Very disappointed. We used to love this place and it has changed. The sushi rice was mushy. The fried rice was Bland at best. Nothing was how it used to be. SUCH a bummer bc it used to be great. Not coming back anytime soon.

Always amazing food and nice staff! It is the best sushi place in town!

Good sushi. Best price on sushi rolls around. Buy 1 get 1 free. This is my kids favorite restaurant so we eat here regularly. I'd recommend.

Phenomenal sushi on the eastern shore, just over the bay bridge. They do a sweet BOGO deal on sushi rolls, which makes this both delicious and affordable. We stop here on our way back to DC whenever we can.

Worth the drive!! Great sushi :) Great service! Great views! Gave it 4 stars just because we came around their break period so we felt a little rushed towards the end. But I loved the atmosphere and food and the great sushi deal. Winner.

Decent sushi spot tucked away near the water. They have buy 1 get 1 free sushi rolls all day. I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I've had but it wasn't bad either. They have outdoor seating available and the inside has a modern feel to it. The server was very polite and did a good job overall. Overall it's a cheap and decent sushi spot. I would come back again if I was ever in the area.

We moved to the shore last year. Assuming there were no good sushi places on the shore we quit looking. Until we found Sado. The Sushi here is excellent. It is better than anything I had in Baltimore, and could compete with some sushi I've had in Japan. It is well prepared and very well priced relative to what I have paid in the past. Every roll and sushi-mi we have ordered has been presented well and delicious. If I did have a few constructive criticism points for Sabo, and the only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me would be: 1. Get new menus, your menus are old and stained. First time I was there I was very skeptical when handed the menu. But delighted once the food came. 2. Some of the wait staff needs training. Some questions we asked we got blank stares with one waiter. Other waiters were spot on. Bottom line, if you are in the Kent Island area and gotta have some good sushi this is your spot.

So, they have this "buy one sushi roll, get one of equal or lesser value for free" deal. We buy 2- $12 rolls and 2- $5 rolls. Get this, they give us the 2-$5 rolls for free! Somebody tell me how that's not FRAUD! Not very inventive sushi either: Dragon Roll=California Roll with eel on top Rainbow roll=California roll will other fish on top. Small rolls too, especially for $12. If you do go, buy 2-$12 rolls and pay. Then buy 2-$5 rolls and pay. Maybe it will work!! Good luck and Happy Eating!!

My wife and I love this place. The service is the best and the food is amazingly priced. This is the first place that comes to mind when we think date night!!!

Oh my goodness, how I love Sushi. So when a close friend rang me up and told me that I needed to travel across the Bay Bridge to try this new Sushi place they had found in Chester, I said "OK". After 45 minutes in traffic and a $6.00 toll, this place better rock my socks off. What a cool joint, first of all it is really close to the water and seems to be located in an old house. The atmosphere inside is trendy yet very moderate. This is a place that the "outside does not match the inside". They have a pretty small wine list, and saki is available both hot and cold. They have a very large variety of food represented on the menu including some wild sushi combinations, along with some traditional Thai/Asian dishes. Tonight I am going for the Sushi, I started off with a few rolls including a Spider roll (battered soft-shell crab, cucumber, avocado, and I believe sprouts.). Next we had a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and a salmon avocado roll. Still craving more we moved on to the Volcano roll (crispy tuna roll with cucumber, and crab meat topped with a spicy sauce). The food was great, not awesome or the "best ever" but for a small town like Chester this place is a great find. I will frequent this place when I next visit the area. I recommend that you try this place at least once and try something that might be different than you have in the past. Nice staff and great food. Thank you Cafe Sado.

The sushi here is fantastic! The sushi chefs do a wonderful job here--and for buy one get one on sushi, how can you lose!? I recommend the volcano roll; it's definitely my favorite! The service does leave a bit to the imagination--they're quick to get your order, but you don't see them again until your food is done, and good luck finding anyone when you're ready for your check--but with the sushi as the shining star, it's definitely worth your effort to make it out here. Tip your sushi chefs!

Greatest sushi on the Eastern Shore! My family and I drive a good 45 minutes just to get a bite of this sushi, it's that good. The sushi is really fresh and nicely sized. The 'buy one get one free' offer is also great, saves us lots of money every time.

Formerly the Brooks Tavern, Cafe Sado is a sort of pan-Asian place that now occupies the space of the former Brooks Tavern restaurant. Menu is fairly standard but seems to have more of a Japanese feel, as they offer sushi and sashimi primarily. Other items that make the fold are ramen, bento boxes, and some curries that fit in the mix. A straight forward bento box is presented well. Nice mix of salad, side miso, and well prepared chicken on a bed of rice. The sushi is also done simply, stick with the common items and they will be alright. The rice isn't hard or gummy, and the rolls don't fall apart either. I was looking for more crab based items, and this is something that could really be accentuated on the menu but really isn't. However it is still ok. Ramen though is a bit of a letdown, but not terrible. The noodles are basic store bought package, and overcooked, but the broth is a simple chicken, and the experience comes off like eating chicken noodle soup more than anything. It's still edible, but also tiny, but for ten dollars doesn't totally break the bank, but doesn't give your moneys worth either. Visited at a very quiet time. so there was no problem with service, If anything the staff was incredibly eager and very courteous with their service. It's not amazing or even great food, but if I was in the area and needed a sushi fix this would probably fit the bill nicely.

One chance was enough for me to never return. I went here with a large group for dinner & the waiters/waitresses were NOT helpful in accommodating us even though we reserved ahead of time to ensure everything would work out. When we got there, the table(s) weren't set up for us & we (the group) had to figure it out on our own & ended up having to split up into 3 smaller groups, it was outrageous! After that maddening event, we were given menus & the waiter for my table of 3 came back in 2 minutes of handing us our menus asking us what we wanted. I asked for more time & I regret it when 15 minutes later he still wasn't back. When we finally ordered after 20 minutes of our waiter disappearing, it took another 30 minutes of our rolls to be served. I also asked the waiter if the Thai iced coffee was good, he said that he would give me one free (on the house) to try. When I got the drink it was filled to the brim & it came with simple syrup to add on. My question is how am I suppose to add the syrup when it's filled to the brim? It wasn't good anyways, after a sip to get it below the brim & another sip with the syrup, I pushed it aside. The Thai iced coffee didn't taste fresh, there wasn't a strong or even remote coffee taste to it. When my rolls came, it was not a pretty sight. The rice wasn't sticky & the ratio of rice to the fish was terrible. If you screw up on the rice, which is essential to good sushi then the whole roll is a disgrace. When I went to the restroom, I saw that Hispanic workers were making the rolls instead of an actual sushi chef. This is not to be snobby, but all respectable sushi establishments have a chef who is trained in the preparation/creation of sushi to ensure it is safe for consumption. The fish did not taste fresh at all. When we finally got our check, I noticed that the waiter charged me for the Thai iced coffee even though my friends all heard him say it was free! This establishment is the only sushi place arounding so I reckon most people in the surround area have never tried actual sushi worth writing home about. Either way, this was a terrible experience.

Cafe Sado is a fairly new restaurant in Chestertown, and as such it might be still figuring itself out. Overall I had a good experience. Their sushi tastes a bit dry, as if it might be premade and not made to order. There's also no physical sushi bar, so you can't watch it being made. Some may not care about whether you can watch the chefs create your rolls, but it certainly ensures that you know your fish is fresh. However, the prices for sushi are fairly good, and (at least for now) there's a buy one get one free deal for all sushi rolls, so it's always worth it to get 2 of each roll. The Thai food they serve is good, but not fantastic. I ate the chicken sate and the peanut sauce served with it was thick and very flavorful. My salmon entree was also huge and didn't taste dry or old. I'd recommend getting the Thai seafood lemongrass soup if you like spicy soups. The combo Thai meal was a great deal because you get an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert at a very reasonable price. Other reviewers had mentioned service being not so great. This was absolutely not the experience I had when I went. You definitely need reservations because this is the only sushi/Thai place in town. Even on a Tuesday evening it was packed. Our food came out very quickly and they were very accomodating for my friend who couldn't have peanuts on one of her dishes.

Overall a good experience, I tried the chili garlic beef fried rice. Tasted good but it could have been hotter. Waiter was friendly and the restaurant was clean

This place has to have the worst service in the entire eastern shore. I asked the server if I could change my meal selection to from one dish to another. He brought out both meals and argued with me that I ordered both. Everyone at the table heard what I said, he had the audacity to question me. Who orders two entrees? Not only did he get an attitude, he didn't visit us again until we needed the check. This guy made the mediocre food a much worse experience. He then added the gratuity, and gave more attitude and argued that it shouldn't be taken off. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves for employing this person. Not to mention he let us sit 45 mins to take our drink order and an hour to get our food.

The BEST sushi on the Eastern Shore! Our family has been eating here for the last 6 years and we LOVE Cafe Sado! Fiesta Roll & Volcano rolls are delish!Great Thai dishes as well! Don't leave without getting the Fried Ice Cream! Our favorite restaurant on Kent Island!

Tucked into a neighborhood on the bay. It's doesn't get any better than this. Loved it! The service is great and the food is perfect. Great view too. I recommend it.

I really want to continue loving this place but the service is so bad that it outweighs the usually great food. Last night we waited 30 minutes for 2 rolls. And two tables who sat after us were served first, plus the table next to us was paying a bill and they were handled first; unacceptable. My husband said the food wasn't as good as it usually is, which the one spicy roll we ordered was a bit mushy and flavorless. The other roll was very good in my opinion, but I may have just been starving and was happy to eat. The place wasn't packed at all so you couldn't blame that on the slow service. The waiter actually looked lost and had no idea who ordered what.

  • Katherine S.

The sushi is ok, but the others are bad. Not authentic at all. First, no real Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese will sell both Japanese food and Thai food together, because the philosophy behind these two cuisines are very different!! One love the original taste of the food itself, another adore various kinds of spices. Not to mention neither Cafesado's Japanese or Thai food is good. Service is always slow and full of mistakes too. I think it still exists because there is no competition in this area and most people in this island are not asian either. However, I give Cafesado one extra star for serving Thai tea the right way! Many fake Japanese-Thai resturant in eastern shore doesn't even bother to put thai tea on their menu.

Sad to say for the 1st time Sado has really let me down this time. So sick a mere 20 minutes after finishing our rolls. 2 bites in I thought it didn't taste as fresh as normal but like a fool dismissed it... Needless to say we barely made it home. :(

Arrived an hour before their posted closing time. As I was right at the door, they turned off the entry lights and interior lights yet the door was open. They saw me coming and did this purposely. Is it really that hard to tell someone you're closing? I can only imagine what the service would have been like had I entered.

A 16-mile bay bridge backup meant that our trip home from Ocean City was going to take at least an hour or two longer. We were tired and hungry, but not so desperate that we were content to pull off to the nearest Royal Farms to make a dinner out of snacks. Using our handy dandy Yelp app, we found that Cafe Sado was only six miles from the stand-still traffic and would keep us near 50 to easily jump back on our route home. We were a little confused when we pulled up because there was a sign for an Inn and we couldn't see the Sado sign in the dark, but it's the right place! When you walk in, there's a small room with a bar to your right. Keep going up the stairs and there's the hostess stand. We received excellent service; both the server and the hostess were not only adorable, but friendly and prompt as well. The sushi came right away and was tasty and fresh. Some of the other reviews implied that the buy one get one sushi is for lunch only, but nope- it's all the time and it is awesome! One of our rolls did come out wrong, but our waitress was quick to correct the mistake. The rolls aren't huge, but bigger is not always better. Maybe order one more than you typically would when considering the specialty rolls. This was a fresh and delicious meal- we might have to make it a regular stop on the way back to Baltimore from OC!

My friend raved about this place and booked us a table in advance for my visit. We realized we were going to be 15 minutes late so I called to let them know. The girl who answered seemed very unenthused and almost angry. When we arrived we waited about 3 minutes to be greeted by who I assumed to be the same dry and unenthusiastic girl. She never smiled and didn't seem happy to be there. Maybe the service industry isn't for her. I was a bit turned off by the high schoolers congregating in the waiting area and sitting on each others laps...I suppose you can't control your customers though. We were seated (although our table wasn't even ready even though we arrived late) and met quickly by our waiter. Our server was pleasant enough and helped us quickly and efficiently. Part of our order was forgotten about, but everything tasted pretty good once we had it. Could have gone for a little bit more ginger with my sushi roll, especially considering we were sharing one plate with two rolls. The fried ice cream was delicious. I'd consider returning but hope they have a more mature staff and atmosphere next time.

Great sushi! Great service, found this place by accident & go back often. Feel like I'm walking into a spa... such a pleasant atmosphere. This place is a hidden gem on the Eastern shore.

Incredible sushi, even better prices! The quality and price of the sushi is on par with sushi I've had in Japan while living, working, and studying there. Cafe Sado is the best sushi place I've been to in Maryland, and the top 3 I've been to in the US. The 2 for 1 sushi is NOT to be missed! I'll be coming here every week from now on

This is a restaurant whose glory days are well in the past. Tonight's meal featured slow, inattentive service, hot and cold edamame that was heavily salted, an incomplete sushi order, and salmon roe that, had we eaten it, would have made us all sick. When we entered we were greeted by an empty host / hostess stand. A man in the kitchen walked by and ordered a waiter to seat us. Apparently the waiter never bothered to let the other waiters know that he had seated us so we waited ten full minutes before a waiter started to clear the table behind us. He acknowledged us with hands full of dirty plates from the table behind us. Adding to the charm and atmosphere he put the dirty plates of full of half-eaten food on the table next to us as he took our complete order. Classy. We received our drinks in a reasonable amount of time as well as our large order of edamame. The first thing we noticed was that it was heavily salted; we then noticed that the deeper we got into the dish, the colder the beans were. Obviously not a very good sign. Next, the bus boy helpfully refilled my iced tea with water even after I tried to tell him that I was drinking tea and not water. He graciously and apologetically brought me a refill of iced tea. When our sushi order came out the waiter set it on the table and marched off. He came back to refill another iced tea and I told him that we were missing part of our order. He said that he would go check. He came back a few minutes later with our order sheet and said that all that we were missing were two sea scallops -- I had to correct him and show him that he was reading the wrong line and that we had ordered two orders of salmon roe. He went off to get the order corrected and we dug into the sushi we were presented. The spicy tuna roll was an ordinary tuna roll that featured a dollop of rather ordinary siracha mayo on top. The tuna itself was not seasoned nor was it fresh. We didn't finish it. The other rolls we ordered, with the exception of a Dragon Roll, failed to live up to expectations. They were bland rolls featuring seafood of questionable quality and freshness. When the salmon roe was delivered to our table, my daughter caught a whiff of it and asked me to taste it. I picked up a single salmon egg and smelled it -- I was left with a slime trail on my finger that reeked of rotting fish. I called the waiter over and told him that the salmon roe was not fresh, that they shouldn't be serving it, and that if they weren't careful, they were going to make someone very sick. This is the second, and last, bad meal I have had at Sado. The entrees were never much to write home about but the sushi was competent. Now the standards have slipped so far that you are probably better off eating the fabled "gas-station sushi." I will not be back. It is a waste of time and money.

Thai dishes & sushi rolls are awesome. Sit at the bar though, the service isn't always that good. The green thai curry is out of this world and the specialty sushi rolls are amazing! The thai iced tea is delicious! Great for big parties too!

    (5)
  • Stacy R.

This place was horrible. The Thai food was laughable. The sushi is 1/2 off, however, they only give you 1/2 a portion. So, if you are paying $12 for 1/2 a roll and get another 1/2 roll free.......you are just getting 1 roll. It's like they are trying to trick everyone. Which I suppose is working since so many people go here. I have no idea why.

Sado is my jam! This is my spot on the island; 9/10 if my family is going out to eat, it's at Sados. They have a great selection of sashimi, maki and nigiri from the sushi bar with some really brilliant and creative twists. All of their rolls are buy-one-get-one, all of the time, so you can really save quite a bit on a huge meal if you play it smart. My favorite is the Sado roll, which features salmon, avocado, green onion and mango. The kitchen is full service and has a wide variety of delicious appetizers, salads, and entrees covering everyone's tastes, from the kobe beef burger to spicy curries and on to your basic meat and rice dishes. I highly recommend the Asian Caesar salad--it's definitely one of my favorites. When the weather is warm, there's some great seating on the wrap-around porch that allows you to look over the marina and catch the sunset. Sado is open for lunch, but the menu is a bit more limited for options from the kitchen, however, they offer awesome specials like bento boxes. They also have a full bar downstairs with two large televisions. The service can be kind of cruddy, but I'm always okay to overlook that because I'm sure as snot driving across the bay bridge for my sushi fix.

This place is off the chain!! Great sushi and great atmosphere. Service is a little slow. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is a real gem on the inside.

Did not order a single thing that was not delicious; meat cooked perfectly, sushi extremely fresh. Great location just off the water and the interior design is unlike any I've seen in a restaurant. Fantastic.

Literally a stones through away from my wonderful girlfriends house....it's a favorite of mine. Happy Hour Buy one Get One Free Sushi. HELLO? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! It's awesome. There are so many "unique" and delicious sushi rolls, I'll never get tired of the place. We have not had any entrees there, but hear that they are as good as the sushi. Maybe next time I'll order from the big menu. It's the best sushi spot on the shore, and beats driving over (and back) the Bay Bridge to go to Annapolis and sit in crowded corners of overpriced places. Cafe Sado is even worth crossing the bridge from the western shore to visit. Tucked away in a little marina, it is definately a "gem" of the shore.

5 star rating, not because I live one block from there but the food is phenomenal! Buy one get one free for sushi, you can't beat it. Modern vibe and great Thai dishes also.

  • Daniel B.

First time I came I here I just ordered sushi. Great deal for the buy 1 get 1 free. It's good sushi but its not the best. Last time I went for the Thai food. I can't remember the name of what I got last time but it was flank steak with peanut sauce. DELICIOUS. Some of the best Thai/Indian food I've had besides the homecooked authentic stuff. YUmmmm.

Sado has pretty good sushi. I'm giving it 3 stars, because it's worth a second glance, but it's not always consistent The fish is usually fresh and the rolls are always good, but it's not the best sushi around. The problem is that the fish is just average quality. Not a ton of flavor of any sort and just okay texture. At lunch all of their rolls are buy 1, get the second one free, which is unbeatable. 25$ with tip for two people at lunch is better than the pre-made sushi at Whole Foods. The rice is not great but its fairly fresh, and much better than the rice at Tsunami in Annapolis. Their Volcano Roll is the best I have ever tried. It's warm but not dry inside, nice and crispy and not greasy outside. Plus they don't drown it in sauce and fill it with too many things. Not a big fan of the tomato salsa on the spicy scallop roll. It's actually good salsa, just a strange combo and it overwhelms the scallops. I really enjoyed their Lemongrass Soup, but I think for the price it could use more ingredients. I go for lunch and sushi so I can't speak to service when they are busy, but I've had no trouble. I also like the decor, it's modern yet airy. The patio is probably great when the weather is cool enough. If you are on the shore, check it out.

  • Beth J.

Disgusting. No other way to describe the joint. Gross. Do not bother going there unless you enyoy the flavor of 2 day old carry out food. The service was the worst and management did not seem to care after we complained several times. Our server forgot to place our sushi order, bring us water and check on us. After the table next to us left, the Windex the bus girl was using drifted and settled on our dining space.

A month after my last review I went back to Sado only to be served a big plate of green curry chicken complete with big hunks of still raw, still cold, still pink chicken. I told my waiter and he said he wouldn't take it from our bill and he could recoil it but that the kitchen was closed so I couldn't order anything else. Minutes later my sister but into her pad Thai and there was more raw chicken in that. Same story. Can't take it off of the bill but we can put it back in the pan and cook it longer. This will be my last visit to Sado. I just hope I don't her salmonella.

I love their Chicken Satay. Sushi is B+ but I'm a tough critic when it comes to Sushi... The last time I was there, the service was horrible. But one before that, it was great, so I guess it's hit or miss. But for a great food, I highly recommend it! It is definitely a hidden gem on the island!

Excellent sushi with hints of Thai fusion. The presentation wins no awards, but the sushi and sashimi were tasty and fantastic value - the 2-for-1 deal was unexpected and one of the best value-adds I have come across in a sushi restaurant. We are delighted to find such a good restaurant on Kent Island.

Beyond fast food, the Eastern Shore doesn't have a plethora of options for ANY type of cuisine, so being able to get sushi at all is a positive in itself. Having said that, Sado ain't great. The pop-modern decor has a cool, upscale feel, and the fish and rolls are cut fresh to order at the bar right there in the dining room, with decent quality, if not spectacular. But where they truly and consistently fall short is with their brutally bad service. First, there's the waiter who's always wearing a Van Halen t-shirt like he's working in an Ocean City sub shop. Then there was the time when the server and host got into an argument as we walked in and totally ignored us, each storming off in different directions. Or the time we were seated and served four waters in filthy glasses. This past Saturday, my wife and I had a date night, and decided to give Sado another try, only to find more of the same nonsense. They brought the wrong wine, neglecting to present it, so we didn't realize it wasn't right until it was open and poured.Oh well; we lived with it. It was maybe 8pm, and the place only had a few tables. While we were in the middle of a quiet, intimate evening, members of the kitchen staff came out into the dining room, starting a LOUD, boisterous conversation with members of the wait staff, laughing loudly, and shoving and high-fiving each other! We were sitting maybe 20-25 feet away from the frat party, feeling like we shoulda been playing beer pong with Coors Light drafts in our hands instead of chopsticks. Totally blew the mood right outta the water. And while the sign on the door said they were open until 11pm on Fri and Sat nights, they were putting chairs on the tables all around us before 9pm, and delivering our check before we'd even finished dinner, with no offer of dessert or coffee. I'd wager that the owner is a chef, because Sado has no friggin clue about how to manage the front of the house, and no sense whatsoever of etiquette or proper dining service. Bottom line: there are MUCH better choices on Kent Island for a quiet date night dinner, ie Rustico, or Bridges. And if it's sushi you're craving, Ichiban is just as good, and less expensive. Or better yet, cross the bridge and hit Joss in downtown Annapolis for the real deal. As for Cafe Sado, we're done with them, for good this time. You couldn't drag us back in there.

Surpisingly good. Yelp lead us here as we were headed back from the ocean. Excellent Thai menu. Plenty of sushi offerings. Nice decor and view. Service was a bit confused and slow at times. We indulged in the Thai menu which was quite good. The sushi looked popular and tasty, but I'll have to try that next time. Green tea creme brûlée was the perfect finish to a nice meal. This restaraunt was a pleasant surprise and I look forward to visitting again. Casual dining with above average decor, view, and food.

Go here! Sit at the bar and talk to some of the workers. They're great people, and they'll give it to you straight what's good at the restaurant. They eat the food at the restaurant and give excellent suggestions about what to try; I always love knowing what the staff like at a restaurant. I highly recommend the sushi. I just tried some of the standard rolls: spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, spicy scallop, and avacado, but they were fresh, quickly made, and tasty. Did I mention that the owner has been running a buy-one, get-one sushi roll deal for a long time now? Apparently instead of a happy hour, that's how the owner gets people in the door. Excellent idea. I know I'll be back many times in the future.

We were at the Chesapeake Bay WIne Festival on Sunday, and my husband overheard someone mention sushi, and not being from the area, asked where they were going, and they said Cafe Sado! Buy one Get one sushi is a wonderful deal, and definitely drew us in. Sushi was so good, my favorite was the Harmony role. We will definitely be back when we're on the Eastern Shore!

Cafe Sado is hands down the best sushi restaurant around. The service is very personable and friendly. The atmosphere and decor are great, including the great view from the marina. Even if you don't like sushi, Cafe Sado has other great dishes uniquely made by the veteran Chef Tony Wong. Highly recommend going, you'll definitely get your money's worth!

A disappointing trip considering the reviews here... Pros: Seated quickly after arriving, even on a busy Saturday night. Shrimp tempura appetizer was delicious. Panang curry was spectacular - great creamy sauce, fantastic spice level, just great all around. Cons: Everything else. Really. - The restaurant is loud. Very, very loud. Conversations carry easily, and the music from the bar downstairs travels as well. - Seated at our (still sopping wet) table for 15 minutes before the waiter stopped by to ask if we wanted to order. We would have been, if we had ever been handed menus... - After handing us our menus, the waiter waited about 45 seconds before asking if we were ready to order. - Appetizer came out of the kitchen and waited on a counter no more than 3 feet from our table for about 5 minutes before being served. - Pad Thai was among the worst I've had. Bland bland bland. - Waiter didn't stop by to ask how dinner was. I ended up flagging down the bus boy for some lime wedges in an attempt to salvage the Pad Thai. - Drink refills seemed like a chore, even for just water. Had to ask multiple times for additional water. - Asked for the bill, and waited another 10 minutes to get that I won't be going back. If you're coming from the shore, it's worth the extra 15 minute drive to Annapolis for some decent Thai food.

Great food and good service. 2 for the price of 1 nigiri and maki will bring us back again and again!

Wonderful sushi! I often drive across the Bay Bridge to enjoy their fine sushi. Lovely decor, very fair pricing.

I am kind of a regular at Cafe Sado. They have excellent sushi, especially their special rolls. The decor is very pleasant, and the dining area is open and comfortable. The service is not always the quickest, but the staff is generally friendly. The ongoing sushi special is a great bargain also. I have attended a few private parties here also, and they did an excellent job of providing food and drink. I would say it is an excellent venue for functions like this, or even just lunch or dinner.

While we used to be regulars at Cafe Sado, usually going 2 or 3 times a week, we now go maybe every other week. Perhaps because it is a slow time for restaurant business right now, but the grade of their fish has certainly gone down. We recently went and were sick from the fish all night long (simple tuna roll). Then we decided to give our used to be favorite restaurant another shot and when we smelled the sushi that was brought to us it REEKED! Word to the wise: fish is not supposed to smell like fish. Unfortunately, when we return to sado we will only be getting pad thai. Which is delicious there. Oh and ask for Donny or David when you go! They're the best waiters.
