    Where to begin. I've never given an unsatisfactory review before. My wife and I decided to try this place on a Saturday night at about 8:00. We've noticed it because we sometimes get pizza at the Ledo's in the same shopping plaza. So we walk in and there is a little hostess table...but no hostess. We continue into the bar area and are intercepted by a waitress/hostess who asks if we have a reservation. We tell her we don't and she says "Well, it will probably be at least 40 minutes." It's hard to describe, but she had this brusk tone of voice, like how could we presume to walk into Christopher's - THE Christopher's - without a reservation. We told her we had no problem having a drink at the bar and waiting. Without comment, she hustled away (but not to the hostess area, which remained empty for the duration). So we grab two stools at the bar between a single guy who looked like he was there to watch the hockey game on TV and a group of two couples. My wife asked the bartender for a drink menu. "Don't have one" was his gruff response and he flipped a menu which at least showed what wines they had by the glass. I tried to order my drink (I don't need a menu), but he scurried off. That was our last contact with the bartender. We sat there for at least 10 minutes trying to get his attention - no luck. Never asked again what we wanted to drink. Meanwhile, I went to find the "hostess" who never took our name to make sure we were on the list. It took a couple minutes to find her (the dining room is in a separate room from the bar) and when I did it was clear she had completely forgotten about us. I reminded her that she told us 40 minutes and I just wanted to make sure our names got on the list in case anyone else walked in (nobody had). She gives this exaggerated SIGH and marches to the hostess table to scribble our name. I return to the bar - still no drink order - and we decide there's no way we're supporting this place with our hard-earned money. We left and won't be back.

    Great little restaurant & bar in a strip mall that can miss by driving by. Everytime I am home, I love going for their amazing Chicken Salad Sandwhich.

    Cute little restaurant nestled in a strip mall..boo...whose idea was that? I came here to meet a girlfriend on a week night after work and enjoyed a glass of wine and an appetizer. I guess they have half off apps during happy hour but no drink specials. We split the crab bruschetta which is basically crab dip with diced tomatoes and it was ooh so good. I'd venture to say it is one of the best crab dips I have tasted if you like lots of crab and not so much cream cheesy filler. I'd be down to try it for an actual meal but for now my 4 star review will stick for a quick appetizer and glass of wine after work!

    I first went here about 3 years ago for my bday. My meal was ok. BUT the best thing was their cream of crab soup. O-M-G it is the best cream of crab soup I've ever had! They have LUMP crab meat all throughout the soup and the flavor is perfect with just the right kick of seafood seasoning. I've gone back at least 6 times in the last three years JUST to have the cream of crab soup. I call ahead, pick it up and head home to cozy up with this perfect soup. The temps are about to drop some more so I'll start going back again. I can't wait!

    I am REALLY surprised by the negative reviews as well. They are by far one of my favorite places to eat in the state of Maryland. Especially for a special occasion. The filet mignon is my favorite filet of all time. They make their own demi glace people! The crab dip, fried artichoke hearts, house salad (blue cheese and tarragon vinaigrette, mmm!), filet, and fish dishes are ALL AMAZING! The desserts are all made in house and to die for as well. Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed!

    I always enjoy my meal here. Recently went in for lunch and had the Ribs. They were great. I love the staff. Always nice and the service is excellent! I recommend that you give it a try!

    The evening got off to a rough stop when we were ordering drinks and my wife asked for a mojito and the waitress looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language. Then when we got to the menu, it was a very limited menu. I had a crab cake over mashed potatoes with some type of tomato and corn stuff to support it. Not a great combination. And lastly the scenery was dark and dreary. Look like it belonged on Hell's Kitchen with chef Ramsey. So I will not be recommending this spot to a friend and I won't be returning.

    In a word,awful. 30 bucks for the toughest NYStrip I have ever had. I could have done better cooking grocery store meat. My companion had a seafood medley , shrimp and crab pot pie. To say it was fresh would be lying through our teeth. Since I sent the food back my teeth aren't doing anything anyway. Perhaps it's a Valentines Day issue? The server was excellent,the management,NOT! I asked for a visit from the chef/manager,the server said he'd be over,no such luck. So read 'em and weep,it on here and Facebook. We ate here before with no problem. For elaborate food don't bother. For chicken, yea I'd do it Otherwise eat in Annapolis .

    My boyfriend and I decided to go on a Crofton bar crawl one night and our first stop was Christopher's. The bar area is small and right as you come in, with the restaurant in the back. Kinda upscale but don't feel like you need to wear a suit. We were pretty casual for a bar night out. You can order food at the bar too, so among a few drinks I got a chicken Caesar salad. It was SOoO good! Excellent choice and I ate it all up. Drinks are moderately priced and they have a lot of wines, but most you have to order by the bottle. The guy bartender was chill and nice and joked around with us a bit. My boyfriend wanted a glass of wine and he let him sample a little before deciding. Really dig this place, would definitely go back.

    So I've been here several times since the original review and it seems to have gone downhill each time. The bartender is less than engaged, and often absent, giving some of the worst/slowest service I've seen in a long time. After 2ish years the menu has yet to change one time, the wine list socks me in the face harder each time because it's SOOO limited (1 Cab Sauv by the glass, for $10...)., and they all still wear t-shirts. The food is still okay, but doesn't seem as good as it used to. We just learned tonight that Christopher's no longer does Happy Hour (apparently for 6ish months now)... that explains why they were completely dead at 6pm. Unfortunately, I don't know that we'll be back... the one $10 glass of wine and delish calamari just aren't enough to keep me...

    I've been here several times, I love this place. The staff is great and the food is delicious. The cowboy steak is amazing. The wine list is great. Also love to get the sautéed mussels and crab bruschetta. On Sundays you can just talk in no need for reservations. A little costly but it is worth it.

    I would like Christopher's more if they updated the menu, just seems a bit old fashioned. Which maybe makes sense as the people I see eating here tend to be 10+ years older than me. I think the younger set is over eating at Big Fish Grille. My boyfriend likes their food more than me. This is likely because he has more choices, since I don't eat red meat their menu is pretty limited for me. A good choice when I'm in the mood for a crab cake.

    I feel bad having to give this location a poor review, but the visit my friend and I had last night was not great at all. We have only been twice and the first time was about a year or so ago for happy hour and we really enjoyed it so wanted to go back, but were disappointed this go, which was also during happy hour. I do still plan to go back and maybe eat in the dinner section next time to give it a try. I was not so turned away that I would not go back. First off when we arrived no one was at the front. They appeared to be pretty under staffed. We were there for happy hour so asked the bartender if the tables in the bar were self seating and she said yes. It took a few minutes for her to come over and get our drink orders and menus were no brought until out drinks were delivered. The bartender never came back over to us. And actually we never even saw her again at all. about 10 minutes after our drinks were delivered a male server finally came over and asked if we wanted to order food. He was very pleasant, sincere and polite, but I believe he must have also been working the dining area as there were times we had to wait quite a while to see him again. Such as, after we finished our meals and waited about 8 - 10 minutes for someone to check on us I had to get up and go stand in the hall way to get someone's attention to ask for a dessert menu. Please note that the food itself did come out in appropriate timings. The happy hour menu (food wise) was very lacking. There were only 4 selections and I remember there being more the last time we went. All the choices are very 'heavy' too, creamy and fatty, no healthy alternatives at all. For that you would have to order from the bar menu. The Crab Bruschetta should actually be called creamy crab dip. Crab Bruschette is usually toasted pieces of bruschetta topped with crab meat, chopped tomatoes with a balsamic glaze and possible some arugula too. This was not that at all. It was toasted baguette tips with a pot of very creamy crab dip. Although it tasted very good, I did not want something that heavy and it was not what I was excepting. The Ginger Calamari was alright, but a little too much breading for my taste. It was also rather soggy (not crisp like calamari usually is) and the dipping sauce was okay. My friend ordered the house salad and she did enjoy it. The bar menu and salad prices were very reasonable at $5 a piece and good portion sizes. I am a cobbler fan so I also ordered the blueberry cobbler, but was not impressed. I prefer my cobbler to be more 'cobbly', but this had more of a corn bread type texture/taste consistency with some blueberry compote on the bottom. There was also a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on it. Not worth $8 by any means. No manager was in sight at all to check on how things were going. I think this would have made the experience better if it looked like management cared more by being present. I was a server at a few restaurants over the course of 3.5 years, so I can understand the slow service as it did appear they were understaffed, but the restaurant should not have allowed this. I will most certainly give them another try in the future and hopefully I can give an update with a better rating.

    I've only been there for lunch but.... Their daily special soup, a cream of celery, is the best soup I've had in a restaurant in 20 years. It was so good I ordered their cream of crabs to try....which was one of the top five cream of crabs soups I've ever had...but not as good as that celery soup. This is a place we've been curious about going to for 12 years every time going the dunkin donuts. Looking across the parking lot I had thought is was a bar that served food.....and then walking up to meet the wife I'd dropped off....I thought this is too fancy a place to go as we are dress, just out running errands... But I'm glad we took the chance and went anyway. Our server Caressa, or Claressa....was very attentive, willing to admit she didn't know but would find out for us per specific ingredients/ allergy info... I had Russian roast beef sandwhich which was excellent, much better than I expected....the bread grilled to perfection, sauce and unbelievably tender given how thick it was. Only not perfect things.....French fries were disappointment in contrast to everything else and ....the "curly Q" script of the menu does nothing to add to their look and is difficult to read. I feel the same way about their web page and any attempt to get people there...but as Kristen P said, sad for them great for me. Again I'd like ability to give half stars....4.5

    I usually go here once a year. It never disappoints, but affirms the frequency. The location is not the best in the strip mall on the southbound side of route 3 and gets overlooked easily. The food is always good but I generally feel like the prices are high- although knocking a few bucks off the entrees wouldn't change that. I have never been in when it has been really busy which, I suppose, allows for the service which has improved over the years. If you are heading that way or looking for a place to try give it a shot. Typically if I mention it to people they will say. "I've been there it was great." Have you been back? "No." Again, the location hurts.

    This is the best restaurant in the Crofton area, in my opinion. The filet mignon croissant sandwich and crispy artichoke hearts are my favorites. I think they may have switched from yummy house-made fries to generic run-of-the mill fries and one time, I had to wait 40 minutes for my to-go order but those are really my only complaints. Everything is so good there and the service is good. This is my go-to restaurant in this area.

    Looking at their website I would never thought it would be located at a strip mall. I figured it would be its stand alone place. I went here for a surprise birthday gathering, and they had a snazzy back room where the party took place. I think this would be a great place to hold a birthday gathering for 30 people. I was told they do not charge for room rental. The room was tastefully decorated, and the atmosphere was quiet. I tried 4 kinds of appetizers, the tomato bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, fried salmon and the calamari. Wasn't too happy with the salmon because it reminded me of a fish stick. Everything else was great! The main course was the filet mignon and the crouquette. It was perfect and cooked the way I liked it. The place is located in Crofton. It's hard to locate and is hidden off the main road. I liked this place and definitely would try it again!

    Decent. Best thing around in this area. Not sure if I would return but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up. The wine list was good and the prices were reasonable. The entrees and appetizers are big enough for sharing. Of note, the pot pie was deconstructed which was fine with me but don't expect a regular pot pie.

    Great wine list, friendly and well-informed waitstaff, good bar scene, love the menu ("contemporary comfort food", I have had most of the menu- soooo good) and probably the best house salad and demi glace this side of Washington DC. Try the Shrimp Pot Pie or the Sirloin Stroganoff, liberally doused w/ truffle oil. They are ridiculously tasty. A great meal for a fair price.

    The two star rating is based on several factors. Since I had never been to Christophers before, I called ahead to try to get a better sense of where this restaurant was at. The first thing I said when the guy answered the phone was "What time do you close?" A pretty simple question, or at least I thought it was. The guy responded with an "uhhh, hold on." Within a minute or so a different man got on the phone and asked what my question was again. It seems the original call taker failed to pass along my simple question to call taker number 2.When I repeated my question, again I got hesistation and a response of "well, it's kind of slow in here. We will probably close up early. But at the very latest we will close at 8." Considering the context, he probably meant at the very earliest, but I wasn't risking it and decided to try on a different night. After that call, I checked out their website and the posted closing time is 10pm, so woe be the diner who drives to Crofton at 8:30 to find a closed dining area. A week later, I made it out (earlier in the evening) to Christophers. When my friend and I walked in, we stood in the little lobby and waited and looked around. Do we go in the bar area? Is there another place to find a hostess? We decided to walk in and the first staff member we found directed us back into the lobby to wait for someone else to seat us. Considering the lack of attention and the previous phone call, we thought about bailing out the door right then, but we made the mistake to stick around. Started with the Maryland crab Bruchetta, which was really different from what we had expected. It would have been acceptable if it weren't trying to determine if it was supposed to be a hot or cold appetizer. Some sections were warm and some were cold. I got the Champagne Chicken. Which was just alright. Most of the flavors just meshed together with nothing standing out as especially tasty. I love sweet potato, but I could not eat the side of sweet potato hash it was served with. It was way too dry. The Champagne Chicken is one of the cheaper entrees, and it sure tasted that way. My friend got the Pistachio Grouper and said was just ok. He did say the risotto was very good and was by far the best part of the meal. The service was very good. Our server was prompt, knew the menu and kept our glasses filled. The only fault was she was heavily promoting the creme brulee. At the beginning she mentioned it. When checking in on us, she told us to save room for the brulee. Towards the end of our meal she asked if it she should go put in an order for it. When the plates were taken away and we requested the Bread pudding, she sighed and went "aww, no creme brulee?" At this point my usually reserved friend asked "what's up with you? You get a dollar everytime you say creme brulee?" The humorous/sad part was it was lost on her and she went on to mention it again. Finally, this place seemed to be a popular spot for an older clientele. With both my friend and I being in our twenties, I think we were easily 35-50 years younger than everyone else eating there. Usually I would give a place with a low rating a second chance, but not this place.

    If you go to Christopher's, do yourself a favor and just sit in the bar. That's what I do. The bartenders are always friendly, service good, bar menu pretty tasty (shrimp salad on croissant is good) and atmosphere is nice. My wine is at least $7/glass, but I expect that. Nice place to meet a friend for drinks, the kind of friend that you actually care to have a conversation with that you can hear. We sat in the restaurant once. That's now why I always go to the bar. Overpriced, don't even remember what I got. No good reason to make me feel like I wasn't invited. Just a little stuffy. Not for me.

    Been here a lot of times. Some bartenders are nice, some are horrible. Overall slow and smells bad most of the time. However food is decent, even if way overpriced. Watch out at happy hour, they advertise half priced appetizers but always charge full price anyway. And count drinks and compare to final bill. some in house bill padding on occasion

    Yes, Christopher's is located in a strip mall. Yes, the interior and atmosphere are mediocre. Any more complaints? Personally, I keep coming back to a restaurant because of its good food, and Christopher's "hidden" location makes me feel like I've found a place I want to keep hidden. Alas, I'll share it with you. As a parent, I am always on the look out for family-friendly dining spots, and somehow Christopher's offers mid-to-upper-mid cuisine while still welcoming families of all ages. Although the atmosphere is mediocre, there does seem to be a fair amount of local-area families that have found this hidden gem, so the atmosphere feels somewhat cozy. The waitresses have always been so kind to my toddlers, offering crayons and paper for them to draw on and showing interest in what they have to say. My family typically goes to Christopher's for Mother's Day or Father's Day, and we're always glad we came. I enjoy my steak, and Christopher's offers a wonderful "Cowboy Steak" with a balsamic-merlot reduction. Only better steak I've had is at higher end steakhouses. The menu is somewhat limited, but for the food they offer, Christopher Bowers does a fine job. If you're looking for a nice medium+ priced restaurant in the greater Annapolis area, I'd encourage you to take the chance. Your palate will not regret it.

    Putting the caveat: I'm a fan of the bar area. We've never eaten in the restaurant itself, but did some entrees off the regular menu. All in all the dinner menu is too fancy for it's own good and expensive to boot. I just want someplace I can get salmon cooked properly that tastes good. I don't need cedar plank seared salmon crusted with pine nuts and a drizzle of some fancy sauce that I didn't even get. Especially not for almost $30. But that being said, the bar menu is fantastic. If they have them, the mussels are always a great bet. They have the best burgers I've ever had (barring the gluttony that is Five Guys). The fries are beer battered and delicious and they have great pickles - no one appreciates pickles but me and Christophers I think. The bartenders are usually super friendly and neighborly enough to stop and ask you about your day. Some even remember your face, if not your name. The drinks are very strong! And if you don't like it or you think there is something wrong with the keg maybe (happened to us) tell them and they'll hop to to get it right. It's not a cheap place to go, but for the friendly atmosphere and good drinks, its way worth it. 1/2 price apps are eh. The calamari isn't my style and the fried vegetable thing they have is just ok. The crab bruchetta is reasonably good - but save yourself the guesswork. Get a burger and a pint (or my personal favorite a "Vanilla Coke") and have a good chat with the bartender.

    Keely and I had the pleasure of eating here for her employer's birthday party. Since it's part of an "eh", small strip mall, I've never really thought about trying the place out. Appearances can be deceiving. I thought about giving Christopher's four stars, but decided against it because of a couple things. The main reason was because our experience was pretty bland. What makes Christopher's stand out from other restaurants other than being in the community for so many years? The decor tried to indicate that it was a fine dining experience, but the paint on the walls was red and beige. Beige?! Talk about boring! Take some chances! The bar area looked intriguing. It was stationed at the entrance to the restaurant and had that classy feel to it. Not too shabby. However, the service was OK. The beer selection was OK. The food prices were high. So what saved Christopher's from the nether regions of ratings? The food quality. I had the best lump crab cake I have ever had there. 3 stars for the food quality alone. I might give a half a star to the other parts of the restaurant, but Yelp doesn't offer half stars. The entire entree was perfect. The sauce, the crab meat, the "salad" bed underneath the crab cake. Wonderful food! If you're in the area and you're looking for some place to eat and you're not in the market for diner food or fast food (the only other options), try them out. If you're looking for something to wow! you in terms of overall experience, keep looking.

    As others have stated, don't let the strip-mall fool you. Christopher's is a lovely dinner spot. I always send my parents here on dates, it's got a nice cozy feel to it inside and the food is delicious. I love both the Salmon and the Filet Mignon dishes, and I've also had luck with the fish specials. There is usually a macadamia-crusted snapper or other fresh catch that I love. This is a casual place that does food really well - one of my top choices for nice local restaurants.

    Setting: four ladies for a Friday night holiday dinner. Salads were huge (house, grilled ceasar (the romaine is briefly grilled), and spinach) and delish. Everyone seemed happy with their entrees: steak stroganoff, BBQ pecan crusted salmon, mac and cheese (with TONS more ingredients than you might think, including chicken and ham), and champagne chicken with yummy sweet potato puffs. Great bread and herbed butter. Lengthy wine list in all price ranges, starting in the low $20's. Service was sometimes slow, but friendly. So nice to have something in the Bowie/Crofton area that is not a chain!

    During the day it's family friendly and good for dining in...nighttime falls and the barfly crowd comes out and it can get rather loud (especially if it's game time w/ fantasy leagues). Not a place to take a date or impress friends (save that for Allison's Restaurant). It is a very casual environment with a upscale menu that is in the $15+ range . per entree. I tried the seared rockfish with the lobster sauce and shrimp....it was a wierd combination (I will stick with seared tuna). The rock shrimp and black pepper linguini however was very tasty, their salads are huge and their drink prices aren't bad..the bartenders have alot of personality and are always free to recommend items be it food or drink and are always up for conversation. It's hard to believe this little place has been in that same spot for as long as it has.

    Lunch was perfect from the lovely greeting at the door through a delicious meal including the most ambrosial dessert sauce ever (red wine caramel) The hostess/waitress was so welcoming and friendly that we had a most enjoyable experience!

    Christopher's is the most stunningly average restaurant I can think of. Their mediocrity is almost beyond compare. A visit to Christopher's is like taking a soak in a luke warm hot tub, not an unpleasant experience, but certainly not what you were looking for.

    Christopher's was always a good standby for date night for when we lived in the area. It really doesn't look like much from the outside and is in the middle of a drab strip mall, but the interior is very inviting and warm. The food was always spot-on, we've enjoyed every dish we've tried there from the steak to the duck to the fish. The menu is obviously picked with care.

    This is truly a hidden gem . Located In a strip mall next to a nail salon and liquor store . I've honestly passed by this place several times without even realizing . Downfall: Took my guest and I nearly 10 mins to be served a menu and be acknowledged. After we received service there were not further complaints . The crab dip is a must try! Served with bruschetta , this item is nice size for sharing. Bar specials include Monday - Friday happy hours from 4p-7p. House Wine at $4?? Why the heck not ?! Count me in ! I will absolutely return .

    3.5 stars Located in a random strip mall in Crofton, can't say it is really easy to spot from the road. On this particular night, the sign was not lighted. I believe that you would pass it if you didn't know where it is. I believe the name of the shopping center is Rte 3. The interior of the restaurant is nice, I think it would be really nice for a date night, nice size bar area, pub tables, dining area is really comfortable. There is enough space in the back to have nice sized private parties. Can't say I wouldn't consider this place "fine dining" as it is described on its website. For an app I had the crab bruschetta. I mean that is what it was called, I wouldn't call it that though. It simply reminded me of a crab dip. I think that the tomatoes were an after thought, as there was a small amount on the side of the dish. The dip itself was delicious, there was plenty of crab to go around. For dinner, I got the braised short rib beef pot roast with baby carrots, pearl onions, peas, and truffle mashed potatoes in a Merlot sauce. This meal just reminded me of home. It was really good, the portion was plentiful, the meat was seasoned and cooked nicely. I can't say that I tasted anything that resembled truffle oil, butter, or what have you in the mashed potato but they were still good. I would venture out to try some new things.

    Recommended by 5 stars. Friendly, professional staff who are mostly females and all wearing black attire which gives a high end feel to the restaurant. Food was above and beyond my expectation. I ordered ribs that was great and it came with mash potatoes which was unique and tasty. See the image. You must try it to know what I mean.

    First time coming here and it was Easter Sunday. Got seated right away, not very busy. Ordered the steak stroganoff. It was very good with a lot of steak. Ordered the peach bread pudding for dessert, delicious! Overall nice place. Service got a little slow as the meal progessed but staff was nice.

    overall average, they have been promising a new menu for over a year and the offers just need to be changed to offer something different. all in our party of 4 enjoyed our experience there last night, Salmon and Crab Cake always great, beef stew fabulous and tasty and the service at the bar from Teresa is great. oh by the way the salads were also terrific. we like to eat in the bar area after going to the Redskins games so we can watch the late afternoon football. the only glitch was the encrusted grouper which I had. for $23 it was not even close to being good. the crust was way too thick and fish way too thin making it taste like just the crust. I was very disappointed and will never order that again. I would take it off the menu now. anyway, you will like the place, it is pricy though, but the food is good.

    You'd never know this place was here. Sad for them, great for me. But also sad for my wallet... Christopher's is fine dining in a not so fine location. Know that, remember that, and expect to see that in their pricing. However, they do often have coupons floating about the interwebs, and though they don't save you much, they're better than nothing. We started with a Spinach Salad to share - reasonably priced, and with dill havarti and a bacon vinaigrette, how could you refuse? Delicious! My mother then ordered the Maple Glazed Veal Tenderloin which came with zucchini, smoked mozzarella risotto, spicy pecans and shoestring sweet potato. So, so good. I ordered the Blackened Red Snapper, which came with char-tomato salsa, aioli, fried leeks and mashed potato, though I switched out the potatoes for some sort of vegetable thing, which though I don't remember, I polished off. In fact, we practically licked our plates clean. Everything was just amazing, and if it weren't for the above-entry-level-job-salary price point, I'd be here all the time. ...Happy hour menu, Christopher's? Food: 5 Drinks: 4 Service: 5 Value: 4

    I came here with a friend and we had a good time. Service was good, food came out quickly. We were there on a Tuesday night around 6pm and the place was virtually empty. I wonder if it moved to a different location as a stand alone establishment instead of in a strip mall, would it be more busy? The food was good. We had the crab dip as an appetizer and it was delicious. My friend got the salmon which she commented was very good. I got the champagne chicken which was ok. We were too full to order dessert, but we would have liked to if we could make it fit!

    Wonderful experience tonight! Our family of 5 went which includes a 6 and 8 year old. Meghan was our server, the hostess was Christopher's mom. Wonderful service beyond what was expected. Good was absolutely wonderful- they even specially made things for my kids. Excellent service! Excellent food! Great atmosphere AND kid-friendly! I can't ask for more than that!

    Amazing hidden gem. The food is wonderful and I cant believe this place with so much charm is hidden in a strip mall. We came during lunch and had the fish and chips and the shrimp salad sandwich. We will definitely be coming back.

    There is a definite disconnect between the food quality and the location, but this is one of the best dining options in the Bowie/Crofton area. Very good food and familiar wine list.

    Friendly clean place with good food. Hard to find a nice restaurant in the Bowie or Crofton area that is not a chain. Parking is crowded, but I always find a spot. The menu has some good choices, but they really don't change it. Because of that, I don't find myself coming back because I want to tried some variety. The shrimp and crab appetizer is just great. The crab soup is equally delicious. The large meaty crab portions make you reorder these every time you come back. The meals are good; not necessarily great. I enjoyed them. If you are looking for a non-chain place, in addition to this place are some good choices in Crofton, of all places, like the Sly Horse Tavern, Bluewater Grill and Saigon Noodles.

    I've been to Christopher's twice now and it's been delicious, with great service both times. On separate occasions I've tried the crab bruschetta and the crispy artichoke appetizers. Both were very good and while the bruschetta wasn't what we expected, we were all pleasantly surprised. The crispy artichoke hearts were quite tasty as well. My husband is a very, very picky eater! He enjoyed the crab dip with the Old Bay bruschetta. Crab dip is an instant downfall when we go to a new place if it's too 'cream-cheesy'. He had the house soup, which was clam chowder which he described as "full of big clams and very 'bacon-y'". The house salad is also wonderful. For the entrees we had the BBQ salmon with Gouda mac n cheese, the braised short ribs, and the mac n cheese with roasted chicken and Virginia ham. Everyone was very happy with their meal and if my husband is pleased with all 3 courses, it's a huge success. Everyone's meal was wonderful, and no one had any complaints whatsoever. Definitely recommend trying Christopher's!

    OMG! SO glad I tried this place!! We tried Christopher's on a whim...we have just moved in to the Crofton area and live right by the strip mall. After moving and cleaning all day, we were famished. The strip mall that the restaurant is in isn't all that great...but when you walk in, it's a cute somewhat family, somewhat semi fancy place. The atmosphere is very welcoming. On to the food....couldn't be MORE impresssed. The menu was great. Everything you could want. Ranging from chicken dishes to pasta to steak to crab cakes. I got the baby back ribs with cheesy potatos and crumbled bacon - delish!! Our whole party (4 of us) ALL finished our plates to the point they looked clean. I would totally recommend this place. They also have a different lunch menu with yummy sandwiches.

    I had higher expectations especially after seeing the menu and prices. We had salads for lunch but I was hoping them to be little more creative, I could have done the same salads better myself. Service was good and decor was nice but since the food was just average I don't think I would return.

    Allow me to begin by saying that we're foodies, not snobs. We enjoy well-prepared food. We like to drink an appropriate wine with our well-prepared food. We're old and comfortable and can eat what and where we damn well please. A well-prepared tuna salad is as pleasing to us as a well-prepared loin of venison. With that we present the following review. We felt we owed Christopher's a second look since our first visit was a bust. We've upped our rating to three stars for the following reasons: - They had real bread - They had the wine we ordered - The dessert was delicious Now for the bad news: This is not fine dining, unless you're idea of a night out is going to Golden Corral for dinner. From the beginning: I ordered the "fried" portabella mushroom appetizer. "Fried" should have tipped me off. "Fried" is not sauteed. They breaded the mushroom and really fried it. All of the delicate flavor inherent in a portabella was lost in the breading and the frying. My wife ordered the crispy artichoke hearts which were surprisingly good. Three stars for the apps, mainly for the artichokes. My wife (the Queen of Maryland crabcakes) ordered the Jumbo Lump crabcake. It was cold. I mean send-it-back-and-cook-it cold. And there were a lot of cracker crumbs in the cake. Two stars at best. I ordered the blackened red snapper. The measure of a true chef is his/her ability to cook a piece of fish. I had to struggle to taste the fish in this over-ladened, sledgehammer dish. This is Maryland, for Neptune's sake! Learn to cook a fish! I understand the art of flavor layering. Obviously this chef doesn't. The snapper should be the hero of the plate, not a member of the supporting cast. One star. The Georgia peach bread pudding was really delicious, which leads me to think that they contract out their desserts. It greatly surpassed anything else we ate tonight. Carley, or server, was great, and is a big part of why Christopher's gets three stars instead of two. And the bread and wine were good. If you're looking for truly fine dining in the Crofton area, look elsewhere. We wanted to give Christopher's a second chance, and we did that. We won't be going back for thirds. But, if it's pedestrian food at a premium price you seek, then Christopher's should serve.

    We eat here all the time. The food is well prepared and reasonably priced, especially lunch. It's usually fairly quiet volume-wise. The servers are helpful and attentive without being in your face. We always leave full and happy. Notice those negative reviews are pretty old!

    This weekend we had a luncheon here. The waitress, Sofie, was wonderful. The food was great, atmosphere was perfect. We always enjoy our food & usually pick this place for special occasions. Great job Christophers

    I am REALLY surprised by some if the negative comments. We love this place. I have never eaten in the restaurant area but always order a full meal at the bar. The bartender is super nice and the food is amazing. I'm a foodie as well so I don't understand how anyone has had a bad meal here. The only reason it didn't give five stars is because I wished they served food later. We like to have dinner around 9pm and many times the kitchen is closed by then.

    We went back for our second visit. I had the BBQ salmon with gouda mac and cheese and my wife had the maple glazed veal with mozerella risotto. Both entress were very good. I have to say I liked the risotto better than the mac and cheese, so I stole some bites. It took a few minutes for anyone too see us and seat us, but after that the service was very fast.

    CRAPPY SERVICE!!! Went for a retirement party at this location and let me say the staff was so disorganized. If I could rate no stars I would. We sat for over an hour before we were even asked if we wanted drinks. Then the waitress comes and ask half of our table for their drink order. We actually had to call her back to get the ordered for the remainder of the table. Then we had to wait an extra 30-45 minutes to get some rolls. The rolls came nice and warm and maybe that was the best part of the experience. Then a measly salad with withered lettuce and three pumpkin seeds as a garnish. How pathetic is that!! Then another wait 45 minutes before the entree arrived. I ordered crab cakes and mashed potatoes. How can anyone go wrong with mashed potatoes? Very bland .... To make matters worse there were no condiments on the table. If at least we had some salt & pepper we could have made it work!! Then it took over 45minutes to get my check and they had the nerve to charge me 18% for service I didn't receive. I had to beg for water many times and sprite that didn't come. They don't deserve a tip. They charge fine dining prices but can't live up to expectations. I guess I understand why they're located in that corner now. Worst experience ever! You need waitresses that can manage a Friday crowd and your food needs more seasoning. Wow ... So much for "FINE DINING". What a waste of my hard earned cash.

    Delicious, delicious, delicious!! Compliments to the chef! I eat here quite often. Never have had a bad meal or poor service. The house salad dressing is to die for. Filet mignon is so tender and flavorful. Served with a blue cheese potato croguette and smoked burgandy demi glacé. Unbelievably delicious! I have pretty much tried everything on the menu. Everything has been incredibly great. Located in a strip shopping center. But don't let that discourage you. A little pricey, but I don't mind if I leave a restaurant and say that was a great meal. And you will have a great meal served by a friendly staff at Christopher's.

    We have been going to this restaurant for years and love it. I have been to many fine dining establishments throughout the country and Christopher's is competitive with most of them. A much better choice than the typical corporate owned bland fare found throughout the area surrounding it.
