Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I went here yesterday as part of a party of 6. Our waitress didn't explain the details of the Endless Appetizer promotion. When she said that she would get an insert about it, she did just that. Got one. For a table of 6! I had to ask her for refills of my water and I think that a patron should absolutely never have to do that. The food itself was good. I had the Boneless Hot Wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings and Ghost Pepper Wings. All were tasty and delivered fairly quickly. All in all, the service by Jenna gets a 1 and the food got a 3. I'd return, but I'd ask for another server if I got Jenna.

We sat at the bar and watched the bartenders clean up around us while not even acknowledging we were sitting there. Finally we were greeted...she got our drinks and menus...we were ready to order and during that time we watched one bartender wash dishes the other one close out checks...which she never acknowledged us anyway... After 5 minutes we decided to pay for my beer and her iced tea and leave! If Angel or Chelsea are the bartenders...ask for a table!!!! They are rude and offer horrible service and entitled bartenders!!! Let me just say I have been in this business for 15 years and those two are some of the worst bartenders I have ever come across!! Won't be going back...... until they are no longer employed there!!!

One word: disappointing. Our waitress, Jenna, excluded the fact that we could switch wing flavors with the endless appetizers. I unknowingly ordered the mozzarella stick which were nothing worth mentioning (in a positive way) and was extremely disappointed. She realized her mistake and let me transfer to the boneless wings. The celery sticks that came with the buffalo wings were lukewarm. I later asked for water and she said she'd "be right back" and she didn't return with my water for approximately 37 minutes. Normally at Friday's, the service is above par. This specific location was nothing in comparison to even McDonalds. I am extremely disappointed and will never be returning.

Came in to have a later dinner. Requested to sit in bar. Hostesses said to wait as they would clear a table. Both sat at a bar high top and talked to friends... Or what seamed to be friends as we watched them stare at three dirty tables. Fifteen minutes passed and we left. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never return. Ever.

Usually come here on my lunch break, the waiters are responsive and curtious to my limited time. They usually put my order in quickly. The Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta usually fills me up well into dinner time.

Went yesterday for the first after living here for 10 years. We usually go to the restaurants on the Avenue. From the moment your park your car in lot to the front door, to the booth it is completely FILTHY. The menu's had fingerprints and food stains. I gritted my teeth through it but I really should have left. I got the smallest item on the appetizer menu. Ended up with a raging stomach ache later that night. We will never go back.

Always good, drinks are made well. Never order the French Onion Soup though because it's way too strong. I could hardly eat a few bites.

I can't begin to express how pleased I was with the service and food at this location. I usually go to the one in Owings Mills (they're ghetto) or the 1 in towson (they're too slow) but I happened to be in the area and tried this one. Yes they were packed but the wait wasnt to bad only about 20 minutes. The waitress was very friendly and seemed to like her job which made our experience all the more enjoyable. The head waitress,an older lady, was amazing! She wasn't even waiting on our table but made sure we were ok and made good conversation with us. We ordered endless appetizers, WHICH WERE DELICIOUS, and they were just that endless. Our waitress made sure soon as we were done with 1 plate another was on its way out which none of the other 2 locations listed above do. They'll make you wait 30/40 mins b4 they'll come back to your table once they figure out the only thing your ordering is the appetizers. Long story short. I think this is worth the longer drive from my home rather then the one close to me. I had absolutely no complaints. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is bc they got our bill wrong but were more then willing to fix it right away. Good job. I'm a custom for life.

Came here with a date on friday. They were packed. Our waitress was very friendly and always kept our drinks refilled. The food however was not that good. Ordered the endless wings & fried shrimp dinner. The wings were not fully cooked. So i had to send the first order back. Also the shrimp were so deep fried that it tasted like total grease. 2nd order of wings came out very good. But 15mins had passed in between so my date was finish and i had like 5wings. So all in all that's a nice way to waste like $42 + tip....

Thee absolute worst service....how are you slow when you're not packed. 2..two bartenders..Superbowl Sunday & you'd think we were located in M&T Bank Stadium. If it's like this on a slow night...damn. You've been warned. Couple nights prior, I had to wait 40 minutes for Boneless Wings.

Service is slow. Food over priced. Tables not cleaned before seating you. Goto Chili's instead.

We decided to come here for dinner after enjoying a late night movie. This was our second time coming to this location The staff was slow and lazy . Our server was something out of a teen movie always talking to her co- workers and not doing the job she was getting paid for. We observed the bartender taking shots while fixing customers drinks. We decided to order the ribs and a salad as a appetizer. We both agreed that was a awesome dinner. The ribs was following off the bone and the salad was nice and fresh. If we do decide to visit this establishment again it will be before 10:00p.m. If you decide to visit this establishment for a late night meal expect to have a bad experience.

Due to the lack of customer service from this specific Fridays a usual customer is no longer a loyal customer of Fridays. I came here on my friends birthday in hopes to take her out but the drinks came an hour after ordering and our food never made it! We were there for 3 hours waiting and watched other people with a different waiter come in and out with only an hour wait on food! This was the worst experience ever! I would not even recommend this place for a roach!

Came here on Saturday 2/28/15 and they were slammed packed. First off I had a bit of annoyance with the hostess! She had a very Nasty attitude. I don't want to take stars away for that. I didn't let her nasty attitude ruin our night. I was surely expecting my food to be messed up a lil burn or something but it's wasn't! My waiter was very inattentive and I had to say excuse me a bunch of times just to get his attention but at the end of the night I understood what he was dealing with! a very packed restaurant and very packed section. Over all Our food was perfect! But like I said the only thing that bothered me was the hostess and the lady next to us at the bar cussing up a storm! I wouldn't have minded the cussing but she knew and saw I had three children with me But I didn't fault our server or the restaurant for that. Thanks so much for trying your best!

Well, this place is still terrible. What can I say? I know our server was trying and yes, I know how much it sucks to be a server. Customers suck, I get it. But come on man...if you're working for tips, or working with the public at all, it really can't hurt to be nice and try to make people happy. The guy running our food was way more pleasant than our server was. I mean, she did her job but she just wasn't friendly. She was very short with us and it kind of seemed like she may have been in withdrawal from some sort of highly-addictive narcotic. I don't mean to be judgy, but I live in Baltimore city, and I can spot a dope fiend. Why don't they just close this place down for training or something? I think it would be beneficial. Also, all the food is pretty much frozen and is not good.

Saturday and still on a wait at 10 PM. Got a seat by the bar. Bartenders are extremely busy but still very attentive. Beer is served with a nice cold glass and food looks and tastes great. Endless appetizer was a nice surprise .

Pretty typical Fridays as far as food and staff. Place was packed but service still friendly and fast. Food came out quick, hot, and delicious. If I'm too tired or lazy to do a local spot I always enjoy hitting up a Fridays over other chain bar and grills.

What happened to this place?? I don't remember having a bad meal at Friday's ... Until this past Friday. The nachos we ordered were around $12 and for that amount of cheddar I would think it would be a gigantic mess of goodness. I was wrong. The serving size was extremely small and we gobbled it up in just a couple min. Next up was my order of Cajun Chicken Shrimp Pasta. When the waitress sat the plate in front of me I was speechless. I was looking at an entree that was at most half the portion of what I've always received. In addition to half size portions I was extremely disappointed with the atmosphere. This place is supposed to be fun right?? The truth is ... I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I wiill never go to this Fridays again.....second thought I might never go to any Fridays ever. They really drop the ball on my expectations. -had reservations to be seated and still had to wait to they sat a group larger than us who came in after my group. -was seated for an hour and did not have a waiter to drink order( thirsty the whole hour) -food did not come out for another half and hour -Manager did not acknowledge any mistakes that her team made. -many errors on receipt. I called the corporate office about my terrible and they also dropped the ball. They said that they was sorry for the bad service and they was going to return my money -they still have not :( Please skip Fridays! Any where but fridays!

Better service than the last time I came here is what prompts my urge to review this restaurant. Decided to do dinner here on a Thursday night for the $3 appetizers and $3 drinks. I ate like a champ and drank like one too and didn't break the bank. My kind of night!

Ehhhhhh! I USED to work here a year ago and Fridays is pretty clean and great managment. So i have nothing bad to say about this resturant as a employee BUT..... im usually not the type to spend my hard earn money on chain resturants but i only went here to apologize to a friend of mines and treated him to a steak. (Me and my big mouth) lol Must i say im not the steak type eating person but their steak was very resonable. Cooked medium well. I was a little surprised i good it looked. For Drinks i had the Diddy-Up. Great drink to go with a hearty meal. 1 thing i will admit about Fridays i love Fridays Birthday song.

I have been here a few times and the food is usually pretty good. Had an early dinner with the hon bun and the Jack Daniels flat iron steak was out of this world (key word jack Daniels) also the cotton candy martini is pretty dope, they are nice enough that you can even get a free side of cotton candy!

Terrible service. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table and the four closest to the door were all empty and stayed that will till after we got sat. He took my grandmas order and we told him to put that in and didn't come back for 10 minutes when her food was ready. Then all we did was order soup and it took another ten minutes to get it to us.

Not bad... Came here with a group of 10 (9 dudes and me) and we were told to wait 15 minutes while they set up a table for us. It ended up being a bit cramped, but we piled in and ordered beers right away. Our waitress was a really chatty girl who was flirting a lot (girl's gotta make her tips!) but she always took my order first and made sure I was taken care of so I have no complaints. They had some beer specials so I got the Magic Hat draft for $4 while a few guys opted for the $3 Bud Light special. One of the guys got a Guinness chocolate shake thing which turned out to be REALLY delicious. It was like a thick milkshake but with alcohol :) I took a sip but didn't order one of my own since all of their cocktails were relatively pricey. For dinner, I ordered the key west shrimp, which was shrimp on skewers with a lemony, acidic seasoning. It came with broccoli or something, but I asked to substitute green beans. I thought it was a really delicious but light meal. If I had been starving, I would've been dissatisfied, but after a few beers, I started to run out of space in my stomach, which was good. Overall, it was a decent experience. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Oh! And the best part, our server was so sweet, she put our orders on separate checks so we didn't have to worry about who had cash and who didn't and splitting things on cards. I'm not sure if she was just being sweet to us or if Friday's just isn't fussy in general.

I've been coming here over 15 years, and it's always been a favorite. Every time they redo the interior though, they make it worse. Recently they removed all the glass dividers making it all open, and the atmosphere is horrible now. It's incredibly noisy. I had to yell my order to the waitress, and forget trying to have a conversation with my wife and kids. The food was fine but it was anything but relaxing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Even the waitress acknowledged that she hated the new refurb. It felt like a NY bar or nightclub. If that's the atmosphere they want, take kid's meals off the menu. Never going back.

The waitress was very pleasant but the food took forever. Although the food was okay it's not worth the wait. Won't be going back.

This is an excellent location for a great casual dining experience. I had the chicken and shrimp pasta..it was cooked to perfection. The Jack Daniels meals are tasty, also. Regarding dessert, the Brownie Obsession is a must...you just don't find a lot of places with such amazing desserts these days. Overall, reasonable prices, great service and tasty food!

  • Adrian W.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The waitress was absolutely awful. We had no silverware and waited 10 minutes to get our drinks (2 waters & kid beverages) and at least an hour to get our food. Mind you this wasn't a complicated order - tacos, a hamburger and a kids meal chicken skewers/fries. The management at this place stinks. I complained to the manager and his response was "we make everything from scratch, so it takes time", then gave me a smug shoulder shrug and walked away. I guess back in the kitchen there is someone making tortilla chips, cheese and grinding meat. Under no circumstances should it ever take 40 minutes to get 8 tortilla chips covered in a couple flakes of shredded cheese. And 20 more minutes to get a hamburger. It just shouldn't... So for our troubles, they sent out a complimentary carrot and ranch dressing side. Now I'm not looking for my meal to be free, but it would have been a much better experience had someone come over during all of this and said something/anything. Finally, after an hour of waiting we get our food and it looks like half the typical portion size. It wasn't bad, but for the price we paid it should have been much more. When I say the portion sizes were half size, I'm not kidding. I can't in good conscience recommend this place over some of the other MUCH BETTER restaurants in the area.

First of all, I am not sure what has happened to this place, but other than the wait staff who were very nice I completely hated my meal. I ordered a petit filet medium, with mash potatoes, and french fries, as well as what i thought was going to be shrimp scampi. They had a lot of chives on everything, which i am not a big fan of in the first place. I admit to being a picky eater, so instead will refer to my gf's plate who had the same dish, but different sides. The "scampi" was still in the shell and on a barb' q scure, which i had never seen it like that before. She hated it as well. Normally the shrimp is taken out of the shell, NOT HERE!!!. I ordered it, but when i saw the plate I sent it back. I got a "fresh" fresh plate less than 5 minutes after, and they gave me a large amount of fries. It filled half the plate. I would not have minded that, but more than 3/4 of them were a dark brown color and grossly overcooked(the one flaw i found with my waitress was that she actually served them). The bartender came to ask us how things were, and i asked him if the fries were supposed to be this dark and crunchy and he said "no". Although they were willing to make new ones, i just picked around the plate for the ones i could eat. So overall i was not impressed with the food at all. I am very big on quality control when i have to spend 40 bucks for me and my gf to have a meal, and even though we had all the problems we did, they did not discount the bill. Me being the nice guy i was still gave the waitress a 15% tip, which was semi deserved, but my gf said i should not have done that, especially after all the complaining. I do not put much up on yelp, but BUYER BEWARE if you eat at this place. One thing i can say good about it is, being a recent non-smoker who now Vapes, they allowed me vape at my table, knowing it was not harming anyone like if i were to smoke a cig. SO THAT WAS A PLUS. LOL

Good to go and split appetizers in a group, but don't expect top quality or healthy food (even though they try to advertise otherwise). Sit in the bar for some good deals at happy hour (weekday afternoons around 4-7) especially since you don't have to worry about smoking anymore. Service is quite often slow, though.

    (3)
  • Angie K.

Along with other reviewers, I would never willingly go to this Fridays ever again. The food is fine, but I found a few other areas quite lacking. My specific problems: Bar area not just loud but exceptionally loud. People standing around in a large group directly next to our table, requiring all the wait staff to have to squeeze by, basically invading our table every two seconds. Do I want the rear of people to be shimmying inches from my food constantly? No, not really. When we complained to our waiter about this problem, he did mention it to the group of people and he made sure to let this group know that we were the ones complaining. My friends and I would normally go for the happy hour prices, but due to our problems, I have far more pleasant places to spend my time and money. You can find something better in this area, basically.

This was our destination for an extremely late night dinner. Because we were in a hurry, we grabbed dinner in the bar. The staff was scary. Our server was something out of a bad movie. He was kinda an older Napolean Dynamite with darker hair, Hansen brother glasses and a handle bar mustache. The bartender was witnessed shot gunning a Red Bull behind the bar. A couple others were cheering on a couple of chicks looking for each other's tonsils by the window. Quite the family establishment....just like a Hooters! Burger, steak and pot stickers were our picks. The burger looked good, my steak was okay (no vegies, just meat and taters. so much for the options on the menu) and the pot stickers went down quick. Maybe this isn't the place to be around closing time.

Great server Tiff... Timely and usually the place to go after a nite out with my friends. However March 17, 2013. After only nibbling on appertizers, and eating a few fries we decided to box and go and then it happened. Got to the car and our stomaches started doing flipssss. My girlfriend had to make a U turn back inside and run to Friday's bathroom. I'm sitting saying this is not happening. Got over to White Marsh Mall and stomaches still knotting up after 2 mozz sticks... Reallyyyy... Had to b-line to Macy's restroom for 20 mins... Luckily I was carrying baby wipes and Axe spray for women... Which smells great by the way. But stomach was on fire. Ran thru Macy's in 10 mins and dashed home to spend another 3hours in the bathroom and taking 2showers. So on St Patty's Day I was held up meeting up with friends... Generally, I not a call back kinda Lady but I had 2. The manager kinda dragged a lil but for a party of 2 paying $40for The Shitzzzz hmmm seemed unfair so the end result was comp meals that we can use another time. I usually dont do appertizers. I think I'll stick to that... Jack Daniel's burger, fries and a wedge salad is usually my goto meal... W/o an appertizer soooo Imma try this again and I'll update when thw Comp cards arrive.

Staff is scary. Drinks are watery and the glasses are brought to the table WET. Fries were cold. I will not be back!

very surprised to again get such poor service, server follow-up. I arrived for 'lunch' at 3:25pm (mid-day, mid-shift) Served beverage right away and ordered, then waited over 20 minutes for an Appetizer! Never offered salt & pepper, no follow-up "how is everything?" I finally flagged down staff to get salt and pepper 1/2 way through meal! Was never offered dessert which I wanted, but a check was laid in front of me as they were caahing out the shift and dividing tips, apparently (around 4-4:15pm) Maybe they wanted me to just pay and get the hell out of there?! I ordered dessert and then left shortly thereafter. I live 3 miles from the TGIF Towson Dulaney Valley Road, but drive all the way over here to get better food & service. I guess I now have to drive to Bel Air or Arundel Mills? How come they no longer print out your cumulative total points on the GIVE ME MORE STRIPES program, and when did they discontinue the red & white chips with warm salsa for all POINTS card holders? No manager visible, staff wanted to go home and was inattentive and hard to flag down, except to pay the checkl!

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
