Due to the *ahem* infuriating logic of Montgomery County's liquor board my brother-in-law who just turned 21 could not be served on his birthday at midnight because it was still the day before...huh? The bartenders upheld their end of the law (professionally and calmly I would very much like to say) and explained the rule to my already imbibing self. They promised to take care of us if we returned the next day. We did, and even though it was different bartenders they still upheld it! They gave us A+ service, explained the unwritten rules of the bar to my BIL, and were generally excellent hosts. The rest of the bar is a typical sports bar. Great wings, tvs, and regulars yelling in boisterous enthusiasm. An excellent place to go for a spell and sip.

Crap drive bar in QO. I would rather go across the parking lot to b dubs and eat their microwaved wings than deal with the awful customer service at this place. I came in during my lunch break with a co worker, an older woman behind the bar neglected to greet us for at least 10 minutes. It looked as though she knew the men at the end of the bar. We had 1 hour for our break and were late getting back to the office due to slow service. When we were finally looked at, she almost seemed mad we came in. I guess we spoiled her flirt fest. We both ordered the special of the day and it was a sandwich that looked like it was smashed together by an infant with week old meat. Barf. Anyway, needless to say I will NOT be returning back here and I will make sure no one from my office building will either. Get your sh*t together, Quincys

Food is marvelous ...!! But the music not so quite last time I came they we're playing country all night country is boring !! Mix it up with rap hip hop rock then I be satisfied and it seems like it's always busy here maybe because the food is good ? In addition , there drinks are perfect !

Extremely good food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices!

Cheap beer, fast service, decent food. We came for happy hour and stayed past Trivia night.. trivia night is not easy fyi. So after buying an ungodly amount of beer and at least 10 tequila shots.. i only left with a $113 damage.. not bad for 8 hrs of drinking and buying multiple rounds.

  • Charlene M.

Good beer and good food but there are no outside seats for non-smokers. :( people who do not smoke enjoy sitting outside too.

Found this place after joining a nearby gym. The food is fantastic, service good, atmosphere was inviting and other guests were friendly. A favorite of mine.

  • Katie M.

Service is always friendly and efficient! Bartenders are knowledgeable and approachable. The crowd is a mix from 20's and up on any given day but it works somehow. One of my favorite places in Gaithersburg!

SUNDAY FUN DAY w/ Katie and Jen. Great times! Highly recommend it..... $10 HUGE domestic pitchers great food fun and the regulars easily mix with the not so regular. Old young everyone comes here....like being at home. Owners are always present and the staff has ZERO turnover which says a ton! Plenty of room at the bar dining room or high tops YET.....more space would be great. Mr. Gorbachev, (MR. MAGILL) tear down this wall." ........ :)

This place has a really cozy, locals-only kind of feel, and I like that! Went here for dinner tonight and had a really nice meal. For $13, the crab cake platter was a really good deal. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised, it was delicious. The service was great too. I'll definitely be back!

Stopped in yesterday for a few drinks with some friends after the rain ruined our plans to go to the fair. I've been here a number of times for events like bar bingo and taco Tuesday, but this was the first time I'd eaten actual dinner and boy am I sorry. I had the Quincy dog, wrapped in bacon and deep fried, topped with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, and bbq (which I switched out with their blackberry habanero wing sauce). Easily the best dog I've had, all the components were just on point. Well definitely be eating here again soon

This is a fun loud place to be kinda like cheers everyone knows everyone..Food is awesome huge fan of the Taco Tues...Great live music great drinks!

After the horrible treatment we got at the 555 lounge across the street... Quincys could have served us dirt and been better..... good thing they didn't. lol I loved this little spot. Small but nice. Gives a sports bar look. My friends and I really wanted to check out the bar (pub) area, but it was too crowded, we opted for a table instead. Great service and food. I got the sliders, though after seeing the pizza at another table... I think I ordered wrong. Drinks were ok. No drink specials, which sucks... but the live music makes up for most of my very small complaints. Good band. I wish I would have stayed longer. PROS Great parking Good Food Menu selections were great... hard to choose Live band on weekends CONS Gets crowded in bar Drinks were a little pricey small TV's

  • Jonathan S.

Not bad, great for a HH if you are in Gaithersburg. The service is spotty, a problem for me when I'm trying to Maximize my HH.

    (3)
  • Sarah K.

Quincey's is not one of my favorite montgomery county bars. Typically, the service is not great at night when the bar gets crowded. I have had to wait upwards of ten minutes to order a beer at the bar. However, last night was better and drinks were provided in a reasonable amount of time. The owners wife can be a bit rude and the layout of the bar does not flow very well when the bar is crowded. It is hard for the staff to get to and from the kitchen with dirty dishes without tripping over customers. The food is your average pub fare and they have about eight beers on tap with decent variety, including microbrews. Quincey's has live music on the weekends, which is the main reason we go.

    (2)
  • Ted L.

Just a bunch of townies, drunks, low life's, a place where hookers like to play, and usually cops waiting near by...Otherwise, great place..LOL! NOT!!

    (1)
  • John C.

After a long day in the Gaithersburg area, the bartender at the Hilton suggested this place just down the road for some local flavor - Quincy's was, within mere moments, home away from home - friendly locals, cheap beer, classic rock (not too loud) on the juke box, and football on 10+ screens! Good pub food and a jerk (used as a term of endearment) for a bartender -

    (5)
  • Joe L.

You really can't go wrong with Quincy's. From the owners the bartenders the wait staff the food and music. It's just great !

  • E. C.

I have to say - I have lived in Gaithersburg for over 10 years, and this is the best pizza in the county. If you are from the NY/NJ area, their meatball pizza (who even serves meatball pizza in MoCo??) is almost precisely like what I ate on Long Island as a kid. Absolutely terrific. I can't even review the rest of the place - once I ordered that pizza, I get it every time.

    (4)
  • Dave P.

This is a very down to earth bar. The bartenders are fun and engaging. It is an older crowd that are not pretentious.

    (4)
  • Will B.

I've seen this establishment change over the years and Marty and Alexis have done a great job creating a quality bar and grille. Live music on Thursday Friday and Saturday! Best Chesapeake bay wings you will ever find.

    (5)
  • Christopher R.

Best bar in Upper Montgomery County! Most of the food is awesome. It's a pub menu so nothing too fancy but still good. The owners are good people and work hard to take care of everyone.

One of my favorite places to kick back. Good food. Fun people. The only real neighborhood bar in the area.

  • Ryan W.

I love this place it's my go to bar after work I it's layed back place people of all ages races and net worth all in one place Adam and Justin are the best and always quick to server best place for live music! Great food too !!

Excellent, reasonably low priced American fare with excellent red and white pizzas! This is my favorite American place to go to in Gburg when I'm with my extremely picky family. Quincy's has a very laid back environment with a friendly wait staff to accompany it. I'm sure this place has plenty regulars. The most promising aspect of this restaurant is that they are constantly improving... much better than it was 10 years ago (back when it was Ernie's). Mom always gets the steak and cheese with their awesome, relatively new, fresh-cut french fries. My only wish is that they would bring back their hot roast beef open faced sandwich (my old go-to) and my dad wishes they still carried their knockwurst. Go here if you're interested in having an above average American meal. Let me know if I let you down. Can't go wrong with the: Steak and cheese; crab dip; meat or cheese pizzas, white pizza, and the burgers.

The bar at Quincy's is a really fun spot. 19th Street Band was playing when I was there last. Great community down to earth atmosphere and the band was really impressive.

Even though I live in Manassas, Quincy's is still my "local bar". Many of the patrons of Quincy's are the same from O'Leary's/Blue Fins when they were open, as is one of the bartenders, who I am very close friends with. I have been to Quincy's many times, and it's the one place I can go pretty much anytime and am guaranteed to see someone I know. But I have never reviewed "The Q" (as some of us call it) because I typically just go there to drink, and it's tough to fairly review the service since I know the staff and ownership. This Saturday, I met my close friend at his house and went up to Quincy's for our fantasy draft. On the way, he rhetorically asked which new menu item he would try that night, and indicated to me that they had a new head chef and new menu that had some great new items and had been well-received. When we ordered, upon his suggestion I tried the Italian Beef sandwich, a tribute to the Chicago classic. It was fantastic - the beef nice and juicy and dripping with it's own juices. I opted for the cole slaw side, but tried a few of their fresh hand-cut fries - also a winner. Later in the evening I planned to order a Mediterranean plate to help soak up the beer, but lost track of time and missed the kitchen cutoff for the full menu (which is midnight). They were still offering fried foods, and ordered 20 Chesapeake wings. Some of the best wings I had in ages - perfectly cooked, plump and juicy, with a nice crispy outside. Other entrees suggested to me were the pulled pork tacos, chicken and waffles, and the homemade mac and cheese entree, served with italian sausage. They also have a nice selection of burgers, hot dogs, and salads. It's not quite "gastropub" fare - Quincy's is a bit to casual for that. Rather, it is well thought out and executed comfort food that suits the casual, dive bar-ish atmosphere of Quincy's. The beer selection is about what you would expect from a neighborhood bar - the typical domestic and import selections from a "pub" - Guinness, Harp, Stella. Flying Dog beers are featured on tap and in bottles and cans, with the classic Doggie Style Pale Ale and Ragin' Bitch IPA being the on-tap selections. I was a bit surprised to not see any Heavy Seas / Clipper City beers available - the owner said he had heard some people asking for them and may be something they look into bringing in. Quincy's is very much a local neighborhood pub, so it has it's regulars and it's cliques like any local bar does. That type of atmosphere can intimidate or annoy some ... if you're one of those types, you're probably best suited to go elsewhere. If you're looking for a neighborhood pub with good food and good beer and understand the give and take of a neighborhood bar, definitely give Quincy's a shot.

  • Sarah G.

Quincy's is known for a chill spot to cool with for drinks but i don't think they have the proper customer service on the restaurant side. I was disappointed on their services. I didn't know exactly who was my waitress/waiter. After we self seated ourselves, 4 employees came to our table to ask us if we have been helped 4 times which is uncommon to me. We received water 20 minutes late :( If I had a spicy meal, I would be so mad! Food was average taste, nothing tasty since we realized we ordered mostly beer food. I wouldn't be interested in going in for a date night again but yes to hang out there at the bar.

  • Red B.

First time in and happy to see there is a thriving bar on a Sunday night. I'll be back. Also Sam and Rob have been awesome and attentive bartenders that I wouldn't have expected in Gaithersburg.

  • Sonia C.

I love this place. The crowd is a mix of all ages and everyone is so friendly. I love the owners and few bartenders are friendly there is 1 sour apple that if you ask anyone will surely know who I am talking about. I love the food and I consider this a "Cheers" bar where everyone knows you name and happy to see you come through the door.

  • Mark H.

This place closes at 12:55 not 1:30 as advertised. False advertisement again second for this night. Just flew in from Vegas. Starving!!

  • Shane R.

I usually go to this place, at least, once per week. Usually with my softball team. The service is always top notch, the food is much better than you would expect from the surroundings. What I mean is that it's a very dive-barish type atmosphere, but the food is good restaurant quality. Prices are just right too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  • Roger W.

I'm very particular when it comes to burgers. I'm only interested in steaks and burgers that are done very rare to black-and-blue (Pittsburgh rare). Quincy's is one of only a few places in the area that gets it right. Most places won't even attempt a rare burger and those that do often screw it up so I have to send it back. Not at Quincy's. Other things they make look good, too, but since great burgers are so hard to find I have yet to stray. I go there during the day and eat at the bar which is lined with TV's on each side and Keno on each end. My housemate, who is a professional chef, likes to go there at night for the live music. There is a separate dining room with just tables for those who don't care to hang at the bar. The place is located in the Quince Orchard Plaza shopping center, so there is ample parking any time you go. Quincy's has good food, good service, and good prices.

Local bar in Gaithersburg pretty good and you can find any one from the age of 21 to 80 in there. Used to come here when it was dead and it was no one but locals in here and in the recent years it started to attract a lot of people. They bring in some fun bands and have dj nights here so it's pretty fun but wish there was more room for a dance floor. The bar pretty much takes up the entire place so it gets pretty crowede, the outdoor space has a small tiki bar and the seating outdoor it narrow so on summer nights it can get tight. There is also a restaurant side. The food here is great which is always good usually bars have crappy bar food but here the pizza is bomb and the chili dogs are glorious. I used to come here a lot but it seems to attract a lot of attention with drama and sucks with cops sitting out in the parking lot waiting for people to drive off.

  • Nick H.

Not quite a dive bar, but not too far off if you remove the dining room. The food here is average at best as nothing will wow you unless you've enjoyed several drinks and decide to add a ton of seasoning to your dish. That said if you love Wings (which I do) I can tell you they have some of the better ones in the Gaithersburg area. They are crispy, flavorful, piping hot (temp wise) and really the only thing I would order again. Are they the best wings in the area? No. But if I had a short list of places I wanted wings from (locally), they wouldn't be at the bottom. As far as atmophere- If you are looking for a place to hang out with people your age the crowd is very different given the night you go. Mon-Thursday 45+ Friday/Saturday 21-40.

  • Jill W.

Been here a few times on weekend nights. Great crowd, fun atmosphere, live bands that are actually good. Bar prices are very fair! The service has been just okay, but its a great late night spot that will suit a young adult to middle-aged crowd. I will be back!

  • Kevin G.

What a terrible experience. I was meeting some clients from the nearby NIST campus there, I didn't have my phone with me and failed to Yelp it. My first mistake. My second Mistake was staying longer than the 10 minutes it took to get the attention of the disinterested bar maid. Once we did get her attention she was very impersonal and you would have thought we had disturbed her from some higher calling, the bar only had a few people in it so I could not comprehend what the issue was I am not going to drone, so trust me when I say, the choices are limited, the food taste like it is microwaved and the folks taking $5.45 for a draft yuengling are not very appreciative of your business.

    (1)
  • Rick R.

Perfectly acceptable dive bar. I'm in town once a month and the bartender remembers me and my drink. Food has been hit or miss, but the miss was probably the fact that we waited to eat it.

It's hard to describe Quincy's. My friend and I had dinner there last night (Saturday). They had a live band (which was really good btw) and the food was not bad (their waffle fries for dessert rocked it!) I like the atmosphere although those who smoke sit/stand outside the entrance so you have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in/out of the place (most unfortunate). Wish the owners could tweak that. The age range for patrons was 20's -50's on a Saturday night. It was kind of fun seeing everyone getting along and sharing a commonality. There isn't too much to do in Upcounty on the weekends. Quincy's isn't a bad choice for food and fun!

  • Inde A.

An OK dive bar... Nothing special. Premium vodka prices were higher than I expected considering the location/setting. Crowd on a recent weekday evening was a bit ghetto.

  • Lindsey W.

Quincy's is my boyfriends favorite bar so we stop at the bar often for dinner and drinks. Every visit the age range in the bar is from 30-60s, the dining area often has families with kids. I can't speak for the service in the dining area because we've only been to the bar. The bar service is generally quite good unless they are packed with a band playing which having to wait for a drink is expected at any bar. I really love their pizza's and my boyfriend loves their chilli dogs. Wings and fries are good.

Met both of the owners (family run spot) who were both friendly, had no interaction with the wait staff. Its a Blue collar bar - if you want yuppie feel good - go down to bethesda or dupont. Bartender was knowledgeable about the food and suds on tap.(they've got PBR & Natty Boe cans for $1.50-$1.75) Its got the locals "Cheers" feel to it - still waiting for Norm to walk in the door. Lots of "industry workers" frequent Quincy's (ie. servers & tenders from other local spots). Live music comes weekly. The 3 times I've eaten here each selection was good and filling - you pay for what you get. The Cookie & ice cream desert was good too. Being that its in a shopping center its got ample parking. It is NOT trying to be a local irish pub, it IS a local family owned Bar & Grill with sports showing on each flat screen aruond the bar. I came in there with a black and mexican friend and we weren't treated differently than anyone else.

  • Chris H.

My company loves eating here. My boss and the other senior partner are regulars here and introduced me to Quincy's when I started my job. Atmosphere is okay. Indoors there is a bar and the restaurant area with several TVs on ESPN turned on. There's Keno also in the restaurant. What I think is the big winner is the Chesapeake old bay wings. Those are absolute money. The rest of my dining experience has been decent. The food isn't incredible, but it isn't horrible either.

    (3)
  • Lisa W.

Terrible - This used to be Ernies Pub and was around for years!. It has turned over to a new owner who changed the name and upped the prices. The servers barely speak English and are not pleasant. This tiny grille also charges you $2.00 if you split ANYTHING. This place used to be packed and there were very few people there. Have tried it a few times under the new name Quincy's and today I have decided I will not return. The $10 salad and 3 dollar soda (in tiny glasses) was definetly not worth it.

  • Nicole L.

The plaza is going downhill. I went there for a Skins-Dallas game on a Sunday there was a good crowd at the bar for $2 beer. The bartender took 20 min to notice me, the asian. Anyhow a friend came by with a child and the bartenders told us we couldn't sit at the bar so we moved to a table. Later a cop sitting there welcomed his wife and infant they were sitting at the bar so my friend asked why that child is allowed. The bartenders were rude and biased to certain customers I will NEVER go there again!

Food is great, salads are fresh. Dining side is better. Roxanne is the best server, others leave a bit to be desired. It's a basic, good pub. Sometimes loud. Food is worth it.

This is a great place to go after a long night at work. Mixed diversity, great music on Friday and Saturday night. They have excellent menu choices, and on the weekend there usually a food special.

    (5)
  • Leah S.

Can't say I've ever had the food here but the drinks are always good. Cheap beer and mixed drinks. As far as the mixed drinks, they tend to be strong, as they should be! They have a wide selection of beer, also. They have a nice outdoor patio for the warmer months but plenty of space inside, as well. They have live entertainment on the weekends and it's usually pretty good. They also have a bouncer after a certain time to keep the crazies out, which is nice. I tend to come on Friday/Saturday nights but have been during the week, as well. I've had a great time every visit. It's a nice (cheap) place to hang out with friends and have a good time.
