There food is very delicious and always hot and fresh. One of the employees always stands out in the food court passing out free samples. The free samples always lures me towards them. The bourbon chicken is the best. Its sweet spicy. Perfect combination. They give you generous portions and its not at all expensive.

Typical cajun food. Bourbon chicken is pretty good. Potato side is similar to Sbarro's. It's in the Lakeforest Mall food court. They let you sample their chicken. Go figure, it's not good for the health-conscious food eater though.

1st: There is NOTHING Cajun about this place. NOTHING. Well, maybe the napkins, but the hot sauce was sriracha ... NOT CAJUN. When was the last time you got fried rice with your Po' Boy? Never? Yeah. I knew that. 2nd: The shrimp are frozen, not bad in itself, but they were thawed and left to get "soggy" in water (I know how that tastes) and they weren't shelled completely. At least, when I got the "Cajun" shrimp two of the shrimp still had significant shells left behind. 3rd: The people behind the counter appear as if they regret taking the job, don't smile and don't speak English so I have no idea if I got what I paid for or, by saying "no" to the Lo Mein (NOT CAJUN) noodles I gave up my right to a fair, lower price. Even though I saw all this I figured, "Well, they say Cajun so maybe they use red pepper and Cajun spices instead of rice wine vinegar and 5 Chinese Spices." No, they don't. And no, quantity does not outweigh quality in this case; since I got ZERO CAJUN food. What ever happened to truth in advertising? Has consumerism and food service simply become Barnum's, "a sucker is born every second"? It's too bad too, because within a minute's walking distance are two other Chinese/Japanese eateries that do better what this place tries to do without pretending to be something they are not, and a real Cajun place would really stand out. Places like this, and reviewers who give this place anything more than 2-stars, make me think the movie "Idiocracy" was not a farce, but a warning of things to come.

Our crew had strange fascination with the Lake Forest mall food court, and we ended up here for lunch few times a week. Within the standard food court area, Kelly's Cajun Grill was one of the few places with edible food. First thing I noticed was all the workers were speaking Mandarin, and they were cooking southern food, maybe they could be Asians from the south? Tried their chicken items between the few times I visited them. Bourbon Chicken was probably the best one to get here. It tasted like a strip down version of the Bonbon Chicken from one of those Americanized Chinese restaurants. Actually most of their dishes tasted like Americanized Chinese food rather than actual southern food. Nothing bad about it if you like those type of Chinese food. I suppose I would consider this place a "southernized" version of Panda Express. Do not expect much service here, since it's the mall and the workers are Asian.

Good, but very average. My lunch was hot and fresh and I liked the bourbon chicken. They give you plenty of food but I think it's a bit bland. Could use more flavor. Service was very good and very fast. The young lady was polite and friendly.

Ditto what John R. said. When the place first opened up I loved! The food was fresh and the staff friendly. There cajun items on the menu. Then, the staff became all Asian and the red beans and rice and jambalaya were no onger on the menu. To make it worse I was charged $13.75 for what I thought was the $5 Manager's Special that did not include a drink. I believe I was charged for drinks! To make it worse the rice was definnately reheated with soy sauce added and the cabbage wasn't as fresh as ususal. Very disappointed in the service and quality of the food. I don't go to the Mall often but I usually go to the Cajun Grill since there is no line and I like to support minorities. But, until I see a significant change, I won't be patronizing then again.

This is the only Kelly's Cajun Grill I like. Food is good and they have great prices. All the other locations I've been to were horrible.

AWFUL customer service. The food rarely seems fresh (dry, tough). Associates don't know how to speak to people, are NOT friendly (EVER), and appear to hate their lives, job, food, customers, etc. I've never seen them smile. Whether you can speak English or not, you should know how to be kind, welcoming, warm, etc. Very disappointed. Can't wait for this place to leave the mall and be replaced with something better (the bar isn't very high right now...).

I love the Cajun Grill. I always go there for the Lemon Chicken. The Chicken is always warm and sweet. I love the hot, crispiness of the chicken. Ever since one of the employees was standing out and giving out free samples a few years ago I've been going ever since.
