Coworkers and I order sandwiches from here and it was quiet a surprise how fresh and nice the sandwiches were. I ordered the farmer and the ocean.

I've ordered sandwiches many times for lunch with my coworkers. I love that they deliver, as long as the order is over $25 since none of us can leave. We never have a problem getting to that amount because as soon as someone says we're ordering from Taneytown everyone wants in! The sandwiches are always fresh and huge, they're really stuffed full. I've never been disappointed!

What to say about Taneytown...its pretty amazing. The ingredients are always fresh and on point. The sandwiches are delicious, huge, and fresh. Additionally I love the soups, this is a must try spot!

Yummy, fresh, huge sandwiches. Subs are good too. Nice selection of drinks and chips. My mom got the pastrami and corned beef on rye and it was exploding with meat. My 6 yr old and I shared the AL Capone sub. The meat was sliced thin and piled high. We all enjoyed what we had and will be going back for sure.

What the bible failed to mention is that before God created light, skies, earth, and all the other good things that led to our existence, he created Taneytown. The jawbreaker will cure the nastiest of hangovers after a night of hard boozing. If I was a Turkey, I would want my dead body to be sliced by to those hard workers in the kitchen of Taneytown and then caressed and laid on a piece a toasted rye blanketed by a piece of melted provolone. Don't sleep on the chicken tenders, for they are a glorious breaded sensation with fresh cut fries served as a combo meal.

There used to be two locations one on Frederick and one in the alley off of Mellor. I think the alley location recently closed. You can easily drive by it if you aren't looking and at times parking is a beast! Any who I love T-town! I don't know who can eat an entire sandwich because they are huge! They are fresh and hella filling. I always have a half left for later. The menu is huge and at times can be quite overwhelming. Order by number and have fun!

It was good- everyone enjoyed their food. It seemed to be a bit over priced for the amount of food you get. Typical deli offerings. The menu is HUGE though, which was nice. I got a turkey sandwich on rye- it was extra for lettuce and tomato, which I thought was ridiculous.

Come here for breakfast...the place is kind of run down and food served in styrofoam. Nothing I couldn't make at home. Not bad, but I wouldn't bother to come back.

This place is one of my favorite sandwich places I've tried in Maryland. The staff is friendly and quick about preparing delicious sandwiches. My favorite is the aunt turkey Gwen with a few changes and they always get my changes correct and the sandwich comes out hot and fresh.

Went here with friends after painting pottery for a quick bite to eat. The menu is huge! Try to check out the menu and know what you want before you get in line. They have a lot of different options for sandwiches, but I always go for the corned beef Reuben sandwich. The chicken salad sandwich is also very good. They tend to get pretty crowded during lunch time, so you may have to deal with a wait and/or crowding in the ordering area but it is definitely worth it!

When people say get the "Jawbreaker", they actually mean it. When people say how fantastic this "Jawbreaker" is, they really mean it. Why? Because I had it and it was simply splendid. I walked in to find that this place is small unless you're dining in. But if you've ordered and is waiting in line then it would seem packed. They have a big menu and it can get hectic if you don't know what to get and there are hungry people waiting in line behind you. So when I went up to order, I just quickly asked the guy if he had any recommendations. He said 2 things then mentioned Jawbreaker so I ordered that and then he mentioned Reuben so I got that too. Oh and come to find out, this place is owned by Koreans! Just saying. I know there are numerous Korean owned deli's that don't have a lot of reviews on them but this place does and there's a reason why they have so many good reviews. I went to my brother's work and we both tried out these sammiches. I had to open the Jawbreaker first. The sandwich itself didn't look as big as I thought it'd be, however, for the price, it was definitely great. I took a gigantic bite and whoa! Flavor was packing! Take a bite and chew slowly, try to focus on your taste buds and what it's tasting. You can definitely taste each and every meat with the sweet but not overpowering sauce that comes with it. Even though there are 4 slices of bread in the sandwich, the ratio between that and the meats was still near perfect. I then had the Reuben and it's definitely packing some meat and delicious cole slaw. It wasn't crunchy but it still added a great balance to the salty meats and starchy bread. Remarkable.

This is my all-time favorite place to grab food! I usually order a Turkey sandwich with sprouts and everything else that goes on a sandwich, it is always over-stuffed and delicious. I've tried other things on their menu and they never disappoint! Their breakfast is delicious as well. I wish they would stay open later! The staff is also very friendly and welcoming every single time we have ordered here.

I remember the Taneytown in the back of a building on Mellor Ave., which was delicious, but kind of dingy. This place has the same quality of food with a really cute, clean little eat-in area! We came in here at 10am on a Friday and we were able to order from the lunch menu, no problem. The menu is huge and there is also a great selection of chips and drinks, with some desserts and cold salads in the deli case. I had the California Cooler and my Partner-in-Crime had a ham sub. Both sandwhiches came out super fast, were overstuffed, the quality of ingredients was great, and the prices were low. My boyfriend's only complaint (first world problem?) is that there is no proscuitto or cappicola on the menu, but that doesn't make a difference in my opinion. This is a great little neighborhood deli that has been here a long time and is consistently delicious.

I came here because Duesenbergs was closed for vacation. My friend suggested that we swing around the corner and get sandwiches here. I quickly jumped on Yelp and saw the high ratings and felt confident about ordering lunch at Taneytown, especially after also being endorsed by my huge beefcake 300lbs friend. Upon arrival, I was overwhelmed by all the choices on the menu...with their cute names. I noticed that the proprietors were probably not the original owners or founders of the sandwich shoppe by my estimation. I ordered two sandwiches, one was a vegetarian one and the other was a reuben variant. While the taste, texture and flavor of the sandwiches were above average and pricing was reasonable, I left feeling disappointed that I wasn't more full from two sandwiches--so disappointed that I didn't even want to remember the fun names of the sandwiches I ordered. Mediocre bang for the buck. The decor was superb and fun--but the vibe wasn't there for me. Perhaps, I didn't order the best item on the menu but given Duesenbergs around the corner, I would go there first before coming back here.

I am a frugalista when it comes to my money. I know a sandwich can be made at home for probably less money but if I am gonna spend on money, this place is worth it. It's near my job and not home thank goodness because it's addictive. I get the chicken salad and it is consistently fresh and tasty. I have also had their black bottoms but ate them too quickly to take a pic. They have a wide assortment of chips too. I recommend this place and will definitely will be returning. They also have gluten free bread that a co-worker told me was the best she has tasted.

Two words, Baltimore Cheesesteak! Sooooo good. The steak was just perfectly cooked, melted cheese with lettuce, tomato and mayo. The service was friendly and fast. I also ordered a BLT (yes I ate 2 sandwiches ) The BLT had tons of bacon which was perfectly cooked and I had it on toasted wheat bread. Overall this is a great little sandwich shoppe with reasonable prices for what you get. I went twice in one week and I'll definitely be back often.
