We stopped here for a special occasion for my Father-in-Law's retirement dinner. The staff was very welcoming and warm which can be an issue at some upscale steak houses. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu items and suggestions. He was extraordinarily personable and joked and talked with the party the whole night. The food was amazing. They had a couple of off-menu dry-aged steak options and I got the dry-aged strip. It was prepared perfectly temperature wise and melted in your mouth. The gorgonzola compound butter was fabulous accent but the steak certainly didn't need it. My 8yo son is a picky eater and selected an appetizer as a meal. It came out and he didn't care for it so we had to have them make a burger for him so he'd have something to eat. They rushed through the burger and got it out quickly and perfectly done. He loved it and big kudos to the service touch of making sure it arrived quickly. Overall, if you're looking for a place for a nice higher end dinner, this is a great option and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Martinis, Music, & Minxes My business took me to Baltimore on a particularly frigid week in late December. I purposefully set my meetings up early in the day, so Lady Mary and I would have chance to paint the town rouge. Sullivan's was the last stop of the day for us (after checking into the Hyatt, and dining at Kona), where we decided to partake in a few beverages to warm ourselves. Sullivan's exudes the kind of old world classiness that speaks directly to the Urqhart soul. Chestnut bar, good whiskey list, live jazz, and foxy little servers with cute stockings...good show. There was a piano trio performing mainly bossa nova, which I don't mind, but don't love. A few whiskeys later, we asked if they could play any salsa. Even though it's not terribly easy for a trio to play (one could easily require ten musicians), they were happy to make an attempt. Lady Mary dances. I do not. Luckily, there was an attractive Ukrainian girl who was happy to 'cut a rug' with my better half. I do, however, like to watch girls dance and drink...so this worked out brilliantly for me. After round one of 'Dancing with the Staff', we tried our new favourite cocktail; a thai basil, pepper infused martini. I may have to return to Baltimore just for another one of these buggers. It was well balanced, very refreshing, but still exhibited depth of flavour, and had enough vodka to surely keep it's 'martini status'. Place this on your must try list. After all was said and done, we spend a hundred dollars on just drinks. It sure is a good thing that I'm the sort of chappy who can spend a hundred dollars on drinks!! Being a Brit still does 'rule' a bit. Cheers.

This place is not cheap. Thank goodness I came here on a work lunch and wasn't paying! At lunch time, they offer a $20 business lunch. This includes a main entree, soup or salad and bread. I got the filet mignon with the blue cheese topping (warning: that will set you back an extra $3.00). The filet was cooked just right and was very yummy. I also got the asapargus bisque that included nice big chunks of Maryland crab. So good!

This would be a four star review (4.5 if that were an option), if it wasn't for the disappointing crab cakes. I have eaten at the Sullivan's in Baltimore multiple times, mostly for work events, but I recently went for restaurant week and I had an entirely different experience. It was rushed, but I understand, the restaurant was busy with guests for restaurant week and the servers were trying to flip the tables as quickly as possible. I got the wedge salad which was amazing- it is topped with blue cheese dressing, crumbles, diced tomatoes and just delightful. My boyfriend ordered the cheese steak rolls which were fantastic, but a bit too salty for my taste. He thoroughly enjoyed them though. My compliant were the crab cakes- they had celery, peppers, and onions in them along with a lot of breading. I know they are a steak house, but this was extremely disappointing, especially because the crab cake is such a MD staple. The steak, however, was phenomenal. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip and I was immediately jealous. The steaks melts in your mouth and was absolutely delicious. The sides are great- the mac and cheese is great and the green beans were delicious. The regular prices are a little high, but it is worth going at least once to try the steak.

Great food. Even better service. If you get the server, Shannon, consider yourself lucky. She is super charming and great at her job. Strap yourselves in for a great dining experience.

Hate to wreck the place since I LOVE the meatloaf, but out of 6 times I have been there now the quality has just dropped and the service, while efficient enough, seems a bit smug. Today's experience was simple, me and a coworker coming by for a late lunch in the bar. Just burgers (meduim) nothing fancy. My coworker bit into hers and sent it back for being a combination of not cooked enough and cold, mine was in the same shape but I didn't care quite as much. Why you as? Because it had been 45 minutes sine we had ordered and I would have eaten my own hand by this point. 30 minutes later when her burger comes out again it was fine, yet lukewarm. This was in the bar. There were maybe 4-5 other patrons total that I could see. Staff should have been embarrassed to bring this out (both me and my coworker were waiters through college, so we speak from some experience). Oh and brioche bun was stale. Let's see, time before that was again an hour and half for lunch with the place empty, slow service and fair food. Time before that went for an early saturday dinner with my wife, I ordered the meatloaf and they told me they were out (!!! for the saturday 'rush'? Really?) and my wifes steak was warm at best. Go back a year ago and I really liked this place. Steak was nice, liked the steak salad a lot, raved about it. Solid 4 star place. But lately, just cold, average food and extremely slow unenthused service, and for premium pricing I would pass.

Went with a large group of people as a guest so I only had to order my meal and say thank you. However I did see the prices on the menu and my glasses fogged up as I totaled up my meal and my husband's. I had a really good shrimp cocktail that was served super cold and with some very hot but tasty cocktail sauce. I keep drinking water and eating that horseradish laced sauce like it was Hershey's. After that I had some of the seafood (clams, snow crab legs and crab meat) that was in the large seafood appetizer bowl. The crab meat was served cold and was quite fresh and tasty. Also had a small garden salad to keep me from eating the bread, which was served on a plate as an uncut loaf with a dull knife. C'mon guys, give me a bread knife to cut the bread or do it in the kitchen. I did my best but the dull knife kept me from making neat even slices. The bread was a bit dry so I ignored it and left it for the others to eat. My main course was a 7 ounce broiled lobster tail. It looked like it was about 4 to 5 ounces of meat and the rest shell. It tasted very good and was tender but it was small sized for the hefty price. My husband had the petite filet which was really petite and a single broiled lobster tail. He told me the steak was tender and tasty and he enjoyed the lobster tail. A number of different vegetables were ordered to share and some were very good. I enjoyed having the spinach and the asparagus with my meal. By the time the desserts were ordered I was filled from all the different foods I had eaten and only had a cup of decaf to wash down the meal. The restaurant had milk instead of cream so I was a happy diner. I like Sullivan's and if you have read my previous steak house reviews, you know I'm not a steak house gal. This was one of the better meals I've had at a steak house in Baltimore. We had great service from two servers and the people from the kitchen who brought out the food hot and ready to eat. I checked out the restroom and found it acceptable and well stocked. There is valet parking in front of the entrance which was very nice on a 20 degree night with a low windchill index. Why did I give Sully's a three star after saying I enjoyed the meal? This is basic food without any imaginative prep by the chef. The horseradish mashed potatoes were not tasty and not up to par for such an expensive meal. I think he price tag exceeded the meal by 100%. Would I return? Yes if someone else was picking up the tab for the meal. It is decent food, there is good service and valet parking to relieve you of the burden of parking in a downtown garage but I know there are better places to dine for the same dollar.

I struggle with Sullivan's. We eat here a couple of times a year when in Baltimore for business. A couple of guys in my group have been eating here for years and really, I think they still go here for nostalgic purposes. It can't be for the food. This is your typical old school steakhouse. Rather expensive. Dark. Everything is big. The problem I have is that the steaks and burgers just don't stand out. Actually, the sides are rather nice. It's the meat where they fall flat. I will claim to be quite good at making an outstanding steak at home so a steakhouse has to be pretty amazing to score well with me. A good steak should have a nice seared crust and be finished to the correct temperature inside. At Sullivan's, the steaks tend to come out gray, no crust. Like they're not being cooked at the correct temperature. Last night, one of the guys at our table got the burger. Typical thick steak house burger on a big, dry roll. The waitress asked him how he liked it and he just shrugged. You know, it's not a bad place, just not really as great as it should be.

When I think of a steak house, I think of restaurants like 'Outback Steakhouse" or "Longhorn Steakhouse." So, you can imagine my surprise when I walked into this space expecting a family casual restaurant and stepped into a really fancy and expensive restaurant. This is a really nice place, so be warned and fatten up your wallet before you come here because it's a swanky, yummy steak haven by the Harbor. The servers who waited on our big party were super cool. These guys were confident, sharp, and quick-witted, and made the experience very enjoyable. I only stayed around for appetizers because I had dinner plans later on in the evening. I liked that they gave out fresh, warm, crusty bread as we waited to order, and the appetizers I tried were delicious. I was particularly wowed by their cheese steak egg rolls. Yes, you heard me right...egg rolls! My co-workers all said their steak and crab cakes were amazing, and probably the best food they had on our conference trip thus far. So, give them a shot if you're in the mood to splurge on a nice meal.

I find this place to be very hit or miss. I've dined in several times and have had very memorable experiences but every time I sit at the bar, I'm underwhelmed. Last night was no exception. I had the wedge salad and the 12 oz. filet oscar style. The salad, was well, a salad. The steak was severely charred to the point where it was all I tasted. I have had anywhere from 2 star experiences here to 4 star experiences so I'll rate it at a 3. However, it is still one of the 5 best steakhouses in Baltimore.

We went yesterday after comic-con. Did the happy hour bar thing. Knockout cocktail was great, ordered three items: burger, bbq beef and flank steak. Also ordered the brownie for dessert. Drinks - good, bf had a margarita that was too sour for me, but he liked it. Food: Burger was decent, the bread was kinda dry. The fries were great, nice shoestrings. BBQ beef -ehhh..not great. came on some sort of burnt tortilla and it was gross. I was starving so I ate the meat inside but it was not very tasty Flank steak was excellent. It came with a mushroom, butter sauce abed sauteed spinach. LOVED IT! Dessert -Brownie - took 40 minutes and was gross. blech. Told the waitress, who was very friendly, but she didn't really care. We would go back but now we know what to order - only steak!

Went for a surprise party last night and the food was fantastic but service was beyond horrible! 45 mins seated without bread or refills on water. Food came out 2 hours later and a lot of food was missing! After half the party complained and nothing was taken off our bill to remove the sour taste out of our mouths. They and about 5 large parties from what I could see and was way under staffed. I don't know how that's possible with over 3 weeks notice but heyyyy that's not our job to worry about that. Don't go there for any celebration is my advice.

I was here for a specialty group party where they served appetizers. The service was great. But honestly, the apps weren't fantastic. Given the expensive price tag on a dinner here, I would probably skip it based on what I ate tonight. It's sort of your typical downtown-near-the-harbor-hotels-steakhouse, nothing fantastic. Sure, it's alright if you have no way to get to a better restaurant, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have dinner here.

First, I should say that my gf and I went here last night, and it was restaurant week. I mention this both because its relevant to the review, but also to clarify that we are not those people that only go to the higher end restaurants when it's restaurant week. We have been to Ruth's Chris/Flemings and such many times both during and not during restaurant week. The food: My gf got the wedge salad, crab cakes, and ny cheesecake, and I got the cheesesteak egg roll, NY strip, and the flour less chocolate torte. My Gf loved the salad, but I hate bleu cheese so I didn't try it. My app was awesome, though I have to say that the restaurant week app portion was none too big. The crab cakes were good, with minimal filler, as they should be. They had some diced pepper in them, which my gf and I felt wasn't that great. We're both very much traditionalists about our crab cakes though, so some people may love them. The sauce they were served with was fantastic. My NY strip was also excellent, though I do have some complaints. On the menu it says "Broiled New York Strip 12oz" which says it's served with "shrimp & lobster sherry butter". I'm not sure where the shrimp and lobster come into play, because I got no hint of Amy seafood flavor in the butter. It was delicious, but I felt a bit shafted on the shrimp and lobster claim. I ordered it rare, and it came out medium rare, which isn't a huge deal, but I feel like a nicer steak house should be spot on with their steak temps. The desserts we got were both excellent. Service/general experience: When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted very pleasantly by the woman working the hostess stand. They assured us that our table would be ready in just a few minutes. While waiting, we were asked what my name was about 5 times in 2-3 minutes by 3 different people working at the hostess stand. Not a huge deal, but it started getting kind of annoying. My name isn't a tough one. We were seated in just a few minutes, and our server came to our table promptly. We each ordered a glass of wine, and were assured bread would be brought to our table. We received our drinks, and then ordered. Still no bread. Our server assured us that it was coming, but that it was being freshly baked. I can appreciate that, but I think bread should be available promptly when seated. It was 730 on a Saturday night, so I don't think they should have been so overwhelmed with the crowd that they simply couldn't keep up. My gf's salad came well before my appetizer, which again is something that shouldn't happen in a finer dining restaurant. The bread showed up after the salad and shortly before my appetizer. I have to admit that it was excellent bread, and definitely freshly baked, so there was some silver lining to the wait. My biggest grievances with my experience at Sullivan's was realized when our entrees showed up with no sides. I'm familiar with the ala carte concept, but I've also been to Flemings and Ruth's chris for restaurant week, and both of them include sides as part of the restaurant week deal. The menu didn't say anything about sides, so I kind of assumed that the sides were set instead of choosing them. Additionally, our server didn't mention anything about sides when ordering, which I would have thought she would have if they weren't included. Conclusion: food was very good, but the service was pretty unspectacular. I definitely didn't walk away feeling like I can't wait to go back there. I don't think it's a particularly great value, so the next time I'm looking to spend the money for a high end dinner, I'll go to Flemings or Ruth's Chris.

This place came highly recommended by a colleague that accompanied us on a business trip. I walked away disappointed in the 12 oz filet. The seasonings were very good, but something about the steak itself seemed lacking. It didn't seem to have that great char on the outside. It tasted the way I envision sous vide cooking of a good cut of meat. Certainly better than an Outback or something along that line, but not a great steak experience I'd expect from something of Sullivan's reputation. On the plus side the service was outstanding. Heather, the bar server hooked us up with turning on the heaters outside so we could smoke a few post-dinner cigars and single malt scotch. Even went so far as to prepare our cigars. Go for the bar and enjoy a great evening.

52$ for the "special"?????? Didn't realize when we ordered that the special was so expensive. Food was good, but wouldn't have paid that much if I had known how much it was before I ordered it. We got a kale salad as a side and the kale was tough and chewy.

Pretty good but not on par with Ruth's Chris or Morton's. Had the dry aged ribeye and it was far from tender or juicy. Kind of a let down for $58

Went to Sullivan's for restaurant week because the menu was really stellar compared to other options. My experience was overall very positive. I had the New York Strip as my entree and I enjoyed the garlic spread and overall seasoning for the steak. However, the quality of my steak was just not up to par with what I think a steakhouse should serve. I ordered medium well and the steak arrived slightly pink but very dry. It almost seemed as though my steak was not evenly cooked. My friend ordered the crab cakes and really enjoyed them. As an FYI, these are not Maryland style crab cakes. I had the flourless chocolate torte for desert which was very rich and a good way to top off the meal. Our server was pretty stoic during our time there which I attributed to the Restaurant Week crowd. To sum it up, although dining here was a positive experience, I was not wowed.

My fiance and I came here for dinner this past Saturday because we were in the area and craving steak. After reading some the reviews we almost didn't go in, but I was starving. The place itself wasn't stuffy like most steak houses so that was a plus. The portions were HUGE and the steak was cooked exactly the way I like it. I thought the steaks were well marbled and comparable to the bigger steak houses like Flemings. That being said it was still a little on the pricier side. What helped this place out was their excellent service. We were seated right away even though we didn't have any reservations. Andrew, our server, got everything we ordered correctly. He even got my water with a lemon wedge (I'm super particular about my water). So simple, but you dont know how many places screw that up. Recommended some great mixed drinks (although those were on the pricier side also). Anyways we ended up having a great night with good food and good drinks. What more do people want?

(03/20/2012) Decided to splurge with friends for no reason at all and we blew our wad on Sullivan's. They're the epitome of excess: portions, prices, flash. The price point and effort is like the Prime Rib (right down the jug of vodka marinated pineapple) without the class. Female hostesses/waitstaff had skirts so short they could've been belts, and decolletage enough for the Hooters across the street. Oldies lite rock faves (Blondie, Lionel Richie, etc.) piped uncomfortably loudly in the tall-ceiled echo-y dining room; place is not intimate, still very industrial and chain-like. Steaks were very good, best bet is plain piece of meat (22 oz Cowboy rib eye, 16 oz. New York strip); beefy, closely cooked to order. The rib eye was well-marbled, ordered medium-rare, a little too rare at the bone (it's hard to get a bone-in one right). These steaks were seasoned with coarse salt and cracked black pepper. The fancy stuff was superflous and somewhat salty: Filet Trio with gorgonzola-garlic butter, Oscar (Bernaise, asparagus, crab), bourbon peppercorn with fried onions. Escargots were as expected, tender, buttery, garlicky, slightly briny (sop up the snail juice with the bread in the basket, the bread on the side was too thin and stale). The salads were decent; Caesar somewhat bland, Wedge was basic fare, plenty of blue cheese crumbles, diced tomatoes were hothouse variety. Sides were definitely well-received; creamed corn (as expected, thick, savory, creamy, fresh corn kernels), "giant" baked potato (well-roasted skin, moist and fluffy interior), and horseradish mashed potatoes (needs more horseradish). Desserts were mostly plain Jane, but satisfying. Creme Brulee was the largest you have ever seen, obscenely so. I swear, it was 6 inches in diameter. Key Lime Pie was a tart, sticky, sweet, yellow custard (just like Key lime filling should be), odd whipped cream topping. Cocktails were delicious, but pricey ($11), wine list was extensive, marked up like crazy. Had a great tiime socializing and eating large pieces of red meat, could do that in many cozier places around town though.

A great experience. To break it down: - Pleasant decor. It pulls off the look of an "Old Rat Pack" kind of venue. - Service was peerless, from the bar, to the waiter, to the waitress in the outside lounge area. - Drinks were excellent - between two of us we had G&Ts, a Manhattan, and a few Blanton's. - Steaks were phenomenal, likely the best I've ever had. Had the bone in fillet which was cooked exactly to order, had a good sear/crust on the outside, and literally was soaked with flavor. That's sometimes a tall order for a fillet. - Very pleasant heated area outside to enjoy those Blanton's and cigars. - It's not priced like the Outback, but did you really expect it to be? Dinner for two including a couple drinks each, no dessert, was around $150, and I didn't begrudge a penny of it. All in all a perfect evening, and you won't hear me say that very often.

First time here, went the day after Valentines... Saturday night, had reservations and was seated promptly. Arrived early had a couple drinks at the bar which is nice and large with plenty if high tops with a live guitarist who was pretty good. Atmosphere is nice throughout and a great date spot, as they have many tables for 2. It is an energetic atmosphere not a quiet little place, if that's what you're looking for. Food was outstanding probably the best filet I've had, and I heard the guy behind me say that was the best steak he's had. Start with the cheesesteak egg rolls! Not sure why one of the previous reviews said the filet was bland. They have about 7 or 8 sauces and butters you can add to the steak at no charge. I chose the bourbon peppercorn and it was great a little on the salty side, but the filet just melted in your mouth. She had lobster stuffed shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops and said they were fantastic...I had to share my steak as well after she had a bite :( it's only $3 more for the 12oz over the 8oz so luckily I had plenty. To sum it up... great place would definitely go without it being a special occasion. Pricing is very fair and they have a larger menu with a lot of nice options unlike some steakhouses.

This place is known for their steaks. They are also known as a great place for business dinners, special celebrations, romantic date nights, etc. We had a group business dinner there and everyone was very impressed. The ambiance is nice. Comfortable seating - not too loud - good environment for conversation. The food was very good. Everyone's favorite item turned out to be the calamari appetizer. Strange considering this is a steak place. The calamari is served with a spicy thai chili glaze and is out of this world. The salmon special that evening was also very good - as was the filet "oscar" (topped with lump crab). Unfortunately, their featured sea bass entree was not as good as I'd hoped. Extensive wine list with options that will please nearly every palette and wallet. Our choice was a Layer Cake 2010 Melbec from Australia. Very good selection. The service was very good. Our waiter had a nice personality and made some great recommendations for our group.

After eating at St Elmo's steak house in Indy and having the best steak of my life, I am very hesitant about steak houses. So when my boyfriend said we were going to Sullivan's I wasn't exactly excited, but it definitely changed my mind after eating there. Our waiter recommended a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to go with my mushroom stuffed fillet. It turned out to be the perfect wine for my steak. My date had the KC Strip which was dry aged. We also ordered the calamari, which I never eat, but it smelled so good with this sweet and spicy sauce drizzled over it, that I had to try. It was like no other calamari I have ever tried and I had a couple more pieces after that. Our steaks came out cooked as we ordered. We shared the three cheese mac as a side and it was delicious. The service at Sullivan's was wonderful and I really believe that the server you get can either make or break your dinner. He didn't rush us, spoke with us about different wines, and make our experience wih Sullivan's even better. I would definitely recommend Sullivan's if you are in the downtown Baltimore area as a good place to get steak. I was extremely happy with the ambiance, the service was impeccable, and the steak was good - not the best I've had, but you shouldn't expect the best steak ever from a chain restaurant.

I've eaten twice now at Sullivan's. The first time made me an instant believer in their name - I took a date and it was a great experience, great food, at a good price. It was probably the best steak that I had in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. So, after that dinner date, I was raving about Sullivan's to all my friends and family. Being that they are right on downtown Pratt street and have locations around the country, I had a lot of confidence that I could rely on the experience. I took my mom and roommate there for a Sunday dinner. What I could say is that although everything was good. It wasn't that "Oh What A Feeling" that I had the first time. I ordered the KC Strip medium rare and it tasted a little dry, and the waiter was so-so. So while, I still recognize Sullivan's as a fantastic steakhouse with a beautiful piano bar and perfect for entertaining business guests or taking a date, the place loses a star for consistency.

Sullivan's mission statement: Poach the cream of the crop staff from neighboring Hooters, stuff them into black mini skirts with fishnet stockings, attract an inappropriately dressed tourist client base that is of the same ilk, pump jazz so loud it is difficult to conduct business or to hear your date, place advertisements at bus stops, and offer pricey mediocre chain steakhouse fare. When they franchized into charm city, the manager was quoted "We own Thursday nights". Yes Thursday happy hours WERE jammed with an attractive crowd when it opened, yes you can get rotgut $5 wines by the glass, and yes they offer sickly sweet $5 martinis no self respecting male would ever order. Apparantly, this is a recipe to attract an increasingly urban element. The preponderance of this new clientele has devolved to the point where a colleague saw a scary fist fight break out in the bar. I'll pass on business dinners where I have to factor a possible drive by into the evening.

Delicious! We got a fillet and the sea bass. Meat was tender and salty. Fish was amazing. Light, buttery, and flavorful. The sweet potato casserole was like candy with brown sugar crumbles on top. We went at 6 on a Saturday without reservations and didnt have to wait.

Went to Sullivan's for the first time on Valentine's Day 2013, on the recommendation of my parents. My boyfriend and I were insanely happy that we did! We like Ruth Chris and Flemings and Capital Grill, but Sullivan's may be our new favorite. The atmosphere mixed with ridiculously good food is hard to beat. Ruth Chris has outstanding food, but the atmosphere is so so stuffy, old world. Sullivan's is the modern steakhouse with unapologetic food and pretty good drinks. Had lobster bisque for appetizer, really good sherry base. The filet with gorgonzola/garlic spread for dinner which was out of this world. Good crispy sear on the outside and perfectly medium on the inside, lobster mac and cheese, horseradish potatoes on the side which were both great. My boyfriend had the ribeye which was also perfectly cooked. And to top it all off, dessert was a banana fosters bread pudding (UH-MAZING) and my boyfriend's key lime pie was to die for. We were so enamored with the dessert list that we decided to get an order of chocolate covered strawberries to go (It was Valentine's day after all lol). All in all, very impressed and is definitely our go to steak joint in Baltimore from now on.

My husband and I came in to Sullivans several nights ago for a nice night out. We didn't have reservations but we were looking for a great place to eat. We were able to get a table even though they seemed pretty busy. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops which were perfectly cooked and my husband had a ribeye. My husband liked the complementary sauce (I think peppercorn?) which allowed him to try something different. The food was good, but what really impressed us was the service. When we first sat down we were promptly greeted by our server Anthony. He was able to pair a bottle of wine with our meals and took an interest in our table. Our server kept our table clean and stocked with silverware. He was personable and had joked around with our table. The other servers/bussers kept our table watered and cleared our dishes promptly. The other workers seemed upbeat. We ended our meal with dessert which was also fantastic. The prices were somewhat high, but worth the dining experience. Parking was difficult to find but that's pretty universal downtown. We will definitely be back!

Great steaks! On a pricey side. We took our relatives from FL there and all 6 of us ordered different kinds of steaks and we all loved it! Only thing.. The receptionist/ waitress was dressed pretty skanky :/ it's a nice classy upscale place thn you see their waitresses in their skanky uniforms :/ kinda embarrassing when you take your family but overall our experience was great! Defi going bak!

I had a business dinner here. The food was good. My steak was ordered medium and cane back still mooing. I did have tonsend it back to cook some more but it was better the second time around. We had a small private room that came with a flat screen tv. It only can seat 4 people. The staff was good. They came by the table several times to make sure everything was ok. I would go there again. I do think th price was a little high for three people. They have valet parking as well. The bar is a good size and the staff was quick to serve.

This place is a bit pricey but they do offer a fixed meal for $39 that made it worth it! On a side note it doesn't look like they typically add the fixed menu insert to their normal menu so you have to ask for it! The fixed menu came with an app, salad, and a main course. I got Shanghai calamari as my app and these were delish! Im used to the normal flash fried way so the addition of the sweet chili sauce was something new and quite good! Also liked how you not only got the calamari rings but also some of the baby squid as well which most don't add. For my salad i got the Caesar salad, it was well a Caesar salad... nothing special, definitely will ask for dressing on the side next time... i prefer lighter dressing on my salad. My coworker did get the Wedge salad which she said was to die for and very fresh! Entree was filet medallions with Shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. All flavor wise was good but i went with a work group and we all ordered our steaks rare or med rare.... they all came out overcooked, overdone for the med rare and the rare steaks were all med to med well. We were heading to a show so couldn't wait for new steaks but couldn't help ourselves when the waiter asked how did everything come out! The manager came right to our table and was very apologetic, he comped a round of drinks and brought out some delicious cheesecake to try to make amends! That was already too much and we were very happy with how it was handled! To top it off before we left we were each given a $20 off coupon for our return trip! Will be back soon to give them a second chance especially with a manger that goes beyond the call of duty to make things right!

This is one of my all time favs! The food is delectable and the service is superb. I usually order steak, of course, but have ordered seafood dishes and been just as pleased. I love the private rooms with the TVs and John J. and his girlfriend are the best servers...although the entire staff is wonderful! They have a great bar area and good drink menu. I can't wait to go during warmer weather when I can sit outside. Definately on the top of my list despite the price tag.

If you want a good steak, DON'T GO HERE... I've had much better steaks at Outback Steakhouse for half of the price. If you want to pay this much money, just head on over to Flemming's/Morton's/Ruth Chris, and they'll give you something that is worth it. We ordered the strip and the rib-eye both medium-rare. However, one was rare, almost "mooing", and the other was almost a medium to a medium well. Besides it coming out wrong, the meat, itself, was not tender at all and our jaws hurt from all the excessive chewing. It felt like I was eating a piece of round chuck, seriously... I do not need to pay $36 for some round-chuck grade meat... However, on a brighter note... the wedge salad, lobster bisque and the desserts were good. That's about it... But how hard is it to mess up soup/salads and desserts which are probably not even made in-house? Exactly... Service sucked, too. ten minutes for the first table touch? and then another 10 minutes for her to come back and take dessert orders after the meal??? C'MON MAN!!! Horrible experience, never again. Lesson learned...

I went for Father's Day and had the New York Strip steak. I figured it's a steakhouse so if I order a typical medium NY strip there is no way to mess it up. Wrong. It was actually medium like I ordered but it was severely charred and that's all I could taste. I sent it back and they cooked another one. After about 15 minutes the new steak came out EVEN WORSE! I couldn't believe it. I ended up not eating dinner. I must say the service was excellent even though the food was not. Lauren was very nice, very apologetic, and offered me a free NY strip on my next visit but I don't think there will be a next visit. She claimed that there was a new sous chef and that's likely why the food was less than satisfactory. I did get a strawberry cheesecake on the house because of my experience, which was delicious. I'm not sure if I'd recommend this restaurant since they seemed to struggle with something so easy and common. The rest of the food was very good so they just need a new person cooking steak. I would give it 3 stars if it wasn't my first Father's Day.

Went here for V-Day 2011 and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent and attentive service. The location was also very convenient being right by the inner harbor. The steak I got was seasoned pretty well, however it tasted more like a TGI Friday's or similar quality (which is not a bad thing, but for the money it is).

On a recent Saturday night, the valet parking crew was extremely busy, with some resulting confusion and delay in getting our car situated. Once inside, we noticed that Sullivan's dining room is substantially smaller than those found at other Inner Harbor steak establishments. Nonetheless, the décor is plush and the service very prompt and friendly. The shrimp cocktail, rib eye and sides were also nicely done. While we're hard pressed to come up with any complaints or criticisms, the Capital Grille might be a better choice, given the fact that they seem to have a livelier, more spacious environment. They also provide complimentary valet parking ( versus $10 at Sullivan's). My second and third choices would be Ruth's Chris on Pier 5 followed by Flemings.

WOW! This place is awesome. Little on a pricy side but plenty of food. Filet Mignon was very well made. They have a 2 for $69 deal. selective choices but decent. Its worth the money. Its better to create reservation before going. Waitstaff is very attentive.

i had a good meal here. a GOOD, not GREAT, meal. which is a huge disappointment at the price you're paying. our waiter was very good - friendly, welcoming and seemingly knowledgeable. we asked for his recommendation on an appetizer and he suggested the "lightly-fried" calamari. and lost all credibility because that was some tgi-friday-caliber calamari. sure it was good, but if you deep fry something beyond all recognition and put some salt & sauce on it, how can you go wrong? my entree, the salmon, was HUGE. i'd rather have had huge flavor than 1 lb. of salmon. it was good but very overcooked. my boss got steak, asked for it medium-rare, and was served medium-well. we ate our dinners & enjoyed ourselves but would not return. the end.

Sullivan's Steakhouse- This good old American Steakhouse is classy with elegant dark wood finish, sleek sexy chairs, and yet serves the best down home cooking when it comes to tender juicy porter house steaks, filet mignon, awesome appetizers to tickle the hunger in you; succulent Rockefeller Oysters, Shrimp Cocktails, or if not into red meat there's the Australian Cold Water Lobster Tail, a variety of seafood from the Chef Seafood Selection Maryland Style, or client's favorite One Pound Alaskan King Crab Legs served with butter and lemon by request. You can't have a perfect steak meal without a glass or a bottle of reds. Sullivan's got the selection you want from bold, robust to fruity Shiraz if it's red wine to go with your meal you will be happy with their wine menu. If your more into mix drinks you might enjoy their watermelon, strawberry Kiwi, or the best "knockout" on the floor you go martinis, drink with moderation please let's keep this place classy just the way it was ment to be. Sullivan's Steakhouse is great for business lunches, happy hour meet ups, or a romantic dinner you can't go wrong if it's class, gourmet food, bold and juicy steaks, and a bar that knows what a good mix drink should be like, head to Sullivan's.

Went here. Last night to sample their famous pineapple martini. It gave me acid indigestion I was disappointed. Settled for vodka and seven as a second choice.. We only went here because we heard that the martinis were fab, I did not eat here so I cant atest to the food, I am sure it was pricey though --located on the harbor...........

We had my rehearsal dinner at Sullivan's and I would highly recommend for a rehearsal dinner or private event. I'm a big ambiance person and I thought the room was perfect for our 50 guests. Also the service the night of the rehearsal was excellent. The food was also delicious, I would recommend the filet and the chocolate cake.

Went to Baltimore on a mini vacation, with my husband. Our last night there we decided to go to Sullivan's not knowing what to expect. Everything was amazing from the decor, to the staff. The food was excellent ,not to expensive and they have a $39.00 meal option which gives you appetizer's or salad and an entree had the calamari and the cheese steak egg rolls delicious. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this establishment.

We arrived in Baltimore around 10:00 PM on a Thursday for a volleyball tournament that weekend. This place was "the only establishment within safe walking distance" of our hotel. Upon arrival we were not-so-politely asked by the hostesses to remove our hoodies and felt we were being judged the duration of our visit there. Not to mention, we watched some dudes walk in with hoodies and caps (neither were asked to remove). We ate off the bar menu (great deal!) and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The waitress said we would like it if we really enjoyed BBQ. *Dear Waitress, we are from Houston. Duh we like BBQ.* The BBQ quesadilla things were delicious, but I'm not sure I would equate them to down-home BBQ. If in Baltimore again, I will hit up their bar menu, but hopefully more appropriately dressed and prepared to impress.

(4.5) I came into Sullivan's prepared to be somewhat underwhelmed. Why you ask? I heard it was similar to Flemings, or a Ruth's Chris Light. In truth, I was floored by one of the better meals I have had in the last few months. Our party of 4 arrived around 645 pm this past Friday because we were catching a concert at 8 at nearby Rams Head Live. At 645 the place was totally packed! (good sign number 1). Our server (either Bethany, or Brittney I can't remember) was super accommodating to the fact that we had to get in and out inside of 40 minutes or so. In fact, we were able to have 3 courses in that timeframe, as well as a few rounds of drinks. I suppose I'll start there- the drinks. The girls had something called "The Knockout" which is an orange infused vodka drink that supposedly is infused for a period of 10 days. I'm not a vodka guy so I didn't try it but the ladies liked them I think. Beer wise they offer about 16 or so beers, all by the bottle. (Sidebar rant, why do places think its passe or whatever now to not offer draught beers? Especially places like Sullivan's that have an awesome bar setup.) OK rant over, on to the starters. All entrees come with a wedge salad, of good size, and even better taste. It was simply prepared, but delicious with blue cheese and diced tomatoes over a 1/2 wedge. Very fresh. Entree wise the ladies had petite filets which they both enjoyed. My friend had the lamb chops which were eloquently frenched. he said they were excellent. I had a slow braised pork shank that was outstanding. It literally fell off the bone, and was served on a buttery mashed potato bed. At +/- 22 dollars it was one of the cheaper entrees, and I thought an excellent value. We did not have time for dessert, or my customary post heavy meal espresso, but the dessert menu looked tempting. They also have a cigar lounge just past the bar (but with glass doors so as not to disturb others) that also would have made for a nice post dinner treat had we not been on a time crunch. Our service was excellent, despite our time restrictions. I wholeheartedly recommend Sullivan's as an excellent choice when dining in the inner harbor area, and will return again.

Having lived in Wilmington for 7 years, this was a familiar name, but it is the same as your typical chain steakhouse - Ruth's Chris, Flemings, Morton's. Their Thursday night special was always a hit in Wilmington with the business crowd and it did not disappoint in Baltimore. The bar was packed with lots of people in suits or dressed to impress. Overall, the wait staff was as quick as you can expect with a full bar. Be careful with leaving drinks on the bar, they are very quick to clear them away. On Thursdays, their martinis are $5 and bar menu 1/2 off. I tried a couple of the martinis - strawberry blonde and electric blue ... honestly, hate to be unoriginal, but the house drink, knock-out, had the best flavor. Wines and liquor are around $10-14 so it's worthwhile (price-wise) to get the martini. Guys - there were tons of men drinking martinis so don't be shy to order one of the "girly drinks." We got the bar menu as well: * wildfried shrimp - a huge plate filled with small deep fried shrimps - if you are expecting jumbo or medium size shrimps - none was to be found. Flavor was OK but overly salted. There were some fried jalapenos as well so that was probably my favorite part of this dish. * crabcake sliders (set of 3) - wonderful - just a perfect size - maybe 3-4 bites per slider. Highly recommend this. * steak with mushrooms and spinach - this was a huge shocker. I really thought that the portion would be small, but it was about a 4 oz with a decent bed of sauteed spinach and mushrooms. It was delicious and I asked for medium rare, and it came out medium rare. I am very curious to see how service and the food quality will uphold.

Not worth it. First experience on our anniversary, so maybe expectations were high, also we didn't want to complain and bring down the mood but... i had to say something the next day if only on yelp. First CEO martini, out of blue cheese stuffed olives, okay it was late but, come on in the entire restaurant, no blue cheese? In a steak house I think not, that would have 86 ed several menu items, more a case of bartender not wanting to stuff more. I was disappointed as was the nice gentleman next to me, who came in just for that. On to the food, we only had appeitizers but the other gentleman next to us ( not the one who wanted the blue cheese stuffed olive) ordered an amazing looking rack of lamb that set our mouths watering, only to learn at the end that it was over seasoned and overcooked as he told the bartender at the end. I'm still spitting out sand from my oysters:( Learned from our mistake. Dine elsewhere. Atmosphere was nice though and live jazz band.

Just a short review since it was a Sunday night happy hour and only the bar menu was sampled. Selected drinks and wine, including a great martini with blue-cheese stuffed olives are $5, and the limited, but fully featured bar menu at $5 per item, made it a great night for eating and drinking. The service was great, the burger was great, the wine was a nice pour, and of course those blue cheese olives. Too bad the special is only on Thursday and Sunday.

"Mediocrity" is the name of the game here. My friends and I wanted to celebrate the end of a trying school year and thought that Sullivan's would be perfect for the occasion. However, from the start, the service was awful even though it was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was sparsely populated. I got the "Filet Duxelle" which tasted grainy and chewy. My expectations were further aggravated due to the fact that it was $42. 2 of my friends who had the specialty dishes did not enjoy their respective dinners and the third one got a chicken Caesar salad, so how could a restaurant screw that up? All in all, I would not recommend it. I would definitely hit up Prime RIb--hell, even Outback, to be honest.

I had been to other Sullivan's before; but not Baltimore. The greeting was warm and efficient. We were quickly seated. The primary disappointment in the evening came at the moment of seating. The room is not worthy of the steaks. It may as well have been some second rate hotel's attempt at a steakhouse. The ambiance simply was a big miss; the lighting was too strong, the music too loud, the carpets/tables/fixtures were not of a high quality. The second miss of the evening was the service. We had a very eager and goodhearted waitress, but she clearly belonged at a TGI Fridays...not a higher-end steakhouse. Her voice was loud and her sentences filled with words such as "like", (i.e. "Like the steaks here are, like, really good"). The third miss was the food. The bread was stale (yet warm), the iceberg salads were nice and cold as they should be, but not prepared with the best toppings and finally the oysters were a bit mealy; some very mealy and nearly inedible Now on to the good parts... The steak and the wine. Top notch and reasonably priced. The steak, in particular, was simply phenomenal. My medium-rare strip was MR from the first bite to the last...which is not typical. Usually the end bites are fairly well done. Not here. It was perfect. The seasonings, straight salt & pepper, were also perfect. In the end, we might return because it is within walking distance of where we live and because the steaks were so good. We'll just need to adjust our expectations in terms of ambiance and order just the steaks & the wine.

Went to Sullivan's for happy hour with some friends last night and it was GREAT! They have their signature drinks on special which were incredible (let's just say we left very happy) and the food was better than we hoped. Our waitress, Nicole, was so attentive and personable and the environment was relaxed with a diverse crowd--everything from folks grabbing a bite before the game to people coming straight from work. Happy Hour goes all night on Thursday and they have live music starting at 7pm, definitely will be going back--I recommend you do the same!!

The food was awesome and plentiful. This included the mixed green salad, 8 oz. filet mignon, baked potato and bananas foster bread pudding. The price was not bad either with their summer special 2 for $79. What killed the meal was the excruciating time it took to get each course. We arrive at about 7:20pm and did not leave until after 10pm. There were a few apologies along the way but 45 minutes to get your dessert is inexcusable.

My fillet mignon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My martini was perfectly balanced and accompanied by hand stuffed bleu cheese olives (though the glass was not chilled, but actually warm.... Big no-no). The service was excellent, even on a busy night. What's not to love?

Went for our Anniversary, my husband and I have been to every steak place in the city, had to try this place out. We showed up 30 mins before reservation but they were ready to seat us, I really wanted a martini in the bar and listen to the live jazz...drink was awesome and band great!!! We got sat at a great table over looking restaurant, waiter was so kind and fun. We had the seafood tower for appetizer, everything was so fresh and big and tasty! Crab meat on top acacados was my fav! I can only eat so much so we split a cowboy steak which I never had before, WOW! Steak was amazing, juicy, cooked med rare to perfection, not too much butter or salt, it was the best steak I've had in Baltimore, and trust me, we have tried them all! We also ordered sautéed mushrooms which were fantastic along with asparagus. They were fresh just enough crunch and not smothered in fat. Didn't have room for dessert, but they gave us a complimentary one for our Anniversary. Service was impeccable and let me tell you, we will be back very soon!!!

I just returned home from Sullivan's with my girlfriend, and it was spectacular to say the least. If you want to have a great birthday dinner, Sullivan's is the place. They make it a truly special event at no extra cost. You will find yourself repeating the word "phenomenal" throughout your meal. The best Oysters Rockefeller and escargot I've ever had. The rib-eye was to die for. The filet mignon topped with Gorgonzola butter was mouth watering. Wait a second. I forgot to mention the best part...THE SERVICE. Our server's name was Joe, and he could not have been more courteous, cool, and on point. He was neither intrusive nor neglectful. He has truly mastered the art of fine dining serving. At times I felt like I was between dimensions in a state of pure harmony. The food, service, and ambiance are of the highest caliber and balance. A+++++ for Sullivan's!

Chose this restaurant for its 2 for $69 summer 3 course special ! Very happy we did!!! Sat in the dining room which was an excellent choice a the bar was hopping and loud. Service was excellent, food was the tops! No complaints from this couple! We had steaks for our main entrée and were not disappointed at all with our dining experience!! If we were locals this would be a place to frequent!

Went here for restaurant week... Sadly enough the service was beyond slow and the place was half full. My steak was undercooked..Way undercooked, but I waited so long to get my food I didn't care to send it back. Sides were decent, I ate half of my mashed potatoes because the other half was bloody from my steak that was supposed to be medium well. Strangely enough, the highlight of my meal was the shrimp and lobster bisque and the bread. Because the price was low, I really didn't care to complain, but if it's a steakhouse it seems like they would be better prepared for restaurant week customers.

Sullivan's sent me an email for their Hot Summer Nite event September 4, which was their happy hour priced drinks and bar menu items priced at $7 each, live music and the theme of a white night,, which encouraged everyone to wear white as a farewell ode to summer. We arrived and took advantage of their valet parking ($10 until midnight). We entered and headed to the bar area, which was decorated with white garland and paper lanterns. Our server, Juliet, was gracious as she welcomed us. As she proceeded to take our order, she informed us of the $7 bar food and drink specials. I asked her to make a suggestion as to which drink we should order and she suggested the Tennessee Mule, which was Jack Daniel's whiskey, lime juice and ginger beer served over ice in a copper mug. I told her l wasn't a beer drinker, but she assured me the drink didn't have a "beer" taste and the ginger would enhance the taste of the drink. Well, when er got our drinks and took a sip, it was all that she said and more. The whiskey and ginger combo was refreshing and the lime accent made for a well rounded drink. We also order cheesesteak egg rolls, saracchi shrimp and the garlic meatballs in a mushroom ragout topped with melted fontina cheese. They were all very good, especially the meatballs. As l don't have an affinity for mushrooms, l kindly moved them to the side while enjoying the savory ragout and fontina cheese that covered the meatballs. The ambiance was nice and the live guitar player added a nice touch to the evening. The manager, Gregory, who was very pleasant, came around to every table, asked how our service and evening was going and presented us with a voucher for a free appetizer ( up to $16 value) for us coming out to patronize their establishment. As the happy hour only occurs on Thursdays and Sundays, l enjoyed this end of summer event and will be visiting Sullivan's again in the future.

I went to Sullivan's for a nice Monday lunch. There were a few large parties but no issue getting a table for two. I ordered the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes that came with it were rich and flavorful. I ordered it with a side market salad; the side salad was almost a meal on its own but was good! I also had the 50/50 drink - iced tea with mint lemonade. Not too sweet but good if you want something refreshing. Overall it was a good pick for steak!

The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. That was the main thing. If you want a great steak, I don't think you can go wrong here. My two buddies and I got the rib eye. The mac & cheese and other sides are also delicious. Definitely room to share the side dishes. Service was standard, maybe on the slow side considering the place was relatively empty. Decent wine list for all tastes and budgets. Price is high, but that was expected. Honestly, I will not be back because there are better steak houses in the city that are at that price point or lower.

First time here during Restaurant Week. Have to say, probably won't ever come back. The only reasons this place is not getting two stars is because our actual waitress was nice, and the steak was fantastic. We arrive and sit outside after speaking to someone inside and waited a good 25 minutes before seeing anyone else. We were about to get up and walk out when our waitress showed up. Granted, it was a busy night, but that did not start the meal off well. While we waited for our food, we were served our drinks and my friend ordered a sprite. A server rushed by and said we would be served bread while we waited. He came out with a fresh loaf of bread and served it to the table beside us. We NEVER received the bread he spoke of at all. The same server filled my friend's glass of sprite with WATER. An honest mistake, and easy to fix so we thought nothing of it until it happened AGAIN about 25 minutes later. He tried shrugging it off saying, "I'll fix this like it never happened." and of course I retorted "Except it happened twice now." No apology but at least it didn't happen again. I ordered a caesar salad with 3 croutons and a pile of lettuce. My friend ordered the bisque soup, which was a bit watery. As we ate, people with bread beside us lit a cigar, which furthered ruined our dining experience as we coughed from the smoke. I strongly urge this place to have a smoking & non smoking section outdoors since this really made a bad dining experience worse. Finally our dinner came, and the steaks were amazing. The sides didn't have much flavor at all but you could easily forget it with each bite of the steak. The desserts were okay. This place is so expensive and for that kind of dining experience, it is not worth it at all.

I recently dined at Sullivan's with friends and had a very positive experience. Our service was relatively attentive and the entrees each of us ordered were very nicely presented. The drink prices were a bit steep, but they were good. I had the broiled salmon with was nicely portioned and cooked perfectly. Our server really endorsed the chocolate torte so I decided to try it. It was a generously sized piece of cake, and I felt it was a better choice not to eat the entire thing. Overall, we all enjoyed the experience and I'd likely return. It would have been nice if our seating had been less awkward--the three of us seated at a half circular booth of some sort and I think a table would have made a lot more sense. Aside from that, I'd recommend Sullivan's as one of the better steakhouses in the city.

I absolutely loved my Food. Went for Brunch and my meal was exceptional. For $35 per person it is A great Deal and Ideal for any occasion that you are celebrating on a Sunday. The drinks were Dope and our Service even Doper... Just made up a word---- Nevertheless Will be returning for dinner or a late lunch sometime soon.

I work right across the street from Sullivan's, so it had always been one of those, "oh yeah, I've got to remember to check them out one day" restaurants for me. I finally decided to give them a go for Restaurant Week, and boy was I pleasantly surprised with how great my meal actually was. I figured it was a nice place, but that the Restaurant Week menu would be pretty... meh, so I had prepared myself for a decent meal, but nothing spectacular. I was completely wrong. Shrimp and Lobster Bisque, 12oz New York Strips, 8oz filet mignon... The menu was phenomenal for such an awesome price point. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and seasoned absolutely gorgeously. It complemented the horseradish mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies perfectly. Their Bananas Foster is extremely decadent, and perfect for two to share. I'd definitely go back and pay full price for such quality. All in all, awesome meal.

PAN-SEARED SEA BASS "HONG KONG STYLE" Baby Bok Choy & Sherry-Soy Glaze is the best sea bass I have experienced. If you have a chance to be in Baltimore MD, don't miss this dish and the crab cakes. Crab cake in this area is the best in the country. You won't find this good of the crab cakes any where else!

If you're a steakhouse, I would assume that your restaurant lives and dies on its ability to cook a steak. Came here for Restaurant Week with several friends, and general consensus was that the best thing about the visit was the fact that it was cheap. Personally, for what we got, I still think we were ripped off. Unfortunately, the appetizer was the highlight of my meal. The bisque was actually decently palatable. The steak that I got on the other hand, came out unevenly cooked and undercooked to boot. I wasn't about to wait another half hour for them to redo the steak, but I did find it interesting that three of the other eight people in my party got their orders cooked improperly. I mean, 50% isn't that bad, right? Sides weren't too well done, as expected of a steakhouse, but the lackluster steak made the experience even more unpleasant. The wait staff, while friendly, seems to also share the spaciness that the kitchen exhibits, and wasn't very attentive to our table. Really wish I could have one really redeeming thing to say. I really don't like the reputation that most restaurants in the Inner Harbor are overpriced ripoffs for tourists, but this experience really reinforces that point. I'm sincerely hoping this was a one time fluke.

First time visit. Drinks are lackluster and not tooped off. For the price thats a disappoint. Cheesesteak eggrolls are great but I wouldn't order them in edition to an entree. Its a great bar idea though. Kale salad is amazing while ceasar salad is average. The cowboy bone in ribeye was SUPERB!! Best ever. Overall great dining experience however the sides, drinks and dessert need to catch up to the steak. Everything was average but the steak. Give them a try though, I don't think you will be disappointed!

I went here for dinner on a weekday night, so it was not very busy (yay, no lines). The venue is nice. They have a bar with live music to the left, and a much more peaceful and traditional dining room. As a person who likes to be able to hear what someone is saying, I would recommend the dining room. Our waitress reminded me of a high school cheerleader with her bubbly personality and an eagerness to please. We indulged in their signature Knockout martini and the Peach Bellini cocktail. The Bellini masks a lot of the alcohol taste, and the pineapple flavor is extremely strong in the Knockout. We started with shrimp&lobster bisque and the Shanghai calamari which was amazing! The bisque is pretty standard. I got the 8 oz filet mignon and my friend got the 12 oz. I got medium well for filet, but I guess medium suits it better. The filet mignon at Fogo de Chao is comparably juicier and tender. The new york strip was pretty good, but it's interesting that they don't add any flavoring to their steaks (you can get an additional sauce. I got the bordelaise and was not a fan). Their horseradish mashed potatoes on the other hand were quite epic. The horseradish taste is not overpowering (so it's like lightly wasabi-tinged potatoes), and the potatoes were very very creamy. Nom nom nom.

Came to Sullivan's Steak House for my 8 Year Wedding Anniversary.. The service here was top notch.. Ordered from the Prix Fix Menu. Each food item was just as delicious as the next.. Started off with a Lobster Bisque and my wife had the Caesar Salad.. Next course.. Shrimp Cocktail and my wife had the Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls. Main course.. I had the New York Strip which was amazing.. So delicious.. I can still taste it Right Now. My wife had the Filet Mignon which was also delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.. Great location at the Inner Harbor...

Nice restaurant week menu: 3 course for $30. Friend and I arrived earlier than reservation and still got in. Steak was wonderful. Drinks are pricey. Service was questionable (they forgot us between or second and third course), which is why I'm talking away one star.

Notice the sure thing menu including 3 course prix fixxe (appetizer, soup or salad and entrée ). Shrimp cocktail had 3 nice size perfectly cooked shrimp. Shrimp and lobster bisque delicious. Steak perfectly prepared to my liking and substituted vegetable for starch. All great for $42. Also happy hour in bar area for $7 house wine (shiraz) which was good!

Sullivan's was very nice! I went there for a staff dinner back in December and was very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and enjoyable. Here is what I like and did not like about Sullivan's: Dislikes: 1. The waiter we had two one was very rude. Maybe he was tired or had a long day idk but, it kind of ruined the mood. 2. The wait for the food was a little long especially because we had pre order our food weeks ahead. Likes: 1. The food was amazing! I had the chicken, asparagus, and au grate potatoes! For sure a must have. 2. Dessert was even better. I had the apple crumb which I'm not sure if they still have but was good also! 3. I love how there is valet right there ! It's also very reasonably priced! Note: I would recommend for special occasion, corporate party, happy hour and couples date.

Just arrived in Baltimore for first time from LA, beautiful city but unfortunate timing for the city and Conf I am at. Saved my meat points for a good steak dinner and was not disappointed here. KC strip, skip the peppercorn sauce though pretty insipid, five people in restaurant that would normally be filled on a Sat night near inner harbor. But service just as God, thanks Terrence and Adam. Great carnivore red wine to go with steak Postscript. I hosted. Dinner for 30 people last night based on my first experience and was additional impressed by their large group service and accommodation of my budget and needs. Meghan was great to work with on this less than 24 hr notice. Derek Christina and Tyler smoothly delivered flawless service to our physician dinner group.

We've been here a few times. Our first visit was during restaurant week. It was so good we can back again, several times. Delicious food. Attentive service. Nice atmosphere. We will be back. A little pricey but it makes for a well-paced and enjoyable dinner date night.

Salmon was cooked perfectly medium rare. I ordered a side of spinach and potato gratin. The description for the potato gratin should of said it was cooked with bacon because I don't eat pork. That would of been the only down fall. A slice of cheese cake and a cappuccino topped the night. I recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back next time I'm in the area

I've been here quite a few times. I've celebrated New Years, Mother's Day, and love just to name a few visits. The service is fast. The cocktails are good. The steaks are disappointing for a steakhouse. I had to send my steak back twice on separate occasions. On this particular trip my waitress acted as if we didn't know what balsamic vinaigrette was or Syrah. She flat out told me I wasn't going to like Syrah, I didn't even tell her what I like so I don't know how she came to that conclusion. I had to remind her to bring me the wine menu. I like the atmosphere. They have ample bar seating which is nice, a formal dining room, and outside seating. I normally gravitate towards the outside or bar seating. There is normally a wait for the dining room. Only down fall about sitting outside is the the smokers.... Other than that I like them because they have a pretty decent menu and the dessert is really good! I'd say try this place out for yourself. Sullivan's also has a good selection of wines.

So, I finally decided to come back 2.5 years after my initial review. The food was much better. The only thing I don't recommend is the wedge salad as it was extremely soggy. However, my filet, calamari, creamed spinach and cheesesteak egg rolls were great.

I came here for lunch during restaurant week. The space is very large with a generous bar and dinning room. The kitchen is semi-open and wall of windows make it bright. I had a reservation but probably didn't need it. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and NY strip. The soup was good in terms of flavor but could have used some more crab. The steak would have been perfect if I had ordered it medium-well or well done, but I didn't so it was overcooked. It reminded me of a plated dinner at a conference or wedding. A mediocre steak with pretty good potatoes and sauce. My friend has invited me to happy hour here many times and I may go but I don't think I want to try for lunch or dinner again.

OMG! BEST SERVICE AND FOOD WAS AMAZING. First things first. 1. Service was on point. Our server Raven was friendly, helpful and genuinely. A sweetheart. 2. Cheese steak egg rolls- To die for. 3. Cleanliness 10. 4. We both had the Surf and Turf. Steak was huge and cooked a perfect medium rate. The lobster was fresh and delicious 1/2 lbs. 5. potatoes with cheese and Brussels sprouts with bacon yum yum and more yum. 6. For dessert our waitress brought me a complimentary piece of Strawberry Cheesecake. It was the very best cheesecake I have ever had. our meal and tip was around 220.00 for two people. The portions were huge. We also enjoyed a cup of shrimp Basque that I forgot to mention which was definitely a Maryland recipe. LOVED THIS PLACE! This was my second visit and I'm already planning my 3rd. 10 stars

We went here on a late Saturday evening. We started off a little slow, but could tell that they were very busy and we were willing to be patient. After we ordered, we got our drinks and the live music started. It was a little loud, but very pleasing to the ears. When our steak came, they accidentally prepared me a rib eye instead of the NY strip I had ordered. It was in fact delicious and I was happy for the mix up. They went out of their way to make sure everything was prepared correctly. Katie, our server was delightful. Very diligent, very understanding, and very personable. She really made our whole night. This was a wonderful experience and we can not wait to go back.

I was surprised by my girlfriend on 2/13 was impressed by the atmosphere and ambiance. We were seated in one of the side rooms which had a great view of downtown Baltimore. There was another table in the room so it was a very intimate setting, which works for me. Our waiter, who I believe was Matthew gave us decent service but compared to the couple seated at the other table in our section, we felt like peasants. It seemed like he went above and beyond the call of duty to establish a connection with them (who happened to be a managing partner at a law firm) and even suggested that they request him next time they returned. In contrast, our service from the waiter was impersonal. The manager did stop by a few times to check on us, which was great. I ordered a ribeye steak and a baked potato. The steak was pretty good, could have been seasoned more but the cajun butter I requested made it great. Overall, I think Sullivan's has a prime location with a great atmosphere and good food but they have to take the extra step to make sure everyone has a magical experience instead of focusing on the people who appear to be high rollers.

Service was good, as I sat at the bar. They had live music Saturday night. (One guy.) The gnocchi was good and filling. I realize this is a chain, pretty consistent for any city at Sullivan's. Expensive, but usually tasty food.

We had the rare occasion to have a double date night without kids this weekend. Sullivan's was the first stop of our night and we are glad that it was. The place is beautiful kept immaculate. Matthew was our server and was quite professional and knew the menu very well. He and the chef made sure that the one member of our group that had an allergy was taken care of and still had many dishes to choose from. One of the chefs (Joey) even came out to check on us. From the great smile on the host at the door to the manager checking in on us, everything was perfect. They truly made us feel like rock stars!

Incredible meal at Sullivan's last weekend. The shrimp wrapped with bacon was fresh and tasty. The filets were also a good choice! The staff was extremely professional and friendly. Our server Shane was helpful in explaining the menu, which was appreciated. The hostess, I think her name was Laura, came around greeting all the patrons and making sure all their needs were attended to, which is a nice touch. Very comfortable dining area and busy bar scene for Oriole fans drowning their sorrows after a tough loss. Definitely want to return. Great job by the staff and chef.

What a great place to relax and dine. All of the staff were friendly from check in to check out. The decor is swanky and elegant. The food did not disappoint. Really loved the Shanghai calamari appetizer, and my filet was cooked to perfection. The location is conveniently located next to the Hyatt where I stayed, which made all the difference in freezing weather!

I ordered the kale salad to start with. I was a little disappointed the chef had not done the age-old method of massaging the kale before dressing it. They just plopped fresh-from-the-fridge kale on the plate and served the dressing on the side. Ho hum. I ordered the salmon entrée with tarragon butter, which was very good overall. The citrus tarragon butter might as well have been invisible (I wish the calories were too), as it was barely noticeable to taste. But the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the crab hash underneath it was pretty good. For the price, I expect the effort to be slightly better to be honest.

Last night were served by Crystal and she couldn't have been more amazing! Thank you for being the best at what you do! And shot out to the manager Matt who was very hospitable and made our experience even more memorable. Now the food as always was spot on delicious. Filet Mignon, cheese steak egg rolls, garlic meatballs, kale salad, salmon were all memorable and I would order again. I heard the shrimp and lobster bisque was to die for. It was a great evening and because we got there close to closing time, some of our food came out together but Krystal properly set our expectations and we were completely OK with it. I love this restaurant! !

Came here after my Dad's retirement cocktail hour party. We already had some drinks and appetizers at the party so we all decided to get the 3 course pre fixed menu for $39. We arrived just before 8pm and the place was over half empty with most of the patrons sitting in the bar, listening to live music. If your restaurant is half dead at 8pm on a Friday night, something is lacking. First course: calamari and shrimp cocktail. Pretty hard to screw up 3 cold shrimp laid on a bed of shaved iced and cocktail sauce. The calamari was tossed in a sweet chili sauce and hit the spot. Second course: Caesar salad, lettuce wedge, and french onion soup. I didn't try the caesar, but it looked pretty standard. Again it is something that is hard to screw up. I'm not the biggest fan of bleu cheese, but the wedge was delicious. On the other hand, the french onion soup was not. The soup had about an inch of cheese molded together and some torn up bread thrown in the broth. It was disgusting and I was very disappointed. Third course: We all ordered the filet mignon that came with mashed potatoes. If I ignore how salty it was, the steak itself still did not meet expectations. Think more Outback and less fancy steakhouse. Service was pretty good. The waiter was a little goofy, but the rest of the staff were quick to clear plates. I would eat here again, just never on my own dime. Sullivan's should take a lesson from Capital Grille.

Great decor... live music. Egg rolls way over cooked, soggy asparagus and a medium rare steak that came med well... dissappointing. Friendly staff. Will not return.... they should take the word steakhouse out of their name.

We were a little hesitant choosing a place with only 3 stars. However, it was the Friday before the Army/Navy game and Sullivan's was the only place we could get in. The physical space is nice, the food was average and the staff seemed disjointed. This place gets a 3 because they don't have to work for it - I suspect on any game day (Orioles, Ravens, etc.) they would be packed no matter what.

I was debating on whether I should give them 4 or 5 stars, but I really don't have anything to complain about. From the time we walked in until the time we left, everything was pretty perfect. I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was awesome. We were waiting for the New Edition concert to start, and decided to grab something to eat. My friend came to Sullivan's for a wedding reception years ago, and recommended we go. Great choice. We did the prix fixe menu, so we could try a few things. She had shrimp cocktail, market green salad, and salmon with asparagus. I had the calamari, caesar salad, and filet with mashed potatoes. Everything was AWESOME. That steak was so tender and done perfectly. That salmon made me wish I ordered it instead. I'm not a huge calamari fan, but it was delicious. A little sweet with some spice...perfect. The salads and shrimp cocktail were just that...so nothing really to rave about, but still good. For drinks, we had blueberry lemon drop, red over heels, two ketel one lemon drops, and 2 lemon drop shots. LOL Everything tasted great. Not too strong, which was good because we still had to be ready for NE. For dessert we had the chocolate cake. Not my favorite, but still very good. The icing on the cake was the live music. Austin Ellis sang his butt off. I believe he was on The Voice. He covered a few genres of music and did the artists proud. I will definitely be making my way to Bmore to visit Sullivan's again. That was a great beginning to an even better evening.

Great bar atmosphere with live band on Wednesday night. Place on light street/Pratt...in case your walking and see sign by bus stop...keep walking past Kona grill to light street. I had the fixed menu for restaurant week; shrimp cocktail (fresh, perfectly chilled), wedge salad(blue cheese crumbles were best I have ever had), filet with cajun butter was cooked perfect and tender! Great experience, will be back. Not surprised this place is part of the Del Frisco's group as it is high quality experience...very pricey menu but worth every bite.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Baltimore inner harbor for our anniversary weekend and decided to make reservations here for our anniversary dinner. Best decision we made. Phenomenal service, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere. Everything about our experience was amazing. For the people on here who say that the people who love this place must have never enjoyed a good steak you're dead wrong. I have dined at Bryant and Coopers, Morton's, and Ruth Chris. This streak house is defiantly on par. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were amazing as well as the garlic horseradish mashed potatoes. I would go again if I could.

This place was great and low key. The inside is charming and their was a jazz band playing on a Saturday night. The waitress and manager were very accommodating. I ordered the lobster which was enormous and the waitress prepared the lobster in front of me by cutting up the shell. I ordered a few shots of Louis-XIII and some Dom P. Great place to eat and chill at.

This was our second visit to Sullivan's after a horrific experience the first time. We were invited back because our first trip was marred by poor service due to under staffing. The was good enough to give it a second go, and the management staff at Sullivans promised us a better experience if we returned in the future. That being said, our experience this time was much different. The restaurant was adequately staff (and it was a busy night due to a Ravens game the next day), the service was exceptional and as I stated before the food was excellent. Based on our visit this time, we will certain return again in the near future.

Absolutely lovely evening! The restaurant was pretty empty, but it was the Tuesday before Christmas. Our food was fabulous. The New York strip was perfectly seasoned and cooked to a spot on medium rare. My boyfriend's cowboy cut rib eye was also delicious! Our waiter was funny and just the right amount of attentive. I can't wait to come back again!

Excellent food, excellent customer service. Hard to find this combination, especially on a warm spring Saturday night that also happens to be a popular graduation/prom night AND Preakness! Derek (waiter) was fabulous and so knowledgable. I'd been here before and recommended that my friend and I visit and she loved it! Derek recommended his favorites, most of which my friend ordered. They even comp'd two desserts. We were stuffed and so happy. We will be back very soon with the rest of our girls.

From the name you know they're well known for steaks. They also do an excellent job with seafood. I started with their clam bisque (not chowder). For appetizers we had the spring rolls and calamari. Their wine list is extensive. For dinner I had the salmon and crab. Portions are very reasonable. Not huge, but satisfying. My colleague ordered the small ribeye and couldn't finish more than half. My only comment was that during a business meal, the waiter was overly attentive. In most cases that's great. In this case, I felt as though we were being rushed. I won't hold that against them or the restaurant. They did a great job.

First, the service. It was a very busy convention night and we showed up with 7, not the reserved 6. After some consternation they sat us in a quiet corner at a round table - don't know how they managed to scramble so fast. Then, the waiter was patient, quick, and correct in delivery. Next the food: everyone loved their choice and all plates were clean at the end. Veggies not overdone, meat and seafood cooked just as requested. Filets, salmon, ahi tuna, macadamia nut chicken. All moist and good sized. One desert shared by the table was excellent: bananas foster bread pudding. Other tables had fantastic looking choices and we're happy. Finally: separate checks and all correct. We felt like we got good value even though it' snot an inexpensive place.

I chose Sullivan's as my dining destination for my Birthday and had a really nice time. My Mother was my dining companion for my special day Dinner. The first choice was what we would have to drink. I chose Flying Dog Brewery's Raging Bitch Belgian-Style IPA, which was tasty and fab. My Mother opted for Iced Tea. We both started out with the Kale Salad which was very nice featuring candied walnuts, dried cranberries & feta. For our entrees, I chose the Dry-Aged New York Strip while my Mother chose the Filet Mignon. My Strip was tasty and had a nice, dark seasoned coating. It was satisfying. My Mother said her Filet was good. Our sides, the Three-Cheese Mac & the Mushrooms were good and tasty. I really liked them. For Dessert, which you get complimentary if it is your Birthday, I ordered the S'mores Mousse Cake. It was wonderful with the Chocolate ganache, marshmallow cream and finely-grated graham cracker crust. That one's a winner. My Mother had the Warm Chocolate Cake, which she said she enjoyed. The staff was very welcoming. Our server, Stephanie, did a very good job and was efficient. The Manager, who introduced himself as Joe, seemed genuinely concerned that each guest had a good time and was pleased. Another Manager, whose name escapes me, was also personable and welcoming. I was impressed with the Managers. Other servers/employees we encountered were just as nice. All in all, it was a good Birthday Dinner and pretty memorable, too (we stayed 3 hours). I with no doubt recommend it.

My girl and I had a blast at Sullivan's. Our server was great, and stressed to us that we could stay as long as we liked. Will definitely come again! Steak was great, wine was great, atmosphere was great. Not stuffy, like other steakhouses!

Food was good! Steaks were a 5 out of 10. Could have been juicier for my taste. It lacked flavor and was dry. Got the cheesesteak egg rolls and they were to die for... But the second batch had a lot of gristle and fat. My only verbal complaint to my server and she did nothing about it. Overall, good atmosphere and decent food minus the awesome tasting cheesesteak egg rolls (full of fat and gristle). A bit pricey for the quality of food at a named steakhouse. My last visit - I think.

Went to Sullivan's Saturday night for the first time. Great atmosphere, food, service and live music. It doesn't get any better. I sat at a high top in the bar. Our server Crystal was phenomenal. The 8 oz filet was fantastic, and very reasonably priced for the quality. You have to try the wedge salad is amazing. There was an acoustic guitarist for a little entertainment ,but was not overwhelmingly loud. If your looking for top quality ,a fair price, and a great atmosphere Sullivan's is the spot for you.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Baltimore for the Packers game and decided to go out for a nice steak dinner the night before. We both love steakhouses and have tried our fair share. We decided to try a new place since we were in a new city, unfortunately we chose here. We went here based on the reviews which, I am sad to say, are very misleading. Maybe the people giving good reviews haven't been to many steakhouses or they have just had lackluster steaks and sides their whole lives. I will get to my critique of the food momentarily but first I will highlight some good things. The ambiance was great, nice decor and lighting and there was a live musician who was awesome all night. That's it for the good stuff. Bad Stuff: First of all this place is hard to locate because the address takes you to the side of a building with the Sullivan's sign but no entrance....not a huge biggie but be aware it is around the corner, not where the sign is. We love to get martinis when we go to steakhouses but sadly here they were not great at all. We each tried two different ones, both nothing special and seemingly light on alcohol which is not what you want for a $10 beverage. I ordered a filet (medium) and he ordered a filet (medium) topped with crab meat, as well we got scalloped potatoes and mashed potatoes (we love potatoes). Mine was cooked well but was very bland....I had to use A1 to even enjoy it....never a good sign at a steakhouse. My guy's was overcooked, no pink at all, and also quite tasteless. The mashed potatoes were really good but the scalloped potatoes were not so great which was a huge let down. We ordered this exact meal at Ruth's Chris and Flemmings multiple times and it was hands down way better than here. For a meal that costs over $150 for two people don't go to Sullivan's....stick with Ruths Chris or Flemmings or try another place.

We went there on Saturday night and it was 6 of us. I have to say, we really enjoyed everything we had. The appetizers were great, cold stone crabs that were big and meaty, steak and cheese rolls that were very tasty and crisp nice calamari. The salads were fresh and nice and we all had steaks of one kind or another. All were cooked perfect and were very nice and loved the finishing butters. Even all the side dishes were great, especially the Brussels sprouts and the au gratin potatoes. So why am I only giving it three stars? I asked if they were prime steaks and I was told that they are so good that you can't tell the difference from a prime steak. I believe that may be true but the thing is, they are charging Prime pricing. I have actually had really good choice ribeyes at Outback as well and didn't have to drop a couple hundred to do it. If you charged me Outback prices I would tell you this place was phenomenal but you charged me Ruth Chris prices and for that price the steak damn well better be prime, even if you don't think I can tell the difference. The other thing I was not crazy about was the long line for valet, after 10 minutes of waiting I dropped off my fellow diners and parked myself. You should have enough people scheduled to handle a Saturday rush.

WOW, this place was really impressive! One of the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to. Our group of 8 were in a private room to the side which was closed off, so we had our own waiter and felt really special. It was much quieter in our room, which was nice. The food was amazing! The crispy Shanghai calamari was a unique and fresh twist to your plain old calamari. Its sweet chili glaze worked really well and the crushed peanuts gave it a nice nuttiness. The spinach salad was very delicious because of the bacon dressing - bacon really does make everything better! I got one of the steak specials that night that featured 3 different cuts and sauces, and they were all amazing. A typical steak is about $40 here, but so worth it once in a while. The creme brulee was okay but I got bored of it after a while because it was so big. Needs to be shared =) Overall, a great, pampering experience!

We dined at Sullivan's on 3-22-14 and I was EXTREMELY impressed with this experience. We held a function here last year and enjoyed that experience but we didn't get a chance to experience the dining area. First let me say that I have dined at some of the finest and most expensive restaurants in the Baltimore and DC areas (check out previous reviews) and I am not easily impressed. Sullivan's provided the ultimate in dining for us. This experience was as close to perfect as you can get.... No...it was PERFECT!!!!! It started with the bread they served originally. It was absolutely wonderful!!! (I wish I knew the receipt!). The appetizer was steak tex-mex eggrolls. My God!!!! They were good!!! They should serve these as an entrée!! Then.... I had my usual.....the Fillet Mignon. I have had steak at the Palm, the Prime Rib, Smith and Wollensky, and Ruth's Chris to name a few and Sullivan's Fillet Mignon was 100% on target. Perfect temperature, perfectly cooked, perfect flavor, just PERFECT!!! Finally, when you thought it couldn't get any better, I ordered the key lime pie! What can I say that hasn't already been said, it was great!!! I have always felt that DC offered a better choice of quality restaurants but no more. Baltimore is really stepping its game up by not only meeting DC's standards, but exceeding them! Sullivan's is one of those restaurants that is putting Baltimore on the map when it comes to fine dining. I wish I could give it a higher rating because 5 stars doesn't do this place any justice. If you're looking for that special place and want a fantastic dining experience please put Sullivan's on your list. I can't wait to return.

On one of the coldest nights of the year we decided venture out to Sullivan's for restaurant week. We were seated promptly but unfortunately a little too close to the front door. Our wonderful server Raven greeted us quickly and took our drink order. At that point we realized the draft was an issue. Upon returning with our drinks Raven immediately asked us if we were comfortable and offered to move us. Within two minutes we are seated in one of the private dining rooms. What a pleasant surprise, truly spot on service. Our meal was delicious from the Philly steak egg rolls to the flourless chocolate cake. Gregory the manager stopped in to introduce himself. Exceptional service and wonderful food whats not to like.

Steak was amazing. I got the bone-in steak with garlic mashed potatoes. Yum, can't wait to go back!

Great decor, beautiful hostesses, helpful staff, and the food was not bad, sort of bland I suppose. The shrimp stuffed lobster was very nice and assuming it was baked, very well done, the sauce was nice. Wasn't too pleased with the dessert choices, the Lobster bisque was much more like a soup than a bisque but not bad and the table service was a more of an 15%-18%, not 20% concerning drink refills, ordering, etc. overall a very average dining experience. However, spent almost the same amount at other restaurants and been much more pleased. Where's the "wow" factor? The personable waiting? When I'm out to eat I'm looking for not just decent food but a memorable experience

The Cajun ribeye and french onion soup was amazing. Very professional staff and nice setting. A little pricey but that's expected.

Came here for happy hour. Tried a local beer and the filet mignon egg rolls. Great texture and taste. Tried the bruschetta off the bar menu, but only 3 small pieces...not worth the money. Overpriced. Waitress was awesome and friendly.

This one star is no way a reflection of their food. Why? Because I never got to eat it. I made a reservation via Open Table for 8:45. 9:20 I was still waiting and told I had 4 guests ahead of me. Why bother taking reservations. I was here on business and hadn't eaten all day and really wanted a good steak. Not impressed by their service considering their prices. Felt like I could have been at Houlihans.

We had our monthly "hen party" here last night and I must tell you, it was outstanding. We were seated the moment we came through the door. And since it was restaurant week I was quite shocked by that. Additionally, there were a number of large parties so I was a bit concerned about service quality. We all ordered apps instead of big meals and I must say it was the way to go. We all had the opportunity to sample many things. The iceberg wedge, the tuna, the crab cake and the calamari were absolutely delicious. I would have liked to have tried a steak but there were no takers to share and the portions are huge. I noticed several other Yelpers complained about price but I think the value for what you get is very fair and certainly similar to other steak places in town. My initial concern about service was unfounded. Our server was pleasant and charming. He took extremely good care of us and jumped in on our jokes and all around revelry. We really appreciated the chef coming and and checking on our table. It was truly a classy touch. I highly recommend Sullivan's for service, food and ambiance. Now I need to try their happy hour!

My boyfriend and I had so much trouble both parking and finding the place that we almost gave up and just went to a local bar, but we were dressed up and really wanted to try this place out. I am glad we did, if only to say that we did. We ended up being almost 40 minutes late, but since we called twice in between, they were very nice about seating us immediately. I really liked how the restaurant was decorated and it as a nice ambiance overall. However, we were seated relatively close to the kitchen, which definitely took from our experience. It was very loud behind us and we were often distracted by the noise in our conversation. Our waiter greeted us promptly and answered our questions. He was well informed and we appreciated his advice on which cocktails to pick. I went with the Pineapple Martini which was delicious. We had both decided to do the three course pre-fixe, which was $42 each. This included a "jumbo" shrimp cocktail, a ceaser salad and a 6oz filet mingon with garlic horseradish mashed potatoes & bordelaise sauce. Here's the thing...or things...I get that this is a pre-fixe, so you don't always get the true to size meals but for $42, I expected more than three shrimp, a small plate of lettuce with less than a handful of croutons and a spoonful of mashed potatoes on my main dish. As for the filet...it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was outstanding. Again though, there was about a spoonful for my entire steak so I had to use it sparingly with each bite. The potatoes were very good, some of the best I ever had...and not to sound like a broken record here but I wanted more. When the meal was over we were both satisfied with the taste overall, but we were still hungry. A three course meals should not leave you still hungry. We decided to get some creme brulee to finish the night off. It was okay. Standard. I think I would like Sullivan's more if their prices were more aligned with the portion sizes of their food. Their regular menu prices are high and everything is ala carte. We spent close to $200 and which everything was good, I don't think we got our moneys worth. I do not mind spending money for good food and a nice night out, but the entire reason I wouldn't go back is because I have had equal or better meals for less money.

We attended a large, private birthday party here last weekend. I have to say the service was amazing! The meal was typical steakhouse fare ... filet mignon or steak with some sort of potato dish and creamed spinach. Shrimp appetizers were large and well prepared. Wine was surprisingly good. Desserts didn't seem homemade. Since I don't know what the bottom line was for our dinner fare, I can't say if it was a good value or not. It was a nice evening and a solid dinner. Seems more like a special occasion-type place. What I would have expected from a downtown chain.

The NY strip steak was quite good and the iceberg wedge with blue cheese was wonderful. The problem is that the food is way overpriced. A glass of house Cabernet was 13 dollars. A dollop of sauce on your steak ? You will pay for it. Baked potato? 8 smackers. A basic meal for two is 150. Probably would not go here agin unless a rich uncle was paying.
