Good food , very nice atmosphere, really enjoyed our meal
This place was pretty damn good, but the food type just isn't my style. The overall group opinion was "excellent". They just need to get a slightly better location (it's tucked into a strip mall). Oh, and they make a mojito like drink.... Get it!
The food was so fantastic I can't wait to go back. The mojito's were delicious and not something I would ordinarily get, but can't wait to have them again. Dinner was so delicious we packed up half to save room for dessert and I am glad we did. The tres leches was the best I have ever had. The service was OK, but the food was some of the best I've had. I highly recommend it.

Takeout Chinese food is usually pretty basic. You have your deep fried , your salty, your General Tsu's...but what makes Goodie's attractive is the freshness. You dont usually get that with Chinese. Trust me. I know how old the refried "fried" rice really is. I've lived right near this place for years and never went in but today I'm glad I did. The tofu is good, crisp and nor that soggy shit most places serve. They ALWAYS give you two egg rolls. And the cutest part ? Its a family establishment! The children help out in the shop and keep you company as you wait. Although its literally a block away from my usual China spot, I'm gonna be back to Goodie's!
Never been disappointed with their food! They have always been very pleasant and nice, and the food tastes great!! Their prices are also great. I can get triple the food for a lot less then a competitor down the street.
The best option south of Columbia. I'm never disappointed. I always order the steamed dumplings, veggie fried rice, and sesame chicken. It's not greasy, nor leaving to question the meat. They are friendly, quick, and damn good. They have a website, despite its not listed and you can order online.

Maiwand Kabob

Reviews:
This place is awesome. I've lived in Burtonsville for a few years now, and this place makes me happy to keep living here (not too many other reasons!). Amazing lamb kabobs. Wow. Served with quarters of grilled tomato and onion.... Chicken tikka is super flavorful, although it has bones (if you're not into that). The Kafta kabob is wonderful as well. Don't miss it. One of the weekly specials is a curry chicken, which is cheap, and a must-have. One person here wrote about the rice... bland? BLAND??? Absolutely not. I had kabob at multiple "Moby Dick" locations, and boy was that rice bland! Oh my god, it was terrible. The rice at Meiwand is some kind of jasmine long grain or something, seasoned with cinnamon and some other stuff, and has a brown color. It is delicious. Delicious. The large, round, toasty/chewy tandoori bread is off the hook, and comes with each order! And of course, the pumpkin. Order the pumpkin. Order it with yogurt sauce, and you'll be in flavor country. Order it with the ground beef on top and it'll be some OGP (Original Gangsta Pumpkin). Pair an order of Lamb Kebob, rice, and pumpkin, with a delcious European Pilsner and you'll have yourself an amazing meal.
The wait is a little long - but it's nice inside and the guys that work there are pretty nice and friendly. They are kid-friendly. It's a good spot to get a nice quiet meal with the family. There was more than enough food for each dish. For a kabob place, it's a little nice for a kabob place - I'm not used to that. But I would put this restaurant in our weekly friday dinners rotation.
Friend took me here once and it was delicious. I will go again when I'm near by

Kim’s Hunan Gourmet

Reviews:
If there were a shrine to childhood obesity in America, Kim's Hunan would be in the running. They have several large signs that say, "_____ Elementary School Loves Kim's Hunan" and they are signed by the kids @ that school. Attention makers of blood glucose meters! Come to Kim's and take down the names of these kids - they'll likely be diabetics when they grow up. That being said, the food @ Kim's is good. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, they don't hide the traditional Chinese menu unless you provide the secret codeword. I recommend: Deep Fried Spicy Squid ($8.95) - a little chewy but $4 less than you'd find anywhere else Crispy Shredded Beef w/ Szechuan sauce ($8.95) - crispy bits of beef in a sweet sauce: fattening & delicious Their soups are a little heavy on the starch, however. They are also trying to branch out into sushi - now that's a scary proposition: raw fish from a budget Chinese food restaurant. The owners are generally here all the time - what'd you expect from a Chinese restaurant? And they are very friendly and every time I go they seem to be talking to one of their regulars. Decent, cheap Chinese food in Burtonsville, located next to the Cheeburger Cheeburger.
LOVE their Wonton Soup and Sushi. Some of the best I have ever had. Also have not eaten a single item off their menu that was not delicious. Simply great eating!
My family used to come here all the time... The food is pretty good for the price and the service is decent. I only give one star because I have not once, but twice, found a staple in my food. Never going back here!

Service was not great; not very attentive staff. Took 10min to get water when we sat down, another 15min to get chips n salsa to munch on while waiting for our food, and another 25min to get our food (which shouldn't take that long since it's a cheese quesadilla and grilled chicken salad). And waiting for the bill took another 25min after our dishes had been cleared and we're just sitting there. Luckily, I had good company.
Great food and price with generous portions. Ordered the Mixed Fajitas they came with plenty of juicy meat. Will be back again! Thanks.
1. Plato El Paso...wow...Lobster mix Chicken and Steak... Fahita all the traditional trimmings. 2. Camarones Brochette...hello Shrimp and Bacon...setup is delicious... 3. Jalapeño Stuffed with Chicken...yummy...let me tell you they ran out. I got the last two. 4. Drinks....hello Please go to the bar area. It's awsome.

Reviews:
hey everybody, i wrote a poor review about the heat in this place. and, new owner. new food. great place. come back. lovin' it.
For the prices they charge the food is seriously lacking. I had the chicken kebab and it was very bland, and the rice it came with was half over cooked and half crunchy. My husband had a chicken sandwich and he said it was so over seasoned it was almost inedible, and he will eat anything so that's saying a lot. The fries were clearly from a bag. We live right down the street and tried the place a few years ago and hoped it would be better after the renovation but it was still awful and overpriced for what tasted like cafeteria food.
I purchased a groupon for this place being advertised as "southern". Let me start off by saying the salad is the only edible dish at this restaurant. The free cornbread is hard, gritty and the worst cornbread I've ever tasted. Next the menu is all over the place, Indian food, bbq food, specialties all over, sandwiches and the most random set of appetizers. After much time trying to figure out the menu.....my girlfriend chose the lamb vindaloo and I went with jambalaya. why did we do that?! The waitress come back and says the lamb has run out for the evening(how is that possible) and she needs to choose something else. As suggested by the waitress she could try something else or just get chicken. She decided chicken and what do you know, she can't order that either because the only Indian cook to cook this food has also left for the evening, who also happens to be the owner. Are you kidding? You are the only Indian person who can cook the Indian food, who did not teach anyone else to cook this food that's still on the menu when you aren't present. C'mon! "Jambalaya" arrives at the table. I don't know what they thought jambalaya was but clearly this restaurant needs to be on restaurant impossible. How can jambalaya not have andouille sausage???! At this point I'm so irritated about all the bad food that I'm ready to walk out and ask groupon for a refund. It's their fault that I thought I was coming into a great southern restaurant. I am very concerned by people saying that this restaurant is good. Eventually I gave up and say that while she ate her salmon...which she claims wasn't that bad. The waitress I had was very sweet and kind, if it weren't for her id give this place no stars.

Pepino’s Trattoria Italiano

Reviews:
I'm giving Pepino's 3 stars because although it didn't blow me away, the food was decent. Service was friendly. The prices on the menu are cheaper than most of its competitors. We had no problem getting a table on a Saturday night during dinner service hours, so that was a plus for me. However that usually means the restaurant isn't doing too well. It was weird that this place had a huge sign saying "we're still open", because most of the other businesses in this strip mall have been abandoned. The pizza was ok, but in my opinion it was too thin and nothing spectacular. I enjoied Joe's salad and the warm bread with the self serve cheese and olive oil on the table. I usually don't care about the decor of a restaurant as long as the food is good. But this restaurant looks older, and like it hasn't changed in years. I'll probably return in the future to try out the pasta.
We came here on a restaurant.com deal and I can understand why they're going under. They are in a dead strip mall near the pike. When we walked in it resembled more of a retirement home than a restaurant, but hey, we had a deal. Service: Friendly and helpful. Food: The bread wasn't horrible but nothing special. The fried calamari was pretty good. It was crisp and not soggy which always gets a gold star in my book. My eggplant parm wasn't bad but I could have made the same thing at home. My boyfriend felt the same about his chicken parm. We also ordered a pizza to go so we could use our deal and it looks so-so and very light on the cheese. Verdict: Meh. If you have a deal, maybe. Otherwise it's pretty forgettable.
Don't let the abandoned shopping center fool you - this place is open and is awesome. Great bread to start, a homemade cheese blend for your food as well. Girlfriend had the veal, she loved it. I nibbled off of it too. Loved it. I had the manicotti - it too was great. This is a hidden gem. Seek it out and eat!

I ordered from Chicken Basket more then once and loved the food. However, my last order not to exciting. Ordered the 4-5 wings with fires, the wings were so small and over cooked .. yuck. Didn't leave me satisfied this time.

We always come to this place everyone we head to nyc. The service is great here and the food is really good. I always get the lasagna pizza Come on Tuesdays buy one pasta and get another for 4 dollars The lighting is good The food and service is great like I said come check this place out.
A shame!! I always go to the one in Hanover near arundel mills. I've been telling friends from NYC that this is legit. I'm a New Yorker and I know. The other location has thin, soft crust with cheese falling off. It's perfect Everytime. I came for pizza Monday and just wasted $8 the pizza was absolutely horrible. It was not warm, the pizza was dry with very little sauce, the cheese was minimal and burnt, the crust was hard as a rock. It was almost if they have me a pizza that had been sitting there after telling me it would take 15 mins. I was so disappointed. That was worse than little Caesars. I went straight to a friends house with my kids, and it was raining so I didn't bother to call and complain or go get a replacement. I will stick with the location I know. Smh.

Starbucks

Love the drive thru on cold and rainy days!
This Starbucks gets it right sometimes. The problem is it's a drive through and I've noticed mistakes with my drinks several times after I've already driven away. For this reason they need to try extra hard to get it right! It's not that hard! I used to work at Starbucks I know! Twice they flat out did not put the flavor syrup for the drinks I ordered, once my hot drink was cold, and several times they did not add the extra shot I ordered. For so many mistakes to come out of one Starbucks it's clear the management hasn't trained their staff effectively and they do not do drink quality tests with their baristas. I know a lot of people think "oh it's just coffee it's not a big deal" well I think " it's just coffee so it's not that hard to get right"
This location is a 50/50 chance in service. Most of the employees are very friendly and gives you the overall welcome when you come in the store or come in their convenient drive-thru. But I am not writing this review to state the good facts. I am a coffee lover and I expect to feel welcomed when I come in. I make a coffee run almost everyday and it is practically one of the first things I do everyday. I had a terrible experience with one of the employees. I had asked her to recommend me a drink and what she thought about the new espresso drinks. This girl rolls her eyes and says," what do you want, it's not that hard to choose." You all can see, I am not a fan of this place but I gave it 2 stars because everything and everyone else is great.
