I lived in Worcester until 2006 when I graduated from Clark. To be honest, there were no restaurants or bakeries in the area that ever grabbed me.... except for Giovanni's. Every time I go to an Italian bakery, I always get a cannoli. And every time, it fails to match up to Giovanni's. Quite simply, he has the best cannoli I've ever had, and it is probably my favorite single food item of all time. The cheese filling was so good, that I would regularly (and at one point daily) buy 2 pounds of just the cheese filling and eat it with a spoon. I long debated offering him a $1,000 for the recipe on the signed condition that I never sell it, because I don't live there anymore and probably won't taste anything that heavenly for the rest of my life. However, I never worked up the courage. I went there about 2 years ago with my wife, and it was just as good as I remember. If you have the opportunity to eat here (and eat the cannoli here), don't waste it!

Unlike some reviewers, I haven't gone here for a custom cake, so I thought I'd weigh in on some of the more every day items! My dad always goes to Giovanni's for cookies and pies- thy've never disappointed! We like to get a variety of their Italian cookies to bring to dinners we get invited too- and everyone finds one or two the like- and mixing and matching is a good option. It's really our go-to place- I'd recommend it for more than just cakes!!

Ordered our wedding cake from here and it was nothing like we wanted. We sent him a picture, he told us he would make it exactly and he made it so tacky! Worst mistake for our wedding. Cake tasted good but if you want a modern cake, dont come here.

A friend got her wedding cake from Giovanni's. It was by far the best cake I have ever eaten. Extremely moist and flavorful. Thankfully she gave me extra to bring home, it was eaten before we made it back. Looking forward to trying other items. Just an update - we loved their wedding cake so much I ordered a sheet for my husband's birthday and it was just as amazing! Thank you!
