Visited here for restaurant week on 8/3/13. I'll make this pretty detailed so read more and at the very bottom about some of the negatives. Let me start off and say this review is based only off the Restaurant Week menu... not the full menu. Morton's in Baltimore is very nice. Oddly located within the down town Sheraton but that doesnt really matter. The interior is decorated, in my opinion, VERY well and looks modern without being too overwhelming that you feel out of place stepping into the room. It is also appropriately lit. I've been to a few steak houses where it's pretty much pitch black and Morton's is not like this. The staff is phenomenal. Knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. I do not mind a waiter to push a wine or up sell a beverage, but they didnt do that here. The staff is great. Now onto the food. I was with 3 other people and we ordered the following (some of us ordered the same thing): Apps: Morton's salad, ahi tuna tower, and french onion soup. Winner: Ahi Tuna Tower... BY FAR. Fresh tuna, spices, and pita like crisps to go along... wow. It tasted amazing. Seriously this in a larger portion would be an excellent entree Fail: French Onion soup. Horrible. First it was cold. The fact the cheese was even soft amazed me more than the how horrible the soup actually was. The salad is well just a salad. Still very good though. Main course: 6oz fillet, double cut pork chop, jumbo stuffed shrimp. Winner(s)/ Draw: 6oz fillet and stuffed jumbo shrimp. If you like beef, get the fillet. It's a $5 up-charge but worth it. The fillet is melt in your mouth tender and seasoned well. While not perfect it's a VERY good choice. Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp - Awesome. Presentation of the dish is done very well and the food itself was great. It also comes with some angle hair Alfredo which I do not remember being mentioned on the menu. It's not perfect though. The shrimp is WAY over cooked to a point where some people would deem "tough" and the crab stuffing is mainly filler/bread.. But it's still GOOD. Fail: The double cut pork chop. While this is probably the largest in terms of portions of any of the food for restaurant week... it's also the worst. First, steak houses are known for beef and seafood. NOT PORK. In my opinion pork has NO place in a steak house. Furthermore, cooking pork is COMPLETELY different from cooking steak. The temps are different and the cut of meat is different. Pork is meant for a slow medium heat, and beef is meat for high searing heat. The pork chop is very thick, around 2" cut, but unlike the steaks, you cannot request a specific temp / doneness.. So the middle of the cut is usually very under cooked. I will eat my steak pretty much bleeding if I'm in the mood...I WILL NEVER eat an under cooked pork chop. EVER. It is seasoned well and whatever is actually cooked well tastes very good. ALL dishes are presented professionally. Deserts: Key Lime pie, Cheesecake, Souffle Key lime pie and the cheesecake are both very rich and taste amazing BUT are served at room temp. Personally I enjoy my pie at a cooler temp like right out of fridge. Souffle, pretty boring. We had the Grand Marnier and Chocolate souffle. The Grand Marnier souffle was horrible and had COMPLETELY too much liqueur and it was too over powering. Some orange zest would have been just fine. It actually tasted like I was doing a shot of liqueur. I do not recommend this, even if you are a raging alcoholic. There was nothing amazing about the chocolate souffle. My recommendation: cheesecake or key lime pie. Do not get me wrong, the food here is excellent. The restaurant week menu is hit or miss though. But hopefully next time restaurant week rolls around and if they have the same items, this will help you. The full original menu is by far superior. Now some bad things: The bathroom is F***ing filthy. I always go into the bathroom to get an idea of how things are up kept. Usually if your bathroom is clean, it means other places are clean and there is a focus on customer satisfaction and cleanliness. The urinals are disgusting and leaky. The stalls were the worst I've seen in a long time. Poo all over the rear of the seat, poorly maintained and wiped floor, and unkept sink. I can only imagine what kind of horrors the women's bathroom had (when we ALL know the women's bathroom is even more foul). Also kind of minor thing. Morton's uses grain feed angus meat from various suppliers. My preferred steak houses use meat bought only from one supplier to ensure quality cuts and are grass fed. I hope this helps.

Conveniently located in the lobby of the Sheraton Baltimore Inner Harbor hotel, I had to decide between some crappy hotel bar or a sub-par steakhouse chain that I knew I was going to write a 2 or 3 star review on Yelp sometime this evening. So, what did I opt to do? I went for the 2nd of my options which was the "sub-par steakhouse chain" for which you're now reading a 2 star review on, Morton's Baltimore which was in the lobby of my hotel... This Morton's is by far the WORST Morton's I've ever been to, and I didn't even order any steak. Most of you are wondering how am I supposed to give this place a review without eating steak? Well, I've eaten at several Mortons and numerous competitors in the chain "Steakhouse" market and this Morton's, just like every other Morton's, Ruth Chris', OutCrap etc, disappoint as expected. I ordered: 1 - Jumbo lump lobster cocktail 1 - Morton's salad with dressing on the side 1 - glass of 2007 St Supery Pinot Noir 3 - glasses of club soda and lime The only positives of this Morton's are: - it's located in the lobby off the hotel so you can access it without going outside - if you have a honkering for BEEF, you can go here to get some - the bartender seems is a pretty decent guy I will tell you that the bartender (Mike) is quite attentive and efficient. Don't try to charge your bill to your hotel room otherwise you'll receive dirty looks from the Morton's staff. Well, I knew prior to walking in here that I'd be writing a 2-3 star review on this place and look folks, it receives a whopping TWO stars from me. At a minimum, I've at least received 100 opentable dining points for my reservation. wooo! save your money and go somewhere else

New Year's celebration started out with a trip to Baltimore and fine dining. The atmosphere and service was exactly as you would expect at a great restaurant. I had the bacon wrapped scallops (Yum & cooked to perfection), mashed potatoes, and the fillet. I ordered the filet medium, however it came out well done. Disapointing,but.....all I had to do was let the waitress know and the situation was rectified immediately and with many comped items to show they cared. Mistakes are going to happen every once in a while, it's how a restaurant handles the situation that makes all the difference. I recommend this restaurant for the next time you want to be pampered with a great food experience.

I am amazed by the bad ratings, I thought this place rocked!! I was expecting a crazy bill at the end, but I didnt think it was outlandish by any means. My wife and I are water drinkers though, just to preface that! Wait service was great, food was just as good, scallops were AMAZING, steak was cooked perfect, never had an empty glass or a want or need that wasnt taken care of on the spot. Oh, and who can forget the bread?? Its great!!! They let you put your valet on your dining bill which is perfect for us, since we dont like to carry cash. I am not sure what else they could have done other then given us the meal free to make us happier......

This was the most disappointing steak I've ever had. That said, the service and the sides, and especially the dessert made up for it, but the 2-stars stands. It's a steak house. A RENOWNED steak house. And they served me a 6 oz filet mignon that was dry, cooked "well" and was flavorless. I ordered it medium rare, the waitress described it back to insure that's what I wanted, and it is not what I got. I had three bites (one from each side) in hopes it would get better and it never did. We told the waitress and she said she told the manager, and nothing was done or said to us. So I'm done with this place. Not even a frickin apology for a $42 steak that I couldn't eat.

I went here for a business dinner. The crab cakes were incredible-- def a must have. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. Staff were very attentive and eager to ensure you were pleased with your food choice. Great food, and great service.

Came here for restaurant week ($30 dinner) and birthday. They were nice and printed out special menus. French Onion soup was not very good. Too salty and thick. The filet mignon was delicious though. And the mashed potatoes were great with good portion size. Cheesecake and chocolate mousse was delicious. Good place to come for restaurant week but too pricey otherwise.

Very late with this review but better late than never. My husband and I went for the first time for restaurant week and boy am I glad we didn't go during regular priced times. I got the stuffed shrimp and have seen bigger at less expensive places. I had to mix the shrimp and pasta together with some broccoli I had from home to make it even mediocre the next day for lunch. My husband got and enjoyed the pork chops but how hard is that to make. The sides were less than memorable and the best part of my meal was my lemon soufflé. I shall not be returning.

I came a long time ago, like 6-7 years ago, and the food was so bad that I vowed I would not return (except to get some key lime pie which is amazing here). But, a friend had a gift card so we came here to give it another chance. Our steaks were pretty good. We got the ribeye and the cajun ribeye, and they cooked each steak perfectly according to our order. The meat itself was nice and well flavored and I liked how they made it more crusty (last time there was no crispy edges). The sides were pretty good too- creamed corn, brussel sprouts, and scalloped potatoes. Their chopped spinach salad and house salad were decent too. I love their key lime pie. Tart, creamy with a fresh graham crust. This place is not the best steak house in Baltimore (Fleming's is my favorite, then Capital Grille) but this place was pretty good.

Worst experience I've had at a restaurant. They did not honor a gift card we had and the manager made a loud scene in front of my wife on our anniversary and my sister in law on her birthday, not to mention the entire restaurant. We called the corporate line and filed a complaint and they wouldn't do much to make it right. This place does not value their customers and doesn't realize how to treat a guest. Don't done here.

We decided to check out Morton's for restaurant week. Morton's is located in the Sheraton. Definitely has the old school steak house feel to it. We made a reservation, but our table wasn't available when we arrived and ended up waiting a few extra minutes. Our server greeted us promptly, but only showed up with 3 menus, not 4. There were 4 of us. The wine and cocktail list is pretty pricey, but that was to be expected here. I ordered the house salad, filet, mashed potatoes, and the creme brûlée. Everything I had was delicious. The house dressing was very good. The salad portion was small, but I assume it's bc it was restaurant week. The filet was cooked perfectly and had a nice char on the outside of it. The mashed potatoes were buttery and very simple. And the dessert was done perfectly. The service was so-so. The food runners and water refill guy were on point. At one point they brought our dinner, but our server hadn't cleared our plates so they had to bring the food back to the kitchen until she did. Our server was pretty absent the whole night except for taking our drink order and bringing our bill. I would have expected more for a fine dining restaurant. 5 stars for food, 3 for service.

I am not a steak eater, so I went out on a limb going to Morton's, and I'm glad I did! I started with the 5 Onion Soup, which was your typical French Onion Soup. For my entree, I got the stuffed shrimp. These were fantastic! It was like little mini crab cakes on top of large shrimp. SO good! It was also served with a small side of pasta which had capers on it (such a lovely touch!). There was also mashed potatoes for the side, which kind of tasted like it was straight from a box, but were still edible. For dessert I got the double chocolate mousse. It was so rich tasting, but fulfilled all of my chocolate cravings! I felt that the service was pretty good, although our waitress was not super attentive, luckily all of the other people were, so it did not affect my opinion of the restaurant.

The Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. It's a great place to go for a special dinner. I thought the food was definitely good but maybe didn't quite match my expectations considering the price. They will validate your parking if you park at the Sheraton garage

A very nice steak house. I had the Cajun ribeye steak. The meat was as tender as any steak I've ever had. Excellent. The sides were OK. I thought the asparagus with balsamic glaze was a little tough. And the horseradish mashed potatoes I thought were a little too sharp. They would have been better with a less assertive horseradish flavor. I had the C-2 red wine blend which was outstanding and the Morton's version of the Manhattan. It was fine. It's harder to give a steak house 4 or 5 stars. If a place can't grill a steak it's not much of a restaurant. So it is here. Service was attentive and friendly. They treated me nicely on my birthday. Use valet parking; that made it easy to get in and out.

Yesterday was my birthday and i came here with my friends and my friends said that to my server so they printed cute message on their menu how cute is it! it was so impressed and our server was so sweet and kind and the food was very delicious i definitely recommend this restaurant!

They overbooked and made us wait a long time. When we asked about how long we were given an attitude. Lobster bisque had one large piece of lobster and that's it. Steak was good.

Well that was a waste of time and MONEY! I don't mind paying for great food, but this was not at all worth my 150$ bill. Idiotic.

I usually go there with a bunch of people when I am there for business. Steaks are always excellent and cooked exactly how you asked for them. So far it's always an excellent meal.

We love Morton's. Their quality is consistent and the service is great. Sides are meant for sharing, the portions are large. The DBF whom does not eat red meat loves their crab cakes, but I can't keep away from the filet (which is always perfectly cooked). The lava cake and souffles are delicious dessert choices, and they have a really good happy hour menu in the bar.

In the Sheraton, we had a gift card, though the hot and cold reviews here and the extremely positive stars on The Capital Grill almost made us change our plans. Thankfully we stayed the course and had a fantastic evening. Kristie from Annapolis was our server and was attentive, fun and oh so helpful! I found the wine by the glass list to be great and offered some realistic pricing from $9 -$17 a glass. We shared the iceberg bacon blue wedge, sharing it that night at Morton's and again at home the next night. Having noticed a cheesy toasty dish on nearly ever table we also had the Bacon, Onion Mac & Cheese. Awesome, half of that too was enjoyed encore at home the next night. The Cajun Rib Eye was Amazing and the filet nice but had to return to the kitchen to be prepared as requested. The icing on the cake as it were, was the raspberry soufflé absolutely perfect. 4.5 stars

I have been to Morton's a couple of times and always walk away thinking - yeah, that's how steakhouse should be. Let's talk about what I loved: EVERYTHING OK, more specific- Service - Excellent waiter, sommelier, and even the manager stopped by to say hi. Attentive and knowledgeable about the place they were working, and even more than that, they seemed to really like being there. It can make the difference, you know? Food - We started with Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella and Lobster Bisque. I didn't order the soup because I always think it will be too fishy, but this was soooo good that I stole half of my dinner partner's order! The steaks themselves were cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth - it's hard to get a steak right and they do, hands down. Dessert was creme brulee, and I offered to marry that dessert. Sadly, I was spurned from such attentions and had to settle for eating every bite. Price - It's a steakhouse, it's not cheap. Period. Morton's is a Baltimore institution, and it deserves that status. Love this place!

Despite being a chain, Morton's steak is delicious. It's not the best I have ever had but it is definitely good. The onion bread is to die for. It comes with softly whipped butter and it just melts in your mouth. The service is impeccable as it should be when the price tag is so high. Morton's is not original but it is a good and reliable place to get good quality food and service.

I was taken here for for a surprise birthday dinner back in February - I loved every second of it. Service: As soon as we walked in, they handed us personalized "happy birthday" menus and took a memorable photo for us. The service was outstanding, and they attended to us just the right amount. As we were waiting for our appetizers, the manager came out and apologized for the "delay" (which was only 10 min. or so), and offered us a second complimentary dessert. Food: We ordered the seafood platter and the lobster bisque as appetizers and got the porterhouse steak for 2 as the main entrée (which was HUGE - we ended up taking at least 1/3 of it home). Our chosen desserts were the soufflé and crème brulee. I personally am not a soufflé person so I can't give much of a review on that - although it was really fluffy..... The crème brulee was perfect and they even added a little birthday candle with it. Note: make sure to park in the Sheraton parking garage! I think they said they could validate the parking.

Not the decor was a little below par for the chain. I ordered my double pork chop medium but it came out at rare. There is no other way to say it was anything but rare when only the first 1/4 was cooked. I debated complaining but I really don't like calling attention to myself in public (my fault). The waiter did come over and ask if everything was ok and I tried to make it obvious the pork chop was raw by cutting only the quarter inch off the top sides... But in the low light I guess it was hard to see. Again my fault for not saying anything.

From one Morton's to the next the consistency of this place holds true. The power hour bar bites is the best deal in town and at this location the Crab Cake BLT's are bigger than those I get at home. I could hardly finish them all. If your a bar bites fan like me dont forget to get your points card so you can get free food once your points start adding up.

So I was really looking forward to taking my boyfriend here for his 40TH Birthday a while back a friend took me here for my birthday and it was a great experience the food was amazing they gave me a customized menu with my name and happy birthday on it along with a picture. He has never been here so I was more then eager to bring him to such a great establishment It turned out to be the worst experience ever his birthday is on Christmas eve I called two days prior and I made our reservation for 9pm Christmas eve as it was his 40TH birthday. The women on the phone never told me that they closed at 9pm bc of the holiday I even looked it up online and no were online did it say they were closed early it actually said they were open til 10 pm. I was beyond excited to get there and my boyfriend was excited as I have been bragging all week about how great the experience would be. We arrived after 9 due to the weather it was pouring down raining and we even passed 3 accidents on the way there it was no layer then 9:20 we got there they said they were closed I told them how I made Reservations so they got the manager and he was SO rude to me he basically said were closed go away I asked why they would book a reservation at 9 pm and not even tell me on the phone they were closing early again he said very rude the kitchen is shut down. What was supposed to be a great birthday experience for my boyfriend ended up embarrassing me I am blown I was treated so horrible the manger didn't even apologize for the mix up I would feel completely different if the manger handled the situation in a proper manner and treated me with respect even the valet parking guy apologized and he recommended that we go to capital grill and that's exactly what we did and we were welcomed with open arms with no reservation. I wish my boyfriend could of had the great experience for his birthday that I previously had on mine. They should put there holiday hours on there website so there is no confusion or atleast tell the customer they close at 9 when they book a 9pm reservation.

My favorite restaurant. Had reservations for our anniversary. They provided pre-printed menus personalized for our special occasion. They also had a photographer take our picture and give us a souvenir of the night. Our dessert was free as well. I can't say enough about the excellent service and delicious food! The best steak I've ever had. Consistent good food EVERY time I come here. Try the jumbo lump crab appetizer, Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, baked potato (largest I've ever seen), chocolate soufflé, and the filet with bernaise sauce. Steaks were cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection! I didn't even need a steak knife.

One star for our server. I hated this place Fish tacos came giving me the job to cut the avocado and fill the taco with the accoutrements . It's a fried tortilla never indicated on the menu. And guess what? It's unfillable- fried shut. Leave it to corporate America Steamed asparagus - no flavor and soggy. Not worth the $12Potatoes sticks with Parmesan cheese and truffle oil. Might as well open the can of Durkees at a supermarkets. We couldn't taste the cheese or oil. The lump crabmeat was tasty and served on a bed of chopped lettuce. Between that and the lighting it was hard to find the crabmeat.

Dined Saturday 8/9 for Restaurant week. We have been to Mortons (Bethesda) before, and think their quality slipped a little due to the volume they had for Restaurant week. Overall, the food and experience was amazing, but when compared to the reputation and cost of Mortons, I don't think 5 stars was deserving this time around. We arrived a few minutes early and our table wasn't ready, so headed to the bar for some drinks while waiting. We were seated in a booth about 15 minutes after our reservation time - no big deal. My wife ordered from the Restaurant week menu and I from the Summer menu. French onion soup - not good. Watered down possibly? Caesar salad - good, but nothing special. I'm not sure a Caesar can be special, anyway. Filet mignon - to die for. Bacon wrapped scallops - to die for. Mashed potatoes - good, but nothing special. Broccoli - good, maybe a little too buttery/salty. Crème brulee - good, nothing special, and the custard needed more time to settle and thicken. Chocolate soufflé - to die for. Service was awesome and the drinks were strong (aka, tasty). Valets were awesome too. I was surprised to see so many people with t-shirts and sandals inside. Not sure if this is a regular thing, because it's so close to inner harbor/touristy, or what, but I didn't expect to see that in such a high end restaurant. Overall, GREAT dinner, but at the risk of sounding snobby, we expect more when we dine somewhere as expensive as Mortons.

The happy hour bar bites can't be beat! The filet mignon sliders are my favorite! We stay in the attached Sheraton Hotel for the Motor Trend International Auto Show Baltimore and knowing that we can get a fantastic meal without leaving the hotel is perfect. I've tried the wedge bites, mini cheeseburgers, filet sliders and crab cake BLTs, and I've never been disappointed. The bar is a great place to relax with a few bites and a glass of wine after a long day at the auto show! The staff are just amazing. Friendly and attentive. Can't wait for next year!

We've been here several times and loved it every time. It is expensive, but so is Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris, et al. Good service and correctly made steaks and sides. Good bar selection, good ambience. Note that if you are a Landry club member you may get an invitation to a free wine or bourbon tasting, which includes tasty appetizers

Sat at the bar area with a party of four. The $6 and $7 happy hour bar menu is such a good deal. I got the potato chips with blue cheese dressing ($6), crab spinach and artichoke dip with cheese bread dippers ($7), and the filet mignonette trio ($7). I paired that with a ginger ale left my bill to a little over $25. What a great meal option in an area that has a lot of chain and expensive restaurant options. I would get the chips and filet mignonette again! But both the chip and dip are enough for two though! So save your money and order together. The service was slow and it took forever to get the check - that was the worst part. But compared to all the high prices restaurants in the area, this happy hour menu was easy on my wallet and tasty!

Went for Restaurant Week. I don't eat red meat, but my guest does, so I was up for it. Went for an early dinner, and was placed in the dead center of the restaurant, which was quite uncomfortable. We requested to be moved, and were put on the outside edge, which was fine with us. Ordered from the special Restaurant Week menu, 6oz sirloin, and the baked stuff shrimp. Food was soso. Steak was wonderful, I heard. Atmosphere was strange, restaurant layout was as well.

Never been to a steakhouse, this place was great. For starters my waiters were both named Will, they were amazing. I went for restaurant week, I had the Ahi Tuna which was really good, a 6oz Filet Mignon which was juicy, and mash potatoes. For desert is had the cream brulee which was soooo good. Wanted to really like Morton's since it is now under the management of Landry's....but sadly disappointed. Service was the only positive. For the high prices, there is no WOW factor. Desserts - crime brûlée & a chocolate soufflé were sent back. No chocolate in the soufflé -we were celebrating our 30th anniversary - very disappointed. Save your $$$$$- go somewhere else.

So good that on our 5 day business trip, we took 2 different groups of customers there! Everything about Morton's is great. Especially the genuinely tentative staff.

I guess a lot of people giving the rave reviews either have not had a really terrific restaurant experience or I hit their worst day. I walked by the place a couple of times last week and finally decided to get a steak. They ARE NOT SHULAS! They are priced like they have a really good product but no, you will not find tasty fine dining here. I ordered the 'cajun ribeye' and the potatoes. Being 'a la cart' with sides is something I had not seen since Shula's restaurant but in Shula's case the sides were insanely huge and good! My potatoes were burnt and had apparently been in the bin all day. Not tasty. My steak was cooked ok but was a very fatty cut which left more on the plate that was not edible. I said something and the waitress just laughed it off. Of note I get the cajon steak at O'charlies for 18$ or so and its larger, better cut and has more flavor. As far as Im concerned this place was an overpriced hotel restaurant that is only good for business meetings. (The one in Richmond is by far better) I dont need to mention the staff and buddies who had a loud conversation all through dinner. They seemed to be regulars and commanded the attention of the staff while I was there. It didnt bother me I wont be looking for overpriced burnt food anytime soon.

From okay a year or so ago to back to The Morton's I used to know!! Our favorite waitress Michelle is one of the trainers; her customer service is Exceptional. On this visit our waiter was Brad and he followed the same model of Customer Service. We were really impressed with the GM, Steve Carcamo. He stopped by to make sure everything was meeting our expectations and chatted for a while. We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the evening. Morton's has undergone some renovations and we LOVE the new look. The food was excellent as always and we can't wait to have another opportunity to get done to the harbor!

We went for our anniversary and they treated us well. Great seat, nice ambiance, took our photo and staff was great! We did buy the scallop appetizer which was three small scallops. The Mortons salad was great and the sides were big and tasted great. I ordered the 6oz filet (39 bucks) which was no different from any other filet and my husband ordered the 24 oz porterhouse which was not even cooked evenly. This is something that I would expect at a local restaurant near by and only pay $20 bucks. Extremely disappointed with the steak.

Kudos to Martha, Gary, and staff for making our office holiday party a huge success. Everyone was so attentive and we were made to feel so special. I highly recommend Morton's for your next private meeting.

Throughout dinner I needed to keep reminding myself I was in the South. What slow service! Luckily I was in no rush, so i savored a good Italian Chianti with my cousin and father and we flitted away 4 hours at this good but not exceptional incarnation of Morton's. The Blue points were good and fresh, as were the bacon wrapped scallops. The steaks were good but I have had better. Overall not a bad experience at all. Then again a good Chianti can make you forget them anyway.

I hate steak houses. Unfortunately, my boyfriend loves them. What is a girl to do, but oblige on occasion. Steakhouses in general are a bastion of manhood. Dark walls, no windows, wood interior, and stark white table cloths. Morton's is no different. This Morton's is definitely on the lower end of the others I have been to (Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, and Phoenix). The clientele seemed to be more casually dressed, and the location in the Sheraton Hotel is a little bit desolate and scary on a Saturday night. For the two of us, we spent over $300. Two cocktails, a beer, a ($70) bottle of wine, one salad, one petite fillet, one ny strip, one asparagus side, and one side of french fries. Our waiter was attentive and thorough, and my fillet was cooked perfectly. My BF's NY strip was not good, and so we just split mine. The one thing I like about chain steakhouses, is while I may never be wowed I always know what to expect. And it keeps the boy happy, which means it is worth every ridiculously over priced cent.

The steakhouse is very much convenient to everything. I was very much amazed of the services and the food. This is truly the place to go for all steak lovers. The taste is really perfect and will sure awaken your taste buds. I've never seen anyone not happy in this place. People always leave the place with a smile.

I was there for my boyfriend's birthday and they were the best. I made reservations online and wrote a note to let them know what he liked and it was his birthday. He told me Morton's was his favorite steakhouse, but that was the DC location and I was a bit nervous if they could hold up to his "standards," lol. Needless to say everything from the ambiance to the food and service was EXCELLENT. We will definitely be returning.

We went for my husband's birthday. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The waitstaff professional and knowledgeable. We ordered a salad and soup. The french onion soup was pretty basic, nothing special and actually a bit bland. Their version of the Wedge Salad was good. I asked for dressing on the side and they put it on top but it was still OK. I ordered a Fillet Oscar style, and my husband had a Rib-eye Cajun style. Mine was OK, there was no crust on the steak, and there was grizzle on my steak. His rib-eye was not seasoned evenly, 1/2 the steak had too much and the rest had none. Our dessert was the chocolate molten cake. It was OK, nothing special. Honestly, Chile's has a better one. For sides we shared the mac and cheese w/ bacon and fries with truffles. Both were just OK. We had lots of leftovers and decided to leave them - not worth taking home. Oh, and the bathrooms were just not up to par for a place you drop $300 for a dinner for two.

The worst steakhouse in Baltimore. Give me Outback any day over this piece of crap. Last time I went, I sat down at the bar waiting for my buddies to arrive. Had a glass of a decent scotch, and they charged me more than what the menu showed me. I brought that to the attention of the bartender, and she talked with the manager, and she came back saying she'd fix it on the menu. Still charged me more than what the menu originally said. Then, finally sat down, and once I sat down, timing it, it took just under 30 minutes to get a freakin menu. are you serious!??! 30 minutes to get a menu?!?!?!! Then got my double fillet, and ooh, how nice of them to leave the silverskin on the fillet. You have GOT to be kidding me. three of us shared creamed spinach and hash browns, and yeah... the has browns were nasty... Waffle house has better hash browns then them (yeah, who would've thought you'd ever read about waffle house in a review for a steakhouse like Mortons?!?!). Refills on drinks were obviously slow (yeah, 30 minutes waiting for a menu, so I couldn't get any more pissed off at that point).... Anyways, NEVER coming back here. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE service, HORRIBLE prep on the steak.... worst steakhouse in Baltimore. hands down.

WOW!!! Great friendly staff, even the doorman. 2nd visit in a few days and they have nailed customer service. Food is of course to Morton's famous standards. I sat in the bar as I'm traveling alone, however the staff made me feel like I had booked a party room.

Service was decent and staff friendly, ordered the sea bass, it was decent and cooked nicely but not what I expected for the price. I've had better fish at way cheaper restaurants. Also had the creme burlee for dessert, same experience, was not worth the price at all, disappointing :(

If you like overpriced steak with bad service, then go ahead and try it out. Otherwise, avoid this place b/c not only will you spend at least 100 dollars but you'll also be paying for crappy service and loud annoying businessmen. I gave this place a chance twice because I like steak so much but never coming back here again. I would give this place a higher rating if I was paying chinese food takeout prices but at these prices, I expect alot better. The steak was decent but I could probably go to Outback's and get better service, slightly less quality of steak but pay half as much. It takes them forever to bring out the steak and I didn't think it was that great compared to other nice steakhouses in Baltimore like Ruth's Chris or Fleming's.

I've been to a few Morton's around the country--this is a nice one. It is pricey so be prepared to spend, but know that it is worth it for the quality of the food, drinks, and service. The staff is very helpful in answering questions about the choices in meats. The Crème brulée is exquisite! It's upscale, quiet, and the meals are always delicious!

My family, boyfriend and I went for a goodbye dinner before my parents were leaving for vacation. They had a very nice (in person) presentation of what was on their menu. It was very nice to be able to see what your options were however I probably could have done without the waiter's one liner jokes. The restaurant was clean and everyone was very friendly. The only downfall to the dinner besides the bad jokes was the baby crying next to me throughout dinner.

Off we went for a nice night on the town starting with Morton's The Steakhouse- getting the Steak and Seafood for Two special ($99 for two) which is still available till September 30th. The offer includes 2 single cut filets, each person gets a choice of a seafood item (Shrimp Alexander, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, or Broiled Sea Scallops), each person gets a choice of a salad (Caesar or Morton's), 1 signature potato to share, 1 fresh vegetable to share, and you each get a choice of a dessert (Hot Chocolate Cake or Key Lime Pie). When you walk in you are greeted by a romantic and masculine atmosphere and smiling hostess. Then the charming Maître de walks us to our table that is crescent moon shape- his whisks the table out so you may walk in to sit side by side. Once your drinks are ordered you are then presented with a menu presentation with live lobster and all. They explain all the cuts of meat pointing out each one and show you the different fresh vegetables they use. We ordered one of each of the salads. The lettuce was very crispy and cold. In fact I had never had lettuce that was so cold when you bit into it. It made the salad and lettuce seem very fresh and not get soggy from the dressing. The Caesar salad dressing was peppery. The Morton's salad had a Blue Cheese dressing. Overall, with the quality of lettuce both salads were pleasant and crisp. For our seafood choices we picked the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and the Broiled Sea Scallops (wrapped in bacon with apricot chutney). The crab cake was sweet and had hardly any filling and was almost all lump crab meat. My husband believes it was one of the best crab cakes he has had. The scallops were perfectly cooked and weren't tough or rubbery. The Filets were very flavorful, juicy and tender. My Husband had is cooked medium-well and they butterflied it so that it wouldn't become charred. I ordered mine medium, however, it was served more towards the medium-rare side but still was very good and not extremely underdone. All of their meat is USDA prime-aged, Midwest grain-fed beef, shipped directly from Chicago. We both agree that our Filets were one of the better ones we have had. We picked the Grilled Jumbo Asparagus with a balsamic glaze and the Hashbrown Potato. The asparagus was cooked perfectly and very fresh. The potatoes were served with butter, sour cream and bacon if you wanted to add them. For dessert we both had the Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake which had to be ordered with the rest of our meal because of the 30 minute preparation and cooking time. AS soon as you cut into the center of the cake a gooey molten liquid chocolate oozed out. It was served with Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream. With each bite you would combine a piece of cake, ice cream and molten chocolate and enjoy a mouthful of bliss. It was very rich but for all those chocolate lovers out there it was Heaven! The wait staff was very friendly and pleasant. This experience is not a rushed affair so for your next special occasion or romantic night on the town this would a nice place to dine. The current Steak and Seafood for Two ($99 for two) is a great value for a high end steakhouse experience (Hurry because it ends September 30th, 2008). UPDATE: Morton's is extending the Steak and Seafood Dinner for Two special through November 28! And, starting October 1, it will also include a wine component - an option to order "A" by Acacia Pinot Noir or Kenwood, Sauvignon Blanc for $33 a bottle. Anyone interested in getting the special card to use to order the Steak and Seafood meal should go to mortons.com/steak to register.

Went to Morton's last night because of restaurant week. Completely expected to be wowed, but it was just ok. It didn't help that the first impression of the restaurant we got was from the hostess, Kristin. Due to the snow, we got a call asking if we were keeping our reservation. When we said yes, she almost sounded annoyed that we were coming. Then when we called to say we were slightly delayed due to traffic and to see if we could push back the reservation, she gave a big sigh and then said "we'll just see you when you get here...." but not in the nice way. again, in the rude, cold way. Once we got in the restaurant, we were seated. Thinking we were just cold from being outside a second ago, we thought we would surely warm up eventually. Nope. The entire meal we were all commenting on how cold it was. It felt like they didn't even have the heat on. Our waitress came over and told us she'd be by to do a verbal menu, which I guess is what they do there, but a little over the top. Nobody really needs that...a little unnecessary. When I asked her about the restaurant week, she gave a very cold "oh. I'll bring that menu." meaning, "oh, I'm getting less tip, you cheapskates." Granted, we never would've gone to Morton's had it not been RW. For the rest of our meal, I think our waitress smiled ONCE, and that was after she almost thrust a live lobster into my eye! The food was just ok. Nothing to rave about. I don't even think it'd be worth it to go for RW again. There are so many restaurants in Baltimore - choose a different one.

The atmosphere is great, and the waitress was amazing crumb sweeping and all...but he food SUPER EXPENSIVE ala carte, the steak was average, my wifes was overcooked and so not worth $10.00- OUTBACK has way better steak and 1/3 of the price- save yourself and your wallet from this overrated steakhouse!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service and food was outstanding. They printed his name on the menu as a special touch and they went over and beyond to make his night special. The steak was tender and tasty. I ordered the crab cakes and they were good. I will be returning to this restaurant soon.

I went for a sponsored event, and even with the sudden rush of 20+ orders, my filet mignon was a 10/10 based on size, texture, even cooking, taste and presentation. 12oz of aged perfection, cooked perfectly (mid-rare), not too fast or slow. The asparagus and twice baked potato were done to perfection as well. The atmosphere is classy and refined, and I would definitely come again.

I've only been here twice and each time my wife and I had the Steak and Seafood for Two deal: 2 salads, 1 potato, 1 vegetable, 2 single cut filets, your choice of shrimp or scallops, and your choice of hot chocolate cake or key lime pie for $99. We did the math and it amounts to roughly $50-$60 in savings. You can get these savings by signing up for their e-mail offers. Please note that since I've only had the filet, this may not be a fair comparison to Ruth's Chris. Food - I'm not a big fan of filets. Sure they're tender but since they are lean, they don't have much flavor when compared to the Strip or a Ribeye. I believe the single cut filet at M's is not much cheaper than R'sC's regular filet, but it's significantly smaller. Morton's point of differentiation is that they bring out a plate with all their cuts of beef in the raw and explain them to you. You then choose which cut you would like and how you would like it cooked. Unlike Ruth's Chris, the steaks are served with butter on the side in what looks like a cross between a gravy bowl and a genie's lamp. Oddly, this seems more unhealthy than R'sC. Since R'sC is served on a sizzling plate, thereby melting the gratuitous amounts of butter, your steak glistens. At Morton's, the butter sauce is really thick and it colors your steak a bright yellow. An analogy I can think of is R'sC looks like body oil while Morton's looks like sunblock that hasn't been properly rubbed in. So as far as the filets goes, I think R'sC is superior but M's makes a pretty good one. Both the shrimp and the scallops were excellent and the salad was so-so. For dessert, definitely go with the chocolate cake, which is a lava cake w/ a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Service - The first time we went, the service was excellent. The second time, our service sucked! T. My steak came out well done when I ordered a rare and the server said he would bring out a rare. I know a good steak takes a long time, but once again, our server disappeared out of the dining room and I finally got my steak 30 minutes later. Problem is, because it was waiting around so long, it went from a presumable rare to a medium-well. This experience was so bad that we decided we probably wouldn't come back even with the $99 deal. Decor - This dining room is cozier than R'sC in Bethesda/DC and the seats are well spaced. 3 Stars for a good steak, bonus star for the good deal. I'd say give the deal a shot and if your server is good, you won't be disappointed!

We dined at Morton's for a friend's birthday. Morton's had a special menu printed with her name on it & took a group photo and presented it to her at the end of our meal. It was a fun surprise & helped to make the night even more special for the birthday girl. Our waiter & the service was extremely attentive. Our food was all very good. I particularly enjoyed the filet mignon, the mashed potatoes & the creme brulee. My filet was tender, the mashed potatoes had a wonderful flavor & the creme brulee had a fabulous crunchy burnt sugar topping...the crunchiest I have ever had. YUM! We never felt rushed and had wonderful & relaxing evening.

My co worker and I decided to get out and steak was the meal in mind. We walked to Morton's for dinner: out waiter William was fantastic, and we both ordered the bone in ribeye... amazing!

I cannot wait to come back!

This dining "experience" was easily the worst I've ever had at any restaurant, ever. Our server disappeared for 25 minutes at a time. We ordered a highball and asked for a refill on a Diet Coke - crickets. The Ceasar Salad, while ample with the lettuce, was dry as a bone. The little bit of dressing that I actually could taste, was, pretty good. After ordering a different bottle of wine, the Sommelier attempted to pour that wine into the glass that we used for the previous bottle! I actually had to go to the bar to get another glass because our server couldn't be bothered to get a fresh glass for us. I had enough and asked to speak to the manager, who at first, seemed like he got it. A bit of time went by and admittedly, I did some complaining that I'm sure our server didn't like. I was then asked by the GM to accompany him to another room where I was told that I would have to leave because I "threatened" the waitstaff and that I was still going to "pay" for my dinner. I told this moron that I had no intention of not paying for my dinner. All I wanted was not to have to wait 25 minutes to get a refill on a Diet Coke when they're charging $50 for a steak. Nope, I'd have to leave or he was going to call the police. I probably should have let him, because at the speed they do things, I would have been gone for hours before they called. Regardless, this GM is easily the most unprofessional and inept manager that I've had the pleasure to meet. It was obvious to everyone that the only way our server could get back at us was to make up a story so we would be forced to leave. BTW, the GM comp'd our $650 bill (which would have been over $800 if I hadn't refused my meal and told them to take if off our bill) because he I think he finally realized what a bunch of clowns they were. Take my advice - don't waste your time at this joke of a restaurant. I wouldn't set foot in this place again if they were giving away steaks. And if you don't believe that this place is below par for a Morton's, see how many stars they have - barely 3.5. What does that tell you?

We were here after Black Eyed Susan Day. Good experience with Dario at the bar. He made my Raspberry Gimlet, which is no longer on their drink menu. It's been off the menu for two years. Excellent! Our server was Dana, who we've had on numerous occasions. She is very attentive. Food was good, but I was disappointed to find out that the apple tart is not offered and is considered seasonal! This was my favorite dessert.

Had a group dinner here in the private dining area. Was impressed with the food and service we received. The menu was set to start with a caeser salad, but I don't like the dressing so asked for oil and vinegar instead and they were very accomodating. For an entree I had a filet mignon which was perfectly cooked medium rare, had excellent flavor (did not need salt or pepper). It came with 3 stalks of fat aspargus which were unflavorful and tough. I have dined at morton's before and fount their vege sides to be very bland and underwhelming. Key lime pie for dessert was excellent.

This was my first "real" steak of 2012, since I was pregnant all year and could not enjoy a Medium steak. My hubby and I chose Morton's for our 2nd wedding anniversary dinner/first night out of the house since becoming parents. We were pleasantly surprised. Chris, our waiter, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and always accessible. He gave us great recommendations, and he even looked up my Landry's Rewards account so that we could get points for our dinner. We order the following: Appetizer: Shrimp Alexander Soup: Lobster Bisque Entrees: Cajun Rib-eye and Center-Cut Prime Rib-eye Sides: Creamed Spinach and Sour cream mashed potatoes Dessert: Hot Chocolate Cake An onion loaf was brought to our table and our photo was taken as an anniversary souvenir. I love those! The bread was SO good! Didn't need butter. She did not choose wine for our meal since I am nursing a newborn and my husband won't drink unless I do. My husband loved the shrimp alexander. We found the recipe on Pinterest so we will be remaking it soon! I liked it, didn't love it, but the portion (4 shrimp) was appropriate. I ordered the lobster bisque. It was pretty good. It was salty yet bland if that makes sense. I enjoyed it, but would not choose it again. Our steaks were excellent. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. My husband said his cajun rib-eye was the best he's had. It is marinated for 48-60 hours in cajun spices, but it is not "spicy" as most "cajun" food can be. The sides were just like most side dishes as steakhouses -- bland and overpriced. They were sizable portions for us to share. The creamed spinach was surprisingly good. The mashed potatoes were bland. I am starting to assume that sides at steakhouses are purposefully bland so that you enjoy the full flavor of the meat, but I really wish I could get more flavorful sides. The dessert was also portion-size appropriate. If you want a huge hunking molten lava cake, go to Chili's. This cake is smaller, comes with vanilla haagen daas ice cream and is SO rich! As small as it was, my husband and I had trouble finishing it. Overall, I'd give our experience an A-. I would return, but I will order a salad and different sides next time.

Great food--the steak was delicious. However i am giving this place 2 stars for the service. It took almost an hour before the server came to get our order, and almost just as long for the 3rd course to come out. Some members of my party sitting at one end of the table overheard some staff members making rude comments over the placement of one of the chairs. It took almost an hour for us to get our check, granted we were a large party. But by this time we were the only people there (there were maybe 4 other people still left in the restaurant that were not with us), so bringing over the check should not have taken close to an hour. If it were not for the service i would come back. The food was prepared very well.

We were there last night. A Saturday and we arrived early. This is just how we roll when neither of us had eaten all day. We sat at the bar, ordered a bottle of wine and lots of small plates. Lots of small plates equals lots of variety. We hat the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, bacon wrapped scallops, trio of fillets, asparagus, oysters on the half shell and fresh bread. Then after dinner drinks. And then creme brulee. We were served mostly by the bartender, Mark, and he was awesome. The food wad very good, the staff excellent.

I was looking forward to eating here as I have previously enjoyed Morton's very much, but here in Baltimore the experience I was hoping for didn't materialize at all. I will say the crabmeat in the crabmeat cocktail I had was wonderful, though the lettuce cushion was boring, slightly brown and a little over-soggy. My steak, which I ordered true medium came out medium well. :( That was by far the most disappointing part of my meal. No, I didn't return it back though I probably should have, how else will a restaurant learn? I have nothing bad to say about the wait service, my waitress was nice, fun and knowledgeable. Given that there are so many great steakhouses in and around the Baltimore area, I will probably try them all first before I return here for the money I spent. I will, however, go back Morton's any day, any time in a different city.

I thought I loved the Morton's chain, and then I ate in their Baltimore location. We entered through the Sheraton hotel, and the restaurant is very dark and it took a while to discover the hostess station on the other side. The decor is dark and tired. It took forever for the waiter to take our drink order and we were early and one of the few tables seated in the whole restaurant. I had a wedge salad which was really great, and a good size for two. I ordered a small filet, which came out look warm and rather mushy, even for a filet. My guest had one of the fish offerrings and said he enjoyed it. We ordered a side of spinach and mushrooms, which also came less than piping hot. (The heat is a problem in their dishes.) For a $200 bill, I think there are a lot of better choices for you. No reason to return.

I cannot wait to come back!

So good that on our 5 day business trip, we took 2 different groups of customers there! Everything about Morton's is great. Especially the genuinely tentative staff.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service and food was outstanding. They printed his name on the menu as a special touch and they went over and beyond to make his night special. The steak was tender and tasty. I ordered the crab cakes and they were good. I will be returning to this restaurant soon.

They overbooked and made us wait a long time. When we asked about how long we were given an attitude. Lobster bisque had one large piece of lobster and that's it. Steak was good.
