Chick-fil-A

408 Constant Friendship Blvd

Reviews:
This is a great chick-fil-a location. Food was great, place was clean, parking lot was well-organized. The icing on the cake, though, was that in the pouring rain, they had a guy outside the door escorting people in with a giant umbrella!!!
Don't normally write reviews for "fast food" restaurants, but felt it necessary to put in a good word for this Chick-fil-A. Each and every time I dine there the service and food are great. You are only in line for a few seconds before someone asks to take your order and once taken, they tell you to go to your seat and bring the food out to you. They also come over during the meal and ask if you need anything else (drink, napkin, etc) As a parent with a 2 year old child, I can't stress enough how valuable a service that is. All said, the management and employees are to be commended for their outstanding service and food.
Great food, exceptional service. I always crave it on Sunday, but that is when they are closed. My only complaint is that sometimes when I order cheese on my chicken sandwich they don't put pickles on it. I always eat the pickles first, but I feel the pickle juice adds an important flavor to the sandwich.

Bushmill Tavern

Reviews:
I went to the Bushmill Tavern for lunch because I was craving a burger. I am so excited that I chose this place because Oh-Em-Gee! Yes! To start off I went at around 1145 am and there were a lot of bikers there getting ready to ride and just hanging out... It made me nostalgic of my childhood when I used to go to my Mom's biker bar that she used to own. Anyways, on to the rest... A very homey bar/restaurant, tavern. The waitress was very nice and on top of her job! I believe it was the owner (nice gentleman in his biker vest) that came to my table to make sure I had a brunch menu (I think that's pretty awesome!). I ended up ordering the mushroom and Swiss burger, medium, along with duck fat fries (yes!). The burger tasted amazing and was cooked just to order (medium). And the duck fat fries! Yes!! Perfectly seasoned and cooked in fresh oil along with garlic aoli sauce. Probably the best duck fat fries that I've EVER had. I wish I would've taken a picture but I was so eager to dive in to my basket that it completely slipped my mind. I would definitely return to the Bushmill Tavern, day or night just for the food. I'm interested to see how the nightlife is, so be on the look out for an updated review :)
This is a great bar food place. If you're here on a big tournament weekend, they're not gonna have the personnel. Be patient. The food is great and servers are wonderful! Jason was the best! They just don't have enough people to cover everything. Good grub by the hotels. Go Sons!!!
Had a burger & fries. Very good! Hand cut fries, cold beer & friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Primavera

Reviews:
Everything about Primavera is rather good. Love their pasta and sandwiches.
Awesome food. We have only eaten in the restaurant once so my review is totally based on our carry out. Their white pizza is AMAZING, either broccoli or spinach make this pizza! The pasta dishes are fantastic. Their anti pasta salad is delicious. I think it's the house dressing that makes it. The outside doesn't look like much but you will not want to miss out on this gem.
Went here for a coworkers going away lunch. We had preordered everybody's meals so we could do separate checks, but the waitress just wasn't prepared to deal with a group this large (~24 people). We got baskets of bread and butter straight away, and the bread was fresh, crusty, and delicious. The food was pretty good, and they were relatively attentive with drink refills. If you're... at all Italian you might get annoyed that their 'baked penne' dish is actually rigatoni (I have no idea why they would do this). Their chicken parm and eggplant parm were well liked by all of my coworkers, but I thought their sauce was a bit bland, needs more... something. I've had their pizza before, and it was solid. I'll go back and try more things definitely. Highly recommend trying, despite the location-based sketch factor. Don't recommend for large groups (unless you're paying on a single check).

Box Hill Crabcakes

2915 Emmorton Rd

Reviews:
The service was the best and the food even better. The waiter was very informative and didn't up-sell me, however I did up-sell myself and tried a lot of different items. So worth it... Must try the Crab Cakes... They are the best I've ever had... That is a bold statement, but it's true... If I was going to die and it was my last meal, I would want this crab cake a slice of their delux pizza. Ok, maybe two crab cakes. I will fly back for the food. Thank you for a great experience.
This rating is for the crab cakes and the pizza. This is Box Hill Pizzeria after all, so I also ordered a pie. After hearing everyone north of Baltimore rave about Box Hill, I finally gave it a shot. The crab cakes were solid. I didn't find them to be anywhere near the best in Baltimore and the price was a little on the high side. I tried both the broiled and fried preparations. There was a decent amount of lump crab meat and the seasoning was pretty light allowing the crab to remain the focus. I was very disappointed to find canned mushrooms on my pizza. As a rule, I usually won't return to a pizzeria that can't bother to use fresh ingredients. The pizza itself was decent with plenty of cheese. Bottom line, this is just an average neighborhood pizza place with a solid crab cake. Calling it "world famous" is a bit of an exaggeration... Maybe "Harford County Famous," but that's even a stretch.
Easily the best crab cake I've ever had. I couldn't telling it was the buttery meat or seasoning. It didn't have a heavy old bay taste. Just good, buttery crab

Starbucks

This is my favorite Starbucks of them all. All the folks are always courteous and get the order right. When a mistake is made they always do their best to fix it. One time I lost my wallet but had gotten into the drive thru line before I realized it. So when it was my turn to pay I told them to cancel my order. They gave me my order anyway! Thankfully when I finally was able to get out of my car to look for my wallet- found it and went back to pay and tip them too! Great people
Standard starbucks. This is the one in the plaza with verizon. Baristas were friendly, my drink was perfect.
I have never actually been inside of this Starbucks. However, I have family in Havre de Grace, and this is the closest Starbucks with a drive-thru. They've never gotten my order wrong, so I have to give them credit for that.

King’s Chinese Carryout

3472 Emmorton Rd
Abingdon, 21009
Reviews:
This is my first time ordering from Kings. My husband ordered the cashew chicken and it seemed dry. I ordered general tso's chicken and I thought it was really dry also. The chicken was also kind of chewy in some of the bites. We also ordered egg rolls which were kind of tasteless. I have had better chinese food and thought this was similar to what I have had at buffets.
I recently switched over to King's after Szechuan Express in Box Hill took a major decline in quality. I was disappointed to find out that Kings doesn't deliver but the quality of the food and friendly staff make it worth driving to pick it up. Steamed dumplings and Fried Rice are my go-to menu items. If I don't like these two things at a Chinese restaurant than odds are I won't try anything else on the menu. Luckily King's has great dumplings and rice. Everything else I've tried since then has been right on!
I've lived in the Abingdon area for years. Kings is THE place for Chinese in Abingdon and Harford county. We moved out of the Abingdon area but we still go to Kings for Chinese! I have tried others in Harford county and none compare. Their food is fantastic and the portions are always large. I am such a foodie and always very critical although no complaints here! My husband loves the General Tso chicken and my favorite is the chicken broccoli. Their sauces are full of flavor. I also CRAVE the crab cheese wontons! I highly recommend Kings Chinese carryout!

Panera Bread

Stopped in and got a chipotle chicken sandwich with soup and a soda to go. Customer service was A+++++, Also the line moved very fast. And I got my 50% OFF FIRE/EMS discount with ID without any issue. I got the food home and it tasted amazing. Everything was fresh and hot. Lastly the drink I got "Dr.Pepper" tasted ultra good for a fountain soda. Not watered down nor too much syrup. JUST RIGHT..... A+++++
I have a theory that the farther away from a downtown area, the better the Panera is. Inner harbor Panera? Terrible. North Baltimore Panera? Blech. Towson Panera? Meh. Abingdon Panera? Now we're talking. Seriously, this Panera is strikingly superior to the others in the region. Everything they've served me has been fresh. None of those wilted lettuce leaves and substituted bread and large pieces of cilantro accidentally put into the cobb salad that I have experienced at other locations. The employees are also lacking the apathy so present in other locations. I come here for coffee almost every day, and they are always friendly and efficient. The manager is usually around greeting people and checking drink accessory stock. Occasionally the people preparing the food take a long time, usually during the breakfast rush, but other than that I've never had a less than pleasant experience at this location. I do have to say, I'm not a fan of the new dinner roll instead of a baguette as the side. But! They still have the baguette option, you just have to ask for it.
Overall, I'd give the Panera brand 4 stars. I'm a big fan. This location gets 3, though. The spaciousness of the dining area, coupled with its less central location, means you'll rarely struggle to find a seat (unlike the congested Bel Air location). In other words it's usually empty. The outdoor seating is nice. In my experiences at this location, the employees seem to prefer socializing to taking my order in a friendly and attentive fashion. I don't like feeling like a buzzkill or a burden. And the Mediterranean veggie sandwich that I often get is just not as well-constructed here. Not enough spread, too much tomato, etc. I love Panera, all day erry day, but this location is mediocre. Breakdown... For quality of food and customer service, go to Bel Air. if you want some quiet time with your book or laptop and a cup of coffee, the Abingdon location is a better choice.

New to the area and looking for my "new" Chinese food delivery place. After reading the posted reviews, I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I tried their black pepper and bourbon chicken dishes. Both were very good and I would definitely order again. Delivery was fast, quicker than what they forecasted. My only gripe is with my son's meal. He ordered chicken wings and french fries. The wings were a bit small with an interesting (but not bad) taste, and the fries were soogy and limp.
Best Chinese take out in area, General Tso's chicken has the perfect spices. War Won ton soup is good.
They have the best Yang Chow fried rice and beef lomein in town. I also order their Moo Goo Gai Pan and Shrimp Egg Foo Yong.

Small place, only a waiting bench, no public restrooms, but they sell beer--can't drink on premises. The wait time was a little long, but you can call ahead and just pick up. The guy was nice, just chatted a little while the food was being made/heated (about 30 minutes; not bad considering the amount of food I got) Pretty good! **Lump crab sandwich (you can get fried or broiled)-giant pieces of crab. Pretty good but doesn't really stay together (not complaining too much because there's just that much less filler to hold it together) **Broiled crab balls (you can get fried or broiled)-small but legit and tasty **Hush puppies-eh they were moist and soft but not exceptional. A little on the oily side and couldn't taste too much corn **Crabby deviled eggs-pretty good. Didn't taste THAT much crab in them, but very flavorful and worth it. **Fresh steamed ears of corn-delicious sweet corn with a little butter and Old Bay **MD crab soup-perfect. The ones I've had are almost always too salty and too spicy. This was packed with veggies and potatoes and crab and had just the right amount of flavor and tomato-ness will be back to get some crabs in the future!
I would give 0 stars if I could. I hate to be mean but seriously.... I bought a dozen female large for 45 bucks. They tasted like they cooked dead crabs. They tasted fishy, they were light, and they did not reflect any quality of Maryland blue crab. This place should be shut down. I pray I don't get sick. This is my birthday weekend and I immediately had my husband buy me a dozen large males from seafood stop in Fallston so I could have good quality crabs to wash the bad dead crab taste from my mouth. I shouldn't have been cheap looking for mustardy heavy females. The crabs at kent island were like skinny light fishy smelling skeleton crabs and they need to be shut down and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Picked up 2 dozen large crabs. They weren't very tasty and seemed to be dried out. Won't go back.
