I do my research prior to visiting a new restaurant, diligently. Especially when I'm taking a road trip and i'm completely unfamiliar with the territory. My latest trip was to Baltimore and I was determined to find the best Italian restaurant in the Little Italy section of the city. After many hours of research, I was comfortable with reserving a table at Dalesios. Upon walking into the establishment, we were happily greeted by Dave. Feeling very welcomed, we were promptly seated in a beautiful, spacious dining area. The large windows only enhanced the ambiance with a view of Little Italy outside. We were quickly greeted by our server and given a menu and wine list. We ordered calamari and a salad of lettuce, tomatoes, Kalamata olives and artichoke hearts. Both of which were the best we'd ever had. The calamari was beyond tender and the olive oil in the salad alone was worth the trip. We almost couldn't believe how perfect everything tasted. And our Cabernet selection just enhanced everything further. My meal was linguini with shrimp, scallops and mushrooms in a marsala sauce. The seafood tasted fresh out of the ocean, the sauce was seasoned perfectly and the pasta was just al dente. My date had a Chicken Bolognese over linguini that had been slow simmered with root vegetables, wine, tomatoes and cream. It was just outstanding. The bread with the meal was fresh and fragrant and complimented everything. Our server was quick and efficient, he did not over or underwhelm us with his presence. This place has just the right balance of everything. For desert, I had a wonderful chocolate cannolli and my date had the lemon cake, both of which were gone in about 5 minutes, despite the fullness of our bellies. We left, once again, with Dave's cheerful smile and presence and were invited back to the restaurant at our next convenience. Our next convenience cannot come soon enough.

We just had a fantastic impromptu lunch at Delasio's. David our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We got the specials he recommended and they were perfect. We highly recommend anything in the marinara sauce, specifically the muscles. I try eggplant parm at everything Italian eatery I visit and this is easily top 5. Being in Baltimore the crab cake special was amazing. Very fresh. Didn't have room for dessert but if it's anything like the rest of the food, delicious.

The food was really nothing to be excited about. For the price, id prefer freshly made pasta. The shrimp Caesar salad was decent, but neither my self or my dad really thought this place was anything special.

Aesthetic Appeal & Atmosphere: 5 of 5 Service: 5 of 5 Meal & Drinks Quality: 4 of 5 The exterior and interior of the restaurant are quite nice and it shows that much effort was placed into it. It emanates class! The service was quick and efficient. The waiter provided just enough attention without seeming to be apathetic or too overly involved. I ordered their Vitello Saltimbocca and it was quite nice. Their salad was nice and fresh. The veal was prepared just right with all the accenting ingredients. One aspect which does impact me to place this review at 4 stars was that there was a very simple pasta, accompanying the veal, that was quite boring. It could be spiced up a bit by using a different form of pasta such as farfalle or add in some more spices. Their wine selection was excellent with a good variety of Chiantis and Piedmontes. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will be back again.

My wife wanted to try this place as it was suggested to her by her friend who has suggested places in the past that I had to suffer a meal from. I was trying to head her in the direction of Della Notte, but it wasn't taking. Funny, another reviewer mentioned being taken upstairs when everyone else seemed to be dining downstairs .. same happened to us. Althoiugh our dining room eventually filled up, and I'm sure it was coincidental and they were just filling the stations according to their wait staff assignments that night. I was completely prepared not to like this place, although it won me over eventually. Food seemed to take a little while to get out, but we requested kid plates (not on their menu) which they graciously made to order .. spaghetti & meatballs for one son, and chicken tenders and fries for the other, both reasonably priced as $10 and $12. The chicken tenders, btw, were very good .. probably better than most of the places we have been (my son orders this 95% of the time). My wife ordered a pasta dish with a red sauce and assorted seafood, not fruit de mare, but another dish I can't recall the name of. Similar as it has shrimp, scallops, clams and squid. Plate was surrounded with mussels .. all cooked just right. Nothing was overcooked or rubbery which is sometimes the case with these mixed seafood dishes (just try Sabatino's for example if you like rubbery, overcooked seafood). Desserts were tasty (decent creme broule) and service was good. Also of note - I loved the interior, decor and upkeep of this place. The men's room looked as if it was remodeled a week ago. I asked the waiter about the place and he said it was remodeled in 2000, so I was even more impressed with the state of cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. Will probably come back when I dine with a friend in the next week or so as he's always looking for good, new places to dine.

Found Dalisio's on my iPhone, looking for a place to have lunch. What a wonderful place. It's in an old (1888) home, converted to a restaurant. My friend and I shared a bruschetta for an appetizer and it was the best bruschetta either of us had ever had. From there we had the Mediterranean seafood (shrimp and scallops with mushrooms in a Marsala sauce over linguini. For dessert, we shared a limoncello cake. It was wonderful from start to finish. David was our waiter and he was superb. We are making plans to return as soon as we can get back to Baltimore. Very highly recommended.

The food was amazing and the staff made sure that everything was on point. The food also lived up to its other reviews. Definitely will be back for some more amazing Italian dishes. Also, the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Try to reserve a seat there. You won't regret it!

We had a wonderful meal with friends there last night. Great Italian food - the Rose sauce is as good as any I've tasted. I especially liked the salad dressing on the house salad. Everyone was very happy with their meal - clam casino, seafood, veal, salads, soups... and great desserts - chocolate lava cake and lemon cream cake. It's a beautiful restaurant in a very convenient spot. Service was excellent. I recommend you visit while we still have authentic Italian restaurants left in Baltimore.

The desserts were pretty good! The coffee was also good. We had difficulties communicating with the waitor but he was kind in general. We sat in the second floor balcony, nice view. The only thing to complain is it smelled kind of weird near the stair.

All the food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. The garlic bread looked like it may have been pre-made and the "steamed vegetables" were clearly frozen. The penne alla vodka was pretty good as was my boyfriend's veal. The service was slow but very friendly.

I was relatively uncomfortable and anxious when my co-workers bypassed the options I gave them for dinner and decided to go to this place on word from the concierge who told us to say his name when we got there - eek. When we arrived (630 local) we were the only people in the restaurant and it was cold in there - eek. Apparently people in Baltimore freak when the temp falls under 25 and hibernate though - benefit of the doubt. At this point I was very concerned on how this meal would turn out - I'm in a new city, I get to expense my meal, I wanna go somewhere That is good (and no that doesn't mean expensive). Our waiter changed my tone in a hurry. He was polite, personal and seemed genuinely interested in why we were in town and genuinely interested in making sure our time there would be enjoyable. They didn't have Chicken Picatta on the menu, only Veal Picatta. I can't stomach (no pun) the thought of eating a baby cow, so I asked if I could have Chicken Picatta and they said it'd be no problem. It was good. You can see from the picture. It was very tasteful and the capers seemed fresh. Afterwards we got dessert. I've only ever had a Lemonchello shot in my life but It was amazing so I decided that the Lemonchello cake sounded great. We got that and the Tiramisu. For those that don't know Lemonchello tastes like rumchatta if you removed the cinnamon and replaced it with lemon flavor. Anyways both desserts were phenomenal. We scarfed them down in a ridiculous amount of time, part of some may have gone into my lungs. To summarize the experience, it was awkward at first but by the time I left I was very happy my co-workers choose the place. The prices weren't horrible, the food was good and our server made us feel extremely welcome. Just crank up the heat a notch or two :)

I've been here twice. Once for a rehearsal dinner and second time for my father and in-laws birthdays. We were a big party and reservations were made ahead of time. We got seated in a private dinning room upstairs which was nice. All was great. I had the vodka penne pasta which was very delicious. The only thing is that service was slow and when we would ask for things we would have to ask twice or three times. Another thing is the vegetable were not fresh and frozen. Not good at all.

Food was great. First time here. Had reservations for 830 and was at a table by 845. It was a busy house and thankfully i was able to reserve a table the day of. I had the chicken Bolognese as an entree and the shrimp and crab ravioli's as an app; and cleaned my plate. I would have given this place 5 stars but the app only came with 3 raviolis. Other than that it has the small and cozy old school feel to it. Oh and it was a bit chilly but that could have been because i was near a balcony door on the second floor. I would def recommend you try this place with your special lady or special someone. For desert we had the tiramisu which was devoured.lol my lady for her entree had the crab shrimp with linguini. She cleaned her plate also. For me, it was too seafood ish, but that was because they give you a lot of crab. Overall app, entree, and desert with 2 glasses of wine came to $85. Not bad for authentic Italian food.

My boyfriend and I had went to check out the Aquarium and then wanted to eat at an authentic restaurant in the famed Little Italy. My phone had died so unfortunately I couldn't check Yelp for its reviews. This place looked charming from the outside and we figured hey, how bad could the food be? We are in Little Italy after all. We had walked in and were seated right away and it was pretty dead except for one other couple. It was the beginning of dinner time. The menu isn't very extensive and my boyfriend wanted shrimp scampi with the traditional scampi sauce. They had four versions of it but it was either scampi with Marsala sauce, a spicy marinara sauce and a spicy mustard and vinegar sauce? Hmmmm. Well we ordered fried calamari and we are Greek and we eat this all the time. It came to the table and instantly we knew this was not the place to eat good fresh Italian fare. The calamari came to the table and they were small skinny pieces and golden brown. Mostly breaded and extremely chewy. A good sign that the calamari comes from a box frozen are when the pieces are small and all the same size. Plus when there are very few, like one or two heads or none at all , it's NOT fresh. We returned the appetizer and left. Now looking back at the pictures of their food here on Yelp the food looks cheap, the veggies are frozen kind and it doesn't look like and good nice place to eat authentic Italian food. The food reminds me of OLd home food. Go somewhere else. Plus our waiter we had to wait a year and a half for him to even return to our table after he had brought the app. Never even came to see how we liked it. When we told him we were leaving he didn't even bat an eye. Bet it has happened before.

Went to this place with a group of 7 and no one was disappointed. Great service although somewhat noisy. Several (including me) had a flounder special which was nicely done with a great white sauce. The accompanying pasta w/a red sauce was nothing special though. The mussels starter was large and truly delicious if not straightforward. Another of our company had a tasty sliced tomato w/mozzarella with a very light dressing. Another dish that looked good was a mushroom-stuffed ravioli but was a bit overdone w/a butter/oil (?) sauce. Overall, a good place, worth going back to in the Little Italy area.

Service was good and place looked nice but I should have known better to just walk in without checking it out first . We started with fresh mozzarella and clams casino both were good not great . Main courses , chicken marsala was awful . Pasta over cooked and the marsala sauce a watery flavorless mess . I had shrimp and scallop in a Marsala cream sauce , it was ok but pasta also over cooked and we asked for "al dente" we didn't stay for dessert all in all mediocre bland food no wonder the place was empty .

This restaurant is rated on of the top Italian restaurants in Baltimore. I want to just forewarn you that coming from where I was raised in New York, I'm usually pretty critical of Italian restaurants. For appetizer, the table split an order of fried calamari and fresh mozzarella and tomato. The fried calamari was good, not the best I've ever had but I certainly had seconds and thirds. The fresh mozzarella was delicious especially when dipped in the table olive oil. They also serve hot bread which when dipped in olive oil was very yummy. For my entrée I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was as good as it can be! The chicken was perfectly fried, with melted mozzarella cheese and sauce on top. I loved my dish. My dad on the other hand did not enjoy his dish as much. I forgot what the name of the dish was called but it was basically muscles shrimp and calamari over linguine in a red sauce. He loved the seafood, but the sauce and pasta wasn't so great (his opinion, I didn't try it). This restaurant was good and my meal was great, but I don't know if I will be back. I hate to give this place only three stars, but since it is on the pricy side, everyone should love their meal. I just want to stress again, this review is coming from someone that is used to the best of the best Italian food.

We are here for a wedding rehearsal party. The lasagna was the best. The room was kinda warm, but after dinner we stood out on the balcony and there was a cool breeze. I heard that the chicken Marsala was pretty good, but personally, I didn't try it. Parking is kinda limited, so Uber was the big winner to get here!!

Located in the heart of Little Italy, Baltimore, we stumbled across Dalesio's with its inviting menu and half price wine Wednesdays! The interior looks rather dark and empty and we were offered a seat outside on the upstairs balcony. From the home-made crusty hot bread, to the appetiser calamari which was as good as it gets served with a wonderful tomato-based sauce on the side; to the delicious pasta dishes we both enjoyed. The size of the meals was more than plentiful, the prices very reasonable and of course the wine was half price!! A great find and highly recommended in an area flush with little Italian restaurants.

Food was very exceptional. I came to Dalesio's with a friend from DC. The lump crab meat Maryland Crab Soup was yummy, along with the Frutti De Mare. I was initially going to go to Cafe Gia, but they were closed "we ate at 2:30pm" Cafe Gia reopens for dinner. I would definitely revisit Dalesio's. Delle Notte is overpriced garbage Italian food.

The food was FANTASTIC!! The waiter (Eric) was very nice and personable, wish I could afford to tip him a lot more. But it is definitely way too pricey for a student, should've done more research before cringing after receiving the bill.

My parents and I ate here on our last night visiting in Boston. Quick walk from the Inner Harbor and the owner was at the door greeting customers and answering questions about their menu. We were seated right away around 7-7:30ish on a Friday evening without a wait. We started with fried calamari which was perfect. Hot, crisp, with just the perfect amount of airy light batter. And it was served with warm perfectly balanced homemade marinara sauce. This is in addition to warm bread with olive oil + spices that are at your table. I also had a caesar salad before my main entree, and it was THE BEST caesar salad I've ever had in my thirty-something years. No exaggeration. For entrees, I had the gnocchi with pesto sauce. The gnocchi were light and the pesto sauce was flavorful, but I had to add a pinch of salt. I'd wished at the end I'd ventured with the bolognese sauce. My mom had the lasagna which was pretty good but she was so full from her Maryland crab soup that she didn't finish her entree. My dad had the flounder special with lump crab and penne with marinara sauce. For dessert, we split the tiramisu. Light, airy, and flavorful. almost as light as the dollop of homemade whipped cream it came with. We ate our halves (we split an order of the dessert) in what seemed like a blink of the eye and very easily could have had more! Even my dad (not a big dessert fan) complimented this perfect dessert. The only thing we're sad about? That we didn't find this gem (open for lunch too) sooner!

Two stars for the wine and the waiters honesty when I asked if the ravioli was frozen (for what it's worth...it is) as opposed to fresh. Minus three stars for the BLAND food, the jacked up prices, and our waiters nose hair. With so many delicious and authentic restaurants in Little Italy, there is no reason to eat here. Go deeper into the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed.

I have been coming here for years and this is my favorite restaurant in Little Italy for an evening meal. There are a couple of other places in Little Italy that do a better lunch, but dinner is the best here. Some of the better restaurants of this neighborhood have either closed or gone seriously downhill in food quality and service. I have embarrassed myself by taking friends to some of the other "supposedly high rated" Little Italy restaurants, but Dalesio's has never disappointed. The best Italian restaurant for dinner in Little Italy - hands down!

I stopped in with a girlfriend to have dinner before a concert at Pier 6. They weren't very crowded, and it was a nice day so we opted to sit on their balcony outdoors. The balcony is a narrow area, but very nice with intimate seating and a pretty cool view of Little Italy. The staff were very quick, efficient, and friendly and made some good recommendations, going over the specials in detail. My friend opted for the salmon special, and I got a veal dish. She said her salmon was good, I didn't try it so I'll take her word for it. As for the veal, it was tender but the lemon was a bit heavy, somewhat overpowering. However, the side of pasta and broccoli complemented it well, and the bread was excellent, so overall it was an enjoyable meal. I may go back, but I think I'd go for one of the pasta dishes next time.

We wanted to experience Little Italy before we left for home, and our hotel staff recommended Dalesio's. It is a short walk from the Marriott Waterfront, so we were game. Arrived at 12:15 (they opened at noon), and we were the only people in the restaurant. Others arrived after a bit, but it was strange to start. I ordered the crabcake special and Ken got the Veal Parmesan. We also said yes to Garlic Bread. Everything took a long time to get to us. If we'd been in a hurry or it was a work lunch then that could cause a problem, but as we were on vacation, no biggie. Garlic bread was good. It had some parm on it and nice overall flavor. My crabcake, which was huge and mostly lump crab, came with a side of penne pasta with sauce (I asked for the Vodka sauce, and it was good) and broccoli. And cocktail sauce. Ick. Ick! I was bummed everything came on the same plate so my crabcake got Vodka sauce and cocktail sauce on it (I'm not usually a freak about foods touching, but I appear to be a crabcake purist). Not the best crabcake I had during my vacation but a solid 'good'. Ken's Veal Parm was pretty tasty. Soft meat, crispy coating and fair amount of sauce and cheese on top. His meal also came with the sides of pasta and broccoli. Decent prices and portion sizes for lunch. I think our whole bill was a bit over $30.

Unfortunately this was not a good choice. The food is very bland and it is not real Italian food. There are not a lot of menu choices either. My husband and I are frequent restaurants and this place is just awful. Looks can be deceiving.

Came here after the kids wanted spaghetti and meatballs after a day at the aquarium. At first, we ended up next door to to dela notte but they didn't have any high chairs to accommodate my son. The menu here doesn't mention any children's menu but the waitress had told me that they can make some things for the children and luckily, spaghetti and meatball was one of them. The kids finished up the pasta so I guess they must have really liked it. I had the bolognese and it was okay. Calamari was okay too. All the food wasn't the greatest of italian food I had but it wasn't the worse. I just appreciated that they were accommodating to customers with young children!

I coordinated and hosted a corporate dinner for 30 at Dalesio's last week. It was a great experience from start to finish. Scheduling/Reservations - this was a breeze. Dalesio's has their catering options clearly listed on their website so it was easy to see what my options were and compare based on budget. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially on the bar options. The staff was great to work with over the phone. Accommodations - once we arrived at Dalesio's, we had a private room reserved upstairs. There was plenty of space for the 30 people, the bar was accessible; bathrooms upstairs so no one had to leave our area. There was plenty of privacy (another group was meeting in another private room but there was no overlap of parties). Service/staff - the staff was absolutely fantastic. Our lead server had a great personality and kept everything running smoothly. They didn't rush us to sit down while folks were networking and the bar service was really efficient. Once we did get seated, the lead waiter explained our food options. He made some great personal recommendations. Additionally, he accommodated some special requests made from the group. The level of service really made the meal fantastic. Food - since this was a sit down dinner with a fixed menu, we didn't get to try many of the food options that Dalesio's had to offer. What we did have, however, went over very well. The portions were generous and the food was traditional Italian, so of course a crowd pleaser. I quite enjoyed the cannolis for dessert especially. I would definitely recommend Dalesio's for large group/corporate events - the whole experience was great.

Went with a group of six. Had not heard of place before and was forced in by a drenching rain storm. We were very happy we did. Service was very good, and the staff was polite. Portions are generous, and the food was exceptional. I had the Bolognese, and it was fabulous. Salads were large and d filling. The only drawback was the bread, which was was very much like white bread. Otherwise I would very much recommend this restaurant. Bon appetite!

Not that great. With so many other good options in Little Italy, my husband and I won't be back here. We arrived at the restaurant around 9 pm on a Saturday - not too late, but the place was pretty dead. I ordered a glass of wine, which never came, but was on the bill. We had salads to start (the caesar was good) and pretty forgettable entrees. The real drawback was the fact that they had the windows open. It was very nice weather outside so of course that made sense, fresh air coming in and all that. However, it was also St. Patrick's Day and there was a constant stream of drunk people parading down Eastern Ave. After the 3rd or 4th time of everyone in the dining room looking at each other trying to figure out how to respond to the loud drunks outside, wouldn't you think management would close the window? Nope - it stayed open the whole time. The food wasn't anything special and the open windows made for an awkward dinner.

"Meh" is really the most appropriate characterization. The meal wasn't BAD, it just wasn't very good either. Appetizers: My Spa Salad was boring and uninspired. Iceberg lettuce with red cabbage shavings; groundbreaking. My partner had the Mozzarella Fresca Fior Dilutte Carciofo and while he didn't hate it, he wasn't impressed either; apparently the cheese wasn't very very flavorful and it was oddly spicy. Main Course: He had the Vitello Franchese, and again...good, but not great. My penne pasta with marinara was a mixed bag. The sauce was actually pretty good; spicy and thick. The pasta however was clearly right out of a box. Piece of advice: if you're going to run an italian restaurant use fresh pasta and tabs bread - both were out of bag/box and both cost you major "come again" points. Coupled with the "meh' status of the rest of the meal, we won't be back. Dalesio's has been a around for quite a while...which leads me to believe that either we hit them on a really bad night or the bar for italian food in Baltimore's Littler Italy is dramatically low. I'd like to think it's the former. It's worth noting that the service, I must say, was very good. The problem is in the kitchen.

The food was near average and the service was ok. We are all Italians and have home cooked meals and this isn't very up to par with this we are used to. It's a bit over priced considering the quality of the food. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it to anyone.

Staying at the Marriott for a conference and went to Dalesio's for lunch. Being from NYC I am very picky with the Italian food that I eat. I ordered the lunch portion of linguine with veal bolognese sauce, and it was DELICIOUS. Very tasty sauce, pasta was cooked perfectly, and a generous portion given for lunch. Our waiter Eric was awesome. Super nice, friendly, and professional. Overall an A+++++ experience.

Recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner here. We were looking for a spot that was within walking distance of hotels in the Inner Harbor / Harbor East area. So we found this place. Here's what I thought: The food was excellent and everybody seemed to be stuffed pretty nicely. The garlic bread was very addicting but I knew I had to pace myself. Being one of the hosts of the function, it would not have been good to be half-comatose before dessert. We decided to offer various dishes including their lasagna which was fairly sizeable. Things finished off with dessert and coffee; I had tiramisu which was very tasty and a great finish to the night. Everyone I talked with thought the food was very tasty. But with this review, I want to express a few thoughts as to why we thought Dalesio's was a great selection for our rehearsal dinner. We were given an upstairs location that accommodated our party of about 55 people quite nicely. I think it can accommodate more but we felt that the room size was just right for us allowing us to mingle while eating. Although it was over 100 degrees out during our function, some of our guests still managed to be brave enough to venture out to the small balcony to look out and get some nice photos. Pretty neat area for people to just hang out during the function. Right outside our room was a bar where people could get nice and happy. The restrooms was just beyond that. The only slight drawback is that there are no elevators, just carpeted stairs. So if there are wheelchair-bound guests (or drunk as a skunk guests later), this detail has to be taken into account although our party managed fine. The service was really on the ball. Drink glasses remained full. I did not hear any complaints at all. A couple dishes did get spilled but that happens all the time and any messes were cleaned up in a blink. The owner did ask if I had any thoughts regarding spots needing improvement and I couldn't really think of anything major. A few days later, I still can't but I guess if he's reading this, perhaps the serving of the entrees could use an extra set of hands? The only reason I bring this up is that I was half done with my pasta and saw that some people still hadn't been served yet. I'm a fast eater so maybe I should have just slowed down. I am not sure how long it took for all of the entrees to be served so I can only say that this was an observation and not really a complaint. That said, no one expressed any complaint about slow service. One final note, I thought that the mingling aspect of the function was getting a little drawn out as originally planned so I figured we could get the ball rolling and serve the food a little sooner. No problem. The food came out a little earlier than we originally planned, and that made everyone happy. That on-the-fly flexibility was very important. The location, food, and space were major attractive features. Just as attractive was the price. Everybody was stuffed and that included my wallet after the damage was done. The pricing was very fair and we had a very clear idea of how much things were going to cost. That said, I was still surprised at how much we were able to do and serve compared to other spaces in the area that we explored. Finally, working with the owner, Paul, made things very easy. We wanted to explore various options and we never received "no" as an answer. We wanted guests to have a choice of food and Paul made it happen. Perhaps we were not demanding enough but more likely, it was that Paul could accommodate what we wanted (short of installing an elevator). He even brought in another cooling unit to help keep things tolerable on that hot evening. It may have petered out at the end I think but we were having too good of a time to notice. I think we also went about a half hour past what we planned but that was no problem. In summary, our experience (and our guests') at Dalesio's was above expectations. Weddings and related functions are notoriously nightmarish to plan. Many times, you get what you pay for. Many times you get ripped off. Many times things don't come out as sold to you. In this case, it was a rare situation of getting more than what you paid for and we could not have been happier.

We selected this restaurant because it was walking distance from our hotel and had decent reviews on trip advisor. Overall, we were satisfied! The staff was friendly and efficient, which was necessary being that it was pretty empty at around 8pm on a Saturday. The food was great- we had the chicken parmesan and the penne alla vodka, along with delicious bread and wine. I would probably go back, as the prices were decent and the food was tasty!

The best crab cakes I had in Baltimore. While I know that might be a sweeping statement, since my only other experience during this trip was at McCormick & Schmick's, I am standing by it. Obrycki's was closed when we wanted to eat there and I was at the Lexington Market too early to try Faidley's cakes. The garlic bread is to die for, I will be attempting to replicate the recipe and will post updates. My sons lasagna was great, my wife's eggplant was at least as good as my moms. My crab cake was about as big as my fist and had not much else but lump crab, it was delicious. This was a quick lunch so we had no time for dessert, had to run to catch the plane out. We will be back next time to try everything else.

I was really impressed with this place and would highly recommend it. My first visit was when we were looking around Little Italy for a restaurant to host our rehearsal dinner. We tried Dalesio's for dinner one Saturday, and i was rather impressed with the service and food. Service was prompt and attentive, and they had no problem customizing an order request (i asked them if we could get the calamari grilled instead of fried, and not only did they do it with no problem, it was some of the best calamari i've ever had). So being impressed with the place, we met and spoke with the owner, Paul Oliver, and it was pretty clear to me that he had his stuff together and would be able to take care of us, and tailor a dinner to what we needed. So we decided to have our rehearsal dinner there. Paul was absolutely fantastic with the entire process. He presented us with their typical event meal options, but when we requested some slight entree and dessert changes, he happily obliged (without any gratuitous surcharges). Also, he was super flexible on our numbers- our issue was we could have anywhere from 30-60 people, and he promised us it would be no problem if we had 30 or 60, and there were no minimum charges for the room or anything like that. The rehearsal dinner itself ended up being fantastic. All the food was great, people were tended to quickly, and folks raved about the service. and when we got the bill, my dad's reaction was, "That's it?" For staged hors d'oeuvres, choice of entree, choice of dessert, plus a good bit of alcohol drank, it came out to about $50/person after tax and tip was included! Extremely reasonable pricing. It was just an absolute pleasure working with him, and he and his crew made one big wedding related item much less stressful to pull off successfully.

I held my wedding rehearsal dinner at Dalesio's in October 2012. The owner, Paul, and his team are so helpful. They totally understand the stress that comes along with planning a wedding (and the budget). Their options are perfect - the pricing is fantastic - and the food is beyond delicious. Our guests were raving about the food and the options, which included several appetizers, choice of 3 entrees, and choice of 3 desserts. Beer and wine was also served for a very reasonable price! We have nothing negative to say about Dalesio's. As a side note, we have also dined there as regular patrons and the food was equally delicious on that occasion too. We are Dalesio's fans for life!

While Boston's Little Italy will always be the benchmark for italian food, Dalesio's does a great job when you cannot get to Boston! This small intimate Italian restaurant offers great food and strong wine list. From start to finish, Dalesio does everything well - and will make you feel like family.
