I went to the tackle shop yesterday and met Captain George who was extremely helpful and gave our group some great fishing tips. His hospitality and kindness reminded me why it's good to support small businesses like his because stores like this are hard to find. When we left his store, we all said that we will be sure to stop by Tyler's whenever we go the Chesapeake Beach for fishing.

Friendly staff, awesome food & a great atmosphere to have fun! Can't wait to return in the Summer!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Having come from Annapolis, Calvert County bars are a whole different world. Big's does dive bar, and does it well! The wings are some of the best I have ever had, the chef makes his own brisket from cows he buys and has butchered then shipped to him - UM HELLO! It's amazing! They also have a hot dog menu and tater tots. Yup - fat kid heaven. The staff remembers you, is super friendly, and will turn on any TV station you want. There's a tattooed DJ playing country music, and women drink grey goose out of clear plastic Dixie cups. What's not to love?!

Excellent stop after a day on the beach!! The wife and I dined here Saturday night after the wine tasting on the beach. I had broiled seafood platter and she had the fried seafood platter and we shared steamed crab legs. Lots of food and everything was on point! Our server Jade was the best!! Nice ambience of music just off the deck area. Great job Trader's, keep it up!!
The fried, butterflied shrimp are great. Even the cocktail sauce is amazing. Service is good. The menu is varied. Now, I just have to stop ordering the shrimp and branch out!
Brought my niece and nephews here during vacation and we loved it! The selection was good and the food was great. Our waitress Lauren was friendly, helpful and very attentive. There was a tiny problem with our booth which didn't bother us and we didn't complain about, but the manager came over and comped all our desserts anyway. We went back the next day for breakfast and were not disappointed at all. Highly recommended!

Been going here for years. Always good food. Love their orange chicken. Always very pleasant when I am picking up food for carry out.
Great cozy little spot we had some egg rolls and some yummy Green tea and sat and relaxed for awhile We were very happy with the service here and we were treated like royalty we will defiantly be back
I liked it. I'm Chinese-american AND I live in NYC, where there's a decent Chinese takeout place virtually on every corner. Little Panda does a decent job with standard Chinese dishes, and the fried dumplings I got were divine. They're a little inconsistent, I suppose depending on who the chef is that day, but that's a minor quibble. I like the fact that they sell a limited stock of Chinese groceries (although I never was able to find five spice powder ANYWHERE in Calvert or St Mary's Counties). I need to respond to Aaryn's review - she apparently has a problem with Little Panda serving canned soda rather than fountain soda. Honestly? That's a stupid reason not to like a place. Many small restaurants serve canned soda, so saying "geez, get a machine" just sound ignorant. So, Aaryn, GEEZ, JUST GO TO PLACES THAT HAVE FOUNTAIN SODAS AND SHUT UP.

Let me start off by saying that I didn't really know what I was getting into when I bought the Groupon deal for a trip aboard the "Miss Chesapeake Beach," but since I had never been fishing before and my boyfriend said he'd had lots of fun on similar outings, I decided to take a shot. I can't really say it was a bad trip, but there were several things I would've liked to know in advance, mainly that there are NO sinks aboard! So your fishy, slimy, possibly bloody hands will remain that way throughout the trip. I suggest bringing wrapped food that can be eaten without touching it, as well as towels that you don't mind getting dirty (for the worst of the blood and guts) and Clorox-type wipes or Purell (especially for after using the head) to feel at least somewhat clean. If you plan to cut up worms or artificial bait, bring your own knife, as they don't provide them aboard. Bring your lunch AND bring a cooler (or at least a bucket) for any fish you might wish to take home. Their website says you can leave your cooler in the car until the end of the trip, but there is no way to keep your fish fresh or alive if you do so. Make sure you have cash for tips as well as for the pool to see who catches the largest fish. This pool is not mandatory, but it might be nice to have $5 to throw in the bucket for a chance to win the pot (split with the crew). I might not be the best person to judge, because I have nothing to compare it to, but being a fishing novice, I would like to know what to expect. All in all, it was a nice day and we had a good time, but I wish they had told me how to plan better and make it an even more enjoyable experience.

This was a great place for a group outing. The crabs and shrimp were fresh. We absolutely loved the hushpuppies! And the wings and crab dip were also yummy. Outside of the sliders and mussels, we ate everything and really enjoyed it! If you are looking for an upscale, "nice" restaurant, this isn't the place. But if you are looking for good reasonably priced seafood, this is the place.
Probably should have listened the reviews on here. Slow service and crabs were very light and some had to be sent back for being spoiled. Also, many flies in the restaurant which made the experience pretty miserable. Sticking to Schulz's!
Just the kind of casual, no-frills waterfront atmosphere you want when you plan to dig in to a dozen crabs. It's not on the bay, but on an inlet. Crabs were meaty and reasonably priced. We sat outside on the dock which was perfect for entertaining our kids while we cracked crabs.

The breakfast buffet is great. The menu is overpriced for the quality of food you receive The view is nice. The best part of this place is a bartender named Nancy. She usually works nights. She does it all and makes you feel at home. I recommend sitting on the bar side seating when Nancy is working.
Lots of unmet potential! Bartender makes a great drink. Chefs are not up to par...a little disappointing regarding entrees..over cooked, deep fried, under seasoned fish and shrimp. Location is worth the drive...I wanted food to match location...needed to lower my expectations!
We called ahead for a 6:15 Friday (6/12)/15) night table and were seated immediately. I've spent years in the food biz, so that was a pleasant surprise. The dining room view is great, a real plus. The drinks and food were a different deal. My rum and tonic with lime was not large. The tonic was flat and the glass had been filled with ice, leaving little room for booze. The lime had been put in first, under the ice, so I had to scuba dive to squeeze out its juice. My cream of crab soup was salty and was becoming oily, since it was beginning to separate. There was a marble-sized lump of roux in it along with a large portion of lump crabmeat, which unfortunately was ice cold, apparently having been tossed in the soup at the last minute. Main courses were problematic. The Rockfish special was well prepared, but was only a 4 ounce, inch wide portion. Norfolk Stew was well prepared, but also small for the price. Fish and Chips were 3 nuggets of haddock thickly battered, served with a mound of fries. Cole slaw had an odd taste, pickles? My fried oysters also came with lots of fries and had more than enough batter. The sin, in an area known for shellfish, was that they were dry and likely had been frozen. If this wasn't a family meal, they would have gone directly back to the kitchen. The highlight was Crab imperial. Rich, creamy with a good amount of crab. Vegetables and potatoes with the entrees were properly prepared.

Terrible experience. When I asked what was on tap, I was given a list of soft drinks. Every question regarding spirits resulted in the waiter going to ask the bar tender. In the end I just ordered water as I knew it was going to be a pain. We ordered and since it was kids night the balloon pirate did a great job and my kids really enjoyed the personal attention. The salad came out out first about 45 min after we ordered. Then as I was getting ready to leave b/c I was hungry the other meals came out about an hour after we ordered, which was strange as the place was dead apart from a few drunks playing slots. One of my dishes arrived without one of the ordered sides and they only decided to bring my daughters milk at the end of the meal after we asked for it. My wife had a gin and tonic and must have just been tonic water. I talked to the manager who was very nice and discounted the check but should have done a lot more. We will NOT be back. The owners must also own rod and reel as they have the same kind of service. All of this is attached to a resort. I feel sorry for any hungry guests. I would give negative stars if I could.
Not a fan. I can get better food from Safeway.
The good: fried chicken was crispy, moist, and fresh, albeit a little too salty, and the crab cake was good. The bad: the sides were pretty awful. String beans from a can, mac & cheese made with Velveeta, cole slaw was way too sweet. The salad was good, and made with fresh ingredients, but, oddly, not tossed -every ingredient was piled into the dish separately. Service was OK. The outdoor deck is also a passageway among several businesses and not pleasant to eat dinner on.

Has a medium fry it was not hot but not cold. Me and my son were satisfied enough to eat them all. Would come back but ask for hot fresh food instead of what was sitting around The kids were nice , teenagers working not over friendly but not Nasty or rude
Agree with most of the unhappy reviews. Mc Donalds would do their reputation some good and close this restaurant.
If you miss the city life, where bros & sistaz treat you like shit and restaraunts are covered in crumbs and fly turds, you'll LOVE this McDizzles. Want some food? You gonna have to stand there for a minute while your McArtisan picks his/her ass n talks to the other employee about how much he/she don't want to be there. I say he/she because this person has a well manicured beard as well as mamaries. It will be awkward. Sweet n Sour sauce for your nuggets? Get it your fucking self out the pump! Ah yes, just like back home in DC. One star for nostalgia.
