I am so mad... Didn't even wait to get out of the restaurant... Such terrible service.. Went there on a Monday night... Was the only table on the dining side.. From the minute we were given our table... We were made to feel that we were a bother... Waiter said chips will be out shortly... Chips Never came... Nor did the waiter... Ordered soup came out cold... Kept looking for the waiter... No one checked on us. Waiters who saw us just looked away. Loud noises from the kitchen... Got the food... Had to ask for water which came after my meal was half over and so did my beer.... And the waiter didn't even come back to check on us until for the bill... Never even asked if we needed anything else.. Needless to say... Never coming back!! Great management.... I think the name of my server was derrell

I'm thinking I like this location over Crystal City, and definitely over Greenbelt. Perhaps it's because it's new so time will tell. As a DC resident, I feel like this location is in the middle of nowhere, almost in another state it seems so far lol. Actually it isn't, it's conveniently located in a plaza that is rapidly developing in the Brandywine area. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly. It was packed for happy hour. The food was good. Is it authentic Mexican? Who knows. I've been to Mexico, to get drunk not to eat. So I can't compare it to anything. If it's not, I bet it isn't any more Americanized than most other tex mex places. The point is, it was tasty, and the drinks were good. I would return.

Our waitress, Tiffani, was beyond amazing. Very sweet and anticipated anything we might need. The chimichanga was great, however the refried beans were fairly bland. We're definitely going back.

I came in on Cinco de Mayo, to say it was packed is an understatement. But we were really in the mood for Mexican, so we waited about 25 minutes or so for a table! We sat outside of the restaurant where we could hear our table called! The time just flew right by. Once were were seated, we received very warm chips and salsa! There were $2 margaritas which we chose to partake in! They were awesome! We ordered our food, which didn't take very long! I was disappointed that they had run out of guacamole by the time we were dining, but I didn't let that spoil my experience! The food was consistently good and the service was good as well! It was extremely crowded, but that didn't stop our server from providing us with very good service!

I was adventurous and tried the Salmon and Tilapia fajitas and wasn't let down..although I will note they never seem to give you enough onions or peppers....the fish was just right...grilled to perfection and not dry. The added bonus was last night they had a special on margaritas..my son tried the mango and I stuck with my tried and true strawberry and both were really yummy. Our server Liliana was amazing and spot on with top notch service...the manager checked in and graciously assisted her with removing used tableware to make the dining experience even better...this was a six star meal all around!!

We love Chevy's in Brandywine. The food is always delicious and margaritas are refreshing. We were there for happy hour. The ticket we received from the movie theater was used for a free appetizer of chicken taquitos. They are hot and awesome. My friend enjoyed his chicken smothered burrito. They permitted him to change the beans for a healthier grilled vegetables. I always enjoy their vegetable burrito with rice and pinto beans. The service was fast and the food came out hot. Nothing worse than a room temperature plate of food. Happy hour house frozen margaritas are $3, $6 for a grande.

My first time eating here and everything was pretty mediocre. The service kinda sucked, there was a bug in my boyfriends margarita, he also ordered a sprite and the waitress brought out a water, I ordered the chicken fajitas and the chicken was dry, I just wasn't sold on it. Overall I would say this is the place to go to if you like happy hour. Their drinks seem okay and their appetizers are okay, too. They had trivia when we were there, which was cool. Overall I would not return by choice, I would much rather eat at La Tolteca in La Plata.

The absolute worst!!! I have been to, and enjoyed Chevy's Fresh Mex for years. The last time!! I mean never again. The service was top notch but the food.... Chevy's used to be one of the best tex-mex around but ....Wow NEVER again. The two stars are for the great service from Tiara who despite having to peddle the swill that Chevy's serves and calls food, she had a smile and a sunny disposition.

I took a group of kids with me and boy did they LOVE it. The appetizers were awesome, the drinks were great and the guac was awesome. I ordered 3 appetizers and a main course, the kids menu had lots of options. The space didn't have a wait at night and I think that is due to the new cheddars around the corner 3 minutes away that was jam packed and had an hour wait. I think it may be hurting their business but my experience was still great with no wait

This restaurant only gets 2 stars because of their awesome food! The first time my husband and I were in there, we had an amazing experience, and after that, we have had terrible service where we are often neglected. *note, I wait tables and understand completely when a restaurant is 'in the weeds.. I'm sometimes too forgiving when I go out.'* Today, the experience started off bad at the host stand. She passed us several times and didn't even acknowledge us. Then she finally talks to us, we say we have 2 in our party and she walks away, and we weren't sure if we were to follow her or not. Very awkward. We get to the table and it took a while for our server to get to us. We had already decided our drinks, appetizer, and entrees. We would have told her all this at once but she was not using a pen and paper so we didn't want to give our whole order to someone not writing things down. She comes back and asks us again what our drinks were, to make sure but it was a Pepsi and a margarita. Not too complicated. And I'm pretty sure she hadn't put it in til we told her the 2nd time. Then, I sat and watched my margarita melt at the service bar. This is not just on our server, but all the others that passed it by and wouldn't bring it to our table. Another server dropped off our flautas appetizer (which is AMAZING by the way!!) We were halfway through thay before she came by and said "oh, it DID come out"... not sure why she was surprised by this... Anyway, we then give her the entree order, and again, she didn't write it down! It concerned me, but I wrote it off until she came back about 5 minutes later asking us what our order was! Why does she not write things down??! I'm positive she didn't put in the order until she asked us the second time! The order came out correctly and it tasted great but the service was just horrible and she was practically impossible to find! She seemed friendly but she needs to be around more and she DEFINITELY needs to write things down!! I'll be honest, we'll probably come back (like I said, the food is great!) but we will make sure we have a lot of time to kill (because it always takes a long time to get the check and then for us to actually PAY them) and we'll make sure it's not a special occasion when we want good service.

There are times when U just want a good meal. This was it. I guess this disaster is what I get for cheating on my diet and trying to enjoy a day off from school with my son. What can I say... the chicken on the sampler was hard as a rock, the chicken inside the quesadilla was sour, the flauntas were perfect but the fajitas nachos just tasted like dried chicken chunks and beans. They replaced the chicken on the sampler but thst was it. My son didn't want to try anything else. I had the shrimp and corn Tomalito... the meal was cold.. still I tried to eat it until I chomped down on a really cold piece of shrimp. I couldn't force it anymore. My server (Tee) was excellent. She checked on us and kept the root beer flowing for my son. Some time during our meal, the music was turned up really loud and at that point we asked for the check. So much food was uneaten, the very nice manager came to talk with me. But first, he had to go turn the music down. Just like in this review, I shared my thoughts with him. He asked in - depth questions about the food, which to me showed concern for how the food is prepared. Unbeknownst to me, when he brought me the check, he comped the entire meal. For that, I thank him. I don't think we'll be back again. We gave this place lots of chances and it still/continues to disappoint.

Walking into Chevys me and my husband were welcomed brightly by the wait-staff. We were quickly seated in a secluded corner, which was great, and started making our orders. Our waitress seemed super nice at first but after I had to send back my drink twice because it was missing or lacking the salted rim (which she seemed hesitant to take it back for me which was rather frustrating), she began to get what I call "shut up and eat your food" face. Dead pan smile but her eyes screamed "I hate you and this job". I tried to apologize to her for being "that customer" and her reply was "It's fine, I'm use to it." Wow. Alright. I may seem bubbly and ignorance-is-bliss-like but I am smart enough to know when you're being nasty. Later that night she checked in on us I tried to lighten the mood by making a joke and I swear she offered the fakest smile you have ever seen and that "Get me away from this table I actually hate you" laugh. I didn't want to feel like a jerk so we left a dollar-something tip-- even in the worst situations I never leave nothing-- but I was hesitant to even do that. I just really hate fake people. If you don't like people you shouldn't be in food service. Thank God the food tasted amazing. The Margarita was kinda blah... I feel like because I sent it back for more salt twice they put it IN my drink. It was so salty I couldn't drink the bottom half and it was served in a HOT glass. Hot-to-the-touch hot. Regardless, the rest of the evening was nice and it seems like a good place besides the run in with my drink and my waiters frustration with my displeasure in the $11.00 drink I was ordering. Pictures to be posted soon.

It's fast Mexican food--average quality. Don't need to come back. Been there/done that.

We usually go to Mexican restaurant, but decided to try Chevys. We went at around 5pm, the awkward not lunch but not quite dinner time, and it wasn't busy at all. When our server got there, I noticed right away that she was in a bad mood. She responded as if she had no time for questions about menu items and answered us really sarcastically. Even my mother in law who doesn't speak much English asked if she was being rude. Now I'm not going to judge a place based on one bad server, but the food wasn't really good. To start, the salsa is the worst I've tried at any restaurant. The tacos I got were also mediocre. I did enjoy the flautas and the tamalito. But it's not worth 3 stars. We probably won't come back unfortunately.

Service sucks at this location !! Sat at the bar and waited a long time for anyone to even acknowledge me. I was seated at a high top for 15 min and no one came so I moved to the bar. Food is typical here and I only came for the daily happy hour. Ridiculous service here in the bar area. Save yourself a trip.

We had Taega for our waitress. What an amazing experience. Great food and a wonderful waitress!! She definitely gets an A++ in customer service. My kids loved her! My 8 year old threw in some extra cash for her tip out of his own wallet. Thank you for your excellent service! We had a great dinner :)

I have many friends who spoke highly of this place. I decided to meet my sister at this particular Chevys on a recent Saturday afternoon. It is located in Brandywine Crossing, a place that I normally pass by while in route to Waldorf. Nevertheless, I found Chevys with no problem and was able to score a parking space near the entrance. I walked into the restaurant, which was about half full with patrons. We found seats at the bar with no problem. The look and feel of the restaurant was great. I like the tex-mex themed layout. As soon as I sat down, the bartender introduced himself. The bartender, pretty much by himself, made my initial Chevys experience a great one. I will give high marks to any place that have good and attentive bartenders. As the area around the bar filled with patrons, the bartender kept tabs on us as if no one else was around the bar. He was by far one of the better bartenders that I had the pleasure of dealing with at a chain restaurant of this type. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Flautas. I never had "flautas" anything before this visit. They are small crispy tortillas that contain chunks of grilled chicken, corn, cheese and peppers. They hit the spot. So much so, I ordered another plate of flautas. For my main drink, I ordered the Strawberry House Margarita. To say that the margarita was strong is an understatement. Normally at chain restaurants, it has been my experience that alcoholic drinks are very "watered down" and weak. Not at Chevys. I even sampled some of my sister's margarita. That too, was very strong. Of course, I left the bartender a very nice tip for my appreciation of his great service. For now, this spot is my new favorite tex-mex place. I like it much better than another tex-mex spot that I go to from time to time, Lauriol Plaza in the city. I know some will think I bumped my head for typing that. However, I make that claim base on my personal experience. My initial experience at Chevys was just that great.

This restaurant isn't even ok. Short: service was meh, food was ugh, and drinks were worse. Don't go. Long: We walk in around noon and there's no greeter or "seat youself" sign. So we linger and kind of wander around the waiting area. We don't seat ourselves and mess up any waiter rotations. Another man walks in waits for a second and walks around the whole place and finds no employees and leaves. Wish we did the same. We got queso dip that was like the bland canned stuff heated up. I'm guessing it's not typically served with chips because we had to ask for them. Salmon and chicken were really dry. But the salsa and rice were ok. The rum punch was so baaaaaad. It tasted like expired orange juice splashed with rum and topped with a big slice of an old orange. Didn't drink more than 2 sips. Seriously bad. What made all this worse was the price. We paid twice as much for food that's not even half as good at other Mexican American places. Just a really bad chain. The applebees of Mexican food. This is literally the worst Mexican food place I've ever been to. So yeah. 2 stars because I didn't get food poisoning and the rice was ok.

The service is hit or miss. I love the chips and salsa but the food is nothing memorable. Fajitas are bland, and same with tacos. Guacamole is good. I came here for a girls night, it was only 7pm and they said they were "closing early because it was slow." However, I had gone there several times before and that was my last straw. No more chevys for me!

It's a wrap. Our last time visiting Chevys at this location. The hostesses and waiters do a great job. Beyond that it's hit or miss. I've talked with the manager and he should be ashamed for his lack of commitment to the community. Our food took forever to arrive and when it did it was luke cold ( not luke warm) and the other wasn't even what we ordered. Sent it back, waited and waited and we never got anything else. Left very hungry and very disappointed. Can't support this place any longer. Needs better management. Lucky for us there's a Bonefish grill right next door. Instead of waiting 30 minutes to be seated like we did @ Chevys, we were seated immediately with nice hot bread. Skip the Chevys... go to Bonefish or Cheddars. You've got options in Brandywine.

Sooooo, we seated a li5tle slowly but once we got to our seat our server Eloisa was amazing. She was engaging, funny, and extremely attentive on this busy Saturday night! We always have a great experience when we come here! The food was average but made better becaue.of the service.

I would never return here only because the food just isn't as quality as authentic Mexican restaurants which are readily available in the area. The salsa is very sweet like sugar was added and has oil in it which doesn't really mean "fresh" in my mind when I think of salsa. The refried beans taste like baked beans, and the waitress didn't inform me the fajita burrito came with a side of sour cream when I ordered an extra side of sour cream which costs 1.29. The rice is also too sweet.

Went around 11 on the way to work. Food very good and quick. Had coupon from Groupon. Spend $15 and only pay $8 if coupons bought in group of three. Great deal. $45 of food for $24.

I've been here several times and I've never received service as terrible as last night. We decided to go because it was $3 margarita Wednesday and Chevy's usually has really good margaritas. But last night it was such a disappointment. The service was terrible, the margaritas were terrible and the food was terrible. I say the service was terrible because we ordered two margaritas one on the rocks and one frozen when the waiter came to deliver the drinks he bought two On the rocks in a beer glass explaining they were out if margarita glasses. It literally took them thirty minutes to bring a frozen margarita, he explained that the bar was backed up. When the frozen margarita arrived it looked like it had been sitting at the bar melting away for the past twenty minutes and it tasted terrible.

I've been to several Chevy's restaurants before. I've enjoyed all of them each time. The service has always been great and the food has always been delicious. This particular Chevy's was fine. Our waitress was very attentive. I order the same thing every time - shrimp and crab enchiladas with rice and grilled veggies. The enchiladas were noticeably smaller this time around and the veggies came out blackened. I still finished my meal with the exception of the blackened veggies. We will be back again because we're obsessed with the chips and salsa but it's sad that they are downsizing their platter portions and neglecting the way they are cooking some of their food.

Went to this venue on a Tuesday with my guy and a friend of his that recommended the place. This establishment is located adjacent from Bonefish Grill, so I've seen the spot many times but had never been. The outside structure/stucco is nothing special nor anything bad either. We arrived around 1pm and it was fairly empty, which I'm not complaining about. (Quicker and better service, imho). We all ordered a different kind of Margarita, with me adding a sidecar of Tequila b/c I thought it would be weak w/out it...I was wrong...it was NOT weak in the least and the sidecar was not necessary at all. The drinks were delicious...I had a total of three! I was feeling a strong buzz after and actually had a slight hangover, which I rarely ever have! I highly recommend this venue! Our bartender/waiter was name Shane(sp). He was not only awesome and friendly, but he made us some righteous drinks. Will visit again soon!

My husband and I didn't particularly enjoy this place. We are new to the area and wanted to try this out. After being sat down, we waited about 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. So many employees passed us, but no one ever said anything. Finally our waiter got to our table. He apologized for taking so long, which I appreciated. He was very friendly, chatted with us a bit. Made some recommendations. And sent off to get our drinks. After that, the service and experience were not good. Everything took forever to come. He forget a bunch of things. And barely checked on us. And on top of all that... the food was gross! I got a chimichanga (which I've got at many other places and absolutely LOVE!). It looked/tasted like it was microwaved. The rice was nasty and also looked microwaved. Our check was like $54. Which I think, for what we got... 2 sodas, 1 margarita, and 2 meals ... was way too expensive. If you're just going there for JUST drinks, cool. Other than that, don't go.

2hrs for soda and appetizers. Everyone in there saunters around as if they have nothing to do and their job is beneath them. 20 minutes for a bowl of ice cream to arrive. Then 20 minutes for the check, which was wrong. What a shame, food was tasty.

Chevy's is just another chain Tex-Mex place, so you should go into one not expecting much. The food is decent but there's nothing spectacular, and those that are looking for a real "Mexican" experience would best be served finding local eateries. However, for an alright TexMex experience, I recommend Chevy's over other chain restaurants. As for this one, overall the service was decent and I'd probably eat here again. Our server was polite and attentive and the food was served up hot and good. She forgot one extra request once and immediately rectified it. Even when a child in our party broke some dishware, she smiled, stated she had young siblings of her own, and cleaned it no problem. Plus, compared to nearby Cheddar's, the service and clientele was worthy of 5-stars. If you're in the Brandywine Crossing area, then this is a perfectly fine place to eat.

I only came here because I was looking for the Jamacian Restaurant which to my surprise had closed down. There was a lot of traffic on 301 and I was hungry so I decided to go in and have dinner. My server was nice and attentive. As I started off with chips and salsa, the first thing that i realized is that the salsa was SALTY!!!! HOLY COW!! The color wasn't as bright as you would normally see in Mexican Restaurants. I thought to myself well I'll get some guacamole with it. Not for 8.99 or whatever price they were charging. I ordered the Farmer's market Quesadilla and the salsa chicken taquitos and they were good. Not sure if I would eat here again. I think it's safe to say that myself as well as a lot of people can say they've had better.

I'm watching my weight so I got the salmon and veggie fajitas with no bread! It was very good! Would order again! My waitress was my neighbor so the service was great! Not sure if its always that way, but I was pleased!

My family likes to go here from time to time and usually the service is ok, never anything amazing but nothing that would keep me from returning. I don't know what was going on tonight but we had possibly the worst waitress. Normally when you eat here they bring you chips automatically, when they come to take your drink order or even when they seat you. When our waitress finally showed up to take our drink order, and then food order, I asked if she could please bring us some chips and salsa. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me the chips were all the way in the back and she would have to go all the way to the kitchen to get them. That was just the beginning, and it only got worse from there. Literally one thing after another. Maybe we were just there on an off night but I won't be returning.

Horrible service, bad staff communication, all of the tables are waiting while one bartender goes back and forth to a back room. Food was sweetened or salty which doesn't go with what they describe the food as. Overall not impressed the slightest.

Today, I was pleasantly surprised of the sizzling steak fajitas. I'm a big fan of Mexican food & when I was able to sample it in San Diego, it was pure bliss. Chevy's was totally awesome, the steak was tender & flavorful along with the refried beans, though I was not a fan of their rice. The waiter was the best & my family was extremely happy with this establishment....

Good food ,awful service!! Went in there to celebrate my mother's birthday ontop of it being my first time there and trust me when I say I won't be back. Not only did our waitress barely greet us but when I said it was my mother's birthday her reply was literally "oh what do you want me to sing or something" with an attitude. We had to literally ask for water more then once and other items we need to the point we just gave up asking and settled for what we had. Our waitress acted like she was gracing us with her presence each time. Then after dinner when I went to tell the manager to tell him of our bad service he too blew us off and didn't care pretty much just nodded and went "yeah OK" until we left and on top of that even the hostess sat and listened the entire time scoffing and rolling her eyes in view of him. The sad thing is the food was really good but due to the very bad servers and obviously very bad manager I'm never going bad and will advice anyone else not to.

We are used to the Chevys in Greenbelt, which is quick reliable and delicious. We chose Chevys because everyplace else had 45+ minute wait times. That should have been an indication of what was to come. This one is nicer looking on the inside, but the slowest service we have ever experienced. It took 20 minutes to get chips and salsa and refills of salsa and drinks were slow slow slow. This, coupled with having to get our check fixed twice (a result of the waitress not familiar with the Valentine's Day special advertised at each table or intentionally trying to screw us, we can't be sure), will probably keep us from coming back to this particular Chevys again.

Yes. I'm admitting it. I stooped very low on a Sunday afternoon, because I was in the neighborhood and I wanted to get my chips n salsa on. My one dead Mexican grandmother and Mayan and Aztec ancestors are probably turning in their graves. Especially at the sound of Traditional Mexican folk music that switched to Britney Spears and then back. It was like Chevy's suffers from Mexican music Tourette's syndrome. Oh my god.....I ate at a Chevys.....(deep breath)......and I kinda liked it. The taste of it's cherry chapstick. Oh wrong reference. I'm so ashamed! The service was slow. Sorta kinda real slow. I wasn't appreciating that. We of course were started off with chips n salsa. The salsa was kinda watered down and mild. It was just okay. After I started eating the salsa I had to really take a look around me. Not one Hispanic/Latino soul in site. Hahah! I guess that explains it. For my main entree I went with a combo of chicken tamale and chile relleno with rice and beans. The tamale was pretty good. It wasn't too big and had a nice saucy texture mixed with the corn masa. My chile relleno was ok. Big pablano stuffed with cheese and batter fried and topped with a New Mexican red sauce. My refried pinto beans came topped with melted jack cheese. I'm not gonna lie. I ate it all. And I washed it down with a lemonade. Why I didn't have a Corona or Dos Equis I don't know. I was driving and I had to make a quick getaway before anybody saw me coming out of that place. I feel so dirty. Ok, lets just keep this between you and me.

Le sigh. So yes, I ate at Chevy's Friday night. As a parent, sometimes you just have to DO things you wouldn't otherwise do! The Bonefish Grill across the street was the intended destination--being one of my favored chain establishments--but they were on an hour wait, which wasn't gonna happen with a hungry 2-year-old in tow. So we walked over to Chevy's, where I just KNEW there could be no wait.... There was...and we were not sat for over 20 minutes after being quoted 20. The food was very meh. My hubs is a real fan of Americanized Mexican and even he kept commenting that the chips and fajitas at Chili's were far superior. We ordered guac and it was sprinkled with parmesan cheese? It was better after I squeezed a lime in it. My beer, a tall Modelo Negra, kept me content through the meal. Our 2 and 6 year olds loved the queso cheese dip and the chips. They also were given a big ball of cookie dough, crayons and an activity book to keep em busy and a balloon as they left --a nice touch from the parents point of view. I will say we had a very good server who was on it! We received everything super quickly and he made sure we were taken of. All in all, this is but another Tex-Mex chain cranking out the generic. Nothing memorable but could be an option if you need something very kid-friendly where you can also grab a margarita?

We just had carry out from Chevy's. I had pork tamales and chicken tamales with red sauce, refries, and rice. I'm a big fan of tamales and all I can say is "Aye, Caramba! Those were not good tamales!" The chicken tasted "old" -- nothing like paying for "fresh" food and getting leftover chicken in my tamale. The red sauce is absolute crap. I think the "cook" opened a can of tomato sauce, threw in some corn, and some other stuff and called is sauce. It was very acidic, had no salt, no cumin, co chili powder, or anything else that would make tex-mex. So, I'm guessing the "cook" forgot to cook the sauce. The bitch of it is -- the kitchen is probably full of guys from places that the locals eat red sauce. Maybe Chevy's should try serving tamales tex-mex style with a little chili on top. Chalk it up to another restaurant living down to southern Maryland food standards.

I hate Chevy's food. It's one of the biggest offenders when it comes to absolute garbage food. Such a wretched example of Mexican food. If you like anything close to real, skip iiiiit. My enchiladas came with chili and cheddar cheese on top. Oh my word...just oh my word. This is the Midwestern idea of good Mexican food.

I'm a Chevys fan. I used to frequent the location in my old neighborhood for happy hour and lunch so I was happy when this location opened in my current neighborhood two years ago. The restaurant is located in the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center near Target and Safeway. Love the chips, salsa, shrimp fajitas, fish tacos, chicken quesadillas, frozen fruity margaritas, and enchiladas. As a chain restaurant, Chevys has been pretty consistent in terms of food. I've been to happy hour at this location several times too and left happy. The half-price appetizers - I usually get the nachos - and the margaritas are super yummy and affordable. This is a good location for children, family, friends, and groups.

My son and i went tonight for the first time..the sign advertised Wed nights as $3.00 Margarita Night! That sounded great..except when i ordered i was told that it only applied to the regular margarita, and not the fruit ones such as Mango, Raspberry, ect.. they would be an additional dollar ($4.00), and the Watermelon Margarita would not be included at all and was $7.50..the sign never mentioned any of that...so that was a little deceiving i thought.. Our waitress, Ashley, was awesome! Very friendly and helpful..never stopped smiling! We ordered Table Side Guacamole that she made herself and it was great! Served with wonderfully baked tortilla chips..The salsa they serve is good, but not great...I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas and they were good, not great. My son ordered the Chimichanga, also good, not great.. On an up note, the portion sizes are monsterous, and 2 people could easily share one dinner! We will go again, and try something different..if nothing else, go for the Table Side Guacamole..and ask for Ashley!

Good food. Guacamole could be better but overall dinner was good. Salmon tacos were awesome. Tilapia not the best.

Update!..We came here again on August 10th in the afternoon to use a certificate that I had been given as a result of our first visit back in May. I have to say this experience was a total 360 from the first time we were here. EVERYTHING was so much better from the food to the service. Which brings me to our server Austin. This young man was phenomenal. He was super polite, chatted with us, brought us anything and everything we asked for and he kept checking on us to see if there was anything else he could do. He is a wonderful asset to this establishment and we will be back to see him again! My boyfriend and I ordered the Nachos as an appetizer and they are HUGE! Very good, we both loved them but of course we couldn't finish them. We both ordered the shrimp fajitas for dinner and my daughter ordered the cheeseburger. The fajitas were amazing! We had huge portions of shrimp and it was cooked perfectly, I can't even begin to tell you how good it smelled! The rice was great and so were the beans, they had a wonderful flavor that was no longer a grossly over seasoned artificial taco taste. My daughters burger was surprisingly good as well. Restaurant kids burgers are all pretty much the same but I even tasted it and exclaimed that it was "A damn good burger!" So that was a pleasant surprise as well. For desert we shared the brownie sundae, even though none of us really had room we managed to choke it down :-) I have to say I am really glad that we were given the opportunity to try Chevy's again because the entire experience was really fabulous and I'm glad that they have made the changes that I was hoping to see. Upon our leaving I spoke to the Manager that day and we expressed how wonderful the food and service was and that as a result of how great our experience was we would most certainly be back! Thanks for listening to the customers Chevy's!!

This location is one of the few restaurants close to my work, so it came up in rotation when my coworkers and I were planning our monthly dinner out. The chips here are amazing, making up for the chips on the servers' shoulders. The Santa Fe chopped salad I had was pretty good too.

Had dinner here tonight. Chips, guacamole, salsa were great. I would recommend highly the pineapple coconut margarita. The tamale with verde sauce and the refried beans were excellent. The waiter was very attentive. All in all a nice experience.

Went on a Wednesday night, service was fantastic. Food was really good, wife and kids enjoyed themselves. Wednesday's kids eat for a $1.00!!!

My husband and I were in the area and had eaten at Chevy's years ago so thought we would give it a try. I think our taste has refined itself for we found this food pitiful. Everything tasted very artificial and processed. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. The table we were shown to was dirty. The salsa had no heat to it and there was nothing fresh in it (such as jalapenos, onions, tomatoes, cilantro..things you would find in salsa). I would not recommend Chevy's to anyone that wants authentic Mexican food. If you are looking for a place that serves over-processed food you are in the right location!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
