Everything they serve is good. Service is fast, prices are ok and the product is really good. Had a black and white milk shake that was one of the best I've ever tasted.

The only way it could get any better is if they set it up buffet styles and charged $10.00 for al you can eat ice cream. I usually get mango Gelato with vanilla custard, but the custard is so good I think I will be foregoing the Italian ice. Kind of brings back memories of stopping at the old school snow cone shop that was up the street from my childhood neighborhood. The kids love it, it's not a pocket breakers, and its a great way to cool off on a hot day. It's also a good way to make the kids stay in line for a few hours. I'm like " If your good we'll go to Rita's" . They fall in line quickly... Lol

We always look forward to Rita's opening back up, means Spring is coming. It's custard, not ice cream, but they have enough to choose from, not a huge selection but come on, how much of a selection do you really need, the service is always great (mostly high schoolers trying their best) and the price is right. They always have a sugar-free option and it changes regularly. A nice treat on a sunny day.

I like the options at Rita's. Everything I have tried has always tasted good. I take away one star because there is no consistency between staff members. This happened a few times last summer (a larger custard and a smaller one being served with the same amount of custard) and most recently happened last week. Two of us got blendinis. One blendini was full and to the top of the cup (winner!) and the other had a sad, half empty cup that looked as if someone had already ate a lot out of it (loser.) Of course I was the unlucky one who got the half empty cup and I got the short end again when I ended up paying the same price for my dessert as my friend who-- without exaggerating --probably got double the goodness. I made a small comment to the cashier about it and she just smiled. Yes, I'll be back, but I will be crossing my fingers that karma is on my side and I get the full treat instead of a kiddie portion.

Very high quality Italian ice for a very reasonable price. Even when it was crowded the line moved very quickly and almost no wait time. The one problem I have is the limited choices on custard and ice daily, but it is understandable since they only have limited space.

Persuaded by the Valpak coupon picturing a big slice of cheesecake (new flavor this year), the hubz and I treated ourselves to Ritas after our weekend trip to the grocery store. Before going, I checked their website for hours and I noticed it also contained the day's flavors. No cheesecake listed, bummer! Mango-peach sugar free, score! Well, I don't know if this is always the case, but when we arrived we noticed the flavors offered did not match what the website listed. There was indeed the cheesecake flavor but the sugar free option was tangerine. Ok? My husband had a cheesecake misto which was quite delicious. I once checked the nutrition facts for this place and haven't been able to enjoy it the same way since. I had a regular sugar free tangerine to utilize our coupon and stick to a healthier choice. I wish Ritas would offer more than one sugar-free choice at a time but I appreciate the addition of "splendarita" soft serve. It's at least more than most dessert places have attempted to do. And excuse my random rant but why in the world is this place thriving in a strip mall in Dunkirk and not at the beach? Why am I stuck with Tasty/Dairy/Crappy Freeze?

YUM! Rita's has reopened for the season! Try a Key Lime / Vanilla gelati. I think I might like it better than my old favorite...Mango / Vanilla. Order outside. The inside has a weird smell...maybe bleach? I have a new favorite here---pineapple/vanilla gellati -- it rocks!!

What sort of douchebaggery is going on at Rita's in Dunkirk??!! I was DREAMING of a Vanilla and Melon Ice gelati as a reward after an oh-so-boring grocery excursion. Rita's recently opened up a location in Dunkirk. The little Italian pennants are all still flying in the parking lot. THEY STILL HAVE THE GRAND OPENING SIGN UP. Yea...right next to the "Closed for the Season" sign. I love Rita's. But I'm taking away a star because ya'll totally messed with me. So there. ps...hope the yelp mods don't take away my cool little "07 Elite" red thingy for the use of the word "douchebaggery". But I was gypped of ice custard pleasure...I'm sure you understand. :)
