The atmosphere is nice, and the generous portions are reasonably priced and delicious.

I am a serious carnitas junkie, and El Dorado has some of the best that I have ever eaten. Don't be put off by the exterior, the interior is bright and fun, and the owner is there to great you as you walk in the door, tableside guac is yummy. I have gotten quite a few other people hooked on the place also, I haven't had anything but carnitas, but others in my parties have had a good selection of the menu and have enjoyed each and every dish, I highly recommend. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity you receive.

yelp let me down in this one. based on the reviews I was expecting a great experience. the food was good but the poor service overshadowed the whole thing. the service was s l o w. and the joint wasn't crowded at all. very disappointed.

Very reasonably priced Mexican and Latin American fare with prompt service. Tableside guacamole was delicious and the margaritas were potent. My girlfriend ordered the taco salad and was surprised when it arrived with bleu cheese on top as it was not listed on the menu (ignoring that bleu cheese has no place on a Mexican dish). Great little spot.

    yummy carne asada tacos!

El Dorado is a great find in Easton. Their food is great and prices are very reasonable as well. Service is prompt and courteous. Others have mentioned the tableside guacamole, which is awesome. The tacos are fresh and delicious. I had tried one of their fish dishes on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised but how flavorful it was and how the side dishes complemented the dish. Overall, I definitely recommend El Dorado!

Friendly staff and owner, great food at reasonable prices. Much better quality then places like Plaza Tapatia and cleaner. Can be crowded so reservations are suggested on weekends.

Good food, nice folks providing excellent service at reasonable prices. Tacos really good, we tried three kinds. Especially good in this virtual wasteland of interesting places to eat.

Awesome stop on the road to OC. Great carnitas tacos, guacamole, salsa and margaritas! Nice service in and outside, a definite repeat.

This is a flavorful fresh food, great service, reasonable priced and comfortable atmosphere restaurant. Salsa and chips were addicting, chicken and carnitas was moist and not overcooked, corn tortillas were made in house and you can get a large table-side made of fresh guacamole. We will be making this our regular local treat..... affordable go-to when I don't know what to make for dinner!! Nobody's 5 star perfect, there is always room for improvement, just not sure where they need to improve!!

The outside does not do this place justice. The inside was quite attractive and welcoming. Food was reasonably priced and flavorful although the skirt steak was a little on the tough side. Service was fair.

  • Jeff A.

Fantastic fresh food! With meals starting at $7.95, the prices are as good as the food! I had the Fish tacos, served with 3 freshly made soft tortillas. Could not have been better. Others at the table had skirt steak tacos and were equally impressed. Entrees of steak and fish we also excellent. This place is not your typical Americanized Mexican food joint - it is much, much better!

  • Ann C.

Killer margaritas (made with fresh lime juice!) and cheap beer are great new additions to the already solid menu. I love the tacos al pastor and the barbacoa platter. They make guacamole table-side, which is a really nice feature. Of course the avocados are at the peak of ripeness, the owner also owns the Plaza Latina shop next door.

A visit to the new restaurant at Dover and Aurora, the El Dorado, proved to be a treat and place to return to. Authentic in all ways. Pico de Gallo was served with tortilla chips--thin, nicely fried and not overwhelmed with salt. The Pico de Gallo was subtle, and the heat did not appear until after it had been swallowed, which is the way it should be. The lunch consisted of homemade corn tortillas, lightly heated on a grill, not deep fried--small, just the right size--stuffed with shredded tender beef, seasoned well but not heavy. The refried beans were just right. Soft, not greasy, and very tasty. the rice was not quite up to the quality of the other items, but nonetheless, nice. Guacamole served on the side for topping the beef tacos was a nice addition and complemented the beef and tacos. A return to this authentic Mexican restaurant is a must to try out the many other dishes offered. Prices are reasonable and affordable.

This is the second time we went. The first was during the week, quite and efficient service. The food was basic and no frills.Good quality for Mexican type food and Good quantity. The margaritas on the other hand were terrific.Tried it again on a Sat night.Very busy and very noisy.Same good drinks and basic food.Service was very slow and the food was served at barely above room temperature. The owner was apologetic. Will try it again.

A+ service and food. Authentic Mexican in the heart of Easton. The tamales were brimming with pork. The carne asada was delicious and they served nice hot corn tortillas instead of the lard-laden flour tortillas that are all the rage at the local robo-mexi-chains. I'll definitely return. 4 stars only because the meat on the carne asada was perhaps a little blander than I like - but it was still excellent.

El Dorado is the city of gold which Pizarro was searching for! It has all the elements that make great Mexican/Central American cuisine! Their salsa was placed on the table and after one taste, I knew that I walked into the real deal here at El Dorado. Their barbocoa, carnitas, and chile rellenos were excellent! Their corn and flour tortillas were spot on! Will be back again soon to try more of their meal offerings.

Unstoppable fajitas combined with South American delicacies makes this a memorable stop in Easton. Try the fresh guacamole made tableside. Pollo fresca is also a hit. Fantastic flavour and service.

Horrible Service!! Went on a Sunday afternoon and only 1 other table had anyone in there. Gave us chic quesadillas when we order steak.Asked for some cheese and sour cream for my fajitas and 10 mins later he finally came back with it. By then my food was cold so I asked for boxes and the check. Like I said there wasn't another soul in the buildings. Read all the great reviews but we won't be back. Better to make the drive to El Jefe outside Stevensville.

I came here on a whim driving home from Annapolis to Salisbury. This place caught my eye on Yelp and the reviews for their Tacos al Pastor cemented the deal. They were awesome. Great flavor, meat, and sauces. I'll be back. Mil gracias.

As always - The El Dorado never fails to be absolutely delicious! I had the Chile Rellenos ( pardon my spelling - the Golden Margaritas were also quite heavenly LOL) and they were divine! Mort had the Carnitas and boy did he ever love it. Of course we had the guacamole as an appetizer & as always it was absolutely delicious. We really love this place and cant wait to go back! Love it - love it - love it !

My wife and I had lunch here after she ran a half marathon in the area. I picked it based on the Yelp reviews and we had an enjoyable experience. My Dominican wife was pleased that she could deviate from the menu to some degree. We were greeted promptly and pleased with the friendliness of the staff. The food was good, the place was clean, although there seemed to be a few flies roaming the restaurant which distracted us. They offer a patio area which may have been an entry for the flies.

Great restaurant to stop for lunch. Great food, incredible service. Try the guacamole, its to die for. It was so good that we had to ask about the avocados. The owner must have enjoyed that, as he gave us one to take home. Great people.

With all the great reviews I read on the internet about El Dorados, I couldn't wait to try this place. It is with extreme disappointment that this place did meet any exceptions by any means. This evenings visit I found this place was not busy but still waited 20 minutes for a drink. I was ready to leave after 25 minutes of sitting there still patiently waiting to place our order but when we were getting up to leave, the waitress came over to take the order. We stayed and honestly can not understand the hype of how great the food is at el Dorados. No, would not visit this restaurant again and the menu prices are very high for the amount and quality of food. Our bill came to 85.00 and was a complete waste of money. However, if you are willing to pay 10.00 for their signature margarita, they were very good. Good luck.

My favorite Easton eats. We are always greeted and seated quickly by a friendly waiter. Crisp homemade tortilla chips and salsa arrive in minutes. We often ask for the special guacamole, made fresh table side--none better. Servings are generous, and the barbacoa and res torta fillings are especially succulent. The attentive, friendly owner is usually on hand to mix up a Pisco sour--as good as i ever had in Chile! You can watch soccer on the many screens--and yet the sound is either off or low because it never intrudes. It's usually fairly quiet except on some crowded weekend evenings. I am looking forward to warmer weather to try the outdoor seating.

My family and I stopped here for lunch on our way to chincoteague beach. Small restaurant that served really good food. The waiter messed up our checks, but the food made up for this error. There were 6 of us, so I dont remember everything we ordered, but I had the steak sandwich - delicious, my daughter - the quesadilla - good, my hubby the fish tacos - great, and then i think there was veggie salad and chicken fajitas around the table. All the diners loved their food, so all in all a fab experience!

Went here last night with my parents for dinner. It was pretty crowded on a rainy Saturday night at around 7:30pm. Would give 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up this time. Ordered a frozen margarita, good, but could have been blended more; when I got to the bottom there were big chunks of ice that prevented the straw from working. Chips were only okay, I've had much better, and the salsa was pretty good. My mom & I ordered the fajitas & were very happy with them. I got the chicken fajitas (see picture) and the chicken was moist & perfectly seasoned. Dad loved his barbacoa de res. Service was good, atmosphere is nice enough. Art is sort of eclectic, a duck fabric thing on one wall, religious paintings on another. 2 things that annoyed me: - I went to order the Classic Margarita, and the waiter said 'oh we don't have that anymore'. Well change your menu then if you're not offering it. - The other is sort of similar. They list the Tres Leches cake on their menu, and it's always being mentioned here on Yelp. I was so excited to try it, and after dinner when I asked if it was available, the waiter told me 'no we don't have it tonight'. Tonight?? It's not a special - it's on your regular menu. When I asked about why, he said that it wasn't made in-house, and it was delivered on Wednesdays only. Well - 2 things. If it's selling out or not good after a few days ... get more delivered / more frequently OR take it off the menu! Or indicate it's only available Wed-Fri. Very disappointing to not have something on the regular menu.

The service has gotten much better and the food is amazing. The Barbacoa tacos and the in the top 5 I've ever had in my life.

Food was tasty. Something's didn't pair too well. Food was a little dry. The owner was very friendly. The guacamole looked so yummy. The chips served before the meal were not warm, the home made salsa was very flavorful. Will be visiting again!

My family and I had a great dinner here while vacationing in Easton. We almost regretted walking here from our hotel because the area made us surprisingly nervous, but it was well worth the trip! The food was amazing. We had chips and guacamole for an appetizer, which was made table side by our waiter. All 4 of us loved our entrees and the sangria. I had the veggie fajitas, which were delicious. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. The owner was there and he was very friendly as well. Out of all the places we ate while in Maryland, this was our favorite!

  • Bonnie M.

Super! Everything was so fresh, we had the chicken and taco salads...both yummy. The taco salad started us on a quest for the best taco salad in the Eastern Shore...and so far they are winning! :-) loved the salsa and chips too!

  • Joy D.

The service was good, but the food and margarita's were less to be desired. I have had better table side guacamole at Don Pablos and La Toltecca. The food was bland and tasted as if it was reheated.

  • Cindy B.

Great food and friendly service! We nabbed a table outside and despite the surprising amount of traffic noise, it was a nice way to spend the night. Table had carnitas, fish tacos, guac and I had the ceviche (do it) served with avocado and a crisp tortilla. Ingredients were fresh!

  • Evan L.

Come here! No, really! The Barbacoa tacos are magnificent--complete with fresh-made corn tortillas. Seriously, they're the best I've had in the Mid-Atlantic in 15 years. The flan is heaven. Really. The prices are affordable. Seriously, what's keeping you? Plaza Tapatia? You're kidding, right? Oh and while you're here, tell them they have to open a store in Salisbury!

Had reservations.... Our order was never put in. We realized this when EVERYONE else in the restaurant had been served. No apology and no attempt to speed things up. We did not receive what we needed at the table and we were never checked on. We had to find someone to request our bill. No excuse for such poor service.

I have been here many times and have always been very pleased with the service and food. The prices are great for the portions you get. The manager is super and his staff is always friendly. I tell everyone I know to go there.

I went here on a double date, and all four of us were pleased. The server was attentive and friendly; he remained patient with us when we forgot to ask him to pre-split our bill. We ordered the enchiladas, shrimp soft tacos, and the chacarero sandwich. All of us enjoyed our meals. My chacarero was well-seasoned (not spicy) and the fries were crispy. Special note - the guacamole was OUTSTANDING! It was incredibly fresh tasting. This is a great place for family or for friends who'd like some Mexican food with margaritas.

Stopped here on our way to Ocean City a few days ago thinking, good Mexican in Easton? Really? And YES!! AMAZING MEXICAN IN EASTON!!! Guac is made table side - which is always fun. I ordered the mixed meat fajitas and my husband ordered the tacos al pastor. My husband is a Mexican food snob and I was fully prepared for an hour and a half drive to the beach where the topic of conversation was strictly where these tacos ranked in his lifetime quest for the best Mexican food in the US. He took one bite and said "Top 5 taco experience". I took a bite and while I'm not as well versed as he is, damn was it delicious! Owner and staff are delightful and very on top of their customer needs. I was bummed that they were out of the tres leches cake the night we were there, but hey, it gives me another wonderful reason to go back.

Outstanding in every way. Table side guacamole is the bomb! Margaritas ever so good. Ceviche, only served on weekends, excellent. Great service. Call ahead for reservations as they fill up early.

  • Tom B.

We have eaten here at least 15 times over the last 3 years and the food and service are always excellent. The cuisine is Latin American with Mexican, Peruvian and Chilean dishes. You can order something you have never had before and be confident that it will be very good. The prices are too low. Don't tell the owner.

  • Al E.

Bartender put salt on our frozen margaritas, after we asked for no salt. Yuck. Margarita was also too bland. There was a lonnnnnnnnng period before we were able to order, when we couldn't find our waiter, even though it's a tiny joint. Excellent grilled tilapia with garlic sauce, rice, and refried beans. Fish cooked perfectly, very good sauce. Gf had pork tamales, refried beans, and sweet plaintains (these were too soft and greasy IMO). Something made her stomach upset, I'm guessing the tamales :( Since the menu isn't online, just thoughts if you don't eat chicken, pork, beef -- you could try the veggie fajitas, fish tacos, steamed tilapia entree or grilled tilapia.

  • Carl O.

I have been here multiple times and always have a pleasant experience and leave with a happy belly. The empanadas are very good, as is the South American rice. My favorite thing on the menu is pork tamales. I have had a lot of tamales in my day and these are without a doubt some of the best I've had. The thing that makes them so great is the quality and care. Lots of tamale are alright but the care put into the cooking and seasoning of the pork, and the large, clean cuts of good quality meat make them exceptional. They also make a lot of great sandwiches. Including a Chilean specialty steak sandwich topped with mayo, green beans, and avocado. Delicious!!! An always friendly staff take this place to the top. We will be back. over and over again.

It is one of my favorite spots in the area. So fresh and reasonably priced! The guac is definitely delicious and made table side! I love any variety of fajita or the barbacoa tacos which comes with a fresh green sauce that I could eat on cardboard! My kids love it too. The tacos are not overly spicy.

My girlfriend and I were on our way down to Ocean City and we were utterly starving. We saw the positive reviews and decided to do a drive by. The vibe of this place was immediately clear. It was a gorgeous night and people were sitting outside munching on phenomenal smelling food. We walked in and immediately got a seat. The wait staff were friendly and the owner was even cracking jokes. A pitcher of tasty sangria soon materialized on our table. I ordered one of the pork sandwiches and my girlfriend got the barbacoa beef sandwich. For an appetizer we had the guacamole, which involved the waitress making it fresh next to our table. The pork sandwich was incredibly tasty, tender and the fixings on it made the flavor of the meat pop. The barbacoa however, was quite simply one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The meat was just utterly amazing. I'm actually struggling to come up with negatives. The chips could have been better, but they weren't bad. There wasn't much parking outside, but there was ample street parking. It was a bit noisy inside, but only a bit. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are passing through!

4.5 stars. GREAT spot. Great menu that forces you to choose between a big variety of Latin American dishes and delicious tacos. The tacos are Authentic mexican tacos with cilantro and onion. We had two orders of three tacos each: carne, carne asada, barbacoa, chicken, and al pastor. $6.95 for 3 tacos great deal and fantastic salsa. If it's remotely nice out, make sure to sit outside. Their patio is perfect on a cool evening. Whether you're in Easton or passing through on 50, El Dorado is surprisingly (and refreshingly) well worth the stop.

Haven't had decent Mexican food since moving away from San Antonio, TX nearly 3 years ago.... UNTIL I ate here while visiting my mother. It's about time Easton got some great Mexican food, and the manager, Alfredo Fernandez, is hospitable and welcoming. Because I developed my taste for margaritas in San Antonio, I'm a bit of a margarita snob, but Alfredo made me a margarita that totally knocked my socks off! He showed me the special triple-sec alternative (an Italian liqueur) he uses. Best margarita I've had outside San Antonio that I didn't make myself! Our waiter seemed a bit stand-off-ish, but I surmise he was just timid, perhaps because his English wasn't so great. But no matter. Alfredo was warm and friendly.

  • David F.

Top-notch latin american food at fair prices. Everything is uber-fresh! Guac made tableside; signature margaritas are the best I've had in all of MD/DC/VA; friendly service & family friendly. Outdoor seating, too.

  • Dan S.

I come for the top shelf guacamole. I stay for the rest. The beer and margaritas have a high price point for sleepy little Easton. I do like that they have an abundance of salsas and sauces on the table. Most entrees come with red and green salsa. The service is good, however expect to get a confused look when making special orders. Some of the waiters don't speak any English whatsoever.

I like to judge restaurants by the bread they bring to your table, or in the case of a Hispanic or Latin American restaurant, the chips and salsa. The chips were nice a thin and crunchy and the salsa was that perfect combination of chunky and watery with tons of onion and tomato. I got the fish tacos and they were excellent- grilled and topped with tomatoes, onions and cilantro with a side of some sort of tomatillo sauce on corn tortilla. Saw they had guacamole made to order with the mortar and pestle, would love to try that next time. This is a great stop on the way to or from OC and the prices are good (my three tacos were about $8)

I grew up in TX and have eaten food from South of the Border for my whole life. I have been terribly disappointed in the lack of good Mexican food since I moved to the E coast several years ago. This place could easily be in Austin; in a word, the food is just outstanding here. The guacamole made table side is not to be missed. The best Mexican food I have found on the E coast is here.

Loved the food, found them on Yelp and loved the authentic food. I had the chili relanos
