Haven't written in a while, but I must write about this awesome place! We came here on a Thursday night around 7pm. We were seated right away and since it was a nice day outside, we opted for the seats outdoors. The place is small but had a very warm and welcoming feel. We think there was only 1 waitress but she was so nice and we felt that she did a great job having to come outside to serve us as we were the only ones sitting outside. So props to her for being so accommodating and letting us sit where ever we wanted. I'm guessing it won't be like that on a busy night, but hey, I review what I see. We decided to get the escargot for our appetizer and it didn't disappoint. The garlic butter sauce was on point. They even gave us bread to dip in the sauce! Usually escargot is served in a dish with 6 holes filled with the sauce and escargot inside each hole. I'm not sure if we lucked out, but they put 3 extra escargot on top of the 6. And extra food (or at least what I think is extra food), is always a plus for me! Kudos for those extra three snails! I ordered the Crepe Dauville which is a savory seafood crepe that consisted of crab meat, shrimp and scallops. It also came with brussel sprouts but I asked if they could replace that with spinach and they happily obliged. Bonus points for doing that for me! This crepe was ginormous! I mean like bigger than my head ginormous. And to my oh so pleasant surprise, they did not skimp on the seafood! It was $23 but it was worth every penny. I cut into it and the first thing I see was a huge scallop. I was so surprised that it was so big I let out a little "Whoa look at this big scallop!" Good thing we were outside, because I was not very classy. Haha. Anyway, the shrimps were also huge and the crab meats were big hunks of lump crab meat. I mean I could only finish half of the crepe and I like to think of myself as a big eater, but alas, this crepe defeated me. That's ok though because I took the rest to go and plan on defeating it later. It may have won the battle last night, but i'm winning that war today. Ok, but I digress. The crepe was amazing. I can't say any more about it. After that, we ordered a creme brulee (sp?), and nutella crepe. I mean it was a perfect end to a perfect dinner. I will definitely go again next time and try other entrees. Bottom line: Go here! You won't be disappointed. I also think it's a good way to impress date ;-) Get it! ;-)

"" Today I had the mahi mahi over wild mushroom orzo and just when I thought it couldn't tantalize my taste buds any further, the next bite proved me wrong as the taste of fresh mango sauce was there! The Crepe Du Jour never disappoints each and every time I have been eating their over the past 9 years. The service was impecible and th...

I revisited Crepe du Jour for Valentine's day. We didn't expect the prix fix menu but it actually was a nice surprise because it took the guess work out of ordering. As I remembered, the place was intimate if not cramped...but it didn't distract from the dining experience. Everyone there seemed to be really enjoying themselves and the people they were with, as were we. The menu started with a glass of sparkling wine with chambord (very nice start, woke my mouth up). The next course Chausson de from age de Chèvre (goat cheese and spinach in puff dough drizzled w/ balsamic truffles) and Crepe au saumon fumee (smoked salmon served in a cold crepe, avocado, capers, red onion, and creme fraiche). Both starters were amazing. Particularly the salmon one. The smokiness of the salmon, the tart pungent taste of the capers, the creme fraiche adding some sweet creaminess....perfection. The other starter was no slouch either-strongly rich vegetable flavor of the spinach, sweet acridness of balsamic vinaigrette and the delicate soft creamy goat cheese were all perfectly balanced tastes together. Main courses followed next-Duck for my husband and Beef filet both perfectly cooked. Crispy outer skin of the duck, Tender juicy meaty morsels of beef. Savory goodness. For dessert, two heart shaped mousse/gelatin like things. perfectly ok, nothing super special. Like my first visit to Crepe du Jour, I was bowled away with the food. Unlike the last time, the service wasn't spot on. Although having a reservation, when we arrived we weren't seated. Not typically a big deal but in a place as tight as this one, we were continuously asked to move by patrons trying to leave, waiters trying to do their job, etc. Once we were seated, we weren't greater for over 5 mins, people kept coming by asking if anyone had been by and then going off to "get" our waiter but didn't offer to bring us a drink, a menu, nothing. No one explained we could only order of the prix fix menu so we picked a bunch of items off the regular menu (b/c it was given to us) to then have to regroup and figure out what we wanted on the other. After our waiter finally acknowledged us, we still didn't get drinks for another 5 mins. There were huge breaks between every course as if it was surprising we had finished the last. They were clearly overwhelmed by the surge of people there for valentine's day. Despite the service hiccups, we had an amazing meal, an amazing time...it was just amazing.

6 stars if yelp would let me! Service was fantastic and the food was some of the best I've ever had. My wife and I got the red pepper bisque soup, eggs Chesapeake and the crepe du jour 'oceanique'. Both plates were amazing and worth the drive from DC.

I came to Crepe du Jour for dinner several weeks ago. I made a last minute reservation online, but was able to get in at the desired time. It's a small restaurant, and, as per usual, parking in Mt. Washington is tricky, but it's worth the added effort. I have to say that it has some of the best french onion soup that I have ever had. I snagged a bite of my companion's crepe, which was a special that day and featured various seafood, and it was also really, really good. I got a little overzealous by ordering the soup AND beef bourguignon, so my of my beef was wrapped up for leftovers. It was good, but the crepe and soup were stand outs. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area!

So, I went today and used a groupon. I have to say that I had some trepidations prior d/t the reviews i read here, esp. vis a vis the groupon. however, i had a great time. i did call ahead and make a reservation and made sure to mention the groupon. we got there and there was outdoor seating available and it was lovely but i wasn't feeling too well so i opted to sit inside. the interior is very well decorated and romantic. the ambiance was pretty good overall, with some authentic french music including one song that was so good even madelein peyroux did a cover of it (at least according to my franco-phile lady friend). oddly, the music was playing off of a computer running pandora. it was funny b/c at several points ads were playing and some general computer noises (like the windows chime) was heard. this was pretty funny and it's not like we were having a "serious" brunch anyway. the waiter was great. i had run 17 miles that morning and i was also hungover. he refilled my water glass so much that i thought about just getting an IV to make his life easier. The lady also had a coffee and he refilled that too. the crepes were great. i've only been to paris once but i had a feeling like these were authentic. i had the sicillienne and she had the norvigienne. both were tasty but i think the mozzarella actually made mine too chewy (not their fault tho, that's just how the cheese is naturally). the dessert crepe brought me back to the christmas i spent in paris. my final word on the place is this: i understand that a lot of ppl here encountered some difficulty w/ the owner, but honestly, having been to france, I'm pretty sure that's to be expected. at least you know that it's authentic.

I have been to Crepe du Jour several times but it was a couple years until my last visit in September. Some things must have changed as the savory crepes were not as good as I remember. Service also went down hill as well. I think I will stick to a dessert crepe next time and maybe after dinner at Mt Wash tavern or one of the other places there. You cannot mess up a nutella and banana crepe (I hope). Be sure to check restaurant.con before you go.

I had an enjoyable experience the first time my fiancé and I ate here, so we decided to go back for Valentine's Day. I made a reservation, which had to be secured with a credit card. Unfortunately, an unexpected snow storm hit. About 2 hour before our reservation, we watched out our front door as cars and SUVs struggled to get up the hill out of our neighborhood, losing traction, slipping, and sliding all the way back down. He looked at me. "We can't go out in this." With very little food in the house (and both of us looking forward to a romantic meal after we'd spent the past week apart) canceling our reservation was the LAST thing we wanted to do, but there was no choice. I reluctantly called the restaurant and when I said I needed to cancel because of the snow, the man who answered the phone said "Hold on while I get the owner." I explained to the owner that we couldn't make it because of the snow and he informed me he was going to charge me $45. (There was no mention of such a charge when I made the reservation through Open Table.) I would have understood a $10 or even $15 charge, given that it's Valentines Day on a Saturday, but $45?? I argued with him that was unfair given the circumstances. He spat with irritation, "Everyone else is here. Why can't you come?" "Because there is three inches of snow on the road and our street hasn't been plowed yet." "Fine. What's your name?" I gave it to him. "Fine."--AND HE HUNG UP ON ME. I was speechless at the rudeness I dealt with from the OWNER of this establishment. I liked the place, and we probably would have gone back numerous times. But this was absolutely unacceptable behavior and I will never go back.

I'm confident enough to call myself a regular at Crepe Du Jour. I went there 2x in 5 days this week and I absolutely love it. I brought 4 of my lady friends to enjoy the taste of France. They were all equally in heaven and basically swooning over each menu item. I also went to Valentines Day. There's too much to say about this place and why it rules, you can get anything on the menu and not be disappointed. I've only stuck with the savory and sweet crepes though, nothing on the entree side like steak or duck. I'm sure they are good too but if you go to a crepe restaurant GET CREPES! Marie Antoinette, Oceanic, Florentine, Jura, calamari as an app are my favorite. And the dessert one I usually create my own and add a bunch of sweets like Nutella, banana, strawberry, brown sugar, honey, etc etc! Just a heads up, the service can be slow so expect to relax and soak up quality time with your comrades. The servers have always been great and treated us exquisitely despite longer waits. The restaurant is inside an old house and there isn't a large amount of seating so I recommend making a reservation. Mt Washington itself is a very cutesy area so it's great to go there during the day, check out the Whole Foods, shop at the chic little stores and finish off the evening with CDJ.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Baltimore. Growing up not too far, my best friend and I used to go there very often. The food is very reminicent of the owner's herritage which comes out with every bite. I would suggest this place.

Lovely find on "main street" in Mt Washington, which is pretty much just a few restaurants, a tavern, and a mix of Palm Reading and Yoga stores. On a Sunday afternoon (sweltering) this one seemed like the most appealing building and inviting staircase with a menu on the street. Excellent array of crepe dishes of which I sample a savory and sweet, just the right amount of food and not terribly expensive. The place was pretty deserted so I got full attention and fast service, they were quite nice.

This is my favorite restaurant for upscale dining in Baltimore. I really enjoyed the crepe special of large shrimp and crab filled crepe. They used jumbo lump crab and the cream sauce was seasoned with old bay. My son always orders the steak entree, since he has the unique habit of choosing the most expensive menu option whenever we dine out. The dessert crepes would make an exceptional brunch option. The drink options sounded tasty, but we stuck with wine, which our waiter substituted a more expensive bottle rather than what we ordered. The bottle of wine cost more than both of our entrees. I recommend the cheese appetizer, with homemade white crusty bread. The banana in the desert crepe was covered with carmelized brown sugar, and a dollup of whipped cream. I would have loved to have a scoop of vanilla ice cream over the crepe.

I have been eating at Crèpe of the Day regularly for several years, and I love the place. You can get all sorts of savory and sweet crèpes to your heart's content, but don't overlook the other menu items and specials... great as well. Service is great and they play French radio!

cute, cozy place, yummy food, great service, love the seafood crepe, nice wine selection. The tables are a bit close together, but as long as we're all friendly it's ok. ps: oh and they have gluten-free crepes! just as tasty

Went tonight b/c we wanted to eat outside on a beautiful 74 degree evening. The kids all had crepes and they were huge and a great value off the kids menu. Wife had moules (mussles) with yummy frites (fries) and declared them better than the trendier "Le Garage." Service was great, Ukrainian young lady was very attentive and warm. My beef bourginion was just OK. But the "French 75" drink more than made up for it. I'll be back.

EXCELLENT casual French-bistro style meal!! Cozy, nicely French-country style little restaurant. Menu offers good selection of savory crepes, dessert crepes, and non-crepe entrees and deserts. Small but nice selection of wines and beer- and most wine is availabe by the glass. My son and I had the steak frites-- really tender, nicely charred, perfectly cooked hanger steak, crispy, crunchy, fluffy-interior pomme frite, so nicely seasoned with salt, pepper, and fresh parsley, no kecthup needed!, with a nice, fresh mesclun mix salad, with a zingy mustardy-vinegrette and creamy goat cheese..mmmm...steak was covered in caramlized onions and rich, meaty port wine reduction..mmm My wife had a seafood crepe- nice, light yet toothsome crepe, filled with jumbo, tender shrimp and sweet lumps of Maryland crab, with crisp-steamed asparagus spears and fresh tomato in a creamy wine sauce...mmmm Desert- Crepe Tropical, split three ways- delicate, vanilla-scented crepe folded over melty Nutella, topped with fresh black and rasp- berries, and rich vanilla ice cream. Mmmm. We had two very nicely priced, yummy glasses of a young Cote du Rhone to with. Service was friendly- a bit slow, but otherwise accurate, polite, and helpful. Price range- very reasonable. For the meal above, a bit over 100 bucks including tip. Not bad at all!! You can eat cheaper if you want- as cheap as 5 bucks for a crepe with butter and sugar! Basic crepe entreees are under 10 bucks for the most part. We'll be back!! Maybe just for dessert-- if we had more room, I'd have demolished that Crepe Tropical on my own!!!

I visited Crepe Du Jour for the first time on February 16. My two friends and I each sampled different items on the menu including the French onion soup, the calamari, two savory crepes, and a dessert crepe. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. The restaurant is small and cozy. But on the day in question, the place had run out of water, and there was no way to wash one's hands after using the restroom--this was reported to us by the gentleman at the next table and one of my friends confirmed it. So even though the food was memorable, this dearth of water was a potential health problem, and pitchers should have been placed inside the restrooms for customers and staff. We saw several delivery men toting heavy vats of boiling water. But I'm surprised the place didn't close for the afternoon until this thorny problem was solved.

This wonderful restaurant seated my large party of 15 immediately after we left the Mt. Washington Tavern when we were insulted by their staff. We were so impressed with the friendly staff and the food was absolutely AMAZING! I had their Cote de Beouf and it tasted incredible, while my son had not 1 but 2 of their delicious crepes. Do not be fooled the relatively small size of the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The dessert crepes are insanely delicious. Their staff made my birthday party very memorable. Thank you so much!

Crêpe Du Jour is a great place to introduce someone to French food. Though mediocre by Paris standards, it's a real find in the Baltimore area, and I've enjoyed every meal I've eaten there. Our server was very sweet -- a little too friendly for my taste, but attentive and professional nonetheless. In general I order a salad for my entree, since I know I'll want a dessert crepe and two crepes in one day seems a little decadent. Their salads are classically French, composed of artfully arranged, highly flavorful ingredients and served with light, mustardy vinaigrette. The last time I visited, I saw they had added a number of different mussel dishes, and I followed my personal rule: Order Mussels Anytime You Can! The Moules Marinere, another typical French dish, were divine, swimming in buttery, herbed broth and served properly with frites, not bread. My friend ordered the Crepe Florentine, which I tasted -- warm and flavorful, with a pleasing combination of tastes and textures. We also shared a Salade Verte, since neither of our entrees came with one; I understand about mine, but in a French cafe a savory crepe is always served with a light green salad, and it's disappointing that Crepe du Jour is following the American tradition of charging for all the extras. Dessert: well, if you know how to make crepes (hint: don't start at IHOP!) it's pretty hard to mess up a warm, thin pancake filled with cream and sweets. Again, I wish they would follow the French penchant for simplicity; their dessert crepes are served on Happy New Year 2006 plates (?!) and drizzled and sprinkled liberally with chocolate and sugar. Still, the ice cream was cold, the fruit warm and the crepe light and crispy around the edges: the perfect way to cap off an evening of beautiful conversation.

A solid little joint in my parents' neighborhood in Baltimore City. Out of the other outposts on Sulgrave, this is likely the best option for the best price. There is a great array of different types of French inspired cuisine, but people mainly opt for the crepes. From what I gather, the seafood crepes are what people rave about. I decided to go with a classic Bistro entree of a hangar steak and potatoes. It was good but certainly not the best I've tasted. The service the night we dined was not entirely up to par considering there were at most five or six tables with guests. They need improvement in this department. Otherwise, I thought the sections of the meal were timed correctly and the quality of the food was better than anywhere else in Mount Washington. I would definitely recommend dining here for anyone visiting the neighborhood or looking for a nice place to take someone out on a date.

Crepes were delicious but the manager or owner in charge was rude and harsh. Felt like we were inconviencing him by coming in. The crepes thankfully, we're delicious but I don't think we'll be coming back too often. Pretty small space inside also

No complaints whatsoever. The wait staff was prompt. Plenty of seating available inside and out. Wonderful decor and the strip it is located on is lovely. My steak and eggs were Cooked perfectly and my honestly potatoes were delicious. My girlfriend's Benedict (she is a Benedict fiend) says it was the best Benedict she's ever eaten. Worth it. Not overly priced. Fresh fruit on our desert crepe.

I like dessert....okay....I LOVE DESSERT. The dessert crepes are delicious here. I have never been disappointed with the dessert crepes at Crepe Du Jour. After stuffing our faces with Indian food, my friend and I went to Mt. Washington for crepes. Weird combo, but he has never had crepes and I was craving. I ordered the crepe st. germaine. It was a simple crepe with apples and ice cream. The apple pie a la mode of the crepe world. Delicious. My friend got the crepe Mt. Washington and greatly enjoyed it. Service was quick and kind. One server, many tables. But, he did a great job in making us feel welcome. Great place. Only wth about this was the plates. They were New Years plates that said 2000 all over them. If I recall correctly, tomorrow evening will be the mark of 2010. These plates are dated.....literally. Haha, but it's okay because the crepes rock and service is awesome.

Crepe du Jour delivered above and beyond expectations, definitely. It's a small, plain looking place from the outside, with a slightly kitchy atmosphere in the dining room. I was hoping that the kitchen would exceed the standards of the decor, and was pleasantly surprised that they did - by a long shot. As a starter, I had one of the better soups I've had in a long time: backfin crab meat and spinach swimming in a slightly thickened shrimp and lobster broth with a touch of dry sherry. With a little bit of baguette on the side, this was a really good beginning. The grilled hanger steak with a port wine sauce, grilled shallots, and pomme frites was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Pork Dijonnaise got a thumbs up, as well, and the Crepe Oceanique (savory crepe filled to brimming with shrimp, crab, and scallops) was a hit with the ladies at the table. Of course, dessert crepes were ordered all 'round and met with approval. Our server was attentive and affable the entire evening, and with drinks, wine, starters, entrees, and desserts, the bill was rather reasonable. Crepe du Jour is definitely a viable choice for a weekend dinner or brunch.

I made my first trip to Crepe du Jour this weekend on the recommendation of my cousin who lives in Mt. Washington. It will not be my last visit! We were surprised to find it so quiet on a Saturday morning, but perhaps the weather kept many people from venturing out. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was good and the crepes were seriously delicious. I ordered the Crepe Marseillaise, filled with salmon, spinach, and Swiss cheese. It was perfect. It did remind me of waking up late in Paris and stumbling out to get galettes for breakfast. :) I expect on a more normal day this place could get really busy. This will now become a regular stop when I'm in Baltimore!

I usually come here during lunchtime and have always left full and happy. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, and they offer some outside seating as well. At lunch at least, they have a pretty big selection of not only crepes, but also offer sandwiches and salads as well. I recently enjoyed a tasty salad that included fresh greens, tomatoes, candied walnuts, and fried goat cheese; so so good that I finished every morsel of it. I also really enjoy ordering lemonade to drink because it is the only place that I have ever been to that lets you decide how sweet to make it; basically they bring you a cup of lemon juice with ice and water and a container of sugar and you add as much as you want. It's hard not to get a dessert crepe when I come too because they have offerings like warm crepe with apples, cinnamon, caramel, and vanilla ice cream as well as things like your typical nutella and fruit crepes. I've noticed that the dessert crepes are pretty much always served on plastic new years 2000 plates though which is kind of bazaar. The most recent time I ate at Crepe Du Jour my table ordered an ice tea, a lemonade, a salad, a basic crepe, and a dessert crepe and the total before tip was somewhere in the mid to upper 40s so it's not too expensive especially considering it seems they use pretty high quality ingredients but not a cheap lunch place either. Service is usually good, though the typical pace is pretty slow and I have found myself waiting around for things on occasion like my check or to even be seated once I walk in.

Ok. The kitchen also makes missteps. The duck salad (Perigord) is forgettable in almost every respect. Except in price. With pretty much every dinner entree approaching $20 (including the salads), if you do order something that's a bit meh, you'll resent it. Front of house staff continue to be friendly and responsive.

Awesome... Started with the gazpacho with lump crabmeat. Soup was filled with flavor and perfectly seasoned. Had the seafood special crepe and it was outstanding!!! Firm, flavorful shrimp and lovely, lump crabmeat with summer vegetables in a light cream sauce which wasn't thick or gloppy. Very ample portion sizes. A true winner!!!!

Crêpe Du Jour, je t'adore! Very cute and cozy French restaurant with an understated name. My cousins brought me here for crêpes but my gluttonous side that relishes in French food couldn't order just a crêpe. We went on a Sunday evening and there was only a handful of other tables in the dining room so it was fairly quiet. I can imagine the noise level going way up when the place is packed because it's so small. I really wanted to try the Chausson de Fromage de Chevre, but the waitress said they were out of pastry puffs so I went with the escargot instead. The escargot here is cooked out of its shell. Tomatoes are thrown into the butter garlic sauce to give it a slight tang. The baguette served with it was toasted--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For dessert, I ordered the Crêpe Royal and a café au lait. The crêpe was very thin which is exactly how I like it, but the fruit wasn't chopped up finely enough. I tasted more strawberries in one bite than I did crêpe and chocolate. One of my cousins ordered the Crêpe Orientale and he complained that it didn't have enough eggs. My other cousin ordered the Crêpe Larsac which had good flavoring but the duck was overcooked. Overall, an okay first experience but I wouldn't mind coming back again.

Had an absolutely delicious meal here a few weeks ago. Everything was incredible. I can't say enough about the food. We went during restaurant week so stuck with the pre-planned menu. Mine was the seafood crepe. INCREDIBLE. Big globs of crabmeat and sauce and shrimp spilling out from all sides. It was huge but I put a pretty good dent in it. The only thing putting a dent in my evening was the chatty guy on his phone next to us. I mean, this is not a cell phone chatting kind of place... yet again, we did bring the baby so perhaps we are just as rude. Although I have to say, she was way better behaved than the fellow on the phone. We opted to take dessert home, though, just in case she started to lose her cool. Though I think our couch now has a chocolate stain or two, I don't regret it. I don't even remember what it was called. All I know is it was a warm crepe with chocolate and strawberries. I'm sure the presentation would've been better if we'd eaten it in the restaurant but it was insanely good anyway. I will be back for more crepes one day very soon.

So I think I have an issue in that I THINK I like crepes, but I actually don't. They look good, they smell good, but when it comes to eating them I'm just never completely impressed. So, as to not penalize Crepe du Jour for my pickiness, I'm just going to rate it on the restaurant itself, my dining mates experience, and the individual ingredients that made up my crepe. 1. The restaurant itself: I find Mt. Washington and all its restaurants to be completely adorable, and Crepe du Jour is no different. It's right next to the Desert Cafe, so I was thinking it would be the same size (e.g. tiny) but it was actually a decent size. I want to say there were at least 15 tables. It's very French country inside, very cute. Service was good, although there only appeared to be two people handling tables so it was slow at times. 2. The 3 friends I ate with all seemed very happy with their crepes (they got: crepe lorraine, crepe napoleon, and crepe florentine). 3. I got the crepe marseillaise (salmon, spinach, and swiss). The salmon was good, there was a pretty decent size filet in the crepe. The spinach was bright green so it was really fresh, and the swiss was good. They have a lot of other options besides crepes including sandwiches, soups, salads, steak, tilapia, calamari, mussels, escargot, etc. The sweet crepes sound amazing (I'm hoping my crepe dissatisfaction only extends to savory crepes and not sweet crepes). All in all, I think it's a good place to try, and would be an amazing place to go if you actually really like crepes.

After our first great experience here, we tried it again and it was not great. We ordered the same thing as the first time, and everything came out cold and slow....and the place was not packed. Also, our waiter (tall skinny guy with glasses) was a JERK! Also, don't order the lemonade. They brought me a cup with lemon juice, a jar of sugar and a water bottle. The waiter actually laughed at me as he set it down. I guess I really looked shocked. I'm not sure we will be back.

Une leffe biere s'il vous plait. Those trappist monks concocted a unique taste when they first brewed a cold leffe blond beer which, to this day, instantly transports your taste buds back to the cafes of Paris. The friars are rolling in their graves knowing their tradition has been sold out to the Anheiuser Bush goliath. Americanization is evident in many of the dishes at Crepe du Jour, but most of the menu is a french cafe inspired bargain. It doesn't try too hard, and the food is a rung lower than Petit Louis. Crepe du Jour offers enough diversity from the inevitable crepe themed menu to be a neighborhood gem for the charming city enclave of Mt. Washington, No hard alcohol, mostly mass production French wines, and decent beers compliment the food. Brace yourself for a carb bomb if you get a crepe, and any crepe dessert is an absurd guilty affair. Grab an outdoor seat, skip the Perrier and the entree crepes, split the dessert crepe topped with ice cream and chocolate, and slip into your very own powdered sugar coma.

Atmosphere: (B) Cute, simple, small cafe-like space. Food: (A) I came here on a late Sunday morning for brunch with my sister and had the an omelette with spinach, tomatoes and feta cheese. The omelette itself was just ok, but the breakfast potatoes were delicious. But the BEST part of brunch was the crepe valentine that my sister and I split... Bananas, strawberries, and nutella in a crepe topped with whipped cream - SOOO SOOO good.. then again, put nutella in anything and i'm in heaven... :) Service: (A) Waiter was quick, friendly, and even had a sense of humor. No complaints here. Overall: (A-)

The food is average; nothing to swoon over. The biggest reason for the 1 star was the poor customer service. This wasn't from a recent visit, but it still stands out and I would never go back because of it. It sounds like others have experienced poor service there as well. Here was the situation: A group of friends about 5 or 6 of us had just finished dinner at a nearby restaurant. We thought it would be nice to have some crepes and hang out a little bit more so we wandered over. Like others have mentioned this is a casual dining place. The place was not crowded, I think there was only one or 2 other tables with customers and it was a weeknight. Not everyone in our group wanted crepes. The man, who I believe was the owner, told us that all of us had to order a crepe or we couldn't be served. How ridiculous! Money is money regardless of how little it is, but I guess it's not a big deal to them. So we left & had to cut our night out short. Boo!

Ate there for lunch. It was a cute little place with charm and French music. Great service too and the food came fast! I got the crepe with turkey, Swiss cheese, tomatoes and spinach. Super delicious! But the seafood omelet was a bit bland and crab meat was tough. I wish I'd gotten a sweet crepe!

I went there this past weekend with my boyfriend for his birthday. It was awesome, for whatever reason the restaurant was pretty empty. Our waiter Scott was awesome and all of the food was delicious. Very cute cozy place for a nice long dinner or date. And the price compared to other french locations in Baltimore and DC was very reasonable, especially for the portion size. I will definitely be back. We got the french onion soup, mussels, a savory crepe (Marie Antoinette= delicious), sweet crepe, and creme brulee. All of it was fabulous.

The owner is horrible!!! We ve ate there before but this time came with a groupon on Tue @9:30pm. The first question to us, instead of hello, was do you have a groupon, and if so did we make a reservation. The place was half empty with pleanty of open tables and with half hour before official closing time, it didnt appear that it would get really crowded real quick. After we told them that we didnt make a reservation, the owner, Mustafa told us that the kitchen is closed!!! He told us there is nothing he can do about it. Yet, people in front of us, just sat down and just opened the menu!!! The owner gave us more attitude and told us its not his problem. We left and we ll never come back, or at least not until the ownership will change.

The service in here is atrocious. We came on a weekday, and we were the only customers there. They gave us our menus and drinks fairly quickly, then took huge lengths of time between doing every little thing. It took about 15 minutes for the waiter to come back to take our order. It took about 25 minutes to get our food (our 2 entrees consisted of a salad and a crepe). The food was pretty good. When I took the salt shaker to try to get some salt on the crepe, I noticed there were 4 ANTS alive in the salt shaker. I pointed this out to a waitress who came by our table... instead of doing something about she just SWITCHED our salt shaker with the table over to us and walked away. After dessert and getting our check, it took about 20 minutes for them to go to the back and run our card. Absolutely disappointing place, we won't be back for sure.

We were happy to drop by this place. Like some of the other restaurants in Mt. Washington, it's a small place, sort of like you're eating in someone's house. There were many interesting things on the menu. I chose a mozzarella and pesto panini, which was on the small side. It was fine, but oddly tasteless. The side of fries, on the other hand, were plentiful, thin-cut, and great - sort of like Boardwalk fries. My wife enjoyed her omelet (also on the smaller size compared to some restaurants) and home fries. For dessert, I had a crepe with strawberries, bananas, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. It was pretty good, not any greater than the sum of its parts, which are simple. It wasn't "to die for" or decadent. Maybe I'm not a crepe person. Service was friendly, but forgetful, which is not good when there are few people in the place. Additionally, there was a charge from another table on our check.. Other posters' complaints about management were supported by unnecessary warnings on the menu, including a $10 minimum charge and a note that people coming in only for dessert will only be served after those who also order dinner are served. Ouch! We would like to try this place again.

This is one of our favorite close by places for dinner. We usually stick to getting savory crepes as they are less expensive than their entrees and they never disappoint. The service is always friendly and good. And the Crepe Provencale and Valentine are my go-to dishes. Would highly recommend it.

Hands down, this is the best French Bistro i have ever been to. Went there on Sat night and had Crepe Oceanique...it had lump crab meat with shrimp and aspargus..with chopped up tomatoes and onions....in a white wine cream sause....TO DIE FOR!! For dessert I had Crepe Mt. Washington, again AMAZING!!! From the ambience to the friendly staff and of course the food, it was a great dining experince. Definitly going back!!!

A delight in the heart of a quaint little neighborhood. The crepes are good, add wine and outdoor dining in the evening ... an overall magnifique expérience!

Such a great place to go for crepes and cappuccino. Next time I will try the savory crepes. The staff was friendly, and atmosphere was an odd combination of elegant and mellow. Our waiter was super-nice. I ordered the crepes suzette, and out of everything else on the table, it really was the best because of its simplicity. The quality of the ingredients was obvious, down to the lemon, butter, and -- of course -- Gran Marnier. Our party ordered something with Nutella and strawberries, which also deserves recommendation. The neighborhood is really fun to walk around in, too. It's not quite in the middle of bustling Baltimore, but if you want to take a quick break from the harbor and enjoy a fun walk around botiques, then this is where you should go.

My partner and I have always loved the food at Crepe du Jour. It's not too terribly priced, and the waitress is always so friendly. I swear, she reminds me of a pixie and I have absolutely zero complaints about her attitude or service. However,I think the problem is that she's the ONLY waitress working there. We've never seen anyone else, and this was our fifth visit in the past 3 months. There were about 14 other parties in the restaurant last Thursday night, and only one person (this wonderful waitress) to serve them all. The manager (a very large man) was stomping around the restaurant the entire time, scolding her for not being quick enough and only assisting her with three tables. When a guest would say hello or ask for something, he would either ignore them or drop what they had asked for on the table and rush off. It was unprofessional, and quite honestly, it ruined this establishment for me. I had heard rumors that he was a total jerk, and from what I've seen, he's lived up to everything that's been said. Unfortunately, as much as I love the food, I most likely will not be going back. My last experience here left a very bad taste in my mouth to say the least.

Sooo I ate at Crepe Du Jour today. The food was good, not great but good ... wait, before I go any further, because this is important to my review I should mention I had a Groupon coupon. You all know them by now right? Ok moving on ... both my girlfriend and I were served good food, the server was polite. We ate outside which is a real bonus for me especially on a nice day, but here is where I get on my soapbox and why Crepes Du Jour only gets two stars. My Groupon was for a $25 value. First they expect you to make a reservation if you have a Groupon, ok a little weird for a casual dining place but ok. Seriously though you gotta make a reservation, I actually had to go outside and call in a reservation for for my arrival which would be in less than 5min because I was already there. WTF? Here's my real gripe, my actual bill which was about $33, after the $25 deduction was roughly $8. THAT'S"S GREAT RIGHT!?!? Well not so if you don't normally carry cash on you and they bring you your bill and you try to pay with a card and they have a $10 limit which they do not mention and is not written or mentioned anywhere on the menu either. A $10 card limit?!?!? Hey we actually blew through more than $30 dollars, you still get your money from Groupon! We are quickly moving towards being a cashless society people and you have a $10 card limit?!?! GIVE ME A BREAK! Seriously, I love to eat out. I tip real generously. But this left me conflicted. After having to run around the corner to an ATM (The owner himself mentioned I do this, Dick!) to get cash, pay a $3 service fee to get my cash, I felt as if I wanted to deduct the $3 from the tip I was going to leave our server. After all this $10 limit is essentially a punishment placed on both the customer and should be shared by everyone involved right? I decided I could not punish the waitress, after all it's not her fault her employer is a Dick. So I tipped her, tipped well I might add, well even by the full bill amount. But I will never go here again because of this silly credit card limit. I feel strongly that if you are going to accept credit cards then you must also accept them at any sum. $1, $4, or $25, you gotta take it all or just don't take em period (which still sucks but at least it has some integrity). Get over it business owners, it's the 21st century. Two stars because the owner of Crepes Du Jour is a greedy, unaccommodating, anti-customer, piece of crap. Your crepes aren't even that good. However the gazpacho was delicious!

GROUPON USERS BEWARE. I wish I had read Yelp reviews before I went to Crepe Du Jour. As the other review mentioned, I had a Groupon to use. We arrive at a VERY casual restaurant to find out that I need to have an advance reservation to be able to use my Groupon. The owner greeted us without a hello to say I need a reservation because they've already had too many Groupons used today and they are too busy. The place was only 1/3 full! I will go back again so I can use this Groupon but I doubt I'll eat there after that. Note to Owner: don't participate in Groupon any more. Every other restaurant I used them at didn't have your "requirements" for use.

Crêpe du Jour is the perfect place for a quiet meal. My girlfriend and I have stopped in for brunches, lunches, dinners in groups of 3 to 8, and prix fixe specials, and we have never been less than impressed. The food at Crêpe du Jour is rich and satisfying. On top of the quality, the speed of service is impressive; most smaller restaurants with food this good have a considerable wait time, but Crêpe du Jour has never kept us hungry at our table. Their quaint location and warm atmosphere, combined with a very attentive staff and quiet dining room, make Crêpe du Jour one of our go-to choices whenever we're in the Mt. Washington area.

As far as the dinner menu is concerned, the portions are big and the food is good, but I feel like they are overpriced.

My friend and I sat outside at one of their sidewalk tables. They have Crpes both sweet and savory. The place was so cute in Mt. Washington Village. I would love to go back when all the lil stores are open and check them out. I had La Napolon (brie, mushrooms & artichokes) 8.99 plus a fresh brewed tea. It came with a some sort of little side salad. My friend had the Crpe Merguez (beef & lamb sausage, eggs & cheese) 10.99 and substituted goat cheese for an extra 2.75 It was great and I will go back. The desert crepes sounded to die for!

This is a cute little French restaurant that is surprisingly reasonably priced. Save room for a crepe after your meal: try the nutella or lemon crepes, both are delicious!

Crep Du Jour is a french restaurant located in the quiet Mt. Washington neighborhood. Good place to go for breakfast or to obey your sweet tooth.
