I do not know how anyone can give this place a 2 star. In fact, I can't believe anything less than 4 star We arrive in time for the early bird special Two choices of main dish and two sides for $15.95. A real bargain!! Crab cake was excellent. Hubby had fried oysters. He said they were large and succulent. I had crab cake and tilapia pan fried. Just great Salads were cold and crisp. Service was beyond great. Fast and efficient. Just an great meal for a great price on early bird No doubt about it, we will be back next visit to Crisfield. .

small little place with a BIG HEART. the menu always changes so you never know what delicious treats you will find inside. Worth a stop in this quaint little town to find this spot of tasty paradise. Despite the cosy small exterior. . Inside feels roomy and comfortable. Great service and desserts are well worth it

I went here late one night after work. I was searching for some famous Maryland crab cakes, and this seemed like the place to get them! While the staff were friendly, the most memorable part of my experience is the fact that I paid about $30 for two very small, bland, and overall not-tasty lumps of fried crab meat and some filler. The potatoes and gravy on the side were tasty, as was a piece of cake I went back for (also very overpriced though!). My guess is that for a small town it's a nice casual-fine dining, but it's honestly not at all worth the price. (I later found some really delicious crab cakes in Baltimore at Captain James Crab House, though. Link: yelp.com/biz/captain-jam… )

Soup great. Crabcake sandwich fantastic. Ruben awesome. Crab bruschetta bit too much mayo. Service was terrific. Great fries and ratatouille.

Came in with party of 4, pretty early for dinner, only two other tables sat. They still wouldn't seat us in anticipation of later reservations. Should have left at that point. Ended up eating in the bar. After pondering whether or not to spend $25 an entree at a crappy bar table we wised up and asked for bar menu. Two at table got burgers. The burgers looked like sliders on the MUCH larger bun. A sad sight indeed as I expected the Where's The Beef lady to jump out and surprise us! Oh thats right, she is long since moved onto beefier pastures in heaven. The burgers reportedly tasted fine though one burger eater ditched the offending bun for a fork. Fried Oyster sandwich on Kaiser, spectacularly unremarkable, flattened oysters, had me questioning whether they were fresh, or pre-breaded/frozen. Still not sure. Cole slaw just plain poor and too darn sweet, and would have preferred tartar sauce to overpowering cocktail, but thats on me. My wife settled on a veggie burger, hoping for nothing more than a patty out of the freezer. 15 minutes after ordering the "chef" realized they were out. She instead ordered a green salad and side of fries. She got the tiniest salad and smallest order of not warm fries. Sucks to be Vegan in Crisfield dawg. Lesson learned, service slooooooow despite lots of people hanging about. Can't speak to more expensive and elaborate entrees or the desserts, which looked nice and varied.

The cream of crab soup is the best around at the best price. When you can a bowl of crab soup for only $5, when the Goose Creek Marina in Westover is twice the price...this is a no brainer. I visited my dad who lives in Lower Westover, and I would drive 20 miles to the Waterman's Inn, before I would drive a mile down the street to the Goose Creek in Rumbley, because their soup is an outrageous $10....and half the quality, and half the service.

Wow! This restaurant is awesome! Peg was our server and could not be more delightful! Caroline was our bus girl and was fabulous! The food was WOW! I grew up in Maryland and I have had some amazing seafood in my day, but this place is the best of the best! Check it out!

We went for the Hard Crab Festival this Labor Day weekend. We've been to Waterman's Inn before and have always been impressed. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but this is The Eastern Shore! Inside it's one of the best restaurants you will ever experience. Save room for dessert. They always have cakes and pies that will knock your socks off, including Smith Island cake. Today we had Baltimore Crab Soup, Caesar Salad with a 4 oz crab cake, and Boston Cream Pie. Everything was wonderful. Service was prompt and friendly. We were there early for lunch, but the dining room was booked full after 4:00 pm today. The bar is still first come first served after 4:00 pm, but it can be tough to get in. This is a very popular place, so if you come, plan ahead.

I love the decor in here. Mornings for brunch the ambient light from the outside really enhances the experience. At night, the lighting is subdued and makes for a very laid back and relaxing experience. The service is just great, great, great!!!!!! The bar is great. In this little dying town of Crisfield, the Waterman's is a little out of place, but it is an oasis, for sure. Was just there last weekend for dinner. Had crab cakes which were really good. Not outstanding (yet) because they weren't serving local crab, but had to import crabmeat. It probably came from out of the country and it just isn't as good if it has been imported. The home made bread was very innovative, and very tasty. The one downside to the experience was the bagged salad. I hate bagged salads, much like getting sand in my Jockey shorts. I'm sure it has something to do with Crisfield being at the end of the world that they can't get fresh salad vegetables daily. But, looking at the entire dining experience, it was quite good and I expect to be going back.

Was very excited to see good reviews for this place. After a very long day we wanted to grab a bite for lunch. No other places were open in Chrisfield. We go in , we were never greeted, and when were seated, the waitress was so rude. She threw the menu down and said what was on special after we asked for them and turned her back with disgust. We wanted to leave. After waiting for our lunch , we get our food and what a let down. The crab cakes were so small, the size of small hush puppies , hardly any fries, one small thing if coleslaw . We will never ever stop there again. We spent $100 for 4 people but we would have been better off eating McDonald

Our favorite spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and especially with friends! The food is in a league above the local fare, and the desserts are to die for! The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate. Try the blackened shrimp and cheesy grits appetizer, and creative and delicious specials of the day main dishes. Worth the drive to Crisfield.

Have been a fan of Waterman's for years, but as of late it seems to have gone downhill. Still a good meal, with some of the best homemade desserts you'll find on the Eastern Shore!

This is your best bet for "fine dining" in Crisfield. The outside of the building is hideous (you can't miss the orange building), but the food is great. Little cramped inside as it is small, but service and cuisine is outstanding

Crab cakes were really good. Everything else is meh...friendly Eastern Shore service.

A very nice surprise. The food rivals that in fancier and higher priced places in major cities.

An excellent restaurant in an unexpected place. Good food, great service, and friendly people. I recommend stopping by sometime for the crabcakes and the dessert.

It is the Watermen's. Stopped for lunch in the off-season -- uninspiring food. Maybe during the summer season this is a special place, but in late November it very disappointing. We didn't try the desserts that looked fabulous and are made on the premises but for lunch alone, don't go out of your way to come here.
