Pretty good I must say. I got the burger and really enjoyed it. The workers there were extremely nice. I would def go back again.

Ok. Hands down the best soup to be found anywhere. Everyday he has 5 or more home made soups (different every day) to select from. Went 3 days the first week after I tried it. Great staff, fast food, filling, and at a great price. Try the Brie Mushroom or their homemade Gumbo. It's a treat!

side street café never disappoints for lunch. While the seating is a little....cramped, the décor makes you feel like you've been welcomed into someone's home for a great meal. The service is unfussy and fast. As small as it is, I've never had to wait for a table or my food. The menu consists of eclectic lunch classics and I suggest trying a soup (I love the mushroom & brie bisque) and something off the specials menu. The chicken gyro with side salad and fries I had today had me scratching my head as to why this place isn't more well-known, but I'm happy to keep it a secret. I gave it 4 stars only because the owner always seems so grumpy!

My daughter and I ate lunch here yesterday and had a great meal. We both ordered off the specials board and our subs were served with soup, salad, pasta salad and chips. The soup was outstanding as was the sub! Be back soon.

Anyone who gives Side Street Cafe less than five stars has been eating at chain restaurants for entirely too long. Family owned, CONSISTENT quality. You will NEVER see them on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I was heartbroken when I thought they had closed because the building kept flooding. But they bounced back and are resilient as ever. The staff couldn't be more professional, courteous and AGAIN consistency. The food is always fresh. Soups are great. Old style glory. Great place for a quick business lunch or just a lazy dine out. They will never rush you. Again, CONSISTENCY and quality. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...

Even though I've lived in this area for a long time, I never knew about this place until my neighbor recommended it. Wow! What a find! Service is attentive and the food is fresh. Even the salad dressing was homemade. I'll definitely be coming back!

This unlikely little restaurant located in what appears to be a Uhaul parking lot is a surprisingly good lunch spot. The atmosphere is a bit bizarre as is the location, but the service was good and the food even more so. I enjoyed the vegetarian pita and the fries were delicious. Prices a very reasonable as well. I would definitely return if I was in the area as it is a welcome respite from the usual chain offerings around.

I have been here for lunch many times and the food is consistently yummy. I have always had the same thing as have all my friends and hubby - we always get the kabob and rice. It is so so good. The meat is marinated in some sort of citrusy goodness and the saffron rice is delish. The seating is cozy, but pretty snug, so don't come here to talk about anything confidential - everyone at the tables around you will hear. The owners are super nice and the food comes out quickly. If it's your first time here, it's semi-challenging to find. It's hard to see the entrance from York road. The cafe is located next to Andy Nelsen's Barbeque by the Uhaul. The parking is directly in front of the building where the Uhaul place is, and the entrance for the Side Street Cafe is....on the side of the Uhaul building. I highly recommend this place for lunch! :-)
