A better alternative for breakfast around this area. Get Bickford's outta here... I miss Howard Johnson's breakfast to tell you the truth. Anyway, this place is good and always busy during the weekend mornings. I do come here once and a while. For this area..... ROAZY APPROVED! Let me break this mf down: + When you walk in there's a hot chocolate/french vanilla machine to the left. Do yourself a favor and pour a cup of that french vanilla. Best ish you'll ever have.. + The omelets are good but make sure you ask for extra cheese. I feel like they skimp out on the cheese. - Waffles are a little dry for my liking. Rozay, out!

Great Restaurant. The food always comes out exactly how you order it. A friendly wait staff usually.

I've had lunch here a few times and it's been great. I mean come on, any place that serves breakfast all day can't be that bad! They ask if you want peppers and onions with your homefries which instantly gets a thumbs up from me. Great food, will be back again!

First time here - absolutely adorable! Bustling with activity at 11am Thanksgiving eve, waitress was very pleasant and food looked great! I had a BLT wrap which was OK (not enough bacon at all) but my friend's veggie omelet with fries and toast was a hit. I will definitely return - too much on the menu not to!

Coincidence that the rating and the restaurant share the same name -- I think not! This place is the bomb! We came here this morning for breakfast and loved it. AGAIG is little gem tucked away in a shopping plaza off of Route 38 and 129, right on two main drags so it's easy to get to. The decor and atmosphere is both warm and friendly, and it's a small place that serves good food so naturally expect a wait. We didn't have to wait long, but while doing so we sat on some comfy couches and chairs that they have all set up outside. All of the staff was very welcoming and pleasant, especially our waitress, Coral. *Note* for you HAs (Homefry Appreciators) out there, this place delivers 100%. One of the things I look for in a breakfast place is the attention and love put into the homefries; here we have some 'seasoned' pros (pun intended). They arrived completely cooked through with the perfect amount of crisp and doneness, and not too oily. As for the rest of the meal, you definitely get hearty portions and the prices are right. I ordered the veggie omelette with American cheese and whole wheat toast, and everything was excellent. My friend ordered Eggs Benedict and felt the same way. Another recommendation would be the fresh fruit cup, even the bananas were perfectly ripened. Oh, and another thing! No weak coffee here, which is another rarity in most breakfast places as well as homefry appreciation. Theirs was a good intensity. I'll most certainly be back, I'm excited to have found a great breakfast place that's close by.

    * Slow Turn Around * My family and I have been here several times this year. We are always on the lookout for good breakfast restaurants and decided to try this local one. (We got tired of the bland food served at IHOP.) However, each visit to this place provided a bit worse experience than the previous one. One of our visits was on Mother's Day. It was jam-packed that Sunday morning at 10:30am, but the waitress assured us that the wait was due to the holiday, and that it was not normal for a typical weekend. She said that service is much slower before 10am on Sundays. However, our later visit proved that she was wrong. We waited for 30 minutes before we were seated that day. * Regulars Get Seated First * On our last visit, my wife and I took our two small boys for breakfast one Sunday. We arrived at 9:30am, and fount it jam-packed. However, based on the number of people waiting to be seated, it didn't seem as if there was going to be too much of a wait. Another couple came in after us as we waited for the hostess to appear and take down our names. We all waited as the waitress passed by us twice, saying she'll be right back to take our names. A man -- he seemed to be a regular -- walked in, went up to the hostess' clipboard, and wrote his own name down. (Now why didn't I think of that: being inconsiderate enough to cut the wait line?) The hostess highlighted the man's name -- we figured she caught onto his act -- but she still seated him before us. (I guess good guys do finish last.) During our 45 minute wait, a few others showed up to wait, and we all watched people just show up and get seated before us. The restaurant claims that they don't take reservations or call-ins. (We didn't realize that we'd get treated like 2nd class customers, and get pushed aside in favor of the regulars.) It is too bad that they treated us the way they did; the food was good enough for more visits. * Food & Prices * The food is good with reasonable prices. Everything is made to order. The waitresses are friendly and provide good service. They provide complimentary, self-serve coffee while you wait to be seated waiting; I learned this from a previous visit, since they don't always tell you about it. Go inside and get the coffee. They serve New England brand coffee, which is decent coffee. * Bottom Line * I you don't mind a 45 minute wait and being treated 2nd to the regulars, then stop by for some good breakfast.

Great breakfast place. Homefries come with onions and peppers, food came out quickly and was fantastic.

It's probably been said before but...This place is as good as it gets! I have had breakfast here a few times and was very pleased each time. Food is good and fairly priced. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had to wait a long time for a waitress to come over to our table. Also have to wait up to 30 min on the weekends to get seated. It gets super busy on the weekends but that's to be expected. Also their Iced Tea tasted like toxic waste or old pool water I had to send it back...haha, So just stick to the coffee or OJ and you will be happy!.

I am not sure when the reviewer went there and got a coffee and bagel for under 3 dollars because a coffee will run you 1.95 by itself. But thats not the real problem, the real problem is the nickle and dime strategy the owner has. You can get an egg sandwich for 3.95... oh but if you get it on a bagel that's an extra .75 cents. And DON'T try to do any substituting. For example, don't' want home fries but ask if you can get a little lettuce on the side? Will get charged. Worse than that, if you ask for egg whites in your omelet, expect an extra charge for that too. The food is good, however no one should be charged over 7.00 for a bagel sanwich and a coffee. Someone aught to re think this policy of 'extra' costs for just about everything. Didn't ask about the cost of mayo.... Too bad because the place is nice, food is good, but heck eat at the Hyatt for breakfast for 1/2 the cost!!

Anytime I can get a toasted bagel, and a large Iced coffee for under $3, I am a happy camper. That's all I got though, as I was in a hurry. This place was jam packed at 10 AM on a week day. Not a single free table. I can't imagine how crowded it gets on the weekend. While I was waiting, I looked at the food coming out of the kitchen, and it looked terrific. One of the specials was Irish Eggs Benedict, served with Colcanon. I don't like eggs, and even that looked good to me. I'm going to come back just to try some home fries, I think. They looked awe inspiring. I'm all about the home fries.

Oh ya love this place too? Gonna know all my stomping grounds..the food is good, the staff treats you like a family member..the type of family member you want to see. I just love practically the who menu...but my favs are the American chop suey and blue muffins...oh ya I can't wait to get my muffing on Saturday....

A fantastic place for breakfast. The service is excellent. The wait staff is very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is spot on (comfortable booths, bright colors, cheery yet cozy) and the food is really good. The smothered home fries are to die for. As Good As it Gets is a slam dunk for a great breakfast. It does get busy, but they are open until 3 and if you go after 1 or 2, it is pretty mellow. And, on top of all this, the prices are very good! I will say that we came for Friday night dinner once, and it was only "average" to my taste. But, I would do it again to give it another shot. In any case, we will definitely keep coming here for breakfast--over and over again!!! This is an example of how a business should be run. Nice job!

LOVE it here! I moved to the area last summer and this has been our go-to breakfast joint. Everything that I've had has been really, really, really, good. Recently, I discovered that they serve dinner on Friday nights. The corn chowder was heaven my mouth. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try.

Awesome breakfast. I had the steak and cheese omelet and it was cooked perfect. Home fries were also very tasty. My son had a monstrous breakfast which consisted of two large pancakes, two eggs, bacon and toast. He loved it. Service was also good. We got there around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and it was approximately a thirty minute wait. So please don't let the wait disappoint you.

The BESTEST diner in the area. When I started writing the review, 1000 good things came to my mind SO FAST that my hands couldn't keep up with the thoughts. This place is such a refresh change to the "typical" diner we find. The ambiance is just perfect for a hearty meal. The menu is exhaustive and is definitely excellent for the price. To start off, the fries are heavenly. Perfectly cooked, perfectly sized, perfectly spiced and seasoned.. the flavor is great and the more I put them down my gullet the more I can't stop.Me and hubby have pretty much tried every kind of omelet and have never been disappointed. My all time favorites are hard cooked omelet with toasted croissants or chilli omelet or Greek omelet ...mmmm The staff is always incredibly friendly. I have some favorite restaurants that I go to for the food(and I am forced to ignore the service). But if you need the perfect combination of good food and good service, this is the place to be !

I went for breakfast with my 2 kids. It was a Friday morning about 10 am and the place quickly filled up. We got in just in time. Clearly it's a popular place. The prices are very reasonable, the service was fast and courteous. We are visiting from out of state and I specifically didn't want to eat at the hotel and wanted to support a local business. I'm so glad we picked this place. I definitely recommend and would come back. May be back tomorrow! :-)

Food is less than average, prices are considerably high for the quality of food, and there are awkward posters on the wall with sexual messages.

I had brunch here on a recent Sunday morning. Clearly a popular spot, we had a thirty minute wait for a table for two. I had eggs over easy, toast, fruit, and OJ; my wife had granola with fruit and yogurt. Our order was taken promptly, the food brought reasonably quickly by the busy, personable waitresses. The food was pretty good. There was only a tiny amount of granola in the granola--perhaps three spoonfuls, dwarfed by the amount of yogurt and fruit. But the yogurt was tasty (not too sweet) and the fruit fresh. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Frustratingly, we had to wait nearly half an hour for the check, which was particularly odd given how much they needed the table. I only visit Wilmington every few years, but I'll return here next time I'm in town. I'd like to have a more involved meal, and the coffee shop component of the restaurant is tempting. As Good As It Gets is nothing to write home about, but for Wilmington, I believe its monicker is apt.

According to the web site, they've only been open since June 2007, but it totally has the feel of an "always been there" neighborhood place. Their specialty seems to be eggs, panini, and eggs on panini, and they serve breakfast all day. It strikes me as a sort of diner and cafe love child, which is always fun. The hours are M-F 5:30a-3p, Sa-Su 6:30a-3p, so it's the typical Massachusetts "diner" hours. I decided on the Vegetable Delight breakfast sandwich on foccacia for lunch, to take advantage of the midday eggy goodness. All breakfast sandwiches come with your choice of breads as well as a choice of home fries, corned beef hash, or baked beans on the side. I opted for the fruit "cup," which was $.75 extra, and healthier. The sandwich was *huge*. For $5.95, I was not disappointed. It seems that perhaps all of their sandwich are panini: the menu doesn't mention that the breakfast sandwiches will be pressed, but mine was, which was a really nice touch, honestly. The veggies were super fresh, the scramble eggs were nice and firm, not runny, and they remembered that I didn't want cheese. I say fruit "cup" because it actually turned out to be a great big *bowl* of the loveliest fruit chunks, garnished with a large, fresh, clean leaf of romaine. Fantastic for a couple quarters extra. I also had the coffee, which was fresh and the right notch on the strong meter, and has unlimited refills. The service was absolutely keen, especially given that I ate alone, I sat near the window (out of regular site of the rest of the place), and I had headphones on for a bit while I listened to my audiobook. I wanted for nothing, but wasn't disturbed every 5 minutes. I definitely got the feeling that they treat a single diner just as importantly as a group. Super friendly with a great sense of customer service. The menu (which you can view on their site) also includes omeletes, pancakes, french toast, waffles, lunch fair, and salads. The specials list mentioned that, because of popular demand, they'll be adding a bigger burger section to the menu, so it's nice to know that they listen to customers. They also offer free wifi to diners, which is super. I'll definitely be back to try more.

Decent breakfast, probably the best around this area. Omelet was a tad dry and home fries a bit greasy, but it was overall pretty good. Service was great. I'll give them a try again.

This is our breakfast spot. I don't even want to write a good review as I don't want anyone else to know about this place but it needs to be on my fav places lists. As I'm sure you all know finding YOUR breakfast place takes years of dedication and money. We lucked upon it in our first weeks here in MA. Great home fries (how every breakfast place should be judged). Decent service, clean, fast, fun menu. I'm going to say Don't go there as I don't want you sitting at my table next Sunday morning.

I've been here a million times since discovering it 6 months ago. They have breakfast (my favorite!) and lunch. The waitresses are all super sweet and friendly, after just a few times - they will know you by name! :) Breakfast - my favorites are the Belgium waffle, pancakes or any kind and their corned beef hash - which is delicious and NOT salty like it is most places. Lunch - They make excellent paninis, and rock a killer caeser salad, They also do take out- which is great for lunch! Prices are reasonable - space is clean and big enough that there's never really a wait (except on weekends for brunch!). My only complaint is I wish they had a bigger seasonal menu.

As a resident of Woburn for one year, I can say that this hometown diner-esque breakfast nook is only one of two things I miss about living there (the other is AJ's Kitchen). I've been a bunch of times, ordered eggs, omelets, and waffles and I've always loved the food. Top 5 reasons I enjoy this place: 1.) Cheers! Dining here makes you feel like you're a part of the town and all the waitresses talk to you like one of their own rather than a tourist. As someone who just moved to MA in '08, it's key to find places like this. 2.) Fresh fruit! When they offer up a side of fresh fruit, they mean it. It's not canned, not slimy -- it's freshly cut cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blueberries-- it's like a summer picnic in your mouth. 3.) Coffee! I just started drinking coffee and I love theirs. It's hot, it's flavorful, and it's bottomless. Yum. 4.) Homefries! Normally you get some kind of jumbled mess of potatoes with maybe some pepper and olive oil. These homefries are bite-size and coated with spiced goodness. No need to add salt and pepper. 5.) Huge menu. I've only been for breakfast, but their menu is pretty extensive for a small place and chocked full of sandwiches I'd like to try. They lost a star because the wait is long on weekend mornings and sometimes the waitresses get overloaded and service can be slow.

For the quality of food, it's kinda expensive. I spent about 8 bucks for a small ham and cheese omelete and a side of homefries... Altho the homefries are bomb! It's not worth it. It's the only place in the area that serves breakfast. Their hours kinda suck too.

Im a junkie for this this place. I work walking distance away and usualy get meals from here 4-6 times a week . Staff is great, ive never encountered someone in a bad mood. Food is always kick a%$. After you have had a grilled english muffin from here, you will never look at english muffins the same. I hold there homefries on the same pedestal as well. Try a spinach bacon feta omelette. it rules.

Went for breakfast yesterday morning, Loved it. We were seated promptly and our waitress was so nice. Great coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The omelet was huge and delicious. The "Wilmington Whopper" a kind of 'fried egg club sandwich ' with both bacon and sausage was great. The texas toast was great too! We have a nice new place for breakfast. Looking forward to going back. We have been back several times since then. The service is great and the food fantastic. All of the waitresses are quite nice, and the food comes out right away. Could not be happier to have found As Good as It Gets

I cozied up in a booth today to sample the House Special and get some studying done. It was a pleasant experience. After putting in my order (the House Special with two sunnyside-up eggs, homefries and texas toast), the food came out in lightening speed. "Whoa. That was fast," I said to the waitress. "We don't waste any time around here," she laughed. As I noshed on some tasty homefries, Journey came on: Doooon't stop belieeeeevin' Hold on to the feelin Streeeeeeeeetlight peeeeeople Whoooooah-waaaaah! It made for a enjoyable afternoon. Their $1.75 Bottomless Cup of Coffee was awesome. (It felt like an upscale Denny's, only it was filled with pleasant adults and no angry goth kids.) My waitress was very nice and brought my coffee refills in record time. I stayed for three hours to study! Haha.. hope I didn't overstay my welcome. And even if I did, no one scolded me. ;-) The interior is small-ish, with three booths on each side. I noticed that between 12 and 1, many of the lunch crowd folks requested a booth--not everyone got one. The House Special and Bottomless Cup of Coffee came to $7 with tax. w00t!

Good place for breakfast and for panini sandwiches. Mostly standard selections are served here, along with some twists on traditional offerings, such as the "Panini Caprese," an overstuffed sandwich with an entire Italian grocerette inside. They tend to use more spinich in both sandwiches and other meals than many other restaurants, for what that's worth. Service was fast and friendly but meals didn't seem as though they were prepared on an assembly line. The fact that most selections seem to offer just enough use of unusual or unique ingredients shows that the staff is really putting some thought into what they put on the table. Seating is adequate, despite large numbers of diners during the busy parts of the day. I wouldn't call this a date place, but it's very good for a quick lunch or a standard sized breakfast. It's certainly superior to most chain restaurants and competitive in price. Definately a place to which I'll return.

  • Me B. M.

Not really 'as good as it gets,' more like 'kind of OK. ' It is a locals diner/greasy spoon with less grease than most. Food is good enough, service is rough but good. Everyone is friendly. Expect at least one large party with lots of kids. Waits can be long and like many of the other reviewers, I have seen many people get seated ahead of me who clearly showed up after me. We can't all be paranoid.

Found this place maybe 4 years ago with my then finacee. 4 years later and when my wife and I go to breakfast, this is where we go. The food is fantastic, the servers are great and the prices are good. The place can get very busy, and you may wait a bit for a table, but that is just testament to how good this place really is. Catch it on and off hour, try it out, and you'll never turn back.

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I met a friend here today because it was a easy location for us to meet. I would probably give the place 3 1/2 stars if I could, but the food does not warrant 4 stars. Overall, the food was good. I ordered waffles with bacon and my friend had blueberry pancakes. The waffles were perfectly cooked, not too hard and not too soft, and the real butter on top was great. The bacon was also well prepared, again not to soft and not too crispy/burned. My friend, being from New England, had the good sense to ask for maple syrup, which they keep in the back. The service was very good and the food was well prepared and hot. Its not convenient for me on a regular basis, but would go here again if I were in the neighborhood.

A great diner. Nice service, great home fries and a creative menu. They've got your standard eggs, waffles, home fries, bacon, pancakes, and then they've got some interesting breakfast paninis. I had the Breakfast Poutine special. A great mix of home fries, cheese, bacon and eggs. Recommended. Won't be my last time here.

Awesome place. Went there for the first time based on Yelpers (we had business in Wilmington) and was very impressed and wished I lived closer! The vegetarian egg panini sandwich was excellent. A very novel idea and a new way to look at eggs. The home fries were nicely done as well. The coffee was excellent, nice and strong the way I like it. The staff were all very gracious and the place was spotless. The area is very spacious for a breakfast place, and our booth was large enough so that a 350-pound man would even be comfortable. I'm going to invent more business so I can be in Wilmington! Awesome!

So average it isn't even funny. My family in Wilmington drag me here, and I don't get it. It takes forever to get seated, but service is ok once you get there. Food is OK. Prices OK. I guess what I didn't like was the too homey atmosphere...it just seems tiny and cluttered and crowded. Which makes me feel like things aren't clean somehow. I much prefer IHOP.

I read the first Yelp review and felt the need to give this place a shot. Eggs, omelettes, sandwiches, soups and service are great. The foccacia bread was TO DIE FOR. MMMM. I took the other half of my sandwhich home. Definitely a good place for the morning or on a Sunday. The table and place is clean, but it's not really upscale in case you're one of those shish-shish places. I'll go back again when I'm in the hood.

We go here all the time for brunch and lunch on the weekends. The staff is uber friendly and the food can be banging. Sometimes it slacks just a bit, for instance I've gotten waffles that were just a bit underdone before, but generally it's right on the money. And the price is super right!

Very friendly servers. We really enjoy the breakfast there. The last time we went I ordered the overstuffed omelet and as promised it was overstuffed and delicious. Our daughter also loves the place and gets lots of special attention from the friendly staff. Great place for families and friends to go and eat.

I eat here almost every weekend for breakfast. The dining room is a very homey environment and the self serve coffee and muffins while you wait are awesome. It can be busy during peak breakfast hours but it has always moved quicker then what the host tells us. The portions are good and are very fresh!

I wish I could give this small, local restaurant a better rating. I haven't eaten a full meal there. I've only stopped in twice, to grab a pastry in the morning. The first time was a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. It was VERY chocolaty. You may see that as a good thing, but it was too much for me. It wasn't so much a muffin as a cupcake without icing, almost a brownie in how gooey it was. Though, you may just blame me for purchasing a chocolate product for breakfast. The next time, I has a craving for a soft baked oatmeal raisin cookie. This cookie was hard and dense. Each bite took off chunks like chipping at a rock; you get a big piece, and a bunch of pulverized sand. Maybe their meals are great. But their baked desserts just don't do it for me.

  • Scott M.

I've eaten here twice and have been very satisfied each time. The menu is expansive, the portions are large, but not overwhelming and the prices are reasonable. The muffins and other assorted baked goods available near the door look delectable, and I hope to sample them sometime soon. This is definitely a step above your usual breakfast diner, but luckily, not a big price step.

I went to this place when they first opened as I knew the chef there. The food was awesome. Since he left in late 2007 the food definitely went down hill. I would much rather go to Vic's Waffle House in Tewksbury now. I haven't been back since 12/07.

This morning, my wife and I had to get up early to go to a parent-teacher conference AND the "mostly rain" forecast from last night was turning out to be "mostly snow", so I really needed a nice little place to sit and eat breakfast and not feel ripped off by prices or disappointed by crap food. My wife suggested As Good As It Gets, which, despite the fact that it's been here in Wilmington for two years, we'd never once tried. Given that most breakfast places we have tried here in our corner of Massachusetts have been VERY disappointing, I didn't have much hope, but figured I would at least be able to have some coffee. It turned out to be EXACTLY the thing I needed. As many of the other reviewers have said, the waitstaff are quite friendly and easygoing without being overbearingly cheery. The decor is contemporary without seeming intentionally fashionable. The menu doesn't stretch itself too far, which for a breakfast-lunch-only place is fine. My wife ordered a pancakes-eggs-bacon-homefries plate to sample the breadth of the breakfast choices. I took a big jump and ordered Eggs Benedict, which more often than not is done very badly in this type of restaurant. Mirabile dictu! The benny was better than I've had almost anywhere! The eggs were perfectly poached, the ham was cut thick, and the English muffins were grilled nicely. The Hollandaise was a bit bland for me, but to get everything else just right (especially the eggs) was worth a little plainness from the sauce. My wife was similarly surprised and delighted with her food, and as we ate our meal we both agreed that we had been guilty of ignoring this restaurant for far too long. We love going out for breakfast on a Sunday morning, but since we moved out here to the 'burbs it has been a PITA to drive to our most favorite place (Sound Bites in Somerville) and nothing closer to home has been "the place". This changes everything.

For me, this place is a true hidden gem. Located in Wilmington in a plaza at the intersection of routes 129 and 38, just far enough off the highway that you probably wouldn't pass by it by chance, is probably my favorite breakfast place ever. It must be a lot of other people's favorite, too, as it always seems to be very busy in here, so come early. Speed of service can suffer due to the popularity and there has almost always been a wait when I've visited. But, once you sink your teeth into that bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich you've been pining for, you'll know it was worth it. Freshly cracked eggs (i.e., not poured from a carton), crispy bacon, tons of melted cheese all on a fluffy, buttery, grilled bagel and served hot, hot, hot! Screw Dunkin's, this is the best breakfast sandwich ever, I tell you. I don't live too close to here anymore, but occasionally I find reason to stop by on the way to work and am more than happy I did.

My husband got me hooked on this place. He's in the construction/tree removal business and those men eat out allot. He brought me to this place one Sunday morning and it's all i can think about. I can't wait for my work week to end in hopes of going there on Sunday.... The wait isn't to long, but the waiting area is a bit small, but worth every minute of waiting. Nothing fancy, nothing special, but that's okay. I'm not there for the ambiance. The staff is very friendly and nice. The place is clean. Service is great, and not to mention the food is amazing. BIG portions, and in todays economy that is great, you really feel you get your money worths. You can't go wrong with anything off the menu, they will accomodating in every way. A must visit.

Have to say... We come here every month and have always had a great experience, until this morning. The young hostess was completely rude to me and had an attitude. Nothing against the food or place, but I won't spend my money where I'm disrespected. I didn't appreciate it one bit so we left. I won't be coming back. Update: the owner graciously reached out to me and apologized for the incident. I'm very appreciative and added a star from my original rating accordingly.

Crab Benedict was to die for - awesome-hash Browns were perfect-hot coffee- pancakes were light and fluffy. Staff was friendly- gave out samples while we waited. Will be back tomorrow!

This place is great. So great that if you show up on the weekend, prepare to wait a long time depending on when you arrive. Cozy, local, and really tasty breakfast/lunch food. My favorite dish hands down is the florentine quiche with the crescent roll top. My sister got some fat, fluffy pancakes that were the envy of the whole table. This is the place to go if you want hearty, filling and reasonably priced meal for sure.

Food was Delicious and hot, coffee could be hotter, gets an A-, service was exceptionally slow and somewhat surly and so gets a D. Hostess was frazzled by a family that sat themselves and quite rude when she told them to get up. We did see another waitress who was a Whiz, ours apparently did not train at the same place lol! We will give it one more try before writing them off.

Excellent food and service. The family and I stopped by on our way into Boston (~0830) and was seated right away and waited no longer than 15 minutes for our entries. I ordered the "As Good As It Gets" combo, my wife an omelette (of course), my daughter the French Riveria, and my son the french toast plate. All of the food was excellent and none of us could finish. Good prices and good food started our day in just the right way.

Yummy with excellent service. We had the lobster roll which was our first experience and we were really pleased. Had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated, but they had out door chairs and they came out with fruit samples to help hold you off. The time passed quickly. Our lobster rolls were worth the wait. $16.99 each with fries and home style coleslaw. It filled us up! Highly recommended :)

I'm not from the area and looked to Yelp for some ideas on brunch near my hotel. As good as it gets seemed like our best bet. We pulled into a strip mall parking lot and walked into As Good as it Gets. The vibe was friendly and casual. The wait was about 15 minutes and the hostess directed us to get coffee while we waited. When you walk in their signature dishes are posted on the wall with pictures, descriptions, and prices. They have an eclectic mix of food on the menu ranging from salads to pancakes to barbecue. Our waitress was friendly and the atmosphere had a "down home" feel to it. I went with one of their specialities the Crab Cake Benedict and substituted corned beef hash in place of the home fries it usually comes with. It was creative comfort food and I'd definitely recommend it.

I went there on Sunday morning only to find out people waiting outside to get in, so I chose to take out. I had their eggs Benedict and it's quite good for this price. Might revisit one day.

A very solid breakfast spot. This has been my go-to spot for a while now. You can depend on the quality and fast service here. The staff is casual, friendly and often check in to see if you need some more java. The coffee is pretty great. A lot of basics on the menu, many options to be had that will please most anyone. There is a lot to try! Today I had the veggie omelette which came with toast and home-fries. I love the seasoning on the home-fries. Everything was great. I can also vouch for the french toast, pancakes and waffles. I only take away a star because they haven't reinvented the wheel here with their offerings, nothing which truly excites me.

Average breakfast place. Service was quick but it was early & I was a party of one. I had the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was yummy & the eggs cooked perfectly but the ham steak was a little gristly. The side of hash browns could've been a little crispier especially since they were a $0.75 up charge (which wasn't mentioned when they were offered as a choice) I only had one cup of coffee so I had a little bit of sticker shock when I saw that the "bottomless cup of coffee" was $2.45!! Maybe worth it if you're going to drink a lot of coffee but the overall flavor is mediocre. This was my first visit & if I were in the area again I would probably give it another chance as overall I left satisfied.

I love breakfast. Seriously, it's my thing. So now I live in Wilmington and this place is on Phantom Gourmet, obviously I have to check it out. There's about a 30-40 minute wait on a Sunday, pretty standard. The woman at the door is friendly enough, but "makes no promises" about the quoted wait time. I wonder how many times she's been yelled at? We're seated in a "romantic corner", read, a table stuck between the kitchen, a bread rack and the bathroom. If you're offered this table, wait for another one. It was cramped and constantly had people bumping you as they squeezed by.. The only major downside on the visit. The pancakes were good, not as great as I was expecting and honestly a little different, but certainly something I'd order again. Toast good, bacon great, coffee constantly refilled. Loved the bonus watermelon, that was a treat. All in all, a solid breakfast joint. I'll be back soon.

"As bad as it gets for us." Trapped between waiting in the cold rain or in the way, we were feeling unwelcome as it was. Then a staff member snapped at myself and my husband to move out her way and we were done. My husband and I left immediately. We won't be back. There is no excuse for mistreating the customer. Ever. On the upside, not feeling the breakfast vibe anymore, we landed at "Pho Number One" in Woburn. Best pho I've ever had.

This place is very popular. It has good variety and quality food. Wait can be a little long on Sundays. But I think it's definitely worth the wait. I had their Belgian waffle and meat lover's quiche. Both very good and in the right quantity. Seafood chowder is also a great choice with the bread bowl. I would love to go again.

This is just about my husbands favorite place to Get an egg and cheese sandwich. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is they're not very specialty diet friendly (ie vegan or gluten free) and I feel like these days that's pretty important ****** editing this review get the outrageous oatmeal for the vegan breakfast holy YUM

I had to do some errands near the area and got hungry so decided to stop by this local restaurant. I'm glad I did! The food was delicious! I got seated right away on a weekday afternoon. As you flip the pages of the menu, you will noticed that there are many selections but they're simple selections. I got Corney Island Panini with whole wheat bread with home fries and an orange juice. My significant other got a cup of coffee with Egg Benedict. The hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy. The egg benedict was delicious. He did wondered if there's other versions or if he can substitute because hes more into creative Egg Benedicts but all in all, thumbs up from him. For my panani, it was simple and delicious. I didn't even know I had cravings for corn beef hash until I saw it on the menu! The bread was nice and crispy (except for the bread laying directly on top of the plate, which is understandable). The egg inside the Panini was fried perfectly, along with the corn beef hash. Just a good amount overall. The homemade fries was so crispy yet soft on the inside. Plus, I can taste other flavors (probably from the oil they used). If you come here, make are to try out the homemade fries! This is must! They take credit card so don't you worry about speeding to an ATM for cash! (I personally would tip with cash) There's a pretty decent size parking lot shared among other businesses within the plaza. Coffee listed in the menu (at least the one I got) was a dollar and some change but end up being charged for $2.50. If you drink multiple cups of coffee then $2.50 is not too bad but my SO only had one so for one small cup seems a bit expensive. My orange juice was $2.50 (no refills). Although they claim the orange juice to be freshly squeezed, I've had better freshly squeezed orange juice (including at home) so I wondered if they added sugar or something else to it. Maybe it was just the time and day I went. I spent a little bit over $30 for two people, which includes tip (I usually tip at least 20% for restaurants). Overall, a great local diner for simple, delicious food. Remember to try out their homefries!

Went there about 2 months ago in the afternoon, and it was extremely busy. In most cases - good sign. The wait was going to be at least 30 minutes, but since this restaurant received 4 stars from reviewers we decided to wait. We ordered typical breakfasts consisting of eggs, omelet, home fries, bacon, pancakes, etc. Verdict - The eggs were runny, home fries were hard, and the only saving grace for those spongy and cold pancakes was the syrup and whipped cream. Bad first impression. Very disappointed. Any establishment can have an off-day, so we decided to give this restaurant another try today. And, we deliberately picked a weekday mid-morning when they weren't so busy. We got right in. We ordered a veggie omelet and eggs benedict (without meat), both with home fries and toast/English muffin. Verdict - Omelet came with cheese (which I didn't ask for and it's listed on the menu as an add-on). I'm lactose intolerant, but fortunately I had a lactase enzyme so I ate the omelet. It was average. The home fries and toast were cold. Also, the eggs benedict came with ham. We informed the waitress. She was apologetic and immediately took the plate to correct it. To our surprise, she brought the plate back within a minute. Too quick. It was obvious that they just scraped the ham off. Furthermore, the home fries and English muffin were cold. Safe to say that we will never come back.

Now i have been to this place twice both have been a take out since one time we wanted to sit there and eat and there was a 20 minute wait on a Friday morning at 8:30am This place make some killer breakfast. The prices are little over the avg and hence would be considered a lil pricy but the food is really good. I got the veggie omelet with cheese , onion and pepper with wheat toast and Home fries. The y were all good and the home fries were seasoned very well. The place has a good amount of seating and heard has some good lunch specials too. The normal includes the 'wichs and wraps and i am hoping to try them out sometime. The service is also very quick specially for the take out . If you are around the area i would def give it a shot.

A very nice brunch place! We discovered this place much later though considering its so near to the where we live! During peek brunch hours on weekend the wait can get long! We had to wait a solid 30 mins on a sat late morning abt 11:00. But the service and food was bang on so definitely worth the wait! Quantity is great and the food is delicious. One thing though , the coffee gets to be expensive considering if you are planning to have just a cup! I usually have a cup of coffee and that is flat out 2.5 for bottomless cup of coffee!

This is my second time here, the first time was by accident, this time I had to make some sort of excuse to be in the area. Once again, this place is top of the line, simple comfort food. The service is wonderful, attentive, and quick to take your order and will make sure your coffee cup is full. The food is great as well, I'm sitting here waiting on a meal big enough to feed several families, though I don't think I'll have a problem on my own. Everything is inexpensive, you may expect to pay around $10 a person for top shelf meals and stellar service. I can promise you this, your first time here will not be your last. Enjoy.

Great breakfast and lunch place! A little crowded and sometimes there's a lengthly wait, but the staff are friendly and provide coffee and snacks to those who are waiting. The staff never pressure or rush you when they are busy. The place is great for children with booth and table seating options, but don't bring a huge stroller in as there really isn't room for one. I've had the french toast with home fries to the egg dishes and assortment of their lunch options--never disappointed! Make sure you get on the hostess list as soon as you come through the door if there's a wait!

Sunday morning breakfast, to me us a real treat. This place is super- busy... We were a group of 6 in all. Our wait wasn't bad. One cool thing is that they have a do-it- yourself coffee bar with snacks while you wait! Its true and was a first for me - I knew then that I already liked this place. Service was friendly - the food very good. I had basic scrambled eggs, toast, & home fries. The diner next to me had what looked like dessert - French toast piled high with fresh sliced fruit , whipped cream & nuts - something I was to be honest, envious of : ) she said it tasted as good as it looked. Everyone else said they were pleased with what they ordered. I will definitely return...as a matter of fact, I'm planning to join friends again on another Sunday morning very soon

As good as it gets? Nah, there's much better out there for sure. I've given it a few tries after saying I wont go again.....each time, the food just sucks. We go usually cause its local. Potatoes, waaaay over seasoned and salty. Alternative is hash browns and ask for no salt BUT PAY .75 more for them!!! Nothing is offered healthier like gluten free options. This day and age, you need to have gluten free toast to offer. Get with the current times will you. The, hash taste like canned. Nothing special about their breakfast but a large quantity on your plate oversalted. So if you just like a, swilly big portion of blahh, then by all means go! Coffee as you wait....however, they will charge you $2.20 for it....so drink it up til you pop! I had a coffee while I waited for a, seat as the hostess said to....I didn't order a bottomless cup with breakfast however it was tacked on my bill. I had just asked for, water....Also English muffin is .95 more...they fail to say that as you order your food. Lotta extra charges for a, sucky oversalted tasteless breakfast. Scrambled eggs dry as can be. Scrambled eggs are out of a carton! So not real! Get em fried or easy over if you want an actual egg. Oh the spinach is frozen in the omelette....also, enough of the obscene banana picture on the, wall....male banana groping a female banana....I'd like my kids to not see it honestly. Just in poor taste for a, Restaurant. And one female restroom always with a line, as it's a tiny place. One toilet and in view as you eat. If you want an EXCELLENT lower cost delicious breakfast. ...go to the Salem Diner! AWESOME hash!!! REAL AND MADE THERE...AND GLUTEN FREE TOAST! Imagine as good as it gets...I ask for no toast as its not gluten free BUT YOU CHARGE ME .95 cents more for my kids, English muffin.... Shame on you....will never go again....

I was a bit concerned by some of the other reviews but it was great. Yes it was a Monday morning so no crowds. Good not great coffee but boy what a meal. French toast, two eggs, home fries with onions, and great sausage patties. Service was very good. One downside as it was a bit cold. AC pointed at the back of my head but I am sure if I asked they would have moved me

First review of the year for the first brunch spot of the year! On the first Saturday morning (or more like noon) of 2014, As Good As It Gets is buzzing with a full house of people, the atmosphere is wonderfully festive for the New Years and tables are mostly occupied by families. There is quite a long line but the place is spacious enough with seats for waiting, and complimentary coffee and pastries. The turnaround time is surprisingly fast, we were seated within the time frame of having one cup of coffee. Soooo many choices on the menu, from eggs made every way possible, to omelets stuffed with goodies, to waffles with lavish amount of toppings, to lunch items such as panini. I settled on the overstuffed omelet and boyfriend ordered two eggs with sausage links. The portions were gigantic, besides our main dishes, there are 2 warm toasts buttered up to goodness, and a generous portion of home fries. My omelet stayed true to its 'overstuffed' name, a large omelet stuffed with all the goodies imaginable, there is bacon, sausage AND ham, as well as mushroom, peppers, onion and tomato. The best part is of course, it's amazingly tasty, with the presence of bacon and sausage, one would expect it to be overly salty, but not so, everything is made to letting your taste buds last and savor til the very last bite. The vegetables are fresh, cooked to a perfect crispy softness and retain their original flavors. The omelet skin (the eggs) are thinly made, cooked to the perfect degree - a even layer of light yellow. (Can I have the recipe please?) I can really rave forever about the omelet, it is my favorite brunch item and this is definitely the best I've ever had. The portions are so large that we ended up taking half of it home. Our waitress is really friendly and we learned the word 'overwell' for the eggs we wanted. $21, tips included for two for the world's best omelet? Yes, please. Let's do that again. P.S.: Ordering coffee at the table DO cost money. Though you can just get up and grab a cup a few steps away.

My favorite breakfast place anywhere. I moved to Tennessee so I go there whenever I'm in town. Friendly staff and everything there tastes good. I enjoy the decorations. Conveniently located in town. Try to get there earlier or you'll be waiting for a table. They should seriously consider opening up a second location, or just open one up here cause they're lacking breakfast places worth going to down here.

My food was good and our servers were great. I feel bad giving only three instead of four stars, yet I must because they serve improperly labeled condiments--i.e., I poured what I thought was Cholula all over my eggs only to discover that I had ruined my food with some buffalo/tabasco flavored BS. I don't know if it is some kind of joke they play to suss out the Yelpie Hipsters that come in vs. their Typical Loyal Customer, but I fell for it. It was partially my fault, as whatever was in the bottle was thin and bright orange (Texas Pete, maybe?) and not brown, thick, and peppered with crack particles like Cholula usually is. My favorite item was the home fries (love that you can get them w/ or w/o peppers and onions) and the blueberry pancakes. Coffee was good, bacon was OK and my sourdough toast was OK, but not toasted enough. I would go back, but use their hot sauce with caution.

Amazing food and very generous portions. The staff members were all extremely friendly and personable, and the customer service was great. The ambiance is nice - it's definitely small but it's very cute and homey. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because of the wait. We waited about 50-60 minutes (on a Sunday morning around 9:30), but I thought it was great that they offered complimentary coffee and samples of muffins and such while we waited. Another down side is that there is not a lot of space to sit/stand while you wait, so we constantly felt like we were in someone's way no matter where we were standing. I would love to be able to come back here routinely for a great breakfast, but I'm not sure if I am willing to wait that long every time.

Basic breakfast place, always pretty busy and the staff is friendly. It's worth waiting for a table if you're in the mood for a reasonably priced, quick breakfast. The only thing is they charge you $2.00 for water and don't say anything until it's on your bill, and you pay for a refill. So ask for tap water unless you feel like spending another 4 bucks on water.

As Good As It Gets makes it on the regular rotation for my work lunch. Breakfast for lunch? Amazing. Smelling like delicious bacon all day? Yum. The breakfast here is legit. Your basic breakfast (eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat) can't be beat. Though there are basic breakfasts that come with two huge pancakes. Cannot be beat. I opt for the "double your pleasure" (eggs, choice of breakfast meat, toast, potato and 2 pancakes) - they have sausage links AND patties. HEAVENLY. If you pancake, you must pay extra for real maple syrup. Vermont Maid ain't gonna do your cakes any justice here. The service is quick and friendly. The lunch crowd is a nice mix of oldies, moms with young kids and lunch breakers. Love it.

I saw this place advertised on the Phantom Gourmet, and I thought I would give it a shot...Wow, am I glad I did !!! First off, if you have to wait to sit down, which usually happens because the locals love this place, they offer you free coffee and hot cocoa while you wait for your table...this is something I think all restaurants should, and hopefully will adopt. Once we were seated, we were welcomed by the kindest staff that I have ever come across, and their smiles and infectious smiles make all the difference. They really pay attention to the customer needs... Now the food...one word: WOW !!! The portions are huge, and I dare any of you to try and finish your plate. Not only that, but they include items in their meals that most restaurants have as added options. I had the "As good as it gets" and my taste buds are still in cloud 9...and the staff, the food, and the price will definitely have me back there again. Try it for yourself...and say HI to Claudine! You're welcome ;)

I had to drop my husband off at work at 6am locally today and was exhausted. I found this place with my Yelp app. They opened at 6am and that was all that was important to me. I have to say that this is a really cute café. There are neat little decorations like birdhouses and sparkly fish hanging from the ceiling. My server was really sweet and managed to be friendly, but not over-chipper for 6am LOL. I ordered the sampler, as per usual in a new breakfast spot. It was two eggs, choice of; corned beef hash, bacon, or sausage, choice of bread, and baked beans or home fries. I had two eggs over easy, cb hash, sourdough toast, home fries with added onion and peppers. Everything was lovely and cooked perfectly. The cb hash was definitely not canned! Hooray. The coffee was very good as well. If you are in the area, you definitely could do much worse and probably not better! I'd go back, no problem!

Went in on a Tuesday morning and got counter service. Wasn't sure if I was suppose to seat myself or not. I would've, just wasn't sure. A friendly blond woman took my order and she hand delivered about 5 minutes later to where I was standing. Very speedy but there weren't too many pother orders being processed. It was great! I forget what the name of the menu item I got was, the " everything" Panini maybe. Breakfast Panini. Doesn't matter because it was really good. Home fries were really good also. Very comfortable atmosphere inside if you were to sit at the tables and get wait service, it appears any way.

My wife and i go here every few weeks for breakfast and we LOVE it! The best "homemade" breakfast food you can get out here in the burbs. We always get the same thing: - Eggs benedict - excellent! Bearnaise sauce is really yummy.. creamy.. very good - Omelet - i love that it comes with bread (we get raisin bread) and home fries Overall, a terrific homemade breakfast place with great coffee and speedy service. When there's a line/wait, they bring out fruit and other goodies + you can get complimentary coffee while you wait. overall, highly recommended!

My wife and I were at this restaurant today for brunch. We got in at around 2 p.m. (I know, it's a late brunch) and were there until say, 4 or 4:15 p.m. In other words, we stuck around for a while and had a chance to see the extent to which the servers were hospitable (or not). In general, they were fairly nice with refills on our coffee and water and were good with getting us napkins when we asked for those. The bathrooms were also well maintained and that's worth a mention. For food, we ended up getting the "Double Your Pleasure" breakfast that includes well double of almost everything - 2 eggs (cooked whichever way you would like), 2 sausages, 2 pancakes, along with home fries. I also got a stack of 3 pancakes, topped with strawberry and chocolate chips. Needless to say, that was quite a whole lot of food and we had to take the time to finish it all (or almost all). The place is also quite inexpensive so all of this food + 2 coffees (with unlimited refills) cost us only $22 with taxes. Most importantly, in terms of the quality of the food itself, although there were no gaping holes, there was definitely room for improvement. The pancakes which I had were not well cooked in some places and they should have been cooked more. The chocolate chips that were given were sprinkled mostly on the first pancake and not spread uniformly the three pancakes. And in terms of the sausages that my wife got, they were definitely tough and less "juicy" than what I would normally prefer. As an illustration of that, when I was trying to tear off one of the sausages from my wife's plate, I ended up using so much force that the portion which should have been left on her plate essentially ended up going off her plate onto the floor. That just goes to show that they were not as soft and supple as they should have been. At the end of the day, we were happy to try out a new place but wouldn't necessarily drive out all the way to Wilmington to go to this place again. That said, if we were in the area, we would still give them another shot because they were well-decent.

This place is amazing! Wilmington Whopper is great and you get to choose your own bread. The home fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I could get these all day long. Bacon is good and thick. Pancakes are fluffy and delicious. You have to check this place out. It's busy and you'll have to wait l, but totally worth it!

Excellent service. Excellent coffee. Food was home cooking. Had panini and home fries and corn beef hash Great place for a southern girl in Massachusetts. Just a down home kinda place.

5 stars not because it is gourmet but because of how it stacks up to competition. Basically a high end greasy spoon. Very clean and very pleasant servers and employees. Typical Wilmington, the nicer elements of the inner northern ring of suburbs, exported 15 miles up 93.

What a horrible 2.5 hour breakfast experience. It started with close to one hour wait for a table. We were told it would be 30 minutes. Then there was the 20 minutes until the waitress took our order. Then on to watching new customers being seated and putting in orders after ours. Then all their orders came out and we still didn't get ours. Finally, after I went to complain, our waitress came to tell us "it would be a few minutes". Before we could ask what happened, she was gone. Still 10 more minutes till our food arrived. Her excuse was that the computer made a mixup. REALLY! She said she was sorry. When my wife started to say something, the waitress cut her off by saying,"I said sorry!" and walked off. Like that made everything alright. Now, I understand it was a Sunday and all. But, everybody (cooks and waitstaff) moved at slow speed. Like "you're here and not going anywhere". We know: they are only human, so are we! At least keep us updated what's going on and if there was a computer glich, tell the kitchen to put this order on high speed. There are much better breakfast places in the area where they understand that we, as customers, have choices of restaurants to go to and even on a Sunday they are going as fast as they can to serve you. Also, when we finally got the food, it wasn't even worth the wait: homefries were stale and not browned at all-flavorless and the omelett had frozen spinach, not very tasty. Never again to this place. P.S. to compensate, we were handed two $10 gift cerificates for our NEXT visit. We have to return to get this taken care of instead of making it better right there and now.

Good Staff: Everyone has always been pleasant, of course there is my favorites Joan, Ann. Richard the owner always takes the time to say hello. Good Food: Great Coffee, Breakfast with peppers and onions in the home fries and grilled Thomas English Muffin. Mmmm. As good as it gets has a "breakfast at home" feel and is always clean. Even the other customers seem happy (why not, with a full belly) . Convenient location and lots of parking. Five Stars*****

Checked out this place the other day, enjoyed my veggie omelet. The place gets busy quick so get there early if you can. What really cool is if you do have to wait for a table they have a free coffee bar while you wait! Staff super friendly. Will return soon! BTW: I would give 5 stars (which I never do often) if the place was modernized a little more, fresh paint, new ceiling tiles, move bathroom away from dining room and change brand of coffee.

Wilmington is about 20 miles away from Boston, but it might as well be someplace in the 1950s Midwest! I'm from a small town, but good lord, Wilmington is very very Andy Griffiths esque ! Anyways, that is relevant since it does seem like if you are an out of towner SOME of the waitstaff determines that it's acceptable to treat you like you are somehow subhuman! God, the looks of disgust one waitress routinely cast my way during brunch one day midweek! Outrageous! She also kept sighing when I asked for more water, please! I went twice and ordered oatmeal both times. Very good! Some people in town that I encountered said it's nickname is "as bad as it gets". Lame!

Best place for breakfast in the area. Three reasons: 1. While you wait: You can get yourself a cup of coffee. And we're not talking regular or decaf. I mean regular, dark roast, decaf, pumpkin spice, gingerbread cookie, french vanilla - whatever your heart desires. In a mug. Not a to-go cup. Also, free muffin samples and fruit to hold you over! In addition, there's a little chalkboard table and books for kids so they're not whining and running around the whole time. 2. When you order: Wait service is good - not AMAZING, but enough to make you want to come back for sure! Very patient while you're deciding, very accommodating with special requests, 4-stars. 3. While you're eating: The food is delicious! The best egg sandwich I've found for miles around. The banana pancakes my daughter had were also spectacular, and my husband's average-joe breakfast had him eager to come back for more. In addition to this, the prices are very reasonable - I mean less than $9.00 for a very large breakfast, around $5.95 for an average-sized breakfast. We'll definitely be back.

Myself and my family have been eating here for about three years at least once a week. The menu has a lot of options, I always find myself seeing an option that I somehow overlooked. The staff is very friendly and has a great casual atmosphere. Long wait on the weekends during primetime breakfast hours, but the wait for the food is worth it. Sometimes when it is busy, they walk around and serve some free snacks, like a cinnamon ball or pieces of fruit. They are very accommodating and its a pleasure to eat there.

The hostess looked right thru me to the guy behind me and asked him if he needed to be helped. I was annoyed that she grossly ignored me and I had to "ahem ahem" her for attention. Ugh. No polite or friendly service from this one. We're off to a great start! Maybe they don't like brown people..idk! The place is cramped so our party of five didn't quite fit at a booth. The OJ was weird. My cousin who eats EVERYTHING didn't touch his juice. Overall, the food quality was poor except for their redeeming pancake. I had a regular turkey sandwich and potato salad. But blech. Turkey was slimy a bit, and the potato salad was very mayo-y. Maybe this place is better for breakfast, but I doubt it. At least it was cheap. But I will not be returning here! If you have to eat here, just stick with the basic waffle or pancake.

A fun little spot located in Wilmington offers a gosh darn good breakfast, (a probably a good lunch as well) As Good As It Gets is a strong bet. The prices are reasonable and the staff is really friendly. They offer typical breakfast options like omelets (which are pretty hearty), home fries (with the option of peppers and onions or not) and pancakes and french toast. They also offer ridiculous breakfast sandwiches for those who want all of it to come together in a melody of munchie marvels. Mind you, the place gets fairly busy so going early is your best option. We were incredibly impressed with this place and what they had to offer. We are slowly becoming regulars since As Good As It Gets gives many reasons to keep coming back. It is a great little restaurant.

Approximately 15 cars back in the line at Bagel World on a Sunday morning, my boyfriend and I decided to venture to Wilmington to sit down for breakfast. Although there was about a half hour wait, the line moved quickly- the friendly hostess who brought us chairs and samples of Java-chip frappachinos made the wait more bearable. We had a friendly and attentive waitress who was more than willing to accommodate my boyfriends custom breakfast order- Eggs Benedict with corned beef hash instead of ham and a homemade croissant instead of the English muffin. What a delicious idea. Definitely try a grilled blueberry muffin- one of the best I've ever had. Everything is fresh and delicious and the service is solid.

Tried this place out on a whim when everywhere else around had closed at 2pm - will definitely be returning! The food was better than most breakfast places I've been to, especially the homefries. Kind and courteous staff, delicious food, what more could you ask for? Loved it!

I was working in the area, and had about 45 minutes to kill before work, so I came in for breakfast on two successive days. The food is good standard diner fare, but the service is what stood out the most for me. The waitstaff seem to know almost everyone who came in, but that doesn't mean they won't lavish the same attention on newcomers. Laughter and loud Boston accents abounded, and I was happy to be called "honey." Too bad it's not local to me, or I'd be going back more often.

We have 2 kids under the age of 3 and this is hands down our GO-TO spot when we get to go out for Breakfast. I absolutely love that you can help yourself to the coffee station while you wait to be seated. The waitstaff is friendly and the food is incredible and reasonably priced. Overall, a quality place to go with a family.

Though I've only been here 3 times, its been fantastic. Twice was breakfast takeout, and tonight was dinner. My girlfriend had the bourbon chicken which we both agreed was delicious and I had the stuffed burger which had such a great flavor that I couldn't stop eating. Portion size was very good. Granted our choices weren't extravagant, the basics were satisfying and we'll be back.

I wouldn't say this is "as good as it gets" but it is definitely "as good as it gets" in the area. With almost nothing to choose from other than dingy chinese and gas station food this small diner offers a nice variety of burgers, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast with a few unique and wacky twists. You need only to look at their colorful and creative menu to know what I am talking about. With quirky names for dishes like "Who wants a Wedge - eee Salad" or "Larry's Bird" you are enticed to read on and see everything they have to offer. I have tried a bunch of their salads which have been both fresh and plentiful. My coworkers have gone with a few of the breakfast items which they seemed to like, but they have always left them in food comas for afternoon work. I almost tried the peanut butter and banana pancakes today but was afraid of what they would do to me. I have also noticed their chowders are extremely creamy and have a tad too much butter in them but still chocked full of ingredients. For anyone who finds themselves in the area I would recommend giving it a try.

Ironically, when you give something a 5 star rating on Yelp, next to the stars it says "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" And when it comes to this restaurant, as far as breakfast nooks go, this is definitely as good as it gets! When you first arrive, there is sometimes a little wait. No problem though, because you can immediately fix yourself up a cup of coffee and grab a piece of muffin which they have samples of to hold of over. Often times on busy weekends, the staff will go around with fresh fruit and dixie cups with smoothies in it to hold their waiting guests over until their table is ready. Excellent touch here! My wife and I are actually disappointed when we don't have to wait for a table now! The breakfast itself is always perfect. Just what you'd expect of a great breakfast. My favorite is the french toast with scrambled eggs. The wait staff is always friendly and quick to refill your coffee. Check out As Good As It Gets. If you live in the Wilmington/Tewksbury area, this will become your favorite breakfast restaurant, no doubt about it!

My husband, son and I were in Mass visiting and stopped in for breakfast on Columbus day. We were directed to wait for our table in front of the food prep area. It was hard to ignore the fact that the cashier handling the money directly helped place the garnish (watermelon wedge) on customers' plates with bare hands! The cook handled the bread and other items without gloves also. Hairnets anyone??? Yes,we stayed but will probably not return!

All of our food was well prepared. I had the crab cake eggs benedict. Other selections at the table looked pretty good. The wait was very long though. We were told 30-45 and it was more than a hour before we were seated. Victim of their success I guess.

Visited As Good As it Gets on a recent vacation. Loved it. Wished I could go every morning. Best coffee! Omelets were large and full of the good stuff. Had a veggie omelet and a fruit bowl which consisted of 3 types of melons, strawberries, and banana. I was so happy with the fruit bowl. It's so hard to find fresh, cold fruit in a restaurant. Waitresses were super friendly too.

Very busy, so you know the food is good. Local crowd and creative menu. 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a 20 minute wait for two people. It's as if they feel sorry for the crowd waiting around the entryway, so every now and then they pass around complimentary pieces of fruit (honeydew and cantaloupe) and cups of beverage (hot chocolate?). Home fries can be served with peppers and onions, which are great. Coney island sandwich- corned beef hash with two fried eggs and cheese in between your choice of bread. I opted for wheat bread, which is just your typical sandwich slices. I wish they were served on thicker pieces so that I could eat my loaded sandwich like a sandwich instead of with a fork and knife. However, extensive lunch and breakfast menu. Prices are pretty good too. Plus tip and tax came out to about $25 for two people.

Excellent breakfast. Everything was great. They use New England coffee, very good. Only complaint was a very long wait to be seated. Other than that great service. Be prepared to wait.

Spending a weekend in the area and needed a place for breakfast we did a google search for any breakfast places by our hotel. This was one of the few non B&B and non chain restaurants around but was 17 minutes away...17 well worth it minutes away. As soon as we got there we saw the universal sign of a place being good, a line of people waiting but the turnaround was quick and 15 minutes later we were seated. My wife got the French toast and bacon which she enjoyed, I got a house salad with steak tips which were outstanding. A nice touch was having coffee available for people waiting and overall the place was cute in a way that a local diner should look. I can't wait for my next trip to try some more of their food.

I'm very fortunate to have such a great breakfast place in my home town. I have only been there a few times, but the service and food is always great! They typically have creative and awesome specials. It can be very crowded on weekend mornings, but the staff is good at attending to those waiting (such as by offering complementary coffee and sample drinks). I definitely recommend this place.

The food was great but the service was on the slow side. We waited a while to be seated and then to order. Even with the wait the waitresses were helpful and nice and the food was good. Worth the wait

  • Robert H.

Just OK, but not worth the wait. Ok, I was mostly disappointed with the corn beef hash. Several reviews said it was delicious, home-made, and not out of a can...all WRONG! If it was home-made, they used Hormel's recipe, and over cooked it. Mushy, flavorless, too salty. The other food was good, but nothing to write home about. I am on a quest for the best corn beef hash...guess I will keep looking! We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later we were finally seated. It is a popular place, but could be because it's the only game in town. Service was good...we had a typical, gruff, but nice New England waitress. Coffee was good. My wife got their "kick-ass"burger and had a sunny side up egg put on it. She said the burger was flavorful and cooked just right. I noticed she didn't eat the pale tomatoes and scraggly piece of lettuce, as well as the fries. Over-all I would say the place is fair, but certainly not "as good as it gets"

I am more of a lunch and dinner fan than I am breakfast foods so I normally have gotten non-breakfast foods when there. Not award winning but pretty good for the price and super family friendly! I love that they do dinner on Friday nights. It's a fun option to take the whole family out to eat.

  • Dan W.

There seems to usually be a long wait, which I take as a good sign. They offer coffee, fruit platters, and samples when you wait, so that helps. The food is very good and our waitress was nice and attentive.

  • Jennifer S.

We go here a lot for breakfast and sometimes lunch. The food is reasonably priced and consistently good. It gets very busy for breakfast on the weekends, but we really like that they offer pieces of muffins and coffee while you wait. They also walk around with pieces of fruit sometimes too. That really helps take the edge off in the event that you have to wait a little while. The only real complaint that I have is that they don't have fries. They give you chips when you get a burger or sandwich. I find that odd. Otherwise we are very satisfied whenever we go there. They give you the option to bring your own alcohol when you go for dinner. We haven't done this, but it's an interesting way around that they don't have a liquor license I guess?

This restaurant has a "homey feel" the second you walk through the door. I only experienced breakfast here, and everything is delicious and fast. Pricing is reasonable, especially when you order a combo. My favorite spot around.
