Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

A fun homey place to have an ice cream. It's set in an open space away from the main shopping plazas of Arbutus, for a very cute, retro, countrified feeling. You can eat inside at tables with checkerboards and checkers for an actual game - or eat outside on benches or even a nice old fashioned porch swing. Has all the usual offerings like cones, sundaes, and banana splits. They feature Hershey's ice cream, which is decent and all but not my favorite kind (it tends to be soft and overly sweet to my palate). I kind of wish they had a different brand or made their own, but this is not bad. Also the place is cash only and (as you'd expect) can be overrun with kids at times, who sometimes make the tables grubby with ice cream dribble, but I enjoy it very much when it's less crowded.

A nice little ice cream parlor within walking distance to my new place. Lots of flavors to choose from and at a good price! I'll be seeing this place alot this summer, I reckon :)

A local family favorite! Clean and quaint shoppe and friendly service. The kids love the checker tables and everyone loves ice cream! A gem!

If you haven't been to this hidden little gem in Arbutus, you're missing out! Tucked back off southwestern blvd across from the Fire Station is this little cottage, with picnic table, some adirondack rocking chairs, and a swing. Inside you will find an array of Hershey's Ice Cream that is so cheap you'll think it's decades ago! For $1.35 you get a huge single dip of your choice and for $2.55 a double dip. When a family of 4 can walk out spending less than $5, you know you've found a place worth visiting often!!! Just a heads up--they only accept cash, so make sure you have some on you, though they do have an atm just in case!

I had a dish of the soft vanilla. Really did not like the overall taste or consistency. Ice cream hard to dislike, but dislike it i did.

I might be a bit rough on ice cream places, but can we get a plcae that MAKES ice cream instead of ordering it from a huge company that makes and ships it hundreds of miles? This place is cute, but the ice cream is Hershey's. I liked the ice cream enough to go when craving, but it has freezer burn taste in it everytime. I will admit, the scoop size is very generous. I asked for 1 scoop, and I got a cone topped high enough to feed 3-4 children. They do not take anything but cash, no matter how many people you are buying for and have an ATM by the register that is uaully able to give you cash. This is annoying and more expensive if you don't go to your bank first. Might go back, but I'm still looking for a place that MAKES good ice cream and sells it.

Ice cream is great, employee personalities are always top-notch, and the owner gives back to the community! Just found out they now have 15-20 GLUTEN FREE flavors available too! Just ask your server to wash the dipper, and you'll be good to go! Stop in during non-winter and experience some outdoor grill cooking too! Yummy!

If there was ever a Food Network profile on Halethorpe, MD, this place would deserve a mention as a locals' choice for dessert. It's got the genuine community feel of a place that attracts families that have been coming for years, hires teens from the local area high school, etc. The ice cream isn't made on-site though, so that's kind of a bummer. But it doesn't detract too much from the overall experience of going out for a sweet cold treat. If you get it to stay, the tables inside the place have built-in checkerboards!

Excellent, old fashioned ice cream shop.. $1.65 for a single scoop, 2.55 for a double. Delicious hershey ice cream. nice staff. you won't be disappointed, go!

When I first stepped into the Ice Cream Cottage, I felt like I was in a time warp. I love that they had checkers on the table so you could play. The peanut butter ice cream was great. I would definitely recommend.

The brownie sundae is to die for! So is the banana split and the ice cream as well. There are checker boards on the tables that entertain a whole group and the customer service is amazing. This cute establishment is a must hit up if you are in Catonsville.

A pleasant, nostalgic trip back to the 1980s... I just loved America in the 1980s... things seemed so much simpler back then (or maybe it was because I was that much younger)? Either way I think this is why I really enjoyed coming to the Ice Cream Cottage tonight. It reminded me of the 1980s in a good way. Today we have so many choices when it comes to dessert. You got your $5 cupcakes, $7 Gelato at Patango's, $9 yogurt at Tutti Frutti, $8 Taharka Bros, etc. I don't know about you but I'm sometimes tired of the "fancy" and pretentious. For the love of the Ice Cream Man (may he rest in peace), just give me some goddamn regular ice cream in a cone and call it a day. Thankfully that's exactly what we got here -- two scoops of good ole' fashioned Hershey's ice cream in a cone plus a $4 milkshake. For someone who has become accustomed to paying $10 for a milkshake at Kilwin's this felt like the best bargain of the decade. What I loved most about Ice Cream Cottage is that its not just some stand that's open two weeks out of the year (*cough* Cindy's). This is a legitimate, year round operation. It's a stand alone building too where you can actually walk in, sit down and enjoy a $5 banana split like they used to make em'. The decor is basically bright colors, funky tables and a few wooden benches and rocking chairs outside. But its great for kids and its roomy enough where you don't feel like your in a cattle ranch. Plus the kids working here were very nice and helpful. I will say that there were a few things that needed some attention (like the broken love seat swing outside and the soft serve ice cream machine). But look, if you're just looking for a simple ice cream shop and don't feel like spending $20 for dessert, Ice Cream Cottage is the place fr you. Like I said, to me the 1980s was a simpler time. Coming here tonight brought back those fond memories.

I've been coming here since I was little. Ice Cream Cottage is old school as it gets. There's tons of flavors of Hershey ice cream, and they offer sundaes, banana splits, and snowballs too. All of the tables have checker sets painted on. I used to love sitting in there with my dad, eating ice cream and getting my butt whooped in checkers. Outside they have rocking chairs and adirondack chairs to relax in. All in all, if you want to feel like a kid again, play checkers, and enjoy some creamy Hershey's ice cream, this is your place.

Stumbled upon this charming ice creamery after dinner. What a great local find. As other reviews have already mentioned, this unassuming cottage is a suburban gem serving up a large variety of Hershey ice creams at incredibly cheap prices*. *The most expensive thing I saw on the menu was the ice cream sundae ($4.95). Three giant scoops of ice of your choosing, two bananas, three additional toppiongs (lots to choose from), whip cream, maraschino cherries. Try to finish it. Friendly service. I hear they hire local high school students. Supports the community. OVERALL: I wish I could have grown up around here just to hang out at the ice cream cottage.

This is a nice, quaint little place. They serve Hershey's ice cream. I ordered a single scoop which was a very good size portion. They don't take credit cards, so that is a little bit of a problem in 2014. They do offer an ATM inside though. There are booths inside and picnic tables, chairs, benches and a porch swing (not on a porch) outside. Or you could stand along the fence in the back overlooking the stream.

Adorable little ice cream parlor that just begs you to come in for a treat! They serve Hershey's ice cream, which I feel a loyalty to since I used to work for a Hershey's distributor years ago. Lots of flavors, good prices, and generous scoops! Booths indoors have a checker board on them, even saw a couple playing a game. Plenty of benches and picnic tables outside.

I was craving something sweet after hanging out with my friend and she found this place, so we decided to get it a try. They had a lot of different options of soft serve ice cream to choose from and let you taste different ones before making up your mind. When I walked in, I kind of felt like I was transported back in time to the 1950's because of the cute atmosphere. From the outside it looks like this cute little house and on the inside it is very clean and nicely decorated. I got a cup of ice cream and three different flavors. Prices were pretty decent, not expensive at all. It is cash only though but they have an ATM inside if you do not have any with you. Great place to come in the future while on break from UMBC. Very friendly and patient staff as well. There are a couple of places to sit inside and out as well. Overall: lots of flavors + good prices +cute decor + friendly staff = I will definitely come back for more!

This place is awesome. A shack on the side of the road with old school decor. Like others have said, the ice cream here is a steal and the prices are the cheapest I've seen in the area. It's not homemade, but it gets the job done if you happen to be craving ice cream. Remember, cash only. Easy parking. I got a banana split which came with 3 flavors and 3 toppings. It was humongous and only cost $5.25. 2 people were required to finish it. Overall, if I ever want ice cream, this will be on the top of my list.

THE place I take my family for an ice cream treat! Right around the corner from us, and very reasonably priced. I love the chocolate moose tracks, and the pistachio, in a waffle cone. Good BBQ on the weekends during warmer weather, too! If you are in the area, definitely stop in.
