Prices are great. Cream of crab soup is nothing short of amazing. The woman who helped us was very pleasant and attentive. We got a bowl of cream of crab ($8), which was nearly bursting out of the container, and the fried seafood special ($19.95). We just had a fried seafood special at LP Steamers the day before and this place was definitely better! It was quiet on a Sunday evening (8 pm or so) Memorial Day weekend - we should have come here sooner. No wait, no lines, just great food!

I can't believe no one has reviewed Scooter's yet! Wooo lawdy this place rocks! It used to have a location on the East side of town but closed down years ago. What a delight that this place is literally blocks away from my place of employment! Scooter's is known for their crabs but since they've opened down here I cannot attest to the current quality of them because eating crabs in the lunchroom just wouldn't be a good look...ya know because I wouldn't be able to drink my deuce of St Ides Special Brew in the cafeteria for fear of the CEO coming over & trying to cop a sip. Yall know how it is. Anyway, Scooter's has a variety of food options ranging from crabs to salads to subs to buffy wangs to even fish & pasta dishes. How could you not find a great lunch selection? The prices are also quite reasonable. The customer service is excellent and I've always been greeted by a smile over the phone and an even bigger smile when I walk into the store. Unfortunately the store is not big enough to dine in with a group although they do have a counter you can seat about 6 at with a stool. But for you all that work in the Canton/Fells Point/Harbor East area, delivery is available for orders of at least $15. My top recommendation if you were to get nothing but one thing out of this store? CREAM OF CRAB SOUP! A cup is $4.50 and a bowl is $6.50 and it comes chock full of lump crab. It's hard to get a spoonful without coming up with some crabmeat. WELL WORTH THE DOE SPENT! On some days the soup can be a little thick/borderline too creamy but on those days I simply grab a cup of boiling water and dilute it, which leaves me with nearly double the soup. Either way I'm winning *insert crabby kool-aid smile*

I like this little spot. The seafood was fresh and tasty. I ordered the Jr. Maryland Pride (a crab-cake and shrimp "loaf" served w/fries), an order of garlic mussels, & a cup of Cream of Crab soup. The soup was quite bland, and not tasty at all ,so I'd say skip it. The MD pride however, was delicious!! The mussels were pretty good also. I think they ran out of fries or something for my order, b/c the woman at the counter threw in a free piece of cheesecake. I didn't complain. It was typical boxed cheesecake, and tasted fine, for being a free item, that is. The restaurant was well-lit and not too busy for a Friday night, which I appreciated. The owners do all of the cooking and are quite nice. I will be back!

We just got our crabs for the 4th. Half a bushel of large/extra large females. EXCEPT, they are all no bigger than mediums. How do I know? Because the crabs were so small that we had to get 2 dozen medium/large males. I said something to the woman working and she insisted they were the extra larges... My sister didn't want to make a big deal about it until we got back and saw that they were even smaller than the medium/large males. How is this? I would love to know. I think it's a rip-off.

    I. Am. So. Sleepy. I could not put down my spoon after ordering the cream of crab soup. Since I swore I was not leaving Baltimore until I tried a crab cake I ordered the mini one. Hubs got the seafood platter. He normally doesn't like crab cake cause there's a lot of filler but Marylanders don't play around. Chunks of lump crab means "Mikey likes it!" It also means we are stuffed to the gills. With so many big corporate chain restaurants in this area, finding a reputable local mom and pop establishment was a refreshing change. We were there at an odd time so there was only the two of us sitting at the counter. Service was friendly and attentive. We could see through the glass and see Mom and Pop cranking out the goods. And it was GOOD. Now....a nap.

I'm a sucker for good seasoning not just typical old bay. Average crab prices but he seems to rarely have males. And to my knowledge he never runs any specials or promotions. I guess when u have a good product you don't have to.

This place is the best kept secret in Fell's point. Great place to get cheap take out crabs. I've never eaten there before but the owner is so funny, he took us in the back to check out the crabs before he cooked them. They have everything that you need from paper for your table to mallets. When you pick up crabs they come with potatoes and corn in the bag which is a nice little bonus. Off the beaten path but worth the visit.

The crab legs were amazing! The shrimp and crab cakes were a little over cooked, but still good. The corn on the cob was also very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall it was great food for a good price.

Get the crab loaf, don't consider, don't ponder...just go. The Arnold Palmer tea is good too. Another bonus, the food is cooked in an enclosed kitchen so you won't smell like food.
