J Burke Catering brought in lunch for our office. Lunch was simply wonderful - the food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! The grilled shrimp, hand carved turkey breast, and the sides were all fresh, full of flavor, and wonderfully prepared.
I was able to try some food at a small event. Everything I tried was excellent. The chicken salad wrap, barbecued turkey, shrimp and pasta salad were phenomenal!
I have used J Burke Catering a few times, and each time, Joe has exceeded my expectations! The food is amazing - restaurant quality at a reasonable price - and it's always delivered on time. They just catered a party for me with around 55 people, and every guest RAVED about the food! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think the Jail Island Salmon and Rosemary Roasted Yukon Golds were the crowd favorites. Can't wait for the next one!

When I think of what would make a great Chick-Fil-A, I dream of a new, well kept, clean exterior building and same with the interior. There should be lots of parking and easily accessible to nearby communities. The service needs to be friendly and efficient. My spicy chicken sandwich must be fresh and look just like the pictures. Waffles fries must be hot and fresh. And the manager should walk around and offer to bring us free refills and even clear our trays. Really, you ask? Yes, really. Well I didn't think of the last part until the manager actually did that for our lunch crowd. This place also feels really spacious inside with lots of room to breathe between tables (unlike some other Chik-Fil-A establishments)
Chick-Fil-A is always a winner. I guess this one is relatively new, since it was not listed on Yelp. Great customer service, and fast movement through the line. Like all of the Chick-Fil-A's. This one is conveniently next to a Super Walmart too!
Always very clean. We usually go on Tuesdays kids eat free and they always have some type of cool kids activity. This has become a weekly family night for us. The staff at chick Fila is always 5 stars but they go over and beyond at the Lansdowne chick Fila.

A fun homey place to have an ice cream. It's set in an open space away from the main shopping plazas of Arbutus, for a very cute, retro, countrified feeling. You can eat inside at tables with checkerboards and checkers for an actual game - or eat outside on benches or even a nice old fashioned porch swing. Has all the usual offerings like cones, sundaes, and banana splits. They feature Hershey's ice cream, which is decent and all but not my favorite kind (it tends to be soft and overly sweet to my palate). I kind of wish they had a different brand or made their own, but this is not bad. Also the place is cash only and (as you'd expect) can be overrun with kids at times, who sometimes make the tables grubby with ice cream dribble, but I enjoy it very much when it's less crowded.
A nice little ice cream parlor within walking distance to my new place. Lots of flavors to choose from and at a good price! I'll be seeing this place alot this summer, I reckon :)
A local family favorite! Clean and quaint shoppe and friendly service. The kids love the checker tables and everyone loves ice cream! A gem!

I have never gotten anything but high quality good from this bakery/ restaurant. Everyone is friendly. I have gotten cakes, desserts, sandwiches, breads, etc and they have all been wonderful. They are very reasonably priced. They also have staff that are friendly and willing to help! I highly recommend!
I had a custom made cake made here for my granddaughter's 17th birthday an the cake was terrible the wrong color icing the fonded was to thick on the cake picked it up the day of the party so had no choice but to use it so we had an emerald green cake an the color theme was teal an black I paid $227.00 if a cake that was horrible I would not recommend getting cakes made here at all
I had to buy some donuts for a work function and my co-worker said that I should go to Ms Desserts. I am so glad that she did! The donuts were relatively cheap and there was a wide variety to choose from. I ended up eating a peanut butter and jelly donut, which was very delicious. If you're looking for a place to go to get baked goods, you wouldn't waste a trip by heading up to Ms Desserts!

Great neighborhood sub and pizza shop that has been in business as long as I have been alive. Homemade spaghetti and pizza sauce. Great for takeout, and even has a dine-in counter. Delivery available, and quite quick at that. Give up the mega chain pizzas and try something home made. You won't regret it.
I could forgive the sub-bowling-alley quality pizza I received when I recently ordered two slices of pepperoni for $2.75 each. What I couldn't forgive was the trigger happy woman behind the register, who arbitrarily decided to charge me an extra 75 cents per slice, driving the total cost for 2 slices of truly mediocre pizza up to almost $7.50, when the price on the menu board clearly indicated the cost of a slice of pepperoni was $2.75. Maybe there was an extra charge for the cardboard-like crust, maybe there was a "carry out" fee. Or maybe she could just tell that I wasnt a "regular" and decided to take advantage of me for a couple of bucks, ensuring that I would never return. One thing for sure is that I would choose literally any other option rather than order food here again.
Pizza is great- more expensive than chains but worth it. Closed Sundays, so no football with mikes. Also next door to a liquor store- pizza and beer :)

I love this place!!!! Best pizza, best subs, best fries!!! I have eaten at Johns literally my entire life and they are great. The place burned down and has been rebuilt and updated. Now it is a sit down place too! It is a family owned business with Ms. Pat still working there- she hadn't seen me in 15 years but when she saw me she knew me. Worth the trip!!
12 dollars for a combo and they don't wear gloves.. Seriously gross. Put on some gloves, people can see you bare handing everything.. That's how people get sick.. I don't understand the presentation. I mean some genius this john guy is.. He took a shit ton of cold cuts and layered them atop a piece of bread and then put a bunch of other crap on top and called it a sandwhich? I think John's real intent is to ruin peoples jaws.
The Johns italian combo sandwich is not user friendly... It's literally an open faced sandwich PILED in excess with cheese, cold cuts, lettuce and tomato. It's frustrating becAuse unless you can dislocate your jaw you cannot eat this like a sandwich. It has enough filling for four sandwiches... It's a giant sloppy mess. People in other tables around us were complaining about the sandwich too. "I'm just going to pack this up because I can't eat it." Yes everyone likes sizable portions for what they pay, but no one wants to eat a sandwich with a fork and knife or getting lock jaw and food all over themselves in an effort to eat a sandwich as it is supposed to be eaten. My boyfriend asked the person behind the counter why they would make a sandwich this way... She said other people have complained about the sandwich too but that's how they make it.... I'm wondering why would you continue to make something if #1 you are wasting your own product (excess meat..) and #2 your customers are not happy with it. Glad I live in NY where People actually know how to make an Italian combo sandwich. Also heads up they don't use gloves.

Chappie’s

The turkey sandwich was good but the fries are always soggy.
I'm the type of guy who really enjoys a nice, solid breakfast regardless of the ambiance and fanciness level of the place I'm dining. Good old "greasy spoons" and "dives" are fine by me. And so it was that I was looking forward to trying Chappie's, having read the other reviews that largely found the food to be good. On the plus side, service was pretty good, and the coffee was better than most diner level coffee. Inv the negative side, I just didn't dig our food. We ordered two dishes to split. The cream chip beef, better described as cream on toast, was a disappointment of King Kong size proportions. Plenty of cream, but do very little chipped beef that it left me thinking I'd have done better with a Swanson frozen "chipped beef in a bag." Unforgivable. The western omelette was better, but a bit on the small side. The potatoes it was served it came in huge chunks, larger than in any home fries our hash browns I've ever experienced. And they were quite dry. The biscuit my partner had was okay, but very floury tasting. I've wavered on whether to give a two or three star review, and am going with the lower primarily because of just how skimpy the cream chipped beef was on the beef. I was really hoping for a jewel in the rough, but was unfortunately disappointed.
Not bad. Better than expected, really. The diner seating is better than the open tables in the "dining room" section from a decor perspective. The servers are friendly, but no-nonsense diner waitresses that provide genuine local color. The burgers are pretty good, and cooked to order. A decade ago, when it was just the Beltway Diner, it was pretty much the same minus the expended dining space. The menu's been revamped a little bit, and the kitchen's better than in days past. Still, a solid greasy-spoon. Good selection of pies and cakes for dessert, too.

This is my go to pizza joint! I love the pizza, sauce, cheese, and crust. I also like the wings and cheese steaks. I've had some of the other things on the menu but crave the other stuff! The restaurant is clean and family owned. They play oldies music and have beer and wine. If your looking good hot pizza this your place!
Best pizza in Baltimore hands down. Came here all the time as a kid and now make the drive from Carroll County to get a pizza at least once a month. Thin crust, great sauce.
Okay, I grew up in Arbutus and still live nearby, so Sorrento's has been in my life for a long time. It's my go-to place for an Italian cold-cut sub, and their "Steak Sorrento" sub is an amazing, gooey, cheesy version of the cheese steak with an Italian flair. While I prefer more upscale pizza, sometimes Sorrento's greasy, cheesy, thin crust pizza is exactly what I want (mostly when I'm hungover or stressed out).
