Dude. This place is whack as shit. Here we go: Bro spills salsa all over me. Wtf. Way to get body slammed Another bro takes 30 minutes to bring me a drink. I'm thirsty dude Chicken tenders be like the Sahara, dryer like maytag Then they forget to take it off the check. I'm avoiding this place like an old ex gf cuz it's awkward and I don't want to deal with it. Never again

I'm here now. I couldn't wait to write this review because I'm so disappointed. The portions compared to the price are disappointing. I ordered a chicken tortilla soup and what I got was a Tortilla soup. It consisted of a bunch of tortilla strips and cheese (fillers) three shredded pieces of chicken. I asked the waitress if I could possibly have another bowl, she brought out another and the consistency was the same. My husband ordered the Thai Grilled Chicken and it came out on a huge plate, yet there were about 6 pieces of asparagus, small piece of chicken and maybe 1/2 cup of rice. The waitress was okay but not very amiable. We won't be returning here.

This is my first review and I must say that my experience at this Houlihan's was nice. The manager Bill was helpful and pleasant. The waitress Jennifer was also attentive. Thank you Houlihans !!

Bad 1st experience. We were mere minutes after the first three people in our party arrived. They were sat down by the hostess and told two more guys (me and one other guy) would be arriving shortly and ask for the WACA (our organization) table. We did just that - asked the same hostess (I checked later) and she said she hadn't seen anyone for that group. We waited 20 minutes at the front before texting our three other board members of WACA and realized they thought we were late and had been waiting for us. Service was okay - only complaint is we were talking and our President of the Board was talking the most. The waitress kept asking if she could take her plate. NO - just wait! My french dip was sorta of warm but both it and the fries were not very flavorless. The salad before the meal was very good though! Lighting and decor are nice as well as the bathroom was clean. It was one of hottest days of the year but very, very cold inside! It was TOO cold. All of us commented how cold it was. It was uncomfortably cold. I will go back and give them a 2nd chance. I do appreciate the coupons and specials!

The only thing worth getting are the Thai chili wings. The wings are reeeeally good. It's the only reason I gave this restaurant 3 stars, otherwise I would have given it 2. The service and decor are good but the food is lacking. I had the French dip... Pretty flavorless.

I visited last Friday about an hour before closing. The place was near empty so my friend and I were able to truly get a feel of how big this place is and the amount of detail that went into building it. It's truly an awesome restaurant to visit. The food was delicious. The chicken wings...were like no other. The bar looked like it bustles when it's busy. I would go back when there is more people so I can truly get a feel of the clientele. Overall, a pretty good restaurant.

Our server was great. I was in the neighborhood, so my daughter and I stopped her because she lives their fish tacos. They did not disappoint her. She thought they were just as delicious as when she ordered them the first time. I got a burger with mashed potatoes. The burger was pretty good. The potatoes were delish. I also got a chocolate martini that was pretty good.

I'm not new to Houlihan's as I visit for happy hour from time to time since they opened this location. Let me first say that today I came for the half priced bottles of wine and a appetizer to enjoy some of this awesome weather. The wine (Ecco Pinot Grigio) is awesome as always; however, I ordered chicken tender with buffalo dipping sauce on the side only to receive a chicken bleu dressing salad {insert confused face here}. When I explained that wasn't what I ordered, the bartender quickly apologized for the kitchen's mix up and went to go speak to them directly. Approx. 15 to 20 min later my tenders arrived hot and fresh.

Well, as promised, I'm revising my review, just not in the direction I had hoped. While the drinks and dishes are still appealing, the service is less than adequate. We are usually greeted at the front door by a hostess, but don't let this fool you, it's not an indication of service to come. Plus, last time, no greeter. Our server was unapproachable at best, and borderline rude at worst. While she didn't visibly sigh or groan, refills were clearly a hassle for her, and she was very hard to find for most of the evening. I would be okay with that if it were super busy, but the place wasn't even 25% full. I've noticed a distinct lack of enthusiasm there lately. I blame the management, honestly. Either they have some policy of making their servers appear as disinterested and distant at possible (a la Gap), or they are just mean and abusive to the point where it carries over into the customer's experience. Seasonal dishes are usually very good. Got the bier cheese pasta with pot roast two times ago and loved it. Got enchiladas verde (chicken & potatoes inside) last time, and it was borderline warm, not hot. Cooled very quickly, too, so the cheese sauce on top, which was already congealing, solidified much faster than it should have. Flavors were still spot on, though, and their flatbreads are totally worth it. Drinks, too. They are close to losing my interest, though. I'm getting fed up with being treated like I'm just work to the servers. I'm not a pesky or demanding customer, I don't ask for special orders, I'm polite and kind to the staff, so the attitude needs to stop. One more chance, Houlihan's...

This was my first time at this particular Houlihan's and I have to say it was a great experience. The fiancé and I went on a Saturday night and I expected a big crowd and a long wait. It was crowded but we only waited about ten minutes. We gazed over the menu because we both were super hungry and wanted to order one of everything...lol We decided on an app to share. I got fish and chips and he got a pasta dish. We both were satisfied with out decisions. I also ordered a drink or three....no judging...lol They were actually called mini drinks and were 3 for $10, which was super reasonably. All in all, great experience!

Server/ receptionist were friendly and efficient. Appetizers are served quickly. We had Calamari )served with a vinegary dip which is great to cut the funk :-)) and Tortilla chicken soup and both had great flavors and very hot/ crispy! We waited for about 15 mins for our entree to be served, my husband had Brentwood chicken sandwich and I had Thai grilled chicken and both met our expectations except the bread was too hard and my chicken is a little bit dry and served in very small portion just an inch bigger than my palm &the brown rice is not even a cup! Good portion for dieters :-)

I haven't been to a houlihans in years because I never cared for the food. I was pleasantly surprised at this visit. The burger was delicious and the fries were well seasoned. The hostess was very accommodating as it was a working lunch and we needed WiFi and outlets. I would definitely go back.

My review is kind of mixed. I received a coupon for a free entree for a birthday meal. I have been to Houlihan's before and the service was good and along with the food. On this particular night both were off a little. I started off with a Jacks Honey Badger and it came quickly and the drink was pretty good. Along with my drink I ordered a calamari. I never received the calamari and I can at least say I was not charged for it. Yes I could have spoke up and said I ordered it but when you come to a restaurant and asked what you would like you kind of hope that the person who asked you really meant it. I did not get my calamari as you just read but my burger came out a few minutes later. The burger (Creekstone Farms Black Angus) was good but the fries had the taste as if they were just thrown back in the fryer to reheat. They were very overcooked and burnt. I got my check and I was not charged for the burger and that is a plus. Still on this particular night Houlihan's was not the the same as I came to know them. I am chalking this up to a bad night but will definitely take a little break from them as I had plans for myself and a few coworkers to come by for lunch in the near future. I will return in the hopes of a better experience in taste and service but not too soon.

Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food came out fairly quickly and the pomtini was awesome! The only downside was that my sister ordered a burger (Medium) and it was definitely well done. What's the point in asking if the cooks don't know the difference? I also came here for my company holiday party back in December, I would NOT recommend this place for large groups, they just couldn't get it together. We ran out of tables and had to squeeze people in...unacceptable! The crab cakes were definitely questionable, they swore it was all real crab meat, but I know real crab when I taste it... what was that?

Happy Hour is awesome between the drink specials and the food specials why not treat yourself!

I can't complain about this place, I've never had a bad experience. I've been there a few times, each time having a friendly and attentive server, quick seating and good food. The atmosphere is interesting as it's pretty dim inside. If you like that, though, like I do, then you'll appreciate it. If you're looking for a nice sit-down restaurant in this area with decent food at average prices, this isn't a bad choice. Although it's more of an appetizer or side, I really recommend the tomato soup; SO good. I wish I could buy the grilled cheese fritters for myself at home.

Nothing to write home about... Overpriced bar/grill although the service is nice/ place is clean... Service is prompt... Could be 3 except it just didn't make the 2.5 hump.

I went here to celebrate my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This restaurant had nice music playing, dim lights and a cool upscale vibe. We made it just in time to partake in the happy hour specials. Thursday nights is $5 martinis, any martinis on the menu. Houlihan's has a ton of daily drink/appetizer specials throughout the week, so if you're a happy hour type of person, pull them up on-line to find out about them. My dad and I ordered the meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes, another side (I chose a fruit cup) and onion straws. Not often do I see meatloaf on a menu and since I was in a "meat and potatoes" kind of mood, I ordered it. I'm glad I did because I was thoroughly impressed. The meat was tender and seasoned just right. My other family members ordered ribs, the chicken sandwich and salmon. Everyone thought their meals were delicious. The staff was nice and friendly and the drink specials were very reasonable. All and all we enjoyed ourselves and I will definitely be back to this cool restaurant.

This place leaves a lot to be desired. It started off well, but after $9 for 3 pretzels, the experience took a sharp U-turn. The quiche was mushy and cold, and the potato soup was worse than Bob Evans. Out of everyone in the restaurant my daughter was the smartest one when she declared "I'm eating at Wegmans".

Waited 45 mins for Guacamole and chips... Terrible service. Absentee wait staff. Good location and good menu... Executed very poorly. Too bad. Could be such a good place.

The food is usually good, but the service sucks. We sat on the patio for dinner. The patio was basically empty and the restaurant wasn't to busy inside either. There was a total of 4 parties of two each on the patio. You could every one complaining to their companion and we were as well. One lady finally went inside and got her own drink because service was so slow. The waitress was not attentive to any of her tables, never checked to see if we needed anything else and just dropped off the check after terrible service. The manager was a complete slob, unshaven and disheveled. This is the same service we have received the past few times, we won't be back.

Seriously??? Husband ordered the steak dinner when the waitress brought it out my husband asked "where's the steak?" Even the waitress had to laugh!! The steak was smaller then the big mound of mash potatoes!! It was so small it looked like a meatball! Needless to see we left!!

Decent is the best description. ..the drinks were the best part. I ordered a cute little Martini number that allows Yuri ou to try three flavors at once with Martini Minis. The hubby ordered a liter size Long Island--Kentucky. It was tasty! The food..Apps Him: Burger sliders Verdict: Dry Her: Mushrooms Verdict: Too much...fried with some white filling oozing out. Best part was the horseradish dipping sauces Minnie Me: Cicken tenders with strawberries Verdict: Berries were inhaled...tenders were eaten slowly with plenty left Entrees: Him: Chicken Parm Verdict: I've had better Her: Scallops witb risotto and arugula Verdict: Scallops were small and overall flavor was missing. They appear to have great happy hour specials.m I suggest you start there

I can't figure out why this place gets low reviews! I have eaten here at least 5 times, ordered an array of their menu items and drinks, and have been nothing but very pleased every time. Its not five star dining, but I think it is pretty great for being a standard bar and restaurant. Their chipotle chicken nachos are our favorite - they are amazing!

Love the bar. Very modern, service is great, and they have an awesome crab cake sandwich.

First time to visit the chain and I had a great experience. It was a small wait, but we requested a booth. The ambience is dark - perfect for a date night or hanging with friends. Food wise, we had the chipotle nachos for appetizer and it was $12 - well worth it because it's enough for 2 people and leftovers (which taste even better the next day). For main course, we've tried the salmon BLT and chicken parm, both tasty and filing. Our drinks have been on point everytime there, but the best value is 3 mini Martinis for $9.

Houlihan's has some of the best appetizers around. The spicy chicken and avocado egg rolls are a definite favorite, especially with the optional Thai sauce. The tomato bisque soup with cheese fritters is also fantastic. Service has always been prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere is casual chic with subdued lighting that makes for a great place to unwind.

As promised I gave Houlihans another chance. Really because I wanted a key lime martini and their Thai chicken wings. Well, I've gone back twice now and both times were a success. Great service and great food. Tried the stuffed mushrooms and the pot roast French fries. One word, AMAZING!

The cool thing about Waugh Chapel South is that there are many restaurants. The uncool thing is that many of them are chains. This is another one of the chains, located near the back of the parking lot across the lot from the movie theater. This place is a restaurant/bar place that serves pretty good (not great) food at a fairly decent but typical price. If you are going to the movies, it is cheaper to eat here first and get a much better meal than a soggy hotdog at Regals.

Do not go here if you're in a hurry. While the food is OK (not great, not terrible), the service is SLOW. I was here with a group of friends, and we had plans to walk over and see a movie after dinner. All I can say is I'm glad we got there REALLY early, because we would have never made the movie otherwise. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our drinks, and it never really got any better. Once the food and drinks were served, nobody ever came back to see how things were or if we needed refills. And when we wanted our check, one of my friends actually had to go to the bartender and ask him to find our server so we could get our check. And this took ANOTHER 30 minutes just to get the check....and even longer if you were paying by credit card or needed change. Yes, it was busy but no more busy than you'd expect for a place like this on a Saturday evening. I've been to several Houlihan's locations, and have never had service this incredibly slow. Honestly, it just overwhelmed me and gave me a negative feeling for the whole experience.

I heard about Houlihan's from a friend who gave this place (different location) a glowing review. It was a Saturday night and I thought I would take the wife and kids I arrived and was greeted immediately. Seated within minutes. I thought to myself, this will be a pretty good place. Boy was I WRONG. Recieved our menus and decided to through them but the lighting is so dark and not well placed that it make it hard to look through the menu. The waitress took forever (10 minutes) before she finally decided to come greet us even thought the place was surprisingly EMPTY. Took just as long to get drinks which were DISGUSTING! I ordered a strawberry lemonade and no sir buddy. My wife ordered an ice tea. $3.19 a piece After two sips of our drink we decided it would be best to just stick to water. The food came and it was worse. We ordered Chicken Alfredo (Dry) American Fries (Pretty good size) Caesar Salad (Dry) Food was Mehhh overall. Not what I expected. Portion was fairly large, but the taste was just not up to par. I'm assuming that is probably why the place was empty. Long story short I will NOT be going back to this place. Bad Service+Bad Food= DON'T GO THERE for me. $16.95 for chicken Alfredo $3.19a piece for drinks $5.99 kids chick fingers $2.95 Caesar salad $3.50 for fries Total price came to $55.89 plus tip.

Really enjoyable dinner out. We started with the Happy Hour pretzel sticks. The cheese sauce was smokey and very tasty. The ground mustard sauce was sweet with a fresh horseradish taste - very strong and very good. It cleared out my sinuses! My wife had a trio of sliders: pulled pork, pot roast, and Kobe beef. Very good although the pot roast slider was a bit odd with the whole idea of pot roast on a bun. I had a special: Pot Roast Mac n Cheese with shallots and bread crumbs. In a word, delicious! Very creamy, flavorful sauce with a lot of very tender pieces of pot roast. A huge portion, I only got through about a third of it. All in all, a very enjoyable experience for both of us.

Our waiter was great. He gave us suggestions for drinks and food as we were unfamiliar with the menu. I ordered the spicy chc The serving sizes were very large and we were all forced to take food home. It was a good experience.

This was pretty good. I have been twice in the last few weeks. Once for take-out and the other for a friday night girls night. And both times the service was really good as was the food. I've had a beautifully cooked 5oz steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, mixed veggies, the pot roast, and the pretzel appetizer. And I really enjoyed all of it. I would recommend that the servers remember that if a person pays with cash and they have to give $10 back they should do it with a $5 bill and five ones when possible. Make it as easy as possible to receive a better tip. Also, the restroom was really clean and well stocked. Over all I'd give them a thumbs up and I will be back.

I love living so close to so many restaurant options.. I've been here a few times for quick lunches with friends and have always had a great dining experience. I have never once had to wait for table and have always been promptly greeted at the door.. Since it's a chain I pretty much know what to expect as far as food and have not been disappointed yet! I've seen the happy hour signs but have not yet tried anything off of the drink menu so many sometime soon I can make it back for a happy hour.

We went here and got the avavado egg rolls for an appetizer. They were delicious. Their tomato soup was by far the best I have had at a restaurant so try it. My husband got the chicken parmigiano which was different. It had Alfredo pasta then you normal chicken parmigiano on top with marinara sauce. It was pretty good. My kids got the grilled cheese and the chicken sandwich which they said was good. The only complaint was both times we went the servers never refilled our drinks and lacked in consideration. Overall based on food we give 4 stars.

This is an update of my review of this restaurant and I am now giving it 5 stars instead of 1. My boyfriend and I were in this restaurant this evening for dinner. My boyfriend had the cajun chicken pasta and I had the filet mignon, spinach and mashed potatoes. The service from Becky and James was superb and the dinner was even better. We both cleaned or plates. Although I would not typically order a steak from a place that is not a steakhouse, I took a chance and did this evening and was pleasantly surprised. The steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The vibe of this restaurant was lively and fun and the servers made us feel welcome. The manager was also walking around and chatting with various customers. While my boyfriend and I had to wait 15 minutes to get in, the wait was well worth it and I now understand why this place is so popular. We will definitely be coming back.

I was a little hesitant about coming to this restaurant due to its review but decided that my husband and I should take a chance anyway. We are sure glad we did! We were greeted at the door not just by saying hello but actually opening the door for us. I'm not going to lie I was kinda sorta impressed. We were taken to our table and greeted by a new waiter by the name of Andre. He introduced himself and made it very clear that he was brand new on the floor. He also cracked a joke about taking it easy on him, which I thought was kind of humorous and definitely made me giggle. It's very nice when a waiter can break the ice in a setting such as that. The food was simply phenomenal. We had the spinach dip, the chicken wings, and the lettuce wraps.....they were simply amazing. I ordered two of the lettuce wraps as appetizers and one to go, Yesss! it was that great! the wine we had was fantastic. We tasted both the Moscato and White Zinfandel but decided to go with a bottle of the white Zinfandel instead . It was a delightful choice. For our entrees my husband had the full order of the baby back ribs which he could not finish, and I had the vegetarian sliders and french fries that we're so yummy. I also wanted some fruit in my life, so I decided to ask for a fruit cup. The fruit was simply fresh and worth every penny. To be honest I would come here a million and one times. The experience that Andre gave us was fantastic and the food spoke for itself. On the way out the door... Guess what, they open the door for us on our way out! Definitely 5 star in my book!

Solid drink selection. Love the wings and and salads. Will pass on the spinach dip as it could use more flavor. Hated the apple pie. Love all of the pitcher Long Islands.

Read the mixed reviews but decided to give the place a try and have nothing but positive things to say. Prompt and friendly service, large menu with lots of options and great happy hour appetizers. We tried the southwestern egg rolls from the happy hour menu which was the perfect size for two people. I had the small serving of scallops and lemon asparagus risotto and my husband had the French dip sandwich with mashed potatoes (some of the best I've ever tasted from a restaurant and definitely homemade). Everything was hot and delicious. We would definitely eat here again!

Ehhhh, I had high hopes for this place but overall I was unimpressed. The food was just ok. I ordered the nachos and calamari for starters. The calamari was waaaay overcooked so I sent it back without incident and the nachos were typical. For my entree I got the chicken Parmesan, it was uninspired, maybe even a little bland. Overall, none of the food was all that great. I did not order drinks so I can't speak about that. Service was fine.

  • Kathea S.

Pleasantly surprised. Quickly seated on a busy saturday night. Nice decor. Interesting menu. Points for good guac and salsa. Hubby said the southwest grilled chicken wrap was "banging". I was wanting a salad but nothing crazy. Loved the spinach salad. Was just exactly what I wanted. I like that there are smaller portions of items. Again, we expected "chain-y" but were pleasantly surprised.

Visit was mediocre, service the same. While we were seated quickly, the wait had just begun. We placed our order and waited. My wife and daughter ordered soups which never arrived until after the meal was served. I ordered the scallops and risotto. While the risotto was tasty, the scallops left much to be desired. They were flavorless. I ordered the large portion which came on a huge plate that dwarfed the food on it. There were 8 scallops and a small mound of risotto with some baby arugula on top. My wife's goat cheese and berry salad was very good and the potato soup my daughter got was better once I added salt and pepper. Our server was at best slightly interested in us. The alternate server was more interested in us and made the kids laugh a bit. Unless I am in the mood for a pricey berry salad I won't be returning to Houlihans.

This place is middle of the road in the area it is surrounded by. The service is really good, that's for sure. I would say the food is middle of the road, but a little overpriced in my opinion. They do offer some specials each night, the night I went it was wines, but I don't drink wines, so it wasn't much for me. My wife had the tomato soup, she said it was pretty good. But she was not a huge fan of the pulled pork sliders (something she gets at a lot of restaurants) I had the chicken tacos plate, and I wasn't overwhelmed. A ton of Guac, but it was kind of bland. And you could cut some of the Guac for some Pico, maybe some re-fried beans or something like that. Hickima (sp) was pretty bland as well. Just a couple changes and this place could be great....Especially since the service is already in place and doing a great job!

I went for dinner Saturday night with my husband as the Waugh Chapel location opened this week. As I am a vegetarian, I had done some research before giving the place a try. There were many things that were small in and of themselves that combined made for an overall experience that was simply "meh." The wait quoted to us was accurate at 45-50 minutes. I wasn't shocked as it was a Saturday night at a new restaurant. We were seated and immediately discovered a wobbly table. This is a pet peeve of mine that again, isn't a big deal on it's own...but still, in a brand new restaurant is quite irritating. While waiting for our food, servers brought orders to our table TWICE that weren't ours...again, I know it is a new location, but these things need to ultimately get worked out. I mentioned before that I am vegetarian. The website and interaction on the location's facebook page both told me that there was a vegetarian menu and gave the impressions that such options were plenty. The server told me they did not in fact have a separate menu like mentioned. The options were all sides and appetizers plus one flat bread. Not a single entree. I opted for a side salad and vegetarian appetizer. Both were tasty and presented nicely, but neither "wowed" me. On top of that, I left hungry. I can't say the last time that has happened to me in any restaurant. One thing that shocked me for a a new restaurant was the amount of staff standing around...just standing or chitchatting. At any given time, 3-4 employees would be standing in my direct eyesight up against a wall just staring into the kitchen. Generally staff is higher than needed when first open, but I was surprised to not see them constantly bustling about. Throughout this we waited some time to finally get our server back to us to request the check. Don't get me wrong; service was kind and food wasn't bad....but overall it wasn't enough to give me the desire to return. The location seems to be very much about presentation but perhaps not completely able to back it up.

My mini salad (lettuce with a few cherry tomatoes) had a bug in it. A bug. Was the meal comped - nope. I had to pay for it. Awful customer service. I will never go back. It's very dark in there - even at lunch time. It's not a strip club. That would have been more fun... Tomato soup is WAY too salty. Gross. awful food- awful management. Never going back. NEVER!

I have been here a few times. Consistently good service, great food and comfortable environment. Highly recommend the happy hour specials! They have great deals on appetizers and the beverage specials change daily. For entrees my favorite dish so far has been their scallops! Very tender and I love the flavor!

Great food, the portion to price ratio is pretty good in my opinion. The one in Waugh Chapel can have some long wait times though. Also, service is really dependent on the time of day, after 2 visits I'm running 50/50 with great vs. mediocre service. Beware, it seems due to the "lounge" atmosphere larger parties (4 or more) tend to get a little loud even outside of the bar area. This isn't really a knock on the restaurant, overall great spot.

Very good lunch today. The soup was really tasty, appetizers extremely good and my salmon was average but well cooked. Fish tacos A OK as well as the scallops. Overall a very positive experience. Can't wait to go back. Also, nick was a great server.

Average service. Weeknight, 8p. Party of 8. Witnessed Exec. Chef (Blondie) carryon with a dramatic issue with a hostess. That was a turnoff. The waiter never collected the menus from the table, and didn't anticipate refills. The plate and eat wear had smudges on them, I hope they weren't used. The Thai Chicken entree was cool, but the quantity of asparagus that neatly adorns the plate need to be increased from 6 mere trees. Really?? Could that be what all the visible kitchen shade was about, sharing the lil green trees?? Not in a hurry to go back.

I've been here several times, and have not been impressed on any visit. On one recent visit my 9 year old ordered chicken tenders, and the adult mean came out, when I asked about the size of the meal, the server said that my child didn't specify that she wanted the child's portion. Ummmm.... what??? RIDICULOUS! So he took her entire plate in the back for them to plate it as a child's meal -- meanwhile, she sat there with no food for about 10 minutes, while we all had our food. The manager was not very hospitable when I explained what happened, but I later learned that the server was her son, so I guess that's why she took up for him. Either way, I have not had anything here that has made me want to return repeatedly, it's sad because Crofton needs a good restaurant!

Food is presented nice, service can be a bit lack luster. If only the food tasted half as good as it looked, I'd rate it higher. After trying three times to like it, we just avoid it instead, First time they were still a bit new...figured working kinks out. Second time, again food was presented nicely but the taste just wasnt there. One of the appetizers, I believe it was the artichoke hearts...the sauce they smother it in really over powered it and made it undesirable. Third time...combination of service and cold appetizers, followed by cold soup, and cold entree. If there is one thing that I can say was good, itd be probably the most unhealthy thing on the menu. The peutin fries were actually delicious. ...also bring a jacket!! Always freezing inside.

We decided to give this place one more shot tonight. Unfortunately more of the same. Decent service but horrible food. It's so bland and just blah. The steaks were prepared wrong and they had absolutely no flavor. Pretzel sticks came with the most watery cheese sauce I've ever seen. Very little flare for the prices. Out of a party of 7 the only decent tasting meal was the stuffed chicken. Not really worth returning for though. Disappointing for sure.

Not really sure why this place has such bad reviews. The boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday night, got there right around 5 I think, which seemed the magic time before the rush. Only had about a 5 minute wait before we were seated at an intimate booth. Like another reviewer said, the ambiance is dark, but in a classy way that doesn't have you squinting around. There is a bar inside, which looks nice and had a nice atmosphere around it. We ordered the spicy chicken and avocado egg rolls for our appetizer, they were to die for! Melted in our mouths with not too much spice, it comes with a salsa dip and a sour cream dip. Our waitress added a Thai sauce dip to it, and that was delicious as well. My entree was the meatloaf with red wine mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans. The red wine mushroom sauce is a nice twist on a classic dish, and the potatoes were good. The green beans left something to be desired, a smidge overdone and flavorless. Boyfriend had the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. He enjoyed the dish, though his green beans were the same and he wished his chicken had been a bit more stuffed. But overall he liked it. Our waitress was fantastic, attentive, friendly and knowledgable of the menu. At the end of our meal we each received a scratch off ticket for the restaurant, for future visits that will earn up anything from a free appetizer to free meals for a year. Overall, very nice place, definitely someplace we'd eat at again.

The food is good. The service was good in the beginning and fell off at the end. The manager was helpful and I really like the atmosphere. They need better fish and desert options.

I realize this is a chain, but I really like this one. Their style is "new American", which basically means cleaner, fresher and lighter dishes than your usual American fare. For starters, you should at least try a bowl of the Tomato soup. It's got little tips of grilled cheese and the actual soup is pretty incredible. I've also tried the loaded potato soup and they REALLY load it...the green onions really help to brighten up what could have been an overly heavy soup. For drinks, if you need something substantial...get a Long Island pitcher. They have several and at least one that is up your alley (remember: you can substitute cranberry juice for the soda). Pro-tip: get the pitcher...it's a fantastic deal ($10 for basically three drinks) and no one will judge you. If you're looking for a single drink, get the Mango Run Drop with the Chambord sidecar. The tartness of the raspberry really rounds out this drink. We've tried a number of the entrees including scallops with lemon risotto (a bit too lemony for my taste) and a couple shrimp dishes (all good and the right size). This place gets a little crowded on the weekends and parking is terrible at times (due to the poorly planned Town Centre). I hope you really enjoy this place. Pro-tip #2: Sign up for the club before you arrive and they'll send you a coupon for a free appetizer.

The wife and I stopped in after a movie as its right across the parking lot. This was our 4th time there and we have always enjoyed the food. I've had the ChicParm, alfredo ( sauce was a lil too heavy on both) and French dip sandwich. I enjoyed them all. I also like the decor, Waugh chapel is a nice area and this restaurant, although a bit dark, is a nice place to have dinner. They also have a small casual dinning area outside. My biggest complaint here is the service, the waiters are friendly but not attentive. We found this to be the case on 3/4 visits. i.e.One visit they brought out my sandwich w/o the fries. He commented that they will be right out. 5min later fries come and go to another table. 15min later we see fries passing our table again. 25min later we had to stand up and catch another waiter and ask him to get our waiter as he forgot our fires. This has been the case with drink refills, wine and even an entree twice when we went with a large group. Summary - The food IMO has always been good but the waiters are just not experienced enough to give you the complete package.

So it's been a while since I've had service bad enough to overshadow good food... but currently I feel like I am in Alaska, where there's nothing but twilight for days on end. The trend you will see in all these reviews is Food "A" Service "F". My review will keep on par with that. SITUATION : 1900/7PM for most people. -- We came here for my brothers 25th birthday dinner... 5 of us....1 of 2 tables in the server's section. FOOD: Overall, the food was actually pretty tasty. Only complaint was the asparagus tasted a little like coal and lighter fluid but other than that everything else was yummy. I had the pork sliders with pickle fries and it was great. Just the right amount of sweet and zesty. My bro had stuffed chicken and said it was awesome and my mom got the mini plate of Scallops on Risotto and she said it was the perfect amount of food. SERVICE: Dun dun duuuunn..... What... the.... *Fill in with choice words"... I'm going to skip to the end to give insight tot he experience as a whole. I went to go find our server to get the boxes and check she had promised 12 minutes before. I heard one server tell the hostess that our server was out behind the dumpster because "That's where she likes to hide." I expressed my point of view to the hostess, and got back. " Well we were in a rush a little bit ago so she was probably fiending." ( For a tobacco product just to clarify ) I asked for the manager at this point so we could get our check and just get out of there. The manager came up, asked what my problem was... I explained that our server had talked to us all of 3 times and then was now MIA and presumed to be out back smoking for the last 15 min after we had asked for the check. He then proceeded, rather than apologizing, defending his server saying, "The back doors are locked and they don't have permission to smoke right now." Because we know everyone follows his rules... Anyway, I think this is enough to spread the light or lack there of at this place. Again its so sad when a joints food that was actually pretty good is outplayed by the foul after taste of a bad server. I think our servers name was Kate. So beware. If you go here and start off bad. It probably is not going to get better, so buckle up, ask for the check right after you order or ask to be moved to the bar seating.

The food was okay but salty the real issue is the management. While we were finishing up our meal one of the managers spoke to our server and basically growled at her to go home. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but it was really an awful display. When I asked the server about it she acted like it was business as usual. I felt sorry for her. Every other time we've been there the waitstaff has been pretty disappointing. Now I'm thinking it might have something do with the management!

Slowest service we have had in a long time. Promptly greeted and seated. Almost five minutes until greeted by server. Drafts offered do not match printed menu but draft list by server better anyway. Limited tap list with mainly corporate beer. 25 minutes since check in on Foursquare and food finally arrived. Crab cakes are so-so but asparagus side was so hideous I sent compliments to the chef for serving me the most hideous side ever. Tasted like creosote or lighter fluid. Steph sitting on the other side of the table could smell it. Don't think we will be back anytime soon.

I have been here four times and each time, it takes quite awhile for the bartenders to acknowledge my party. When they do, however, they do an excellent job with our drinks! I typically order from the happy hour or appetizer menu at the bar, so I cannot comment on the entrees. However, the spicy chicken and avocado egg rolls are sooooo yummy, it'll make u want to smack a newborn baby!

The food is good. The one star is for the bar service. I have tried 3 times and it has been all the same. You are not waited on until you wave them down aggressively. There is one bartender who is the worst. White male younger. He will get you a beer once then forget about you. The manager needs to clean house in the bar section.

While I typically enjoy Houlihans, the only positive feedback I can report from THIS specific location is that it is conveniently located near a newer movie theater and decent shopping.... oh and also I didn't die. During my 1st visit here our waitress was terrible & spent more time out smoking than tending to our table. Everything from her greeting us, taking drink orders, bringing drinks, taking food orders, etc was so ooo ooo slow.... This is where I thought I may die of old age waiting for her. All the food that came to our table was room temperature and as we were eating it the sky started falling on us.... ok, maybe not the sky but while we were seated INSIDE the restaurant eating, some mysterious liquid from OUTSIDE started leaking from the ceiling on us and as it wasn't raining & hadn't rained in days... I thought for a second the sky may be falling & that I may die. Then the manager on duty addressed us in such an unprofessional manner about the entire debacle that I was so agitated I declined a remake of our wet food & quickly left the restaurant... certain I may die of starvation. Alas I am alive & well to share this review with you my friends. Oh and upon my second visit, after I was seated & waited close to 10 minutes to be greeted by the bartender I was advised they were closing early... A new policy they'd just started the day I was visiting on Wednesday night so again... no real positive feedback to report yet :/

Went for lunch today to Houlihans for the first time. I'm big on atmosphere and enjoyed the low lighting and cool vibe. I had the spicy chicken avacado eggrolls and Parmesan frites with 3 dipping sauces. Very good. Entree was the 9oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was good especially the potatoes. The steak could had been more flavorful, but A-1 saved the day. For desert we had the italian donuts with the delicious kalua chocolate and baileys white chocolate dipping sauces. Phenomenal!!! The manager, host and server were all friendly and helpful. I also liked the location in the Waugh Chapel Town Center. Seems to be a great area to dine. Overall we enjoyed Houlihans and will defnitely be back. Certainly for those donuts.

First time visit and probably last time as well. Had been wanting to try this place since it opened and found the time on a rainy Tuesday night. Not crowded and we were pretty early - 5:30ish. Ordered appetizers and light dinner. Spicy Chicken Avocado Eggrolls which were good. Also got the Spinach dip which for some reason was served with tortilla chips - greasiest chips I have ever seen. Totally unappetizing and not what the menu says the dip is served with. Dinner took a good while to arrive and it's a mixed review. One of our party ordered a bacon cheeseburger - medium with BBQ sauce on the side. No bacon, no sauce, and very well done. I ordered fish tacos which were absolutely good but got another serving of the greasy tortilla chips. Last person ordered crab cakes (Not sure why this close to Baltimore he would have done that, but...) and his opinion was - Meh. Just how they looked too. Very small for $25. Would stick to the bar food if I was forced to go again.

Came on here on Friday the 10th with my girlfriend, my best friend and his wife. It was packed at 8, so we went and sat at the bar for a little bit until our table was ready. One thing I will say about this place is that their martinis are on point. When we were finally seated, it took almost an hour for our entrees to get to us. The manager came over and apologized for the wait and comped us for 3/4 of our meal. Honestly, we had a great time getting boozed up on the martini flights. I loved the mandarin and key lime pie martinis in particular, but they're all pretty good. We ordered the tuna, fried pickles, and margarita flatbread for our appetizers. They were all tasty, but dat flatbread was delightfully gooey with cheese. I ordered the mustard encrusted salmon. I don't know if it was worth $18.50, but I liked it. The mustard was barely noticeable, but the fish was cooked nicely. The sherry-honey beurre blanc wasn't anything to write home about either, but the potatoes were delicious. My gf had the grilled shrimp salad. It looked amazing! Overall, I enjoyed my evening here and am looking forward to coming again.

I'm surprised to see so many low reviews- we've been here at least a dozen times and have always been completely satisfied. The food is good (it's not a 5-star restaurant people, it's a bar and grill type joint), the servers have always been nice and attentive. Yes, the bar gets loud sometimes, but the staff can hardly tell the patrons to shut their mouths (although I wish they could sometimes). Overall this is one of our top 3 favorite happy hour stops. Try the baked potato soup!!

Food poisoning = 1 Star. I've been here about 3 times. The happy hour specials are good, but the service is slooooow. On to the food, I do love the lettuce wraps. They are really good. HOWEVER, my fiance got the street tacos and I won't go into what happened about an hour later. All I can say is that I am 9 months pregnant and completely thankful that I didn't try his meal.

Went to Houlihan's in Crofton, MD on Wednesday evening, 4/24 with my wife for date night. The service was excellent. From the host to our server Bill , who was very impressive with his knowledge of the menu. I had the best white bean & artichoke hummus I've ever experienced in a restaurant setting. The grilled pita and marinated olives set it off! In addition, I splurged by ordering the delicious fried pickle fries. Freaking yummy! yeah, I said "freaking yummy!" The spinach salad w/ grilled chicken, toasted hazelnuts, blueberries, strawberries, goat cheese & poppyseed dressing was oh so delicious! Not to mention the best ever apple pie for dessert that made me feel so guilty, I walked 12 miles and did a combat class the following day! Oh yeah, my wife had the chicken sauté' lettuce wraps, a portion of the fried pickle fries, the prime top sirloin - still mooing, and the ice cream. from the best apple pie ever - yes, I reluctantly shared the pie - had it not been my lovely wife, it would've been a different story. Thanks again Bill for making our first Houlihan's experience a great one! Heck yeah, we're going back real soon!

I've had some great experiences there, love eating outside in the summer. Last night ... not so great. May give it a little break before I go back. I know it was a busy Friday night. They said it was a 20 minute wait, but it was actually almost an hour. I was with my daughter and they seated us in a table in the bar area. Normally, I would be ok with this. But, the bar area is especially loud. This is not Houlihan's fault, but the table beside us had the most obnoxious, loud people ever. I literally cringed when one women bellowed in laughter over and over. I suppose she was enjoying her drink, eh? I understand, it's Friday, drink, be merry. But, geez, it was killing my eardrum. I couldn't even hear my daughter talk. Can't count how many times I said "What?". Our waitress even rolled her eyes at them. But, nobody said anything to them. AND, we were in the bar area, so I shouldn't complain. We ended up boxing up the majority of the food and bringing it home to eat in peace and quiet. My point ... if you want to have a conversation with the person you are with, have them seat you in the dining area. On a positive note, my Cosmo martini was incredible. And, the pot roast was yummy (even though I had to eat most of it at home!) Maybe I will wait til the summer when they have outdoor seating again.

I've been to the Houlihan's in Columbia, MD and love love loved it especially their Thai wings. So naturally seeing one in the Waugh Chapel shopping center I had to visit. The decor and staff are all very pleasant just like the Columbia location. My only dislike of this location is the amount of wings (main reason for my visit lol). In the Columbia location they provided you with so many wings it was practically a meal, here so not the case. My feeling is if I'm paying $11.50 (same price in Columbia) why am I getting an amount worth $6???? Shame on this establishment for cheating their customers!!!

The Ambiance is nice but the bartender didnt know how to make a simple drink. I had to bring up the recipe on Google & to top it all off she still got it wrong. It was just a terrible bar experience but maybe the food might be good but I didn't want to stay and find out...

Had a late lunch there yesterday, but probably won't be back. We were hopeful when we entered the restaurant since there still were a fair amount of people there, we thought a good sign, and it appeared like there was a lot of help in the dining room. Yet we still had to wait several minutes to be seated, several more minutes to be greeted by our waiter, and we waited so long for our drink order I was beginning to wonder if they had to go out and milk the Yuengling before my husband could get a beer. I ordered a bottle of wine (half price bottles on Tuesdays, a bargain compared to by-the-glass, plus it's now legal to take the leftovers with you at the end of the meal -- they recork the bottle and seal it into a plastic bag, same idea as a Seal-A-Meal.) What was odd about the delivery of the wine is that it came already opened and then recorked -- I thought that was poor restaurant etiquette, and in a higher-price establishment, would have been reason enough to send it back. Plus the waiter just left it on the table, and he never filled my glass during the meal, even when he stood by the table watching me do it. On to the food. We got the Parmesan Frites for an appetizer. The chipotle mayo and garlic parmesan dipping sauces were indistinguishable, which tells you something about the seasoning. Plus they weren't hot, probably sat under the heat lamp too long. At least there was a generous toss of Parmesan. For lunch, my husband got the french dip, cooked as requested, very tender, on a nice crusty roll. Good choice. This time fresh plain fries were brought (several minutes after the sandwich), and they were so hot I burned my mouth -- good job! I ordered the meat loaf with red wine mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. The oil used to grill the asparagus overwhelmed the flavor of the vegetable. The mashed potatoes were the best part -- a little lumpy, so obviously real. The meatloaf I didn't care for AT ALL -- it had lots of sweet red pepper in it and was overcooked. You'd think that since I left 75% of my meal on the plate, and turned down a to-go box, that the waiter might have asked if anything was wrong, but noooo. ...Oh, and the muzak!!! Loud, repetitive thumping tunes, probably recommended by some consultant to add a hip vibe to the atmosphere that might be appropriate during happy hour, but not for the moms, babies, and business people that were there for lunch. So: Poor service, mediocre food, dim lighting, loud music = no more for me. Too many other choices in Waugh Chapel.

This was our second time there. The first time we sat in the bar and ordered apps and drinks. Good service, and we thought that the food was fresh and very tasty. So we went back today for lunch. Busy, busy on Veteran's Day. We were seated in about 5-10 minutes. The server took our drink order. No problems and again we order apps with soup and sandwiches. I ordered the Brentwood Chick sandwich and my wife ordered the potato soup. Again, very fresh and delicious. The waiter was good, the manager stopped by the table - well done. I really felt like they cared about our experience.

I was skeptical at first, but this was quite a pleasant surprise. My steak was cooked perfectly, as were the sides. My wife had the scallops and risotto dish that she thought was really great. I am not a seafood connoisseur so I will leave that one for her. It was a great experience and I will definitely repeat.

I have continually returned here for many reasons but overall the service is always amazing. Their servers and knowledgeable about the food and always courteous but entertaining. Outside of that the food never fails to be delicious and they have amazing happy hours specials. You have to try the Long-Islands if you like to drink.

I am shocked there are so many negative reviews... despite them, my husband and I ate there tonight and I am glad we did! We were greeted with an open door, seated immediately, and our server, Laura, was attentive and friendly. At one point she was actually handing me a fresh drink as I was taking my last sip, she was very on top of things. We ordered the nacho appetizer which was HUGE (easily enough for 3 people to split) and delicious. My husband got a half size of the Thai flavored wings, which he raved about. The food came out extremely fast (expected for a Tuesday evening I suppose) and apparently I had the wrong plate... we both ordered the strip steak, and mine was clearly a sirloin. I told the waitress I thought it was wrong, so she asked the manager and he immediately came to the table with the correct meal. He was very pleasant and apologized (guy who brought food to the table grabbed the wrong plate, hey it happens.) And refilled our drinks while he was there. Seems like a good guy to work for. The steaks were well cooked and delicious because of the wood fire grill, and the mashed potatoes, asparagus and broccoli were good. All in all a good meal if not a bit pricey... we will go again someday.

First I ordered an app of guacamole, which never came. When the shrimp salad came I started devouring it, since I was ravenous. By the third slimy shrimp I realized it was all raw.... I proceeded to enjoy it all over again in the porcelain throne. Lovely bathrooms. 0 stars!!!!

They really don't have it together. Food orders were not correct, some did not come out for at least 15 minutes later than the others. Drinks not refreshed unless you chased down other wait staff,. Waiter did not come check on us very often. This was tonight, a Sunday. Restaurant was not busy so no excuse. Manager tried to save the day but we have decided not to go back. There are plenty of options nearby...

The service was amazing! I went there with my family last Friday. It was pretty packed but the employees did not use the Friday night rush as an excuse not to be attentive to us. For appetizers, we had the calamari. The calamari itself was alright.. it was not crispy enough for my taste. And the sauce was like an Asian sauce. It was an odd combination. I would have preferred something more sea based? But for dinner, I got the spinach salad with grilled chicken. The dressing was absolutely amazing! The chicken was not dried either. The serving size was perfect. Good price for the food.

The food is mediocre and I question if the drinks really had alcohol in them. The only thing I would give five stars is our waitress. I think her name was Beth and she was very on point with her service and it seem like she was very excited about serving her customers.

My family and I dined at the location after a church event. We reserved a space and was able to sit immediately. Our waiter was Brian and he was super friendly. He gave great recommendations on food and drinks. My husband and I had the sparkling pomegranate lemonade which was amazing. My husband had steak and I had a salad. My son ate from the kids menu and my daughter had the chicken fingers. We all enjoyed our food. I didn't give it a higher rating because it took forever for our food to come out. My husband said it was due to the fact that he ordered a steak medium well and his took longer to cook. All I know, I was starving, and we filled up on so much soda and lemonade that by the time the food came we were full off drinks. I will have to try it again to give it better ratings. But it is definitely a place to try.

Love this place! Second time today going. They messed up our reservation but the manager was able to fix what another associate did. The food and service was phenomenal. Went to Houluhan's in the new Waugh Chapel center in Gambrills a couple of weeks ago, it was amazing! There were four of us, each with a different entree salmon, steak, Thai chicken and pasta. We had a great server, she took great care of us!

Went here for happy hour with the Mrs. and I enjoyed everything. We ordered the lettuce wrap (that chicken was great), wings, and sliders with bacon. Best sliders I've had since ESPN Zone was in their heyday. My wife said her drink was good (I forgot what she ordered) and my mojito was pretty tasty. We will definitely go here again.

Melinda P. 7/5/2013 Headed home to PA; stopped in for lunch today. We ordered the fried asparagus as an appetizer; it was tasty and I don't even like asparagus haha. I had the bbq chicken flatbread; he had the scallops. Both were prepared well. I prefer a thicker flatbread with more bite than crisp; but, that is my personal preference and it was quite good nonetheless. Our server, Elena, was attentive and pleasant. Needless to say, we will be back :).

Went 6/23/13 evening after happy hour was over. Food seems pricey for the quality. Its just bar food isn;t it? Drinks are expensive. Not the best service, everyone seems to be preoccupied doing something. Need to get there for the HH.

My husband, adult son and myself went for lunch on 6/14/13. Not impressed at all. My husband and I had the French onion soup. It was watery and had little flavor. I had the flatbread with tomatoes, cheese and basil. The basil looked and tasted old and the tomatoes looked like they were in a refrigerator for a month. We thought that the prices were more expensive than similar chains in the area. Service was good but we won't be back.

Our visit was the evening of Saturday June 8. I'll start with the positives. The food was great. We had the wings and they were pretty small, but tasty. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad which was very delicious and had the Italian Donuts for dessert.. also delicious. I had originally ordered Pecan Pie and the waitress I guess forgot to tell me (15 minutes later) that they were "out". Like I said, the food was good but the service was terrible. We were not acknowledged by the hostesses upon entering (3 of them standing there), so we sat ourselves in the bar area. Once seated, someone saw us and offered to clean the glass/silverware off the table and wipe it down. They apparently forgot, so we sat at a dirty table for about 10 minutes until we reminded them. No one brought us menus or silverware, so I went up to the hostess stand to retrieve said items. Again, I was not acknowledged. Eight minutes had passed until we were approached by a waiter who would make awkward comments (attempting at humor and rapport but failing miserably) and made the 3 of us feel uncomfortable. We tried to order wings with drinks but he walked off before we could order. Three draft beers took about 6 minutes to get from the bar 10 feet away to our table. The wings and entrees came out in a reasonable amount of time. The crab cake sandwich made my fiance sick to her stomach. My friend had a burger which he thought was okay but the fries were way too salty. I approached the bar to request to have one of the TVs changed to the Nationals game (on MASN2). I stood at the not-so-crowded bar for about 4 minutes until I was acknowledged. The bartender did not know how to find MASN2. I went back to the hostess stand and requested to get on the wait for a table outside because we did not want to be subjected to our waiter's awkwardness anymore. A total of 4 dishes were dropped and broken in the 1.5 hours we sat outside. We won't be going back until they clean up and get themselves together. The price paid for meals and drinks is not justified by the horrible service.

If it were possible to give 0 stars than that is what I would rate Houlihans. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. Obviously we knew when we decided to go here that it wasn't doing to be a fine dining experience but we also were not expecting to be sick from the food. Literally puking after leaving because the food was that horrible. DONT GET THE ROAST BEEF SANDWICH! Spam is fresher than this sandwich was. Not only was the food horrendous, so was the service. Our waitress was absolutely the worst I have ever had. It wasnt even crowded. Having worked in the food service industry for over 10 years I am absolutely appalled that this restaurant is still open and that people actually eat this food. I will never be returning to Houlihans and I will spreading the word on how repulsive the food, service, and experience was.

I went here the other night with a large group of seventeen and we all had the best time! Everyone got a different dish and no one had any complaints. The food was fantastic. I personally ordered the salmon which came with a mountain of delicious mashed potatoes and green beans to die for. My pomegranate martini was just the cherry on top of a great meal. I think the thing that made our experience even better was our awesome server Kate (I think it said Kathryn on the receipt)! She was so funny and extremely attentive to our needs as a large table. I meant to tell her manager when leaving how great she was but hopefully this review reaches his or her ears! I've been here a few times before just for apps and drinks and I've never had a bad experience. The giant pitchers of long island iced tea are delicious and make this a great place to get together with friends or family. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you've never been!

The food is decent and decor is nice, but service still needs improvement. I've been there 2 times and service is very slow. Both times when asked for the check, the servers took a while to bring you the check. It is a fairly new restaurant and most of the staff is still on training, so probably will give them another chance in the future.

We've been there twice now. The first time the service was amazing and the second time service was satisfactory. The food is amazing. I recommend the jumbo lump crab melt or the seared ahi tuna salad. They also daily make homemade lemonade and have a wide assortment of flavored teas they don't list on the menu. Go on Friday afternoons and sit on the patio to enjoy the live music they occasionally have at Waugh Chapel.

I have been there twice now...the first time was about 2 weeks after they opened and the other time was this past week. The first time was a nightmare, but we wanted to be fair and give them one more try, as they are a new restaurant, etc. NO SUCH LUCK, as it was just as bad the second time. The hostess was really bad (first time a hostess, second time the host)- they couldnt figure out where to seat a party of 4- they brought us to 3 different tables before they found the "right" one. We were fine with sitting anywhere. The service was poor- slow, inattentive. Food was also not very good- buffalo chicken strips were not edible and my husband eats just about anything! Calamari was 85% the "octopus", rather than the rings. Prices are VERY high for what you get, as well. We would ask for something and two different waitresses would bring it to our table...usually that would be a good thing, but not when the food is bad-- we did not want double the bad food! Clearly, there is no communication among the wait staff. It's a shame, as we were looking forward to it opening. Come on Houlihans, your menu looks amazing...ON PAPER!
