Warm, inviting staff working behind an amazing ice cream and sweet treat display. The dark chocolate & salted caramel covered krispies haunt me. I am in love.

Kilwins in Waugh Chapel is the same as Kilwins everywhere, which is admittedly a good thing. While it lacks the streetside ambiance of the Annapolis store, the location offers up the usual Kilwins fare. Good, made in house fudge and chocolate, great ice cream with freshly made cones, and the ability to make the entire surrounding area smell absolutely amazing. Take note Yankee Candle, the day you manage to make the Kilwins scented candle will be the culmination of your R&D. The icecream isn't the cheapest but the quality of both the cones and the ice cream itself is far superior to places like Basken Robins. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, though the store itself is a bit on the small side and can get rather cramped if more than 4 customers are there at the same time. Being located in Waugh Chapel allows for the benefit of ample parking.

Chocolate Chip/cappuccino ice cream, in a warm waffle cone. Service with a smile, made it taste even better. Yummy.

Amazing. The fudge its great. The best ice cream I have had. The customer service was amazing as well. I wish I asked his name, but the man who is from North Carolina was extremely helpful. He told us about the history of the company and gave us a ton of details about everything in the store. I will be going there for all my sweets!

The chocolate salted Carmel is the best. Fact is I can not order anything else! Employees have been top notch also.

I'm updating my review to give Kilwin's five stars for customer service and follow up! I received a wonderful note from Karen G -- the business owner -- addressing the concerns I raised in my review. I truly appreciate when businesses take the time to read these reviews and address customer concerns. Thank you, Karen G!

White chocolate covered marshmallows and strawberry bon bons... MMMMMMMMM... Great for my tastebuds, not great for my waistline. But I guess I can't hold them liable for my waist line =)

Stopped by after the movies to get ice cream but decided to get a ice mocha. At $7.99 I was almost certain this was going to be the bees knees but when I saw them reading the manual on how to make an ice mocha I knew then that I was wasting $8 bucks lol. Nothing special on the ice coffee, I've had way better but I did sample the vanilla ice cream and it was decent. There are a lot of options in this place that are worth explorer and I guess only time will tell so for now this place will get 2 stars with a promise to try again at a later date.

little disappointed last time...prices got higher (three ice creams, $18) and the scoop size was pretty meager compared to previous visits

Fudge, ice cream, caramel apples, and chocolate covered pretzels are just a few items that fill this quaint and cute little shop. Tucked away on the main drag of the Waugh Chapel shopping center and directly next to Houlihan's, Kilwin's is a much needed sweet shop in the area. All types of sweet goodies are far as the eye can see, invade this shop. I literally was as happy as a kid in a candy shop, only difference is it's a refined "adult" candy shop. Plenty of pre-packaged items are already waiting for a nice home to be taken to and plenty of other items are behind the glass waiting to be packed up for you. Granted, I go for the gusto when I eat, so no diet sodas or reduced fat for me (Go BIG or go home), but Kilwin's has sugar free and reduced fat options. Which of course would be good for those that have a sweet tooth but can't fully indulge. I have purchased several items for a co-worker that doesn't eat sugar and she loved all of them. It's so many options, I can't really focus when ordering. I've had the chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered graham crackers and the salted caramel apple. All of them were BOMB! Just delicious! This particular trip, I tried the ice cream and the Peruvian chocolate and regular chocolate ice creams were awesome! Very creamy and chocolaty! The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were eager to provide any answers to my questions. The owner even took the time to explain the flavors of ice cream for me. I can't come here often because I'm sure I gained 4 lbs from the soft chocolate fragrance in the air alone. Don't even get me started on the decadent ice cream I indulged in or watching the employee make the homemade caramel apples in the front of the store. I love this place!

Loved their Cinnamon Crumb Cake ice cream! Delicious! We had it in a waffle cone and it was simply heavenly on 31*F weather in Januaury. Their chocolates were very tempting for me to grab, buy, and devour. I will definitely come here again during the warmer days. :)

Ashlyn single-handedly saved my Monday morning and perhaps my entire week (we'll see). After a trying weekend, monstrous cold, a sick baby as well, a 6:30am wake up call from an overzealous contractor, a yet-to-be-put out fire regarding an event, and an inbox that looked like it hadn't been checked since the dawn of the Internet, I found myself outside of Kilwins aggressively pulled at the door, in need of a piece of chocolate badly! The thing was, I didn't know they were closed. It was 10:52 and apparently they didn't open until 11. I don't know if Ashlyn saw the look of sheer panic in my eyes or if she just took pity on me because I had a baby in a stroller, but she opened up early and took my order and was sure to wish me two "have a good day" goodbyes on my way out after I mentioned what a crummy Monday I was having. Too sweet. Thank you Kilwins and Ashlyn. A small gesture went a big way for me today.

I need to stay away from this place! OMGoodness. There are not enough words for how good everything taste! "Go back?" How 'bout sleep out front of the store! lol!

We love Kilwins so much we will drive 1.5 hours for some heavenly sea salt caramel ice cream. I am glad Kilwins is so far away because we would gain so much weight if it was closer. I grew up in Michigan and Kilwins brings back memories of up north, 'fudgies', and Mackinaw Island. While we love, love, love the ice cream, the fudge and other chocolate goodies are amazing as well.

Love Kilwin's. I usually get butter pecan ice cream, but everything else is good too. This location is better than the Baltimore location. The fudge is pretty good too, I've only had the small samples that they offer for free though so I can focus all of my attention on the ice cream!

Fudge, chocolate, rice krispie treats covered in caramel, peanut brittle, ice cream, and did I mention fudge? I did? Well it's worth talking about twice especially since on friday you get twice as much. Yes, BOGO fudge Friday. You really can't go wrong.

Dangerous! Very Dangerous! I'm glad this place didn't open while I was pregnant or I would have had my husband over there every night. Friendly workers and amazing chocolates! The striped s'mores are to die for.

Probably the best ice cream I've had yet. The chocolate and the chocolate cookie dough are two of my favorites. Just yesterday I tried the coffee chocolate chip and that was probably the best coffee I ever had. The people there are extremely nice and help you out with whatever you need. They even have nice big samples of the fudge too. They have a store which is slightly overpriced but it's still amazing.

If you are diabetic such as me you might want to make this place the last place you visit if you want to Happily go into a diabetic coma... The chocolate covered Twinkie is enough to stop your heart and increase your blood sugar.
