis Road in the same shopping center as Planet Fitness and Taco Bell. I'm not sure if this is a chain restaurant (by the looks of it I don't think it is), so buy local, people! Support the local businesses in the area and give them a try. It sure as hell beats Taco Bell next door!

Great place to stop for family meal. Feeds family of 4 for less than $20. Place is clean and staff is nice. I'm always craving Sardi's and El Pollo Rico Chicken. FINALLY a good Peruvian Chicken place to stop at near Ft Meade.

One of the best Latin restaurants I've been too. Didn't notice the place until someone pointed it out to me (the location used to be a Denny's I think). The decor is very open, and the staff is really friendly and make great recommendations. Usually cleanliness if good, but on more than a few occasions there have been tables left uncleaned and floor spills left unswept; but you can always order take-out and/or try the drive-thru. The dishes are beyond tasty, though sometimes a little high in salt. I'd personally recommend ceviche & yucca with every order, but that's just me. Definitely ask if they have any tres leche (dessert item) though, it's very sweet but really good.

  • Rachel S.

The food was ok. My stomach isn't feeling it's best. Chicken was dry but the rice with cilantro was about all I really enjoyed. Oh, and don't bother using your "buy one entree and two drinks and get another entree free" coupon. All they do is take a few cents off each item. He said "sorry that's how it is in the system". We pretty much got a free drink in the end. Rip off. Don't think I'll go back. Hanover location.

  • Lauren E.

First time here and not impressed. They're steak burrito had virtually no meat in it (Chipotle is better). They're yellow sauce is pretty good, I'll give them that. But it's really tacky having a boom box BLASTING music over near the drinks. They're sweet tea is disgusting! I tried it but won't be coming back. Not recommended.

Now I'm totally spoiled for rotisserie - style chicken, just ate at Lima's Chicken. Absolutely the best chicken I've had in ages, might just be the best ever! The white meat was so moist. Spices were perfection. I has plantains (I do wish they'd have pan fried them, not deep fried them, as they are better pan fried IMO), yucca (REALLY good, I used to make both in Puerto Rico & order them if they were available & we had enough cash to eat out...I ate a lot of them & missed them but it's not something others in the family likes enough to go to all the trouble)...I tasted my son's cole slaw & it is FANTASTIC - it's got a light, cool flavor that's a great counterpoint to the heavier cabbage. They have these cookies called, I think Al Fajardos or something, sort of a cross between shortbread & cake, filling in between is also on the outside & includes nuts, coconut, & fruit, I THINK...whatever they make them with, when we get to heaven, those will be on the menu, I'm sure of that (along with all the good, fattening stuff thst was supposed to be health food until the devil got ticked at God & put fat & calories in them). Anyway, they do take out & cafeteria style eat in, & it's worth it no matter which you choose.

Stopped in on late Thursday evening, March 27th. Hand written 'Now Hiring' signs on the doors seemed a bit unprofessional, as did the Sharpie'd price changes written directly on the menu board. Ordered the chicken burrito but wanted to make an adjustment to the ingredients, the guy behind the counter just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Gave up trying after a second attempt and let the guy run my card. Waited about five minutes and then the guy asked for my card again even though I'd already paid. Showed him my receipt and he handed over my food. Noticed an off-putting smell after getting home and unwrapping the foil from the burrito but chalked it up to a new style of food and perhaps different cooking methods/spices. Mistake #1. Took a bite and it tasted okay so I disregarded the odd smell and finished the burrito. Mistake #2. Six/seven hours later, around 3 A.M., I was in my bathroom vomiting repeatedly. Thanks for the food poisoning. First and last visit to this place.

A little bit pricey when compared with other simlar establishments. Good food, but average service. They could give a better portion of side orders...dont be at the end of .....otherwise, you will get the scraps....burned,dried and smaller portion of side orders - rice, yucca and french fries. What keeps me going back there is the convenience and fast service for carryout...when craving for a hot meal. This review is based on my experience with District Taco in Washington DC....best food and service ever....for most of the time....definitely a great value for your buck.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. He ordered the special (quarter chicken with salad and rice) and I ordered the Carne Asada. Both dishes were delicious. However, for some reason it took 45 minutes for me to get my order. By the time I received it, I had lost my appetite and took the food home. Before you order the Carne Asada, make sure you ask them how long it will take to make.

This is probably my favorite lunch spot. I eat lunch here about twice a week. I love the steak burritos! Other items have been hit or miss. My coworkers like the rotisserie chicken, though I've never tried it personally. It Can be quite busy at lunchtime, so I tend to call ahead for carry out orders.

  • Ky T.

The first time I tried this location the plantain & chicken were great. The green beans weren't bad and the fried rice was horrible. I mean really so bad I needed to throw it away after 2 bites. I also noticed there seemed to be no AC on at the start of the summer which I thought was odd. On the second visit, I was surprised to find there still seemed to be no AC running on a 90 degree day and there were an incredible amount of flies buzzing around the open food. I was with a friend ordering lunch and could not bring myself to have anything as the flies grossed me out. She said her pita had super dry chicken & soggy vegetables on it so that I am not inclined to try them out again :/

Ok ok so this place just opened up recently and 10 minutes down the road from me. As a consequence I've been here more times in the past few weeks than I'd like to admit. Given all my opportunities to try all of what they have to offer, let me break it down for you: The good: *Best yucca fries around. You can confirm this by watching the staff behind the counter snacking on them frequently *Really good, juicy, charcoal-roasted Peruvian chicken *Some of the best steak burritos I've ever had. Again, we saw the staff eating these during their meal time so we knew that was what was up. Pro-tip: ask for it made with cilantro rice *Aside from the yucca fries, really solid lineup of sides. Me and the finomcee's favorites are the cilantro rice and plaintains. Everything else is good but those definitely stand out *Desserts - alfajores (best I've had), tres leches cake, and flan are all very good and appear to be made in-store *The interior - Aside from the signature outside structure, who'd guess that this used to be a Friendly's?! Really homey looking booth seating, and walls adorned with landmarks of Peru's cultural heritage. Very cool and really nice touch. *Drive-through option! The bad: *Didn't like the shrimp. I had Sardis' in my mind, and Lima's couldn't hold a candle to it. Too much seafood taste and not enough grill *The lomo saltado (tried the chicken version with rice and the beef with noodles) was disappointing and in my opinion not worth getting. These are stir-fry dishes and in both occasions the meat was way overcooked and the flavors were muddled, almost like the pans they were fried in were used to cook a lot of other stuff without being cleansed of flavor, including seafood. *Lackluster green (spicy) sauce *A bit on the pricey side They're pretty new so some growing pains are to be expected. I think it's safe to say that Sardi's is the gold standard in Maryland when it comes to Pollo A La Brasa. Lima's is similar in ways but also different in others. If you stick to what's good here, you will be very satisfied.

This probably is one of the worst Peruvian chicken places I've ever been to. The restaurant itself, for being new, is dirty. The dining area is a clumsy jumble of tables and booths. For the area, and taste, they are way over priced. I have had better chicken from street carts or mobile food stands. Hell, KFC is even better that this. The chicken is dry and over cooked, the "flank" steak is like boot leather and the sausage was only sausage in a sense as it might have came from a pig. All in all, don't waste your time and money, go to Nando's Peri Peri in Waugh Chapel.

    (1)
  • Mandee M.

This was my first time eating Lima's and it won't be my last! Very flavorful lomo saltado; tender steak, yummy veggies & the rice was good especially with the sauce provided. The portions are good with very reasonable prices at this dine-in/take-out restaurant and I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys dishes with some spice! They serve tres leches cake by the slice (large pieces!) that is delicious, so save room for dessert.

My Puerto Rican wife and I have always liked rotisserie chicken and in California always stopped at Pollo Loco and similar places so it was nice to see Lima's Chicken here in Severn. But what surprised me this visit was the Chicken and Cheese sandwich. This local version of the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak was on a great baguette, two 6 inch halves wrapped in aluminum foil to keep it hot. It was loaded with chicken from the rotisserie, plus onions, peppers, cheese and a little mayo, juicy without being soggy and a great mix of flavors for only $7.99. And it came with fresh french fries. Not only grilled steak and rotisserie chicken, but great sandwiches. Whoda thunkit?

The smell in this place is amazing. The menu is pretty diverse and the facility itself seems very clean, albeit setup a little awkwardly. I tried the Chicken burrito, which was amazing. My only complaint was the ordering process, which was a little confusing. You order at the front of line but some dishes are prepared as you watch while some are prepared in the back (burrito). The menu said choose between black and pinto beans, but I was never given the option. Other then that, the food was tasty and prices right.

Chicken is amazing every time we come here. They actually use real charcoal and it makes all the difference. Even late at night the food is still great. Will defiantly be back for more.

Chicken, steak, burritos and the sauces. Everything else compliments the main dishes at Lima's chicken. If you want a charbroiled Chen dish come here. If you want a steak platter, come here. The side receive just as much attention such as the cilantro rice and plantains. The prices are good too. Started coming here for burritos instead of chipotle. Not a bad choice so far

  • SoCal F.

These people are smart, the rotisserie is right next to the front door. As soon as you walk in you get a big whiff of chicken that smells very good! Pretty average looking place and prices but the chicken is very good, nice spices and you can taste that it's cooked over an open flame. The rest of the items are so-so.

I drive by this location almost every day. I always wondered what their Peruvian food tasted like compared to my favorite spot Sardis. The food was ok, and it's probably not fair for me to compare the two. My favorite part about the meal was the cookies they sell near the register. They are really good. Also the portions are smaller compared to Sardi's.

Unexpected deliciousness!! Stopped here for what looked like simple, hard to mess up rotisserie chicken, only to find some of the best ceviche I've ever had (and I make my own mind you). I also had the Pollo Saltado and it was terrific!! Nothing fancy...but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Awesome chicken, clean, the new interior looks great! Just opened this weekend. I had the quarter chicken with yucca and green beans. The two sauces are great too. Finally peruvian in Severn!

The place is a dive but the food is always good. I think the chicken is prepared better than the OTHER prominent Peruvian chain in MD. I tried the steak once, it was very good.

Fast service and great food! Yellow sauce and green sauce!!!!!! This is as good or better as any Peruvian place I've been. Every time i go back, it gets better and better.

I visiited Lima's Chicken-Hanover on 12/13/2014 at 11:14 am. The food was delicious. HOWEVER, the CUSTOMER SERVICE needs a LOT of work. The servers behind the counter ACT like they are doing YOU a favor. One of the female servers like to play on spanish words ( i.e say something derogatory in Spanish with a smile). Thinking you don't understand what she is saying. In addition, I purchased the FAMILY SPECIAL for $36.95 (2 whole chichen, 2 large sides, and a 2L soda). I was OVERCHARGED $7.70 and did NOT the 2L soda. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to start my road trip that I did not check my receipt until recently. I will NOT patron that busniess again. So, BUYER BEWARE!!

I first had Peruvian chicken at a friend's house earlier this year and it was so amazing that I went searching for a nearby Peruvian restaurant. Lima seemed to fit the bill so we all went to check it out. I love how quick you get your meals (I have 2 small kids who hate waiting) and the chicken is delicious. We also get the plantains, green beans and the yucca fries - which are all very good. This location has the largest dining room and also has a drive-through which is convenient. I have turned down the radio next to the soda machine because they do tend to blast it at a high volume and you can barely hear yourself talking. The employees are a bit stand-offish and if you haven't been here before, it can be a little confusing since they don't really guide you. The prices are great - my family of four can eat here for $24!

This place is awesome! The chicken just falls off the bone and the flavors really wake up your taste buds. The plantains are delicious as well as the rice. I've never had anything that wasn't tasty. It's great for dinner when I don't feel like cooking.

Come on Lima Chicken, franchise damn it, open up a branch in Nor Cal will ya! Yes that is how much I love the chicken and cilantro rice at this place. I ate here two days running because I knew it would be a long time before I returned to eat here again. The green beans are also good, but its the chicken and cilantro rice that has me craving chicken and rice. Oh thank you nice lady in line for telling me to order the cilantro rice. The only item I thought pricey was desert. I bought a piece of flan and it cost $4.00 for a slice about 2"x5", while it was excellent it seemed overpriced. Hell with that, I want chicken and cilantro rice.

The chicken was amazing. I would have liked more side options but very clean, polite and fast service!

I eat at Limas often an never had a problem. Today I went in a ordered my meal to go. When I got home an started eating I notice a beetle in my food. I was very upset an quickly drove back to Limas an showed them the bug. They offered to make me a new meal. I told them no an that I wanted my money back. I don't plan on eating here again.

Had the takeout the second time since I've been here. The charbroiled chicken and cilantro rice with the side of plantains is the truth. Booyah!

I went to Lima's chicken in Annapolis and it was great. So when this one opened only a few minutes from home i was happy. So i loaded up the kids and wife and wished i went to Beverly however, instead I went to Lima's of Hanover. This is NOT i repeat NOT a kids friendly place. They don't have high chairs or booster seats for kids. The chicken was OK, "not as good as Annapolis" and the side were not that good at all. The staff weren't all that friendly either. When we asked for a high chair they said they don't have any so when i then asked to wrap up my food because i couldn't stay and eat with a baby on my lap they gave me an attitude. Just another example of a chain and should stop growing till it works out all of the bugs.

Finally Peruvian in Severn!! I only give it a 4 and not a 5 because they are still short of staff (hiring signs on all the doors). When I went the line was nearly out the door and this was in pouring rain. The wait was mainly because the menu is so expansive, if you've never had Peruvian, it make take some time to digest. However, the food is the bomb! Well worth it and quite reasonably priced. For example a family meal (2 chickens, 4 sides and 2-liter drink is $36. try that at KFC and you would hit $40 before you go the drink...and this is much much healthier food. There are plans for a drive thru window soon so traffic on 175 may get worse before it gets better. BTW, they also cater.

I ordered the grilled shrimp with plantains and they were both delicious. Their Spicy green sauce tastes good on everything! The servings were so big I couldn't even finish my plate. I would have given the restaurant five stars if it wasn't for the Lady who took my order over the phone. She didn't sound very polite and when I got to the restaurant to pick up my food the staff seemed jittery and nervous.

This was my first experience with Peruvian cuisine and I have to say it was quite delicious. The establishment before was a friendly's but I never ate there. When the new place opened, I decided to see what it was. Their plantains were awesome as was the chicken. I also really liked their green sauce, it had a nice spice to it.

If you're military, this is the place to go. You can get 1/4 chicken and two very generous sides for less than $7. The food is decent, healthy, cheap, and fast. Not a destination restaurant, but great for a quick lunch or dinner. This is my #1 go to spot to eat. The food could be better: the chicken isn't as perfect as the other Peruvian place I visit in College Park, but that's a half hour drive away (if traffic isn't bad). It's just a little bit spongy instead of tender and juicy like it should be. The plantains are usually a little soggy and the vegetables just a little undercooked. But as long as your expectations are appropriate, you will be fine.

Chicken was moist and flavorful, sides were good, and the price was great. Service was super-quick and the atmosphere was fine for a quick-serve restaurant. Why would anyone go to a chain chicken joint? Only downside was a boom-box blasting a local radio station. Turn it down or turn it off.

  • Sara D.

This is the best chicken I've had! It is always fresh and moist. It is perfectly seasoned. The restaurant itself is clean and bright . The employees seem happier to talk to each other than the customers but I don't mind. The sides are good. The yucca is already fired and under a heat lamp- which is why a took away one star. We have also tried the green beans and black beans both are very tasty.

  • Jeffey D.

    (3)
  • Liz N.

Not bad... better than any one that I've had in DC but not sardis.

  • Alice H.

  • Gino L.

The chicken is good. The plantains are AWESOME! And there is a mustard sauce they serve that makes the chicken taste incredible. It was juicy and the portions are huge. The fried rice is ok but the cilantro rice is great if it is fresh.

So good.

This chicken was good but I did not love the sides. Next time I will just get the chicken.

Great restaurant for a family dinner. I recommend ordering the whole chicken meal with white rice, black beans, and yucca.

  • Dawn T.

This place is awesome! The chicken just falls off the bone and the flavors really wake up your taste buds. The plantains are delicious as well as the rice. I've never had anything that wasn't tasty. It's great for dinner when I don't feel like cooking.

    (4)
  • Ada L.

  • Jerome H.

Ordered a whole chicken combo which came with two sides (I chose white rice and string beans). Everything was on point and the staff is friendly & prompt. I really liked the green sauce which was also included. My wife and four year old son also enjoyed the meal.

    (5)
  • Alice H.

  • Alyssa M.

  • Matt K.

    (3)
  • Liz N.

Not bad... better than any one that I've had in DC but not sardis.

    (1)

So good.

This chicken was good but I did not love the sides. Next time I will just get the chicken.

Great restaurant for a family dinner. I recommend ordering the whole chicken meal with white rice, black beans, and yucca.
