First of all, Ron B., it's MARINARA, not mariner. Misspellings detract from a legit review. Also, the pizza oven is not in the middle of the room, and there are way more than six tables. Did you actually look around? And did you consider that maybe the prices can be as low as they are because the rent is dirt cheap? Who complains about low prices, anyway? We've been to the top floor of this retirement home in all its iterations: Grandview, The Dizz, Grandview again. We also used to visit Angelo's in Hampden on a weekly basis when our kids were younger. Sooo excited that Angelo's landed here! Went last week and shared a chef salad and veggie pizza with hubby. I will admit the salad was not a wow, but the pizza was. Not skimpy with the veggies, and because the price for a 16" was extremely reasonable, we ordered big to have leftovers. Also, BYOB here. No corking fee. Score! The servers came to our table several times to check on us, and Angelo himself stopped by to chat. We will definitely return and do yourself a favor - go when the sun is setting. The view of Baltimore turning her night lights on is spectacular!

I think that Angelos in their new location is better than the old location. For one, they are actually cooking the pizza like it should be cooked, not the mushy, undercooked pizza that gets made at a lot of other places, especially in Hampden. The ingredients are good and the price reasonable. If the pizza had the cornmeal on the bottom, it would be a super solid old school pizza like I grew up with. (Just my preference). I have only had delivery, so I can't comment on the restaurant, but the view sounds nice!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nearly two hours after ordering one pizza and one salad, we still hadn't received anything. Numerous calls to check on the order were met with totally unconcerned responses of, "It's on the way." I finally called back to cancel the order and the woman who answered the phone, and seriously couldn't have given a shit less, just said, "Ok." When I told her we wouldn't be ordering from them again, she just said, "Ok, goodnight." Yeah, f you too. Owners, you may want to get new staff in there, people who can handle a predictably busy Friday night, and who have even halfway decent customer service. It's a shame, because your pizza is pretty decent.

Tried this recently and its pretty mediocre overall. Likely to go with Papa Johns in the future.

Absolutely the best pizza place this side of Baltimore. I was heart broken when there shop on Keswick closed down. However, they've reopened, not too far away and i am more then delighted. This place can't be beat! Phenomenal!

The 1 star reviews are not deserving. I've been eating this pizza for over 30 years and it's my favorite by far. In fact, I don't know why he's lowered his prices when others are way higher. I know when ordering that I'll get lots of toppings and a lot of cheese which is just what I like. As for the reviewer who commented on the ingredients I just don't understand. Domino's is crappy ingredients not Angelo's. Rob C. could be correct in the service. I don't know how fast food joints mess up orders so much. Place order, cook order, customer picks up order. This is not the only place that has gotten my order wrong though. I guess it's just laziness of not reading the ticket. Anyhow, I'm glad to have my favorite pizza back. I hope they're successful because other businesses in that location have failed.

Well we decided to order out because inside there was only about 6 tables with a pizza oven in the middle of the room. (Odd as can be) We called to place an order (large pep pizza) and was told there is a $10 minimum for delivery. At that moment I became concerned about their price. Cheap prices = poor quality ingredients. Spoke to my wife and we agreed to try them anyway since we previously had food at another location of his before it closed down and was good. Big, big mistake. The pizza was over-cooked. The pizza sauce was just a mariner sauce and the cheese was clearly artificial and low quality. The dough was not dough. More like cardboard. We tried to eat it but stopped after feeling sick. We had not eaten all day so we knew it was the pizza. I felt like I had to vomit and my wife was very queezy to the stomach. We called back the next day where we were told that Angelo was not there but took our information and said they would have him call us. Never called. It was the worst pizza we have ever tried and due to the experience there and the fact they did not bother to contact us back, we will never go there again. It's a shame he cut corners and did not keep his high standards that he use to have from the other location which is now closed. PLEASE BE WARNED - The 5 star ratings that was placed here was no doubt from employee's/family related/close friends to him which was extremely biased. I straight up call it as I see it and this was the worst. I do hope they recover and start to do well but I sincerely doubt it.

We took our two kids to the new spot last night to give Angelos a try and 'cause my son was excited about eating pizza on the 15th floor. There were maybe 6 tables total in the whole place and about 12 people working. The guys working the pizzas were working at a snail's pace (inexperienced) and they were doing a lot of take out orders it seemed. It took a half hour to get a plate full of over fried steak fries to the table. When the pizza finally got there, it was the wrong one! Turns out one of the 3 delivery guys took our pizza to the wrong address. Mind you there were maybe 3 families seated at this time. The server apologized as best as she could and even gave us a $10 GC but Angelo never came to the table. My family eventually got fed up and waited for me downstairs while I waited for our pizza. I eventually got my pizza a half hour later, so basically we spent an hour and a half for 12 burnt french fries. Ridiculous and we're never going back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
