Beyond annoying, this order. OG now uses Menufy for online ordering, which is fine. But shortly after I placed my order, a guy from OG called to tell me they were out of something I ordered, and to ask if there was something else I wanted. There wasn't, so I asked him to just refund that part of the order. "You have to call Menufy to do that." Seriouslty? I just call them up, tell them I'm owed money and they give it to me? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He insisted that there wasn't any other way to get a refund, and when I pushed back, he curtly said, "Talk to you later" and started to hang up. I said, "Wait..what's going to happen now?" He said he'd call them for me and process the refund. I waited about 20 minutes, then called Menufy myself, where a nice guy named Garrett told me that no one from OG had called for me. He went on to say that, of course OG has a way to process the refund on their end, but that he would call them for me, verify my story about the refund, and then send me an updated receipt. Very nice guy. When the refund came through, it had been refunded, without the tax I'd paid. So I had to call Garrett back at Menufy (I only bothered for the 36 cents on principle) about it. He said the manager at OG told him to refund $5,98. I told him it should be $6.34 with tax, and asked him to call OG back to get the correct amount credited to me. When he called me back, he said OG had approved the additional refund, but he wanted me to know that at Menufy, they can only process one refund per order, so he was going to have to get his IT guys involved tomorrow to process the rest of the refund. We'll see what happens. But what a hosed up system. If OG wants to offer online ordering in an attempt to make things easier for everyone, they can't abdicate responsibility for managing refunds, quickly and easily for customers. Truly, their food isn't worth this amount of effort it took to get it. If I ever order from them again, I'll call them to place an order...and get them to do 100% of the work.

Having recently spammed my apartment building with their menus, we thought we might give them a try... BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE. We ordered a panini, a kids pizza meal, and a chicken cheesesteak. We couldn't wait for it to arrive... And unfortunately, that is what we had to do. ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, in fact... Except it actually DID NOT ARRIVE, I called them to ask about it. And here is what they said: "Our driver just went to your apartment and nobody was there! He said he rang the buzzer ten times!" So I asked this guy, "Why didn't he call me if that is true? We were here the entire time and had the curtains open - we never saw anybody carrying food." And the smart guy on the phone said to me, "Well, sir, it's my fault because I didn't write the number down." "So you have it but didn't write it down on his order form?" "Yes", the guy said. So I asked him, "Why wouldn't he call you and ask for it, or ask you to call us?" "I don't know, but he can be back in ten minutes," was all he could tell me. I told him to just cancel the order because it's been so long...And he starts BEGGING ME to take it. "SIR IT'S RIGHT HERE ON TOP OF THE OVEN, I'M LOOKING AT IT. HE CAN BE BACK IN 10 MINUTES!" Yeah, like I want food that's been sitting around in someone's car for 45 minutes at this point. Don't call Giorgio's, the experience will leave you sad.

We've ordered from here twice. The first time was PERFECT. I was somewhat dubious about ordering delivery from an italian place that serves chicken and waffles and tikka masala, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was on par with some of the best curry I've ever eaten. The cream of crab soup was also delicious. We ordered from them relatively early in the day-- around 3. The second time we ordered from them was later, an hour before they closed, and the consistancy was NOT the same. The chicken tikka masala was noticeably less then they had given me before, the rice was slightly undercooked, and one of the pieces of chicken was a disgusting mass of cartilage-- which is significant because you don't get all that much chicken. When it's made well, it's worth the price, but last night I was disappointed. Additionally, my fiance's stromboli was slightly undercooked, and the dough was raw in the center. I think they got lazy because it was close to closing. I would recommend these guys earlier in the day. We'll probably give htem one more chance because it was so good the first time. Delivery takes about an hour, which is what they estimate. I'm okay with that. I'd even have been willing to wait longer, provided the food was up to par.

I ordered a pizza online and after an hour and fifteen minutes, called to check on the status. They said they never received an order and that I should talk to Foodler. I tried to tell them that Giorgio's web site allows orders and the woman on the phone started arguing with me about there not being anything wrong with their website. I wasn't able to talk about how to get a pizza so I hung up, called another local pizza place and enjoyed a delicious pizza. I will never order from here again.

We were really disappointed in Giorgio's. We ordered some steak subs which were just OK and the Steak Tenderloin Kabob platter. What we got was a large box of rice with a FEW SMALL pieces of meat and a couple of vegetables for $10.95! It was nothing like what the picture on the menu looked like. Very deceiving. I guess stapling the bag closed prevents the person picking up the order from looking at the food until you get it home. I can't say that we will be back.

Giorgio's was recently remodeled. Unfortunately, that meant getting rid of the ample seating. I guess that the rent on the two units at the strip mall was excessive, so the remodel dropped the space down so that the whole place fits in one unit. The food is still very good. I only go there during lunchtime on weekdays and usually get a sub or kabob. Another guy who lives around the area tells me that the delivery service, at least in the evenings, is painfully slow.

I've only had the pizza here, and can say it it ok. The sauce is slightly sweeter than I like it, but they are consistent with the way they make it. I had their pizza for the first time 5 years ago and once every few months since then...always comes out the same. All regular pizzas are half off during the weekends and that is a great deal. For the price & quality, you can't go really go wrong. Just don't go expecting NY pizza and you'll be ok.

The "Original" Giorgios. Please don't go for the other fake ones that have set shop in Timonium and else where. Their pizza is great and kebabs are totally worth a shot! Their burgers are made from fresh ground chuck and are very succulent and juicy. Our favorite place to order lunch and dinner!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
