My favorite mom-and-pop place for chicken wings as of yet. Okay, so maybe I'm biased because I'm a close friend of theirs. On the other hand, to counter my own disclaimer, my uncle's got a similar shop and I still like the chicken here better. :P I stopped by recently and noticed immediately that it was packed! I'd recommend giving yourself some time since it isn't like K.F.C. where everything's precooked. Practically everything on their menu is made-to-order so you can expect your food to be hot and delicious! If you're like me and you like your skin extra crispy, you can ask them to fry it hard. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but something about the breading makes it really addictive. Sometimes, it doesn't get much more satisfying than a hot chicken box and a cup of half-and-half. It's one of those "you probably shouldn't try to talk to me while I'm in the middle of my wing and hot sauce induced daze because I won't hear you" kinds of good. If you're into half-and-half, I'd also recommend their triple mix. Half-and-half + a taste of summers past in a big white styrofoam cup. Try it, you'll like it. I'm partial to the wings but if I opt for a sub, I'll get it with provolone cheese, sauteed onions, peppers, tomato, a little mayo, and hots. So bomb! They have both cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks. Equally delicious in their own ways. Their fish subs and hamburger subs (yes, you read that right. A HAMBURGER sub. It's as good as it sounds...) give you even more tasty options to choose from. By the way, the fish in the fish sub managed to maintain it's crispy exterior until I got home with it. Me like. ** You should probably take note that the sign for the place says "Big T's," even though it's "Fred's Carryout" in the directory. I chuckle to myself when I see the names of the stores it's next to (you'll see what I mean if you check it out). I guess you should know parking is limited to wherever you can find it (meters, or maybe quickly stopping by on the Wachovia lot).

I grew up in this area and my mom would always run into Monaghan's. Be it to get ice, buy lottery tickets or pick up salads for their Carryout. It's a staple of the Woodlawn Village. The pub is in the back where there's a full bar & seating. The bar is a typical neighborhood bar. They have TVs, keno, food & alcohol. No bells & whistles, but still great and people still go for lunch or a non fancy schmancy dinner. Imagine the Cheers bar EXCEPT, no one knows your name & no one's glad you came.
I went here on a Sunday evening about 6-7pm, and it was fantastic. The waitress was prompt. The beverages came out quickly. The food came out quickly. The place wasn't crowded... probably 12 people there? The liquor store's entrance is in front, and the pub entrance is on the side. I had a "pit beef" with bbq sauce and horseradish, and fries. SO GOOD! The friend I went with had the cheesesteak. Very pleased. I'll definitely go again.
Every time I have gone to Monaghan's Pub it has been a great lunch experience. The food is always good and the specials are usually terrific. You get good portions and the food is much better than the chain restaurants.

In town visiting a friend and remembered this place from a few years ago. Used to order from Kianis two to three times a month. Pizza was good, food was usually on point for a sub/pizza shop. Something has gone terribly wrong at Kianis. Pizza was fresh dough at one time, not anymore. Pizza crusts are now frozen pre made variety. Garbage compared to the old crusts. Toppings were weak. It's real obvious they're cutting a lot of corners lately. Pizza was horrible. Gave them a chance at redemption by ordering subs tonight. Majorly disappointed again. Food was bland and tasteless. Appeared to be hastily thrown together. Gravy for gravy fries was so watered down and tasteless, all it did was make the fries soggy. Threw most of the food away. I will never order from them again. If you have the choice between Kianis and going hungry, choose starvation.
Been eating here for 5 years or so. Food is the best and staff as well as owner is the greatest. Delivery is fast and food is always Hot, food quality is always on point. You have to try the cheese steaks but pizza try the cheese steak pizza. Anything that you would order you won't be sorry.
They are very polite here. Their pizza taste much better then the higher priced pizza shops. I actually go out of my was for Kiani's.

When you are there try jollof rice and the coconut rice with shrimp. It is authentic and convenient. Great service!!
I loved the food here. The service is awesome as well. Beware, the food is very spicy, but it's Caribbean and African food, so that's what one expects and hopes for.
From the classy atmosphere indoors to the bold customer service, it strikes me as so far the best African restaurant in Maryland. The food is very good (jollof rice, meat, chicken, fish were what my orders consisted of) I haven't yet experienced any of what the bad reviews are stating. The setting of this restaurant is so urban for the traditional catering that I would recommend its lounge area for my african friends to throw a gathering or night out at. Regarding the neutral to negative reviews, My advice to the restaurant staff would be humility in accepting any and every client and his or her varied opinions - I am yet to see a perfect company with no mistakes. But that being said, for me, Peju's kitchen opinionatedly gets 5 stars.

This location moved up the street and now has a larger interior. The staff is friendly and, in my experience, always gets the order correct. I am a fan of the unsweetened iced tea and strawberry coolata. The drive thru is also nice and conveniently off the beltway - just be careful with the curb.
Ordered the turkey sausage egg and cheese on Texas toast...spent the entire day in the restroom. ...instead of breakfast I had a $4.09 enema! Will nevvvvveeeeerrrr return...unless I need a good cleansing to start my day!
5/4/14 Brought my sissy post baby to the nail shop on a Sunday since it is less busy to get her pedi and mani. While she was there I ventured over to grab something for her and I to eat from DD. Was greeted warmly by the staff but then they were a little distracted as it seemed one was about to leave for the day and they were trying to discuss things to wrap up her day. I was then asked for my order and he promptly took care of it. The large sweet tea for $1 is the best. I also got 3 wake up wraps and hash browns for me and my sis. All was made fresh and tasted yummy. The store was nice and neat. Staff could be a little more attentive but overall a good experience.

As always DD coffee is delicious but a big disappointment at this location is the price hike I respect independent business but the pricing difference is ridiculous. A medium iced coffee at this location is 2.53 that is much higher from the 2.09 or 2.22 I am used to paying. Have to cross this location off the list.
I was recently in this DD location. Have been a repeat customer since moving nearby in 2006. The staff has always been very pleasant to me, whether I am by myself, or with a couple family members/friends. They have gone above and beyond with very good service, numerous times. Even the Franchise Owner said hello several weeks ago, after I had not seen him for more than 2 years! My experiences here have shown me that management is on top of things. Perhaps, the price increases were becausie of a recent remodeling. No complaints here, a very loyal fan. Thank you, Hamid!!
Danger! Danger! Beware that you may be accosted by the scariest cashier ever. She was mean. The person in front of me asked her for something, maybe it had to do with the change he was supposed to receive. Girlfriend shut him down before he had finished his sentence. So by the time she came looking at me, I was shaking in my boots. All I wanted was two chocolate glazed donuts. The way she threw those donuts in the bag was enough for me to scurry away and promise myself I would never return. I'll take the extra ten minutes to drive to the one of Reisterstown Road next time.

The pizza is pretty good and the pasta is good as well. Better than Papa John's and others around the area in my opinion. Delivery is about average wait time. My only complaint is that whenever I order cheesecake they place it right on top of the hot pizza and it is basically a puddle when it arrives. Other than that, the place is pretty good!
Great pizza spot! The service was quick and the food quality was good. Overall a great experience.
Came from Michigan to visit a friend & stopped here for lunch and ordered the chicken finger dinner which was enough to feed two adults easily. Salad was fresh. fingers were fried to perfection and so were the fries. Phenomenal service as well. I'll be coming back!

Free wifi, plenty of seating, lots of parking, clean bathrooms. I had a chocolate shake (yummy and good for an insulin spike) which took a while for them to make but there were a few people ahead of me as well as drive through customers. It's supposed to be Baskin Robbins 31 flavors, right? I counted 24 flavors outside :-) Maybe they had the other 7 in the back.
