We took a party of 25-30 (booked in advance) and were given plenty of wait staff. Food, drinks, and desserts were all amazing. Carraba's never disappoints.

Nice atmosphere and great food. Much better than that Olive place. Your best bet is to go during the week. It can be a mad house on the weekend sometimes.

I came in for dinner yesterday and i must say...WOW they really stepped up their game.... Back when this location was owned by a previous manager you could tell it was going down hill..... the service was bad, food was bad, management was weird, and when it rained the water would leak through the ceiling onto the kitchen where everyone could see.. now it is just amazing, the renovations were well deserved and invested appropriately. i promised my self i would never return to this location, however i drove by the other day and saw the new renovations outside and i was like, ok? maybe ill give them a shot, they cared enough to finally fix the outside maybe the inside is beter now to... The scallops i ordered were delicious everything looked clean inside, the staff was very friendly, the bread was delicious! i have absolutely no complaints and i look forward to those days when i do not feel like cooking because i am surely going to drive right up the street and enjoy this brand new location.... I really am so happy they made the changes!!!!!

Awesome. Stepped their game up. This is definitely a new go to Italian Franchise spot for me and my family. The service is expedient to say the least. Our bread was hot, our salad was chilled, our appetizers were fast and hot. They have definitely improved everything at this location. I am extremely satisfied. The server was very very attentive, and this was during the dinner rush! My wife and I are both looking at each other feeling impressed by the food and service. I don't remember service and food being that great here a year ago, but this spot is on the money.

I have visited Carrabas on at least 4 occasions. Each time I have been pleased with the food, service, and wait time. The food had been good ~ tasty and flavorful ~ & I have never been disappointed with the wait staff who are always attentive and ready to please. When I go, I always order my drink of choice at this establishment -blackberry sangria - it is not very strong but it's just a light enough buzz for me. Good Italian food at a reasonable cost.

I came here on a Monday night a few weeks back. As we pulled up I wondered why there were so many cars in the parking lot. I didn't feel like cooking, I guess no one else did either. Once inside I realized they have something called Amore Mondays where you can get a three course meal starting at $12.99. I ordered from the Amore menu. I had calamari, soup and shrimp and scallop linguine alla vodka. The calamari was well seasoned, but not overly battered. The pasta was really good. It wasn't overcooked, which tends to happen at chain restaurants, the vodka sauce was creamy and they did not skimp on the shrimp or scallops. I'll be back!

Ameci Mondays... It's just too good of the deal to pass up! I had a gift card just sitting around and I ventured online to order the curbside carryout, I love that I can do that btw. I noticed on the website that they offer ameci Mondays, hmmmm well who doesn't like a three course meal?! Their prices range from 12-18 dollars depending on what your choice of main dish is. Looking at the options we decided on the grilled chicken (small) with garlic potatoes as a side, for my app I chose the meatball and ricotta Flatbread and house salad. My husband got his chicken dinner with the Sicilian chicken soup and the calamari. For my daughter we got the kids meal chicken with butter noodles and an orange juice (they didn't have her apple juice but she was ok lol). This was an epic feast! Both of our apps were big! I was really surprised as we've been douped by portions at other places offering the multi course meals but not here! My Flatbread was thin, crispy and yummy, easily the size of a personal pizza lol. My husband's calamari was so big we had leftovers. The chicken was amazing as always and the mashed potatoes put any I've ever made to shame. They gave us two mini loaves of sliced bread along with the oil and spices (I call this my Italian butter) I'm glad they gave us two because although I love my husband dearly.. I do not like to share bread. I was really impressed with the kids meal size, it was an amazing deal for only 6 dollars! So after we demolished our food we were left with that satisfaction of eating something amazingly yummy and the regret of eating every bite over our full point but when it's this good it's hard to hold back. I hope ameci Mondays are around forever because this will be a monthly thing for us!

Very disappointing. Took my son here with a Living Social coupon. $14 for about 1/2 cup overdressed Caesar salad - no croutons!? And 1 cup of pasta with watery bland "4 cheese" sauce. I had a $16 salad with shrimp and scallops - 3 shrimp and 3 scallops and drowning in dressing. Bread with garlicky dipping oil was the best part of the meal. Server talked so fast we couldn't understand him, other than he rushed us out, trying to turn over the table. Will not be back.

I got the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It reminded me of one of the frozen dinners you get at the super market. It had virtually no taste. I think I saw one sliver of a piece of Lobster, but not sure. It was almost $20 too :( It came with a salad that was soggy; obviously had been sitting around before I even ordered it. Stick to the dishes that are under $13 for sure.

Food is fine, don't like the new renovations at all. Stopped by on Friday night with my parents.. Totally bland and boring. Additionally the booths are a bit tight, and the tables opposite of them are very close together as well. I'll probably stick with carry out from now on.

This is my second time here and I would have to say both times have exceed my expectations. The food is perfect. Flavorful and authentic. I had my first blackberry sangria because of a yelp recommendation. I ended up ordering 2 and the second the larger size. We have tried 4 different pasta dishes and they all were great. Our waitress Kayla was attentive and accommodating. I spent $60 our last visit and $70 this visit. For 2 adults and a child it's not bad. I don't want to forget about the chocolate cake desert. Best I have ever had!

My husband and I love the food! We barely ever get out of the house alone. My first job was actually here at Carrabbas when I was 15! I can't get over the home made bread and the amazing atmosphere! We can't wait for another date night out! I always order the chicken or sirlon marsalla! I get no mushrooms but it's still amazing! MY mouth is watering already!

Ok.. I've been here a few times and I'm often pleased with my choices. Today; however I tried something that I saw a picture of as I walked into the Belair Rd location that seemed it would be appealing to my taste buds. NOT!!! THE shrimp arugula risotto salad. For once please stop with the false advertising. ..Restaurants show these elaborate photos depicting a meal that ultimately does not come to your table in that manner. As soon as the server who by the way was slapping things down on our table and talking like she was in the indy 500. Rude.. brought the salad and sat it down, I said I'm not paying 12.00 for that. Really.. I'm so tired of restaurants serving meals to customers which are not worth the prices they want you to pay and looks nothing the pictures that represents it. I'm not having it.

My favorite was the fire roasted mushrooms. ..as an appetizer. With the Pollo Rosa Maria with a nice glass of Red wine simply marvelous!! I can't wait to go back. .

My beautiful lady and I dined with 8 others, Six adults and two younglings. As usual we covered the menu from corner to corner. I think the right thing to say is everyone was very pleased with their meals. The fresh hot bread with olive oil and herds and the sangria were both big hits. Our server started out very slow but came on a little better at the finish of our meal after he realized we knew his manager. Never been a server only a payer; with that said, when a server is fairly sure he or she is going to get a good tip I don't understand their slow and Skroogey attitude.

We go here every other week. Sad to say but we always have to change half of our order to suit us and the waiters/waitresses always get it right. Staff is always friendly but your luck if you get Scott to wait on you. One of the best waiters I've ever had.

My family loves Carabbas. The service is good at this location, prices are decent and they have GREAT sangria. They could be a little faster with their curb side pick-up, other than that- good choice for Italian.

So my boyfriend and I wanted to try a little semi-romantic night out. We went to this Carrabas on Belair Rd. I had the Italian Classics (Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna) with the broccoli preceeded by a salad. He had a dish with steak and chicken preceeded by the chicken soup. We also had the carmelized onion flatbread appetizer. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Fast forward 3 hours.....I was in the bathroom vomiting. I was sick most of the night and couldn't eat anything the following day. My boyfriend was fine, but I was sick from dinner. It had to be something with the dish that I chose or the salad. I haven't been sick like that since I was a child. I will never go to Carraba's again. It's just an italian chain. It's not the best. It's just like an Olive Grove, etc. If you want Italian go to a non-chain italian place and get a real dish. This chain gives you mass produced food-poisoning. Stay far away. Just go to the store and pick up the ingredients and make it yourself. Hell...even a Stoffers Lasagna...lol...just not this place.

A bit smaller than most Carrabba's that I have visited, but good nonetheless. Service was quick, pizza was excellent, Yeungling was cold. What more could I expect?

  • Tyler S.

Let's just put it this way: If you want something better than Olive Garden, go here. Not always my first choice of Italian, I wish they had some more vegetables with their dishes, or at least incorporated with their pasta dishes. The bread / oil and spices mixture for an appetizer is just plain awesome, that get's an A+ on my taste buds. However, these portions sizes are pretty big, but smaller than what you would normally get...then again, I'm a small guy :P I like this place :D

I love this place. I've been there countless times and the food is always delicious and the service is great. Everything I've ordered, I've liked and for such great food their price isn't bad at all. I would recommend them to everyone!

Carrabba's has some good food for a chain, but this location is not the best. You'll see guys with hats, tattoo's and other trashy looking people. If you want a classier Carrabba's I say go to Hunt Valley. Like the previous yelper stated, I do believe portion sizes are getting smaller.

    (3)
  • Randy J.

We have been going to this location for years. I noticed the portions are smaller and sometimes I can see the bottom of the bowl when we receive salads. The salads are very inconsistant they are dry with a little dressing and we ask for more and they do take care of it. They can have about 30 of pieces of lettuce and I say something which they do agree and add more. I dont think I every had a problem with my dinners only the salad. Try the fried zuccini it is great. Did you know they have two salad sizes? They sure do.

It is a nice place for an evening out. A good meal for a good price. This location is a little louder than i like for dinner out, i prefer the carry out.

I was very disappointed with Carrabas. Their bread and salad were okay. I ordered the chicken trio which was totally overpriced and the order was very small. My husband ordered a special they were running with steak and that was also very disappointing.

What a great brand! Carrabba's can do little wrong...great service, great food, great value for the quality and consistent each time. Want anything more? I love their fresh bread and dipping oil. As well, their rustic menu offering some realllllly tasty entrees and not just pasta!

I feel like the review I've read are of a different restaurant. My GF and I eat at this particular Carrabba's at least 1 night a week. And we are always quite happy with the quality of the food and service. Specifically, we really like the calamari, the fried zucchini (fritte) and the various flavored sangrias (peach, blackberry, red, white). Their pesto+oil dipping stuff with the bread is addictive. My girlfriend loves their fish specials like Tilapia with hazelnut crust, the grilled salmon and the John Cole dessert. My favorite entrees are mezzaluna (ravioli), and the chicken spinach cannelloni. I LOVE their sausage lentil soup! I could eat it by the bucket. Their spaghetti is pretty good, but nothing special. The pizza, chicken Bryan and chicken Marsala I was unimpressed with, and wouldn't order again. The only times we've had slow service was around holidays or when the place is packed. This always causes any kitchen to backup. Once we had a waiter that had a real attitude, curt and slamming plates down. But we addressed it with the manager, and were given another server and the meal on the house. We regularly walk out of there under $40, and because the food is so good, when we get wine or other drinks, if we're still under $60 for the two of us including tip, I'm quite happy. The only reason I'm giving them 4 is because they do have more than a few items that I don't care for, and because they took away my favorite salad (Greek). They change-up the menu more often then they should, IMO. But I know they want to keep things fresh and new. I'm sad to see other people have had the exact opposite experiences, but to be honest, it's more food and faster seating for me if fewer of you show up!

The food here is always consistent. The oil, herbs and bread are flavorful. I usually get the chicken Bryan and hubby gets the tour of Italy (chicken parm and lasagna). It's always delicious, and so much better than. Other Italian chains and mom and pop Italian places we have tried in little Italy. We like sitting at the kitchen side bar-- where all the action is and where we can see everything. The service is usually average, sometimes it's great and other times it's slow as ever (like tonight). We will be back because the food is so delicious.

This place is the best chain restaurant around. I always sit at the bar for great drinks and friendly bartenders. Melissa is the best and remembers us everytime. The food is always good and the seasonal menu provides many different offerings so you never have to get the same old boring item. Even if you aren't into chains, give this one a shot.

Nice decor, food was good. I think the server would have checked on our table to se we got the wrong order had it not been so busy. AVOID Saturday nights for a good experience

We go to Carrabas about twice a year almost SOLELY for the Bread! Their bread with the olive oil dipping sauce is addicting. My wife and I probably go through 3 servings of the bread while we are there. I love the Polo Rosa Maria, and Pollo Bryan. ...Their Chicken Parmesian is ok...Lasagna is ok. Soups are GOOD though! Steak and Seafood dishes are ok, but nothing special. I've had better at many other places. I also think they are light with the pasta compared to most Italian restaurants. Their appetizers are pricey as well. Service is usually quick at this location as well, and servers are fairly attentive, but not very talkative or overly nice. I will say that their soda and ice tea prices are kind of absurd...$2.65 for a soda? The restaurant has a fairly dark, but cozy atmosphere. It's certainly not a quiet place to eat unless you go in before 5pm. In general their food is good, not over the top or excellent. Overall, I think Carrabas does just enough of what is needed to be a succesful restaurant and keep patrons coming back. It's not on my list of top restaurants to go to, but when I'm really craving their bread which is like 2 times a year I will make a point to venture here.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
