I had to drop two stars because it seems there have been some changes to the way the restaurant operates and I want them to notice this. If you look at the "Sides" section on the menu board at the restaurant, at the bottom you will see "Chips & Guac". Now, because that is listed together, you would assume that counts as one side right? Nope. Then you would think, "Okay, chips AND guac, so that's two sides right?" Nope. It doesn't count as a side towards a meal that comes with 2 sides. So then what are you left with? Rice, beans, fries and I think something else. Rice and beans don't count as one side, even though most places do! Trust me, I love this place for the food they make. However, it's a nuisance when the restaurant makes these rules, but doesn't even specify that on the menu! If they want it to be like that, make it CLEAR to your customers so that we don't end up looking like fools when we order because the person behind the counter can't completely understand what I am asking him/her. I still can't believe I can't order chips and guac as part of the 6pc wings with two sides (used to be 7pc). I mean, I get it. Chips & guac is pricier to make than the other foods. Fine. At least make it so that you have to pay a little extra or something! I don't want to order something I don't want, like the rice and beans. I would rather have chips and guac as my side. So instead of just "Wings w/ 2 sides $7.95", add another line saying Substitute side for extra $1.99. Simple. All in all, the food is great and the burritos are awesome. The small things like this are what holds this place back from being truly amazing. Rating will stay until this is fixed.

Updated review: I still like the food a lot, but it is such a hassle to eat there and place your order in person. It's a little mismanaged and ordering multiple entrées is unnecessarily complicated, I don't think they have a system for writing it down. I would give this place a higher rating if it was better managed.

Came here after reading several reviews and I left with a smile on my face and my tummy full. Good was made to order and stuff was super friendly. I will defiantly recommend this place to any person who like good Mexican food.

Very good food!!! MUCH better than Chipotle. The owner and his family are very nice people. I will be frequenting this establishment.

I absolutely fell in love with Jazmin's. The food is delicious, when you first walk in they have a big menu in front. You can become a little overwhelmed with so many opitions, but they're all good choices. I usually get a bowl and they're grilled meat (steak or chicken) is mouth watering. It's not expensive and the quality of everything I've had has always been amazing!

We love Jazmin! It's like our own local Chipotle, only better! The food is all fresh & made to order. The boys can have their steak or chicken & I can have my veggie meals. The home made Salsa & Guacamole are favorites! The owners are super nice & remember everyone who comes in.

I can see why Jazmin has garnered such high reviews on here. With my wife craving nachos, we found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. Its in a industrial type area near the air park. Inside is pretty sparsely decorated, but there is a decent amount of seating available. The food was just as the yelp reviews said- very good! The nachos were loaded with cheese, meat and great seasoning, and the salsa was very fresh with big chunks of tomato. We went with the fajitas as well, and they came out piping hot and enough food for the both of us to share. Add in friendly service, and we will definitely come back again!

The food is exceptional for the menu they offer. The burritos are stuffed with your choice of natural ingredients and the salsa verde is perfect hot!

After coming back to this place after a year or so, I felt obligated to write a 5 star review. The food at Jazmin Cuisine is amazinggggg. It's basically a much better version of chipotle! You can get a ton of similar things (burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, etc). I've had the burrito bowl a few times and I had some tacos for the first time this most recent trip. Everything is delicious, even the beans and rice (which, btw, they have both white cilantro rice as well as yellow rice). All in all, this place is great- friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food for a very cheap price.

Been there twice.. both times really good food.. their spicy sauce is actually spicy! I have been happy with it so far. Last time had a veggie burrito and today a veggie quesadilla.. recommend it!

-Traditional burritos out west are typically pretty simple in design without very many filler ingredients. Though I do appreciate the "authentic" approach to Tex-Mex cuisine, I do have to say that no one does it like Jazmin. -The brothers that run the est

I'm a huge fan of Chipotle...no one beats their burritos as far as I'm concerned. However, I work at a firehouse where there are no Chipotles in the immediate area. To satisfy my cravings for Tex-Mex, Jazmins hits the spot every time. If you're looking for a large burrito, theirs fits the bill. All meat ingredients are cooked right in front of you, so it doesn't get any more fresh. Typical choices of rice, beans, pico de gallo, sauces, sour cream, etc. Their green sauce has the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Their quesadillas are also very delicious...especially the steak. The owners always recognize us coming in on the fire truck or ambulance and are always very friendly. Even when I've gone there off-duty, their service is great.

Had a great experience. Food was delicious and price is reasonable. Staff is super friendly. We ordered 6 Ranchero wings which they forgot to make after we had eaten our chicken quesadilla. When I went to the counter to ask about them, it was clear they forgot to make them. I asked me wife if she still wanted them and she said no so they gladly refunded my money. Mistakes happen. As we were about to leave 5 minutes later, they called me over to the counter and handed me a plate of fresh wings to go on the house. What a great surprise. No one is perfect but it is how you correct things that shows the soul of a restaurant. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Never disappoints except for the rare times it does (specifically during CARRY-OUT). Once they forgot to include chicken in my chicken burrito...Not that big a deal, took it back & was comped a new burrito. But tonight, the chicken was actually rubbery. GROSS. I couldn't even chew it. I tried to see if it was just a few pieces. Nope, every single piece was inedible. It's so disappointing because I love this place, the food is great, very flavorful & fresh and I've never had issues when I dine in. But times like this make me wonder... Giving it two stars due to the carelessness with carry out orders. I'm a stickler for getting things right so I always check to make sure everything I order is included. However I'm not going to unwrap my burrito and take a bite right there-there's a reason I ordered carry out. Imagine how infuriating it is to get home ready to eat & then bite into that^^!

I saw this place as I was driving home one day, so I decided to check it out, and I have to say that I'm glad I did, this place is one of those little hole in the walls that you hear about, Nothing special inside by any means, but man it has some very tasty food and for the price very plentiful. Someone wrote in another review about liking Chipotle, if that's your thing, hey nothing wrong that! But come check the burritos out here, just as big and just as good (maybe even better), and if tacos are your thing, these will most definitely hit the spot! I feel the only not so bad of a negative thing I would say about this place is, the first time I went, I can only assume it was the owner, he needs to liven up some, I'm a big believer that if you show some sign of life and enthusiasm you'll get a great response. luckily the food is good enough to go back again.

i've eaten here a couple times. So the food is good but not super fantastic. It is fast. Sort of good if you're on a tight schedule. The interior environment is really rather allow it. I find myself shying away from eating in the interior area because the soda machine is just very loud. It's been that way for a long time.

The food here is great! My hubby and I frequent this place! SOOOOOO yummy!!! I get the tex mex salad here. Its so fresh, and as the other yelpers have said, the chicken is to DIE for. Hubby gets the burrito bowl with the chicken sauteed with peppers and onions. We disagree on what chicken is better, but i guess thats not the worst fight to have ;) On a side note, this is more so about my hubby, he gets a tad ill after he eats here and we are curious as to whether its the food or just total coincidence!

Yes!!!! I love this place! You get exactly what you pay for!!! The service is so great and everyone is so nice! I always come with big orders and they never fail! They always give Advance Auto Parts great service and we love ordering from them.

Disclaimer: I don't care if food is "authentic" if it tastes good. Having never been to Mexico--I can't say for sure if this is authentic. But it's damn tasty and that's all I care about. The airpark section of Gaithersburg isn't what I'd consider to be a "foodie" destination. Nor a destination at all, really. Unless you're into industrial parks--hey I'm not judging. Some women like flowers and wine, others like concrete and chain-link fences. At any rate, I find myself compelled to leave the safe confines of beautiful manicured central G'burg to go over here to get some delicious tacos. Or burritos. Or...anything on the menu. Service here is efficient, friendly. Decor is--well, what you'd expect in an airpark. Food here is worth going for. Generous helpings of meat, fresh toppings, great salsa, what's not to love. They'll be as light or heavy as you want with things, just ask. I really dig the soft tacos with steak, but that's me... If Chipotle is your thing, and trust me, I'm not juding--I love me a steak bowl there, you'll dig Jazmin. If you need to eat a burrito the size of a toddler, you'll also love Jazmin.

I love this place! Not only are the employees very polite and well mannered, but everything I've had from here is delicious! I especially like their wraps. They use very fresh ingredients and they toss everything together before they put it in the tortilla (unlike other places that just layer everything). Their chicken is slightly charred which adds a lot of flavor that you won't find at chipotle. All of this with low prices? I am hooked! Tip: Ask them to put tortilla strips in your wrap or burrito for a nice crunch. And if you like cilantro, try adding that to the wrap too.

  • Johnson T.

Do you like chipotle? Well you are gonna love jazmin. First off the staff are very friendly and go there enough and they will know exactly what you want! They personally don't know me but whenever I go with some friend they always seem to recognize someone! Secondly, the food... It is amazing! I typically get a burrito bowl with whatever meat I feel like getting (they are all excellent!). The trick is to get them to stir it up beforehand to get a savory mix of goodness. Try out this method sometime, it works realllllly well in burrito form. Third, the price is extremely reasonable for the quality of the food. Finally, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here is so good and fresh!!! Made to order right in front of you. The prices are reasonable I come here at least once a month

Delicious authentic tex-mex fare. Located near the air park so it is not a destination restaurant but if you are in the area, it is one of the few places tp get fresh and delicious food at a reasonable cost. Again nothing fancy here.

  • Mark M.

Jazmin's Burrito is better than Chipotle! The flavor of the chicken is AMAZING!!! Their hot salsa is ALWAYS spicy(just the way i like it!) Even their chicken taco salad is PHENOMENAL! Great prices! Friend Service! Locally owned! Always FRESHLY made chicken!

In my never-ending quest for good Mexican Food I am happy to add Jazmin to the roster of regulars. I was a bit reluctant. Yelpers had made comparisons to Chipotle. Ugh. However the reviews were looking good. My friend and I stopped by for dinner. We each ordered a burrito [one chicken, one beef] and shared an order of steak nachos. For two average sized people - who were relatively hungry - this was a LOT of food. I would go so far as to say too much for just the two of us. This feast plus two fountain drinks cost just under $30, which IMHO is a pretty good deal. More good news - the food was tasty! My burrito was outstanding. I understand the comparisons to Chipotle, but it is a little like comparing a good steak house to Sizzler. Then there were the nachos. Each individual nacho was like a street taco in size. They get big bonus points for the fresh sliced jalapenos on top. Don't expect a Maitre'D and lined table cloths. This is classic taco shop ambiance. I would consider 5 stars for Jazmin but two minor issues dropped it to four. First, the line moves very slowly. If I had to trade off between quality and speed, I will take quality every time. But it still took a while to get the order in and get our food. The second and bigger issue is the lack of a salsa bar. Overall a good place to get a great burrito.

The owner and the staff are truly customer friendly. They cook up the most taste bud tantalizing cuisine. Trust me you will be back over and over again. Great value for amazing meals. Tell them that I sent you.

This place was around the corner from where I was hiking, and it had the same name as the girl I am dating, so I gave it a try! I ordered the chicken burrito and it tasted great! Lots of quality ingredients, good grilled chicken, thick pieces of cheddar cheese, good salsa, lots of sour cream. It filled me up! I'll def check this place out again as they have lots of other stuff to. I also like supporting the local businesses in the area with local ingredients.

    (5)
  • Hussein N.

That local spot that does work on chipotle. The meat here be on point especially that carne asada! They have one of the best/quality steak and cheeses I've had in a while. Bang for your buck for sure. Breakfast prices are the shit, steak and eggs is on fuckin point.

    (5)
  • George M.

Definitely one of my go to places in the area. The stake here is really well marinated and the quesadillas topped with guacamole are perfect. Almost too big to finish for one person.

Remember how chipotle burritos were the size of a small baby? Enter Jazmin Cuisine =). This place is pretty good! It's almost the same condiments/add-ons as the ones in Chipotle, plus you get to also pick different sauces to put into the burrito, as well as your choice of the type of rice - white rice or yellow rice. The meat isn't seasoned like chipotle, but you can put hot sauce in it if you really wanted it to be more spicy. They don't skimp on anything as our burritos were almost too big to wrap. I picked the yellow rice instead of the white rice, so I'm sure if the white rice has a hint of lime in it like chipotle (which I love). They also have the options of burrito bowl, or tacos, or salad. I'm definitely a fan of this place. Give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all!

  • Ever C.

I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Great customer service which helps me enjoy my food even more. My food is always well cooked and that is a reason I come to this place before work or after work. Great job guys!

  • Chris B.

Ok I really had to update this to 5 stars. Pretty sure its the best burrito I've ever had. Steak is unbelievable, pretty sure its skirt steak, a 7 dollar huge burrito with that high end steak is just amazing. Fresh jalapeno and cilantro, hot salsa that actually hot, excellent yellow rice and pinto beans, and of course that steak. Cant beat it!

    (5)
  • Sergio L.

Definitely a regular here. What other place can you get fresh Mexican food with fresh jalapenos and habaneros for a spicy lover as my self. Chicken and steak seasoned great. White rice with cilantro a plus. Cant beat it!

    (5)
  • Grr S.

This place has great tex-mex. The burritos are on par with Chipotle, Q'doba, and Cafe Rio. Each has a few ingredients that trump the others; here, it's the steak. If you want to order something superior to the chains, try the salads. They're very happy to swap ingredients. If you're not adventurous, there are simple american dishes, too. If you are, ask them to add jalapeño!

This is kind of a hidden gem of a restaurant, just off Woodfield Rd near the airpark. Almost everything they serve is fairly authentic tasting (more "Mex" than "Tex"). The prices are a smidge high, but the portions are very generous, sometimes more than generous. Food-wise, the only disappointments for me have been the white rice, the guacamole (which is okay, but not great), and occasionally the chicken quesadillas, where the chicken is so hard and rubbery it's not edible. But most days the chicken quesadillas are excellent and the chicken is perfect. Their meats are cooked right in front of you on the grill, and that grilled taste definitely comes through. The steak tacos are very good, and the breakfast burritos are good. I tend to order the chicken quesadillas 80% of the time, because they're usually fantastic. I would say that most customers, like myself, tend to get take-out, but the inside dining area is bigger than you would expect from the outside. This is a solid choice if you like Mexican food!

Great food, polite and friendly staff. Steak Nachos, Steak Bowl are great! Eat here for lunch a lot since we are around the corner.

Pretty good, equivalent to Chipotle, but better meat. The beef is very tasty and in a burrito it is so yum. The only thing that is missing is roasted vegetables ( that Chipotle has).

  • Anto G.

This place is good as or better than chipotle. Both places are amazing but what puts these guys ahead is you feel at home when you are here and the lines are way better and the people who work here can always talk and be nice to you. This is one of the best mexican places around gaithersburg and rockville

    (5)
  • Brian S.

Great food, and friendly people! I had their burrito de huevo and it was fantastic, you can tell they use decent quality produce here. The woman working at the register was very nice and didn't even make fun of my terrible spanish (just practicing, they all seem to speak english very well). The only critique is that they could season with salt and pepper and it would go along way. Definitely a great place for some texmex.

    (5)
  • Maria O.

This place chicken is soo good! I would go here all the time ! Its better than chipotle . In so many ways the meat taste better ,same with the vegtables , and guac . Etc.. Very good service ! Recomend to anyone ! Delicious ! Muy rico

For two years, I have lived in DC. For two years, I have been struggling to find the good mexican to no avail. Then I found Taco Bar, and now this place that has a little bit of the tex mex flavors. Apparently, they are all hiding out in Gaithersburg and I only found this place cause I fly at the airpark down the street. I tell you when it rains it pours. This place has the BEST grilled chicken tacos I have had. You can request a hard or soft tortilla, if you're requesting a hard tortilla there is something wrong with your taste buds. It takes awhile to get your order but they are actually grilling your chicken to order. Once the meat is done, they add on the toppings Chipotle style. The rice and beans were a little bland, but nothing that a little bacon fat can't fix. The menu itself has various items from burritos to salads to wraps to quesadillas. For $6.25 I got 2 tacos, rice, beans and of course a Pina Jarritos. Two words to sum this place up: Fresh and Affordable. My next quest: to find tasty fish tacos...the journey begins..

Gotta agree with all the other reviews - Jazmin Cuisine is the best Tex Mex in the Montgomery area. Service is pretty good. The owner, who's always there, is extremely nice and remembers regulars. The other staff usually seem indifferent, but they're never rude or pushy and everyone who works there will give you pretty much anything you want with your food. And the food is great. Huge portions, fresh, tasty ingredients. Meats are tossed on the grill and cooked right in front of you as you order. And everything is reasonably priced, especially for the portions they give you. Their Ranchero Wings are awesome, definitely recommend them too. Their breakfast is very good as well. I regularly get their steak and eggs combo and burrito al gusto. Definitely go here if you have the chance.

Great flavors; only surpassed by their amazing service. Steak tacos and chicken quesadillas had fresh ingredients. You can tell that their food is done by great cooks.

FORGET CHIPOTLE!!! Jazmin Cusine is where its at!! The fresh ingredients, the HUGE portions they give you in their burrito bowls/burritos (Meat/veggies/rice/etc etc) WAY MORE THAN THE OTHERS/CHAINS IMHO The service is very good/friendly the overall vibe of the restaurant is clean and inviting Oh..if you like wings, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TRY THEM :D Another recommendation I would make is the Steak and eggs (I dont like french toast so I replace it with white rice and black beans) it complements it very well and is a great filling breakfast. TRY THIS PLACE, I dont think you will be disappointed. Kind Regards, Raj Deshmukh

So far, so good! Very friendly owner. I've been there a couple of times and always order the grilled Ranchero Wings. Love the tres leches cake. My teenager loved the chicken burritos; he says it's better than Chipotle!

Simple and tasty, it's not a complex or new idea but it is delivered well. Burritos and tacos and other tex-mex mixes built to order. Interestingly enough their walls are covered with framed poster of American military aircraft.

I work right up the street from this place and probably go here once a week. I usually get the burrito bowl which is excellent. I also have had the chicken enchiladas and they are equally good. They are very nice and get orders out quickly. There have been a bunch of other businesses in this location and they have all failed. I don't see this happening with Jazmin and hope they are there for good. I always like to see a restaurant do well when they serve excellent food. I'm also glad they are so close to me and I don't have to drive all the way to Chipoltle. They are better than Chipoltle and have more options like a regular Tex Mex restaurant.

Wanted to try something new and not fast food in the Airpark. So glad I tried this place! Their burritos are nice & large. The steak quesadilla is also super yummy. Everything is well priced and they're fast enough to get for lunch. You can call ahead and order if you're in a rush. Om nom nom.

  • Marie G.

The food is pretty good here, and the price is pretty good. The burritos are huge, as in Chipotle huge and delicious. They season their meat really well. And you don't have to wait very long to order or get your food.

My wife and I ate here yesterday; she tacos, I had the fajitas-chicken. The place was not quite empty since we were quite early for dinner because of a school event to which we were going. The place was very clean and neat and, compared to the comings and goings at the beer store beside it, very quiet. It;s an "order here - pickup here" kind of arrangement at a counter where you get to see all the sides/selections and we watched as our selections began preparations. My chicken went on the grill as I watched, that's a real plus. The food was really fresh tasting and my wife enjoyed hers quite a bit. Caution note the "hot" salsa here is fairly spicy for some maybe an 8 out of 10. My chicken had a nicely light marinade spice and was grilled perfectly. Blackbeans and rice were nice as well. Nothing had any HEAT though. On a special note, the tortillas I had were the best since I lived in New Mexico. All in, I say the food here tastes really good; fresh and nicely made. That said, there isn't a "signature" and this place should have one. If they come up with that signature flavor/spice I'd bet they get a cult following.

This location has run through several restaurants in thelast 5 years; Finally, here is one worth eating at! The decor is simple, the space small, but the food is spot on,and the staff is terrific! My kids love the steak tacos, and I like the grilled wings. They are still figuring out some of the basics, and need to sell the space better. Still, great bargain for good food!

It's a weird name for Tex-Mex but it definitely is one of the tastiest place in the area. Definitely good burritos!

I eat a lot of Mexican food, for better or worse. Jazmin is the best burrito I have had in the area outside of District Taco's chorizo infused offerings. I always stop here on my way to the motorcycle shop and crush at least one and sometimes 2 burritos. Fresher ingredients than any chain, better flavor, and more generous portions. I whole heartedly endorse.

I decided to check this place out, since I work pretty close to here. The ambiance is nothing to be amazed of, and place was kind of empty when I got there, but then again, it's near an industrial park area, so it's probably kind of unknown. It's similar to how a chipotle is ran. You ask for what you want, then you choose the different toppings you want on it. They had a good variety of choices; tacos, enchiladas, burritos, burrito bowls, etc I got two grilled chicken tacos, for about $6.50. It came with a siding of rice and beans. The tacos were delicious. The grilled chicken was fresh, and the toppings seemed to be fresh too. It was very filling, and affordable. I would def. go here again.

  • Todd K.

Good food. Really good food. I had chicken tacos (served with choices of rice and beans) and my friend had the chicken enchiladas (came with a verde sauce that was Ta-sty -- added some to the tacos). He said they were excellent. (Enthusiastically, I add) The downside was just the timing. Tacos take 2 minutes and enchiladas 10, so the tacos sat for 8 minutes... in front of me. But, it was worth the wait. I'll definitely be going back.

  • Bella S.

Not my cup of tea and not really worth the drive. The food was fine, especially the yellow rice and beans, but the meat was very dry. The toppings were pretty flavorless except for their hot salsa which is genuinely hot. What's all the hype about?

  • Brian W.

This is the best Tex-Mex I've had outside the Midwest. It's always worth the trip to come here. The prices are very reasonable, the staff makes your food any way you like, and the marinade is amazing on their meats. I can't recommend this place enough. I've had many friends & coworkers go here. None have been anything but delighted with the quality of the food.

Jazmines is the best! Better than Chipotle with more TLC and competitive prices. Definitely try the burrito bowl, but the chicken quesadillas are a real winner! (I hear breakfast is on point as well.) A must try if you're in the Gaithersburg area.
