OMG...I love this place! I always order the chicken Tikka Massala (scuse the spelling errors!) I get it "Indian hot" and it is outstanding! You can get it not hot if you like too, but I like to have them make me sweat. With several lunch parties I have had most of the appitizers and they are equally as good! Not being open on the weekend certainly reduces their customer base, so you can sometimes be the only customer. Great food, wonderful service! Yes, not the best part of Hagerstown, but it is what it is. If you like Indian food, you won't be dissapointed!

My husband and I ate at the Taj Grill tonight. Located in downtown Hagerstown next to the court house. This place has the best authentic Indian food I have ever eaten. For a appetizer we had the Samosa which was very tasty. For dinner we each had Lamb Karahi. I asked for Indian hot spice and my husband had medium spice. We both agreed they were perfect. The food also was temperature hot. I chose to the the garlic nan instead of the rice. That was the way to go. The portion of nan was huge. I had enough leftovers to have this for lunch tomorrow. Oh my husband also had the lasse for a drink. He really enjoyed it. The family owned establishment was decorated very beautifully. The owners were extremely nice and made us feel at home. I really think if you like Indian food or want to try something new go to the Taj Grill. You won't regret it.

Just had dinner. Didn't expect the quality and we were pleasantly surprised. Being from new Jersey we boast on Indian food taste but Taj Grill can take any new Jersey Indian Restaurant hands down. Love you Rony for your hospitality and taste of your kitchen. :))))

Went to lunch with a friend and my six year old. We ordered all of the apps. They came out fast and hot. They were seasoned perfectly, even the hot onions on the bottom were delicious. We had both plain and garlic nan. I had the mild lamb karahi and my friend had the hot chicken Biriyani. Both were big portions and again delicious. My daughters favorites were the chicken tikka and the lamb seek Kebab. Ohh, and do yourself a favor and get the iced tea.

Kamul and his family are assets to our community. Not only are they amazing chefs and entrepreneurs, they want to make a difference in our town. Elegantly presented, our Lamb kabobs were succulent, and the Chicken Tikki Masala was a delicious favorite of ours! My Indian coffee, prepared especially for me, was HEAVENLY!! This restaurant is a fabulous find!!

My fiancé a do really enjoyed this restaurant. We are a fan of Indian cuisine! I got the chefs special which had restaurant in house made cheese, and tikka masala sauce, with the nan and rice. It was delicious! My fiancé got the chicken version of tikka malsala and enjoyed his also. It's a very quiet, small restaurant. Only downside is parking is not infront or beside of the building which could be a bummer on cold days. I'm sure we will be back!

This place is in a location where you wouldn't expect it. But everything about the restaurant is impeccable! By far the best indian food in the area. Portions are HUGE. Prices are very decent. I always get lamb karahi. The lamb is so tender and delicious, and they use the perfect amount of spices. I got mine with the garlic nan, which is definitely worth it. Even if you don't like indian food, you need to give this a try. The owners and staff are so friendly and are wonderful to speak with. They will make the food exactly how you want it. The atmosphere inside is awesome too. If you're on the fence about it, you definitely need to give it a try. If you are totally against it, you're out of your mind! Will definitely be returning many, many times.

Taj Grill is the best place to go for Indian cuisine, period. My partner and I ordered the samosas, lamb karahi, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The samosas were so flavorful and the chutney served on the side was a perfect complement. The size of the samosas were filling and they had a great kick in terms of heat, but nothing overwhelming. The lamb karahi was absolutely magnificent, the spice was just right and the lamb was so tender and succulent. With a piece of garlic naan, every bite was great. The chicken tikka masala was also very flavorful, although my partner only got the mild which isn't my palate usually. The only downside to the meals are that you must choose between basmati rice or naan, and typically an Indian dish always comes with rice. My partner made the mistake of ordering the garlic naan but it wasn't enough to soak up the sauce of the chicken tikka masala. In hindsight, I will order the rice with the meal and order the naan as an extra. Not to mention, the owners are very nice and helpful people that make you feel like family when you are there. The feat they've achieved at providing great, authentic Indian cuisine is unparalleled. I recommend anybody to go eat here.

Excellent food for the price range, I had the Lamb Karachi with the paneer Tikka as the side. What really sets them apart from local competitor's is the chefs willingness to modify the dish to your taste, I like my food burning as hot as a fresh lit cattle iron and he was willing to make that happen.

Excellent food. Small menu but I still had a hard time deciding what to order so I got a lamb appetizer and vegetarian entree. I chose the "hot" option when asked about the level of spice and it was perfect--spicy but still flavorful. The owner chatted with me for a while and was delightful. The interior was tasteful and stylish and the Bollywood music videos provided a little entertainment while waiting for my food. FYI They do not have a liquor license.

My wife and I ordered take out. We got the Lamb Seek Kabobs, Samosa's, Chicken Tikka Masala and Nan. We absolutely loved the food! It's clearly all made in-house and with care. The help is very friendly too. It's clean inside and the decor is new. The location isn't great and parking is a problem, but I assure you it's worth the trouble. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to try more things on the menu.

My daughter and I went to Taj Grill yesterday because we were at the outlets and wanted something good. Since it for great rating on Yelp, we decided to try it. While we weren't sure about the area of town, we tried it anyway. It was amazing. The food was fresh, authentic and delicious. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. I can't wait to go back.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first time there for dinner because the food was excellent, the service was inviting and the atmosphere casual. It's great to see another downtown business getting started. It's well worth supporting with your patronage if you want Hagerstown to grow and prosper. They've opened an authentic Indian restaurant and a convenience store next door and are renovating the Dagmar Hotel. The owners have taken what was a forgotten and declining location and begun turning it around. We wish them every success and we will be back.
